The middle of May came rolling in, and Adley found herself at one of the training sessions. An important one. That was what Marcus told her. She really didn't see why being up at such an ungodly hour was required. Unless the army was upon their doorstep she didn't see the urgency to have her up so early. It was Saturday for heaven sakes, and the sun wasn't even fully above the horizon. The clouds covered the sky as normal in Forks. The vampires were around about to begin training. There were a good few from the Volturi Guard that she assumed were not here often. A few wolves had also come to watch and learn.

Adley was sat upon the fallen tree. A blanket was draped over the log to keep critters from directly crawling on her. The weather had become warm enough for the things a week or so ago. She loved nature. She loved to be active during the summer. The outdoors were a second home for her. Just bugs on her skin? Was a whole different issue. Bella was beside her wrapped up in a cozy blanket. The girl looked like she had also been tossed from her bed.

Adley sat sipping on a coffee, trying her best to distract herself from the sight before her. Marcus. He was currently standing with his brown hair collected back in a messy bun. His muscle shirt revealed his arms. The upper and lower arms that, less than twelve hours ago, she'd been holding onto desperately while he drove her to climax. Their sex life wasn't lacking since meeting. Right now though, they did not have time to sneak off.

"Good morning." A throat cleared.

Adley reddened turning to Edward Cullen. He was standing straight as a board beside Bella. His grey t-shirt and track pants an outfit ready to be destroyed. They were all casually dressed to engage in this all. She'd been advised to even put on yoga pants and a work out tank top, which she wore under a sweater.

"Morning." Adley grinned.

'Don't read my mind if you don't want to see shit.' She mentally berated.

"I cannot help it." He huffed. "I wish I could."

"Have you tried meditating and focusing on building a mental wall?" She asked, curious if he had at least tried.

"Yes. It's of no use."

"That's shitty."

"Adley." Bella snipped, nudging her side. "Language."

"Apologies," she replied, the grin pulling at the corners of her mouth. "That seriously fucking sucks massive balls, bro. Better?"

Bella shook her head covering her face. "Marcus—"

Adley slapped a hand over the teen's mouth. She was just having fun. Bella didn't need to call in Marcus as if she were a child. Plus, he was busy speaking with Carlisle and was too late though. He whipped around looking across to her. She saw the concern in his aura.

Her heart skipped a beat before increasing. Her cheeks turned bright red. Think of other things Adley… she mentally berated herself. God she was a bit more pent up than she normally was. Her mental wall she'd been sure to put in place.

"Nothing!"

He sauntered over, not taking his merlot eyes off of her. He moved at a human pace. A few heads turned to them, watching. Fuck. Adley sat up removing her hand from Bella's mouth. The teen smirked sitting back.

"What trouble are you causing now, Little One?" He questioned, stopping in front of her.

She craned her neck back to see his face. The height difference didn't help her. "None, how rude of you to assume I'd be up to no good."

"I am inclined to believe young Cullen's uncomfortable position, and Bella telling you to mind the language, you were up to something."

"I plead the fifth." Adley huffed, sticking her tongue out at him.

Marcus pressed a kiss to her forehead before pulling a few inches back. "Behave."

Don't say it... don't say it... Adley mentally ground into herself. She so badly wanted to bite back, 'make me'. She thought better of it though clenching her mouth shut. They did not have the time to pursue the repercussions of her remark. This was going to be torture. She sighed settling in.

Marcus backed away to address the few vampires around. All really fell in sync with him.

She was reminded once again. He wasn't just her mate. He wasn't just the person she found herself in a relationship with. He was one of three vampires who ruled the vampire world. He commanded an air of respect and drew attention of all before them. He was a dominant figure in this forest currently.

Dominant… down girl… She would seriously need to excuse herself for a cold shower when they got home.

"Thank you for joining us this morning. We have been honoured with the presence of Master Marcus, and Lady Adley. Master Marcus will be setting forth some training." Demetri greeted everyone.

