Hehehe, I was smiling the whole time I was writing this. Card Wars is my absolute favorite episode of Adventure Time. I remember seeing it for the first time with my sister and we were laughing so much through out the whole episode that we rewinded it so we can watch it again. I've been wanting to do a chapter around it in one of my stories for so long and this story was just perfect for it. So I hope you guys enjoy!

"Come on! Come on? Where is it?!" Star yelled as she frantically looked around her room for something that was presumably important to the Mewman princess. So much so that she turned her room upside down looking for it…literally. "Its gotta be around here somewhere…unless…ugh! How could I forget it!" Star groaned as she took out her wand and spun it around. "Twisty Turney Right-Side Uppey!" With the glow of her wand, Star's room proceeded to poof back to normal…with Star now in mid air due to the face she had been previously standing on her rooms ceiling.

"Uh-oh…" Star let out before she started falling. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!" With a loud thud, Star face planted on the floor. "Ow…" After recovering from the fall, Star managed to stand up, thankfully not suffering any sort of injuries as she walked over to the mirror. "Alright, time to call…mom…"

However, Star came to a halt as she said that word. Her mother. It has only been two days since the sleep walking incident and when she started glowing…purple. That feeling she remembered that weird glow gave her still made her shudder as it wasn't exactly something pleasant. And it seemed to stem from issue's she was having with her mother.

"Ugh! Why does this have to be so complicated…" Star groaned as she ran a hand over her face. The Mewman princess then took a deep breath as she tried to calm herself down. Especially before she started glowing purple again. "Ok Star relax, just ask her to send over the thing and then that's it. That's all you have to say." Taking another deep breath, Star looked at her mirror and said. "Mirror, mirror on the wall, call mom."

"Calling Tom." The mirror said as the words 'Calling Tom Lucitor' appeared in green on the mirror with Star's eyes widening in response.

"No! No! No! No!" But before Star could stop the call, suddenly someone who appeared to resemble a demon with spiky salmon-colored hair, very pale lilac skin, three red eyes with one of them being on his forehead, black eyeliner under and around his eyes, two pale-orange white-tipped horns on the sides of his head, sharp teeth, and pointy ears and nose. He could also be seen a red tattered T-shirt with a bright red star within a maroon circle in the center. This was Star's demon ex-boyfriend, Tom Lucitor.

"Star!" Tom said with a smile, fire behind him in the backround, as he looked at his ex.

"No! No!" Star yelled with a tone that wasn't happy at all as she gave Tom an angry look.

"Oh, wait!" Tom pleaded for Star to stay on the line. "You're here. I'm here."

"I said call mom!" Star told her mirror angrily. "Not Tom!"

"No Star!" Tom continued to plead before his eyes all glowed red and his voice become distorted. "Don't hang up!" But Star did just that as she pressed a button on her mirror which hung up the mirror on Tom and showed it was now calling mom like how Star originally wanted.

"I really gotta delete him off my mirror." Star reminded herself to take care of that later before queen Moon appeared on Star's mirror. "Hi mom!"

"…What did you go?" Moon immediately asked, knowing that her daughter usually calls her when she ended up doing something wrong, mostly with her magic, and needed to ask how to fix it.

"What? Nothing!" Star told her mom, but Moon rose an eyebrow not believe her daughter at first. "I'm being serious mom. I didn't do anything. I actually just wanted to ask you something."

"Alright…" Moon said with a skeptic tone, still not completely believing her daughter when she said nothing was wrong. Her daughter was quite the trouble maker to say the absolute least. "What is it sweetie?"

"Well, I was looking around my room for something but I think I might have left it on Mewmi." Star explained to her mom as she grew excited at the thought of it. While yes, she did have dimensional scissors and could go there on her own…she kinda wasn't supposed to have them and was supposed to stay on earth and if her parents found out she had the scissors and was leaving earth from time to time, she would be in big trouble. "You know that super awesome game I love to play?"

