Hehe, got this one out nice and quick for you guys! This chapter wasn't to hard to do, but I still had fun making those little changes and of course the fight scene which I hope you guys end up enjoying that and the rest of this chapter!
Lincoln Loud could currently be seen at a desk set up in his room, a bunch of homework laid out in front of him. While Lincoln didn't really enjoy homework, it wasn't particularly hard for him. He may not be a super genius with a Nobel Peace Prize and PHD like Lisa but he was still pretty smart. Not to brag but he would honestly say he's the 2nd smartest person in his family. In terms of school at least.
"Don't get why we gotta do all this though." Lincoln still complained due to the boredom he was feeling from having to do all of the work. Being good at something didn't mean you really enjoyed it. "Its all the same stuff we learned in class anyway. Its just redundant at best."
"Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!" Suddenly Lincoln heard the sound of someone saying beep over and over again and looked to his side to see Star slowly approaching him with a giant grin on her face with her wand help behind her back. "Uh-oh! Looks like my boredom radar is going off! Someone around me is bored!"
"Better believe it." Lincoln told Star with a smirk on his face as he gestured to the homework on his desk. "My math teacher dumped a bunch of homework on me…probably because I froze him last week so not completely unwarranted but still. At least it's almost done."
"Almost done eh~" Star quoted with a sing-song voice. "Then happy we can have a bit of a study break before finishing~" To emphasize what she meant, Star booped Lincoln's cheek with her wand a few times.
"…Do it." Lincoln told Star with a grin on his face. Some Star Butterfly magic should help liven things up for a bit and then he can quickly finish up the rest of his assignments. "Shower my room with magic!"
"Of course good sir." Star said with a more regal sounding voice that caused the two to giggle for a bit at the joke before Star raised her wand up in the air. "Alright Lincoln, get ready! Because I'm about to raise the roof on this place!"
"Do it! Do it! Do it!" Lincoln cheered Star on with pumped up fist and an excited smile on his face.
"Well you asked for it!" Star enthusiastically smiled as Star looked up at her wand that she was holding up as high as her arm could reach. "Bedroom Disco Party Bomb!" Star's wand then glowed brightly as it was about to perform the spell and-
Pfft…
Suddenly Star's wand made a sound similar to a failing energy as the light it was emitting died down as the wand's colors dulled out and the wings on the side wilted down like a dying plant. "Was it…supposed to do that?" Lincoln asked, pretty much already knowing what the answer was.
"No. What the heck is wrong with this thing?" Star questioned as she looked over her wand. "Hm, let me check under the hood." Star then proceeded the flick the top half of her wand causing it to open up and revealing inside of Star's wand was a tiny unicorn on a treadmill. Only the unicorn's colors were dulled out similar to the wand it was inside of and it looked beyond exhausted.
"Wait, that's what powers your wand? Seriously?" Lincoln asked with an extremely puzzled face as he looked at the tiny exhausted unicorn. "Of all things."
"Yep, and it doesn't look so good." Star said as she closed up her wand again and turned her wand around to look at the back of its handle where there seemed to be what looked liked a power meter on it with a heart near the top of it and a skull at the bottom. The power meter had more then half of its bars black with the remaining red bars slowly going down towards the skull. "Huh, looks like its low on power."
"So…what?" Lincoln asked what to do in this situation. "Do we just have to find a new tiny unicorn to replace the one inside the wand?"
"Nah, just gotta charge it up real quick and then we can get this party started!" Star reassured Lincoln with a smile as she grabbed his arm and dragged the Loud boy into her room. Once inside the princess's room, Lincoln rubbed his slightly sore arm due to Star's sudden and strong pull as the Princess dug though the drawer of her nightstand right next to her bed.
"What the-where is it?!" Star then proceeded to panic as she started throwing all the stuff out of her nightstand before taking out the drawer completely and turning it upside down and trying to shake something else out of it before throwing it to the side. "No, no, no, no, no this can't be happening!"
