Meanwhile, while Sonic and Sophia have their party, somewhere in Green Hills, a bunch of leaves float around. A ring portal appears and a yellow fox creature jumps out. He looks at his scanner. "If these readings are accurate, they're here. I found them! I hope I'm not too late," He jumps off the cliff and then uses his tails to fly, speeding around the town. He lands in some bushes right outside the police station. He then looks at the scanner. "Hm, they're close. I just need a way to reach 'em without being spotted..." He notices a police car in front of the Mean Bean, a coffee shop. "Standard human transport. Perfect!"
Sonic is using a flamingo floatie in the pool they made, wearing sunglasses while 'This is How We Do It' plays. Sophia relaxes her hair into the bubbles, bopping her head to the music. Suddenly they hear a vibrating sound, Sonic removing his sunglasses and digging into the pool for his phone. He falls into the water and then pulls out his phone to see Tom wanting to face time them.
"Uh oh! Oh, boy," He states nervously as he looks around. "Sunshine, it's your dad!"
She gasps sharply as she sits up. Sonic flips the switch and they speed around the living room, quickly cleaning everything up. They put everything back to normal and Sophia sits on the floor next to the couch while he lays on it casually. He clears his throat and answers the phone.
"Aloha!" Tom greets them while out in the sun, laughing. "How's it going, guys?"
"Oh, you know, just a quiet night at home, settling in with a good book," Sonic states with a small smile.
"Yep! And I'm just thinking of stuff to watch," Sophia smiles widely, holding up her phone to reveal Paramount Plus on it.
"And you? What's up with you?" The blue hedgehog wonders quickly.
"I was just calling to say we're here. But now every word out of the both of you is making me suspicious," He places his hand in his pocket. "You guys weren't doing anything weird, were you?"
"Dad," Sophia's ears fall in embarrassment, covering her face with her hand. "No."
"What?" Sonic feigns innocence to Tom. "You gotta relax, buddy. You're at the Four Seasons Oahu. Have a Mai Tai. Enjoy some time with your wife. Get sunburned somewhere embarrassing. This weekend is about you."
"Yeah, get the sunburn all over your face so that way you're not embarrassing me anymore," Sophia smirks in amusement and Tom smiles playfully, nodding in acknowledgement.
"You know what? You two are right. We all power-bumped on it. So whatever it is you're both doing, I'm sure you can undo it by the time we get home, yeah? Yeah?" He nods at them, knowing that they can easily clean it up.
"Exactly! I mean, I am deeply offended by such accusations!" Sonic exclaims dramatically, Sophia giggling at him. "So, how's Rachel's fiance? Is he as good looking in person as he is in pictures?" When the Wachowskis got the invitation to the wedding, they got to see Randall in a photo with Rachel, and when Rachel announced that she was dating him. Tom looks up ahead at the couple, who give each other a brief kiss.
"He's probably not as good-looking as you, blue bear," Sophia winks up at him and he snuggles her with a happy hum.
"Aww! Thanks, Sunshine."
Tom just smiles a bit at the two. He then sighs a little as he's getting a good look at Randall. "Somehow better-looking."
"Wow! You're about to be the third best looking dude in the family!" Sonic exclaims as Rachel and Randall toast with Maddie. "But hey, still on the podium."
"Ha ha ha," Tom mocks the blue hedgehog. "Alright, I better go introduce myself," He then holds up a warning finger. "Stay out of trouble, you two."
"Trouble? Don't worry. Everything here is completely normal," Sonic waves off, though Sophia flinches as she sees Ozzy walking by with soap over his fur.
"Uh-huh," The cop isn't too sure about that one. "Night, bud. Love you, Soph."
"Bye, Dad," She waves to him and then pulls the phone over so that he can face her. "And if you can, try not to talk to the guy as much as possible," She looks away awkwardly, confusing her dad. "Or at least, don't make it worse for yourself." He blinks, wondering why she's saying that, but decides not to dwell on it.