"Super awesome…oh yes I know the one." Moon gave it some thought and then smiled as she remembered the many times Star played it with her friend back on Mewni.

"Awesome! Do you think maybe you or someone else could go into my room back at home and look around for it and send it here?" Star asked her mother with puppy dog eyes.

"Oh very well." Moon told her daughter with a small smile making Star pep up. "I'll get Manfred on it at once."

"Eeeeeeh!" Star squealed happily as she bounced up and down. "Thank you so much mom! You're the best."

"You're welcome sweetie." Moon said to her now extremely happy daughter. "Love you."

"Love you two!" Star said before Moon hung up the mirror.

"Come on! Where is he?!" Star yelled impatiently as she hung upside down from her bed while starring at the middle of her room where the portal would most likely open with Manfred delivering that item Star was so eager to get her hands on. So far its been a half an hour and no Manfred. "Ugh come on, how long could it take? I packed up most of my things before leaving for earth so there shouldn't be-"

Just then the sound of a portal opening cut Star off her rant as she looked at the source of the sound with wide and sparkling eyes. A portal that was colored the way all Mewni portals were colored opened up right where she predicted causing the princess to smile widely as she flipped right off her bed and landing on her feet.

She watched with sparkling anticipation in her eyes as her family's loyal servant Manfred came through the portal with a metal box in her hand. "Delivery for Princess Star Butterfly." Manfred said in a regal and proffesional tone.

"Woohoo! Its here!" Star cheered as she excitedly ran towards Manfred, snatching the metal box in his hand. She was so fast however that she ended up bumping right into Manfred, sending the butler screaming and flying back through the portal. Star didn't seem to really notice to much as she simply looked through the portal and said. "Thanks Manfred!"

Star didn't even see the portal close up as she excitedly jumped out of her room and ran down the hallway towards Lincoln's room. "Lincoln! Lincoln! Lincoln! Lincoln! Lincoln! Lincoln!" Star called out to rapidly as she ran up to his door and proceeded to kick it right down off the hinges.

"THE DOOR!" Lincoln yelled as he jumped right off his bed at seeing Star break down his door. "Star! We've talked about this!"

"No time for doors Lincoln!" Star said as she walked over the door she had just knocked down. Thankfully she could always fix It later, but for now, much more important stuff needed to be shown off first. "Check THIS out!"

Star then held out the box in her hands and showed it off to Lincoln. "…It's a box." Lincoln said in an unimpressed tone. "You broke down my door to show me…a bo-ow!"

Star cut Lincoln off by flicking his head and blowing a raspberry at him. "Not the box dumb-dumb!" Star told him as Lincoln rubbed the spot Star flicked with an irritated look on his face. Star then gave an eager smile as she put a hand on the top of the box and slowly began to open it. "May I present to you, the single greatest game in the known universe…CARD WARS!" Star then opened up the lid to the box, throwing the lid to the side allowing Lincoln to look inside and see a whole bunch of different cards in the box with some of them having pictures of strange creatures on them and some having what looked like spells and other kinds of stuff.

"Oh, so its some kind of card game?" Lincoln asked as he picked up one of the cards inside the box. However, Star then proceeded to bonk Lincoln on the head in response to his words. "Ow! Stop hitting me."

"Oh Lincoln, poor naïve Lincoln." Star slowly said while shaking her head. Lincoln simply gave Star a blank look in response. "This isn't just a card game. This is thee greatest game in existence. Its about two dividing kingdoms using whatever creatures, spells, and buildings they have to fight each other off and claim all the land for themselves! FOR THE GLORY!" Lincoln was a bit taken back by how Star spoke that last part, and was surprised to see her take a complete 180 and give him a simple smile. "So you wanna play with me?"

Lincoln hummed as he looked at all the cards inside the box but gave Star an unsure look. "I…I don't know Star." Lincoln told the princess causing Star to frown a bit.

