Before I start there are a few things I forget to mention. One, Jazz is only four-years-old when she meets Medusa. Meaning she hasn't seen her new brother. Second, if you're wondering why her parents would let their four-year-old go towards a temple alone, she left without them knowing. And I plan on doing some time skips during this story.

Medusa sat on her throne, ordering the Reapers to leave Jasmine alone. No sooner than she gives it, another member of her captains steps up.

"What, Thanatos?" Medusa asked.

"Are you really sure it's a good idea to keep a human here? I thought you hated humans." He said.

"Thanatos, tell me, have you ever heard a human that hated Palutena because she didn't answer her call?" Medusa asked.

"Well, I have heard a few humans doing that." He said, thinking.

"The girl is young, and her hate is something I wish to use. If I can make that hate grow, then I'll have a secret weapon that not even Palutena can stop. She wouldn't dare harm a single human!" Medusa smirks.

"Maybe so, but how are you keeping her from learning the truth?" Thanatos asked.

Medusa smirks fade as she turns to Thanatos.

"I'll deal with that. Until then, keep your mouth shut!" She orders.

"Alright! Alright! I won't say a thing." He said, flinching from her.

She heard a knock and saw the door open. Jasmine steps in, looking a bit nervous. Thanatos quickly left and Medusa waited for her to step up.

"Is there some wrong, dear?" Medusa asked, kindly.

Jasmine stops new the throne and holds up a book. Medusa notices that the book was about the underworld and looks at Jasmine.

"Can-can you read this to me?" She asked, shyly.

Medusa could hardly believe that. Read a book to her? However, from the way Jasmine looked, Medusa couldn't bring herself to say no.

"Very well." She said, taking the book.

She saw that Jasmine looked ready to step closer, but she stops herself. Medusa sighs and picks her up.

"Tell no one about this, understand?" She said.

Jasmine nods as she was set on Medusa's lap. Medusa open the book and started to read out loud.

Half-hour later,

Medusa couldn't lie, reading out loud like this really help her feel more like herself. She then felt something lead on her and heard a small snore. She looks down to see Jasmine had fallen asleep on her. Medusa looks at her before brushing some of her hair out of her face.

"Heh, passing out during a book. I guess some human can't fight it." She said, carefully picking her up.

"Mommy," Jazz said in her sleep, snuggling closer to her.

Medusa was shocked. She called her mommy! She thought she was her mother!

Medusa looks away. She was no mother, she was the Goddess of Darkness! The Master of Fear! Human coward at her sight. She was not a mother!

But as she looks at Jasmine again, Medusa felt her heartstring get pulled. There was something about this girl she couldn't bring herself to get mad at. With a sigh, she carry Jasmine towards her room, making sure no one saw her.

The next day,

Medusa glares at a few of her soldiers as Jasmine hid behind her. Jasmine was exploring the castle, and she ran into a few monsters. It appears that her order to leave Jasmine alone fell deaf on some ears. One monster made some noise and Medusa understood it.

"This, human, is living here! I order everyone to leave her alone!" Medusa shouted, ready to turn them into stone.

The monster made the same noise again and Medusa glares at it.

"She's under my protection! Harm her again, and I will put you through a pain you'll never recover from!" She shouted, making the monsters flee in fear.

Medusa then turns and saw Jasmine looking down as she rubs her arm.

"I'm sorry." She said, feeling really sad.

"Jasmine, I warned you that not all monsters here will welcome you liked I did. You need to be more careful." Medusa said, worried.

Jasmine looks down before Medusa lifts her head.

"I only asked you this to keep you safe. The Underworld is no place for a human." She said.

"Then why did you bring me here?" Jasmine asked.

"You pass out after the attack, and I didn't want to leave you behind. I know bringing you here is a bad idea, but I had no other choice. I couldn't stay on Earth, not when Palutena could find me." Medusa said, brushing Jasmine's hair behind her ear.

"Do you really miss your old home?" Jasmine asked.

