Welp, she's here folks.
We knew it was gonna happen. Not point in avoiding the inevitable. Just gotta rip that bandaid off...despite how much hair it gonna be stuck on it.
But despite all that I did enjoy making this chapter and there are some important things in it.
So I hope you all enjoy.
In a place that looked like a meeting room everything was quiet as a number of people were simply sitting around, waiting. Among these people was queen Moon herself sitting down on the chair in front of the meeting table with an emotionless expression on her face. There were three other people in the room with her.
However all of them certainly didn't look like people.
One of them was a tall, muscular humanoid-like creature with green skin. He had a large crystal for a head, two small blue crystals on his chest, green snakes for arms and legs, and one eye. This was Rhombulus.
Next to Rhombulus was what appeared to be a floating skull with several connected swords sticking out of top of him. The skull appeared to radiated some sort of strange cosmic energy. This was Omnitraxus Prime.
Lastly was a being who appeared to resemble an anthropomorphic goat with pale cream-colored fur. He had yellow eyes with diamond-shaped pupils, four brown horns with two pointed straight upward and two curled on the sides of his head along with a long gray beard, and large bat-like wings and wearing a dark brown cloak. This was Lekmet.
And they were all beginning to grow a bit impatient.
"She should have been here by now," Omnitraxius growled a little in irritation. Sure she's showed up late a few times in the past but those moments were few and far in between and when they did happen it was only by a few minutes. But they've been waiting here for about 20 minutes for her to show up. "What is taking her so long?"
"Baaaaaaah!" Lekmet let out rather loudly.
"You're telling me Lekmet," Rhombulus scoffed as he crossed his snake arms. "She's been acting weird lately, ever since she started spending time on earth."
"Enough everyone," Moon spoke up in a firm and stern voice, though everyone could detect an irritated edge to it. She's also noted a change in behavior from her, it just didn't make any sense. "We'll give her ten more minutes to show up and then we'll start without her if need be,"
There were a few grumbles of protest, but none could argue with the queens' words. So instead, they simply waited, and waited, and waited some more. After a few more minutes the finally see a fiery portal open up in front of the door of the meeting room and out from it stepped Hekapoo herself. She had a bit of a different look now with her hair in two long pigtails and was wearing a black leather jacket and a blue top that left her stomach and the top part of her cleavage exposed along with a brown belt and dark blue skin tight jeans and black leather heel boots.
"Hey," Hekapoo gave a simply greeting as her portal closed and she walked up to the meeting table. "Sorry I'm late,"
"You're more then just late Hekapoo," Moon narrowed her eyes harshly as the last member of the Magical High Commission finally decided to show up. "And you know the rules, no portaling into the meeting room."
"Whatever," Hekapoo let out as she sat down in a chair set up at the table. She was not in the mood for any of this shit right now, hopefully this meeting would be over quickly so she can finally get some rest after what felt like months of nothing but work. "Excuse me if I didn't feel like dealing with Sean today, can we just get this started already?"
"Hmph, I suggest you try and take a more polite tone Hekapoo," Omnitraxus scolded the scissors maker, getting only an eyeroll in response. The floating skull then took a second to look over Hekapoo's cloths and couldn't help but question it. "And what is with that attire,"
"Just thought of changing my look," Hekapoo shrugged. "So what? I can wear what I want."
"But Hekapoo isn't that bit…risqué?" Moon questioned as she examined Hekapoo's new outfit that certainly highlighted a few areas.
"Hey, it shows off my assets," Hekapoo said with no amount of shame in her tone. She knew she had it going, excuse her for wanting to show off a bit. "Can't be ashamed of them,"
Moon let out a sigh as she rubbed her temples. "I dread to think what you do in your spare time…" Out of all the members of the high commission Hekapoo definitely has the most…active social life of the bunch by far.
"You've been to earth again haven't you?" Omnitraxus questioned with narrowed eyes.
"…Yeah?" Hekapoo questioned as she looked away from everyone. Truthfully she hasn't been to earth recently, but they didn't know what she's really been up to lately. "So what?"
"Hekapoo you've been slacking on your duties lately," Moon stood up from her seat as she said this, looking down at Hekapoo and her tone harsh. Ever since she started going to earth Hekapoo began to slack on her duties as a member of the high commission and there is no excuse for that. "You have to stop wasting time like this."
"Yeah!" Rhombulus spoke up as Hekapoo narrowed her eyes harshly Moon. "I couldn't get my scissors working the other day."
"Not my fault if you broke them," Hekapoo grumbled out as she continued to lock eyes with Moon.
"They're not broken!" Rhombulus yelled out stubbornly. "I swear!"
"No he broke them," Speaking up next was one of the Rhombulus' snake hands, the right one specifically.
"Used em to kill a bee," The left snake explained.
"It was evil!" Rhombulus defended his actions.
"The point being…" Omnitraxus sighed in response to Rhombulus' words and actions before turning to Hekapoo. "Hekapoo, you need to stop with these silly distractions."