The group had taken to a large semi circle. The Cullen family stood close to Adley, while the guard took to the head and back of the group. The other side was the shifters who were in wolf form. No all of them she assumed but a good number of them.

Marcus stepped up. "Morning, today we will start with simple exercises. I wish to see first and foremost where everyone is at on skills. The Cullen coven, I realize is not familiar with newborns however has been training the last few weeks. Our guard and newer additions have limited exposure to newborn armies. No one here has any experience with Original Vampires."

The few nodded giving him the response he was waiting for. One of the wolves stepped forward. He was a big black wolf. One familiar to Adley. She smiled seeing the big eyes of the wolf.

Edward stepped forward. "Sam wants to know, what exactly an original vampire is and what makes it any different."

"Original Vampires, are one of the most ancient of us. Most have been destroyed, however more do remain here in the Americas. Something we have confirmed. The vast landscape and cave systems allows them to hide easier. The legends your indigenous tribes have are that of the Wendigo, they may know them as skin walkers. Nasty creatures that are not homo sapiens. They tend to be other hominids. This one we will not know it's make until we kill it."

"Do we know how Victoria came to be in possession of one?" Edward asked.

"Unfortunately we do not. The vile creatures are hard to control. They are stronger than most modern vampires and thirst without thought. These beings are not easy to deal with and will kill without thought. The best way to eradicate them is too have multiple fires going. Do not come empty handed it will be distracted by blood. So might the newborns. Their numbers are double ours." Marcus explained.

"I can supply some blood bags if need be." Carlisle suggested.

"It may be enough for the beast." Marcus nodded. "Usually live bait has been used. Blood bags were not a thing when I last killed one."

A few of the Cullens shifted uncomfortably. Adley placed her cup down.

"Worse comes to worse I can always create a distraction."

"A heroic idea, however not required. It is best to not spill blood." Carlisle shook his head.

She looked over at Jasper who stood stiffened at her words. He was uncomfortable. Shame filtered through.

"Are you alright?" Adley asked looking at him. He was only a few meters from her.

"Yes ma'am."

She let it go when Marcus shot her a look to continue. He motioned to Jasper to step forward. No time to question the reaction.

"Jasper, since you are one of the ones with experience with newborns, will you demonstrate with me?"

"Yessir." The blond walked forward.

"Newborns are much stronger, due to their own human blood lingering in their system. In this life, the first year, they are at their strongest. The few exceptions would be Felix, and Emmett Cullen. Other than that, they are much stronger than us.." Marcus began addressing the audience, mostly the new coming wolves.

"Unlike human armies, newborn armies do not require thousands to be a force to reckon with. Their numbers as Master Marcus has pointed out are nearly double that of ours. A dangerous feat, if they do all make it to the battlefield we will be in for a fight." Jasper added.

There were a few murmurs and growls amongst the wolves and the vampires. Adley held her empty cup close.

"In my time, I was not just a Major in the human army but I spent sometime training and controlling newborn recruits. My advice, do not let the newborn get their arms around you, they will not hesitate to crush you. Second don't go for the obvious kill, they'll be expecting that, and you will lose."

"In this you will see Jasper, and I are roughly of the same height. We are both trained for battle." Marcus observed.

Adley watched the two begin. They backed enough up to allow two meters between them. They were tense, fingers moving in and out ready to attack.

"Ten Master Marcus has him stomped within thirty seconds."

Ibrahim popped into existence beside Adley. She jumped about tossing her mug at him. He handed her a few baggies of trail mix and another of grapes. Adley took it and handed two to Bella. The girl took it not moving her gaze from the event in front of them.

"I trust my mate in this one." Adley stuck her tongue out.

"Okay." Ibrahim went over to nudge Demetri.

She saw a blur of bills between hands. She turned back to the fight at hand.

Jasper took the first few blows. His direct attack was deflected with ease.