"Whaaaaat?" Star let out as she gave Lincoln the puppy dog eyes, which Lincoln was careful not to look right into. "But why…"

"Well, no offense Star, but whenever we play a game you always mess with the rules." Lincoln stated as he covered his eyes so we wouldn't succumb to Star's pleading puppy dog eyes. "Whenever we play board games and stuff, you always make up these crazy rules to make sure you always win. It…just kinda takes the fun outta playing with you ya know."

Star whimpered in response, but couldn't help but nod a bit. She does kinda have a history of rigging games and such and it looks like Lincoln was done dealing with it. "Ok, maybe I kinda rig games from time to time…" Star sheepishly admitted as Lincoln gave her a blank look. "Ok I do it all the time! But this is Card Wars Lincoln! I always respect the rules of this game! Ask any of my friends!"

"Hmmmm…" Lincoln hummed, still unsure about playing this card game with Star.

"Please! Please! Please! Please! Please!" Star was now full on begging on her knees as she looked up at Lincoln with pleading eyes. "At least one game! Please!"

"Well…if you promise not to mess with the rules…" Lincoln said with a small smile making Star's eyes start to lightly sparkle. "Then I guess one game wouldn't hurt."

"YAY!" Star's mood quickly turned back to happy and peppy as she gave Lincoln her signature tight hug causing Lincoln to smile and laugh a bit. "Let's go play in my room!" Star, in typical Star fashion, grabbed Lincoln wrist and quickly started dragging him out of his room.

But she soon came to a halt as two people blocked the way to her room. It was Lucy Loud and…

"Janna?" Star let out as she and Lincoln stopped as both Lucy and Janna seemed to be entering the formers room.

"Sup." Janna casually greeted with a wave before looking past the two in front of her and seeing Lincoln's room with the door knocked down. "Hey Linc, missing your door there."

"Yeah, I've noticed." Lincoln said with a blank tone.

"Cool." Janna responded with a chuckle before noticing the metal box in Star's hand. "So what're you two nerds up to?"

"We're gonna play Card Wars!" Star enthusiastically said with her signature giant smile. "Wanna join?"

"I dunno." Janna said as she looked at the cards in the box. "Can your cards let you contact the dead or predict the future."

"Um…..nooooo…" Star slowly let out with a strange look.

"Then we'll pass." Lucy said as she reached into her pocket and pulled out a deck of tarot cards. "Me and Janna have out own cards to tend to."

"Maybe some other time." Janna said as she and Lucy entered the young goths room, shutting the door behind them.

"Ok. Later Janna Banana!" Star said, giving Janna a new nickname that made the blond giggle. "Come on Lincoln! We're burning day light!"

"But we're inside." Lincoln pointed out before Star grabbed his arm and dragged him up into her own room.

"Not important!" Star quickly said before closing the door leading into her room. "Now to set up a proper Card Wars arena!" Star then took out her wand and twirled it around and aimed it at the middle of her room. "Awesome Card Wars Arena Creation!" Star then fired a beam at the area of her room she pointed at and from this magic created a large enough table for a gameboard, bags of snacks like chips and candy, and couple of two liters of pop with two cups on each side of the table. Plus two chairs.

"Nice!" Lincoln said as he walked to the left side of the table, sat down in the chair and started pouring himself a cup of root beer and taking a handful of sour cream and onion chips. "So how's this played out?"

"Well…" Star began as she reached into the metal box. Lincoln ended up getting surprised as Star dipped her head and her arms completely into the box. Must be enchanted to be much bigger on the inside. Star then proceeded to pull a game board as well as a small booklet out of the box and unfolded the game board onto the table and handed the booklet to Star which Lincoln saw was a rule book. "Like I said earlier its all about two sides battling it out. You can summon creatures, cast spells, and set up buildings and such to aid you in your conquest. The winner is decided when one side doesn't have any creatures to summon or fight with."

"Ah ok, that makes sense." Lincoln said as he read through the rule book. Star then took the cards and shuffled some up while placing certain cards on both her and Lincoln's side. Once she was all down, she sat down in her own chair, stuffing her face with candy real quick before speaking once more.

