Chapter 2: Energy Beast, Awaken!
The young teenagers stare at Dr. Ashford in shock. The professor had told them they were picked to be Power Rangers, to defend Sunset Beach from the robots. But the teens didn't know how to take it. They were just ordinary teens, yet everything had changed in one day. They all woke up this morning with no idea they would be asked to do this immensely important task.
"You want us to be Power Rangers?" Selena questioned.
Dr. Ashford nodded. "That's right, I believe all five of you are destined to protect the city. I believe you all are chosen to use the morphers."
"I don't get it. This is all superhero stuff straight out of the movies. I mean how in the world did you even get these morphers?" Dante asked.
Dr. Ashford picked up one of the morphers. "I discovered them in the woods north of the city. As an archaeologist, I have a passion for discovering lost and forgotten cities. I had a theory that there was an ancient city that existed long before Sunset Beach. I believe that the people who lived in that ancient city used these morphers to protect their home. I call them Energy Beasts, because each individual morpher has a certain animal engraved on the morpher, and there's no denying how powerful these are. It was also a name I found engraved on the box when I found them," Dr. Ashford explained.
"You claimed they're ancient, but yet they look like they were made very recently," Natalie commented.
"There's a lot I don't understand about the Energy Beasts. Why they look so new, I don't know. The only thing that makes sense right now is that maybe the morphers evolve over time as did civilization did. As Sunset Beach evolved in technology, so did the Energy Beasts. After all, it seems the morphers are tied to protecting the city from any evil. But right now, that topic isn't important, there's much more we have to discuss," Dr. Ashford explained.
"I got one question," Logan said. "If you found the Energy Beasts, why don't you use it to fight these things. Why did you go through the trouble of bringing us here?"
Dr. Ashford signed. "Believe me, I tried. This was my fault along after all."
Jalen raised his eyebrows. "What do you mean by your fault?"
"I'm fairly certain I'm the reason the robots are here. I discovered the Energy Beasts two weeks ago, the same day Downtown was attacked. Not only was that a huge coincidence, but when I opened the box, I felt a strange energy field surround me and the area. While I don't know where the robots came from, I'm sure what happened that day was because of my actions," Dr. Ashford explained.
"So that's why the town lost power for a second," Natalie commented.
"What you did was pretty foolish, professor," Dante said.
"I know. I let my passion and dream get the best of me. Finding these truly amazing powers came at a terrible price. I know you think I'm a fool for doing this. But this is my mistake and I will do everything to make up for what I done," Dr. Ashford said.
Dante nodded. "It takes a lot of courage and heart to own up to your mistakes, Dr. Ashford. I can't say for the others, but you have my respect for wanting to redeem yourself."
The teens nodded behind Dante. Despite what Dr. Ashford said, the teens can see it in his eyes that he truly didn't mean for all of this to happen. They all had a feeling that the professor's intentions were true on wanting to protect the city.
"Back to my previous question, why can't you use the Energy Beasts and what do you mean that you tried?" Logan asked.
Dr. Ashford put the morpher on his wrist like an regular watch.
"Ever since I found them, I studied them for hours. I wanted to figure out how they worked, but unfortunately despite my efforts, it wouldn't morph for me. I tried all five on them and it seems that the Energy Beasts won't give me their powers. I came to the conclusion that you don't choose the Energy Beasts, they choose you," the professor explained.
To prove his point, Dr. Ashford let the teens have a closer look at the Energy Beast. The teens noticed that the morpher had a silver button on opposite sides of the morpher. Dr. Ashford put his thumb and index finger on the buttons and pressed them both at the same time. But nothing happened.
"I have determined that this would be the way to access your ranger form, but as you see, nothing happened. My theory was proven further when my assistant couldn't activate any of them as well," Dr. Ashford said as he put the morpher back into the box with the others.
"Speaking of your assistant, who is this person you keep mentioning?" Selena asked.
"That would be me," a voice said.
The teens turned around to see a young eighteen year old girl approached them. The girl was 5'7 and Caucasian. The girl has dirty blond hair tied up in a ponytail with blue eyes. The girl wore glasses along with jeans, a white t-shirt and gray sweater. Dr. Ashford smiled to greet the girl.
"Lydia, how nice of you to finally join us. Everyone this is Lydia Shaw, she's a senior at your school as well as my assistant. She originally joined me as I did my archaeology research, but eventually I told her about my theory and she was more than happy to assist me in that field as well as this mission."
"It's nice to meet all of you," Lydia said. "As Dr. Ashford said, I'm his assistant. I help him with everything he needed. As far as this whole mission, I helped him created this base as well as designing everything you need from here on out."
"Wait a second," Jalen said. "I remembered Doc saying that you helped him recruit all of us since you go to Sunset Beach High too."
Lydia nodded. "That's right. When we both weren't chosen by the Energy Beasts, we knew we needed to find someone who were. I offered to scout out anyone at the school and the professor agreed. I scouted you all based on your personality and standing at the school. Even though we just met, I agree with Dr. Ashford, I have a feeling you all have what it takes."
"Thank you for believing in us. This is still so confusing, but I think it means a lot that you have your faith in us," Natalie said with a smile
"It's our pleasure, we want the best to wield the power of the Energy Beasts and I'm more than confident that all of you are worthy," Lydia said.
"Now that you know everything, I have one last question," Dr. Ashford started. "I told you everything we known about the robots. We don't know who they are or where they come from, but we know they're not welcome here in Sunset Beach. Me and Lydia are committed to stopping the robots. But what about the five of you?"
The teens looked at each other. They all knew they would have to make a big decision. A decision that affected not only themselves, but everyone they cared about in the city as well.
Dr. Ashford continued. "I'm going to be honest with all of you, this will be a very dangerous mission. While I'm very confident the Energy Beasts are powerful weapons, there's no telling how powerful the robots are. I just have a feeling there's more to them than we know. You all have a choice to make right now. You can chose to stay and fight with us as the Power Rangers, or you can peacefully and respectfully leave. If you decide to leave, you'll never hear from us again, but there will be no hard feelings. You'll be free to go back to your normal lives. But if you stay and fight, I promise me and Lydia will be by your side as we fight this threat together. I promise we will beat the robots. I want you all to make the decision you know is right no matter what it is. This is completely your decision. Dante, Jalen, Logan, Natalie, and Selena, I need a final answer."
The teenagers all took a deep breath. Despite all the decisions they have made in their lives, they all knew deep down this would be the most important one. It's risky, no one can deny that, but this is the opportunity to save the city and potentially the world.
After a few seconds, Dante stepped forward. "I'm in. If my family and home is being threatened, I will do whatever it takes to protect them and defeat the robots."
