A single choice can change the world

But someone who knows what is changed can repair it just as quickly.

As long as he is willing to do what it takes.

HUNTER

I grinned as I punched the air again and again.

It had been a couple of days since I had saved Amber and had my Aura unlocked, and I'm going to say. It's absolutely busted!

Name: Hunter

Title: Thunder Bachelor

Age: 17

Race: Human (Demonic Powers)

Alignment: Neutral Good

Level: 43

HP: 530 (Regen 265 Per Minute)

MP: 930 (Regen 265 Per Minute)

Compared to my HP, my Aura was absolutely massive, and that was both good and bad.

Good, because my Aura was so high.

Bad because my HP was so low.

I was level 43, and I didn't even have 1000 HP, that was bad, very bad.

I still had all of my points, But I was saving them for now, Albeit I was getting more and more hesitant to keep stockpiling them.

I discovered my Charisma stat recently, apparently, it was related to social stuff, so It wasn't surprising that it had taken so long to discover it. At this point, I had spent more time with Grimm than with people.

Summoning my darkness I took off into the sky, and headed towards the city of Vale, searching through the streets. Then I spotted a very familiar shop, From Dust Till Dawn

Objective: Ensure Ruby's enrollment into Beacon by Robbing From Dust Till Dawn!

Rewards: Scythe Mastery, 4 Gacha Tokens

Bonus Objective: Don't get caught and stay incognito!

Bonus Reward: EX Gacha Token, Mecha Scythe

I blinked in shock at the Special Event.

'What the heck?'

I advise you complete this, Special Events are rare, and grant immensely rare rewards. EX Gacha Tokens are the 3rd rarest Gacha Tokens you can receive, right below Ancient and Mythic.

I was already planning to rob From Dust Till Dawn, but this just made it better. A grin grew on my face, as I brought out my first Gacha Token, "Let's see what this gets me" I said, crushing it.

- Zahkriisos -

Zahkriisos, which translates to Sword blood or Bloody sword, is a mask created by the Dragon overlords and gifted to a Dragonborn priest, this mask increases the power of the user's lightning.

+50% Lightning Resistance

+25% Lightning Damage

+25% Damage for Lightning Enchanted Weapons

….

"OH HELL YEAH!" I shouted with a yell of victory. Zahkriisos was one of the 4 (5 if you include Miraak) Dragonborn mask from Skyrim Elder Scrolls, on the same island as Miraak it was unique in its appearance, at least to most of the Dragon Masks.

Putting the Dragonborn mask on, I grinned evilly, and even as I watched Ruby enter the shop, I knew what was going to happen.

It was time to rob that joint.

Summoning my Wings, I flew down to the store and instantly dismissed them before entering.

The Bell rang signalling my arrival, and the owner looked up his face quickly turning to concern. Glancing around I saw Ruby was busy reading a book about weapons and was humming a merry tune as she listened to music.

Ignoring Ruby, I walked right up to the counter and looked at the owner. "Gimme all the money ya got, and don't even think about calling the authorities" I ordered, summoning my Iron Spear as I did, The Owner's eyes widened as he stumbled back, "Sure thing," he said before rushing back searching for the cash. I waited for a moment, and once he was gone, reached over the counter and pressed the distress button that called the Authorities. 'Step one, done' I thought, before walking over to Ruby who was still reading.

"The first stage of a weapons transformation should combine both offensive and defensive capabilities. Yeah totally!"

Ruby had her back turned to me, the only reason I knew it was her was because of my intuition.

Liar, you're using Observe.

Okay, that as well.

Well Damn, Ruby was tough.

You probably should've used your Points

With how tough we were, this was going to be an amazing fight!

Walking up to the little girl, I hesitated, before with a sigh I put my hand on Ruby's shoulder. Spinning around Ruby looked at me, a confused and curious look on her face. "Hello Little Red," I said, but Ruby just continued to look at me weirdly. Feeling stupid I pointed at her headphones, and she took them off. "Yes?" She asked curiously, Holding up my spear I said, "Put your hands in the air.", Ruby tilted her head at me, "Are you robbing me?" she asked. I rolled my eyes, "Nooo, I'm giving you candy" I said sarcastically. Ruby narrowed her eyes, before kicking me in the stomach.

I'll admit it, her legs were tough.

-10 HP

-90 AP

Grunting as I was pushed back by Ruby I looked up, thankful that my Mask was still in place. "Didn't think I was going to get robbed today, but at least that means I get to fight!" Ruby said as she drew Crescent Rose and transformed it into its Scythe form.