"You can use that rule book to help ya out, and I'll give ya some pointers as we go on to." Star said with her mouth full. Finally she swallowed as she leaned back in her chair, a smug look on her face. "I don't mean to brag, but I'm pretty much a pro at this game. My friends like Pony Head and Kelly can never beat me."

"Well I'm not them." Lincoln said with a smirk as he set the rule book down next to him. "And I think you'll find I'm both a fast learner and not someone to take lightly."

"OoOoOoh! Them's fighting words boy!" Star said with a smirk and narrowed eyes, her tone both challenging and playful. "Well you better get ready because the battle…" Star then flooped four cards in front of her causing her side of the board to gain holographic images of four lanes of landscapes with three of them resembling cornfield and one looking like a swamp. She also seemed to have some orange colored structures on them. And the swamp had a bald walking around in it wearing only underpants. "Is on!"

"So be it!" Lincoln gave Star his own challenging smirk as he flooped his own landscape cards. Lincoln's side of the board resembled blue plains on all four rows with him having a castle and a school house for buildings. He also had a scholar and a cool looking dog with sunglasses for creatures.

The two then drew five cards each, both keeping them hidden from each other as Star raised up her hand. "Alright, I go first!" Star said as she reached her hand to one of the cards in front of her that went with her landscape. "I floop the silo of truth!" Flooping said card, an orange silo appeared next to a dome-like structure and fired an orange beam at Lincoln's card and even revealing them to Star.

"Hey!" Lincoln yelled as his entire hand was revealed right in front of the princess.

"Pfft, your cards suck dude." Star bluntly said to Lincoln as she looked over his hand. "Hmm, I'll take the cerebral blood storm though." Star then touched the image of said card and the orange beam coming from the silo of truth ceased.

"What the…" Lincoln let out as his cerebral blood storm spell glowed orange and floated right of his hand and right into Stars.

"Okay, now its time to take you down!" Star said confidently as she flooped a creature card in front of her. "I'm attacking my school house with my Husker Knights." Appearing on Star's side of the board were sentient corn knights riding horse made of wheat. "And, I'm casting cerebral blood storm!" Star then put down the card she just stole from Lincoln creating a brain-like cloud above her husker nights that rained down blood. "Alright Lincoln, here I come!"

Lincoln watched as Star's knights and blood storm approached his kingdom. Biting his lip, he looked over what he had and tried to quickly come up with a stradegy. 'My Ancient Scholar and Cool Dog can't stand up to those things. But if I read it correctly then Cerebral Bloodstorm will damage Star's own troops if I don't attack…so maybe…' Lincoln smirked. He had something. "Alright Star, I'm flooping the pig!"

"Uh, what?" Star asked with confusion.

"Ya know, to use." Lincoln stated as he put his hand down on the card of said creature. "Flooping the pig!"

"Ya know you have to activate a creature to make it fight right?" Star asked with a smirk at how much Lincoln's noobness was showing.

"Oh do I? Watch and learn sister!" Lincoln said as he flooped the pig. A little purple pig then appeared on Lincoln's side of the board and quickly started running towards Star's kingdom. Since the pig wasn't attacking, it didn't confront the Husker Knights and walked past them with the corn creatures and Blood Storm stopping.

Star watched as the big went over to the corn stalks on her kingdom…and quickly started eating them all up. "No. He's eating all my cornfield!" Star gasped out as the pig quickly chomped down all of Star's corn. "My Husker Knights draw energy from corn!" As if on que, her Husker Knights became immobilized with a farting sound.

"And since I'm not actually attacking, your Cerebral Bloodstorm only does damage to your own kingdoms troops!" Lincoln pointed out with cheeky grin as a lightning bolt came down upon Star's husker Knights from her own spell.

"You just wiped out my entire attack!" Star said with shock that Lincoln was able to completely destroy her stradegy with just one move.

"What do you expect when all your power units come from corn?" Lincoln asked as he game Star a smirk specifically designed to egg her on. "Pigs eat corn dude. Cornfields stink!"