She didn't see the finest of the moves. Their figures were flipping over each other. She couldn't even tell if anyone landed a hit.

Never mind. Adley flinched.

Marcus landed the first blow. Jasper went flying out of the drawn line in the dirt. Marcus didn't let him get far.

He slammed Jasper into the ground. Jasper worked his lower half not afraid to kick the ancient vampire. Marcus lost balance enough for Jasper to pin him to the ground. The blond landed a blow but not to the vampire. Dirt went flying, Marcus over powered him and got him on his back in a headlock.

"I yield."

The few battles blurred by. Carlisle and Edward.

The lesson Adley learnt was even with the advantage do not underestimate your opponent don't lose focus. This could lead to a disastrous outcome. It led to Felix being toppled by Demetri. Jane and Alec went head to head. They were rather well matched for each other. Jane though was pinned by her twin when she got too cocky.

Edward had gotten his father into a choke hold. He stood before getting an official yield. Carlisle was faster from underneath. He kicked out Edward's foot and flipped the kid onto his stomach arm and head pressed.

A few laughs at that one as he cried out a yield.

Ibrahim used his gift to his advantage to pop in and out. Jane didn't let him get too far before she launched herself at him and slammed his head into a tree. Her gift was used for two seconds. It was enough for her to get the upper hand.

Marcus sent two more vampires at her. Demetri and Abdul. They worked in unison to distract her.

Adley sat on edge. The teen was small but was reminded of her confidence. She circled both as they went at once from both sides.

Jane dove low and out of arms reach. She swerved to the right circling under Demetri. Abdul lunged only catching Demetri. She got a hand on both of their heads slamming them into the dirt.

"Yes!"

Adley fist bumped the air. Bella looked over to her with a confused look.

"Long story." She waved the girl off. "That's it girlie!"

Jane's laugh echoed. Bell like and caused a few stares in the childish sound. The teen flashed to her side and sat down beside her. Adley saw she was in one of the outfits they had gone shopping for. She wrapped an arm around the girl.

"You're doing better. I'm proud of you."

"You were in danger. I am getting better. Rosalie taught me that one. A fake out she called it?" Jane glanced across to the blonde Cullen.

Rosalie nodded.

"Good. You need to be able to fight." Adley patted her shoulder.

"Adley," Marcus called.

"Yes?"

"Come here."

Adley raised her brow but did as asked. A few of the side fights stopped as she stepped foot onto the battle ground of sorts. Many red gazes and yellow zeroed in on her. The wolves perked up from their relaxed position on the forest floor.

"This demonstration. Is for all as well as her. Adley to most, comes across as a human. Her heart beats and blood pumps through her veins." Marcus advised circling her.

She watched him. Her feelers out. Her gut warning her. He wasn't going to play fair. She could see it and sense it in his aura. He was planning something.

"Not only is she immortal, Adley happens to be a black belt and powerful Empath." Marcus added.

"What are you planning to demonstrate, Marcus?" Carlisle stepped forward.

He was worried for her. Adley waved the golden haired vampire doctor off. His compassion while appreciated she knew was unneeded.

"To show me in case I do end up dealing with any more vampires. Especially this originals. I've had a few too many run ins with vampires lately." Adley guessed meeting Marcus' gaze.

"To an extent." Marcus affirmed.

She stood still as he flashed behind her.

"Adley does not possess the speed of a vampire." He motioned lifting her onto his shoulder she yelped grabbing at his head to keep balance. "Nor the strength."

"I think they get it." She huffed.

Marcus wasn't holding her too firmly. She pushed off of his shoulder and slid down his back. Her hands she used to push a few feet to land away. She stepped away as Marcus circled her.

Her gaze trained on him.

A pop came from behind. Adley whipped around seeing Ibrahim coming closer to her in a blur.

She met his crimson gaze. The vampire slowed.

Pupils dilated. Adley took shallow breaths. Her walls frazzled and disappeared from her mind. She touched his forehead in her quick flinch.