"Um, okay," Tom mumbles to himself before hanging up. He then approaches Randall. "Hey! I was just coming over to say hi," He holds up a hand to shake hands with Randall, who looks immediately pissed at him.
"You've got a lot of nerve coming up in here after what you did to my fiancee," He accuses Tom angrily.
"Wait, what?" He asks in confusion, wondering what exactly he's talking about.
"Totaling her car, leaving her tied to a chair. Man, I should rip you limb from limb," Randall warns and Tom now knows why Sophia warned him—because of what happened the last time the both of them saw Rachel.
"I...I..." Tom stammers nervously as he's already off to a bad start.
"Oh my god! Look at your face!" Randall chuckles at the man, and starts patting his cheeks. "Tommy, breathe, baby! Breathe. I was kidding."
"Oh! Okay," Tom laughs along with him. "You were kidding?"
"Yeah," The man smiles in assurance. "I'm sorry. Rachel put me up to it," He gestures to his fiancee, Rachel and Maddie looking back in amusement. "It was totally her idea."
"Yeah, rascal!" He should've expected that since Rachel still has a grudge against him enough to do that.
"Listen, I don't know if you're aware. Rachel does not care for you at all," Randall tells Tom plain and simple.
"Oh, I'm aware," Tom nods at him, the two sisters walking over to join them.
"Seriously, bro, you got work to do," Randall adds in since Rachel has...shown distaste for Tom multiple times to him. "You and your kid. She's not here with you? Jojo talks about her all the time."
"It's um, complicated," Tom coughs awkwardly; Rachel and JoJo didn't know yet about Sophia now being a hedgehog, given the former's reaction to him. And she'd probably feel a little self-conscious even if she did show since...it'd be weird. He didn't want that for her, as much as she did want to go, though.
"Hey!" Rachel greets him while Maddie joins his side.
"Hey!" He says back in a friendly way as she hands him a drink.
"Good to see you. Thanks for coming, Tom," She smiles at him, Randall wrapping an arm around her. "Really glad you came!"
"Really?" He asks the woman in surprise as she seems to mean it. "Well, great! Great to see you too! Congratulations! You guys seem really happy together," He points out as the happy couple share another kiss.
"Ya know, you're alright, Thomas Wachowski. But I'm so disappointed that my only niece isn't here! What happened? I know I invited her too..."
"She's got, um...a really bad case of a skin disease. Yeah, it's so bad you can't even recognize her anymore," Tom says awkwardly, the couple glancing at each other. "She's sorry she couldn't come, though," He grins widely, Maddie elbowing for him to stop.
"I think they get it, Tom."
"Anyway, can we bury the hatchet?" Rachel wonders hopefully, Maddie surprised at how mature her sister is acting. Especially since Rachel was so against her marrying Tom and their marriage in general. And to how she treated Sophia as well.
"I'd love that!" Tom smiles happily at her.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah!"
"Alright, bring it in!" Rachel smiles and the two share a hug. "And if you screw up my wedding, I will end you," She whispers threateningly to Tom, who drops his smile immediately.
Sonic, Sophia, and Ozzy are sitting on the couch, watching TV. Sonic has his arm around his girlfriend, both of them eating popcorn. "Alright guys, it's movie night at Casa de Sonic," He tosses some popcorn into Ozzy's mouth. "And you're picking, Ozzy." A ring portal forms from outside. "But we are not watching Snow Dogs again. That movie is the wooooorst~!"
"We could watch a Keanu Reaves movie, he does love those," Sophia smiles up at him.
"You always know the way to my heart," He smiles and they share a brief kiss. He then runs a hand through her quills. "Sunshine...about the whole school thing...I-" Suddenly the power goes out and the two hedgehogs look up in confusion. "Ho ho! Blackout!" Sonic cheers and Sophia gets onto her feet.
"I hope it wasn't you again," She turns around to him.