This comment caused Star to narrow her eyes at Lincoln. "Corn is the crop of Mewni…" Star stated as her hearts changed to gray skulls. "You insult corn…you insult my home and people."

"Well if they plan on attacking me with corn, I think I'll be ok." Lincoln stated, his expression not changing at all.

"Your turn buddy." Star said as she cracked her neck. "But just know, mister nice princess is long gone! This means war!"

"We're already at war but ok!" Lincoln said with a confident smirk as he looked at his own cards again.

"Oh yeah, you're supposed to discard a card and pick up a new one at the start of every turn. Minus the very first turn of course." Star stated as her cheek marks went back to normal.

"Oh right." Lincoln said as he did just that.

"Look at you, your baby warnicorn in the woods." Star stated with a cheeky grin. "Your beginners luck ends this round!"

"Don't believe in luck!" Lincoln stated as he set down a card on the table and proceeded to floop it and another card. Appearing on Lincoln's kingdom was a cave and a tower with an orb at the top.

"Spirit Tower!?" Star yelled as she looked down at the two structures. "And the Cave of Solitude!?"

"Not just that…" Lincoln then flooped another creature card on his side of the board. Appearing alongside his pig, Cool Dog, and Ancient Scholar was a creature that looked like a diamond with arms, legs and face.

"Diamond Dan to?!" Star let out as she looked at the tiny like diamond creature dance around and couldn't help aw at the cute display. "Aaaw, he's doing a little jig."

"Now my battle phase begins." Lincoln said as he rubbed his hands together. "First, I activate my Ancient Scholar. To begin studying." Lincoln flooped his Ancient Scholar and the creature proceeded to walk into the school house. "And then I'm just gonna let Diamond Dan chill out underground for a while." Lincoln then flipped Diamond Dan's card upside down and the creature in response jumped up and spun his body around like a drill and buried himself underground. "And finally, I move my pig to the Cave of Solitude." Lincoln finished his turn by moving the pig card over the Cave of Solitude card, making the pig in game treat inside the structure.

"That's it?" Star asked with confusion. "You're not attacking?"

"I'll attack on a different turn." Lincoln said as he leaned back in his chair, confidence in his voice and expression.

"Ha!" Star laughed as she felt now was her time to bring the game back to her hands. "Then the seas have aligned and the five winds waft the smell of victory to my palace doors!" Star then proceeded to discard a card and grab a new one before casting a spell. "I cast field of nightmares! And activate my legion of Earlings to scare your pig to death!" An ominous yellow mist then covered Star's mostly cornless cornfields before she flooped her Earlings card created two corn ghouls that started jumping around repeatedly saying 'la-la-la-la.'

But Lincoln rose a brow at Star's plan as he pointed out. "But my pigs in the Cave of Solitude?"

"Um…" He was right. She couldn't scare the pig to death if it was locked away inside the cave. "Then I cast teleport! To move you pig to the empty field so I can attack him!" Star quickly tried to think of a way to get her plan to work as she showed off the teleportation spell in her hand to Lincoln.

"Wouldn't teleport just work on your own creatures?" Lincoln questioned as he read the effects of the card Star was showing him.

"…You're right." Star said as she read over the spell herself. That clearly wouldn't work. That pig was the biggest obstacle her kingdom was facing and so far, inside that cave, it was invincible. So, all she could do was point angrily at it and yell. "I'm gonna slay that pig though!"

"How? You don't have creatures that can touch him." Lincoln said with a cocky tone and expression as he crossed his arms behind his head. Star lightly growled at Lincoln as he stated. "Sorry Star, I guess I'm just to cool to handle."

"Hmmm…" Star hummed as she looked over the cards set out in front of her…and gasped as her eyes came across a certain on that she has yet to activate. "You're to cool huh? Then me make things a little hot for ya!" Star then flooped the card she was looking at…and a volcano appeared on Star's kingdom. "I FLOOP THE VOLCANO!"