Ibrahim collapsed to the ground.

The tension grew as the vampire did not move. Adley blushed scampering over to Marcus. He wrapped his arms around her.

Ibrahim gasped bouncing back up. He looked around confused.

"How in the hell?" He scratched his head.

"Like I said, Adley is a strong Empath."

She could hear the pride in his words. Adley shrugged.

She'd knocked out a vampire. Shit. Her heart still was turning her chest into a bongo. She leant back into Marcus. The adrenaline of the fright was dying down.

She was ten years old in the studio again. Adley's hair braided in two braids as she sat in her uniform. It was just her, aunt Janet, and her uncle. Both were frowning at the child.

"I didn't mean to!" She cried. "It was an accident."

"We know, Addie." Aunt Janet assured her coming to hug the child.

"I wasn't expecting Park to come up behind me. I was meditating!" Tears spilt down her cheeks. "Will he be okay Auntie? Uncle I'm sorry!"

"Sweet lotus, relax." Uncle sighed running his hand over his short hair.

"We understand you did not mean to do this. Park should know better than to sneak up on any team mate. I just did not know."

"Neither did I." Auntie sighed standing up to her height. "I will look into the journals from My mother. See if she experienced anything like this."

"I'm not going to jail am I?" Adley sniffed. "Park will be okay right?"

The studio phone rang. Uncle went to go answer it. Aunt Janet came and stood beside Adley.

"He is still sleeping according to Aunt Yeona."

"It's been five hours!" Adley wailed. "What if he never wakes up! I hurt my cousin!"

"Aunt Yeona, knows of your situation Adley. Calm yourself."

Adley wiped her tears on her sleeve the white cotton was rough on her rough cheeks that were swelling and blotchy. Her lashes wet with more tears.

"Will I be a danger to everyone? I'm not going to be sent away am I? Auntie, please don't send me away." Adley begged.

"No, you are not going anywhere. If this has taught us anything you need more training. I think a trip for us would be a good idea. I think I know just the person to help." Aunt Janet stated taking her hand.

"They will help me stop?"

"There is no stopping your gift. This is something our family has had for generations Adley. Empaths, while they range in our family have always existed. You are just chosen by the gods to be a powerful one."

"I don't want to be one!" She cried. "Not if I hurt people."

"Empathy, is a double edged sword. We can do great things, save people. We know emotions and are in tune with them. However we are also able to influence others. This can be dangerous. While sharing happiness and our good calming waves, it cannot be false. We can create false emotions. If we do we risk those people becoming addicted or hurt. What you did was influence Park."

"What?" Adley gasped.

"Your touch will always carry more potency than simply radiating the emotion. You were scared and you sent that fear and it's repercussions into Park. His body shut down to protect itself. Too much can knock someone out..."

"What about worse? Auntie I can kill someone!"

"I don't know. I have not witnessed or read of Empaths killing. Your grandmother was powerful yes, but not to this extent. I would need to read into Eun Kyung's journals. That is your grandmother three times ago. We will get to the bottom of this Adley. We will make sure you are steady in your abilities to control and block others emotions."

"I don't want to be able to. I don't want this gift." She grumbled crossing her arms. Little waves of anger rolled off of her.

"We do not get a choice in our existence. We bare our fruit and proceed. We will get through this, Adley. The world has big plans for you."

"Okay Auntie." Adley sighed not believing it. Her eyes stung and she was tired.

"Ibrahim, are you good?" Adley asked.

"Yeah... wasn't expecting to almost leave my body like that. It's the first time in centuries since I fell unconscious like that." He brushed himself off.

"Want to try again?"

"No thank you Lady Adley, I yield." His hands up palms to her.

"Thank you Adley for your demonstration. Who would like to guess what happened?" Marcus allowed her to go sit back down.

A few answers came up. Jane leant over.

"How?"

