Heheheheh...so...who expected this story to be updated?
What can I say I got the itch to do Star again~
Ok in all seriousness here's whats going on. I do plan on going all the way with Island till it's over. And the story I'm gonna focus on once it's over is gonna be this one. Star. So since I hit the half way point with Total Loud Island I thought it would be a good idea to brush up on my Star Vs a little bit. But it's only gonna be for two chapters. So after the next chapter, it's back to Island.
And thanks to my best bud in the whole wide world Petrus for proof reading this.
And with all that said, I hope you all enjoy!
"So? Pretty cool right?" It was morning at the Loud House and while most of the sisters had already got their breakfast and shower and were doing their own things in their rooms, Star and Lynn Jr were currently sitting next each other at the dining room table. Lynn had a coffee mug in her hand filled with the caffeinated beverage while Star was drinking…something from her own glass. All the while Star showed off her wand to Lynn.
It's been about a week since Lincoln was kidnapped by Toffee and nearly killed by getting crushed by that crystal box. And at the same time it's been a week since Star was forced to destroy her wand. But luckily it was restored almost instantly…for the most part. The only real difference was that half of the star crystal in the middle of the wand was gone. And it was that part that Lynn was currently checking out.
"Hmmmm…" Lynn hummed with a bit of a creeped-out expression. Lynn looked closely at the wand and quickly noticed one thing. On the half that still had the crystal, Lynn's reflection was completely normal as if she was looking into a normal mirror. But on the half that didn't have the crystal…Lynn's reflection was completely black like a shadow with the only exception being her eyes which reflected an eerie green glow. "I dunno Star, looks kinda messed up to me."
"Whaaaaat?" Star let out as she picked up her wand and held it close to her cheek. "No it doesn't! Don't listen to her wand she doesn't know what she's talking about." Lynn then put on an uncomfortable look as she watched Star start to nuzzle her wand.
"I…I don't know how to respond to this." Lynn said as she found herself unable to look away from the scene. Thankfully a yawn got both her and magic princesses' attention as they looked to see Lincoln step into the dining room. Both of the girl's eyes widened at the white head as Lincoln seemed to have bigger bags under his eyes then normal and his hair was all messed up. "Woah, bag check for Lincoln's eyes! Haha!" However Lynn's little joke didn't get a single laugh. "What nobody?"
"Lincoln's whats wrong? You look like the living dead." Star said with a bit of a worried look. This isn't the first time this has been happening. Ever since they came back home after the whole Toffee thing Lincoln's been having a bit of trouble sleeping. And it seems like the chain is continuing. "Still not getting enough sleep?"
"Yeah…" Lincoln confirmed after releasing another yawn followed by rubbing his eyes. "Sorry, sorry, just…can't seem to get comfortable at night for some reason." Lincoln really didn't have an explanation for why he's been losing sleep lately. He didn't think he had PTSD from the whole incident since he hasn't really had nightmares about the events or suddenly become claustrophobic like Jackie. All he could say is that he felt weird. Simple as that.
"Well here, wake up with some Star Juice." Star then reached under the table and pulled out a blender filled with a yellow liquid with various objects floating around in it labeled Star Juice. And a majority of the objects in the juice were things that should never go in juice. "It's got plastic dinosaur's in it~"
"It's like coffee and nightmares had a baby!" Lynn cringed after seeing the blender full of juice. And yes, this juice is what Star has been drinking every morning for weeks.
Before Lincoln could say anything regarding the Star Juice suddenly Star's wand started shaking. Everyone was taken back a bit as they watched the wand on the table shake violently by itself…and then started floating around. "What's up with your wand?" Lincoln asked as his drowsiness seemed to disappear as the wand started zooming around the dining room. Just then the wand flew out of the dining room with the three in the room seeing it exit the dining room and fly upwards. "Oh no! It's heading upstairs!"
"Go after it!" Star said as she jumped over the table with her and Lincoln in hot pursuit of the wand. All the while Lynn stayed in her chair and was now all by herself in the dining room. The athlete took a long sip of her cup of coffee while pushing Star's left-over cup of Star Juice away from her.