"What?!" Lincoln yelled, surprised Star would go to such lengths to try and take out his pig. "But that'll destroy your kingdom too won't it?!"

"Hmph, maybe." Star said right as the volcano erupted. "Woah!"

"Ah!" Lincoln yelled as fire balls rained down all across both his and Star's kingdoms. One of which happened to hit the Cave of Solitude, destroying it, and killing the pig. "My pig!" Lincoln said in dread as a tombstone appeared amongst the rubble of the destroyed cave.

"La-la-la-la-AAAAAAHHH!" The Earlings screamed as the lava spread all throughout Star's kingdom, killing them as well.

But Star didn't seem to care as she let out a maniacal laugh as the lava completely destroyed her kingdom other then the swamp area. "Muhahaha! The pig is dead!" Star said with victorious tone before playing a spell card. "Now I reconstitute my cornfield using the reclaim landscape spell!" When Star played the spell, all the damage done to her kingdom disappeared. Her cornfield now back and her buildings restore. The Mewman princess then smirk as she placed a hand over her swamp landscape card. "And I still have my battle phase! Hiding in the Useless Swamp…the Immortal Maze Walker!"

Appearing in the swamp part of Star's kingdom was a creature that was rather big in comparison to the other creatures that have appeared so far resembling a ball of energy with arms and legs and a scary looking face. "I love corn!" The Maze Walker yelled in an intimidating voice that made Lincoln flinch.

"Cornfields give the Immortal Maze Walker triple damage!" Star explained as the Maze Walker lit up a bright red as his face become ferocious as the princess shook her fist at Lincoln with a smirk on her face. "Don't underestimate the power of corn Lincoln! Your Ancient Scholar and Cool Dog won't survive this time!"

Lincoln was starting to fear this might be his doom, but then his Ancient Scholar card lit up and showed him something that turned it all around. "Oh will they now?" Lincoln questioned with a smirk that made Star raise a brow as her Husker Knights and the Immortal Maze Walker approached Lincoln's kingdom. Lincoln's Ancient Scholar then exited the school house and walked towards the destroyed Cave of Solitude. "Well my Ancient Scholar just so happened to learn the Raise the Dead ability!"

"So what?" Star asked, not seeing where this was going.

"So my Ancient Scholar raises the dead." Lincoln stated as the Ancient Scholar send rays of magic out of his hands and towards the tombstone that toped what used to be a cave…bring the pig back to life.

"I floop the pig."

"NOOOOOOOOOO!" Star yelled as Lincoln now revived pig went straight to eating her cornfield again and immobilizing her Husker Knights.

At this point, Lincoln's spirit tower began glowing as it shot raise of energy towards the field. "Hey, my towers doing a thing!" Lincoln said as the energy waves hit Immortal Maze Walker, distorting his form.

"HARMONY! HARMONY! HARMONY!" The Immortal Maze Walker was suddenly teleported over to Lincoln's kingdom, now donning the colors of Lincoln's own creatures.

"My Maze Walker! Noooooooo!" Star yelled dramatically as she planted her face on the table and made a fruitless effort to reach out to her stolen creature. "Come back to me baby please…"

"Apologizes dearest Star but the Immortal Maze Walker is now a loyal solider of Linctopia." Lincoln said with a fancy man accent that just made Star raise her face up and narrow her eyes at Lincoln. "I do believe this is checkmate."

"No its not! Uh, I still have my Wandering Bald Man!" Star stated, making any attempt to try and keep herself from losing…only for the Wandering Bald Man to sing waist deep in the swamp, trapping him in place. "Oh no…"

"Welp, better take out the trash then." Lincoln said with a smirk as he pointed to the trapped Bald Man. "Maze Walker, get em!"

"Kill! Kill! Kill!" Maze Walker said as it walked over to the Useless Swamp and simply stepped on Star's Wandering Bald Man. 50 damage points was done to the Bald Man, killing him instantly causing Star to discard the creature, her eyes shadowed by her hair.

