Oh boy is this chapter something, hehe. This is an important chapter that is of course gonna have an impact on the rest of the story and I couldn't be more excited for it. Also, once again, thanks to my awesome friend Petrus for proof reading this chapter. He's just to awesome! So we hope you enjoy.

At the Royal Woods Middle School, Oscar Greason could be seen laying down on the hood of his car playing his keytar like he usually does. But suddenly, right in the handicap spot next to him, flames erupted from the ground and from it came an old timey yet demonic looking carriage being pulled by a skeleton unicorn with a flaming mane and tail.

The door to the carriage opened with only one person stepping out of it, with said person having fire around their shoes whenever they took a step forward. Oscar just watched as this figure walked towards the school and said. "Hey, that's a handicap spot." But the figure didn't respond and Oscar simply shrugged and went back to playing his keytar.

The figure then entered the school, each step he took still producing small embers, as most of the students in the hallway stopped and look at him as they passed by. The boy's eye's widening as they wondered who and what the heck this guy is, and the girls staring due to how good looking the figure was. "He's hot…" One of the cheerleaders the figure passed by whispered.

The figure then stepped into one of the classrooms where the one he was looking for was. Stepping out right in front of the middle row of desk, an emo girl looked up at the figure with a blush only for the figure to use pyrokinesis to send the chair, her desk, and herself upwards towards the ceiling revealing behind her was none other than Star Butterfly.

The figure then manipulated the flames under his feet to float himself right in front of the Mewman princess allowing her to see that the figure was none other than…her ex-boyfriend Tom.

Tom was currently wearing a suit and tie as well as glasses made for someone with three eyes like him. But the demon tossed away the sunglasses and gave his ex-girlfriend a sly smirk and held his hand out to her. "Hey Star, I'm here to take you…" Tom then snapped his fingers and created an image of a red crescent moon with his flames. "To the Blood Moon Ball."

"Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope!" Star was now seen in the parking lot angrily dragging Tom towards his carriage, using her wand to open the door, all the while Tom left a stream of flames due to him skidding his feet on the ground as Star dragged him. "You need to leave! So take your dead horse, and your fire, and go back to the underworld!"

"Wait, I'm dead?" The unicorn skeleton asked Tom with a frown as Star pushed Tom into the carriage to where he was sitting in the entrance.

But Tom wasn't about to give up so easily as he manipulated his flames to push Star right into his arms. "Come on Starship, it's the Blood Moon Ball." Tom explained as he hovered in the air while holding Star bridal style. "It only happens once every 667 years."

Star still wasn't amused as she flipped right out of Tom's arms as she looked up and glared at Tom. "We broke up!" Star firmly told him. "Period!"

Star was then about to walk away only for Tom to take her hand and further try to persuade her. "Wait, wait, wait, wait. Star, hang on." Tom said to her as he began telling Star what he's been up to lately. "I'm a changed man, really! I got a life coach, Brian."

"Hey." Stepping out of Tom's carriage was a man with a green shirt, glasses, light brown hair in a pony tail and holding a pink bunny in his hands.

"He's awesome." Tom said with a smile as Brian handed Tom the bunny. "A happy bunny. And, and, I have been anger-free for 53 days." Tom then moved his suit a bit to show Star a pin on his undershirt confirming he had been anger free for that long.

"53?" Star quietly asked in a surprised tone. She was…honestly really impressed by that. So far his record, at least when they were dating, was like…zero days. Which was kind of the reason why they broke up in the first place.

"Don't you wanna pet my bunny?" Tom asked as he held the pink bunny out for Star.

Star's eyes sparkled as she looked at the cute little lagomorph and saw its little nose twitching. "Well, he is adorable." Star admitted as she reached into to pet the precious pink bun-bun when-

"Back off ya creep!"

"AAAAAHHH!" Tom yelled in pain, dropping the bunny, as his foot was runover by a small wheel with Star being dragged away from the demon.

"Jackie?!" Star said in surprise as it was none other then Jackie Lynn Thomas who had came in on her skateboard and took Star away from Tom and had run over Tom's foot with her skateboard.

Jackie then came to a stop as she looked quickly looked over Star with concern. "Are you ok Star?" Jackie asked as Star blushed at how much Jackie was looking over her body. "That creep didn't touch you anywhere bad, did he?"

