Hey everyone! Been a while since I last updated this story I know

Now I know everyone wasn't expecting this to be updated due to my cycle system.

Well let's just say that after talking with someone about it I decided on something for myself that I think is ultimately better for myself, so hey you can thank them for getting this story updated sooner lol

Now this chapter is one of the more chill ones but filled with some nice fun, and cute stuff. This episode also takes inspiration from the Regular Show episode where Mordecai meets CJ, and you can thank Petrus for that idea I think it works really well here.

Now then I won't keep any longer, I hope you enjoy.

"Yo this is Hekapoo, I'm busy with shit right now so just leave a message. Unless you're a nerd then get lost."

BEEP!

Lincoln let out a sigh as, once again, all her got was a voice mail from Hekapoo. Ever since baby sitting Buff Frog's tadpoles…Lincoln hasn't been able to reach the scissor maker. He's tried calling her dozens of times and even tried to visit where she lived in the Neverzone but there just seemed to be no trace of her. "Hey Hekapoo…it's me…again…" Lincoln spoke into the phone and recorded a message he hoped she'd get and listen to. "Just wondering how you're doing…I'm…I'm worried about you, you know…"

Lincoln was silent for a moment, almost like he was waiting for a response, but only looked down as he got nothing silence in response. "I know you probably don't want anyone worrying about you, you're strong like that," Lincoln smiled and chuckled a bit to himself at that. He knew if Hekapoo was here she'd tell him to stop being such a worrywart and that she can handle herself. "But…I could tell after that babysitting gig that…something was really bothering you. I don't know what it is but I can tell it's something that really got to you. If you ever need to talk just know I'm always here,"

Another moment of silence occurred before Lincoln spoke up once more. "I know you've made some mistakes in the past and some stuff I'm sure you're not proud of but I promise I won't judge you for them," Lincoln reassured, a sad smile on his face. "We've all done plenty of stuff we're not proud of but it doesn't define us, as long as we work on fixing our mistakes and learning from them. Remember that above all else ok?"

Lincoln let out another sigh and said one last thing. "Just promise me you'll be ok and we'll see each other soon alright?" Lincoln asked before taking the phone away from his ear. "I'll talk to you later H-Poo, good luck with whatever it is you're doing right now," And with that Lincoln finally hung up and just silently hoped that Hekapoo would contact him in anyway soon.

He put his phone down on the nightstand before laying done on his bed, his head crashing into his pillow as he just stared up at the ceiling. "Just whats up with her?" Lincoln silently muttered, a question that's been on his mind ever since the baby-sitting job. He could tell something was going on with Hekapoo that whole day from her saying she's bad with kids to just looking like she was out of it sometimes. "Wish she'd just come back and tell me. Did she have a bad experience with kids or something? Some event or something that's stuck with her? I just don't get it."

Knock, knock, knock.

"Come on," Lincoln muttered, not bothering to look towards the door and continued to just keep his eyes on the ceiling.

"Heeeeey, bro-bro," Coming into Lincoln's room was Star, a concerned look on his face. "You doing ok?" Star's seen Lincoln concern for Hekapoo over the week she's been gone and was now starting to worry herself. About both Hekapoo and Lincoln. "Has Hekapoo gotten back to ya yet?"

"No, she hasn't," Lincoln answered with a quiet sigh as he moved to the side. Star then joined him on the bed, laying right next to Lincoln while glancing at him. As they laid down next to each other Star put a hand of comfort onto his head, lightly petting his white hair. "I'm getting really worried. I mean yeah I know she's got a job and all, being on the high commission and everything, but she's never been away for this long. I haven't even gotten a phone call or text. Is this normal for her?"

"Eh, I wouldn't really know." Star simply shrugged as she kept her hand on Lincoln's head. "I didn't really interact with any of the commission until you and Hekapoo became a couple~"

"Oh my go-we are not a couple!" Lincoln yelled at Star, only growing more annoyed as he saw her shit eating grin, with his face now starting to go red. He was getting real sick and tired of people teasing him and Hekapoo of being a couple, and Hekapoo just fueling the fire didn't help at all. "We are just friends! And as her friend I'm just worried about her since I haven't heard anything from her in a while,"

"Uh-huh, uh-huh, sure~" Star giggled with a teasing tone. She knew this would get Lincoln out of his little funk no matter how much he might complain about it. "You just miss your little cuddle buddy~ I bet you just need some hugs and kisses~ Come here~!"

"What are you-H-Hey! Star stop!" Star only laughed as she wrapped her arms and legs around Lincoln's body. Lincoln tried to pry and wrestle the magic princess off her but Star held onto Lincoln tightly and only grinned as she continued to hold onto him like she was a koala bear. "G-Get off me right now!"

"Never~!" Star laughed as she and Lincoln rolled off the bed together and started wrestling on the floor. Star then puckered her lips and leaned closer to Lincoln's head. "Come on let me give you kisses~!"

"Gah! S-Star! Stop it! Ge-Get away from me!" Lincoln yelled with a red face as she tried to push away the Mewman's face. But Star was completely prepared for this as her hands made their way to Lincoln's armpits where she began to tickle him. "H-H-Hey! Hahahah! Star that's not fair! Ahahahah! Stop!"

"Not until I give you kisses!" Star yelled with a giant smile on her face as continued to tickle the white-head. She then puckered her lips again and brought them to Lincoln's cheek where she unleashed a barrage of butterfly kisses. "Mwah! Mwah! Mwah! Mwah! Mwah!" Star made sure to not leave a single part of Lincoln's cheek unkissed. "Feel my love Lincoln Loud!"