"I'm joining too," Natalie said. "I refuse to stand by and let innocent people get hurt. I will fight with all my heart."
"Count me in Doc. If you believe in us, then so do I," Jalen said.
Logan nodded. "I will never forgive myself if I had the chance to protect the city and I turned it down. I'm here until the end, let's do this."
"I'm always up for a challenge, let's make the robots regret ever attacking our home," Selena said.
Dr. Ashford smiled. "I'm proud of all of you. Now that we're all in agreement, it's settled. All of you will fight the robots as Sunset Beach's protectors, the Power Rangers. This will be our secret base of operations or the Hub as I like to call it. Here, we will monitor everything that happens in the city. When the robots attack, we'll be ready. Now, I believe you earned your morphers."
Dr. Ashford walks back over to the box holding the Energy Beasts. The teen's hearts were beating fast as Dr. Ashford picks up the yellow morpher.
"Natalie, in our reports, you have shown to be a kind and caring girl, but you always had the backs of those you care about most. You were never afraid to stand up for who you care about. You will wield the power of the yellow Energy Beast and become the Yellow Bear Ranger," explained Dr. Ashford.
Dr. Ashford gives Natalie the yellow Energy Beast. Natalie looks at her new morpher in awe. She's finally given the chance to stand up for the people in the city. The morpher looked like an yellow Apple Watch as it had a yellow square shape with a glass screen center. The morpher had a silver strap underneath it with the markings and engraving of a bear. Dr. Ashford went back to the box and picked up the black morpher.
"Logan, in our reports, you have shown to be a very laid back person. But when the time is right, you are quick into action to get whatever you need done in the best way possible. Including protecting others. You will wield the power of the black Energy Beast and become the Black Rhino Ranger," the professor said.
Dr. Ashford gives Logan the black Energy Beast. Logan stares at it and he couldn't believe what was happening. But he knew the threat was real and he was more than ready for the task. The morpher looked exactly like the others except it was black in the main area. The strap also had rhino markings and engravings all over it. Dr. Ashford then picks up the pink morpher.
"Selena, in our reports, you always shown the most kindness and are the most pure hearted of the five here. Yet, you show outstanding courage of your surroundings and are always looking forward. You will wield the power of the pink Energy Beast and become the Pink Deer Ranger," said the professor.
Dr. Ashford gives Selena the pink Energy Beast. This felt so unreal to her but she knows it is and she won't waste the opportunity she is given. The morpher was pink with the silver strap having deer markings and engravings. Dr. Ashford then picks up the blue morpher.
"Jalen, in our reports, you have shown that you always trust your instincts. You have always gone with your gut throughout your life and it has shown you made the right decisions. Your instinct is sharp and perceptive as well as an asset. You will wield the power of the blue Energy Beast and become the Blue Shark Ranger," said Dr. Ashford.
Dr. Ashford gives Jalen the blue Energy Beast. Jalen looks at his morpher and he knows deep inside that he's ready for what comes ahead. The morpher was blue with shark markings and engravings on the silver strap. Dr. Ashford then picks up the red morpher, the last one.
"Dante, in our reports, you have shown yourself as a leader who will always step up to the task as well as showing kindness and bravery. Your leadership skills will be a phenomenal asset to this team. You will wield the power of the red Energy Beast and become the Red Lion Ranger as well as the leader of this team," Dr. Ashford explained.
Dr. Ashford gives Dante the red Energy Beast. Dante looks at his morpher and he knows he has a hard task ahead of him. He's been a leader and team captain his whole life but this will be the most important team he will lead. But he is willing to do whatever it takes to lead them to victory. The morpher was red with lion markings and engravings on the strap.
"Rangers, put on your morphers," Dr. Ashford proudly proclaim.
The teens put on their morpher like a watch. As soon the morpher was strapped on their right wrist, all five of the teens felt a mysterious and strange feeling from within. It was powerful but comforting at the same time.
Dr. Ashford smiled. "Welcome to the team everyone, together you are the Wild Energy Power Rangers!"
Back in the abandoned warehouse, Xanek and it's generals have been busy. In the two weeks since their attack, Corius have nearly gotten every machine and system operational as well as breaking the lock on the test tubes. On Xanek's command, any member of it's army can be unleashed on the city. Scyther have been busy devising various strategies to please it's master. Talus and Nexus has been bored, patiently waiting for the day they can lead an attack on the city. Xanek enters the Control Center to find Corius on the control console as usual. It's other generals were doing their own things around the room.
"Corius, status report," Xanek ordered.
Corius stood up to greet Xanek. "My lord, over the last two weeks, I have gotten every machinery in this fine base to work to our standards. Scyther has just given a plan for our next attack as well."
"Excellent! Now, there's one thing I'm concerned about. Our former creator was somehow able to shut us down. I don't want that to happen again," Xanek said.
"Not to worry sir, I have gone over the computer here and I'm more than positive I have shut down and disable any shut down protocol that can lead to our downfall," Corius said.
Xanek nodded. "Good, I don't want any interruptions or surprises during our invasion. Scyther, what is this strategy you been devising?"
"I'm glad you ask Lord Xanek. By now, the humans have a false sense of security. I recommend we sent another wave of Gizbots down into downtown, this should sent them into a panic," Scyther said with a laugh.
Xanek's robotic eyebrows raised at the plan.
"It's a good plan, but you just want to send down an army? No lieutenants or generals?"
"Yes, Scyther, I have managed to unlock access to a couple of our lieutenant's test tubes who are sure to be a help," Corius added.
Nexus and Talus are now interested in the conversation.
"Better yet, my lord, send the two of us with the Gizbots," Nexus pleaded.
"Yes, for once I agree with Nexus. We can obliterate the city in no time!" Talus added.
Xanek actually was considering these options before Scyther cuts in.
"Silence you dolts! I'm the strategist here and what I say goes and we are going with my plan."
"Scyther, are you sure about this?" Xanek asked.
"Yes, my lord. I am more than certain," Scyther confirmed.
"Very well then," Xanek said with a wave of its hand. The three other generals groaned in defeat.
Xanek pointed to a location on the downtown map. "Corius, deploy the Gizbots immediately!"
"Yes Lord Xanek, right away!" Corius said as it sat down and started to punch some buttons on the computer.
Xanek started to laugh, it's evil plan was coming together and no one was going to stop it.
The rangers were looking over their new morphers and taking in every second and moment. A dangerous mission was upon them, but the teens knew how important this mission is and they are ready to fight to their last to defend their home. Dr. Ashford was going over stuff about the morphers and what he figured out. He explained how he and Lydia were able to communicate with the morphers through the Hub's main computer. Dr. Ashford was just about to explain more when an alarm blared through the base and red lights started flashing.