"Hey! I know my rights!" Hekapoo suddenly snapped as she slammed her fist against the meeting table. "I can spent my time, how I want it! Last time I checked you didn't get on Lekmet's case when he started raiding trash cans from various dimensions!"
"Baaaaaah!" Lekmet let out in response.
"Bah yourself you old goat!" Hekapoo turned to Lekmet, making him flinch a bit in response.
"Hekapoo, you have a duty and a responsibility," Moon decided to get this back on track before they ended up going to far off topic. "But lately you've been ignoring them. You can't go galivanting whenever you want,"
"Oh yeah?" Hekapoo couldn't help but see the irony in Moon's and called her out on it. "Says the woman who can't even finding time to raise her daughter."
You could practically hear a pin drop after that comment. Everyone in the commission looked at Hekapoo with shocked expressions on their faces and Moon herself seem to freeze for a few moments. "OH SNAP!" Rhumbulus' right snake arm finally broke the silence with the left arm quickly shushing him.
"I'm…" Moon slowly responded as she narrowed her eyes harshly at Hekapoo. "Going to ignore that comment."
"Yeah, yeah, I bet you would," Hekapoo crossed her arms and nodded rapidly at Moon. She knew she had no right when it comes to judging people how to raise their kids, but she had to mention that in the moment. "Look, I get what I need to do done. All that stupid paper work hardly does anything other than kill trees."
"All I'm saying is that you need to take things seriously again," Moon tried her best to reason with Hekapoo. They were behind schedule enough as it is and they didn't need something like this putting them even further behind. "And stop going to earth. We have more important matters to deal with,"
"I'll have you know my time on earth is valuable," Hekapoo continued to argue with Moon about the matter. No way was she gonna back down on this. "Not only is Glossaryck there but your daughter, the wand, the book of spells, Lin…another magic user being affected by the frtiz. I'm keeping a monitor on them and am able to see how bad it gets."
"…" Moon was silent at first as she and Hekapoo looked each other right in the eye. Moon knew when Hekapoo had her mind set on something there was hardly anyone could do to change it, and to be fair she did bring up good points. "Fine. I'll leave it be. For now."
"Pleasure doing business with ya~" Hekapoo said with a smug tone and smile that only further annoyed Moon. "Now come on, lets just get this dumb meeting over with."
EARTH
Currently on earth, Star Butterfly was up to some very important business that required her upmost attention and complete focus! "Come on where are those cookies!" Star yelled out as she dug threw one of the dumpsters behind the Royal Woods bakery. "They should be here by now!"
"From a zombie apocalypse to dumpster diving," Jackie chuckled a bit as she and Lincoln leaned on the wall next to the dumpster Star was inside. "You sure know how to live life Star."
"Having you been hanging out with Lana again Star?" Lincoln questioned with a raised brow. The second Star said she was gonna looking around the bakery's dumpster today for holiday cookies he knew it was gonna be a long day. Though it was nice that they ran into Jackie on the way and she decided to join them.
"Yes, and she told me they always throw away the left-over Christmas cookies this day of the week!" Star answered as she briefly poked her head out from the dumpster before going back in. She soon popped back up while holding a gingerbread man that was missing its legs. "Hehehe, who's running now buddy?"
"Star please don't-" But it was too late as Lincoln was cut off by Star throwing the tossed cookie into her mouth. "Ugh…nevermind."
"Heheheh, oh chill out Lincoln," Jackie told the white head while ruffling his hair, making Lincoln groan in protest. "She's just having a little fun,"
Just then the back door to the bakery opened up with the owner of the bakery stepping out with a trash bag in his hands. "Mornin Lincoln," The baker greeted the Loud boy. "Lana waiting in the dumpster again?"
"Nope," Lincoln shook his head. "Someone else today,"
"Hmm, well ok then," The baker then proceeded to threw the trash bag in the dumpster next to the one Star was in before heading back inside the bakery. "You kids have a nice day!"
"Darn it!" Star yelled as the baker went back inside. "I picked the wrong dumpster!"
THUD!
"Huh?" Jackie let out as everyone looked towards the dumpster the baker just threw the bag into. It started to move around a bit with something thrashing around inside. "What's going in there?"
"Oh no!" Star growled out as she jumped out of the dumpster she was in and went over to the other dumpster. "I ain't letting those trash pandas take away mama's cookies!"
"Trash pandas?" Jackie questioned with a raised brow.
"She means raccoons," Lincoln pointed out.
"Pffft, that's cute," Jackie chuckled and grinned as Star grabbed the other dumpster and started shaking it.
"Give me back my cookies!" Star grunted as she continued to shake the dumpster around. She wasn't gonna let a bunch of raccoons eat all those delicious cookies! Those were for her! Eventually Star tips the dumpster over to its side making it open up and for the trash inside to spill out. "Alright you filthy animals let's throw down!"