"Get it! Get it! Get it! Get it! Get it!" Star repeated as her and Lincoln stormed up the stairs as fast as they could to chase the wand. When they got up the stairs, they saw the wand zooming back and forth across the hallway. Star and Lincoln jumped at the wand but it zoomed away once again leading to both 14-year-olds crashing to the floor.
"Quick! It's heading for Lisa and Lily's room!" Lincoln said as he and Star quickly got up as they watched the wand fly into the room that housed the youngest and smartest of the family. Both the Loud boy and Mewman ran over to the room and once inside they saw the wand flying around the room with Lily and the laser puppies hiding under her bed and Lisa by her work station trying to protect her beakers and such.
"Star what's going on?!" Lily yelled as she and her puppies stayed under their bed of protection. "The wand is going crazy!"
"I don't know! It's never done this before!" Star answered as the wand unpredictably flew around the room and knocking a few things off their shelves. "Quick! Catch it! Stop it or something!"
Lincoln tried to jumped for the wand again but just like last time the magical item dodged leading to the Loud boy landing face first on the floor. "Dang it!" Lincoln grunted as he lifted his face off the floor and gasped when he saw where, or rather who, the wand the flying towards. "Lisa look out!"
Lisa's eyes widened as the saw the wand flying right towards her. The young genius managed to duck just in time before the wand could hit her. "Oh thank goodness…" Lisa sighed out…before slowly looking behind her. The wand missed her…but crashed right into her work station and spilling all her chemicals leading them mixing in with each other. "Uh-oh…"
BOOOOOOOOM!
"AAAAHHH!" Lincoln and Star screamed as an explosion blew them right out of the room and into the hallway.
"I'm ok!" Lisa's voice called out to them from inside the room. Luckily Lisa has a high tolerance for explosions as she used to cause them on a daily basis.
Right after that, the wand flew back out Lisa and Lily's room and started zooming around the hallway once more. Before Star and Lincoln could get up, the wand proceeded to crash right through the door to Luna and Luan's room. Soon after the screams of the rocker and comedian were heard following by the crashing of various objects. "My drums!" Luna could be heard shouting from inside.
"Mr. Coconut!" Luan was soon heard after. "Don't go into the light!"
Before Star and Lincoln could rush into that room, the wand crashed through the door yet again, leaving a second wand shaped hole in the door, and once again started zooming through the hallway. "Star did you dump some of your Star Juice on this thing!" Lincoln yelled as he tried to reach out and grabbed the wand only for it to crash into Lola and Lana's room.
"Ah dang it!" Lana yelled from inside the room. "My ant farm got knocked over!"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" Lola's high-pitched shriek was heard most likely due to the sudden infestation of ants in her and her twins' room.
"I don't think so!" Star responded to Lincoln's question as she tried to catch the wand right as it crashed back out into the hallway but was just a little off the mark. This went on for a few minutes with the wand crashing into each sister's room and leaving a mess in its path. From knocking over all of Lynn's balls onto the floor of her and Lucy's room and messing up all of Leni's folded cloths.
Star and Lincoln continued, and failed, to catch the out of control wand. But just then the wand hovered right below the hatch leading into Star's room and crashed right through it, entering the room of the Mewman princess. "We gotcha now!" Star yelled as she and Lincoln quickly jumped up into Star's room.
But when they got into the room they saw an even stranger sight. The wand zoomed over towards Star's bed where her book of spells suddenly came out from under it all on its own, opened up, and caught the wand inside it. Now the book levitated up and zoomed right towards Lincoln and tackled the white-haired boy right into Star's open closet. And once he was inside, the door slammed shut on its own.
"Star what's going on!?" Lincoln yelled as his pounding fists were heard coming from inside the closet. The Loud boy then reached for the nob but found it unmoving and unable to get him out. "The door's locked! Get me outta here!"
"Don't worry Lincoln! I got this!" Star reassured her best friend as she took the door knob on her side of the door with both of her hands. Putting a foot to the door, Star used all the strength she could to try and twist and pull but it just wouldn't budge. "Why…won't it…open?!"
"Do you have a key or something for it?" Lincoln asked as he knew that Star referred to what he was inside of right now as her secrets closet. So obviously it would have a key to protect it right?
