I winced as I sat up, and looked around at my surroundings but all I saw were white, brown, and green splotches.
My head was ringing, and my ears were high-pitched demonic screeching at me, I shook my head trying to get rid of the screeching but to no avail. Thankfully it faded away quickly, and my eyesight cleared up, allowing me to really see my surroundings. I seemed to be in some kind of snowy tundra, but beyond that, I had no clue as to where I was.

I flinched slightly when I saw the rewards and the mission. Holy damn, I was in Xenoblade! Sure I was in Aionios of Xenoblade 3, a mix of 1 and 2, but still! In my opinion, Xenoblade, specifically Xenoblade 2, had some of the hottest Waifu's ever.
Hell, Nia was one of my top 5 Waifu's, I wouldn't need any reward to save her.
Really? Well then…
No, that's not an excuse to get out of extra stuff.
Also, Ether Perk?
That means Ether is like Aura, or Chakra, a Unique stat.

Huh? Optional Quest. The Monado?!
Wait, hold up, I can get the Flipping Monado? A weapon, forged by a God, that lets me see the future, and a shit ton of other abilities?
An optional Quest is a Quest that you can accept or deny.
Optional Quests have specific conditions and specific rewards.
The quest, Omniblade, is the only way for you to receive a Monado.
In addition, Omniblade only appears while a Xenoblade-based Quest is activated, Optional Quests are rare and it will be a long time before you see Omniblade again, as Optional Quests can only appear once every 4 months.

I looked at the Omniblade quest, and moved my jaw around, thinking as quickly as I could, and yet even as I watched the time to accept continued to drop. Finally, as it reached 10 I growled and said, "Accept!"