"Hahahah! Get…off!" With one final shove, mustering all the strength he could, Lincoln managed to pry Star off of him and shove her onto the floor next to him. Despite now being a blushing mess and Star no longer on him, Lincoln continued to laugh with a big smile on his face. "Hahahahaha!"

"Hehehehehe!" Star giggled wildly as both she and Lincoln sat up. After about a solid minute, there laughter finally died down before they looked at each other with fond smiled. "Feelin better?"

"Yeah actually, I am. Thanks Star," Lincoln since sincerely before wiping his cheek clean. "Sorry for being a worrywart, guess I do miss Hekapoo a little bit,"

"Eh, it's fine. I know how close you too are. I'm sure she'll turn up sooner or later, just wait," Star told Lincoln with a confident smirk as she patted his shoulder. A sly grin then appeared on her face as she leaned close to Lincoln. "And hey if you ever need a kiss and cuddle buddy you can just tell me ya know~ I'll even give ya one on the lips if you ask nice enough~"

"I'll consider it, but I think I'll let Jackie get first dibs on your lips first," Immediately after Lincoln said that Star froze and blushed brightly while letting out a cute squeak. Lincoln gave a smug grin as he chuckled at the sight. "Yeah, yeah, I can play that game too Star. Don't jump in unless you're ready to play,"

"S-Shut up!" Star puffed her cheeks out and looked away from the Loud boy while crossing her arms. "Look just get out of this room ok it's about time-"

"Come aboard and bring along all your hopes and dreams! Together we will find everything that we're looking for!"

Suddenly a song was heard coming out of Star's pocket and both her and Lincoln's eyes slowly widened as they heard it go off. "Oh. My. God…" Lincoln soon wore his out shit-eating grin as Star's blushed only got hotter, the princess still looking away from Lincoln. "Is that your ringtone~?"

"No! No it's not! You're hearing things! Shut up!" Star yelled fiercely at Lincoln as she pushed him to the ground before quickly taking out her compact phone and answering it. In an instant the song stopped and Star saw Pony Head appear on the screen. "Hey girlfriend how's it hanging!"

"B-Fly! You gotta go to your mirror girl, I sent you a video and it is big!" Pony Head yelled dramatically while looking Star right in the eye, even floating closer to her phone. "And when I say big I don't mean small-big I mean big-big!"

"A video huh?" Star asked with a blank tone and expression. "Pony Head this better not be one of your Pony Head show bloopers or anything because the last one-"

"Ok, like, first of all, those bloopers are treasured across dimensions and have made billions of people laugh," Pony Head said in a matter of fact tone. "But no this isn't that. It's about Tad and Kelly!"

"Tad and Kelly?" That did get Star's interest a bit. She hasn't seen Kelly since she left Mewni to live on earth. And Tad…ugh, Tad. She promised Kelly she'd support her in her relationship but Tad…Tad was not exactly one of her favorite people. If Star could describe Kelly's boyfriend in one word it would be, bum. "Oh please don't tell me it's one of…those videos…"

"AH! EW! NO GIRL DO NOT EVEN GIVE ME THAT IMAGE!" Pony Head loudly snapped as her face twisted into one of the disgusts for a breath moment. Pony Head swallowed, seemingly trying to keep her lunch down, before shaking her head. "No! No! A million times no! Look just watch it ok you're gonna wanna see it,"

"Alright, alright, I'll check it out sheesh," Star waved a hand to gesture for Pony Head to calm down her bestie down. Star then turned to Lincoln and gestured for him to follow her. "Come on Linc let's check this out,"

"Yeah ok," Deciding he doesn't have anything better to do Lincoln got up and followed Star to her room. "Kelly huh? I remember you mentioning her a few times, and whose this Tad guy?"

"Oh Kelly is one of me and Pony Head's best friend. I'm sure you'd like her." Star smiled as she remember some of the stuff she's done with Kelly. Going to the bounce lounge, sword fighting together, going on monster hunts, going camping in the dangerous Mewni wilderness. It was fun! But her face immediately turned sour as she thought to Tad. "And Tad is…Kelly's boyfriend…"

"Judging by your tone I'm guessing you don't exactly like him." Lincoln could sense the disdain in Star's words when she mentioned Tad. "So what is he a jerk or something?"

"No he's a lazy, stupid, and just a massive bum," Star explained as she opened up the hatch to her room. "He and Kelly have had this on again off again relationship that's been going on for like years! Kelly is way to good for him and he puts no effort or ambition into anything! I'd just wish she'd cut things off with him permanently at this point,"

"Oh well then you're about to get your wish granted girl," Pony Head informed Star, getting a brow raise from the princess. "Just watch the video and you'll understand,"

"Alright then," Star said as she and Lincoln entered her room. Both went to where Star's mirror was hung up with the princess turning it on and immediately, she got a message of a video that was shared with her. Curious as to what Pony Head was talking about Star hit the play button and her and Lincoln saw the video unfold…

"GET THE (BLEEP) OUT OF MY (BLEEP)ING HAIR RIGHT NOW!" Wielding a giant sword that seemed to be just as big as she was a girl about Star's age. She had a head filled with incredibly long and fuzzy, almost wool-like, aquamarine hair that reached to her ankles, and had brown skin and seemed to lack a nose and she also had a bit of a lean muscular figure. She wore an oversized pink and white striped sweater, black shorts, pink boots with aquamarine tassels that match her overgrown hair, and big round black-rimmed glasses. This was Star and Pony Head's friend Kelly. "I DON'T WANNA SEE YOU EVER AGAIN TAD!"

"But Kelly! You can't just kick me out babe!" The one being chased by Kelly was some sort of short statured creature completely covered in turquoise hair. He appeared to have two pairs of arms and legs that were brown skinned similar to Kelly. "I'm sorry! I really am."