"Star what's wrong?" Lincoln asked as he watched the Mewman run rapidly around her room looking throw every nook and cranny and throwing stuff around. Even a few sharp objects and weapons that Lincoln had to duck under.
"I can't find my charger!" Star told Lincoln as she walked up to him with her body slumped down and her room having various junk and weapons spread around it. "I don't get it! I swear I put it in my nightstand last night!"
"Well, maybe you ended up misplacing it." Lincoln told Star as he scratched the back of his head as she gestured to all the junk that was now scattered around Star's room. "No offense Star but…you're kinda messy."
"Lincoln! This is serious!" Star told Lincoln as she grabbed his jacket and pulled closer and looked him right in the eye. Star then released her grip on him as she showed him the dropping power meter on her wand. "Wands need to charge with magical energy, if it does to the skull, it'll be dead forever!" As Star said this, tears filled her eyes as the hearts on her cheeks turned to white skulls.
"Can't we just go shopping for a new charger or something?" Lincoln suggested, thinking of something to try and cheer Star up as well as fix the current problem.
Star then gasped as the tears disappeared from her eyes with stars now filling them as the white skulls on her cheeks now changing to light bulbs. "Of course!" Star let out as her smile returned. "They sell them at Quest Buy!"
"Quest Buy?" Lincoln questioned as he has never heard of that place before.
Before Star could say anything more, they heard a high pitched gasped coming from the hallway under them and watched as suddenly Leni poked her head out of the entrance to Star's room with a big grin on her face. "Did I here the word shopping?!" Leni asked with excitement in her voice.
"Oh yeah, Star needs to buy a new charger at some place called Quest Buy." Lincoln informed his 2nd oldest sister with Star nodded in confirmation and pointed to her dull colored wand to show.
"Quest Buy? Ooooooh, I remember you saying something about that during our girl's day!" Leni stated as she thought back to when they took Star to the mall and Star mentioning a place called Quest Buy. "I am totes coming along!"
"Uuuuuh…" Both Star and Lincoln let out as they gave each other unsure looks. They weren't sure about Leni coming along for this. Of course they both enjoyed being around her, heck, Star and Leni were already planning out future Girl's Day's. But the thing is, this sorta a magic mission and Leni…wasn't exactly the brightest sibling in the Loud family.
"I'm…not so sure Leni." Lincoln told his 2nd oldest sister. Leni gave him a confused look as she tilted her head at him. "No offense but…I don't think you're ready for magic stuff."
"Aw come guys, please!" Leni begged them as she gave the two 14-year-old's puppy dog eyes. "And its, like, just shopping right?"
"Well…I guess so." Star said with a small smile on her face as she pulled out her dimensional scissor. "Ah what the heck. Alright you can come!"
"Yay!" Leni cheered as she fully came into Star's room and joined the two. "This is gonna be so much fun! My first magic quest with you guys!"
"Hehehe, yeeeeah…" Lincoln let out nervously with a sheepish smile before whispering to Star. "Are you sure about this Star? Getting that charger fast seems to be important. I love her but Leni can be easily…distracted."
"Pfft, don't worry Linc, it's like she said we're pretty much just going shopping at Quest Buy, it'll be fine." Star whispered back to her best friend. "Besides, she can't be that easily distracted, can she?"
"Oooooooo! Shiny!" Suddenly Leni separated from her brother and the princess as her eyes focused to a dagger that was one the ground with some sunlight coming in from the window shining off it and attracting Leni like a fish. Both 14-year-olds panicked as Lincoln pulled Leni away from the sharp blade with Star picking it up by its handled and throwing it back into the chest she originally took it out of.
"Oooook, I see your point now." Star stated before shrugging it off and giving Lincoln a reassuring smile. "But still, all we gotta do is go to Quest Buy, get a new charger, and then were good to go! Easy peasy lemon squeezy."