'Jesus that thing is huge.'

Grinning beneath my mask, I drew my Spear, "Let's go little girl"

Ruby narrowed her eyes, and shot towards me at blinding speeds, rose petals already clear as she charged. Jumping back I narrowly avoided the sharp blade of Crescent Rose, 'Shit!' acting quickly I clenched my jaw, before rushing Ruby confusing the Girl, with a mighty yell I kneed her out through the window, shattering the glass instantly. Leaping outside with her, I could already see panic as civilians rushed away.

"You know, I don't really like thugs like you. That makes it all the better to fight you!" Ruby said a grin on her face as she vanished completely, her semblance in full effect.

Ruby circled around me, and attempted to attack me several times, luckily for me I managed to block her, albeit barely each time.

Ruby yelled as she lifted Crescent Rose high, before bringing it down in front of me, and creating a crater from the impact, as I jumped back Ruby smirked, and an instant later I realized why, as with another yell, she disarmed me, and sent my Iron Spear flying. 'ah shit' I thought yet again.

"I win!" Ruby shouted happily as she did a little victory dance.

Innocent bastard.

I wasn't failing the special quest.

I wasn't taking my first loss to Ruby Rose.

No Way.

No How.

(Start Playing Satans Arrival)

Narrowing my eyes, I activated 10% of my Demonic Powers, and Ruby froze as she looked at me with wide eyes. Forming a staff made of Hellblaze I pointed it at Ruby, "We're not done yet Red" I said, my voice turning dark and harsh.

Rushing forward, I attacked Ruby with a flurry of swipes and jabs, which she barely had the time to dodge.

Demon Mark's stat increase pushed me past Ruby, and quickly she was on the back foot.

Again and Again, my staff found gaps in her defense.

Hunter! Focus!

I blinked as I realized that I had been beating Ruby up, quickly I changed my battle style, using less of my Demonic powers and quickly the battle was once again in Ruby's favour.

After 2 minutes had passed, I noticed something out of the corner of my eye.

Glynda Goodwitch.

My eyes widened beneath my mask, and I jumped away from Ruby quickly, and landed on a nearby rooftop, looking back I saw Glynda standing next to Ruby, already levitating several objects.

"This isn't over Little Red. We'll meet again" I said ominously, as I turned and ran.

- Ruby Red Objectives -

Objective: Ensure Ruby's Enrollment into Beacon by Robbing From Dust Till Dawn!

Rewards: Scythe Mastery, 4 Gacha Tokens

Bonus Objective: Don't get caught and stay Incognito!

Bonus Reward: EX Gacha Token, Mecha Scythe

I grinned as I looked at the rewards from Ruby Red Objectives. "But damn, If it wasn't for Darkness, I would probably have lost, and been captured. I guess I'll need to use those Points after all."

I recommend you use your Gacha Tokens first. As an unstable Human, you have the possibility to gain a species as a result of a Gacha Token, different Species offer different stat boosts and more benefits.

My eyes widened, "Wait, so I could become like an Oni Faunus or something?"

Yes

A grin grew on my face, Sweet!

Looking at the Gacha Tokens, a thought crossed my mind.

"EX Gacha Tokens are the 3rd best Gacha Tokens right?"

Yes

"So I have an increased chance to get something amazing from them right?"

Yes

"Does my level affect what species I can get?"

Yes, however, once you reach level 50 this is no longer true. Since you are level 43 I recommend training to Level 50 to get all possible species that you can.

I smiled, 7 levels? That would be easy.

I thought you said 7 levels would be easy.

I growled as the Gamer's Mind taunted me.

It had been a complete 24 hours since the battle with Ruby, and in that time I had managed to level up twice.

Fucking Twice.

"What the fuck? Why haven't I leveled up more? I should be level-flipping 55 by now!" I yelled.

It's called a leveling system.

The higher level you are, the more EXP it takes to Level up

I fucking know that, I'm not an idiot.

I sighed, slumping on a random tree, and looked through my inventory, when I noticed something.

"Common Dungeon Key? What's that?"

I'm glad you finally noticed.

This is a key to getting into a common dungeon, one of many scattered throughout the world of Remnant

How did I not notice this?

You were sulking

I groaned loudly, before looking around.

Any Idea where I can find a common Dungeon?

Go to the left

Smiling, I nodded and ran to my left.

20 Minutes later…

I stopped as I stared at the Dungeon entrance.

"Deja vu," I said as I stared at it.