"I DON'T WANT YOUR DAMN APOLOGY YOU (BLEEP)ING ASSHOLE!" Kelly roared as she tried to swing her sword at Tad only for the smaller creature to barely dodge out of the way with Kelly still managed to cut off a few hairs. "I (BLEEP)ING WANT YOUR ASS OUT OF MY (BLEEP)ING LIFE SO TAKE YOUR (BLEEP) AND YOUR TINY (BLEEP) AND NEVER SHOW YOUR (BLEEP)ING FACE HERE AGAIN YOU (BLEEP)!"

"AAAAAAHHH!" Tad yelled as Kelly swung at him again.

The video then cut off right as Kelly was about to thrust her sword at Tad. Star and Lincoln were silent as they watched the video unfold and when it ended they blinked a few times to properly process what they had just seen. "Your…friend…" Lincoln began with a quiet tone. He's never quite heard someone that…expression to say the least. "Certainly has an interesting vocabulary,"

"Yeah…yeah she gets like that when she's mad…" Star nodded her head as she recalled the other times Kelly had a break down like that. Only she wasn't censored when Star and others saw it for themselves. Kelly really inherited her mother's sailor mouth. "Pony who the heck was recording that?"

"Eh, some guy who just had his camera out recording random stuff like a creeper," Pony answered nonchalantly. "You know how it is people always looking to record whatever to become a big star, it's kind of sad but I guess not everyone has natural stardom like me,"

"Huh, so even other dimensions have stupid white guys with go-pros on their head 24/7. Neat." Lincoln said before looking at Star and Pony Head. "So…did Kelly end up killing him or what?"

"Nah he's just in the hospital, ya know presumably," Pony Head answered rather ambiguously making Star and Lincoln's eyes widen. "But daaaaaamn gotta hand it to Kelly she really went beast mode there like for real!"

"So like are her and Tad finally done?" Star asked with a small smile coming to her face. After years of dealing with Kelly's on-again off-again bum of a boyfriend he might finally be out of the picture for good! Kelly was finally free from him! "Like done-done?"

"Girl you saw the video, no relationships coming back from that," Pony Head pointed out like it was obvious, which it kind was, before her face turned into an irritated frown. "But Kelly, ugh, she's being such a baby about it! I took her out to the bounce lounge to finally celebrate getting rid of that loser for good but she was being so mopey when I showed up at her house! Just look!"

Just then Star's mirror got a notification about multiple pictures being sent. Star clicked on it and appearing on her mirror was a picture of Kelly. She was laying on a hairy couch with a depressed look on her face with a gray t-shirt that said 'gloomsville' on it with multiple food stains on it. Sliding to the next photo it showed Kelly with her face inside a cereal bowl. The third and final picture showed Kelly just laying down on the floor, looking completely limp and uncaring about everything. "Yikes…" Star and Lincoln said in unison after seeing the state Kelly was in.

"I know right!" Pony Head yelled with the roll of her eyes. "When I tried talking to her I was like 'girl we gotta get you out of her' and she was like 'girl my life is terrible' and I was like 'girl you gotta forget that jerk' and she was like 'girl he was like the love of my life' and I was like 'giiiiiiiirl!"

"Hey give her a break Pony Head," Lincoln said in a more sympathetic tone as he looked over the pictures of the depressed Kelly. "Breakups can be hard on someone. Believe me I've seen it happen to my sisters enough time to know."

"Well to be fair Lincoln she's literally dumped him more times then I can count," Star stated, getting a blank look from Lincoln in response. This pretty much happened every time they broke up. Granted Kelly did seem a little more torn up about things then she usually was, most likely since this was a permanent break up. "But it is hard to see her like this. Wish there was something we could do to help her out,"

"Well I'm all ears girl," Pony Head said while wiggling her ears. "Because I have tried literally everything,"

"Hmmmmm…" Star hummed as she rubbed her chin in thought. What could possibly cheer Kelly up? A sparring match? No her best friend would have surely already asked her to do that. A new weapon? Maybe but till didn't sound good enough. A vacation? No Kelly really wasn't the vacation type, she liked going to other places but not staying for long periods of time. As Star was thinking of ideas her eyes snapped open and she broke out into a huge smile as it came to her. "I got it! We gotta set her up!"

"Set her up?" Lincoln repeated with a raised brow.

"Oooooh girl! That's brilliant!" Pony Head smiled and nodded, instantly on board with the idea. "She needs a new man to get her mind off Tad!"

"You know a lot of guys Pony," Star smiled at her friend. If there was anyone who could set Kelly up with the perfect guy then it was Pony Head herself. "Know any that Kelly might like?"

"Hmmmmm, yeah, yeah I do but there's a little problem," Pony Head said with an unsure tone. "I kinda already called dibs on all the ones I know. I know, I know, a little harsh but what can I do all of them would just be perfect for me. So there's really nothing I can do, sorry B-Fly."

"Gee, thanks Pony Head." Lincoln said in a blank tone as he and Star gave her deadpanned looks, with Star hanging up on the unhelpful floating head. Should have figured honestly considering…well it's Pony Head. "Alright I guess that's up to us."

"Wait really?" Star gave Lincoln a surprised look after hearing that. Was Lincoln actually going on board with this? "You're gonna help with this?"

"Star, I've known you long enough to know two things about your schemes," Lincoln pointed out while looking the princess dead in the eye. "Either one of these two things will happen. A, you're gonna find some way to wrap me into it one way or another or B, I'm gonna have to step in to help you fix whatever problems it causes. It's one or the other, never anything in between."