Logan covered his ears. "What the hell was that?!"
"That's our alarm if trouble ever arises. Lydia get a location immediately!" Dr. Ashford ordered.
Lydia immediately ran to the computer and started to get the camera fixed in the location of the disturbance. When the camera locked somewhere Downtown, she gasped. Dr. Ashford walked over to the computer.
"It's just as I feared," said the professor. "The robots are attacking again."
The teens took a look at the computer and the Gizbots were attacking again. They all shook their heads, it was a terrible sight to see.
Natalie's eyes widens. "Guys, that's a couple of blocks away!"
Dante nodded. "We have to do something. Team, let's go."
Dante and the other rangers were about to take off when their mentor stopped them.
"Wait a second! You guys don't even know how to morph yet, it's too dangerous to fight them without it!" Dr. Ashford protested.
"I don't care," Jalen said.
"We can't just stand here," Selena added.
"Doc, you appointed us as the new Power Rangers. Yes, we don't know how to morph yet, but we can't abandon these people. We will learn that in due time. For now, you have to let us do this." Dante said.
The professor sighed. "Please be careful, and remember, you all were chosen for this. Believe in yourselves and your Energy Beasts. Me and Lydia will be in contact."
The teens nodded and immediately ran out of the secret base to confront the Gizbots. Dr. Ashford signed as he pulled up in a chair next to Lydia.
"You know professor, I'm more than confident we made the right choice," Lydia commented.
Dr. Ashford smiled. "I agree, if everything goes to plan, they will all make fine rangers."
The teens made it to the Downtown square the Gizbots were attacking. They were near most of the Downtown restaurants and businesses. Thankfully, every civilian in the area has cleared for their safety. It was just the teens and the Gizbots.
"I'm surprised they aren't any cops around," Jalen said.
"Maybe they were worried about losing their lives when they couldn't stop them last time," Selena said.
"It's better if they don't get involved," Dante said. "After all, this is our fight now. You guys ready?"
The rangers nodded.
"Let's go kick some robot ass!" Logan said with a grin.
Natalie smacked the back of his head jokingly. "In your dreams, Armstrong."
Logan scoffed as the teens walked towards the Gizbots.
"Hey!" Dante shouted.
The Gizbots stop their destruction and looked at the teens. They were easily confused on why these teens are standing there and defying them.
"You're not welcome here in Sunset Beach! I think it's time you robots leave," Dante continued.
The Gizbots looked at each other in even more confusion. Eventually one robot raised it's sword at the teens and robotic static came from it's body. It must been a war cry in their own language because the Gizbots suddenly started running towards the Rangers. They were around 15 of them
"Great speech, leader," Logan said.
"Could have gone better but it doesn't matter. Here they come guys, get ready!" Dante shouted as he raised his fists.
"Right!" The other four shouted.
The teens split up and ran towards the Gizbots. Jalen was the first to reach a group of the robot pawns. They immediately tried to slash Jalen with their small swords but the basketball player was using every instinct and reflex he had in his body to dodge the attacks.
"Damn, these things don't play fair," Jalen said as he gritted his teeth. His eyes widen as a Gizbot swung it's sword at his head.
Jalen immediately ducked and rolled away. He raised his head at the approaching group.
"I hope the others are having better luck," he whispered.
A few yards away, Dante was trying to fight his group but the Gizbots were very unrelenting.
'There's got to be an opening somewhere,' Dante said in his mind.
Soon enough when one of the Gizbots advanced with its sword, Dante suddenly kicked the robots arm causing it to lose balance. Dante suddenly punched the robot's head. It would be a bad idea since the robot's head was metal.
Dante clutched his hand. It wasn't hurt badly, but it definitely stung a little.
"Ok, maybe that wasn't a good idea," Dante said.
Meanwhile, Natalie was trying to keep her own with the robots. But they were surrounding her and she was having a hard time keeping them at bay.
"Come on, give it your best shot," Natalie taunted.
The robots all swung their swords down and all of a sudden, Natalie jumped out of the way and the Gizbots hit nothing. Natalie tried to kick one down, but the Gizbot caught her leg and pushed her down. Natalie immediately backed up before getting up herself.
"Those things pack a punch," she commented.
On the other side of the block, a group of Gizbots were firing their guns at Selena. The girl was using her speed to try to dodge every bullet, but they just keep on coming. Selena suddenly does a backflip to dodge a round of bullets.
"Didn't know I had that in me,"Selena said before she ducked another round of bullets.
Selena kept dodging until she tried to sweep kick a couple of the robots. It worked, but the robots just keep coming back up. Selena gasps before she does another backflip away from the advancing group of robots.
Logan was nearby and his luck hasn't been good either. His group were holding him down while another robot tried to hit him, but Logan won't stop resisting.
"You bunch of cowards, fight me like a man!" Logan shouted.
He eventually broke his right arm free and sucker punch the robot in front of him as the Gizbot falls to the ground. Despite his hand throbbing, Logan leans forward to throw the other two robots off him. But they quickly got back up and rushed towards Logan.
Logan shakes his head. "Those freaks are getting on my nerves.
Eventually, the Gizbots were able to overwhelm the rangers. All five teens got back together in the center as the Gizbots surround them. The teens were frustrated, despite some surprise moves, they couldn't defeat the robots.
"There's too many," Selena said.
"You're telling me," Jalen said.
The robots keep advancing.
"We can't just stand there, we got to do something," Logan said through clenched teeth.
"I agree, we got to morph. It's the only way," Dante said.
"But we still don't know how to," Natalie protested.
Suddenly a voice goes off through the morphers.
"Rangers, you can do it. We're watching you through the cameras and you all shown incredible bravery. If anyone can unlock the power of the Energy Beasts, it's you five," Dr. Ashford said through the morphers.
Dante smiled. "Thanks for the advice, Doc."
"You can thank me later, when you all returned. Good luck," Dr. Ashford said before the morpher went silent.
The teens faced the robots, they know they need to do something. Before they can do anything to try to activate the Energy Beasts, all five rangers gasped before they closed their eyes. Dante and the others couldn't believe it, but they were all hearing a voice inside their head. The teens didn't know if they were hearing things, or if the Energy Beasts were communicating. After a couple of seconds the teens opened their eyes.
"Did you guys hear that?" Dante questioned.
"Yeah, it was like our Energy Beasts were speaking to us," Natalie said.
Jalen smiled. "I guess they told you how to morph, right?"
The others nodded. They knew what to do to unlock their powers.
"Alright guys, let's try again. Everyone ready?" Dante asked.
"Ready!" The rangers yelled. It was time to finally morph.