"No! No key!" Star grunted as she continued to try and force the door open. "I usually open it with my wand!"
"Well your book ate-wait a minute. You only open this door with your wand?" Lincoln questioned with a raised brow with Star giving him a 'yeah' in response. Lincoln face palmed as he put his mouth right to the door and said. "Star! Knobs exist for a reason! Why would you only use your wand to open it!"
"I have magic Lincoln and I am going to use it!" Star yelled back. Why not use magic if you had it? It was just a waste otherwise. So if she wanted to use magic for such task like open the door to a closet then she was gonna! Her wand. Her magic. Her business! Speaking of her business. "And you better not go pokin around in there Lincoln. That's my secrets closet. It's private."
Lincoln sighed as he ran a hand through his face. But just then he looked at his ivory white hand and realized something. He had fire and ice powers! He couldn't believe he forgot! Guess that tiredness still had a hold on him and made him forget stuff. But he remembered now and it would be a quick and easy ticket out of here! "Ok you know what Star I'm just gonna burn down the door." Lincoln told the princess as he aimed his left arm at the door. "Cool with that?"
"Eh, I'll just magic up a new one once I get my wand back so yeah." Star gave Lincoln full permission to burn down the door to her secrets closet. To avoid getting burnt, Star quickly backed away from her door. Once she was a safe enough distance away, Star called out to her best friend. "Alright Lincoln! Let'er rip!"
"Alright. Here we go!" Lincoln yelled out as he narrowed his eyes at the door and got ready to unleash a powerful blast of flames out of his hand and at the door…only for nothing to happen. Lincoln's eyes widened as he saw and felt no flames escape his hands. He tried even harder, grunting in the process, as he tried to get the flames to erupt and burn down the door. But still nothing. Looking, he saw that only the smallest sparks were escaping his hands. Not enough to even light up a simple torch let alone burn down a magic down. "What the…"
"Lincoln? Everything ok in there?" Lincoln heard Star call out to him from outside the closet. "I'm not seeing any fire? You got gas or something?"
"What? No!" Lincoln yelled with an embarrassed blush on his face for what Star was wondering. Something was seriously wrong here. Lincoln tried once again to ignite his hand with flames but only got the same little sparks as before. "Ugh! What the heck?!" Lincoln shouted in frustration as he tightened his white fist. "Star something's wrong! I can't make a flame!"
"Huh…that's…weird." Star let out in a confused tone. Ever since Lincoln got his powers, minus the little slip ups in the very beginning, he's had little to no problem using them and was able to take down entire gangs of monsters easily. Even by himself! So to hear he was having trouble burning down just a door…well…something was off to say the least. "Well...then just blast the door with your ice."
"Alright…worth a try." Lincoln, not exactly having lots of options left, aimed his other black hand at the door. While ice wasn't as good for getting rid of doors as fire was, maybe it could work like a battering ram or something. "Ok I can do this…Frost Demolisher!" Lincoln then punched forward with his right arm as hard as he could and was prepared to unleash a powerful ice attack…but once again nothing happened.
Lincoln gasped as he punched forward again and again to try and get his ice to work, but the most he was able to do was create a few snowflakes that fell to the floor and melted the second they made contact with the ground. "You gotta be kidding me!" Lincoln ran up to the door and started punching it in frustration while trying to use his powers but still saw no results. Only now slightly hurt hands. "Come on! What's going on?! Nothings working!"
"Wait, you can't use your ice either?" Star asked in a concerned tone as she stepped up to the door and did her best to peak inside. "Lincoln what's going on?"
"Well your guess is as good as mine." Lincoln sighed out as he turned his back to the door and leaned against it. Just great. Star had no way of opening the door without her wand and his powers suddenly decided to stop working today. It was only 11 AM and today was already filled with questions and confusion.
"Ok Lincoln, don't worry." Star told her best friend as she tried to force the door open with her hands once again. "I'll…get you…outta there!"
Just then sage music was heard as emerging from the key hole was the little blue man himself, Glossaryck. "What are you doing?" Glossaryck asked, surprising Star and making her squeal a bit as she lost her grip on the knob and fell to the floor.