I was in the middle of a grass plain, some rocks littered the ground here and there, but the most fascinating thing was the entrance to the dungeon.

Sphere in shape, it shared a large resemblance to the time-space distortions from DBX2 but was Gray instead of Purple.

Now, how do I enter?

Throw in the Key

Ah, thanks.

Summoning the Common Dungeon Key, I yeeted it into the Time-Space Distortion, the effects were instantaneous. Lightning began to crackle from the edges, light emitted from the center, before consuming everything I could see.

Moments later, the light faded, and in front of me was a white door, Roman in theme and architecture.

Be careful, once you enter, there will be no escape until you finish the dungeon

Death or Glory huh? Nice.

And with that, I stepped through the door into the Dungeon.

The first thing I heard was the chirping of birds.

Looking around I saw that I was in the middle of a large forest, green was everywhere, and Life teemed and flourished.

Bonus Rewards B: 2000 EXP, 1000 Credits, Hide of the Mountain King, 1 Gacha Token

Oooh, the Hide of the Mountain King? That sounds very cool.

"Where're all the enemies?" I wondered, walking through the forest until I heard a loud growl. Stopping, I turned around slowly, seeing a positively massive group of Bears. A grin grew on my face, as I counted. 20 bears in total. Activating 43% of my Darkness, I started to emit a dark aura, which caused hesitation in the bears.

But by the time they acted on that hesitation, they were already dead.

Maniacal laughter filled the air as I killed more and more bears, the slaughter consumed all I could see, all I was.

The thrill of battle pumped through my veins, grabbing one Bear, I broke its back before throwing it into 3 more bears, dazing them. Rushing forward, I jumped and punched down onto another Bears skull, breaking it instantly.

Red filled my vision as I pummeled more and more bears, the joy of combat filling me completely.

Finally, after what seemed like minutes, I started to calm down, my senses returned to me and I looked at the devastation I had caused.

"Holy shit"

All around me there were dozens of corpses, checking the Dungeon quest, I realized there were over 100.

And I had killed them all with my bear hands.

A CERTAIN BUSTY BLONDE

HUNTER

Before I could celebrate, I heard a low growl, turning around I saw a positively massive Bear.

Name: Great Bear

Age:?

Species: Great Bear

LVL: 30

I frowned, before glancing back at the other Bears I had slaughtered, checking their levels I saw they were all around levels 7-15. "Huh, Guess that's why they were so easy to kill" I muttered, as I jumped away from a swipe of the Great Bear and on top of a nearby tree.

I recommend performing what's known as a Flex Kill, as It will grant much more EXP

Flex Kill? What's that?

Quite simply, you kill the opponent in the most devastating or dramatic way. Or 'Flex on them'

Huh… I had an idea…

Cracking my neck, I jumped high into the air, and shot several lightning bolts at the Great Bear, before landing in front of it with a grin on my face. Dodging its first swipe, I moved behind it, and put my hands around its waist, before slamming it into the ground behind me, in a German suplex. Not wasting a moment, I quickly jumped to a nearby tree, and bounced off of it, before slamming down into the Great bear in an Elbow Drop, with so much force it cracked the ground beneath it.

I grinned as I looked at my new Level. "Escape," I said, and instantly the dungeon faded and vanished.

I smiled as the green plains surrounding the Dungeons entrance appeared, turning around I saw the door had vanished, as had the dungeon itself.

What the?

Once you leave a Common, Uncommon, or Rare dungeon, you cannot return.

Oh, well, that wasn't too bad.

I estimate you missed around 4000 credits worth of treasure and loot in that dungeon

Mother Fucker!

I sighed in frustration, before looking at my loot.

Gauntlets of the Iron Bear

+25% Physical Damage

+20 Armor

+50% Damage to Bear type enemies

Huh, not bad.

You forgot about your Mecha Scythe

Oh right, let's see…

Mecha Scythe (Unnamed)

+50 DEX

I blinked as I looked at the Mecha Scythe, there was no denying that it was one badass-looking weapon (Artstation scifi scythe) and I could customize its energy colour.

Hide of the Mountain King

The hide of the Mountain King, worn by Inosuke Hashibira during his adventures as a demon slayer. It fills you with a beastly hostility.

Immunity to Illusions and sight-gaze-related spells

I snorted as I saw Inosuke's mask appear in my hands. "That's comedy," I said, before returning it.

Remembering the final line from the rewards of the dungeon I frowned.

What's the Game Store?

A store only you can access, a game store.

Huh. I glanced at my wallet, 'Can I buy money? Lien specifically?