"Energy Beast, Awaken!" The rangers yelled as they held their right arm up. Then the rangers held their left arm to put their thumb and index finger on the silver buttons on the morpher. The rangers pressed the buttons together to begin morphing into Power Rangers.

Dante stood in a field of red energy still standing the way he did when he pressed the buttons together on the Energy Beast. As soon as the buttons were pressed, a lion appeared on the center of the morpher and roared. Dante then raised his right arm up as red energy exploded out of the morpher and began to surround Dante. As the energy reached the bottom, it suddenly began circling Dante faster and faster and the energy field moved up. As the energy field moved up, a red suit began to appear on Dante. The energy field kept moving up until Dante was wearing a red suit minus the helmet. The red energy then engulfed Dante for a few seconds until the energy faded and Dante was now wearing a red helmet. Dante then did a battle pose. Dante's suit was red with black fang markings through the whole side of the body as well as the sleeves and leggings. Dante's gloves were red and there was a black cuff on his wrist. Dante was wearing red boots with a black cuff on the top. Dante had a black fang on his chest as well. Dante was wearing a white belt with a black fang belt buckle. Along with the white neck covering, Dante was wearing a red helmet with a lion motif on it with a black visor.
Jalen stood in a field of blue energy still standing the way he did when he pressed the buttons together on the Energy Beast. As soon as the buttons were pressed, a shark appeared on the center of the morpher and roared. Jalen raised his right arm up as blue energy exploded out of the morpher and began to surround Jalen. As the energy reached the bottom, it suddenly began circling Jalen faster and faster and the energy field moved up. As the energy field moved up, a blue suit began to appear on Jalen. The energy field kept moving up until Jalen was wearing a blue suit minus the helmet. The blue energy then engulfed Jalen for a few seconds until the energy faded and Jalen was now wearing a blue helmet. Jalen then did a battle pose. Jalen's suit was blue with black fang markings through the whole side of the body as well as the sleeves and leggings. Jalen's gloves were blue and there was a black cuff on his wrist. Jalen was wearing blue boots with a black cuff on the top. Jalen had a black fang on his chest as well. Jalen was wearing a white belt with a black fang belt buckle. Along with the white neck covering, Jalen was wearing a blue helmet with a shark motif on it with a black visor.

Logan was wearing black boots with a silver cuff on the top. Logan had a silver fang on his chest as well. Logan was wearing a white belt with a silver fang belt buckle. Along with the white neck covering, Logan was wearing a black helmet with a rhino motif on it with a black visor.
Natalie stood in a field of yellow energy still standing the way she did when she pressed the buttons together on the Energy Beast. As soon as the buttons were pressed, a bear appeared on the center of the morpher and roared. Natalie then raised her right arm up as yellow energy exploded out of the morpher and began to surround Natalie. As the energy reached the bottom, it suddenly began circling Natalie faster and faster and the energy field moved up. As the energy field moved up, a yellow suit began to appear on Natalie. The energy field kept moving up until Natalie was wearing a yellow suit minus the helmet. The yellow energy then engulfed Natalie for a few seconds until the energy faded and Natalie was now wearing a yellow helmet. Natalie then did a battle pose. Natalie's suit was yellow with black fang markings through the whole side of the body as well as the sleeves and leggings. Natalie was also wearing a yellow skirt. Natalie's gloves were yellow and there was a black cuff on her wrist. Natalie was wearing yellow boots with a black cuff on the top. Natalie had a black fang on her chest as well. Natalie was wearing a white belt with a black fang belt buckle. Along with the white neck covering, Natalie was wearing a yellow helmet with a bear motif on it with a black visor.
Selena stood in a field of pink energy still standing the way she did when she pressed the buttons together on the Energy Beast. As soon as the buttons were pressed, a deer appeared on the center of the morpher and roared. Selena then raised her right arm up as pink energy exploded out of the morpher and began to surround Selena. As the energy reached the bottom, it suddenly began circling Selena faster and faster and the energy field moved up. As the energy field moved up, a pink suit began to appear on Selena. The energy field kept moving up until Selena was wearing a pink suit minus the helmet. The pink energy then engulfed Selena for a few seconds until the energy faded and Selena was now wearing a pink helmet. Selena then did a battle pose. Selena's suit was pink with black fang markings through the whole side of the body as well as the sleeves and leggings. Selena was also wearing a pink skirt. Selena's gloves were pink and there was a black cuff on her wrist. Selena was wearing pink boots with a black cuff on the top. Selena had a black fang on her chest as well. Selena was wearing a white belt with a black fang belt buckle. Along with the white neck covering, Selena was wearing a pink helmet with a deer motif on it with a black visor.

The newly formed Power Rangers stood together in their forms. Power radiating from their bodies alone. The Gizbots actually were shaking as they were frightened. The rangers then did another battle pose.
"Power Rangers Wild Energy! Awaken the beast!" The rangers shouted.
Back in the Hub, Dr. Ashford and Lydia were ecstatic as they watch the rangers morphed. Both the professor and his assistant were watching the screen in shock as the rangers did their battle pose.
"They did it!" Dr. Ashford shouted.
"I never doubted them for a second," Lydia said.
Dr. Ashford smiled. "Now, we can fight back, we can beat the robots. I know we can."
Back at Xanek's lair, the robots were also watching the scene unfold. The four generals watched in shock. None of them expected any rangers or threat to the plan. Their leader was furious.
"I don't believe this, Power Rangers?! Those teenage brats are calling themselves Power Rangers and they believe they can take me down? They're just teenagers!" Xanek shouted.
Corius was stunned. "I don't understand, this is impossible! Who are these Power Rangers?"
"It doesn't matter they just threw a wrench in my whole plan!" Scyther said.
Scyther was shocked, it was not expecting this sudden change in the plan. Scyther's plans were perfect in the robot's mind and it couldn't take failure well.
Nexus unsheathed it's swords. "My lord, I'm heading down to take care of them."
Talus extended its arm to stop Nexus "Hold it right there, I want to see these kids fight."
"These brats aren't worth your energy, Nexus," Xanek said. "Power Rangers or not, there are no match for my army."
Nexus nodded. "Yes sir."
Xanek watch the screen again. The robotic leader did not like these new rangers.
Back Downtown, the rangers couldn't believe their new form.
Selena looked down at her new form. "Oh my god, I can't believe it!"
Jalen smiled under his helmet. "It's hard to believe it, but it's true. We're officially Power Rangers."
"Those robots don't know who they're messing with," Natalie said.
The rangers looked at the Gizbots in front of them. They were still standing in shock.
"I'll say this again, you robots aren't welcome here. Not while we're here. So we can do this the easy way, or the hard way," Dante said.
Logan started to cracked his knuckles. "Last chance for you guys to run. If you stay, you bots are so screwed right now!"