"Oh hey Glossaryck." Star greeted her magical trainer as he floated right above her face. "My wand's locked in the closet. And Lincoln. And my spell book. Basically all my stuff. I want my stuff."
"Did you try the knob?" Glossaryck asked as he pointed to the knob.
Star grunted as she stood up and grabbed a large sword that was hanging on her wall. "I tried the knob!" Star yelled out in frustration as she furiously swung the sword at the door to try and slice it open. After a few seconds of swinging, she stopped and turned to Glossaryck. "Anything?"
Glossaryck floated over to the keyhole of the door and floated through it face first. Once he was in the closet, Glossaryck banged on the knob a few times with his fist with the knob still refusing to budge. "Nope!" Glossaryck called out to Star. "Still locked!"
Before Glossaryck could go back through the key hole and into the main room with Star, his head was grabbed by Lincoln who moved the little blue man's head so that he met eyes with the Loud boy. "Aha! What's going on?" Lincoln demanded to know. If anyone knew what was up, it was Glossaryck. Hekapoo told him of just some of the many things Glossaryck was capable of. So the little man was his best lead right now. "Are you the reason my powers aren't working? Why the wand was going crazy? Is this some kind of training thing or something?"
"Are you some kinda of training thing?" Glossaryck retorted as he crossed his eyes and started spinning them around. "Are you mad? Is this wolf-babob rock bandage ba ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba..."
"Stop, stop. Stop it!" Lincoln yelled to get Glossaryck to stop his babbling. He should have known he wasn't gonna get a straight answer from the little blue man. It was never that easy with him no matter who it was concerning. He just had to keep prying. "Just tell me how to get out of here."
"Okay. I'll tell you what to do." Glossaryck said after ceasing with his babbling and other whacky antics. "Are listening?"
"Yes." Lincoln sighed, just wanting to get this over with. "I'm listening."
Glossaryck then spread his eyes away from each other as he told Lincoln. "To reach the chunks in the hobo stew, find her secret. That's the clue."
Lincoln rose a brow at this. Hobo stew? Her secret? Vague and not even close to a straight answer. Typical Glossaryck. "So…what?" Lincoln questioned with a confused tone and look. "I just…find Star's secret and the door will open?"
"…Goodbye!" Glossaryck said before diving back through the key hole and into the actual room where Star was, leaving Lincoln to do what he needed to do.
When Glossaryck came back out in the room, he saw Star continuing to try and use swords and other weapons to try and get the door open only to no avail. "Why don't you try the easy way and open the door with magic?" The little blue man suggested getting a deadpanned look from Star.
"I can't do magic." Star stated as she dropped the sword she had onto the floor. "My wand's in the closet. We've been over this."
"Weeeeeeeell…" Glossaryck began as Star titled her head at him. "Why don't you do that purple thing you usually do?"
Star was taken back by this. She certainly wasn't expecting Glossaryck to suggest…that. "W-What?" Star nervously let out as she averted her gaze from Glossaryck. The whole purple thing wasn't exactly a subject she was comfortable talking about.
"You know. When you get all mad, glow all purple, and tear apart everything in your sight without mercy." Glossaryck explained getting Star to wince with the description he used for it. It was especially worse in the fact that she couldn't really deny this. "That could probably get the door open."
"Ahahaha...no." Star told Glossaryck in a surprisingly firm tone. Showing she was not willing to go all purple just for opening the door. "Glossaryck no I am not doing that." Star…never felt right when in that strange purple state. Things always felt…weird. That was the best way she could describe it. It didn't feel right in her body and mind. Not to mention she just couldn't control the power output of it. If she did do it to open the door, she was afraid she might hurt Lincoln in the process…or worse.
"...Welp, I suppose it's your call." Glossaryck shrugged before putting a finger to his chin. The little blue man spent a moment seemingly thinking of other solutions to the whole wand fiasco. "So, you don't have your wand…and you won't go purple either…" Just then Glossaryck gasped as he looked to Star with a wide smile and his pupils dilating so much his eyes became black. "Do you wanna try the hard way?"