"N-N-No!" Star quickly reassured Jackie as she took a step away from the platinum blond with her face now completely red from Jackie's question. "I-I'm fine…"

"Ok good." Jackie let out a sigh of relief as she gave her usual calm smile to Star. "I just saw this demon kid harassing you and couldn't just leave ya there ya know?"

"Grrrrr…" Before Star could respond, the sound of demonic growling got their attention as they looked and flinch to see Tom gritting his sharp teeth and looking at Jackie with glowing eyes.

"Uh-oh." Star let out as Brian quickly exited the carriage and went to Tom's side.

"Walk it out and talk it out. Walk it out and talk it out. Walk it out and talk it out." Brian repeatedly said as he took Tom's arms and started walking with him in circles to get the demon to calm down.

"We should get out of here…" Star told Jackie as she took the girls hand and was ready to get the skateboarder out of the way of her ex-boyfriends wrath.

"No! No! Oh…" Tom quickly said to get his ex from leaving as his eyes slowly went back to normal thanks to Brain. "Its ok! Ooooh, that's why I got my support system. I'm good. Got the angries out!" Tom then went to pick up his pink bunny and started rapidly petting it while taking deep breathes. "Everything is…hoo…under control." When Tom ceased his petting, the bunny's fur poofed out due to how aggressive the demon's petting was.

"Star! I heard something going on out here! Is everything ok!" Now coming onto the scene was Lincoln as he quickly ran towards both Star and Jackie, ready to fight in case it was another monster attack. But instead he saw Tom and came to halt right next to the two girls. "Woah! Who is-"

"Both of you, calm down." Star said with a sigh as she put an arm in front of both Jackie and Lincoln to keep them from provoking Tom further. "This is…my ex-boyfriend Tom."

"Ooooooh." Lincoln let out in realization as he dropped any thoughts of fighting the guy. "So this is the guy you told me about."

"You used to date a demon?" Jackie asked with a surprised tone before turning to Star with a smirk and lightly punching her shoulder. "Hardcore girl."

"Hehe, thanks." Star giggled out as a small amount of pink came to her cheeks.

"Uh, nice to meet you uh…" Tom awkwardly greeted as he walked up to the two humans and held his arm out.

"Lincoln Loud." Lincoln greeted with a friendly tone as he shook Tom hands, the demon smiling at the white-haired boy's attitude while also raising one of his three eyebrows at Lincoln's black arm and hand. "Nice to meet you Tom."

"Jackie." Jackie said while crossing her arms and narrowing her eyes at Tom. This came as a surprised to Lincoln and Star as Jackie was normally so calm, cool, and friendly with others so seeing her treat Tom like this was quite the odd sight. However Lincoln knew Jackie long enough to know she acted like this to people she didn't really trust so he could assume that Jackie wasn't exactly to trusting of Tom right now. "So what is he even doing here?"

"He wants to take me to the Blood Moon Ball." Star quietly explained to her two friends while looking downward.

"What?!" Jackie gasped out with widened eyes as she looked Star right in the eye. "Star, trust me, you shouldn't go with guys like this to a second location. Its just asking for trouble."

"Look, I can see that your mad." Tom said in an oddly mature and understanding tone. "You think I'm a total jerk. But I really have changed and I worked hard for it. Remember, I'm not the only one with horns."

Tom then pointed to Star's devil horn head band, but Jackie was quick to walk next to Star and defend her if needed. "Well I still don't think you should go with this guy Star. I don't trust him." Jackie said in a firm tone that was mostly foreign to the usually calm and collected skateboarder before she turned to the Loud boy. "Back me up here Lincoln."

Lincoln hummed in thought as he looked down for a moment before looking to Tom. "Tom, do you think I could speak to you privately please? Guy to guy?" Lincoln asked the demon who awkwardly shifted his three eyes around in response.

"Uh, yeah." Tom said with a nod. "Sure man." Tom then lead Lincoln to right behind his carriage so that it was just him and Lincoln next to each other. "So what did you wanna talk about?"

"Why didn't you tell me I'm dead?" Before Lincoln could speak up, the unicorn skeleton spoke up again looking at Tom with a look as if he just found out something about himself that Tom had kept secret.

Lincoln looked at the dead unicorn with an awkward expression before looking at Tom again. "Anyway…" Lincoln said before clearing his throat and asking. "So tell me Tom, what exactly are your intentions with Star during this Blood Moon Ball?"