The Gizbots finally mustered up the courage to charge the rangers again.
Dante smirked. "Alright, the hard way it is. Let's get them guys!"
The rangers run towards the robots, they also noticed they were faster in their morphed form. The Energy Beasts truly gave them amazing powers.
Dante suddenly jumps and does a superman punch on a Gizbot and knocks it right down to the ground. Dante then sweep kicks a second before tackling a third to the ground and delivering a hard punch to it's robotic face.
'I feel so much stronger, this is incredible,' the boy said in his mind.
Selena is fighting her group of Gizbots. One robot tries to punch her, but the nimble ranger does a backflip as the robot punches its own teammate. Selena then launches a roundhouse kick on the other two robots knocking them down.
"Is that the best you can do?" Selena said with a laugh.
Jalen and Logan are taking on a huge group of Gizbots. Jalen immediately blocks a robots punch before he delivers his own punch to knock the robot down. He then kicks another robots sword down before delivering another punch. Logan headbutts a robot hard to keep it down before delivering a roundhouse kick on another. Jalen and Logan both then grabbed a robot by their legs and started to swing them around before the robots literally crashed into each other mid air.
"That's what I'm talking about!" Jalen shouted.
"Good teamwork bro," Logan commented as the two fist bumped.
Natalie does a front flip off a car before she punches the robot in the face. She keeps delivering punch after punch until the robot ultimately collapses. The remaining two robots try to rush her together on both sides. But Natalie smirks as she suddenly grabs the two Gizbots and smashed their heads together and the bots collapsed.
"Too easy," said the Yellow Ranger.
The Gizbots all laid on the ground broken and defeated before a mysterious blue light engulfed their bodies and they were gone. The rangers cheered, they defeated the Gizbots without ease thanks to their new powers. Dr. Ashford's voice then came back on the morpher.
"That was amazing! I knew you guys could do it. Head back to the Hub right away so we can discuss more," said Dr. Ashford.
Dante raised his arm to talk to the morpher. "Right away, professor."
The rangers then tensed again as they felt their Energy Beasts saying something again in their heads. When the Energy Beasts were done, the rangers relaxed.
"Wait a second, we can teleport with these morphers?" Logan said in disbelief.
At the Hub both Dr. Ashford and Lydia were patiently waiting for the teens to return. The duo were startled when all of a sudden, a red, blue, black, yellow, and pink ray of light appeared in the center of the Hub before the lighted faded and the rangers were standing in the Hub. Both Dr. Ashford and Lydia gasped as the Rangers took off their helmets.
"What in the world?!" The professor shouted in shock.
"How did you do that?" Lydia stammered.
Selena smiled as she held up her right arm holding her morpher. "Well it turns out we can teleport with our morphers. All we had to do was press the buttons like we're morphing but we just think of a destination."
"That's fascinating and a huge time savior," Lydia said.
"Anyway, back to important matters. The five of you did amazing. You unlocked your powers and are now officially Power Rangers. You gave Sunset Beach hope that the robots will be stopped. And they will be stopped if you keep working together as team," Dr. Ashford said.
"So what now? Jalen asked.
"The robots will be back and will possibly be stronger, so you have to prepare yourselves. The Hub will also be where you will train and improve your skills as well. From the way you were all fighting, it looked like the Energy Beasts gave you skills you never knew how to do," Dr. Ashford said.
"Now that you mentioned it, I felt fast and stronger. I did moves I normally have never done before, it was insane," Dante said.
"Yeah, I never felt that way before," Natalie added.
The professor nodded. "There's no doubt you all are strong, but there's always room to improve. Take tomorrow off, and relax. But after that, you will all report here. You are all free to use the Hub as a place to train or if you need any advice. Think of this place as your second home. After all, we have a lot of work to do. We won't have mandatory training every day, I will be sure to give you all days to rest and recover as well. But this place will be open to you everyday in case you all seek extra training or guidance from myself or Lydia."
"Wait, we're all athletes, what do we do about our sports," Dante asked.
"It's extremely important you keep doing them. Being a Power Ranger means you can never reveal your identity in order to keep you and your families safe. That means you must act like everything's normal. You all play sports, so report to your teams like everything normal and when practice is over, then you all can report here," Dr. Ashford said.
The rangers nodded. They all knew they had a long fight ahead of them, but they were ready. With the Energy Beasts on their side, they know they can defeat the robots.
Dr. Ashford smiled. "I know I said this already, but I'm proud of you all. We got a long road ahead of us and it won't be easy. But with the five of you together as Power Rangers, I know we will be victorious in the end. You're all free to leave. Take the time to relax and be back here on Wednesday after everything with sports is wrapped up. Have a good night, everyone."
The rangers nodded again. They unmorphed pressing the buttons in the morphers along with saying "power down" as well. The teens said goodbye to Dr. Ashford and Lydia before they all left the Hub.
In Xanek's lair, there was nothing but chaos. To say that Xanek was mad is an understatement, the tyrant was furious. Five teenagers defeated 15 Gizbots, the robots didn't know what to do. The generals were in the control center trying to calm down Xanek.
"I want those Power Rangers destroyed! How dare they defeat my army?" Xanek shouted as it slammed its fist on its throne in the Control Center.
"My lord, you must calm down," Nexus pleaded.
"I'll calm down when I have all of their heads on a silver platter," Xanek grumbled. "Corius, go release one of my lieutenants immediately!"
"Yes Lord Xanek, but I must explain to you the process of how it's done," Corius said, trying to not anger it's master.
"Fine, but make it quick!" Xanek said.
"Yes sir, it's very simple," Corius said as it went to the computer. Corius pulls a video feed of the storage area where one of the test tubes are.
"My lord, here we have one of our lieutenants in stasis. Right now, there's no power or anything special about it just yet," Corius explained.
Corius then pulls up drone surveillance of Sunset Beach. The drone zooms in a fire hydrant.
"I recently hooked up our drones with a laser beam that will give our lieutenants powers based on the object they are combined with. Once we laser this fire hydrant, it will combine with our lieutenant and give it the powers a fire hydrant can do." Corius explained.
Corius pressed a button and a yellow laser zapped the fire hydrant. The hydrant was still standing but it's data was downloaded. A minute later, an signal went off to notify the robots that a test tube was open. A lieutenant has awakened. A minute later, the lieutenant entered the Control Center. The robot was grey and red and resembled a fire hydrant. The robot went over to Xanek and kneeled.
"Lord Xanek, I am the Fire Hydrantbot, I am pleased to be in your service," said the lieutenant before it stood back up.
"As one of my many lieutenants I have a task for you, Fire Hydrantbot. Can you do it?" Xanek asked.