"Halt Thief!" A new voice spoke up as they fell out of the dumpster with the trash bag the baker threw in there. The others were a bit taken aback by this as they backed away from whoever just came out of the dumpster. "For I have claimed this bag of discarded goods in the name of Solaria!" Holding the garbage bag over their shoulders was someone that could best be described as…a dirty Sailor Moon cosplayer.
She was a few inches taller than Star and had peach skin, long purple hair tied into knee-length pigtails with large buns at each base, and green eyes with bags under them. She wore a light green dress with a picture of a cat on the front, a purple bow tie with a yellow heart in the center, purple knee-high boots, yellow bunny earrings, long white gloves, and a silver spiked helmet. However, most of her cloths were in tatters and was covered in dirt with her hair also a mess and her right boot missing. And due to her messed up cloths it was possible to see a burn scar in the shape of a hand right on her stomach.
Upon seeing the dirty woman Star suddenly let out a long gasped as she put her hands on her head in shock, sparkles appearing in her eyes. "What the heck?" Lincoln let out as he looked over the dirty woman. "What's a cosplayer doing in a bake shop dumpster?"
"Guys!" Star quietly yelled as she grabbed both Lincoln and Jackie's shoulders and started to shake them around. Not once did Star take her eyes off the dirty woman. This was a total dream come true! "That's Mina Loveberry!"
"Yeeeeeeah, we don't know who that is," Jackie told the princess after she finally stopped shaking her and Lincoln. Jackie then looked at Mina again as the woman jumped back into the dumpster Star knocked over. "She looks like someone who was torn to shreds at comic con."
Star then let out another loud gasp as she looked at the two earthlings in disbelief. "How have you not heard of her!?" Not knowing who Mina Loveberry was, was like not knowing how corn was the pride and joy of Mewni.
"Because we're not from Mewni Star," Lincoln deadpanned at Star. She forgot way to often that people who aren't from Mewni don't know about things from there. "Please explain to us,"
"Ooooh, right, right, sorry." Star chuckled sheepishly before clearing her throat and pointing at Mina again. "So like I was saying THAT is Mina Loveberry! The greatest warrior Mewni has ever seen!"
Looking to Mina…they saw she was currently getting her hands tangled up in a plastic bag. "You dare to challenge me?!" Mina yelled at the bag as she tried to get her hands free only for them to get even more tangled up. "For I have not even began to fight foul villain!"
"….Are you sure?" Jackie gave Star and Mina both strange looks. That doesn't look like a great warrior. That looks like someone who has lost their marbles…or was addicted to meth. Same thing really.
"Uh-huh! She's in all the Mewni history books!" Star seemed to go into full fangirl mode as she talked about the 'great warrior' in front of them. "She's participated in the Solarian Wars against the monsters over three hundred years ago! Had picked by queen Solaria herself."
They then saw Mina trying to gnaw and chew off the bag. "Was the kingdom on short supply of volunteers or something? Hehe?" Lincoln couldn't but laugh a bit only for Star to lightly punch him on the shoulder. "Ow! What was that for?"
"Lincoln Loud don't you dare insult a great warrior like that!" Star scolded Lincoln and looked at him as if he committed blasphemy. And he might as well have! "She deserves nothing but respect and admiration!"
"Mmmmmmm!" Mina's screams were muffled as she ended up getting the back stuck on her head.
"…She's gonna end up suffocating herself," Jackie said bluntly.
"Oh she'll be fine," Star waved it off, not too worried about Mina right now. "She's a great warrior after all, this is nothing for her!"
But Lincoln wasn't exactly convinced of all, for multiple reasons. But one stood out to him above everything else. "Solaria…" Lincoln repeated as he turned to Star with a confused look. "Isn't that one of your great-great grandmothers?" Lincoln remembered seeing her statue when Hekapoo showed him and his parents the statues of the Butterfly family on Mewni.
"Sure was!" Star nodded in confirmation.
"And you said that this war she took part in was over three hundred years ago, right?" Lincoln asked as he turned to Mina again, still engaging in her great paper with the might plastic bag. "So…why doesn't she look hundreds of years old then?"
"Oh well that's because…" Star began explaining…but was unable to find an answer. "Um…because….er…well….uuuuum…"
"Is she like the magic commission or something?" Jackie questioned after seeing Star struggling to remember the answer to that. "I mean they're old but still look good. Right Lincoln~?" Jackie sent a teasing look Lincoln's way.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Lincoln crossed his arms and looked away from Jackie, knowing full well who she was referring to.
"Look all I know is that she's immortal or something," Star didn't quite know the answer herself. But she did know that Mina has been alive for quite a long time and hasn't aged a bit. "I mean even my mom knew Mina her whole life. Mina even gave my mom away at her and my dads wedding."
"Well that's…sweet?" Jackie scratched her head. It was kinda hard to picture that honestly. "I hope she was at least wearing intact cloths…"
"I'm sure she was. But I'm telling you guy Mina is literally the coolest person in the entire multiverse!" Star once again went all fan girl as she explained Mina' accomplishments to them. "She is my biggest hero of all time! She's fought in countless battles and defeated countless monsters and kept them off Mewni grounds! When we needed more land Mina would conquer more! When the monsters fought back Mina fought even harder! No monster had ever fought her and lived to tell the tale!"