"I do. I really want to go back and see the sunny skies once more. I can only see it a few times without knowing my opposite could find me." Medusa said.

"Is there a way, I can help? Maybe I can ask the Goddess of Light to give you a second chance?" Jasmine asked.

'Is she for real? She'll do that for me?' Medusa thought surprised before shaking her head.

"I already tried that. She won't let me back in." She said.

Jasmine felt sad about it. She started to think about how she could help her. However, Jasmine's stomach growls, and she blushes.

"I'm getting hungry." She said, and Medusa couldn't stop a smile from appearing on her face.

"Very well. I order some human food for you." She said, taking the young girl's hand.

Jasmine smiles as she walked alongside Medusa. However, both Pandora and Thanatos watch from afar, confused.

"Why is Medusa so attached to the young girl?" Thanatos asked.

"Hmm, she only been here a day and Medusa has ordered all of us to leave her alone," Pandora said, confused.

"So we get ruin of her?" Thanatos asked.

"And risky pissing Medusa off?! If she is attached to the girl then we'll be in bigger trouble than you think!" Pandora said.

"Well, we could help Medusa with her plan. Make her feel welcome until Medusa dispose of her." Thanatos said.

Pandora had to think about that. Sure, Thanatos drive her nuts at times, but it seems like a good idea. Plus, it could keep them in Medusa's good graces.

"Very well. But don't think for a minute I'm going to listen to a word that human says!" She said.

Later,

Jasmine sat in a hot spring, relaxing. She had no idea these kinds of springs existed! She heard a knock on the door and saw Thanatos walk in.

"Hey there, kiddo! Sorry for walking in on you like this, but I thought I'll bring you some fresh clear robes." He said as Jasmine sinks a bit into the water.

"Thank you." She said as he set them down.

"It's no problem. I would have Pandora do it, but she more likely burned them away. She was always a hothead. Get it? Because she's a giant floating fireball?" Thanatos laughs.

Jasmine didn't get it and just stay under the spring. Thanatos sighs and turns to leave.

"Alright, alright. I can take a hint." He said, heading towards the door.

Jasmine bites her cheek before making up her mind.

"Medusa told me that you're crazy and whacky. Why?" She asked.

Thanatos stops and turns around.

"Me? Crazy? Whacky, I can understand, but crazy?!" Thanatos said, changing his body to show he was wearing a straight jacket as he made a goofy face.

Jasmine couldn't help but giggle at his face. Thanatos heard her and smirks.

"Well, I can be crazy when I wanted to." He added, turning into a duck and making whacky laughs.

Jasmine tries to cover her mouth as Thanatos smiles. He started to turn into many things acting all goofy and funny to the young girl. Soon, Jasmine started laughing, still keeping herself under the spring.

"Thanatos, what are you doing?"

He stops and turns to see Pandora floating at the door with one of her eyes raise.

"Just making the kid feel welcome!" He said, smiling.

"She's taking a bath! Leave her alone!" Pandora said.

"See? A hothead." Thanatos told Jasmine.

"THANATOS!" Pandora yelled.

"Alright, alright, I'm leaving!" He said before using his to mimic Pandora's mouth as he mouth her words.

Jasmine giggles as Thanatos leaves. Pandora looks at the young girl and sighs. She turns and leaves, the door shutting on its own. Jasmine relaxes as she leads backs in the spring. Maybe the underworld wasn't so bad after all.

An hour later,

Jasmine walks up to the throne room, ready to knock, but heard a few voices through the door.

"Are you sure about this?"

That sounded like Medusa.

"Very, Palutena sent her little pet looking into the destroyed town. So far, they haven't found any trace that it was you."

Jasmine was confused. Why was Palutena looking into town after it was destroyed? And why did Medusa sound unsure?

"It's will only be a matter of time before they learn of my return. My plans are not ready yet. If her pet angel finds me, then everything will be ruined!" Medusa groans.

Jasmine noticed the worried tone she used and wonder if there was a way to help Medusa. She then got an idea and opens the door. Medusa, Thanatos, and Pandora were all shocked to see her walk in.