"M-My intentions with her?" Tom stuttered a bit as his cheeks went pink. "What do you mean by that?"

"Look Tom, at this point, Star is like family to me. Practically my sister. And I know what having a sister is like considering I have ten." Lincoln explained to Tom who's three eyes widened at learning the number of sisters this one boy has.

"Dude…" Tom said in complete shock. "How are you sane?"

"I wonder that myself sometimes." Lincoln sighed out, knowing that despite how much he loves his sisters they can drive him completely crazy sometimes. "But back to the point, and in having so many sisters there have also been plenty of times where a few of them end up dating guys who end up being nothings but total wads. You get what I'm saying?"

"Yeah…I do." Tom sighed out as he looked down. "Look, I won't lie. I messed up badly with Star the first time we were dating and she broke up with me for a perfectly legitimate reason. I hurt her and ticked her off so she has all the right to be angry with me." Lincoln nodded in understanding, liking Tom's honesty. "But I mean when I say this, I really do care about her and I wanna make things right. I want another chance and I've been working hard to earn it. I've been taking anger management; I got a real support system and exercise's I do. I wanna become someone Star deserves. I really do."

Lincoln simply stayed quiet, taking in all of Tom's words before giving an approving nod. "Alright, I believe you." Lincoln said to Tom with a small smile, surprising the demon quite a bit.

"Really?" Tom asked, not expecting that response from Lincoln.

"Yeah man. I can tell you're sincere." Lincoln said to Tom as he put a hand on the demon's shoulder. "Let me just give ya some advice. Just make sure to show Star a good time. Make sure she's having fun and if there's something she doesn't wanna do, don't pressure or try to force her into doing it. Maybe find a compromise."

"Heh, thanks Lincoln." Tom said to the Loud boy with a small smile on his face. "I really appreciate that. I'm honestly surprised you're cool with this."

"Well I just want what's best for Star." Lincoln explained to Tom as he looked into two of the demon's eyes. "And I can see that you also want that and want to make her happy. And its also nice to see you're trying to better yourself. Not a lot of people do that. So just make sure she stays happy and if you end up making her happy in the end…well then there ya go." Tom didn't say anything in response, rather surprised at Lincoln's words, and simply gave the Loud boy a small but thankful smile. "Now come on, just do what you gotta do."

"That's the plan." Tom said confidently as he adjusted his suit and the two boys went back to where the girls were waiting.

Tom then proceeded to walk up to Star and reach into his pocket as Jackie walked next to Lincoln and whispered to him. "So what did you say to him?" Jackie asked, hoping Lincoln gave the demon some words and incentive to get Tom to stay away from the princess.

"I just said what I had to." Lincoln vaguely replied, making Jackie cutely pout at him.

"Look Star, no pressure. If you decide you wanna go, just ring this bell with this hammer." Tom said as she handed Star a little black bell and mallet. The demon then stepped inside his carriage and said one last thing to Star. "I hope to see you there."

Star simply looked at the tiny bell and mallet in her hand with a thoughtful expression.

LATER THAT NIGHT

The sun was now beginning to set over Royal Woods Michigan, and currently in the Loud House, Star was getting ready for a certain event as she looked through a selection of dresses she magiced up with her wand and was trying to decided on one to wear…to the Blood Moon Ball.

"So I take it your going?" Star jumped a bit in surprised as she looked to see Lincoln's head pop up through the entrance to her room.

"Yep! Could be fun!" Star said, after getting over her little scare, as she finally picked out a red dress and went over to her mirror. "Wait…you're not gonna try and stop me right?"

"Nope, not at all." Lincoln said as he turned away from Star, thinking she was about to change. Star was, but she pressed a button on her mirror causing it to fold and flip out into a changing station. "If you wanna go that's your decision to make and I trust you."

"Wow really? Thanks Lincoln!" Star said, glad that her best friend was trusting her to go off on this demon ball. "I at least just wanna see how it is. I've never actually been to a demon party before!"

"Well make sure to take pictures for Lucy." Lincoln said as both he and Star chuckled at the comment, knowing that Lucy and most likely Janna would be super jealous over Star going to a ball in the underworld with a bunch of demons. "And look, I do trust you. But I still wanna warn you to be careful ok? I do think Tom is making a legitimate effort to change and better himself, but I still do think you should be a little careful around him. Just incase he is planning something sneaky."

