AN: I do not own The Lost Boys.

Chapter 11- Everlasting

Two weeks had past since Edgar had shown himself to Samara. It was like he and Father Van Helsing had disappeared from existence. But David and the boys were not relaxing; especially now that Max had revealed a part of his hand by confronting Samara. David was livid was mild to say the least to how he really felt. He was ready for blood. Samara had offered hers to calm his blood lust down. It had worked well. Well enough that it had brought on a different kind of lust. One that Samara was not just ready yet to provide. David was patient with her. He did not push her to go any further than she had been comfortable with. And Samara fell even harder for him then. The sweet protectiveness he had shown and the gentle care he had provided her tugged at her heart. And it seemed all the boys had taken David's example in stride.

It was Cass and Samara's night to close at the Café. Since they were living upstairs Mr. Jerome had took both girls under his wings and had shown them everything they needed to know about closing down and to get the starters done for the next day. It had been a moderately busy day and the girls were glad to see the day end.

"I got the dough rising. Did you get the windows covered?" Cass asked Sam.

Sam turned to the windows and pull the cord for the left window and the blinds fell. She did the same to the door and looked up at the brightly shining moon that was beginning to eclipse. Her hearing disappeared. Her pupils dilated and her body locked. Her mind blanked as her body moved of its own accord. Sam unlatched the door and opened it causing the bell to tinkle. Cass heard and moved to look at the door. She saw Sam walk out. Cass dropped the towel she had been drying her hands on and ran after her, locking the door behind her. Sam moved surprisingly fast but Cass kept up as fast as she could.

"Sam!" Cass yelled after her.

Samara kept moving as if her name had not been yelled. Cass's yells caught the attention of the boys. David suddenly appeared by Sam and Cass stopped running after her as Dwayne came to her side. He held her arm as she caught her breath and hurriedly told him and the others what was going on. How Sam had been just fine and then suddenly it was like her body was in robot mode. Dwayne told her that was how herself had acted when her Siren came to the surface. The group followed after David and Sam to protect them incase Edgar and Father Abraham showed themselves.

David said nothing as he followed "robot" Samara. She was walking with a purpose; staring up at the eclipsing moon. David suspected then that the different phases of the moon were what brought on the siren changes. He could only guess that since they were not born sirens that the moon played a larger part in their transition. Just as there were different vampires, there were different sirens. In his long life he had learned one thing; there was not just one type of anything. All myths had a base of truth.

As he followed her, her silent sentient, he could feel and hear his brother's and sisters follow behind them at a distance. They all followed as she made her way around to the Lagoon. The moon was almost eclipsed as Sam broke the tree line at the edge of the water. Without missing a beat she stripped her clothes from her body and dove into the dark water as the moon fully eclipsed. The entire area suddenly became ink. Even the vampires could not see. Then there was a light. It was in the shape of a female body with a mermaid tail. It was like they were watching an outline of Samara. She thrashed and held her head like it was in pain. Then she broke the surface of the water. Within the moment the light returned. Light itself emanated from her body.

David watched her as she came towards the shore. She felt different. Not quite Samara. Yet was still Samara. Michelle moved forward holding her clothes. Samara's eyes never left David's.

"Samara?" Michelle asked holding her clothes out to her.

Samara looked at her and cocked her head, "Mirena."

David was stock still. Samara/Mirena looked at him. A sad smile came to her face and tears escaped her eyes. There was pain and sorrow and yet a spark of happiness in her eyes.

"Vlad? Ingeras grew up?" She asked.

"Yes, my love. He grew to be a magnificent king and man. He had many children. And they grew up to be wonderful people and so on." He answered her and held her naked body close.

"Samara is a wonderful young woman. I am glad that she is my reincarnation." Mirena said to him.

"Oh Mirena." he answered with a heartbroken smile.

"My Vlad, do not worry. Samara now knows everything. Isabell and I will both help her now that we can meld with her. She, I, we will all be one. Break free Vlad. Be the Impaler I know you are." Mirena explained and brought her lips up to take David's in a light kiss.

He accepted her kiss with enthusiasm. The love he held for all three women of his soul and heart was in that kiss. He loved each of them dearly and truly. Differently and yet the same. He felt the change when Mirena gave up Samara's body. It was Isabell now. He pulled back.

"Oh, my Alexander. My love." a light Spanish lilt left her lips.

"Isa." he greeted her.

Isabell hugged David to her so tight. She had missed him. They had not been able to be together for very long but it had been a lifetime worth for her. The true love of a man that she loved meant the world to her. Even if had been such a short time. Her life had been made golden by his love and she would never regret the time they had loved each other.

"I failed you." David said to her falling to his knees before her.

"No. Never. You did everything that you could to save me. You almost died to save me." she denied and came down to his level.

The other's watched on and heard more about David they had never known. The boys hurt for their brother and the devastation that he had lived through. The girls all cried for the injustice that Samara and David had went through for hundreds of years. It just was not fair and now they had Edgar and Father Abraham trying to harm their love. Theirs was a love story so tragic that Shakespeare would have been ashamed to have created Romeo and Juliet as a love story.

"I forgive you my love." Isabell's voice sounded.

David broke down then. Isabell kissed him, whispering between kisses how much she loved him and then with a final kiss she was gone. Now the body was all Samara's once again. When Samara came to she was kissing David. David pulled away from her when he felt the change over. She had a look of concern on her face. She kissed his tears away then.

"My love." he called her and held her clothes out to her.

Sam's eyes widened and looked around. She realized that she was naked and everyone was around them. And she also noticed that she was so thirsty. Her throat burned so bad. Like acid was eating her throat. Quickly she pulled her clothes back on with David shielding her with his trench coat. When clothed she brought attention to her burning throat.

"You need blood." Dwayne voiced remembering Cass's moon turn.

"Ew." Sam said with a grimace.

David pulled her around. Dwayne ushered everyone else away. Pulling her close, David bared his neck to her. Telling her it was all about instinct and she would know exactly what to do. He sliced into the side of his neck and saw the change in her eyes. The sea blue of Sam's eyes shifted to a bright yellow color and the siren was before him. She gently kitten licked the wound. Even the siren knew that David was it's mate. Just as David healed up he pulled her away from him and looked her in the yellow eyes of the siren.

"Do it." he said.

The siren hesitated and then nuzzled his neck. She suckled and kissed his neck. Those turned to nips and then she bite into his jugular vein. A moan left him as his blood coated her mouth and rushed down her throat. The burn subsided in her throat and a different burn invaded her lower abdomen. She didn't need much. Sirens could got months, even years without sustenance. Since Sam was still in transition she needed the blood right now. He gladly provided it to her. The siren loved him. She would never hurt him. And now that the blood was within her the siren would return to her slumber until the moon awoke her again.

"Goodbye for now, love." a crystalline voice left Sam's smiling lips.

The yellow eyes disappeared and left confused sea blue in their wake. Sam looked up at him; her expression asking him what had happened. He sighed and explained what had went on. She blushed and apologized that she had bit him. He teased her that he liked it. Sam's pale cheeks turned red. A smirk came to David's lips and pulled Sam against him. Holding her in his arms David made love to her mouth. And Sam fell. She fell into him. Her body responded well to him and moved with him like a rehearsed dance. David's trench coat became a blanket for them. That night under the eclipsing moon David and Samara made love. Giving each other an unspoken love song. An undying dance of souls intertwining in everlastingness.