Yes

Sweet, how much credits do I got?

10,000

Swap half for Lien

-5000 Credits

+5M Lien

Holy shit

I shook my head, Lien wasn't as valuable as the currency I was used to. 1M was around 10K dollars back home. But still, 50K was a lot of money.

Since you are now LVL 50, I recommend you use your Gacha Tokens.

Ahh, right.

Glancing at my Inventory, I saw I had 6 Gacha Tokens, 7 if you included the EX Gacha Token.

An idea popped into my head.

'Gamer mind, can you block species drops from the Gacha Tokens, and increase the species chance for the EX Gacha Token?'

Yes

So...

It is done.

Sweet.

Reaching out, I held the 6 Gacha Tokens in my hands, before crushing them.

I blinked as I looked at my new items and perks.

Skip Travel would definitely be useful later on, in fact, everything would be useful.

But the Schematics…

Pulling out the blueprints I tried to read them, but something was wrong, the letters seemed to shift, and the pictures faded and spun.

What the fuck?

You do not meet the requirements to create the machine depicted on the blueprints, thus you are unable to read it.

Oh, that sucked, but it made sense. I put my new items away into my inventory, before holding out my EX Gacha Token.

Here goes nothing.

I crushed the EX Gacha Token, and multi-colored light erupted from it.

- SPECIES GAINED -

Gh-

Before I could finish reading the text, a piercing pain erupted everywhere. By Lungs, my heart, legs, arms, chest, everything screamed in agonizing pain.

"Help me…" I muttered.

This is Natural… Don't resist

Darkness swallowed everything I could see, pain was my only companion as I faded into a darkness as deep and wide as the Void itself.

What did you do?

I gave him a species as he asked.

That may be true, but he never asked for that species! It's more a curse than a blessing! If he doesn't learn to control it he'll become a scourge, a living apocalypse on every world he reaches!

You wanted entertainment. I give you entertainment.

Grrhh… fine… I promised myself that I wouldn't interfere, no matter how bad it got. But if he destroys Universes, it's your fault.

And my fault it shall be.

But I noticed you meddled with one of his tokens.

He was meant to get the Goro Goro no Mi, not a blueprint from your world.

I… did do that… but he should enjoy the results of the blueprint more than the Lightning Logia fruit. Besides, he can still get the Goro Goro No Mi if he completes the right quest.

But what you gave him was something a lot more powerful than some Logia Devil Fruit.

Only if he learns to master it.

He's waking up…

HUNTER

I groaned as I opened my eyes, and I blinked in confusion and surprise as I saw I was in some kind of cocoon. Frowning, I reached out, and at my touch a hissing sound emitted, and the Cocoon opened.

- Perks Gained -

Your vision in the Dark is superior to that of any Faunus

Suffocation Immunity

You do not require air or any gas to breathe. Thus you can survive in a vacuum

Frostbite Immunity

You are immune to Frostbite

Armored Skin

Your Scales provide you with armor-like skin, harder than steel.

Unnatural Order

Disregard the Natural order, and regrow vital organs or limbs completely.

I blinked as the words faded from my sight. 5 Perks right off the bat? Damn this Species must be OP as heck. But what was Unnatural Order? What kind of Faunus was I?

Look in a mirror or something with a reflection

Shrugging, I looked around, eventually finding a nearby river. Walking up to It I looked into my reflection, and instantly I was shocked. "What the hell?!"

I had grown a couple of inches.

Before I was 6'2 foot tall (Six foot, two), but now I was 6'6, (Six Foot Six). My body had buffed out and now I had proportions not dissimilar to that of Goku from Dragon Ball.

My previously brown hair had turned completely golden, and not, as in blonde. But as in it literally looked like gold Ore. The same happened to my eyes, which were previously electric blue, but now are golden as well. Or, kinda lightning golden? Is that a thing?

My face had taken on a more natural and smooth appearance but had features that reminded me of a reptile.

Speaking of…

Looking at my face, chest, and my arms, I saw that I had literal Scales. And not patterns that look like scales, actual golden scales. Along my forearms, on the sides of my ribcage, all over my shoulder plates, heck I even had a thin line of golden Scales going down the side of my face, starting at my cheekbone and stopping before my chin, so they didn't meet in the center.

My ears were even pointed!

"What the heck am I?" I repeated as I looked over at myself, "Obviously I'm some kind of reptile. Maybe a dragon" I trailed off as I remembered something.

- New Quest -

- Kin of the Dragon -

Objective: Discover your true species, and uncover the secrets of your heritage.