"Don't worry Lincoln I'll be fin-AAAAAAAAAAHHH!" Star screamed from behind the changing station with a beam of magic coming up from it.

"Are you ok?" Lincoln immediately asked as he heard both her scream and the magic coming out of her wand.

"Yeeeeeah…" Star slowly let out in a daze. "Totally, totally, totally. I just gotta stop using magic on…on…on my face…"

"Probably smart." Lincoln said with a chuckle as he fully came into Star's room, still looking away from where Star's changing station was.

"Anyway…" Star said after slapping her cheeks a few times to snap out of her little daze. "I promise I'll be fine Lincoln. I'm a big girl and I can handle myself."

"Yeah I know." Lincoln said with the roll of his eyes and a smile. "You know those are my brother instincts talking and they can't help but worry about you."

"Hehehe, yeah I know." Star giggled out as she gave a wide grin. She and Lincoln really had developed a sibling bond huh? She almost thought Lincoln wouldn't want another sister in his life but she was glad she was wrong. "So…how do I look?"

Lincoln then turned around to look at Star and saw the princess wearing a sleeveless red and pink cocktail dress off the right shoulder with hearts around the skirt, a white bow with a heart in the middle tied around the waist and a heart on the left shoulder, a pink trim on the bottom of the skirt, long white gloves, and high heel boots with hearts on the bottoms and sides. Her hair was done up in a big top knot with curls hanging over her ears. "Wow…" Lincoln let out as Star giggled and twirled around. "I think you're ready!"

"Aaaw, thanks Lincoln!" Star said as she went up to her best friend to give him a quick hug before going over to her nightstand where she had set down the little bell and mallet. Picking them up, Star proceeded to hit the mallet with the bell and despite the size, the sound created was similar to a heavy gong that shook the room they were in.

Suddenly a pillar of fire sprout up from Star's window as a demon trapped in pillory flew up carrying a black elevator car which proceeded to ding and open up. "Mmm. Smells like burnt toast." Star commented with a smile before walking inside the elevator. "Let's get this show on the road!"

"Which floor mortal?" The demon carrying the elevator asked the Mewman.

"Um, I guess the bottom." Star said, thinking that that's where the underworld and by extension the Blood Moon Ball would be.

"See ya Star!" Lincoln waved off the princess. "Have fun!"

"Bye Lincoln! I will!" Star waved Lincoln off as well as the demon started flying the elevator down towards a giant crack that had appeared next to the house where the demon had flown up from. "Bloooood Mooooon Baaaaall. Oooooh..." Star said the last part in a spooky voice before she and the elevator she was in disappeared from sight.

Another pillar of fire emerged from out the window and looked down to see the crack in the ground was gone and the only trace that it was there was some burnt grass and slightly cracked ground. Once he knew Star was gone, Lincoln's face turned a bit serious as he went over to Star's bed. Reaching under it, Lincoln pulled out Star's book of spells and looked down at it. "Hey Glossaryck? I need to ask you something please, its important."

The spell book then opened up on its own as the pages turned and turned until they stopped with Glossaryck floating out and looking at Lincoln. "Ah Lincoln my boy, what seems to be the issue?" Glossaryck asked with Lincoln seeing that Glossaryck was now wearing a baby blue robe with white highlights.

"Well first off I see you got a new robe." Lincoln commented as Glossaryck nodded.

"Ah yes, your sister Leni made this for me just like she promised!" Glossaryck explained to the Loud boy as he rubbed the robe with his hands. "Its so much softer and more breathable then my old robe. And look, it even has a pocket for my pudding!" Glossaryck then reached inside his pocket and pulled out a whole pudding cup from the tiny pocket somehow. "She thought of everything!"

"Heh, well Leni was always good with stuff like that." Lincoln told the little blue man with a smile. If there was one thing Leni was good at, it was making cloths that would both look good on someone, and have some practical purpose.

"But back to the matter at hand." Glossaryck said as he opened up his pudding cup and simply used his hands to scoop the chocolate goop into his mouth. "You wanted to ask me something?"

"Well yeah, ya see…somethings been going on with Star lately." Lincoln explained, about to ask Glossaryck something that's stuck with him ever since it happened and he was determined to get to the bottom of it. "See, she's been glowing…purple."