"Well…if your sure." Lincoln finally relented as Leni stood next to him with an eager smile on her face.
"Alright good! Cause we don't have another second to lose!" Star told the two Louds as she checked her wands power meter again before gripping her Dimension Scissors tightly and using them to open a portal and quickly grabbed both Lincoln and Leni's wrist and dragging them into the portal with her and saying…
"Welcome to Quest Buy!"
After recovering from falling on the ground thanks to Star's sudden pulling, both siblings stood up and loudly gasped as they took in their surroundings. Quest Buy was easily the biggest store they have ever seen, bar none. The shelves seemed to go on forever, they couldn't find an actual roof as when they looked up, they just saw the many upper levels of the store, and creatures of all shapes and sizes were seen buying items both familiar and unfamiliar to the two louds.
"O…M…Gosh!" Leni squealed out in the most excited tone Lincoln has ever heard from her as she looked all around her with stars in her eyes. "This is the biggest shopping mall I've ever seen!"
"That's Quest Buy for ya." Star told the 19-year-old with a smirk on her face and her hands on her rips with her wand tightly gripped in her right hand. "It has pretty much everything!"
Star then gestured her hands out to the area in front of them allowing them to see what looked like a bipedal sloth-like creature with a bored look on his face wearing what seemed to a be an employee's uniform. In front of the sloth were two different creatures. One was an alien-looking creature with green skin, four eyes, brown hair along with a mullet on his face. He wore a blue and yellow striped long sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes with blue bottoms.
Right next to the green man was a bipedal shining black ninja frog-like creature wearing a white cape with padding around the neck and shoulders, a read sweatshirt with the initials N.C. on them, and grey ripped jeans.
The green man was currently talking to the sloth employee with a very irritated look on his face. "Look…I am just looking for a drawing tablet!" The green man told the sloth in a tone that showed he was just done with this.
"That's not my department." The sloth told the customer in a bored and uncaring tone.
"But you're customer support!" The green man yelled even louder and more frustrated.
"That's not my department either." The sloth told the green man again.
"Grrrrrrr…" The green man growl, about ready to be pull his hair out at this rate.
"Dude, Petrus, just give it up." The ninja frog told the green man now known as Petrus. "I told you this place was crap."
"Ugh, whatever Bryce." Pretrus told his companion now known as Bryce with the roll of his four eyes as he took out his own Dimensional Scissors. "Let's just go to Game Stop."
"Best idea you've had all day." Bryce said as Petrus opened a portal.
"Just shut up and get in the portal." Petrus told Bryce as the ninja frog simply sighed and entered the portal with Petrus entering soon after.
"Hm, lots of weird people here." Lincoln said as they all watched the scene with Leni nodding in agreement. Just then a silver tray was put in front of Leni with two beakers on it with one beaker having a fizzy green liquid and one beaker having a steaming green liquid with an eye ball floating inside.
"Care for a sample ma'am?" A fish-man in a sleeveless tuxedo offered the 19-year-old. "Either take a sample, or leave a sample. Choice is yours."
"Hmm, I think I'll leave one." Leni told the fish-man with a smile. "Lisa makes us do it all the time."
"Ok! None of that!" Lincoln quickly grabbed Leni's arm and dragged her away from the sample man and told his sister. "Look Leni, we're just here for Star's charger and then we're leaving. Ok?"
"Relax Linky, I know." Leni reassured her younger brother with a quick hug.
Beep! Beep! Beep!
"You two can hug later, we gotta hurry!" Star told them as her wand beeped to show the power was lowering even more. Star then grabbed the two's wrist and started dragging them through the store.
As Star dragged them, the two Louds noticed all the weird stuff being sold at the store. "Gnome repellent?" Lincoln questioned as they passed by a shelf filled with cans that had a gnome with an X over it.
"Super strength ghost heads?" Leni said as they passed by a large shelf filled with boxes of said item. "But why would a ghost need a head? They're already dead."
