Jasmine walks through the hallways, making sure to keep an eye out for any Reapers. She really didn't want to deal with them again. A few days ago, a Reaper attacked her, forgetting Medusa's orders. However, Jazz had a feeling it was told something else. Still, her seventh birthday was coming soon, and she was kind of excited. She really wasn't excepting the underworld to throw her a party. As she walks down the hall she came across her mother's room. Jasmine looks at the door and sighs.

She opens it and steps into Medusa's room. She walks around the room, seeing many things that match Medusa's way of living. Dark things, snakes, and many more she couldn't picture. She then came across a bookshelf, holding some books. She looks through the selection and notices a book different from the rest.

"The powers of Darkness, by Medusa." Huh, I didn't know mom writes." Jasmine said, pulling the book out.

She opens the book and started to read.

"Today is the day I can finally become a goddess! Zeus said I can be any type of Goddess I wanted! I chose to be the Goddess of Darkness. When asked why, I stated that there must be some darkness in the world. I wanted to balance the power of Darkness, ensure that the Darkness doesn't become too powerful or too weak. Zeus heard my plea and granted my wish! I'm now Medusa, Goddess of Darkness!"

"Huh, so Zeus gave mom her powers?" Jasmine said, sitting down on Medusa's bed.

"I learn that will be co-ruling with my old friend, Palutena. She was named the Goddess of Light shortly after I was named the Goddess of Darkness. We were both given a place to live, named Angel Land. Though, we wanted to change the name. We decide on Sky World for the new name. Ruling alongside Paluetna was one of the greatest moments of my life. I can see the two of us watching over both light and darkness as one."

"Well, mom did tell me that she and Palutena rule together," Jasmine said, flipping the page.

"So, it turns out that we had to watch over the humans as well. Palutena has grown fond of them. Watching them grow and florist. I will not deny it, they are an interesting bunch. But where Palutena saw the good, I saw the evil. They lie, cheat, and steal! They asked for gifts from us, and they misused us! I can not let this stand! I must teach these humans what happens if they misuse our powers."

"I mean, I never misuse Palutena's power," Jasmine said, one of the only reasons she doesn't outright hate the Goddess of Light.

"I can believe this! Palutena didn't approve of my actions and threaten to remove me from my power! I try to explain my reasons, but she didn't listen to me! My best friend turned her back on me and cast me from the heavens! Now I'm stuck down here, trapped in the Underworld. You won't get away with this Palutena! I will show you what happens when you turned your back on me!"

"Huh, but why wouldn't Palutena listen to her?" Jasmine asked, confused.

"It's so weird. I remember attacking Sky World and taking over the throne. Until I learn that Palutena had a captain of her army. His name was Pit, and he seems to be an unusual angel. He couldn't fly! I almost laughed myself to death when I heard it. But as he slowly work his way up to me, he started to show he was more than an angel. I couldn't even believe that he got the Three Sacred Treasures! Those fools were supposed to destroy them before someone came for them! I tried to fight him myself, but the Three Sacred Treasures were too powerful. And now here I am, trapped in the Underworld once again."

Jasmine felt bad for her mother. But she never heard of the Three Sacred Treasures before. She then spotted something else, something that happened two years ago.

"So I found a little human girl today. She was part of the attack and I'm surprised she was still alive from the temple that was torn down. I decided to take her in. She was young, about 4 in human years. What was strange was that her parents weren't in the temple as well. Did she come alone? But there was something about her that found, interesting. I knew I would be taking her from her family, but there was something about her I couldn't ignore."

Jasmine remembers that day. It was the day her mother "save" her from the attack on the town. It took a while for her to warm up to her but Medusa has shown she was not like most gods that have dark powers.

"I couldn't believe it. After giving the news of Jasmine's family death, she locked herself in her room. I must admit I'm getting worried. If there was one thing I still remember from the past, young humans won't understand death so well. She has been in her room for a week, not coming out at all. I have tried talking to her, but she never opens the door. I was started to fear the worst before Jasmine finally left her room. I was surprised to find her hugging me, asking me to watch over her now. She even asked if she could call me mom. Mom, for some reason, that felts right."

"Wait a minute? Is this a book or mom's..." Jasmine started.

"My dairy."

Jasmine jumps and saw Medusa behind her. She couldn't tell if she was mad or just wondering why she was here.

"Um," Jasmine said, slowly handing the book back.

