Prologue
I am very old, more than two hundred and fifty years old, and I have lived a life full of danger, excitement and magic. I have duelled with kings, treated with enemies and kept the Allied Lands free from subjugation; yet, I have been alive so long that people have forgotten much about me and the events which shaped the world we know today.
I am a child of two powerful magicians with strong, unusual magic of my own. I am the Lady Karine, Head of family Delvon, House Velan and this is my story.