"Hmmm…" Glossaryck hummed as he scooped more pudding into his mouth. "Glowing purple you say?"

"Yeah and it's got me pretty concerned." Lincoln further elaborated with a frown on his face. "It first happened when she was explaining some…complicated issues with her mom. And she really started freaking out when it happened and I also think it affected her magic somehow. Do you have any idea whats up?"

Glossaryck didn't respond at first. Instead he simply put his pudding down on the book, closed his eyes and entered lotus position. Lincoln simply looked awkwardly around the room as Glossaryck stayed completely silent. But right as Lincoln was about to say something, Glossaryck opened his eyes with them now glowing white and his gem shining brightly. "HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Glossaryck yelled out as a twister of magic energy swirling around him, blowing Lincoln back a bit causing him to stand his ground and shaking the room they were in.

Finally, after a few moments, it came to a stop as the magic twister disappeared as Glossaryck's eyes went back to normal and his gem stopped glowing. "After much searching and gathering, I can safely say…" Glossaryck begun as Lincoln looked at the little blue man, ready to hear everything Glossaryck had to say. "That I have absolutely no idea."

"WHAT?!" Lincoln yelled out as he got right in front of Glossaryck. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU HAVE NO IDEA?!"

"Could you not yell please, its kinda annoying." Glossaryck told the Loud boy who huffed, but nodded, in response. "And its like I said kid, I honestly have no idea. None of Star's ancestors ever glowed purple. Nothing like this has happened before and therefor I have no information on the matter."

"Great…back to square one." Lincoln sighed out as he ran a hand through his face. "Do you at least have any advice for me?"

"Hmm, if I had to recommend something, I would say see what triggers it." Glossaryck recommended as he went back to eating his pudding. "Find out why she ends up glowing, see what exactly happens while she's glowing as well as a way to reel her in and calm her down."

"Yeah…I guess learning all that stuff would be useful." Lincoln sighed as he stood up and looked down at Glossaryck. "Well thanks anyway Glossaryck."

"Tell your sister thank you for the robe." Glossaryck asked Lincoln as he floated down towards the book and closed it back up.

With Star, the elevator finally come to a stop and Star exited the box and found herself in the underworld. "Wow…" Star let out as she took a look around at her surroundings and saw many torches lit up with blood red fire, blood red jewels shaped like Crescent moons and other impressive demonic decorations.

And waiting for Star as she exited the elevator was none other then Tom Lucitor who was currently wearing a fancy white suit with a red bow tie. "Star Butterfly." Tom greeted as he looked over the dress Star was wearing. "You clean up nice!"

"Uh, thank you…I guess." Star said a little awkwardly as Tom suddenly held a large spider out to her.

"I got you this." Tom said as Star flinched and backed away from the arachnid that had horns on its abdomen.

"What is it?" Star asked in a creeped-out tone.

"It's a hair thing. You put it in your hair." Tom explained as he went in to try and put it on Star's head with the princess quickly backing up before that could be done. "It'll help you fit in down here."

"Oh, how sweet Tom…" Star said, trying to sound sweet and not show how disgusted she was at the gesture. "But yeah, I kinda got my own thing going on here. I'm pretty happy with it. Let's go have fun now." Star then quickly walked past Tom and headed towards where she could assume the entrance of the ball was as Tom groaned angrily.

"You can be positive that your anger is negative." Brian said as he came up to Tom while holding the pink bunny out to him.

Tom then smiles and pats the bunny as he says. "You're right. You're right." Tom then remembers what Lincoln told him earlier that day, about not forcing Star to do something she didn't want to. "He's right. Just gotta focus on Star having a good time."

Back on earth, Lynn could currently be seen hanging out on the couch watching tv. She was currently wearing a jersey with the logo of the Michigan Wolverine's basket ball team. "Come on! Come on! Go for the slam dunk!" Lynn cheered as she watched the action happen.

KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!

"Ugh, can someone get that?!" Lynn called out to as she didn't want to stop watching the game for any reason. However, none of her siblings answered. She knew Lincoln was in the kitchen but he was currently cooking something and couldn't reach to it. "Grrr, if they end up losing tonight because I had to get the door someone is going to get it." Lynn growled as she was forced to get up an avert her eyes from the tv and game open the door.