"Leni…asking the wrong question here." Lincoln deadpanned a the 19-year-old before looking to the Butterfly princess dragging them around. "Star, how the heck are you supposed to find anything in this place."
"Don't worry you guys, it just looks messy." Star reassured them as she let them go and stopped moving. "Legend says that the founders of Quest Buy had an ancient cryptic system of symbols they used to organize the store. Some have gone mad trying to decipher it."
Turns out, those symbols were on the wall right next to them and currently reading them was a green gremlin-like creature who looked like he did indeed have a few screws loose. "I finally got it! Housewares is that way!" The gremlin then started laughing excitedly and running in the direction right behind him allowing the two Louds and princess to see him run fast first into a wall.
"Well it shouldn't be a problem." Leni said with confidence in her voice. "If there's one thing I know, its my way around a store." They then watched as Leni examined the area around almost as if acting like a wild life survivalist. She then put her finger in her mouth for a quick second before raising it into the air, as if she was were trying to find the direction of the wind.
Star and Lincoln looked at each other awkwardly as Leni smiled before pointing north east. "The charger department is that way!" Leni told the two with a look that showed she was sure she was right.
Star, after being silent for a moment, simply shook off her confusion as Leni's actions before smirking and pointing her wand at herself and saying. "Don't worry Leni, I know my around here pretty well. Just follow me and we'll be there in no time at all!" Star informed the two Louds as she started walking away.
"But…Star." Leni said to the Mewman princess, continuing to point. "The charger department is that way."
"Leni, don't worry I'm sure Star's got this." Lincoln told his older sister. "She's probably been there thousands of times, we appreciate the help but I'm sure she's got this."
"But-" Leni was then cut off by Lincoln taking out a key chain that had a laser pointer attached to it and proceeded to turn it on and shine a red dot in front of Leni who quickly noticed it. "The red dot! It followed us here!"
"That's right Leni! Get the dot!" Lincoln encouraged as he pointed the dot in the direction Star was heading so Leni would follow her with Lincoln following in the back still shining the dot.
Unaware to them, not to far away from where they were was none other then Ludo and his gang of monsters. Ludo was currently riding inside a shopping cart being pushed by the giraffe monster. As they were going through the store, the Unicorn Bear came up to his master holding a pink dress that was about Ludo's side. "Hey boss, look what I found."
"We're not getting that!" Ludo yelled as his minion.
"Aw, but you'd look so cute in it." The Unicorn Bear told his boss making Ludo glare at him.
Just then the bird monster looked back and saw one of his minions trying to sneak something inside the cart and quickly slapped his hand away. "Stop trying to sneak things into the cart!" Ludo yelled at the monster now rubbing his hand. He then turned around and pointed at the giraffe monster who was carrying in his mouth something called a Girafro in his mouth. "Same goes for you! I don't even know what that is." Ludo then looked at the unicorn bear monster and reminded him and the rest of his monsters. "Look, we're only here because I need an electric beak groomer. Keeps the tip shar while brightening my smile."
The monsters then spotted one of the sloth employee's putting stuff onto a nearby shelf as the giraffe monster pushed the cart towards him allowing his master to face the Quest Buy employee directly. "Clerk peasant, show me to your finest beak groomer!" Ludo demanded the sloth.
"Sorry, that's not my department." The sloth told the bird monster in the same bored tone all the other sloths in the store used.
"I want the name of your supervising wizard!" Ludo yelled angrily at the sloth clerk.
Back with Lincoln, Leni, and Star, the three's journey to find Star's charger led them down a stone pathway in the store. Lincoln was no longer having to lead Leni with a dot, but as they ran Leni was constantly telling the two what she said was the correct way to the charger department but Lincoln and Star kept brushing her off, kinda upsetting Leni a bit.