"…" Both Lincoln and Jackie were silent at first, but sent disturbed looks to each other. So…she was pretty much a monster slayer? They thought Star was getting over being against monsters. "Um, Star," Lincoln was the one to speak up. "Is that all she's known for?"
"Yeah pretty much!" Star grinned ear to ear, not seeing anything wrong with the stuff Mina was known for. The reasons why Star respected her so much. "She's defended Mewni better than anyone for centuries! The Solarian war, Festivia's five year party, and pretty much every major battle after she was recruited."
"Well I admit it's cool," Jackie shrugged and was about to say something else but Star spoke up first.
"Of course it's cool!" The princess said with stars in her eyes.
"Buuuuuut…" Jackie began again with a raised brow. "I thought you were moving away from all that anti-monster stuff?"
"Plus she's obviously a nut job," Lincoln pointed to Mina who was once again chewing through the bag over her head.
"Oh come on," Star waved off all that, thinking nothing of it. "Who doesn't love a little nuts with their chocolate?"
"Well people who are allergic to nuts for one," Jackie joked for a bit before putting on a more serious look. "But for real though she doesn't seem the most…stable right now."
"Aw relax," Star reassured the skater girl before gesturing to Mina. "It's obviously some sort of advanced warrior training."
"Suffer my wraaaaath!" Mina yelled as she started to run around in circle…before running right into a telephone pole and falling down flat on her back. "If you strike me down, I will only become stronger!"
"Star." Lincoln gave the princess a blank look and tone.
"Look I'll just go talk to her and clear this up!" Star then started running over to her idol. "Brb!"
"Star wait…" Lincoln tried to get Star from running over to the obviously mentally ill woman but was too late in stopping her. "Great…"
"….Sooooo…" While they were waiting for Star Jackie looked to Lincoln with a smirk on her face. "How's your girlfriends been~?"
"She's not my-!" Lincoln began yelling only to cut himself off and sigh. He knew denying it would just lead to more accusations. "Nevermind…I haven't seen her in a while…"
"Still?" Jackie knew about Hekapoo suddenly leaving earth and not coming back, but she figured the scissor maker would have surely come back at this point. Or at least answer Lincoln's freaking calls and text "What has she been up too?"
Lincoln let out a saddened sigh as he looked down with a frown. "I wish I knew…" Jackie put a comforting hand on his shoulder as he wondered just what Hekapoo was up too.
"Hello Mina!" Star greeted her hero, hardly able to contain her excited, as Mina managed to tear away at the bag enough to reveal her face again and actually breath air. "I can't tell you how excited I am to meet you!"
"Why?" Mina asked skeptically as she grabbed her trash bag of discarded goodies protectively. "Are you a cop?"
"Oh, no, no, no, no! I'm Star Butterfly and I am like your biggest fan!" Star introduced herself to Mina in a giddy tone. Mina Loveberry actually knows her name now! "So what're you doing here on earth?"
"I'm on vacation!" Mina explained as she jumped all the holiday cookies from the garbage bag all over her, the ones with frosting on them sticking to her hair. "Doctors orders!"
"Wh-wh-wh-what are you gonna do on your vacation?" Star while stuttering heavily.
"I will let the soul be my guide!" Mina dramatically yelled as she stood up and let her dirty pigtails blow in the wind. "And wander off to the depths of this unseen planet."
"…That sounds like something hippies in vans would say," Jackie said as she looked at the scene in front of her. On one hand it was pretty funny but on the other it seemed Star was taking whatever crazy thing Mina was saying seriously. "Star I think this girl is seriously off her marbles."
"Shush!" Star waved Jackie off, making Jackie cross her arms in response, as she gave Mina an eager look. "So hey, if you're looking to check out earth I can give you a little tour of Royal Woods if you want! And maybe in exchange you could possibly…teach me all your great warrior secrets and train me to be a warrior like you?"
"Hmmmmmm…" Mina hummed in response as she looked over Star before shrugging. "Yeah okay."
"Really?!" Star could hardly believe it! This was the greatest day in her life! She was actually gonna get warrior training from THEE Mina Loveberry herself! This was a once in a lifetime opportunity! "O great Mina, you will not be disappointed."
"But first I must test you!" Mina stated with a stern look as she pointed right at Star. "I must see if you truly have the heart of a warrior!"
"Anything!" Star put a fist to her heart. "I shall take any test to prove to you I have the heart of a true warrior worthy of you!"
"Get this bag off my head!" Mina yelled as she tried to get the bag off her head once more. Star then started to assistant Mina with trying to pull that wicked bag off the brave warriors head. "Ooh, ow. A, E, I, O, U! Ahh. Ow."
"Are we really letting this happen?" Lincoln asked in a tone of disbelief as he looked at Jackie. "We can't let Star hang out with that whack job."