"Yes, my lord, it will be my pleasure,"said the Fire Hydrantbot.
"Good," said Xanek. The robot then turned to Scyther. "What plan do you recommend for our lieutenant, my strategist?"
"Fire Hydrantbot, you will be deployed in the suburbs tomorrow. There will be plenty of people for you to terrorize, but your main priority is destroying the Power Rangers," Scyther said.
The Fire Hydrantbot nodded. "I understand, and I will not fail my mission."
"Excellent! By tomorrow, those meddlesome teenagers will learn to never cross Lord Xanek again!" Xanek said as it laughed.
Dante finally arrived home in the suburbs in the neighborhood of Palm Beach Heights. Dante pulls into the driveway of his two story house and shut his car off. Dante enters through the door to find his parents and twin sister Sydney in the family room. The Red Ranger was stunned when he sees himself and the others in ranger form fighting the Gizbots on the tv, they were on the news. The headline said "Power Rangers in Sunset Beach? Can they save the city from the robots? Dante's father then noticed him.
"Dante, where have you been, son," said Mr. Marshall.
"Oh, me and a couple of guys from the team went out tonight. Nothing crazy. It's getting late, so I'm heading to bed early tonight," Dante said.
His father nodded. "Wise choice, you have a game coming up this Friday. Have a good night, Dante."
Dante nodded before he hugged both his parents and sister. He immediately went upstairs right to his bedroom. Dante takes off his jacket and lays down in bed. He and the other rangers exchanged numbers before they left the Hub so the five can keep in touch in a group chat. Dante opens his phone and opens the chat.
"We're on the news tonight. We all need to talk tomorrow. We'll meet during lunch," Dante whispered as he sent the text.
Dante the shut his phone off and threw on a tank top and pajama pants. Dante climbs back into bed and he closes his eyes and drifts off to sleep. It was a long day for all of the rangers.
The next day
Logan walks into the cafeteria around noon. He and the others agreed to meet Dante after they got his text last night. A meeting make sense, they all have to be on the same page if they were going to keep their identities as Power Rangers a secret. Logan spots Jalen, Natalie, Selena, and Dante at a nearby table and immediately heads over.
"What's up guys?" Logan said as he sat down. It was a circular table that can fit more people but for now it was just the five of them.
"Thanks for coming guys," Dante said. "So who saw the news last night?"
"I did," The other four chorused.
"Well, it looks like the Power Rangers are blowing up," Jalen said.
"Yeah, a video from last night already got a million views online," Selena said.
Selena pulled out her phone and showed everyone the video. It was a video of the Gizbots being defeated by the rangers.
"We have to be careful, we could have been seen," Dante said.
"No shit, Sherlock," Logan responded.
"Dante's right," Natalie said. "From here on out, we make sure no one is around when we morphed. Can we all agree on that?"
"There's another thing we need to discuss. Getting our stories straight is extremely important to keeping our identities safe. We all need an alibi," Dante explained.
"For example, before yesterday, none of us have ever hanged out. But today, we're sitting at the same table. I don't know, but that seems weird to me," Jalen said.
"So we come up with an reason why we're all friends now, it's easy," Logan said.
"Ok wise guy, what's you answer on why we're hanging out?" Natalie asked.
Logan's eyes widen. "How the hell do I know? You just put me on the spot, Natalie!"
The teens all laughed at that remark.
"Ok seriously, I got one. Let's just all say we're working together on a group project. We all share at least one class with each other. So that's our alibi, we're athletes, so naturally we're comfortable working together," Selena said.
"I like that, it shows that we have something in common and it's not totally out of the blue we're all gathered here," Natalie said nodding her head in approval.
"Works with me," Jalen said.
"Yeah that's a good one," Logan said.
Dante nodded. "Then it's settled. Now that we have our alibi, next order of... huh?"
All of a sudden, Kylie wrapped her arms around Dante to surprise him. The girl actually broke Dante's train of thought which was probably for the best before she heard anything about their mission.
"Hey Dante, I miss you today," Kylie said as she sat down next to Dante.
"Thanks for the scare, babe. Totally out of nowhere," Dante said. "Guys, this is Kylie Kennedy, my girlfriend. Kylie, this is my new study group."
Kylie and the rangers introduced themselves.
"So Dante, is this study group supposed to help raise your grade in math?" Kylie teased.
Dante blushed. "Well, maybe, but it isn't that bad."
Natalie's boyfriend Mark then sat down next to her accompanied by Lucas and Malik.
"Hey Nat," Mark said as he kissed her. He then sees Dante. "I didn't know you knew Natalie, bro."
Dante reached across the table to fist bumped his teammate. "We just met, we're in a study group together."
Mark nodded. "Gotcha."
Natalie's friend Taylor then sat down along with a few cheerleaders to complete the table.
"Well this got full fast," Logan muttered.
"Hey Logan," one of the cheerleaders flirted.
"Hey Katie, what's up?" Logan said, suddenly in a better mood.
"We're talking with Lucas to try to see where we're hosting the after game party," Katie said.
"First we have to beat Reefside first, we can't plan that far ahead," Mark said.
Lucas wrapped his arm around his teammate. "Mark, we're going to win. We have the best damn good quarterback in the state. We're sending those guys back to California with a lost."
"That's the spirit, Lucas," Dante said with a laugh.
The rest of lunch went smoothly. The rangers got along great with everyone and it was a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, their meeting was interrupted. The five rangers walked out of lunch together into the crowded hallway.
"Ok guys as much fun as that was, we need somewhere private to continue our meeting or at least somewhere where we can't be interrupted," Selena said.
"Yeah, I think we can agree lunch is the worst time to do it," Dante said.
The others nodded.
"Wait, I know a place. You guys probably know it because it's a popular hang out spot for everyone in school, but it will still give us a place to talk," Natalie said.
"So what's the plan?" Jalen asked.
"After we're done with practice, meet me in the parking lot," Natalie said.
The teens nodded before they all separated to go to their next class.
A few hours later
Ten minutes away from Sunset Beach High is Tate's Bar and Grill located in the heart of the Suburbs. Tate's is a popular hangout spot for the teens of Sunset Beach due to the food and access to all the sports games. Not only that, but it's location in a shopping plaza had made it very accessible to anyone in the area. The rangers walked inside the restaurant. Tate's was like any regular sports bar. There was tv's all around the place showing the latest sports games. The bar was full with patrons watching the games. But the place was filled with various students from Sunset Beach High as well as their rivals Central High and Oceanview High. The rangers walk to the reception counter.
"Hi, can we get a table for five?" Natalie asked.
"Of course, follow me please," replied the hostess.
The teens were led to a booth and they sat down. The hostess gave the teens their menus and walked away.