Star suddenly found herself also getting a wide smile. "Yeeeeeeah!" She quickly agreed as her pupils mimicked Glossaryck's in going all black. "What's the hard way?"
"You've never of the hard way?" Glossaryck asked as his eyes went back to normal as he floated right in front of Star's face.
"No." Star shook her head. "Sound's hard though.
"Oh it is. But I can teach you." Glossaryck offered. Star didn't even think once about it and was eager to ask Glossaryck for the opportunity to learn how to use magic with no wand. And without going purple either! There was no reason not to do this! "Alright, the lesson begins…in my eyeball." Before Star could question anything, Glossaryck spread his eye lid extremely far apart to the point where he could take the entirety of Star into his eye ball.
Once that…interesting scene was done, Star and Glossaryck found themselves floating in some sort of other dimension. Crystals were floating everywhere and Star and Glossaryck were sitting in front of each other with a boiling cauldron in between them filled with some sort of…brown stew with meat floating around in it as Glossaryck stirred it with a wooden spoon.
"Imagine the universe as this big old cauldron, and magic is the bubbly stew inside." Glossaryck explained as he stirred the stew. The tips of his beard and his other hand were inside the stew as well. "And your wand is the spoon. And now-"
"My wand isn't a spoon." Star stated, cutting off Glossaryck and his lesson. "It's a wand."
"…It's a metaphor Star." Glossaryck deadpanned at the princess. He knew Star wasn't the brightest Mewman alive, but he figured she would at least get this. Welp, guess that's what you get when you assume things.
"Noooo." Star shook her head in response. Now thinking Glossaryck was calling her wand a metaphor. "It's a wand."
Glossaryck somehow deadpanned more as the spoon in his hand turned into a replica of Star's wand. "Fine." The little blue man relented. It was far easier to just go along with the whole thing then to just try and explain it to Star. So long as he got the actual message across, that's what mattered. "It's a wand." Star clapped as Glossaryck cleared his throat and continued with the lesson. "Now the wand can only skim the surface of the hobo gravy, watery and brown." Glossaryck demonstrated as he stirred the hobo gravy with the wand, unable to reached down into the gravy with it. "But if you want to get to the chunks, you've got to dip down." Glossaryck then tossed the wand over his shoulder and reached his hands down into the stew with them stretching back out while holding a pile of meat mush. "Get it?"
"…No." Star shook her head in response. Not understanding anything Glossaryck said one bit.
Glossaryck went back to deadpanning as everything around them poofed away and left the two back in Star's room. "Ok look." Glossaryck sighed out to Star. "You can do magic without your wand. You just have to dip down, ya know? Dip down. Dip down!"
"Without my wand?" Star questioned before putting on a bit of a nervous look. "And…without going purple?"
"…Your mom did it." Glossaryck shrugged.
"Pfft, if she can do it I can do it." Star said with renewed confidence as she headed towards the closet door. Anything her mom could do, Star could do better. She was gonna turn out better than her mom. And that included magical aspects too.
So the princess decided to pull out a cannon from an upper level of her room. "Fire in the hole!" Star said before firing the cannon at the door.
The cannon ball collided with the door and made the room shake a bit…but the door itself had no dent in it. In fact, the cannon ball actually cracked before soon shattering into pieces and revealing that Glossaryck got hit in the face with the cannon ball and seemed to have suffered no damage. "Star, try dipping downer." The little blue man encouraged the princess. "For the chunks!"
Glossaryck then dived back through the key hole and emerged back in the closet where he saw Lincoln rummaging through all the random junk in Star's secret closet. And at this point Lincoln felt Star had no right to call this a secrets closet. This was a junk closet that could easily be its own episode of Storage Wars or something. "Lincoln my boy." Glossaryck called out to as Lincoln narrowly avoided something heavy falling on him. "How goes it?"
"Oh you know, just trying to find Star's secret in a closet of junk." Lincoln grumbled as he pushed himself through said junk to make it to Glossaryck as the little blue man opened the book of spells to where the wand was being kept. "I swear this is like trying to find a needle in a haystack."
"Yes, well, you know I do this because I love you." Glossaryck told Lincoln getting an uncomfortable look from the Loud boy.