"Eh what's the worst that can happen? She seems completely harmless," Jackie shrugged it off and tried to remain cool headed about all this. While she did agree with Lincoln that Mina was a bag of jelly beans, it's not like she was a that dangerous. She struggled to get a plastic bag off her head, a low-level enemy. All those stories Star told about her were probably exaggerated at some. "Worst scenario they just end up causing a little mischief around town. Not like Star hasn't done that before plenty of times."
"Jackie that's…ok that's true," Lincoln admitted with Jackie having a smug smile on her face. "Still I don't think we want Mina to influence Star or anything like that,"
"Look we'll just follow them around to make sure nothing bad happens, come on let's go," Jackie gestured Lincoln to follow her as the skater girl took off after Star and Mina. "Should at least be funny to watch!"
"If you say so…" Lincoln wasn't happy with, but he'd go along with things for now.
"So as you can see we've got a lot of cool things here on earth!" Star explained to Mina as she walked by the 'might warriors' side as they went around Royal Woods. So far things haven't been too bad other then Mina making the strange comment now and then. But Jackie and Lincoln made sure to keep a close eye on them incase something did happen. "Plenty of places to have fun and places that serve delicious food! It's pretty great here!"
"But there is a clear lack of defenses!" Mina shouted as she observed the area around them. It seemed like a nice simple town…and there was the problem! They were totally defenseless, what would happen if a foreign force invaded? "Where are the cannons? Where are the guards? Where are the moats with the fire breathing piranhas?!"
"Fire breathing piranhas?" Lincoln and Jackie repeated.
"Oh Royal Woods doesn't have any of that," Star answered Mina with a simple smile. "Things around here are peaceful so there's no need for stuff like that."
"Ain't no such thing as peaceful!" Mina yelled as she rose up a finger. "First rule of being a warrior, there is no such thing as peace! There will always be enemies around every corner waiting to ambush you!"
Star gasped dramatically in response as she covered her mouth and looked around. "Wait, you really think so?" Star asked before turning to Lincoln and Jackie. "Lincoln, Jackie, is there anything around?" Lincoln face palmed in response.
"Ya see! When you were looking around an enemy could have swooped down from above and knock ya right on your noggin!" Mina pointed out as she tapped her fist against Star's head a few times to prove her point. "Rule two one being a warrior is too always be focused and prepared for battle!" Looking around, Mina spotted Rusty walking nearby and pointed to him. "Allow me to demonstrate!"
Rusty was whistling to himself as he walked through the sidewalks of Royal Woods, not really up to much and just enjoying his day. In other words he had just got turned down by yet another girl and was just trying to walk it off. "Hey! Earth citizen!" A female voice spoke up to Rusty, making the ginger boy turn around and see Mina charging towards him. "Prepare to face the wrath of a true warrior!"
"True what?" Rusty questioned before-
WHIP!
"AH!" Rusty whelped in pain as Mina grabbed her pigtails and used them to whip Rusty. "What the hell?!"
"Stand your ground and fight!" Mina yelled as she started chasing Rusty while continuing to whip her pig tails at him. "Fight for your honor as a warrior!"
"Stop it!" Rusty yelled as she continued to run from Mina while occasionally feeling her hair whipping at him. "I'm not into this stuff!"
"Yeah! Get him Mina!" Star cheered as Jackie and Lincoln watched with widened eyes. "Show him why you're the greatest warrior ever!"
"Star! You gotta stop this!" Lincoln told Star as he watched one of his friends getting hair whipped by the warrior lunatic. "She's attacking Rusty!"
"Oh he's been through worse Lincoln," Star shrugged it off, not thinking too much about it. Like this was the first time Rusty was beaten up by a girl. "Besides he probably did something to deserve it earlier."
"True as that may be Star," Jackie spoke up next. "She can't just attack innocent civilians like that! Make her stop!"
"Ugh, fine, fine, I got this." Star rolled her eyes. Her friends just didn't realize that this was expert warrior training! This could save all their lives one day! So while Mina was busy trying to tie Rusty down with his own shirt Star walked up to her. "Yo Mina, I don't think you're gonna have to worry about this guy. This is just Rusty, a low-level threat."
"Low level huh?" Mina asked as she finished tying up Rusty. She then grabbed him by the hair and set him up on his feet and glared at him. "Look at you. Unprepared for a basic attack, you have disgraced your town and yourself! Leave now and then never return!"
"Geez, first time a girl rejected me before I asked them out…" Rust grumbled as he started stomping away.
"That is why you must always be ready for battle young warrior!" Mina explained to Star as she put a hand on the princesses head. "A warrior's honor and dignity is the most important thing about them!"
"Honor and dignity!" Star repeated with sparkles in her eyes.
"Ok Mina you can't just go around attacking people like that! You're gonna be charged for assault like that!" Lincoln scolded the purple haired woman with a glare as he and Jackie walked up to her. "Listen I get that things work differently on Mewni but on earth you-"
"Ah! Ah! Ah! Ah! Ah! Interrupting!" Mina put her hand in front of Lincoln's face to cut him off before pointing at the front of a nearby store. "What is that?!"