I hope I don't regret this. With a sigh, I checked my inventory and sure enough, all of my Items, Relics, and weapons were blocked. So essentially my entire inventory, which included my Senzu beans, unfortunately. I checked my other abilities and powers, and thankfully they were all still intact, and I could still use them, so I shouldn't be too defenseless.
With my Level, and strength, the Monado should do 1140 base damage, 2280 damage to inorganic enemies, and 570 damage to everything else. After a Moment, I summoned the Monado, and I smirked slightly as I looked at it.
It was definitely the Monado I, the first version of Shulks (Or Zanzas) Monado, the one which he used for basically the entire game.
After a quick check on the blade, I happily found that most of the Monado arts were already unlocked, Buster, Shield, Purge, Enchant, and Eater.
So at least the Monado I wasn't that bad.
Focus.
Your quest.
Right.
Shaking my head, I looked around, I needed to find Nia, and I should probably do it fast. Putting the Monado on my back, instead of my inventory, I decided to start my search at Cloudkeep.
That Bonus Objective would be well worth the effort.
I whistled in amazement at Cloudkeep, cause damn it was high-tech.
I'd already looked around for Nia, both in and around Cloudkeep, and found nothing, although Cloudkeep was hidden from most people, I had magic, Aura, and wings. So I'd found it pretty easily.
Although that did pose a problem, was this before Nia went to sleep, or after?
If it was before, then I was walking blind.
If it was after, then that meant I got to beat the shit out of Consul D for impaling Nia, which would really make my day better.
So I'd opted to stand on the balcony of Cloudkeep, and look at the majesty of Captocorn peak, while also keeping a keen eye out for any signs of the Ouroboros, Nia, or any Moebius.
Why I wasn't leaving?
Well, I wanted the shit beat out of Consul D, and I wanted to be the one to do it. I also wanted to be the one to save Nia from the Moebius, and If the Ouroboros team showed up while I was out looking for Nia, then I'd practically fail.
But staying here also had its risks…
I recommend searching the surrounding area while keeping a close eye on Cloudkeep.
Well, okay.
Sighing, I summoned my wings and took off into the sky, before beginning my surveillance for Nia.
12 minutes later…
As I continued my flight path, I groaned in annoyance. Where the frick was Nia? Or anyone for that matter?
Shaking my head, I decided to turn around and return to Cloudkeep, but just as I turned around, I heard an explosion erupt behind me, and I froze, before spinning around and rushing towards the rising smoke.
NIA 3rd
Nia liked to believe she couldn't be caught off guard. She had been alive for thousands of years after all, and was one of the strongest people in Alrest and now Aionios to boot. Not to mention she'd gone through more shit and craziness than most people would ever dream of.
But now she was proven wrong.
"Queen Nia, I ask that you do not resist." Noah, no, N, said. As the Smoke cleared, Nia growled in response, summoning her sword as she faced him.
Noah had died when he had bowed to Z.
N was clad in golden armor, a mask covering his face, and his black hair falling loosely across his shoulders, his black blade was by his side.
"Never," Nia said, making N sigh, "Fine then. I guess I'll just bring you in pieces." Then N snarled and lunged at Nia, drawing his shadow black blade, she narrowed her eyes and blocked N's attack, but almost instantly N launched a flurry of slashes, strikes, and complex arcs. Each of which Nia blocked with ease, finally with a yell Nia jumped up and kicked N away, and took a new stance as he stumbled for balance, "You're a few to millennia young to be fighting me N."
N growled as his right eye began to glow, as an infinity symbol appeared in it and he pointed his blade at her.
"You underestimate my power.", Nia's eyes widened, and an aura of power surrounded both of them. "Don't try it." she warned, shaking her head, but N ignored her, and with a yell, rushed at her, Ether coating his blade, and the Ether grew until It was larger then a small Gogal. Preparing her own blade, Nia readied to counter N's attack.
But their blades never met.
"Monado Buster!"
HUNTER
"Monado Buster!" I yelled as I drove the Monado, its blade glowing a bright purple into the ground between Nia and N. The force from the blow released a small shockwave of power, that pushed both warriors away, and kicked up dust, shrouding me, and I quickly deactivated the Monado.
It seemed that this was before Nia went asleep, lucky me.
Gripping the Monado tight, I turned to face N, and as the Dust faded, and narrowed my eyes as he saw me. "Who are you?" both N and Nia asked at the same time. I replied by raising the Monado high and pointing the end of the blade at him. "An enemy of Z," I replied, before activating the Monado, earning a gasp from Nia. "The Monado?", N snarled, "Then you will die."

I narrowed my eyes at N, his stats were far lower than mine. It was almost embarrassing, N was meant to be one of the most powerful enemies in the game and look at him. The only thing he surpassed me in was DEX. And I could fix that with my points easily.
N seemed to come to the same conclusion as me, as his eyes widened and I smiled, "Give up and go home N. You don't stand a chance."
Even as the words left my mouth, I should've known that it was a mistake.
N growled, and his right eye began to glow brighter, and I stumbled back in surprise. "Something tells me I should've stayed quiet…" I muttered when with a yell, N was enveloped in light and grew until he stood around 15 feet tall.
I growled as I recognized the form, It was Noah's Ouroboros form, an exact replica in fact. The only difference was instead of an Ouroboros symbol, it was an infinity symbol.