Just then the three came to a stop as they entered a room with two hallways to the side with the front of the room having a large living Sphinx looking down at the group of three. "Aaaw, kitty!" Leni gushed as the stone creature rolled her eyes before speaking.
"Those who wish to pass my lair, answer my riddles if you dare." The Sphinx told the three teenagers in front of her. "I do not breathe-"
"A leg." Star said as Lincoln pulled up his phone to show Star.
"But I run." The Sphinx continued.
"A leg." Star repeated.
"And jump." The Sphinx still went on.
"A leg!" Star said impatiently.
"And…wait." The Sphinx then looked at the three in front of her with a surprised look on her face as Star kept repeating the answer. "How could you possibly know that?"
"The internet." Star simply said as the three humans looked up at the Sphinx with straight faces.
"The what?" The Sphinx asked in confusion.
"You should look it up." Star told the large stone creature. "Now come on, come on. Open up!" The Sphinx simply sighed as a door opened up between her forelegs with Star and Lincoln quickly running towards the opened pathway. However, Leni didn't move and instead looked at the hallway to the left.
"Actually I think we'd get there faster if we went this way." Leni said as she started to walk into the hallway without Lincoln or Star noticing.
"Ok should be right through here!" Star said as both her and Lincoln continued moving forward. However, once they stopped, both of their eyes widened as they looked around and noticed one important thing.
They were back were they started.
"Gnome repellent? Extra strength ghost heads?" Lincoln pointed as the two saw items they have already passed by. "Star, we're right back where we started! How is this even possible?"
"Let's see. Made a right turn, another right turn, another right turn, then another right turn." Star muttered to herself as she tried to remember all the directions, they went on their search to the charger department. "Ugh! This makes no sense!"
"I thought you said you knew where you were going!" Lincoln yelled at Star making the princess simply let out a whimper. Lincoln heavily sighed before slumping down and turning around. "Alright Leni, let's try it your way."
No response…
"Leni?" Lincoln called out to as both he and Star started to frantically look around for the Loud boy's 19-year-old sister. "Leni where are you?!"
"Oh, no, no, no, no, no!" Star let out as she put her hands on her cheeks, an extremely worried and panicked look on her face. "I thought she was following us!"
"Leni gets distracted by a little red dot, imagine what's gonna happen to her in this place!" Lincoln yelled as he spread his arms out to gesture towards everything in seeing distance and then some. "Now we gotta find both her and the charger! And fast."
Star rapidly nodded in agreement…and then felt something bump into her butt. "Well, well, well." A familiar voice said as Star turned around to see Ludo and his gang of monsters are looking at Star. "Looks like Quest Buy really does have a monster could want." Ludo stated as he crossed his arms at Star as both she and Lincoln quickly entered a fighting stance.
"And now we gotta deal with this." Lincoln said out in annoyance as he and Star glared at the monsters.
"Now hand over the wand or there's going to be a big clean-uo on asile…um…" Ludo cut himself off as he looked around the area around them in confusion. "What aisle is this?"
"That's not my department." A nearby sloth employee stated by walking away.
"Alright Ludo, get ready for-" Star was quick to aim her wand at the monsters in front of her, but Lincoln put his white hand in front of Star to cut her off.
"Don't Star! Using your wand will just drain more of its power." Lincoln informed the young Butterfly as she gasped and checked the power gauge. "Let's find the charger first!"
"Her wands lower on power?" Ludo asked before letting out an evil laugh. "Perfect! Now you're completely defens-"
"Flare gun!" Ludo was quickly cut off by Lincoln putting his left hand forward and aiming his middle and index finger like a gun and using his thumb as a trigger to shoot a fire ball at Ludo's face.
Ludo fell to the bottom of the shopping cart, soot covering his face, as he breathed out a breath of smoke. "Why do I always forget about him…" Ludo asked himself with wheezy voice before quickly wiping the soot off his face and glaring and pointing at the two teens in front of him and yelling to his minions. "Quickly! Get the wand!"