Star looked to here Mina was pointing and saw her looking at a Pegasus kiddy ride. "Oh that's just a kiddy ride," Star explained to Mina with a shrug. "It's not really anything to-"
"I have found us a noble steed!" Mina yelled as she ran towards the kiddy ride and hoped on it. "Ride my noble winged steed! Fly us to the mystical cloud city of cloudlandia!" Mina then slapped the butt of the fake Pegasus a few times to try and get it to move.
"That's not how it works Ms. Crazy!" Lincoln yelled at Mina with an annoyed look.
"Alright buddy let's get moving." Mina hopped off the kiddy ride and tried pushing it to get it to do what she says. This beast proved to be more resilient if it didn't listen to her warriors will from the star. "I command…ye…to move!"
"Uh maybe you should stop before you-" Jackie tried to say but was unable to as Mina ended up breaking the Pegasus right off from the rest of the ride. "Break it…crud."
"Ah! My ride!" Suddenly an employee of the store they were in front of walked out and saw Mina breaking the kiddy ride! "It still had another year left in her!"
"Ah the cops!" Mina yelled as she rose her hands and started running away. "Everyone scatter!" Star and Mina started yelling as they ran away before they could be apprehended.
"Still think she's harmless?" Lincoln as Jackie as they chased after the two.
"Ok, I've been wrong before!" Jackie admitted as things seemed to only get worse the more time they spent around Mina. "Maybe we should try and get Star away from her,"
"Ya think?!" Lincoln snapped.
After a few minutes of running, the four of them finally came to a stop now that they were sure that no one ended up following them. "Whooo, now that was a close one," Star chuckled as she whipped some sweat off her head. "Guess we can just call that a warriors work out right Min-MMPH!"
"Shush! Shush! Shush! Shush!" Mina covered Star's mouth with a finger as she pointed at something nearby. "Now what is that?!"
Mina was pointing at a nearby café where some people were choosing to enjoy the goodies they got from it on one of the tables outside. And sitting was one of these tables was none other then Kelly and Clyde. "So what did you call this stuff again?" Kelly asked as she looked inside the cup she had. "It smells good!"
"It's hot chocolate," Clyde explained to her with a small smile on her face.
Kelly then took a sip of her hot cocoa and her eyes immediately widened as she felt it hit her tongue. "Mmmmmmmmm!" Kelly hummed in delight as she licked the remains of the drink off her lips. "That's really good!"
"Told ya," Clyde said with a smirk on his face.
"Hmmmmm, a Wollett on this planet," Mina rubbed her chin as she narrowed her eyes at Kelly. "Veeeery suspicious!"
"Oh that's just Kelly," Star explained as she smiled at the sight of her and Clyde having hot chocolate together. Good to know those two really hit it off. "She's a friend of mine! And it looks like she and Clyde are getting along nicely~"
"A warrior must always trust their instincts!" Mina instructed Star as she wrapped one arm around Star and pulled her close while pointing to Kelly and Clyde. "And my instincts are telling me we should investigate them!"
"Oh, I get it," Star smiled eagerly as she caught onto what Mina was saying. "Spy mission~"
"Exactly!" Mina clapped her hands together. "Stealth mode activate!" Mina then face planted on the ground and quickly started worming her way to where Clyde and Kelly were.
Star quickly copied Mina and also started worming her way over to her friends. "I can't believe she's going along with this…" Lincoln rubbed his temples as he felt a headache coming to him.
"We'll bail her out in case she goes overboard," Jackie reassured Lincoln with a hand to the shoulder while giving Star a worried look. At first Jackie didn't think Star following around this crazy lady would be too bad but now it's beginning to get really concerning. "Which is very possible at this rate…"
Lincoln let out a sigh as she shook his head, trying to get his mind back on track. "Ok look, I got a bad feeling about this, and not just for obvious reason." Lincoln has been getting bad vibes Mina since he first saw her. Not just because she looked and acted like a crazy hobo. But there was something else to Mina that just seemed…sinister. "I'm gonna head back to in the house and see if there's anything in Star's book about Mina, maybe the old queens talked about her. You keep an eye on them and keep them from robbing a bank or something,"
"You got it dude," Jackie nodded at Lincoln, sounded like a good idea to her. "I'll call if something happens."
"Good luck with everything!" Lincoln called out to her as he started running in the direction of his house.
"Halt strange hairy creature!" Jackie heard Mina yelling.
CRASH!
"My coco!" Kelly yelled out.
"Ah! What's going on?!" Clyde let out in fright.
"Oh no…" Jackie groaned out as she quickly went to go do damage control.
"Come on…come on…where the heck is it?" Lincoln asked himself as he went through Star's room for her book of spells. But for some reason it wasn't in there. He considered looking in her closet of secrets for it but went against it for two reasons, she would probably kill him if he went into her closet again and on purpose this time and he doubted she would stash the book in there. "She usually keeps it under her bed, where could it be?"