I walked back to stand between N and Nia, "We're in trouble. He's more than twice my speed now." I said over my shoulder, "How do you know that?" Nia asked, and as I heard her walk up next to me, I glanced at her clothes, somehow she'd changed into her combat clothes. "Experience and observation," I answered, holding the Monado in front of me, using it as a guard between us and N, who was simply looking at us.
N didn't have a Moebius form in the game, so why did he have one now?!
The game doesn't present everything.
All of the Consuls have Moebius forms, you just don't see most of them use it.
Great.
Suddenly, N charged forward, and all color seemed to fade from the world, my eyes widened as he drew one of his blades, and faster than I could react, drove it into my chest.
The Image vanished, and N charged forward, drawing his blade, I activated 50% of my Darkness, and grabbing Nia, leaped away from N's attack.
My eyes widened again as I realized what just happened.
I had a vision.
"What the bloody hell? Where'd you get those dark markings from?" Nia asked in confusion, and I glanced at her in response, "It's a power called Darkness, it makes me stronger, and lets me regenerate from basically anything. But I keep the damage, sort of…"
What really happened was that my HP didn't regen, even if everything else did, unnatural order, and my Senzu beans usually did the HP regen.
I quickly did some calculations in my head, and I didn't like what I found.
Even If I put all my stat points into DEX, I'd still be behind N in speed by around 191 DEX, not a favorable outcome. To match our outpace N, I'd need Darkness, the mask of vengeance, and the nunchucks of Lightning. And I couldn't use the last 2.
I glanced sideways at Nia, usually, I'd ask right about now If I could be her driver while we fought N, but if I did that, then I'd fail the Omniblade quest. And I wanted the Monado, even If I had to suffer for it.
I narrowed my eyes at N, his STR wasn't that high, and neither was his HP, not compared to…
I grinned as an Idea formed in my mind.
N growled and rushed at us again, but this time, I stayed still and ignored the Vision about me getting skewered again. "Hey, Shadey we need to move!" Nia yelled as she jumped back, but I stayed still. And as N got closer, Nia found out why.
My shadow stretched outward in front of me, growing to sizes that shouldn't be possible currently. And as soon as N stepped foot in it, Ramarak erupted from it, grabbing N by the arm, and tossing him over the hills and far away…
"WHAT THE BLOODY FUCK?!" Nia yelled in absolute shock as she dropped down next to me and pointed at Ramarak "WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL IS THAT?!" I chuckled before saying, "That, is Ramarak. And he's a skull crawler and my Familiar." Nia blinked in disbelief, "What's a familiar, and what's a Skull Crawler and WHY IS HE SO FLIPPING BIG!?" I shook my head, "A familiar is basically a magic pet, A skull crawler is a species of Titan, and he's so big because they can grow to be that big." Nia turned her gaze back to Ramarak, a look of disbelief clear on her face. "If that's a Titan, then I'm a Gonzalez." I chuckled, before looking back at Ramarak.
When I'd started to train him, I'd leveled him up a bit, and his appearance had even changed as a result. Now he had 2 glowing red lines going down his back, with flame-like energy, not unlike Endeavors flames, erupting from them. I'd even unlocked his Aura and MP, and it was a bitch to do.

Yeah, While Ramarak didn't have that much MP, he was a beast in basically everything else.
"Who are you?" Nia asked as Ramarak burped out the Skull of what I hoped was a cow and looked at the Skull in mild confusion. "My name is Hunter Aurum, and I'm here to help you get to Cloudkeep.", Nia raised an eyebrow, "What's in it for you?" I shrugged, "Well, I get sweet rewards. But I'd help you, either way, I hate Z." Nia raised an eyebrow but said nothing. I looked in the direction that Ramarak had yeeted N, "Do you think he's dead?" Nia asked, but I shook my head, "Probably not. Ramarak didn't deal that much damage to him." I looked at Nia before saying, "Follow me and stay close. I get extra rewards If you don't get hurt." Nia rolled her eyes but followed me anyway, and we, led by Ramarak, made our way to Cloudkeep.
HUNTER 3rd
Hunter looked around, and as he led Nia to the Cloudkeep, he flinched as a Vision flashed in his mind. In an instant, Hunter grabbed Nia around the waist, and a moment later, a blade of energy flashed through Nia would've been had she continued running. "Wah!" Nia yelped as she looked at the cut in the ground, and then to the right in search of the source. Hunter narrowed his eyes, and Ramarak growled beside him, as N still in his Moebius form, appeared. "You can't escape," N said, but Hunter stepped forward, brandishing the Monado I, "Get into the Cloudkeep, I'll deal with N." Nia frowned, "Don't go trying to sacrifice yourself, you said it yourself, N's stronger than you." Hunter glanced at Nia, and while he was distracted, N lunged at them, his blade outstretched, "Watch out!" Nia yelled, moving to push Hunter out of the way, but she was too slow.