"Tate's, that's your idea, Nat? I mean, I love this place, but it's nowhere secret," Logan said.
"That's the point, this place is crowded. No one is going to pay attention to us or hear what we say. Trust me, this place is perfect," Natalie said.
"I agree with her, this place will do," Dante said as his stomach growled. "Plus, I'm hungry."
The teens laughed as their waiter came over and the rangers order water.
"Now, back to business," Dante said. "We need to work together. Yesterday went great, but we all know that it's going to get tougher."
"We have powers, but we need to be smart with them," Jalen said.
"Like how dude? Honestly Jalen, I say we just kick their ass every time they show up," Logan said.
"Being cocky will be our downfall, Logan. Trust me on that," Jalen said.
"He's right, we need strategies. We need to be unpredictable," Selena said.
"Exactly," Dante nodded.
"Don't we have a simulation room back at the Hub?" Logan asked.
"Yeah, why?" Natalie asked.
"Well maybe we can test out different strategies or even have Lydia come up with some," Logan said.
"Perfect, we need to take advantage of that, who knows when the robots will attack next," Dante said.
"Ok going past the serious stuff, we're a team now. We should get to know each other more," Selena said.
"We got some time until we eat. I'm down with that. We're going to be working together for a while and we should take this opportunity to know each better," Jalen said.
The rangers placed their food orders and they spent the next hour talking to each other. The rangers discovered that they actually have a lot in common. Between their sports, they all love the same hangout places, music, movies. It was crazy.
"I never knew we all had this much in common," Dante commented.
"But maybe it's why we worked so well together yesterday," Selena said.
"Yeah we definitely showed them yesterday. They should just give up at this point," Logan said.
Dante laughed as he eats a piece of nachos. "You wish, but we know that won't happen."
"But seriously, this is actually really nice. We should do this more often. We are a team after all," Natalie said.
Jalen chuckled. "I couldn't agree more."
The rangers stay for a little bit longer before they eventually payed the bill and left Tate's, but in the parking lot, a explosion happened a couple of blocks away.
"What was that!?" Logan demanded.
"Trouble," Dante said.
"Rangers!" Lydia's voice shouted through the morphers. "It's the robots, they're attacking the plaza on Mission Road."
Dante raised his arm to talk to Lydia. "We're a couple of blocks away, we're on it Lydia."
The rangers immediately went behind Tate's and thankfully, there was no one around.
"Ready?" Dante asked
"Ready!" The others shouted.
"Energy Beast, Awaken!" The rangers shouted.
The rangers raised their arms and pressed the buttons on the morphers to activate their ranger form. Red, blue, black, yellow, and pink energy exploded out of the morphers and surrounded the teens. The energy faded a few seconds later and the rangers were ready to fight.
"Come on, let's go!" Dante shouted as he led the charge.
In the Mission Road Plaza, the Fire Hydrantbot was leading its own army of Gizbots as they lay waste to various cars and businesses in the shopping plaza. People were running away desperate to get away.
"Ahh, I love the sound of people screaming," the Fire Hydrantbot said as it uses its hand to fire a geyser of water at a car and the car exploded.
The rangers finally arrived at the scene, and they were surprised to see the new lieutenant.
"What the hell is that?" Logan asked.
"It's a new robot," Selena said.
The Fire Hydrantbot turned around to faced the rangers
"Power Rangers, how nice of you to join me," the Fire Hydrantbot snarled. "You teenage brats will regret interfering with my master's plan!"
The rangers tensed. How did the robot know they were teenagers?
"How do you know who we are?" Dante demanded.
The lieutenant laughed. "You foolish kids, Lord Xanek has many drones and eyes on this stupid city. My master saw your identity yesterday when you defeated his Gizbots."
"Xanek?" Jalen asked.
"Yes, Lord Xanek, my master and soon to be ruler of this planet. As soon as I finish you brats off, nothing can stop us!" The Fire Hydrantbot boasted.
"Think again you big red creep, because we won't let you destroy our home!" Natalie said.
"If you won't get out of my way, then I will destroy you!" The robot yelled.
The Fire Hydrantbot fires a geyser of water from both it's hands as it struck the rangers and nearby cars. The cars exploded knocking the rangers down to the ground. The rangers got back up, not ready to give in yet.
"Ha, is that the best you can do? I expected more from the big and strong Power Rangers," the Fire Hydrantbot taunted.
"That thing is going to be a problem," Jalen said as he clutched his ribs.
"We can't take it on head on, our physical power won't be enough," Dante said.
Just like that, the rangers start to hear their Energy Beasts in their minds again. This time with new instructions. When the voices faded, the teens smiled because they knew what to do.
"Let's see what we can do now," Dante said.
Dante held out his right arm as a red sword materialize in his hand. "Wicked!" The Red Ranger shouted.
"My turn," Jalen said as he held out his arm. A blue trident materialized in Jalen's hand.
Logan was next as a black giant war hammer materialized in his hand. "I can't wait to swing this like a baseball bat."
Natalie extended her arm and a yellow spear materializes in her hand. "This should be fun."
Finally, Selena extended her arm and a bow materializes in her hand. "I always wanted to use one of these."
Dante then pointed his sword at the lieutenant. "It's going to take a lot more than that to take us down!"
The Fire Hydrantbot actually looked stunned. "Where did you get those weapons?! It doesn't matter, you will all still fail! Gizbots, attack!"
The Gizbots charged at the rangers.
"You know, we never use these weapons before," Selena said.
Dante shrugged his shoulders. "Just trust you instincts, it always worked for us so far. Come on guys, fight hard and stay together!"
Dante led the rangers with their weapons. Dante uses his sword to cut down all the Gizbots in front of him. The boy was shocked, there was so much power in this one sword. Dante blocks an robot's attack before he uses his left arm to punch the robot and delivered a strike from his sword.
Jalen thrusted his trident into a Gizbot before taking it out and stabbing another Gizbot. Jalen eventually threw his trident to nail a Gizbot right in the chest. Jalen delivered a roundhouse kick before picking up his trident.
"I can get used to this," he chuckled.
Logan was swinging his war hammer around like a circle. He was annihilating Gizbots left and right. Logan eventually jumped on top of a car and then jumped off. Logan slammed his hammer in the ground sending a shock wave that knocked down every Gizbot in the area.
Natalie threw her spear at a Gizbot and it hit it's target dead center. Natalie raised her arm and the spear flew back to her. Natalie then twirls her spear around and hits the Gizbots left and right with the shaft before stabbing the final one with the spearhead.
Selena was firing shot after shot at the Gizbots. Selena then does a front flip and kicks a robot down. Selena loads another arrow and fires it at point blank range at another robot. Selena then jumps and fires a final shot to finish off the last one.