Heading out of Star's room he was about to ask any of sisters if they've seen it on the off chance they had. But before he could do that the door to the bathroom door opened and out from it stepped his mother. "Hey mom, any chance you've seen Star's spell book anywhere?" Lincoln asked Rita as he turned to her. "I looked in her room but it's nowhere in there,"
"Actually I believe I have," Rita smiled as she pointed down. "I think I saw it down in the kitchen earlier. I was just there with your father."
"The kitchen?" Lincoln blinked in confusion. Why the heck it would be there? Can't imagine why his dad would need it for anything. "That's weird, well thanks mom." Lincoln then went down the stairs and quickly came into the kitchen where he saw his dad making a batch of pudding…with Glossaryck.
"Aaaah, I must say Lynn your pudding as got to be some of the best in the multiverse," Glossaryck complimented the chef as he sniffed the batch he was making. "It's just divine."
"Gee thanks," Lynn Sr smiled at the book masters words. "It's an old family recipe."
"Glossaryck?" Lincoln called out to the blue man with a raised brow.
"Lincoln my boy you're just in time to try our new batch," Glossaryck said as he looked at the pudding with an eager smile. "I feel like this one might be the best yet."
"Yeah come join the fun son!" Lynn Sr encouraged as he looked to his son. "Glossaryck was just helping me make some more of my signature pudding."
"Um, maybe later," Lincoln shook his head. He had to stay on track, no time for distractions. Every second he was wasting meant another second Star was spending with that whack job. "I just need to check Star's spell book now."
"What'd she get herself into this time?" Glossaryck instantly asked having heard this song and dance many times.
"Nothing yet, but she met someone called Mina Loveberry." Lincoln explained the situation, making Glossaryck's eyes widen a little bit. "I just have an uncertain feeling about her and I need to check what the book says about her, assuming there is anything."
"Oooooh, no," Glossaryck groaned out as he immediately started rubbing his head. "You've gotta be kidding me…"
"I take it you know her?" Lincoln inquired with a brow raised in interest.
"Sadly," Glossaryck groaned out. Of course Mina had to come to earth. Glossaryck was glad she was the only one of those whack jobs that was left but Mina was a constant pain in the rear to deal with. "Long story short, you're gonna wanna look in Solaria's chapter for info on her and the Solarian warriors in general. Just brace yourself, that chapter isn't exactly kid friendly to say the least."
"Noted, thanks Glossaryck." Lincoln nodded at the tiny blue man before he dragged the book into the other room.
"Uuuuhh, should I be worried about something?" Lynn Sr asked after hearing everything. What the heck was Solarian Warrior?
"Oh, no not at all," Glossaryck reassured the Loud father with a smile. "You're fine Lynn,"
"If you're sure," Lynn Sr was still a bit skeptical but he would trust Glossaryck's word on this one.
"No come on," The book keeper clapped his hands. "This pudding ain't gonna stir itself,"
And so Lincoln had dragged the book of spells into the living room. Thankfully his sisters weren't in there at the moment so he could do this in privacy. "Let's see…Solaria…Solaria…" Lincoln repeatedly muttered as he flipped through the pages of the incredibly cluttered book. But after a few minutes of flipping through pages until he finally come across the start of the chapter of Solaria the Monster Carver. "Ah-ha, here it is. Now let's see what's in here."
And as Lincoln read through the chapter…he was able to see the kind of person one of Star's ancestor's was.
It started off by Solaria writing about how the war with the monsters started, but things quickly got more morbid as things went on. There was a page explaining how to kill various species of monsters, what was especially disturbing was that she would constantly say that the monsters would be happier dead. But the real topper was during the end of one of her battles she and soldiers gathered up the bodies of all the monsters they had slain and lit them ablaze as a victory fire.
"What the absolute hell…" Lincoln's face twisted into one of absolute disgust as he read more about this queen. Something was seriously wrong with this woman, it was like she was completely deranged. "This girl was an absolute psychopath…" After flipping through a few more pages, Lincoln finally found what he was looking for.
"Solarian warriors…" Lincoln muttered as he came across the page that contained the spells for making the process. And on it was a picture of Solaria's first volunteer for this process…Mina Loveberry. "Huh, she actually looks pretty cute here," Lincoln couldn't help but comment. The Mina in the picture was still kinda dirty but in a charming sort of way. She seemed more put together and had big sparkly eyes and just seemed full of life.
But that didn't last for long as Lincoln head the first spell that was used to make Solarian warriors.
B.E.A.R – Brute Eager Attack Roar: Imbues a person with brute strength and eagerness for battle while taking away their ability to feel fear. Next to it was a picture of Mina with a war face and looking ready to rumble.
B.O.A.R – Blunt Offense Attack Roar: Blunts a person's conscience in battle and makes them completely lack empathy towards their enemy. Next to it was a picture of a more muscular and wilder looking Mina.
And finally R.A.P.T.O.R – Rage Aggression Panic Torpor Olfactory Response: Enhances all senses in battle. Next to it was Mina looking like she completely hulked out. Her teeth were sharp and the pupils in her eyes were gone.