"…Fair enough!" Star smiled and shrugged before entering into deep though. "Now let's see…what kind of boy would Kelly like…"

"Well does she have a type or anything?" Lincoln asked as he crossed his arms and leaned against the wall. "Was Tad or only boyfriend?"

"Yep, pretty much. And we do not want another Tad." Star said firmly as she tapped her toes, trying to think of any sort of guy that would be a good and healthy match for Kelly. She didn't want to see Kelly sad and depressed, she needed someone that could make her happy. "We need someone the exact opposite of Tad. Tad was lazy, unmotivated, and just uncaring. We need someone nice and sweet, hardworking, sensitive, and caring…but who could be like that…"

Lincoln and Star were silent as they thought long and hard about this. They didn't just want to set Kelly up with some rando or just sign her up for a dating website. They needed someone nice, someone dependable, someone that would put Kelly above themselves. "I got it!" Star smiled widly before grinning slyly and turning towards Lincoln. "Say Lincoln…any chance Clyde is single~?"

"Clyde?" Lincoln asked with a bit of a confused tone. "Yeah he is but why….waaaaaaait…."

"Hehehehe~" Star giggled as Lincoln quickly put the pieces together.

"You wanna set up Clyde with Kelly?" Lincoln asked, not immediately against the idea but he was a bit skeptical. While he did trust Star, Clyde was his best friend and he didn't want to try putting him together with someone that wouldn't treat him right. And as Pony Head showed…Star's friends can be a bit…unpredictable to say the absolute least. "Really?"

"Come on think about, Clyde would be perfect for her!" Star smiled as she went right up to Lincoln. "He's exactly what she needs to get over Tad! He's the sweetest most sensitive guy ever, he's always looking out for others, he works hard on just about everything he does, and any girl would be lucky to have him!"

"All of this is true yes," Lincoln nodded, any girl would honestly be lucky to have someone like Clyde. He was all the things Star said and more, especially when it came to his baking skills. What girl doesn't like a man who can bake? "But are you sure Kelly will be a good match for him? I mean if that video is anything to go by Kelly might be a bit…on the aggressive side."

"I know, I know, and granted she can be a bit fierce but only when she gets heated up." Star defended her friend and properly explained things to Lincoln. "Kelly's really super sweet and really nice I know her and Clyde will work well together I promise! Please Lincoln you saw how Kelly was, she could really use a sweet heart like Clyde to cheer her up,"

"Well…I suppose," While he was still a bit skeptical, Lincoln was willing to take Star's word for it. And it would be nice to see Clyde hit it off with a girl. "Alright I'm in. What's the plan?"

"Simple, you talk to Clyde and I'll talk to Kelly," Star explained before taking out her dimensional scissors and twirling them around her finger. "We'll set up a time and place, know any good date spots in town?"

"Hmmmm, let me think," Lincoln put a finger to his chin as he hummed in thought. After a moment or two he snapped his fingers as the perfect idea came to him. "Hey how about we do it at my dad's restaurant! I could just ask him to save a private table just for them!"

"Oh my gosh Lincoln that's perfect! And for a time how about six? That should give both of em enough time to get ready." Star smiled brightly as they brought their perfect match up plan together. Star then brought up her compact phone again and started doing something on it. "Ok call me after you've talked to Clyde, I'll send you a more presentable picture of Kelly if he asks what she looks like. Just tell her she's a really nice and sweet girl that's also strong and determined."

"Alright then, good luck with Kelly Star," Lincoln said as Star opened up a portal and stepped through it as Lincoln exited Star's room and started to head his way to Lincoln's house.

About ten minutes later Lincoln was seen knocking on the door of the McBrides house. After giving it a few knocks, Lincoln put his hands in his pockets and just waiting for one of Clyde's dads or hopefully Clyde himself to open the door. After about a minute the Clyde's dad Harold opened the door and smiled upon seeing Lincoln. "Lincoln! It's good to see you," Harold say before frowning a bit after noticing the Loud boys lack of winter cloths. "But why aren't you wearing a coat? You're going to couch a cold out there,"

"Don't worry about me Mr. McBride, I perfectly fine out here," Lincoln reassured to Clyde's dad that he was fine before looking inside the house a bit. "So hey is Clyde home? I need to talk about him with something and I thought this would be something I should talk about with him in person."

"Oh I understand, he's in his room right now," Harold answered, moving over and letting Lincoln inside. "It's not anything bad is it? If anything's going on you can tell me as well,"

"No, no, everything's fine really," Lincoln smiled and rose his hands to gesture that everything was ok. Considering how Clyde's dads usual were he was fully expecting this kind of question. "I just need to ask him something is all, nothing bad I promise,"

"Well alright then," Harold smiled before going into the kitchen as Lincoln made his way into Clyde's room.

"Hey Clyde," Opening the door, Lincoln immediately came in and saw Clyde at his desk with some papers in front of him. "Hope I'm not bothering you or anything,"

"Nah you're fine, just finishing up my homework," Clyde reassured Lincoln as he continued to write on the paper in front of him. After a few more seconds Clyde put his pencil to the side perfectly straight before gathering up all his papers and making them all perfectly straight with each other. "Aaaaand done! I'm all free now, so what can I do for ya best buddy?"

"I need to ask you something," Lincoln said as he sat down on Clyde's bed. Clyde got up and sat down next to Lincoln as the white head pulled his phone out. "You see Star has a friend named Kelly and, just bear with me here, but she's looking to set her up with something and she think's that you'll be perfect for her,"

"W-W-What?!" Clyde immediately found himself going red as Lincoln suggested this. He was expecting a lot of things when Lincoln showed up. Wanting to hang out, go sledding, marathon something, but Clyde could safely say he wasn't expecting that kind of request at all. "K-Kinda just…laid tha-that on me huh?"