The rangers eventually made short work of all the Gizbots in the area. The Fire Hydrantbot was not happy.
"Worthless pawns! If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself," the lieutenant snarled.
The Fire Hydrantbot unleashes another geyser of water, but the rangers were ready as they jumped out of the way. Dante charges forward with his sword and strikes the robot, but it not going down that easy.
"Nice try, kid!"
The robot smacks Dante away but he regains his footing.
"Careful leader, we can't take it alone," Logan said as he caught up to Dante.
"I know but we need a plan," Dante gritted his teeth.
"I got a idea, I'm flanking him," Selena said.
Selena fires a bunch of arrows at the robot, angering it. The Fire Hydrantbot fires another geyser but Selena dodges and fires more arrows.
Dante and Logan then charged toward and attacked at the same time. Dante delivers a kick to the robot's jaw while Logan uses his war hammer to slam the robot in the stomach.
"You little brats... ahhh!"
The Fire Hydrantbot was then stabbed by both Jalen's and Natalie's weapons. Dante takes the opportunity to perform a final attack.
"Energy Sword, Final Strike!" Dante shouted.
Dante's sword grows in size and power as Dante charges at the lieutenant again. Dante swings his massive sword and cuts right through the Fire Hydrantbot. The robot started to short circuit.
"Nooo, how can I lose?!" The robot said before it collapsed and exploded.
Dante ran up to his teammates.
"We did it!" Natalie shouted.
"That was great teamwork guys," Selena said.
"It was all your idea, Selena. You were the one who flanked it," Dante said.
"No, we all did it," Selena reassured.
"Those Power Rangers are getting on my nerves!" Xanek shouted.
Corius was on its computer. "Not to worry, Lord Xanek. I have a back up plan."
"What is it then?" The leader demanded.
"I programmed all our lieutenants with reboot chips in their system. When they are destroyed, the chip will revive them to a massive size. This will surely defeat the rangers," Corius said,
Corius pressed a few buttons on the computer. "Rebooting now!" The general said.
While the rangers were celebrating, the Fire Hydrantbot suddenly reappear and grew 50 feet tall. The rangers suddenly noticed their foe.
"Oh you got to be kidding me!" Logan shouted.
"How are we supposed to fight that?" Jalen said.
Dante closed his eyes as he hears his Energy Beast for the last time, this was the last bit of info the rangers needed to learn. Dante then opened his eyes.
"Guys, we have the tools to fight it. Follow my lead," Dante said.
The Rangers lifted their right arms and pressed the buttons like to morph but they say something different.
"Energy Beast, Rise!" The rangers shouted.
The energy exploded from the morphers and grew to giant sized zords. There was the Red Lion Zord, Blue Shark Zord, Black Rhino Zord, Yellow Bear Zord, and Pink Deer Zord. The rangers do a massive jump to get on their Energy Beast and enter the cockpits.
"This is awesome!" Selena said as she sat down in the cockpit.
The five zords run together towards the Fire Hydrantbot.
"Ok guys, let's combine," Dante said.
"Energy Beast, Combine!"
The zords started to transform. The Rhino and Bear zords became the legs as the Lion Zord folded up into the body. The Deer and Shark zords then folded to become the arms. A head shaped like a warrior then popped out of the Lion Zord. The five rangers gathered in the head to form a massive cockpit. The five rangers sat in the giant cockpit and got ready to fight.
"Power Rangers, Wild Energy Megazord!" The rangers shouted.
"I'm reborn and stronger than ever. You won't beat me this time!" The Fire Hydrantbot shouted.
The robot fired a geyser that knocked the megazord down, but it got back up.
"We got to avoid taking hits like that," Jalen said.
"I got a plan guys," Dante said.
"Energy Saber, activate!" The rangers yelled as a white sword materializes in the megazord's hand.
The robot fired another geyser but the rangers blocked the water with it's sword before it delivers a giant slice right through the Fire Hydrantbot.
"Not again!" The robot shouted as it exploded, gone for good.
"Threat neutralized," the rangers said as the megazord stood proud in the city of Sunset Beach.
Back in the Hub, Dr. Ashford was waiting for the rangers.
"I can't believe you all activate your zords already. They will be a massive asset," said the professor.
Natalie shrugs. "I guess we're full of surprises."
"No, it just proves more than ever that you five are chosen by the Energy Beasts. It's clear to me that they trust you with their powers," Dr. Ashford explained.
"They trusted us and you have my word as leader, we will do right by you and the Energy Beasts," Dante said.
Dr. Ashford smiled. "I know you will, today's battle turned out to be very informative as well."
Dante nodded. "I guess you were listening on the battle. But the point is that we now know the robot's leader is someone named Xanek."
Dr. Ashford nodded, his face looked slightly grim at the mention of the name. "Yes, we now know the identity of their leader and I have no doubts that whoever Xanek is, it's a dangerous being. We don't know much, but I have a feeling we will know more with time. Regardless, we accomplished a lot today, but for now go on. You had another crazy day and tomorrow, we start training. Good night."
The rangers left the Hub feeling stronger. They were finally Power Rangers and after their first win, they are bent on making sure Xanek never wins.
Scyther enters the Control Center where Xanek and it's generals were residing. Xanek had not yet gotten over it's lieutenant being destroyed.
"Lord Xanek, I have come with a new plan," Scyther said.
"It better be good this time," Xanek growled.
"It is my lord, here's the plan. We are already powerful and superior robots, but there's always room for more power," Scyther explained.
Xanek was intrigued. "Go on."
"Our goal is to destroy the rangers but what if we hardness their powers?" Scyther asked.
"With those powers, we can be unstoppable, Lord Xanek," Corius suddenly said.
"Sure, more power sounds sweet," Talus said.
"My lord, I must advise we listen to Scyther. There's no telling how powerful those morphers are," Nexus added.
"Silence!" Xanek shouted.
The robot stood up and began pacing.
"Yes, I agree, Scyther. With those morphers, we will be unstoppable! We will destroy the rangers and then we will use their technology to destroy the Human Race! Generals, I want those morphers, they will be the key to our victory!" Xanek boasted.
The robot and it's generals laughed. They have a new threat in the Power Rangers, but now they have a goal to take their morphers. But first, they must defeat the Power Rangers.
Hey guys, I'm back with the next chapter of Wild Energy. This was a huge chapter that really had a lot, but our rangers got their powers. They got a long road ahead of them, and things are going to get crazier. I think I'm sticking with the one chapter a week rule, but chapters could take longer. It depends on how hectic my life gets lol. But seriously, this story has been a blast to write for and I can't wait to write more. My goal for each chapter is to have at least 5,000 to 10,000 words each chapter, which is definitely doable.