"I used my empathy to slow him down, the fear I felt from him popping up. Then I simply touched him while in the panicked state. I've been known to do it... it's been quite sometime but it can happen. Helpful I guess to slow newborns. Usually I just send out the emotions. I don't make contact when doing it. Last I did was to knock Bella out. That was really just me being tired and overwhelmed. Almost put my cousin in a coma..." she trailed off.

"Cool." Jane nodded.

Adley didn't respond but continued to watch the ensuing training fights. She remembered Park. She'd been at his side for the stay in the hospital. He awoke within three days. Those records hopefully were wiped.

Adley wiped the sweat from her brow as she entered the house. Marcus sauntered in with only a few strands of hair out of place. She huffed pulling her shirt off tossing it in the hamper as she padded over to her bedroom.

She was left in her sports bra. Marcus brought her over a glass of water. She downed it.

"It's unfair."

He raised his brow.

"You sparred for hours, and no sweat because vampires cannot sweat. I spar with you for an hour and I'm sweaty and stiff." She huffed, crossing her arms.

He placed the cup on her nightstand. He came up behind her wrapping his arms around her waist. He leant over pulling her against him.

"You are in a mortal body, Little One. You did well, better than I expected." He assured her.

"As best I could. It should be illegal for you to wear a muscle shirt." She blushed.

"Why is that?" He breathed. She heard him inhale.

She shifted in his grasp as he held her. Her core grew damp.

"You were distracting me all day. You're sexy as hell in it." She mumbled cheeks burning.

He turned her, lifting her in his arms. He pressed his lips to hers. Their kisses grew in urgency. He ran his tongue over her bottom lip seeking entrance. She granted easily.

Her arms wrapped around his neck. He swallowed her growing moans. Hips bucking.

"Marcus, god I need you." She whispered.

"You have me." He replied.

He brought her into the Bathroom. She barely noticed her clothes being shredded. He was keeping her busy with his lips on hers. His tongue teasing her.

His cool fingers found her heated folds, he teased her opening, running his thumb over her clit. He sunk to fingers inside her.

Adley's head went fuzzy as he pulled them gently in and out. She pulled back, sharply taking a shaky breath. He met her gaze.

"That's it, Little One." He crooned pushing her higher and higher towards her peak. "Such a good girl. You're beautiful like this, pleading for release."

"Fuck!" She cried falling forward in his hold her head on his shoulder. Her legs beginning to feel like jelly.

"Marcus please!"

"Hmm, can my beautiful girl hold off until she comes around my cock?" He teased.

She whined as his fingers exited her. She bucked forward seeking any friction.

"Marcus I swear to god—"

"Come now Little one, let me know what you want."

"You're dick in me right now."

He growled quickly sheathing himself inside her.

Adley gasped eyes fluttering shut. She shuddered with his torturous pace.

"Ah!" She leant her head on his shoulder as he continued to pick up in speed.

"That's it Little One, take your pleasure. So close to the edge. I can feel it." He whispered roughly in her ear.

Adley cried out, the guttural sound she didn't cover in his shoulder as his cock stroked the one angle within her. She held on with everything she had in her. The coil in her core curled tighter and tighter.

"Marcus!"

She stiffened, head thrown back. She spasmed on his cock. Her channel clenching. She collapsed on him. Marcus pressed kisses to her face. Slowly guiding her through her orgasm.

"That's my girl. So Beautiful."

Her cheeks burned running down to her chest. Her dark gaze heavy as she met his eyes. She cupped his cheek. Her heart hammered into her chest.

"Cum for me?"

He caught her lips. His increased thrusts were deep. The pace became fast. His fingers found her clit began to tease her.

"Only if you join me once more." He pulled back with a lazy grin not losing pace.

Adley huffed but didn't argue. "Bite me."

His brow quirked at the challenge. "Is that an offer?"

She was already swimming in his lust and desire. She nodded moving her head to the right.