"Well Star, looks like the student has become the master." Lincoln said in a victorious tone while crossing his arms. Winning sure felt great. But…Star then started laughing. "Uh, you ok over there?"

"Oh Lincoln…poor new to the game Lincoln." Star said as a smile crept onto her face as Lincoln was both confused and creeped out. Confused as to why Star was saying that when he obviously had won with Star no longer having any creatures on the field or any to summon and creeped out by her expression. "You really think this is over? Any pro at Card Wars has a contingency plan."

"Wait what?" Lincoln asked with widened eyes as Star placed her hand on the corn castle card with said structure being on the right part of Star's kingdom. What did she mean by contingency plan? Did she have something up her sleeve in case he managed to do something like this?!

"When all his people have fallen or turn traitor can he be summoned…the all might Corn Lord!" Similar to Immortal Maze Walker earlier, Star moved the Corn Castle card away to reveal a creature card! Appearing in front of the Corn Castle, sitting on a throne, was a creature that resembled the Husker Knight but he was wearing cloths fit for a king and a crown.

"All power to corn!" The Corn Lord said with a regal and mighty voice as he rose a corn staff up high, causing all of Star's cornfields to be restored.

"No problem." Lincoln said with a confident smirk, thinking this was still in the bag for him. "I'll just floop the pig again!"

"Oh no you don't mister!" Star as she flooped the Corn Lord. Corn Lord rose his staff again and fired a beam of orange energy at Lincoln's pig and causing an orange glow to radiate off it.

"Oh boy that's not good." Lincoln said with a frown, already sensing this would be trouble for him and his kingdom.

"Your darn right it isn't!" Star said followed by the laughter of a mad women. A giant grin appeared on Star's face as she explained. "Corn Lord prevents you from flooping any creature of my choice. And that's not all…" Just then two cards from Star's deck floated up on their own and into Star's hands. "It also allowed me to draw two cards. O-o-o-oh and I got some good ones!"

Before Lincoln could question anything, Star played one of the cards she just gained down and flooped it immediately. Appearing on Star's kingdom was a giant red creature with a mask and scarecrow hat wielding two scythes. "Alright Field Reaper, work your magic!" Field Reapers eyes glowed as Star flooped its card, raising one of its scythes all of Lincoln's creatures suddenly had a white ball of energy float out of theme as their colors changed to the colors Star's creatures were.

"Mah bois!" Lincoln called out as all of his creatures walked over and joined Star's kingdom.

"You have no creatures left!" Star stated as she stood up on her chair on rapidly pointing at Lincoln. "Victory for Staroria!"

"…You know what Star…you're right." Lincoln said with a calm smile on his face. Star stopped her little victory dance as she tilted her hand at Lincoln. "The best players do always have contingency plan...now let me show you mine!"

Star's eyes widened and her jaw dropped as Lincoln turned a card that had its back side up.

…Diamond Dan.

"Here I am!" Emerging from underground and speaking with a cute sounding voice was Lincoln's Diamond Dan creature that had been hiding underground since Lincoln played him and quickly started doing his happy dance again.

"I…I forgot about him!" Star yelled as she quickly sat back down in her chair, not taking the time to comment about Diamond Dan's cute dance. "Creatures and structure can't hurt Diamond Dan when he's underground! Only spells!"

"Which is exactly why I kept him down there!" Lincoln explained with a smirk on his face. "I knew you would eventually forget about him in time and kept him incase something went wrong and I needed a backup! And it looks like I was right to do that. I floop Diamond Dan!" Lincoln then flooped Diamond Dan's card causing the diamond creature to turn pointy half up and fire a blue beam that went skyward before raining down on Lincoln's deck.

All of Lincoln's card moved on their own as they all floated up and revealed themselves to Lincoln. "Diamond Dan allows me to look into my deck and choose any three none-creature cards and add them to my hand!" Lincoln then looked over his cards and chose the three that would easily gain him the victory.