"Ice Floor!" As the monsters roared and began to charge at the two 14-year-olds, Lincoln quickly placed his right hand on the ground and using his powers to ice the floor below the monsters causing them to slip and floor. "Quick! We gotta find my sister and the charger!"
Star nodded and the two quickly took off running away into the deep depths of Quest Buy. As they ran, they tried to make sense of their surroundings, but each stepped they took the areas just got more and more confusing. "How are we ever gonna find either of these things here?!" Star questioned as she looked up, but when she saw what was above them the Mewman princess gasped and pointed up. "Wait! There she is!"
"What?!" Lincoln gasped as he looked to where Star was pointing. Above them seemed to be a tube-like elevator and inside of these, heading to an upper level, was Leni herself as she laughed while taking the rid. Quickly looking around for where the tube elevator possibly began, Lincoln looked to the left and saw two different elevators next to each other. "Quick! There are some elevators over there! Those should take us to her…I hope."
With no other option, the two teens changed directions and headed towards the elevator. Thankfully it opened up automatically allowing them to easily enter and be taken up.
Close behind, after recovering from the ice, were the monsters as they head into the second elevator. However, following behind them was a large slug man leaving a trail of green slime behind him. "Wait up guys!" The slug man told the monsters with a smile as he headed towards the elevator they were all in. "Make room for one more." Ludo and his monsters gained panicked looks as Ludo repeatedly pressed the button to close the door, but it didn't close fast enough as the slug man came up to them and reopened the doors that were half way to closing and somehow managed to squeeze himself inside, pressing Ludo and his gang against the back of the elevator.
With Star and Lincoln, as they rode up the elevator, Star smiled as she saw an area labeled 'Wand Chargers' in neon lights. "Look! The charger department!" Star happily said as she turned Lincoln's head towards said section of the store before looking at her wand and gently caressing it. "Don't worry little wand, we're almost there."
"Alright, and hopefully we can catch up with Leni to." Lincoln said as he leaned against the back of the elevator. "I'm really worried. Can't believe she went off on her own I told her this was serious."
"Don't worry Lincoln, we'll find her to. I'm sure of it." Star reassured her best friend with a small smile and hand on his shoulder. However, right as Star said this, suddenly they came to a stop as the light in the elevator turned off. "We stopped…"
The two managed to reach up and open the doors of the elevator and climb up through with Star hitting her head on an 'Out of Service' sign and were greeted by a sloth employee who had his right arm in a cast and the left side of his fast wrapped up in bandages. "Sorry folks, this elevator's no longer in service." The sloth told them before gesturing his broken arm forward. "Welcome to the booby trap department."
Looking forward, Lincoln and Star could see why this apartment had its name. All over the shelves, aisle, and even the ceiling were all sorts of deadly traps. Some actually turned on! "Please step carefully." However, right as the sloth said that, he stepped right onto a giant mousetrap that pinned him to the ground causing Star and Lincoln to gasp. "Don't help me up! I get workers' comp for this!"
"Um…ok…" Lincoln let out in an unsure tone. "By the way, have you seen a 19-year-old girl pass by? Light blond hair, glasses, wearing a scarf?"
"Oh yeah, she went that way." The cloth said as he pointed his thumb-claw behind him. "She was heading towards the charger department."
"The charger department?!" Both Star and Lincoln yelled in unison. Leni was actually going the right way? They didn't even realize they were heading towards the charger department, they were just chasing after Leni and got lucky, at least until the elevator broke, but to here Leni was actually heading towards the right way as if she knew where to go…maybe they should have listened to her in the beginning.
Just then the ding of an elevator got the two 14-year-olds attention and they looked behind them to see the second elevator come up to the floor they were on with the slug man managing to exit with some struggle. "See ya later guys." The slug man said as he looked behind him where he thought Ludo and his monster gang were. But when he looked back, he saw they weren't there after all. "Guys?" But when he turned around, it was revealed that Ludo and his gang got stuck to the giant slugs back.