"Hey Lynn." It was Jackie who had come over to the Loud House and was greeted by a grumpy looking Lynn. "Sorry for coming over so late but something happened at school today and I wanted to make sure Star was doing ok."

"Oh yeah, that crazy demon dude wanting to ask Star on a date or something?" Lynn asked, remembering she heard some vague details about the matter. And by heard she meant she heard Star and Lincoln talking about it earlier. Not exactly easy to keep a secret in this house. "Yeah that was weird. Anyway I haven't seen Star for awhile but Stincoln's in the kitchen. Now if you excuse me, I gotta a basketball game to watch."

"Sounds good. Thanks Lynn." Jackie said as she entered the house and closed the door behind her as Lynn quickly jumped back onto the couch, eager to continue watching the game. Jackie's been around the house before so she knew which way to the kitchen, and once inside said room she saw Lincoln stirring something in a pot. "Hey Lincoln, what's cooking?"

"Woah Jackie?" Lincoln let out in surprise as he turned around to see the skateboarder leaning against the doorway. "Well this is certainly unexpected. What's up?"

"I just wanted to see how Star was doing after the whole thing with that demon guy." Jackie explained to Lincoln whose eyes widened in response. Welp, something told him Jackie would soon be pretty unhappy. "Can I assume she's chilling in her room."

"Uuuum…not exactly." Lincoln slowly said while shaking his head causing Jackie to raise an eyebrow in response. "Star…kinda…went to the ball."

"What?!" Jackie yelled out making Lincoln flinch as she walked up to him with a frown on her face. "Why didn't you stop her?!"

"She wouldn't have listened to me if I tried anyway and you know that." Lincoln said in his defense. Jackie couldn't help but agree. Star was a free spirit in every sense of the word and rarely listened to anyone. "Plus, this was her choice to make and we should trust her on this sorta stuff." Lincoln then turned away from Jackie and started stirring what was in the pot again. "Look, I get that you're worried about her but look at it like this. Star either ends up having a fun night and maybe connects with Tom a little, or she uses this as learning experience if it doesn't work out. She'll grow either way and we just have to sit back and let it happen. Ok Jackie?"

No response.

"Jackie?" Lincoln turned around and saw that the girl was no longer in the room with him. "Oh boy."

With Jackie, the platinum blond had quickly ran up the stairs of the Loud House and climbed right up into Star's room. She looked around for a bit to make absolute sure that the Mewman princess was gone. "Why Star…" Jackie just had a bad feeling about this. A bad feeling about Tom, about this Blood Moon which was currently shining over the night sky, and just about Star being alone with him.

She didn't like it at all.

She didn't know why; it was just a feeling. And when Jackie had hunches like this, she knew she had to act. So suddenly the platinum blondes' eyes ended up falling upon the little bell and hammer she saw Tom give Star. Knowing that was her ticket to the underworld, she quickly swiped them before heading back downstairs.

Once she was back in the hallway, Jackie quickly made her way to and opened up the door to Leni's room. Thankfully said girl was there and was texting on her phone. The 19-year-old looked at Jackie with a confused expression, about to ask why she was here, but Jackie quickly spoke up. "Leni, I need an emergency ball gown and mask, asap!"

Leni's eyes widened as she quickly stood up, reached under Lori's old bed and pulled out a large suitcase. Opening it up, it showed itself to contain plenty of ballgowns and masquerade ball mask. "Do you want something frilly? Or something sparkly?" Leni asked as Jackie looked inside.

Back down in the underworld, Star was currently hanging out by the punch bowl watching a skeleton fish she had named Henry swim and jump around in the bowl. Honestly, Star couldn't say she was having fun. Just a lot of the stuff going on here wasn't her thing at least, or greatly disturbed her at most. Heck, about five minutes ago Tom tried to get his picture taken with her while being covered in unicorn blood that would be dumped on them.

Needless to say, Star just needed a break from it all and did the typical thing people at parties do when they don't wanna be social. Hang out by the punch bowl.

"You must be Tom's date." Getting Star's attention, the princess looked back to see two demons in front of her. One demon was short and stubby and lacked a midsection, and the other one had blue skin and looked rather buff but had a small head.

"I guess I am." Star answered with a shrug.