His pace increased. Fingers on her clit. He pressed gently, changing between circling her and rubbing her.

She was pushed higher and higher. Faster than before. To find the frustrating climb.

She panted.

So close.

Teeth sunk into her neck.

"Ah!"

Pleasure rolled over her from all over. His aura, her core clenching hard as he spilt his seed in her.

The painful sting was a little much but it heightened her climax.

"I love you." Adley murmured.

Marcus held her tighter slipping out of her. He kissed her slowly.

"I love you too."

The First week of June passed in a blur of routine. Training and her teaching. She was setting everything up for her replacement and adding to the organized mess from the previous teacher. It was Friday June ninth, before she knew it. She was looking at her last few weeks. A few of her students were still working hard to take their final exams in the next week. She was finishing up the final chapters and allowing for revision.

"Alright class, it looks like we are finishing up for the week. Are there any final questions?" Adley addressed her class.

Two hands went up.

"Jessica?"

"The final is in the morning next Thursday right?"

"Yes your final will be June 15th at 9:00am. I suggest you show up early. I'll write the exam times on my board. Last day of classes is Tuesday. You're graduation is in the afternoon of that day.." She made sure everyone met her gaze. "Mike?"

"Yeah, I heard from coach this is your last semester?" Mike asked.

"Yes, it is with sad news this is my first and only semester here in Forks high." Adley listened to her class groan. "It's also your last semester as well."

"Where are you off to?"

"I'll actually be off for personal reasons. It was an opportunity I did not wish to deny. Somethings in life aren't always academic pursuits." She replied nonchalant.

"Is it a man?" Jessica asked.

Adley cleared her throat as the class hooted.

"I don't discuss my personal relations with my students."

"In two weeks we will be graduates. Will you tell us then?" Jessica asked.

Adley smirked. "I do not encourage leaving your careers for a relationship, however don't forget to take risks and enjoy being young. You only do it once. Though be smart about it, don't desolate yourself so young. It is fine balance, living your life."

The final bell rang.

"Alright, those of you who wish to stay please do. The rest of you enjoy your weekend."

She sat down upon the chair rolling to her computer. She logged in to get a few things sorted to finish up for her day.

She looked up to her room seeing who remained. Only three of her usual ones who kept around. She didn't expect anyone to really stay on a Friday with the promise of a party tonight and tomorrow night. She'd heard the chatting of her students in the hall in her between times. She knew Jessica was the one hosting and then the Cullens surprisingly were holding one.

"Alright you three, what has you lurking around?" Adley wandered over towards the three.

Auras were on high alert. Bella was white knuckled holding her books. Alice. She was holding a pencil staring off. Her hand though was not still as she was. It was flying inhumanly fast drawing.

Adley watched the figures showing up. There was a clearing. The details coming in. She saw the wet destroyed cloths. She recognized on another page she flipped they were aligned into a formation. Adley recognized herself peaking from behind Marcus.

There were fights being drawn. Fires started and burned. Alice kept going. Moments and they had a full scene.

One tossed to the ground. Adley saw herself. She picked it up. There tears streaming down her face. Her neck snapped at at an unnatural angle. She took it and slid it back onto the table.

How scary it was seeing herself dead and bleeding. Her heart rate picked up the longer she stared. She knew deep down she wouldn't remain like that... but the doubt in her mind. It was ever present since the first time. The first time she was impaled in New York.

She shivered tuning back in as a cold hand touched hers. She was shaking.

"You'll be okay..."

Alice met her gaze. Her golden eyes back to normal as she focused in on Adley.

"I'm always okay." Adley assured, not feeling the confidence her words portrayed.

"It's okay to still fear death. Even if you come back." Edward replied. "You don't like the memories that come up. It's a trauma response."

"I'm aware it is." Adley snipped. "Sorry, Edward. It was uncalled for. Thank you, but I don't need to be assured."

"The newborns?" Bella gestured to the practical fight.