Turning his gaze to N, Hunter activated his unleashed wrath once again, and stopped N's sword with one hand, shocking both Nia and N, "How… impossible!" N yelled as Nia looked at Hunter like he had just grown 3 heads. "I never said he was stronger. Just faster. Now Go!" Hunter yelled as he threw N away, causing the Moebius to tumble and roll, before jumping back onto his feet, Nia nodded, turned around, and rushed towards Cloudkeep. "N! Surrender, you may be faster, but I am far stronger than you. If you attack me again, I will not hold back." Hunter warned, but his words fell on deaf ears, as N roared and charged at Hunter. Who merely snarled in response, activated the Monado, and rushed at N.
The two clashed in an explosion of power and strength, a shockwave of force erupting from the contact between the two. Instantly, N drew one of his blades, and swung it at Hunter, however the blade merely bounced off of Hunter, his darkness moving to protect him. Taking the opportunity, Hunter shouted, "Monado Buster!" and the Blue Blade of the Monado turned Purple, with a Yell, Hunter slashed the arms off N, before kicking him away.
However, N wasn't put down so easily, as mere moments later, Ns arms had regrown, and he drew his other blade, before charging at Hunter, outmatching him in terms of speed, N sliced him across the face, back, and left arm, earning a cry of pain from him.
"GGGAAAHHHRRR!"
N's head shot up in surprise as Ramarak barrelled into him with enough force to send the Moebius into light orbit, and then as he tried to regain his balance, a bolt of lightning struck him, and N yelled in pain.
As he fell back down to earth, N looked around for Hunter, and spotting him, threw his blades at him. "Rising Tornado!" N yelled. Hunter looked at the two blades as they shot towards him from either side and bared his teeth, as he yelled, "Monado Shield!" and planted the Monado into the ground, as a sphere of Blue energy surrounded him, both of N's swords were deflected. Lowering the shield, Hunter rushed at N, who had now landed on the ground and had his swords once again.
Raising his blade, Hunter attacked with an overhead Arc, which N barely blocked with both of his blades. Continuing with the momentum, Hunter twisted off of N, and spun around behind him, slashing him in the back several times. "Gaah!" N yelled, before turning around to face Hunter and launching a flurry of attacks.
Hunter's eyes widened, and as the Monado glowed brighter, he dodged the attacks one by one, and N quickly noticed this. Yelling, N spun around and with his hair, japped at Hunter, who grabbed the appendage, only to be cut in half by N's swords.
As the two halves of Hunter rolled away, N laughed in triumph, but as he turned away, he failed to see the darkness connecting Hunter's two halves and stitching them back together.
"I'm not done yet!"
Ns eyes widened, and he turned around to meet the fist of Hunter, who was alive and well. The force of the attack nearly broke N's face and sent him flying back several feet. Planting one of his blades into the ground, N managed to stop his movement and looked up at Hunter with a shocked expression. "How! I cut you in half!", But N was only met with a dark glare from Hunter, "It takes a lot more than that to kill me!" Raising the Monado, Hunter yelled, "Monado Eater!" and its Ether turned black, N snarled and charged at Hunter again, intent on ending the fight then and there.
And in doing so fell straight into Hunter's trap.
With a yell, Hunter jumped to the side and cut N along the side, the effects of the blow were almost instantaneous, N fell to one knee as he felt a chunk of both his Ether and life force, be ripped away in moments. He quickly turned around with wide eyes at the Monado, "What did you do to me?!" He yelled, drawing both of his blades once again, but kept his distance from Hunter's blade. "Monado Eater absorbs the life force, and as it turns out, Ether from those we feel its touch. And it just stole both from you." N growled again, he wasn't going to let some nobody beat him! With a ferocious yell, he charged at Hunter, bringing his blades up in front of him in an X symbol, and yelled. "Apocalypse Strike!" as he broke the formation, spun counterclockwise, and brought both of his swords in a sideways slash aimed at Hunter's neck.
"Ninja-go!" Hunter yelled, spinning around himself as a tornado of golden-tinted darkness erupted from him, meeting N's Apocalypse Strike head-on.
The two attacks clashed in an explosion of light and might, the sound of cutting metal ringing loudly around them as they both pushed the other in a fight for dominance, bringing them to a standstill.
However, as N began to push Hunter back, the advantage of having a familiar was made apparent.
Without a moment's warning, Ramarak barged into N from behind, breaking the Moebius' guard and stance, almost instantly N's blades were ripped from his hands, and Hunters Spinjitzu collided with N's chest, ripping it apart. "Gaaaaahhhh!" N screamed in pain as the Monado ripped into his flesh. The Spinjitzu vanished and revealed Hunter with the Monado leveled at N's chest. "Monado Purge!" He yelled, as a burst of green light erupted from the blade, and consumed N.
Within moments, N was on his knees and reverted back to his Human form.
Narrowing his eyes, Hunter returned the Monado to his back, then with a single punch, knocked the Consul out, causing N's body to become limp and fall to the floor.
Hunter could barely contain his grin, and as his Darkness faded he raised his right hand into the air.
The fight was won.
HUNTER
I sighed in mild relief as Ramarak picked up N, and with a single movement threw the Consul to the horizon, Team Rocket style.