With some effort, Ludo managed to pry his face off the slugs back and pointed towards Lincoln and Star and yelled. "Get em!"
"Run!" Lincoln yelled as he and Star quickly booked it with the monsters prying themselves off the slug man and quickly give chase to the two teens. All the while stepping on the sloth under the mouse trap.
"Look out!" Star yelled as she put a hand in front of Lincoln to make him stop running as a giant axe swung just inched in front of them. "Blades of doom!" More axes suddenly started swinging from multiple angels with Star and Lincoln managing to avoid them all and move forward with the unicorn bear ending up with one of the axe's piercing his shirt and dragging him away.
"Massacre darts!" Star yelled at the next obstacle that they approached in the booby trap aisle as skeletons statues set up around the aisle started shooting darts at them with Lincoln and Star running and avoiding darts that came their way.
However, a frill necked monster with a long head with a spike coming out of it wasn't so lucky as while he was chasing the two, about a dozen darts ended up getting shot right into his long head quickly knocking him out.
"The hallway of walls that smash together periodically!" Star yelled as they ran into a hallway that did just as Star said, each section of the wall smashed together in a pattern of vertically and horizontally. Using this knowledge, the two 14-year-old managed to squeezed through the walls once they were already smashed together. The chicken monster wasn't so luckily as he quickly fell victim to the booby-trapped wall but managed to get past with little injury's…somehow.
Finally the human and Mewman had made it out of the booby trap aisle and their eyes sparkled when they say the department they were now in. "We made it!" Lincoln cheered as they saw they were in the department they were trying so hard to find.
"So many chargers…" Star let out as they witnessed for themselves just how huge this area of Quest Buy was. "We'll never find the right one in time!"
"Hey guys! Took ya long enough!"
The two's attention was drawn to a familiar voice and looking up near the top of a very large shelf was none other then Leni Loud on a later waving to them. "LENI!" Both Star and Lincoln yelled in both surprise and shock at seeing the 19-year-old.
"She…actually made it here by herself…" Star let out in amazement.
"Guess we really should've listened to her huh?" Lincoln said as he now started to feel guilty over brushing Leni and her directions off earlier.
"Hey Star! Your charger is shaped like a little crystal heart right?" Leni yelled in the princess's direction with Star yelling back a 'YES' in response. "Oh goodie! Then it should be around here somewhere! Come help me find it!"
Just then the two teens looked behind them to see that Ludo and his minions had caught up to them. "There they are!" Ludo yelled as he pointed at the two with his monsters quickly charging forward.
"Star, you go help Leni find your charger, leave these idiots to me." Lincoln told the Butterfly princess as mist started coming out of his right side and smoke from his left. Star nodded as she quickly ran off to the shelf Leni was at as the monsters came closer and closer towards them.
"Flare gun!" Doing the same attack as before, Lincoln aimed his left hang like a gun and started shooting balls of fire at the incoming monsters with some of them making contact and sending members of Ludo's army back but some actually managed to dodge Lincoln's fire barrage and get close to him.
One of those monsters being the unicorn bear as he approached Lincoln and got ready to tear the boy apart with his claws. But Lincoln remained calm as he reared his right hand back and covered his black fist with ice. "Ice gauntlet!" Lincoln then unleased a punch to the unicorn bears face with his right fist being covered by hardened ice that shattered against the monster's face and sent him crashing against a nearby shelf.
Just then the Giraffe monster, one of the ones to be hit by a fire ball, recovering and started charging at Lincoln. The white-haired boy quickly noticed this and slammed his left fist into the floor of the store after igniting it on fire. "Fire geyser!" With concentration, Lincoln manipulate the flames under the floor until they were right under the giraffe's monster feet. Lincoln then made the flames burst up from the ground like a geyser of fire. Once the flames disappeared, it showed the giraffe monster completely covered in soot before he fell face first to the ground.