"Will be here next week." Alice replied. "They've decided. They are coming to us."

Alice sketched out one last thing. She brought out some pencil crayons from her bag.

On a chain with the newborns. A beast of melted looking skin was snarling drooling from the mouth. It was a wild thing.

"They've chained it up." She murmured tracing the crude looking thing.

It was human, once? Maybe? The thing was pale but she could tell that rock skin was most likely a medium brown person once upon a time. It had taken on a pallor of the dead. Eyes that kissed in the corners. She cringed away from the drawing.

"How is it even being held by metal? Marcus said it was too strong to hold."

She added a blue glow to the chain.

"Magic. They have somehow gotten hold of an enchanted chain. This could go deeper than just a vendetta against us." Edward murmured, he was focused in on Alice.

"Magic? Like warlocks or witches? Seriously?" Bella gapped like a fish staring wide eyed.

"Marcus said they weren't the only thing in this world. Magic is real. I didn't ever ask about their covens and groups. I'll ask him if any are morally grey or downright a problem." Adley frowned. "This world is just as new to me."

"I didn't exactly make it a point in mine to know of the others." Edward admitted, his aura tinging with embarrassment.

"I only had some crossings with a few witches working on their own down in Mississippi. New Orleans has a massive government with accords... I don't know much else." Alice sighed. "Our worlds don't cross often. We tend to segregate from the others."

Adley raised a brow. "Why?"

"Other beings tend to have their own traditions and protocols of secrecy. Some have secret realms... the ruling covens have more contact with them. That or the libraries, the people who run those. They were agreed upon to be neutral grounds when interacting. The librarians are separate beings who tend to them. They chose no sides or interfere. We do not wish to cross lines with each other so we keep distance." Edward explained. "At least that's what Carlisle told me."

"Would've been nice to have been told of other creatures." Bella grumbled.

"Shit, I never told you did I?"

Bella whipped around to her. "What did you not tell me?"

"Of other creatures. Marcus told me a few months ago. Oops. A story for another time. I didn't ask much more details beyond that. I'll call Marcus and ask him tonight to tell me about the witches and warlocks. See how newborns would get a hold of a magical chain strong enough to hold that. In the meantime. It's the weekend there are parties for your graduation Tuesday. So get out of my classroom."

She shooed them out and turned back to finalize a few things.

It didn't take her more than half an hour to get out to her Jeep. Marcus was waiting for her in the vehicle. She hopped into her passenger side and turned to him.

"How was your day?" She asked.

"It was a bit busy. We ended up destroying one of the bunds today. Which allowed us to lower their numbers. It was only ten but it was still some." He replied. "What of yourself?"

"Alice had a vision in my class. The original one, she saw it chained up. There was some magic involved? You wouldn't happen to know anything about how they got the chain?"

Marcus rubbed his chin. "I have never encountered an enchanted chain to hold such a creature. It is possible. The warlocks have been known to control our kind if there is a feud. There are accords between us and their councils. Many covens do not practice in dealings with us. They would not make such a thing, knowing the intent of the chain. I am sure it was a simple transaction than anything. I will contact the blackburn coven and the local west coast council and see what we can do. If they have any knowledge of rogues working with vampires currently. They have already been on edge with these newborns they lost two a week ago."

"The newborns killed some witches or warlocks?"

"Yes. It was not targeted, the council understands this was an issue we are working to contain. If we do not in the next while we will see them culling all vampires within their territory. Which is in their right." He sighed.

"They would not question affiliation?"

"No. They do not ask questions. These have been going on too long. If we do not end it, we are looking at my brothers needing to come here as well. The Bruin family is ruthless in protection and they are the high council warlock currently. The magical world politics are quite indepth. I will explain it at a better time for you. Right now, know I will be asking Cassandra Bruin, who is currently in the library." Marcus assured her.

"Alright, hopefully this isn't anything nefarious." Adley murmured.