Reward: ? Title, +500 to all stats, Unlock all species Perks, ? Perk

I frowned, what's going on?

Your species is hidden to avoid problems.

Like what?

Like your death. Your species is so powerful that at your current level, attaining all of its perks and abilities would overwhelm you, causing your death at best, and costing your sanity at worst.

Oh, but what does it mean by 'unlock all species Perks?' Does that mean I can't unlock some of the perks?

No, it just means that any remaining Perks would be unlocked. Though there are several Perks that are locked

As for your Points, I suggest you spend them on your lowest stats, like charisma, Wisdom and luck.

Charisma will raise your social abilities.

Wisdom will raise your Mana regeneration

And Luck will increase your general luck, but also improve the chances for better Gacha drops, not that you seem to have had trouble with your previous drops.

I'm fast and smart as fuck boiiii!

What are you going to do now?

I think I'll search for a way into beacon.

This will prove difficult for you.

Huh? Why? I only battled Ruby a day or two ago

Your metamorphosis took 10 days. The classes and teams of beacon have already begun, thus it will be difficult to enter beacon.

What?! Ten days?! I need to see if Cannon's intact!

Be warned, you no longer appear as you once did, meaning you may have explaining to do.

I can deal with that later.

Summoning my wings of darkness, I took off into the air and headed in the direction of beacon.

On my way to beacon I went through my stats, perks, and did calculations on my new strength. I also changed my Lightning to a golden colour, and my darkness had gained a golden outline.

Finally, the large and I mean large academy appeared on the horizon. "Let's see, if it's been 10 days since Ruby was accepted into beacon… a couple of days probably gap… and a week of no classes if the fanfiction beneath a broken moon was to be trusted… Maybe the classes are just beginning?"

Are you really basing your hypothesis on fanfiction and some random guesses?

Yes, Yes I am.

Arriving at Beacon, I looked around and found a quaint little hidey-hole where I could camp out until nightfall.

Why are you so adamant about changing the Cannon RWBY timeline?

I'm not adamant about it, I just didn't want to change the bone structure too much. Mainly just team RWBY, besides I've already changed several things.

Like?

Amber.

Right.

Why are you hiding? You have the capability to enter beacon without restriction with your darkness wings.

While that is true, I don't want to be discovered. And besides, I want to enchant my stuff.

Grinning, I summoned my enchantment table, and put my Iron spear on it.

Enchant Lightning Rod I?

Y/N

'Yes'

Almost instantly an ethereal glow surrounded my Iron spear making it look like it was a Minecraft enchantment for a moment, before the glow faded, and after a quick check of my stats I saw my AP had been drained by 100.

Huh, not bad, I should probably enchant the rest of my stuff.

Nodding in satisfaction, I returned my Enchantment table to my inventory and gazed at my new enchanted weapons.

Turns out I couldn't enchant a weapon more than once, but after asking Gamers Mind I found out that I would need to increase my Enchanting level to 20 before I could add multiple enchantments to a single weapon.

On another note, I had started to train with my Scythe, which I had started to call Deathbringer, and had upgraded the Scythe Mastery Skill a bit. But not nearly to the level Ruby had, according to Gamers mind, she would be at level 55/100 a Master, and Qrow would be even higher at 80/100 an Elder.

Looking up I saw the shattered moon of remnant had started to rise, so with a final look back at my hidey hole, I summoned my Darkness wings, and flew into beacon.

My first impression of Beacon was that it was quiet.

Too Quiet.

Shaking off my suspicions, I flew around, drawing a mental map of beacon.

"This place is huge" I muttered as I passed the cafeteria, which had no signs of the legendary food fight of 1988 where Yang would be thrown into the stratosphere somehow…

Continuing my search, I eventually found the students' dorms, and began the very long process of listening to each one in an attempt to find team RWBY.

After a couple of minutes of searching, I heard a familiar voice arguing with someone.

Moving closer to the window, I saw Ruby arguing with Weiss.

"- Drink Milk!" Ruby was saying.

"That doesn't make you an adult!" Weiss responded

"Calm down you two, we've only been here for a few days and you're still trying to rip each other apart? Weiss-Cream you need to cool down" I rolled my eyes as the Busty Blonde known as Yang appeared, wearing her Pajamas like Ruby and Weiss.

"I will Cool down when the school makes the reasonable decision to change our leader!" Weiss said, turning around to go to her bed when she froze and her eyes widened.

I frowned and looked behind me, what was she looking at? I was the only…

Oh right.