"Jasmine? What are you doing here?" Medusa asked.

"I overheard you talking. You were a bit loud." Jasmine blushed.

"Eavesdropping on us, huh? Well then," Pandora said but was stopped by Medusa.

"I'm sorry you had heard that. Some of my minions had gone rouge, putting my plan to get back to Angel Land in jeopardy." She said.

Jasmine then thinks. She wanted to make sure her idea would work.

"What if you have someone in charge?" She asked.

Medusa looks over to her two captains and knew they couldn't do it. Pandora wasn't to be trusted leading army, and Thanatos was too stupid to even follow a simple order. She had to do everything she can to keep herself hidden until the time was right.

"A wise idea, but I don't have anyone I trust to keep them in line," Medusa said.

Jasmine then took a breath. She had no idea if this will work.

"Then how about I lead them?" She asked.

The room went quiet for a few seconds before Pandora scoffs.

"You?! A human child?!" She said.

Medusa was quiet, thinking over her words. It sounds impossible, but she did want to use her for plans. Turning Jasmine into a soldier was something she wanted to do.

"Are you sure?" She asked.

"I know I'm too young to lead the army, but I do want to help you get home. You promise me that you'll help me get back to my home. I just thought it would be fair." Jasmine said, feeling very silly with herself right now.

"Medusa, are you really going to let a human command your army?" Pandora asked.

Medusa was quiet. She finally looks up and stares at Jasmine.

"Are you sure about this?" She asked.

Jasmine knew she was over her head with this but still nods. Medusa sighs and nods back.

"Very well. You will begin your training in a few days." She said, shocking her.

"You mean it?" Jasmine asked, shocked.

"Yes, though you are still a child. As well human. Most of my army will take the chance to attack you. I will train you into defending yourself." She said.

Jasmine smiles and bows to her.

"Get some rest, dear. We have a long day ahead of us." Medusa smiles.

Jasmine nods and rushes out of the throne room.

"Medusa! You can't be serious! You're going to let a human control your army?!" Pandora shouted.

Medusa ignored her. Jasmine was clearly a smart girl. And she warmed up so fast to her. Almost as if she wanted to see the good in her.

"MEDUSA!" Pandora shouted.

She was blasted away for that. Medusa glares at Pandora, who looks shocked at her glowing eyes.

"My mind is made up. Once Jasmine's training is complete, she will lead my army into attacking Angel Land. If you try anything to harm her, you will answer to me!" She said.

Pandora growls but made no move. She only bows before Medusa stood up.

"I'm going to make sure she's in bed. Don't follow me." She said.

Medusa left the room before Thanatos release his breath he didn't know her was holding.

"She really cares about her, does she?" He asked.

Pandora growls and floats out of the throne room, leaving Thanatos confused.

"What I say?" He asked.

"Now that sound like the Medusa I know!"

Hades, seriously?

"What? I'm the real ruler of the underworld. It's only fair I see how things are holding up."

Look, I know you're a well-liked villain from the game, but please, stay out of my story!

"Okay, okay. I guess I'll go check out the reviews again. SargentEpsilon was a fun guy to talk to. And what was up with that AnimeGoji91 person? His review made no sense."

Sometimes I can't make them out myself. If he's trying to reference something, then I don't see it.

"Well, at least we're in agreement."

Hades, can I write my endnotes now?

'Fine, fine. Keeping boring everybody."

And that ends another chapter. Jasmine is slowly started to fit in, but the monsters of the Underworld are still attacking her. Medusa is slowly started to change, but still not changing that quickly. She agrees to let Jasmine lead her army due to her plans of turning her into a soldier. But she going to go out of her way to train her. And it seems Thanatos is getting along with Jazz as Pandora doesn't even trust her. My first time skip is coming up soon, but I need to write one more thing before I do. And sorry if it felt rushed. Sometimes I end up using ideas much earlier than I mean to.

"No kidding."