"Okay, that's a little weird." Lincoln said in a tone that matched his expression. He swears he's never gonna get used to Glossaryck and his antics.
"Haha. I'm sure it is." Glossaryck laughed as he stepped in front of the book and in front of the wand. "Now if you excuse me-"
"Oh no you don't!" Lincoln quickly put his foot down on the book to keep Glossaryck from closing it and pretty much escaping into it. "Come on man! You gotta help me out here! Look at this place! How am I gonna find one specific thing in here that I don't even know what it is! Just give me a hint! Is it big, small, weird, gross? Come on just one little hint?"
"Hmmmm…" Glossaryck hummed as he stroked his beard in thought. "I'm not sure if I should…"
Lincoln growled a bit in response…before an idea came to him. There was one thing that always got Glossaryck and he was about to use it to his advantage. "Well then…" Lincoln began as he crossed his arms and turned his back to Glossaryck. "I'm not sure if I should make my dad's famous pudding recipe for you tonight."
Glossaryck gasped loudly as he put on a horrified look. Drat! Pudding! His one weakness. And Lincoln knew exactly how to use it. "You wouldn't!" The little blue man said as he floated up to Lincoln's head and got right into the Loud boy's face.
"Try me little man." Lincoln smirked and put his hands to his hips. Hook, line, and sinker.
"Ok, ok, ok, you win!" Glossaryck gave in. He just couldn't live without that pudding. And Lincoln's dad made some of the best pudding in the multiverse. He couldn't lose it over anything! "It's a book! You're look for a book!"
"Thank you!" Lincoln said with a grin as he nodded at Glossaryck. "There will be a big bowl of Lynn Sr pudding waiting for you today."
"Oh thank goodness." Glossaryck breathed a sigh of relief as he floated back down to the book and wand. "Now then, I have work to do."
Lincoln nodded when he saw the book close on both Glossaryck and the wand. Deciding it was best to just leave Glossaryck to do…whatever he was going to do, Lincoln decided to get back to his search. He now had the lead he needed. He was looking for a book of some kind. And he knew where in the closet to look for it. Near the door, that was still stuck and unopening, on the wall were multiple bookshelves. Each one containing a decent number of books. Now there was just one question. "Now which one is it?" Deciding it was better to search sooner then later, Lincoln grabbed some plungers he found on the floor and used them to start climbing the wall towards the shelfs.
In the main room with Star, the princess wasn't exactly doing so well in her attempts to dip down. No matter what she did she just couldn't get the door open or use magic without the need for her wand. The whole time she's pretty much been repeating the phrase 'dip down' while throwing random objects at the door ranging from weapons, to explosives, to her aquarium. Nothing seemed to be working.
Glossaryck wasn't available right now, and probably wouldn't give her a straight answer anyway, so that left only one person she could think of to help her. One person that could dip down. Someone…Star wasn't really looking forward to talking to. "Oh why me…" Star groaned as she turned her head towards her interdimensional mirror.
But she had no choice. If she wanted her wand, book, and Lincoln back…she had to ask her mom for help. So the princess stepped up to the mirror and did the usual process saying, "Call Mom." The mirror quickly responded and got to ringing up queen Moon.
Thankfully it only took a few seconds before the queen of Mewni herself appeared on the mirror. "Star?" Moon questioned, curious to why her daughter was calling her.
"Hi mommy…" Star greeted her mother sheepishly.
Moon quickly caught onto her daughter tone and mannerisms and immediately asked. "What did you do?"
"oh, wha, why would you, ha, that is…" Star stammered before sighing. It was best to just rip the bandage off and get this over with. The sooner she got the advice, the sooner she can get the talk over with and get back to rescuing her stuff and Lincoln. "Okay, Lincoln's locked in my closet and Glossaryck wants me to dip down to get him out."
That certainly got a surprise out of Moon. The queen put on a look of surprise at what Star said Glossaryck wanted her daughter to do. She almost didn't believe it. "Dip down?" The queen of Mewni asked just to make sure she was hearing it right. Star confirmed this was the case by nodding her head. "I didn't learn that until I was 19!"