"Intruder!" Weiss shouted, pulling out Westchester Sauce (I don't remember the real name) and pointing at me, quickly a glyph appeared and she shot an Ice-spear at me.

The Glass shattered and I was pushed back by the sheer force of the Ice.

Not because it was strong, but you try and hold your ground when you've got no ground to hold on two.

Grunting I was about to put on Zahkriisos, when I realized that I had no need, and turned to look at Team RWBY in their complete glory.

Well, almost complete glory, it was kinda diminishing since they were in their pyjamas and Blake looked half asleep.

"Who are you? Identify yourself!" Weiss demanded, another Glyph appearing on the edge of Westchester Sauce. "Look at him! He's got scales he's a Faunus!" Ruby said excitedly. "Golden ones two, never seen a Faunus like him. Mama Likey" Yang added. "Are you a member of the white fang?" Blake asked, "No" I answered, before saying. "And I will now take my leave! Farewell!" I tried to fly away when I suddenly felt something grab me, my eyes widened as I noticed a purple glow around me.

"Beacon doesn't do well with intruders as I'm sure you know boy."

Slowly I turned my head to see Glynda standing there, her riding crop raised. I'd been caught in her semblance, crap.

"Professor Goodwitch!" Weiss exclaimed, only for Glynda to shoot her a withering glare, "Next time you spot a possibly dangerous intruder on beacon grounds, I advise that you call for help instead of recklessly attacking them. You are not a huntsman yet Weiss." Weiss deflated in shame.

Glancing at Glynda I used Observe.

Damn, I wasn't expecting this. All of their levels were similar, and It makes sense that Weiss was the weakest of the eldest 3, she was famous for her power to lose every fight.

Though, I didn't understand Blake's title.

The Word Blake translates to Black and Belladonna is a word meaning beautiful woman, but is also a poisonous flower.

The more you know.

As Glynda walked closer to me, I narrowed my eyes, "Golden Scales? What kind of Faunus are you?" Glynda muttered, "Yeah what kinda Faunus are ya scaly?!" Yang shouted.

- Title Gained -

Scaly

A nickname given to you by Yang Xiao Long.

It annoys you.

Damn, right it did.

Letting loose a low growl, I charged my Darkness, using 40% Glynda's eyes widened as she saw the mark appear on my face, travelling down my right side and over my right eye. "No idea" I muttered, before with a mighty yell, I broke free from Glynda's Semblance.

Glynda was pushed back by the sheer force that I released as a result of breaking free from her Semblance, kicking up a shit ton of dust.

"He broke free from Miss Goodwitch's Semblance?!" Weiss shouted in surprise.

As the dust cleared, I smirked at the shock on team RWBY's faces. "Look at his face! It changed" Ruby exclaimed.

With a wave, I summoned my Darkness Wings once again, before taking off into the sky, flying away from beacon as fast as I could.

Deep Below the earth…

Something Stirred…

It sensed it…

Slowly an ancient beast, feared by many, opened its eyes…

As the waking world made itself known to it one thing immediately caught its attention

An influx of power…

of potential

for Destruction

A flash of terror shot through its ancient form, for It, recognized the aura, it recognized the species.

Its breath became laboured, its blood cold, its heart fast, as It felt for the aura of the destroyer.

Of the living apocalypse.

Slowly the terror turned to fear, then to caution and finally curiosity, as It sensed something… different about the aura…

Something had been born with His Blood, the Blood of the Calamity made flesh.

This was not the monster that he had battled long ago, nor was it anywhere near the same level of power.

Its greatest abilities were slumbering, its true form hidden. It was still young, learning…

But if it continued to grow, It could discover what it truly was, It could claim the throne that had been abandoned so long ago…

It needed to die…

Slowly the ancient bones and flesh moved, dust falling to the ground as the beast stood for the first time in a thousand years.

Leaving its cave, it looked up at the shattered moon, broken by the Gods long forgotten…

And it roared.

Hello from Spedyalarm!

I apologize if this chapter seems a bit... wacky...

But I was trying to get the boring stuff out of the way

Now, I already know what Hunter's new species is, but can you guys guess?

Originally I had planned for it to be revealed right away, but that wouldn't be fun or dramatic would it?

So instead, he's going to have to find out what he is.

As for why the species is so broken?

...

Because the creature that he is a Faunus of is that broken, and I couldn't have him keep looking bad.

And as for the species he got, I quite literally put a ton of random species in a wheel of names, spun it, got a species category, put down famous/powerful members of said species, and spun the wheel again and I got his species.