"Bawk!" The chicken monster bawked out as he tried to charged at Lincoln through the air with his beak ready to start fiercely pecking the Loud boy.
"Flaming Twister!" Lincoln then aimed his left arm towards the incoming chicken and creating a flaming tornado that quickly enveloped the now panicking chicken. Once Lincoln ceased his attack, the chicken fell to the ground with most of his feather singed off.
"Come on! Can't you idiots do anything right!" Ludo yelled at his gang as he watched Lincoln deliver a simple football kick to the frill-necked monster.
"Alright, I'm bored with all of you. Time to end this." Lincoln said as he spread his arms apart and filled each hand with fire and ice energy before clapping them together. "Steam Screen!" Emerging from Lincoln's clapped hands was a large cloud of steam that quickly covered the nearby area, enveloping all the nearby monsters.
"Ah! Hot steam in my eyes! Steam in my eyes!" Ludo could be heard frantically yelling.
Just then, emerging from the steam scream was Lincoln as he boosted himself into the air by using his white arm as a jet engine as he held his right arm high in the air as he held quickly growing ball of ice energy in his black hand. Soon enough the ice ball grew to the size of trailer or small house as Lincoln looked down at the cloud of steam below. "Been wanting to try this one out for a long time!" Lincoln shouted with an excited grin as he proceeded to throw the giant ice ball down towards the steam cloud. "Ice Age Comet!"
The ball of ice fell down quickly and once it hit the bottom a massive explosion of ice energy occurred enveloping everything nearby. Once it ceased, Lincoln steadily lowered himself to the ground as all the steam finally cleared up. Lincoln smirked as he saw Ludo and his gang, along with a bunch of nearby shelves, all completely enveloped in ice.
"Does…anyone know…where the ice melting stuff is…" Ludo managed to say with his voice muffled by the ice.
"That's not my department." A nearby frozen sloth employee said.
"And that, as they say, is that." Lincoln said as he dusted his hands off.
"Lincoln! Lincoln, we did it!" Turning around, the Loud boy saw Star and Leni approaching with big grins on their faces. "Look, Leni found my charger!" Star then held up her wand which now had a little crystal heart plug in on the bottom of the handle with the wand's colors now back to the normal and the wings straight up again. Then for extra emphasize, Star opened up the wand to show Lincoln the little unicorn in the wand was now galloping on the treadmill with a smile, no longer looking exhausted and dull as the tiny magical horse was now a bright pink. "I really owe Leni a lot, she got it at the last minute."
"It was nothing, just trying to help." Leni told the two in front of her. "Do I know my way around a store or do I know my way around a store?"
"Yeah, you really do huh?" Lincoln said as he looked down and sheepishly rubbed his arm. "Look Leni, I'm really sorry for not listening to you. I guess I really underestimated you. I'm sorry, it won't happen again."
"Aw, its ok Linky." Leni reassured her white-haired brother with a hug. "The point is everything worked out in the end. So its ok!"
"Heh, I think you're to forgiving sometimes." Lincoln said with a chuckle as he hugged his sister back.
"Now, like, as much as I wanna check out more of this place, lets head home." Leni told the two 14-year-olds after separating from Lincoln. "The new Dream Boats on today!"
"That's today?!" Star gasped as she quickly took out her dimensional scissors. "Come on, we gotta go!"
"Wait don't we have to pay for-" Lincoln was quickly cut off Star grabbing his and Leni's wrist, pulling them through the portal and ending yet another adventure.
And that's the show folks! I always enjoy writing Lincoln's fights due to how creative I can be with his powers. And giving Leni some time in the light is a also a plus as she is my favorite sister.
Quick note, Lincoln's Flare gun, Ice Age Comet, Steam Screen, Ice Gauntlet and Fire geyser were all ideas of my friend Qazse!
So with that said, remember to fav, follow, leave a review and stay tuned for the next chapter...