"Yeah sorry but I figured it was best to just rip the band-aid off," Lincoln apologized with a sheepish smile. "Look I know it's a lot to ask you but Kelly's apparently been a bit…lonely later," Lincoln decided to keep the exact details vague as if Lincoln told Clyde that Kelly was dealing with a break up he might accept out of pity or something like that since Clyde was just that nice of a guy. "And Star thinks going on a date would be just what she says and she says Kelly's looking for a sweet, hardworking, caring guy that always thinks about others and we both agree that you're just the man like that!"

Clyde blushed more from the compliments but couldn't but smile. "Heheh, well I guess I can be like that," He said while scratching the back of his head, trying to remain modest. "I mean…I don't know. I've…never really been on a date before let alone a blind date."

"I know but you never know, I think you'll have a lot of fun together," Lincoln encouraged Clyde as he took out his phone with one hand and put a hand to his best friends back with the other. "I know just about any girl would be lucky to have a guy like you in their lives. And if you're wondering what she looks like Star sent me this picture."

Lincoln then showed the picture to Clyde, the picture being a selfie Kelly and Star took together, and Clyde couldn't help but blush a bit as he looked over Kelly in the picture. "W-Well she certainly is pretty," Clyde muttered a bit with Lincoln smiling in response. "What's she like?"

"Well Star said she is a very sweet and nice girl," Lincoln began explaining Kelly to Clyde in the same way Star told him about her. "Also very strong and determined and she thinks you two will go quiet nicely together. So what do you say?"

"Well…" Clyde thought about it for a bit. This Kelly did sound like a nice person and she was certainly easy on the eyes. Smiling a bit, Clyde nodded his head. "I guess it does sound like it could be fun. Alright I'll do it!"

"Yes! Alright, I'll let Star know," Lincoln smiled as he stood up from the bed. "Alright it's gonna be at my dad's restaurant at six o'clock wearing something casual but nice to put down the tie."

"…Right, sorry," Clyde blushed a bit in embarrassment before putting the red tie he took out away. "Casual but nice, got it! Tell Star I'll promise to show her a good time,"

"I know you will bud, good luck tonight I'm rooting for ya!" Lincoln encouraged his friend with a grin before leaving his room and heading outside, giving Harold a quick goodbye before stepping outside. Once he was outside Lincoln started his walk back home before dialing up Star and putting the phone to his ear. Thankfully Lincoln almost immediately got an answer as he heard it click. "Hey Star! Good news, got Clyde to say yes. He'll be at my dads place at 6, how's it going on your end?"

"Well it took a bit of convincing but she said she'd do it! So the date is a go!" Star cheered loudly making Lincoln move the phone away from his ear but he still smiled nonetheless. "And it's a good thing I said six because it might take a while for her to get ready she uh…she kinda stinks and most of her cloths are dirty! But luckily she's got a magic princess friend to help with everything so she'll be there on time!"

"Alright that's good to hear," Lincoln nodded as he put the phone back up to his ear. "I'm just gonna head home now, good luck with Kelly, see ya later!"

"See ya later Lincoln! Byyyyyyyye!" Star chirped out before hanging up on Lincoln.

LATER THAT NIGHT

"Ok Clyde, alright you can do this," Clyde told himself as he walked down the street in the direction of Lincoln's father's restaurant Lynn's table. Currently the McBride son was wearing a dark blue coat with a light olive-green collared shirt with pale yellow highlights, black jeans that bore no wrinkles and pure black shoes. "Just be yourself and show her a good time and everything will work out fine."

Clyde was a bit nervous right now to say the least. He's never been on a date with a girl before. Quite honestly he wasn't sure if he'd ever get to go on a date. He used to have a crush on Lori and that didn't work out for obvious reasons, thankfully he was able to get over it a few years ago. He had a crush on Stella similar to all his friends when they first met, except Lincoln who had a crush on Jackie at the time, but that didn't work out either. He's had a few crushed on some girls during his middle school years but those never took off either. At this point Clyde was questioning whether or not he'd actually enter any sort of relationship but maybe if this ends up working out maybe he could actually enter some sort of relationship.

But he was thinking too far ahead. "Just focus on this date and see how things go," Clyde told himself as he saw Lynn's Table approaching in the distance. Checking his phone Clyde smiled when he saw that it was 5:55, a good five minutes early. "Alright Clyde you got this,"

Once he approached the restaurant Clyde took a few more minutes to get himself ready and prepare himself for the date before finally entering inside. "Ah Clyde! Good to see you!" Lynn Sr's friend and worker Kotaro approached the McBride boy with a small and two menus in his hand. "Lynn told me you'd be coming here and I made sure to reserve a table for you. So you have a hot date huh~?"

"Hehehe, s-something like that," Clyde answered with a blush as he scratched his cheek a bit. "I'm a bit nervous, this'll be my f-first date,"

"Ooooo, a big one," Kotaro smiled as he led Clyde to his table. "Well don't worry, just be yourself, show your girl a good time and I'm sure everything will work out,"

"Heh, thanks I'll do my best," Clyde said as he sat down at the table Kotaro reserved for him. It was one of the bigger tables in the corner and gave a perfect view of the outside, the falling snow making the outside look quite pretty. "Oh uh when she shows up her name is Kelly and you'll know her when you see her. She has quite a lot of hair."

"Well I'll make sure to show her to her table when she shows up." Kotaro nodded at Clyde before placing the two menus on the table. And so Clyde simply sat at the table and waited for his date to show up.