"Wow! Wow…" Star let out in surprise. She was only 14. Glossaryck was teaching her something she didn't teach her mom till she was five years older than Star currently was. Putting on a smug smile, Star was suddenly very glad she had this call. "So I'm, like, advanced."
Moon quickly gave a blank look as her daughter smiled and chuckled smugly at her. "I suppose…" Queen Moon admitted.
"Anyway." Star cleared her throat after she stopped chuckling. "Glossaryck didn't really give me any instructions, so..."
Moon quickly saw where Star was going with this as she let out a dry laugh. "Sounds familiar." Moon couldn't even remember all the times Glossaryck taught her with his teachings either being super vague at best or making little to no sense at worst. "Well, it's not easy. If you want to dip down, you have to summon everything you have."
"Everything?!" Star gasped out. Everything…everything. "Everything…" Star repeated with a smirk as she felt like she knew exactly what to do.
"Star." Moon said to try and snap Star out of her 'idea mode.' God knows how many times Star's 'idea mode' led to rapid fires started around the kingdom. "You do know what I mean by everything?"
"Yeah, totally, totally." Star claimed before quickly ending the call and hanging up on her mother.
Back inside the closet, Lincoln had plungered up Mt. Wall and was now at the level of Star's books elves. Thankfully they were big enough so that he could sit on one of them. And do that he did as he took a stack of books in his hand, sat down, and put them in his lap as he got ready to go through each one. "Ok, one of these books as got it be it." Lincoln muttered as he picked up the first book of the stack and quickly skimmed through it. "Nope." He picked up the next one and did it again. "Nope."
And so this continued as Lincoln went through each book of the first shelf. There were three shelves in total so hopefully he wouldn't be looking for long. He soon got to the last book that was on the shelf he was sitting on and this one looked promising. It was a pure black book and was quite large. No cover or anything from what Lincoln could see. "Ok, let's see if there's any secrets in here…" Lincoln then opened the black book and quickly skimmed through it to see if there were any secrets.
There was something in this book alright. But no secrets. "OH MY GOSH!" Lincoln yelled in shock as his entire face went red. The Loud boy then chucked the black book as far into the closet as he could and breathed heavily. "Star…you naughty girl."
Shaking his head and slapping his cheeks to try and cool his face down, Lincoln decided to simply try and forget what he just saw and keep looking. He was about to pick up some books from the shelf below him but-
BOOM!
Suddenly the sound of many, many, object colliding with the closet door was heard causing Lincoln to let out a frightened scream as he lost his balance and fell back first to the floor. "UGH!" Lincoln grunted as he made contact with the ground. Thankfully it wasn't that high up so he wasn't really damaged, just a bit bruised at worst. But he wasn't given the chance to get up as all the books that were left on the shelves proceeded to land right on him. "Ow…"
Lincoln grunted as he lifted himself from the pile of books. All except one. One that was stuck to his face. So putting his hands to the book, Lincoln unstuck the book from his face. "Pleh!" Lincoln spat out some glitter as the pink book that was in his hands was covered it. "What the heck was that?"
"Ah I see you've found the book." Lincoln's eyes widened in surprise as he looked to see Glossaryck was outside the book of spells and floating right behind him. "I expect extra pudding today."
"So wait this is…" Lincoln looked at the book in his hands. This was it! This was the book Glossaryck told him to get. And when he looked at the cover of the book…
'Diary of Star Butterfly.'
"Nope! Nope! Nope! Nope! Nope!" Lincoln repeated as he held the book as far away from him as he could. "I am not reading this!" Being in a house of ten girls taught him one thing. Reading a diary was almost always a death sentence. He's only done it once with Luna's diary along with Luan and Leni which led to them getting pranked by Luna and Sam. But considering this is Star, he knew any punishment she could give would be far worse then that.
"Read it." Glossaryck told Lincoln with a blank tone.
"No." Lincoln immediately answered.
"Read it."
"No."
"Read it."
"No."
"Read it."
"No."
"Read it."
"No."
"Read it."
"No."
"Ok look kid this can go either of two ways." Glossaryck explained as he held up one finger of each hand. "Either you read it and get out of here, or you don't and live the rest of your days as a closet hobo. I did it for a few decades once and it wasn't as fun as it sounded."