"First off, I cast Meaning of Loyalty!" Lincoln played one of the spells he took from his deck. Suddenly Star's Cool Dog, Ancient Scholar, and Pig all glowed blue as they changed back to their original colors as they walked back onto Lincoln's kingdom. "That spell allows me to gain back any stolen creature that was originally mine."

"Well I still have Corn Lord, Field Reaper and Immortal Maze Walker!" Star stated as she pointed to the creatures still on her side. "Gotta do better then that Lincoln!"

"Oh I can." Lincoln said as he put down another spell. "Now I cast Creature Lock. That prevents you from putting down any addition creatures for your next turn."

"Grrr…" Star lightly growled, starting to get a little worried again.

"And finally…this…" Lincoln then put down the last card he picked up from his deck. Appearing on Lincoln's kingdom was a blue colored sanctuary that had a statue of a beautiful women holding her hands out.

"No…no! No! No!" Star let out in a fearful tone as she instantly recognized the structure Lincoln put down. "The Goddess Sanctuary…"

"That's right." Lincoln said with narrowed eyes and a grin, feeling Star's fear over the structure he put down. Chuckling, Lincoln proceeded to move Diamond Dan's card right on top of the Goddess Sanctuary card. "Now I sacrifice Diamond Dan to the sanctuary."

Star was now sweating as she watched Diamond Dan walked into the sanctuary. The diamond creature then continued his happy dance inside the structure, but then his eyes turned white as he fell down dead instantly. Due to the sacrifice, the Goddess Sanctuary glowed as a card materialized in the statue of the women's hand. Lincoln was quick to grab it and immediately play it. "I bring forth…The Blue Goddess!"

Appearing on Lincoln's kingdom was a heavenly being that matched the Corn Reaper in size. She wore a regal robe with a jewel on her chest and her hair long and flowing all the way to her feet which were not on the ground as the creature was floating about the ground.

"…Meep." Star let out as she looked at The Blue Goddess. "Um…Mercy?"

Lincoln's only answer was to smirk and the floop the Goddess. The Blue Goddess eyes glowed brightly in response as she brought two of her hands forward and blasted out two beams of blue energy at Corn Lord, Field Reaper, and Immortal Maze Walker. The three creatures could only scream as they were quickly disintegrated and killed. Star could only watch this with a dropped jaw as her kingdom was now creatureless.

"Welp, seeing as how you have no creatures left and my spell keeps you from playing any…" Lincoln began saying as he rested his head on his arm, Thinker style.

"You…You win…" Star finally accepted defeat as she lowered her head and sighed.

"Woohoo!" Lincoln cheered in victory as he quickly stood up from his chair and started spinning around while pointing his fingers in the air. "I'm a Card Wars super Amadeus!"

"Aw man!" Star groaned out as she leaned back in her chair and let herself sink down. But still, despite the loss, she couldn't help but let a smile come to her face at the honest amount of fun she still had playing her favorite game with her best friend. "Well good game Lincoln. I had a lot of fun playing with you. Thanks."

"Yeah, and you were right Star that was super fun!" Lincoln said as he stopped doing his victory dance and looked at Star with a smile. "Definitely more fun then the board games here on earth. Thanks for showing me."

"Anytime!" Star told him with a big smile on her face.

Lincoln's eyes shifted his eyes around Star's room before looking at the Card Wars board again and saying. "Ya know…I don't have anything going on today." Lincoln admitted as Star looked at him with anticipation. "You, uh, wanna go a few more rounds?"

"…You're on!" Star immediately said with a giant grin as Lincoln smiled excitedly and sit back down in his seat. "You won't win this time!"

"We'll see about that!" Lincoln said as the Star reset the board and cards, the two best friends preparing for a day full of Card Wars.

I hope you guys liked what I did with it. I honestly couldn't see Star being like Jake and she's just in it to have fun while still having that competitive edge Star seems to have from time to time. So I don't think she would freak out over a lose and be no more upset then most people are when they lose. Also, I didn't just wanna copy the actual episode exactly so I thought it would be nice.

So with all that said, remember to favorite, follow, and leave a review and stay tuned for...