Things were quite for the next few minutes as Clyde simply waited, one of the waiters of the restaurant bringing him a water with lemon. As the minutes ticked by Clyde simply looked around the place and just escaped into his thoughts. 'What if she doesn't show up?' Clyde asked himself with a small frown as he stared at his reflection in his glass of water. 'No, no, that's ridiculous. Lincoln would have told me if she said no right? I'm sure she's coming, just taking a few minutes to get ready. Oh man what if she doesn't like me? What if she thinks I'm too soft or something? But Lincoln did say she was looking for a guy like me? But what if he didn't mean like me-me? What if-'

"Um, hey are you…Clyde McBride?"

"H-Huh?" Clyde was snapped out of his thoughts as a female voice spoke up to him. Looking to the side he blushed as he saw it was none other then his date Kelly. Kelly was currently wearing a light blue scarf along with a sweater that started out as pink at the bottoms with each upper section being a darker shade then the one below it, ending it dark purple on the top. She also hard blackish-purple jeans with dark blue boots and her hair was done up in two long and thick pig tails. "Oh y-yes! I'm Clyde, and you must be Kelly it's really nice to meet you!"

"Uh, yeah," Kelly answered in a bit of a monotoned voice. Her face had a small frown on it as she sat down directly across from Clyde and simply stared down at the menu that was in front of her. "Hey."

"So I hope you coming here isn't a big deal and all," Clyde began to make small talk so he could hopefully get to learn more about Kelly. He had to say she was even prettier in person. "I mean being from a different dimension and everything, I know Star and Lincoln have those scissors but still,"

"It's fine." Kelly just nodded as she kept her eyes down.

"Right, right…" Clyde looked around nervously as he tried to think of another topic. "So hey I really like your outfit, the colors really work for you,"

"Thanks," Once again Kelly just gave a simple response.

"…Yeah," Clyde frowned a bit as he looked at the table. "So you…got any hobbies or anything?"

"I guess," Kelly simply shrugged her shoulders before letting out a sad sigh.

"…Ok what's up?" Clyde asked which actually got Kelly's attention as she finally looked up at him. "I can tell you're not really into this?"

"What? No, no I am," Kelly shook her head in denial, but it was clear she wasn't doing a good job at lying.

"Come on you can tell me," Clyde reassured her as he leaned forward a bit. "If you're not really interested in me you can just say so,"

Kelly let out a say before shaking her head again and sighing. "Ok, ok, I'm sorry you seem like a nice guy you really do it's just…" Kelly lowered her head again as she rested her head on her hand. "Me and my boyfriend broke up recently and I've just been really down about it lately…"

"Really?" Clyde asked in a sympathetic tone. Lincoln didn't tell him anything about that. "That's horrible, I'm so sorry,"

"It's fine." Kelly shrugged her shoulders but it was clear to see she was still torn up about it. "We…kinda had this off again on again relationship but I finally decided to call it quits for good. I thought it would be for the best but…I don'tknow…"

"And I guess your friends dragged you to this blind date to cheer you up?" Clyde was easily able to piece everything together. He reminded himself to talk with Lincoln about this later.

"Yeah pretty much," Kelly remembered how Star practically had to drag her into the shower to make sure she would clean herself up for this. "I know they mean well but I don't think I'm ready for another relationship right now."

"Hey I completely understand. If I knew the situation I wouldn't have agreed to all this," Clyde told her before his eyes widened as he realized exactly what he said. "I-I mean no offense I'm sure you're a great girl I just think it's the appropriate time that's all."

"Thanks I…really appreciate that actually," Kelly finally looked Clyde in the eyes and gave him a small smile.

"Anytime," Clyde smiled to her before humming a bit in thought. "Hey…wanna just, ya know, hang out instead?"

"Huh?" Kelly blinked a few times at Clyde in response. What did he mean by that?

"Ya know, just forget about this whole date thing and instead go have some fun," Clyde suggested as he pointed his thumb to the door. "I know a lot of fun places in Royal Woods, and since it's winter there's plenty of other fun stuff going on."

"R-Really?" Kelly asked, surprised by both this request and the smile that was coming to her face again. "You'd be up for that?"

"Yeah totally!" Clyde grinned at her as he stood up. "We can just have some fun and maybe it'll take your mind off things,"

"Well…" Kelly thought about it for a moment. She really hasn't done much of anything ever since her permanent break up with Tad other then lay on the couch and sigh. Even with her parents and best friend encouraging her to get out for fresh air she just didn't feel up to it. Star literally had to drag her to this whole thing. "I guess it's better than moping here,"

"That's the spirit!" Clyde pumped his fist as Kelly got up with Clyde leading them outside. "Let's go have some real fun!"

THE ARCADE

"Go! Go! Go!" Clyde cheered Kelly on as she played like a total beast at one of the games with the fuzzy haired girl going into a hyper focus. "You're gonna beat the high score!"

"Come on…" Kelly grit her teeth as sweat rolled down her head. "Almost there…"

DING! DING! DING!

NEW HIGH SCORE!

"YES!" Kelly cheered, followed by Clyde, as she grabbed some napkins from a nearby table and wiped the sweat off her forehead with it. "That's how ya do it!"

"That was amazing!" Clyde cheered as Kelly started to enter her name on the top of the score board. "I've never seen anyone play this game before? How did you do it?"

"Hah, I'm frequent the Amethyst Arcade," Kelly bragged a bit as she finished putting in her entry. "I'm kind of a pro at these kinds of games. I could show ya a few tricks if you want~"

"Please!" Clyde begged with a big smile on his face.

THE PARK

"Aaaaand, done!" Clyde said as Kelly put a top hat on a snowman they made. Once they finished at the arcade Clyde decided to show Kelly some fun with snow after she mentioned that her home dimension didn't have anything like it.