"Of course you did something like that." Lincoln deadpanned as honestly it would be weirder if Glossaryck didn't do something like that.
"Ah the good ole days of my youth." Glossaryck reminisced before looking at Lincoln again with a blank look. "But seriously just read it already."
"Ugh! Fine!" Lincoln, not really having much choice, walked up to the closet door and saw down right in front of it. If this was the only way to get out…then so be it. "But if Star kills me you have to bring me back to life!"
"Hahaha." Glossaryck let out a hearty chuckle. "No promises."
"Greeeeeat..." Lincoln sarcastically let out before sighing. "Yo Star I think I found something."
"Oh really?" Star asked with a bit of a dull tone. Her last attempts to 'dip down' didn't go so well on her end. But luckily it's what led to Lincoln getting the diary. "What's that?"
"It's uh, it's a book." Lincoln nervously let out. He was gonna have to prep himself for the beating of a life time from the Mewman Princess. "Ok let's see…" Lincoln then opened the book and read from the first page. "Moms a poop head."
"Moms a poop head?" He heard Star repeat and winced. With that kinda tone, Lincoln knew that Star realized what he was reading. "Lincoln! No! No! No! No! No! No!"
"Sorry Star…" Lincoln whispered as he kept reading. "On my tenth birthday, I put noxie frogs in all the servants's beds."
"Lincoln! It's not the thing, it's not the thing!" Star yelled at Lincoln while banging on the door.
"I am so dead when this is over…" Lincoln whimpered at a volume Star couldn't hear before skipping ahead. However, what he saw did pique his curiosity and he narrowed his eyes a bit to make sure he was reading it right. "Chapter 11, my thoughts on…Jackie?"
Star gasped…as suddenly she felt something coming over her. "Dip down…" The princess muttered as she started to float in the air. Opening her eyes, a white light radiated from them along with her cheeks glowing as well as an aura of magic radiated off her. Some of the magic leaked towards the door…and successfully opened the closet door.
Lincoln grunt as his back hit the floor as the door opened when he was leaning on it. When the door was successfully opened, Star stopped glowing and dropped to the floor on her feet. "…I…did it!" Star cheered as she jumped up and down towards Lincoln. "I dipped, I dipped, I dipped! Lincoln! I'm not a skimmer. I dipped…" Star then looked at her diary in Lincoln's hand and quickly took it from him and gave him a quick smack to the head with the pink glittery book.
"Ow!" Lincoln let out in pain. "Sorry…"
"It's ok." Star reassured the Loud boy. "But never read my diary again. Ever!"
Before anyone could say anything else, the Book of Spells rolled out of the closet and stopped in front of the two teens as Lincoln stood up. Opening up, Glossaryck floated out of the book and picked up the wand. "Well, this thing's broken." The little blue man said. Really broken wasn't the half of it. While Star and Lincoln were doing their things, Glossaryck was inspecting the wand and saw things clearly weren't right. "But give it a whirl." Glossaryck tossed Star the wand before turning to Lincoln. "You too Lincoln. Let loose with both your powers.
Both Lincoln and Star looked to each other and shrugged as they did what Glossaryck asked of them.
BOOM!
What resulted was an explosion of green magic energy. From the wand, it spawned a new smaller tower attached to the roof of Star's room while covering herself, Lincoln, and Glossaryck in green glittery slime. While with Lincoln, when he activated his powers, he created a burst of each element leaving half of Star's room covered in green fire and the other half frozen in green ice.
Both teens were incredibly dazed, but Lincoln simply pointed to the green fire on half of Star's room. "I'm…gonna go get the fire extinguisher…"
"Uuuuuuuh…" Star let out in a daze as Lincoln left.
Just then Glossaryck let out a cough before yelling. "I call dibs on the new tower!"
Short and sweet this chapter was. I really liked this episode of Star. It foreshadowed that magic wasn't really acting right and as we saw it only got worse as the season went on. Star's best season was easily season two and I'm excited to do it all.
So remember to fav, follow, and leave a review and stay tuned for the next chapter before I go back to TLI...