Medusa took it and place it back on the shelf. She then turns to Jasmine and sat on her bed. Jasmine saw her pat the spot next to her and got on. She look a little scared, knowing she was just reading something private.

"Jasmine, I'm not mad. There were a lot of things I wrote that affect the person I am today." Medusa said.

"So you and Palutena were best friends?" Jasmine asked.

"Yes. Even since we were little. She was the only person that made me smile. No matter how dark and gloomy things were, she was there to brighten up my day. We were close, almost as sisters." Medusa said, thinking about the first time she met Palutena.

"Hey! Do you want to play?"

"Huh? Play?"

"Yeah! You shouldn't be alone. I'm Palutena! What's yours?"

"M-Medusa."

"Mom?" Jasmine said, snapping her from her thoughts.

"I'm fine." She said.

Jasmine could tell something was wrong and hugs her. Medusa was surprised, but smiled and hugs her back. They broke as Medusa grabbed another book.

"You still up for storytime?" She asked, making Jasmine giggle.

"Always!" She said, sitting on her lap.

Medusa smiles. To think, this little human how given her something she never wanted. And she wouldn't give it up for the world.

On Earth,

Maddie lay down her young son, kissing his forehead. It's been two years since the attack on the nearby town and the news of their only daughter's death. But things were becoming worst. Her only son was sick. Really sick. He was born sick. The doctors tried, but it was no use. Maddie walks out of the room and saw her husband, Jack, sitting on the couch looking at the floor. He then slams his fist on the table, which broke with ease.

"Jack," Maddie said, knowing this was affected him a lot worst.

"First my daughter, now my son! Why?! Do the gods hate us?!" Jack shouted, placing his face into his palms.

Maddie sat down with him and hugs him.

"Of course not. We have already prayed for Jasmine's safe trip to the heavens and for Daniel for good health. Our kids are in good hands." Maddie said.

"I know. It's just...I wish we didn't lose our kids so soon. Jasmine was only four when we lost her. And now we find out about Daniel's illness? No one in our family has this much bad luck!" He said.

"No, but you know I'm not giving up on them. I know Jasmine is safe, and Daniel will stay with us as long as possible. You know the Goddess of Light will watch over them both." Maddie said.

Jack nods, and Maddie turns his head towards her.

"Jack, we can not give up on them." She added.

"Never." Jack smiles.

"Then, let's pray to the Goddess of Light," Maddie said.

Meanwhile,

Young Daniel was actually awake and heard his parents. Though he was sick, he could still hear them. He wanted nothing more than to feel better, but none of the doctors could help him. He looks up at the ceiling as he thought of his older sister.

"I hope you're safe, Jasmine. I miss you." He said, yawning.

He tries to look down his bed, seeing the first starlights appear. He always loves the night sky. The stars looked so pretty. Maybe the Gods could take him there. He finally looks back up and started to notice something. His body was going numb, he couldn't feel anything. His version started to blur. But he wasn't scared. Daniel's eyes started to close as a smile appear on his face.

"I'm coming, big sister." He said before he stopped moving.

It was only in the morning that Maddie and Jack discover that their son had succumbed to his illness and passed away in his sleep.

And cut. Well, it's both a touching and sad chapter this time. Jasmine has learned a bit more of Medusa's past, but Medusa's did keep a few things out of her dairy. Can't have Jasmine learn the truth too soon. And it appears that Daniel, her younger brother was born sick and had passed from it, making Jasmine the only child that is still alive. The reason I did this was because after I was done with another moment with Jasmine and Medusa, I was stuck. I was going to do another time skip, but I wanted to hold it off for another chapter. I'm not done yet. And if Danny had passed away, then hold will he appear in the Main Story? Easy, he coming back as a Spirit. A ghost, if you will.

I finally figure out why I haven't heard from my other guests. Hades was trying to stop the invites from reaching them! He's already taken care of. Now, one of the guests that are going to join me for my endnotes in my Kid Icarus and Danny Phantom crossovers will be none only then the Goddess of Life herself! She was very interested in my story and wanted to meet with me! Don't expect Viridi to show up, though. She still has a problem with us humans. Palutena should be here when I'm working on the next chapter.

And AnimeGoji91, read slower! Jasmine doesn't, I repeated, DOESN'T know her family is still alive. Really, you need to make your reviews better! Half of the time they don't make sense! I might rush at times, but at least people could understand my words. And I may not be the only person that needs a Grammar check!