So after gathering up a few rocks, a carrot, and a top hat from a nearby store Clyde showed her the art of making a snowman. "Wow that was actually pretty fun," Kelly commented as she examined her and Clyde's work. "Aw he actually does look like a little snow person,"

"That's the point," Clyde nodded as he lighting pat the snowman's head. "Ya know some say if you sing a certain song you can bring them to life~"

Not knowing that Kelly was just messing around, star's filled Kelly's eyes as she looked at Clyde. "Really?" She asked with a big smile on her face. "Well come on! Sing it! I wanna see if it's real,"

"Heheh, alright, alright, let me just get ready." Deciding there was no harm in just doing it for her, Clyde cleared his throat before he started to sing. "Ooooooh, there once was a snowman that-"

SLAM!

But suddenly someone that was sledding through the park slammed right into the snowman, getting their entire body stuck in it as they continued sledding. "LIFE'S AS EXTREME AS YOU WANNA MAKE IT!" The person in the snowman yelled as they continued to sled off at high speeds. "WOOOOOOOO!"

"….I don't think you sang it right," Kelly commented as she and Clyde stared at the scene with widened eyes.

LASER TAG

Futuristic sounds and techno music blared around the laser tag arena as people ran around with neon vest and plastic guns, all on the hunt for other players. "Hi-yah!" Clyde let out a battle cry as he jumped out from behind some cover he took and shot at a few nearby players taking them out of the game. "Pew! Pew! Pew!"

Showing some surprising skill, Clyde ran through the arena while avoiding the fire from other players before taking them out himself. "This is my town people!" Clyde yelled with a smirk before taking out three players swiftly. "Come on whose got the guts to step up to me!"

"I do!" A familiar voice yelled as Kelly suddenly ran from the shadows and charged at Clyde while holding at her gun out and repeatedly hitting the trigger. "AAAAAAAHHHH!"

"AH! Oof! Ah!" Clyde made fake screams of pain as Kelly shot at his chest plate multiple times, the afro haired boy taking a step back with every shoot her took. "Ack! I'm…dead!"

Kelly then stopped as Clyde dramatically fell onto his back, acting like he was dead. "Oh Clyde! What have I done?!" Kelly decided to play along as she got on her knees next to Clyde's fallen body. "I can't live on like this!" Kelly then brought her own gun to her vest before shooting at herself, making a sound of pain as she fell down next to Clyde.

"…Pffft, hahahaha!" Both teens were soon unable to hold in their laughter over the situation and just started giggling together.

ICE SKATING RINK

"U-Um…Clyde I'm…not s-so sure about this one…" Kelly said nervously as she held onto some railing. After the laser tag Clyde decided to take Kelly to one of his favorite places that was only open during the winter. The Royal Woods outdoor ice-skating ring. Kelly thought it looked fun and decided to give a go…but after putting on the skates and actually stepping onto the ice she lost a bit of confidence. "M-Maybe we should g-go somewhere else…"

"Come on Kelly it's really not as hard as it looks." Clyde reassured Kelly as he skated around her, having no issue at all. "Have you ever rollerbladed before or something like that?"

"W-Well yeah…" Kelly nodded before flinching as she slipped briefly but managed to catch herself before falling.

"Well it's just like that! You just gotta moved around like you're on rollerblades, not too much of a difference." Clyde reassured her before frowning a bit at seeing her scared expression. Clyde then sent Kelly a warm smile before holding out a hand to her. "Here, I'll show you. Just take my hand,"

"U-Um…" Kelly looked unsure as she stared at the hand being held out to her.

"Come on," Clyde encouraged as he looked Kelly in the eyes. "Don't you trust me?"

"….Y-Yeah…I do…" Take a deep breath, Kelly slowly grabbed Clyde's hand and let go of the railing she was on, using Clyde to help her balance. "Ok s-so what now?"

"Just follow my movements," Clyde told her before starting to skate forward with Kelly in hand. As Clyde pulled Kelly forward Kelly took note of the way Clyde moved on the skates before beginning to copy him and started skating forward on her own. "Hey see! Told you you'd get it!"

"Ok…Ok this isn't so bad…" Kelly slowly started to smile as she quickly got the hang of it. "This does feel a bit like roller-skating, at least a little bit."

"See what'd I tell ya?" Clyde told her with a grin on his face. "Ya just gotta get a feel for the ice is all,"

"Feel the ice huh?" Kelly asked as she looked down at the ice they were skating on. After taking a moment to get herself to together, Kelly looked to Clyde and asked. "Alright you can let me go now,"

"You sure?" Kelly immediately nodded in response, making Clyde nod and smile in response. "Alright then! You got it!" And with that, Clyde let Kelly go and both started skating through the ice on their own.

"Hahahah! Whooooo!" Kelly quickly started to get the hang of things and started to glide through the ice, making sure to stay near Clyde at all times just in case. Both of them just continued to circle around the ring, smiling and laughing and just enjoying themselves But suddenly Kelly came to a hard stop as she looked to the side and saw something. "Woooooah…look at her go!"

"Huh, what do you-woooooah…" Clyde looked to where Kelly was looking and also stopped. Both were currently watching a girl with dark purple hair and a completely monotone expression on her face…skating like a complete pro. Soon enough everyone else inside the skating ring stopped skating to watch as this girl did various ice-skating tricks all the while keeping her blank look. "…Wow she's dynamite."

"Yeah I'll say…" Kelly nodded her head as she continued to stare at the woman. But suddenly a growling sound got their attention as Kelly blushed and put her stomach as it growled with hunger. "Hehe, guess I forgot I haven't eaten. Maybe we should have at least grabbed a bite at that other place,"

"Yeah maybe," Clyde chuckled a bit as he put a hand to his head. "Hey why don't you come over to my place for dinner. Be a perfect way to end the night,"

"Really? Sure that's ok?" Kelly asked with a small smile and blush.