"Well, I hope you're happy." The demon said with an irritated tone as he pointed and glared at Star. "He made this whole entire ball completely boring, all for you."

"I wouldn't say it's boring." Star nervously said. Greatly disturbing would be the words Star would use.

"Oh really? Aloof attractive people. Boring!" The stubby demon said while pointing at a demon couple, both of which were rather good looking. "Bubbling cauldrons that don't even melt your flesh off. What is it, nap time or something? 'Cause I'm bored!" He then suddenly emerged from the punch bowl once Star took his eyes off him. "Piece of garbage that doesn't destroy the universe. Stupid cockroach that lives inside. I'm over it already" He then pointed to a tin can on the ground with a cockroach living inside before walking away in a huff.

Star simply sighed with a sadden expression on her face. Looks like her being here was also ruining other demons' fun as well. Just perfect. "Woah, I didn't know Mewmans could glow." Star's eyes snapped open as the small headed demon spoke up.

The princess then quickly looked over her body…and saw she was glowing purple. "Oh no! No! No! No! Not now!" Star then remembered some breathing exercises Lincoln taught her and quickly tried to calm herself down. Thankfully that did the trick as she stopped glowing and went back to normal. "Oh thank goodness…"

"Wanna dance?" After seeing the display, the small headed demon held his hand out and offered to dance with the Mewman princess.

Before the 14-year-old could respond, Tom suddenly came between, coming down from the air, and gave the small headed demon a stern look. "Her dance card's full." Tom said firmly.

"Oh, I get it." The small headed demon said with a smirk as he held up both of hands "I bet you think that, like, your soul and, like, her soul are totally gonna...mmmmmm!" The small headed demon then brought his hands together for emphasize.

"What is... mmmmmm?" Star asked, mimicking the gestures the small headed demon just made.

Before Tom could answer, a red demon in a judge's outfit, complete with powdered wig, got everyone's attention as he spoke into a microphone attached to the stand in front of him "Ahem. Good evening, ladies and gentlebremen." The demon said as everyone at the ball looked up at him. "It is my pleasure that I request you now to turn your heads skyward." Everyone looked up as a hand-shaped sky-light opened up in the middle of the ceiling in the shape of a crescent moon. "When the light of the blood moon drubbles down and selects two lucky souls, binding them together for eternity in its hypnotic, ruby brodum."

"Whooooaaa…" Star let out mesmerized as blood red light filled in the skylight, but hadn't shined down on the party.

Just then eerie organ music began to play causing Tom to groan. "Ugh! That's the wrong piece of music!" Tom said as he took a deep breath. "This is gonna drive me crazy. Alright, don't go anywhere. I'll be right back."

"Okay." Star let out, still in a bit of a trance. And once Tom was gone Star begun to aimlessly wander around the ball.

"Star…"

Star continued wandering around aimlessly. Her eyes never leaving the sky light above.

"Star! Star!"

Suddenly Star felt someone grab her hand and pull her towards them. Suddenly Star was in the arms, in a dancing position no less, with a fellow girl wearing a sparkly sea foam green dress wearing a seafoam green mask with an ocean theme such as facing starfish, shells, and sand dollar patterns around the rim of the mask. The two girls ended up looking into each other's eyes.

Right as this happened, a blood red spotlight shone down at the two from the skylight. Every demon at the party gasped as all eyes locked upon the two. The two girls looked at each other again as the girl in seafoam green suddenly started dancing around with Star. Star was taken off guard at first as the girl in her arms danced around with her expertly through the ball room with the demons clearing the way for the two to dance.

Star simply went along with the dance as she continued staring into the girl's eyes, her own eyes sparkling as the hearts on her cheeks glowed red as her actual hearts beating sped up. The mewman princess also got a feeling in her stomach which felt weird…but also…good. It all felt…right for reasons she couldn't explain.

"Star." The girl dancing with the princess said in a sing song voice.

"How do you know my name?" Star asked in a dreamy tone.

Just then the girl lifted up her mask to reveal herself to be none other then Jackie. "Star its me. Jackie!" Jackie informed Star before putting her mask back on.

"Jackie?!" Star quickly snapped out of her daze, but still keeping that weird feeling as she found herself dancing with someone she turned out to knew. "What are you doing here?"

"Let's get out of here." Jackie told Star as she looked around the room they were in. "This place gives me the creeps."

