Each day that passed by was a struggle. Not having that one on one time spar with Katsuki anymore definitely took its toll.
The closeness
Talking of any sort.
Erity realized the only reason she had come here was to meet Katsuki, everything else that happened after that was just sort of miraculous.
Was there any reason for her to stay at U.A. anymore?
No.
She had made her decision to enroll in another school after all of Katsuki's chemo appointments had finished and he would finally be cancer free. He still has a long way to go.
'Why am I torturing myself? I should just go. He doesn't need me.' As many times as Erity argued about this with herself she just couldn't leave him. Not like this.
Erity told him she'd stay outside the building if he wished it, but he never said anything regarding that. Right after he went in and got sent to the back Erity would situate herself near the window. So when Katsuki opened up the door on his way out. The window she was standing at would be directly opposite. He couldn't miss her. It was also right near the exit. So even if he tried to avoid looking at her. He would know.
She wanted him to see.
But damn it all if this wasn't killing her spirit on the inside.
She was there to support him, even Aizawa, Kirishima, Iida, Deku and at certain times Monoma. Erity was pissed beyond all reason when Emiko never showed up once.
Maybe Katsuki didn't care. Or else told her Erity would be there. But knowing Emiko, if she found out Erity was here…she would hop right on over here.
Whatever the case. She wanted to wring her scrawny little neck for these incidences.
"Give me back my quirk you leech."
"Huh?" Erity asked when Katsuki had found her sitting up in her tree in her space.
"Don't huh me. You took my quirk away because your pissed at me. Now give it back."
"I didn't do squat." She said ignoring him. He was not happy with the answer and managed to yank her down to his level. "What the hell Katsuki? Okay look watch." She held up her hand. "Perimeter." There was only two floating sweat glands. "Not Katsuki." His dropped to the ground. She watched as he tried to get his quirk to activate but nothing happened. Erity refused to say anything else and climbed back up the tree.
But as she did so, Erity hated herself right then and there, he probably just lost his quirk for good and she turned the other cheek instead of trying to help him.
She cried silently until she knew he walked away. And then she yelled her frustrations to the world.
"His quirk is still there, it hasn't just up and disappeared. It just seems like his link with it has been severed somehow." Aizawa said during the next chemo visit.
"I'd like to do something for him. But I'm not sure anything would help at this point." Kirishima said as they were walking down a busy market street a while after because of sheer boredome.
"Yeah." She gazed in the mirror at her reflection. "Though I kinda feel like doing something crazy."
"Like what?"
"I'm not sure really. All I know is I'd do anything." Katsuki's hair had also fallen out completely. Making him rage more.
"Guess I could buy him a wig."
"A wig huh?"
"Yeah I'll be right back."
Erity suddenly knew what she had to do. But she would have to come back by herself so no one would see. She passed a tattoo parlor on her way in here. She'd have to remember directions to get back to it.
"So what color you get?"
"I kinda got all of them, wasn't sure if he preferred a certain color."
Katsuki ended up choosing dark red. (I know black is his color of choice…but no.) "Oh my." Erity breathed when she saw him wearing it the next day.
Darker than Katsuki's eye color. Kirishima may have thought he looked cool in red. But Katsuki's new look made him look plain looking.
She shook her head from side to side "Snap out of it."
"Looking good Bakugo."
"Shut up."
"No man I'm being serious. You realize you got all heads turned in your direction? Everyone's fawning all over you." He looked around and saw Kaminari was right.
"Everyone take a pic and move on." Suddenly lights were flashing everywhere. "Not literally you idiots."
Erity's phone buzzed. The whole class sent her their pics of him. Mina winked at her. She got alot more when he wore the purple wig, and then again with silver.
"Maybe you should grow your hair out." Kaminari stated after seeing Katsuki with long purple hair tied back. I'm kinda envious of those locks."
"Hey man." She heard Kirishima say to Katsuki. "So I hear you'll be in the clear soon with your chemo and everything."
"Yeah they say it's in remission and I can finally go back to my normal life. Three more and I'm done."
"We'll throw a party afterwords."
"I'd rather have my quirk back."
"Come on man, you beat cancer and lived to tell about it. Live a little."
"Go ahead and throw your little party. But just don't expect me to show up."
"One minute, that's all I'm asking."
"I'll think it over."
She thought things over too. About her transfer. She had finally felt right about her timing. She went in search of Aizawa to talk things over.
"I've noticed things haven't been the same since chemo." He said. "it's such a shame this all happened. You two did very well together. His last day of treatment is a week and a half. So give another week and a half for the transfer. Your looking at almost 30 days."
"Thank you Eraser."
"I suppose you want this kept quiet?"
"If possible."