Although, there was a problem. If Ether won't naturally regenerate, then what if I ran out of Ether while building the Machine? And I don't want to have to keep coming back to replenish my Ether supply, that would be far too annoying.
As said earlier, Ether Cylinders and Crystals can replenish your supply. Senzu beans will also replenish Ether.
And that helps me how? I don't have Ether cylinders or crystals. And I don't want to exhaust my already dwindling supply of Senzu beans.
There is only 2 ways around your current predicament. Either you luck out with a Gacha Token and get a Perk or item that allows you to bring Ether to wherever you are or gives you infinite Ether. Or you level up Ethersmith until it reaches Level 50, so you can create an Ether Generator.
Well, that's handy.
I sighed and dragged my hand down my face. Ethersmith was proving to be quite the annoying perk to get. But at least now I had Ether.
Speaking of…
Is it possible for me to get a blade now?
Yes, it is possible for you to get a Blade now.
However, you won't find any, with the exception of Nia and Poppi, in Aionios right now.
Well that sucked, really wanted to get my own blade.
I sighed, well, guess there isn't anything really important going on here anymore, not for 500 years or so. Wait, that was Xenoblade 2.
Eh, might as well go back home then.
"Escape"
But as the dungeon faded and shifted back to Remnant, I remembered something.
I was showing up in the dead middle of an Atlas base which I'd basically assaulted, mere seconds after I'd vanished likely.
Eh, at least I'd get a kick out of it.
Hopefully.
I originally had a very different direction for this chapter. And I spent hours just trying to figure out what this dungeon's quest was going to be. I settled on an idea, wrote it, scrapped it, put all the options on a wheel, spun the wheel, basically got the exact same thing, got annoyed, but decided to do as the wheel demanded.
I gave Hunter the Monado, because I thought he would look cool with it.
And yes, I have realized that I am basically handing Hunter OP weapons, first the Dawnbreaker, then the weapons of Spinjitzu, and now his own Monado.
But let's be honest, Gamers are always OP. And I just so happen to be a hoarder in essentially every game I play, including Skyrim.
I literally collect every single enchanted weapon I ever find, no matter how terrible it is. I have enough weapons to outfit the entire Stormcloak rebellion at this point in Skyrim.
Also, the poll for who Hunter will summon will end once I release chapter 14, as the winner will appear in chapter 15.