Just then Jackie was pushed out of Star's arms aggressively, hitting the floor and making the girl grunt in response to the bit of pain she felt. The pusher was none other then Tom who glared angrily at Jackie. But after Tom did this, suddenly the skylight began to close, blood moon light no longer filling the room.

Tom then looked back down at Jackie, who was rubbing the arm she fell on, and his eyes slowly started to glow red. "That dance…was meant…FOR ME!" Tom roared the last part out, his voice becoming distorted and demonic as pillars of red fire sprouted up all over the ball room.

Brain quickly ran over to Tom to try and calm him down, only for the demon to push his life coach away as he stared at Jackie with a look that could kill. Jackie tried to back away from the demon as Tom started to float in the air…only to suddenly be frozen in a block of ice.

Star looked at the frozen Tom with an unamused glare, her and her wand being the reason the demon was now on ice. Star then fired a small beam of magic at her frozen ex making a 'Anger Free for 0 days' button appear on the ice. "Come on Jackie. Lets go." Star said, not even looking at Jackie as she said that, as the princess headed towards the exit.

Back on earth, the demon carrying the elevator flew up to the window of Star's loft, the door opening showing Star and Jackie inside with Star carrying her shoes. "Thanks for the lift." Star said to the demon with a smile before walking into her room angrily. "Ugh! So infuriating."

"I tried to tell you Star." Jackie said to the princess as she jumped out of the elevator with it vanishing into a stream of fire. "That guy was nothing but a creep."

Star growled in response. Jackie really didn't see it did she. Star then snapped towards Jackie, glaring right into her eyes as the platinum blond witnessed as Star suddenly started to glow purple with her cheek hearts becoming shattered. "No Jackie! You! You're infuriating!" Star yelled at the skateboarder.

"Wha-Me?" Jackie was taken aback by Star's words, not bringing up how Star was glowing right now.

"I just…I can't believe you did that!" Star continued yelling causing Jackie to frown herself. "You just followed after me! What the heck?!"

"Hey I was just trying to help!" Jackie tried to reason why she did what she did.

"I didn't need your help!" Star told Jackie as her glowing intensified, the floor under her beginning to crack a little bit. "I can perfectly handle myself and you…you're just treating me like a baby!"

"Well I'm sorry for caring about you!" Jackie yelled back at Star, a bit at a lower volume.

Star froze.

"Wha…what?" Star asked as she stopped glowing and returned to normal. "You…care about me?"

"Well…yeah." Jackie said as her cheeks turned a light pink color. Jackie then leaned on the railing outside with Star slowly walking next to Jackie and looking at the night sky above. Jackie sighed as she spoke up again. "Look…I'm sorry for ruining your night like that. You're right. I should have trusted you to handle yourself. But still, I couldn't help but worry ya know? You're a special girl Star and I don't think Tom deserves you."

Star's cheeks quickly turned red. That feeling in her stomach she got while she and Jackie were dancing returning in full force. "You…You really mean that."

"Of course!" Jackie laughed a bit as she gave Star one of her cool smiles. "You're an awesome, fun, and strong magical princess. You deserve someone just as great as you."

"Wow…thanks Jackie." Star said with a small and thoughtful smile on her face as she put a hand to her heart, feeling how fast it was beating. Her eyes then moved towards Jackie as she said. "And well…the night wasn't a total disaster. Least now I know you can dance!"

"Haha, yeah." Jackie chuckled as the pink on her cheeks became more noticeable. "Just one of my hidden talents I guess."

Both girls ended up chuckling as they looked at each other. "So you wanna hang-" Both stopped as they suddenly found themselves talking in unison. "Whoa! We both said-" They continued talking at the same time. "The same thing…Okay, stop that!" Both girls then covered their mouths and jumped away from each other, a bit spooked out at them saying the exact same thing at the exact same time. Almost as if they were connected.

Star then pointed her wand right at Jackie…and the two started laughing together and smiling. "Well that was new." Star chuckled.

"Yeah, weird." Jackie laughed as she scratched the back of her head. "So hey…its kinda late. Mind if I crash with you for the night?"

Star laughed some more and nodded in response. "Come on." Star said as she grabbed Jackie's wrist, both girls cheeks going pink from this, as she started dragging Jackie in her room. "I'll magic you up a bed."

All the while blood moon light shined down on the two girls.