"Nope, not me, Sunshine," He tells her as she looks around. He gets a blanket and turns on a flashlight in front of Ozzy. "Ooooh, Ozzyyyyy," He says in a spooky voice, scaring off the dog. "Oh, sorry, buddy. Everything's okay," Sonic tries to assure him.
"I guess I gotta check the fuse box, but Dad checked it himself before he left," Sophia murmurs as she walks off. "Maybe he missed a step or something."
"Aw! But I love the dark. It makes for some good action, if you know what I mean~" Sonic teases her and she scoffs in amusement.
"If Dad calls us right this second after you saying that, you can deal with him. As for me, I'm not a fan of the dark. I'll be back and then I'll go comfort Ozzy," She kisses his cheek and walks off. He smiles at her as she leaves. A few seconds later, the TV screen goes to static and he stands up in alarm.
"Sunshine? Did you fix the TV already?" He calls out to her, but doesn't get an answer. He jumps off the couch, walking up to the television. He had a feeling that if it was Sophia, then the house would be lit up. "Excuse me. We did not order a poltergeist," He states nervously, walking through the house. Lightning strikes from outside, a shadow flashing from the wall. The lights flicker and he gets to the door. He takes a slight deep breath. "Uh, if this is the pizza guy, this is really unprofessional."
Sophia is standing outside the house, looking up as the lights flicker from the inside. She's on the opposite side of the house, so she can't see Sonic right now. "What?" She murmurs to herself, wondering what's going on with the power. She reaches out to the fuse box, and opens it up...seeing that someone had punched through it. And whoever did it...has giant strong hands. She narrows her eyes a bit as she sees two holes, but they were a few feet apart.
"These markings..." She says to herself as she stares at them. "They look like they came from...from a different kind of hand..." She recoils back in realization that it wasn't human, it was something else entirely. "And whoever did it was trying to distract us! Sonic!" She shouts in concern, rushing back towards her bedroom window to sneak in from there so that she wouldn't get seen.
He presses his ear against the door, hearing nothing. He reaches for the doorknob and then sparks appear from it. He yelps in alarm, jumping away from the door. Thunder strikes as the doorknob is popped off from outside.
He stares at the door, glancing back at the house and hoping that Sophia doesn't come back. He had to protect her from whoever was trying to break in. The door slowly opens...to reveal Robotnik himself. One of his fingers from his glove had acted as a taser for him to use.
"Eggman?" He asks in disbelief while thunder continues from outside. Robotnik blows off the flame from his finger, turning back to the hedgehog.
"Hello, hedgehog. Did you miss me?"
Angel: To all the guests who keep harassing me to forgive a certain user on here, can we stop? Like, seriously, I've already dealt with something similar recently. I don't need it again. Honestly, why are people harassing me through guest reviews, it's unnecessary.
And whatever happened with the user, it's not really something other people should be getting involved in because, you know, privacy! Sure, I've definitely mentioned other personal stuff on my stories, but if it's a personal issue that happened a while ago with another user (like probably over a year with this person), you're not gonna win me over trying to get my attention to talk to someone else that I haven't forgiven for that long. It's just not gonna happen because a, I don't need this harassment. B, I definitely don't need to add it to the list of shit that's happened over almost 7 years of writing.
And C, just to really get the point across, you remember Harmony from my Tangled stories? Well, the user that people want me to forgive so much, EmpressLoveSiren23, used my OC (without my permission at all btw, she never asked me if she could use Harmony which is something people should KNOW to do), and then portrayed her in a negative light. Or at least, in a way that I didn't like. She did change it so that it's her own original character and not mine, but then has the nerve to call me out. And yet still expected me to forgive her, so yeah…
Not putting up with someone like this. Stealing my OC wasn't even the worst of it. She's blocked for a reason, guys. Well, multiple reasons, but you get the point. Stop-STOP bugging me about her, I don't want to get involved in any of this. Leave. Me. Alone. About. EmpressLoveSiren23.