"Totally! My dads won't mind at all," Clyde reassured before gestured towards the exit. "Come on let's go," Kelly nodded as she and Clyde skated towards the exit.

A little later both were walking on the streets together with the only sound being the occasional car that passed by. Snow continued to fall onto the ground as Clyde smiled and looked at Kelly and noticed how different she seemed now then when they first met. Instead of being disinterested and frowning and keeping her head down, Kelly was now looking around at everything as they passed by, smiling, and rose her head up as they walked to Clyde's house. Clyde had a wonderful time with the girl today and so he blushed a bit as he put a hand to the back of his head. "So Kelly…" Clyde began in a bit of an awkward tone. "I got these tickets to a movie next week and-"

"Yes," Kelly immediately answered before Clyde could finish his question. "I'd love to go with you,"

"R-Really?" Clyde wasn't expecting that to go so well but hey he wasn't complaining. "Well great! It's next Wednesday at 7,"

"Perfect!" Kelly chirped up before tilting her head. "Sure there isn't anyone else you wanna take though?"

"Oh, nah not really," Clyde shook his head, not noticing as Kelly walked closer to him. "I'd usually ask my best friend Lincoln but I ended up getting the tickets on the day he and his Pop-Pop go on their annual camping trip,"

"Well hey, lucky me then," Kelly grinned before giggling, making Clyde laugh a bit as he blushed even more. Kelly then let out a happy sigh as she glanced at Clyde. "Hey Clyde…thanks a lot for today. I think I really needed a day like this. I'm still upset about Tad but…I just gotta move on."

"Well I'm glad I could help with that, and I had a blast with you today. It was fun," Clyde told Kelly, making her blush a bit with a shy smile as she looked away. "Now come on, I'm starting to get hungry now myself!"

"Hehehe, sounds good," Kelly laughed as they continued their way to the McBride house.

UNKOWN DIMENSION

A sigh was heard in a house as a man sitting inside, who was on the taller side and had pale skin, shaggy black hair with a beard to match as well as four arms. The four-armed man looked at the papers in his hands before lowering his head. "I guess I can skip out on the gas bill this time…but what about next month…" He muttered to himself with a look of shame plaguing his face. "What am I gonna tell Rose and Amelia…"

Knock. Knock. Knock.

"Come in…" Honestly he wasn't in the mood for company but he wanted a distraction from all this.

He heard the door open and stepping into his house was someone he never expected, and hoped, he'd hear from again. "Hey Travis," Hekapoo greeted the four-armed man as she walked into the house. Over her shoulder she was carrying a large sack that seemed to be almost filled to the brim with something. "Been a while hasn't it?"

"Hekapoo…" Travis said before his look turned to one of pure hatred and anger as he stood up from the table and stomped right up to her. "You have a lot of freaking nerve showing your face here!"

"Yeah, I know," Hekapoo nodded, her tone quiet as she looked down. "The last time we saw each didn't go that well…"

"Didn't go well?! DIDN'T GO WELL?!" Travis roared as his anger over the high commission member rose. "Do you even know all the trouble you caused me to get into?! Oh wait, of course you don't! Because you bailed and left all the shit for me and the others to clean up!"

"I…I know…" Hekapoo said in shame before letting out a sigh. Travis wasn't her first stop, but she still wasn't used to this. "I'm sorry…"

"Oh you're sorry? Well that's really good to know! But sorry doesn't even begin to make up for everything!" Travis yelled as he pointed all four of his arms at Hekapoo. "You know I promised myself the next time I saw you I'd rip you apart. But I have a wife and daughter now and I don't want to set a bad example. So you better get out of my house right now before I change my mind!"

"…Alright," Hekapoo nodded her head, not putting up a fight and simply set down the large sack in front of Travis. "Just wanted to give this to you, I'll get out of your hair,"

"What is it?" Travis asked as he opened the bag…and found just a freaking ton of his planets currently. "Woah, woah, woah, what's this?" Travis asked in amazement as he took out the stacks of bills…until he came to a conclusion. "Wait…did you rob a bank or something?!"

"No! No, no, no, that's money legit. Every single bit," Hekapoo reassured him as she ran a hand through her face. Travis was even more confused as he rose a brow at Hekapoo. "Just…paying back everything I owe you. And then some, ya know interest and…stuff."

"…Why?" Travis demanded an answer. The Hekapoo he knew would never do something like this.

"…Look I've just been…thinking about things a lot I guess…" Hekapoo answered as she leaned against the door frame. "And…I realized I've just been…a massive shit bag to put it extremely lightly and theirs is…a lot of people I've wronged. And I'm not gonna be able to make up for everything I've done, not even close but…I can at least try and make things right with the people that are still around. And you were just the next one on the list,"

"…Huh…can't say I was expecting that…at all," Travis seemed to have calm down as he stood back up and looked down at Hekapoo. "Ok look I'm still mad at you for what happened but…thanks. This…means a lot. We've actually fallen on hard times lately but looks like that's over. Can even put aside some for Amelia's college fund."

"Well I'm glad I could help." Hekapoo smiled before giving Travis a wave and turning around to head out. "Well I still got a lot to do so see ya, tell your wife and daughter I said hi,"

"Yeah…sure." Travis cracked a small smile as he waved to Hekapoo. "And…good luck with your thing,"

Hekapoo simply nodded at him before closing the door and heading away. Before taking out her scissors to move on, she took out her compact phone and looked at her history. 30 new messages. Hekapoo sighed, already knowing who sent them without even checking. "Not yet…" She wanted to talk to him. Badly. But…this was something she needed to do first.