"….This…This is not good…" Lincoln soon realized that Mina wasn't just some crazy lady. She was a battle hungry empathy lacking monster slaying crazy lady! And Star was currently doing whatever it was she said. "I gotta get Star away from her. Now!" Suddenly Lincoln felt his phone vibrating in his pocket, quickly taking it out he answered it. He didn't have to look at the ID to know who was calling. "Please tell me they didn't rob a bank."
"Thankfully no," Jackie reassured him before letting out a sigh. "But they are causing…trouble."
"What kind?" Lincoln was honestly afraid to ask what Mina had gotten Star into.
"…The kind that involves making a mess of the town and making a lot of people mad," Jackie explained, making Lincoln let out a loud irritated sigh. "Did you find anything?"
"Yeah, yeah, and it's not good." Lincoln closed up the book as he started to tell Jackie exactly what he found. "Queen Solaria was some blood hungry psychopath and made spells to turn other people into blood hungry psychopaths."
"And let me guess," Jackie immediately had worry fill up in her voice as Lincoln explained this too her. "Mina is the worst one?"
"The first and the worst!" Lincoln rose his voice to show this was a serious matter. "Get Star away from her now!"
"Okay, just get here as soon as possible," Jackie told him with urgency clear in her voice.
"I will, good luck," And with that Lincoln hung up on Jackie and got ready to make it back to her and Star as soon as possible.
"Hold up my boy," Glossaryck suddenly floated up to Lincoln from the kitchen to give him a little bit of a warning. "In case you're about go and try separating Star from that nutcase just know you in particular might up making her quite mad."
"I don't care," Lincolns said without a hint of fear in his voice. No way was he gonna have that psychopath hang around Star anymore. Not as long as he had something to say about it. "I'll take my chances. I don't care who I have to fight to keep my sister safe."
"Well then I wish you luck," Glossaryck gave Lincoln a small bow as the white head shot out the door and started heading in the direction of where Jackie and Star were. "Believe me, you'll need it."
"Hey Glossaryck," Lynn Sr called out to the blue man from the kitchen. "How much chocolate do you think I should add?"
"From my experience, you can never had too much," Glossaryck told Lynn as he floated back into the kitchen.
Pandemonium.
That was the best way to describe Royal Woods right now as Mina continued her 'warrior training' with Star. The results of which involved the destruction of many things, ruining a lot of people's day with their madness, and setting a hot dog cart on fire. All the while Star laughed it all off and completely convinced that it was just Mina showing her the ropes of being a true warrior.
And Jackie has had enough.
"Enough's enough," Jackie said with a dead serious face. Right before Mina could drag Star along to destroy something else, Jackie grabbed the princess's wrist rather tightly and pulled her away from the purple haired lunatic. "Ok Star, I get that you're excited to meet your hero. I know I'd flip out if I'd met Tony Hawk, but I think you need to get away from her. She's…not exactly the best influence."
"Oh come on Jackie what do you mean?" Star waved off Jackie's concern with a carefree smile. "We're just having some fun,"
"Fun?" Jackie repeated with a frown. Was Star actually serious about this? "Star you're smarter than this! Take a second and actually look at the town!"
Jackie then gestured behind them to show Star all the destruction they left behind her. Star couldn't help but wince a little bit as she saw everything. "Aw come on…" Star tried to reassure both Jackie and herself that everything was fine. "It's not that bad."
Right as Star said that a street light fell down and landed on a bench where a bum was currently sleeping. "Ah! The end is near!" The bum said as the light landed on him.
"….." Jackie took a deep breath threw her nose as she gently grabbed Star by the shoulders and sent a worried look right into Star's eyes. "Star…I'm worried." Jackie told the Mewman with nothing but sincerity in his voice. "Like seriously worried."
"What?" Star tried her best to look away from Jackie. "What are you so worried about?"
"About you ok!" Jackie snapped making Star flinch as she once again found her eyes meeting Jackie. "Look, dumpster diving for Christmas cookies is fine. It's quirky and I like that about you. But you're tearing the town and doing whatever that whack job tells you to do. I mean if she said to jump off a cliff and land on your head would you do it?"
"….Well…." Star couldn't seem to form an answer as she looked down, starting to look a bit ashamed.
"Star please, think about this. Really think about everything you've been doing and how that lady has been acting." Jackie pleaded to Star to get this through her head. She needed to get Star back on the right track. "Can you honestly tell me that she's not crazy, or that you haven't been hurting people or causing property damage?"
"I mean…" Star looked back on the scene of the town and how her day with Mina went. They did…kinda just attack Rusty, and destroy a kiddy ride, and ruin Clyde and Kelly's day out, as well as set that hot dog cart on fire, and knock all those book shelves down at the book store, and broke a ton of windows. "I don't know…"
Jackie let out a sigh. Looks like if Star really wanted to understand Mina's true colors, she would have to reveal what Lincoln explained to her. "Look I called Lincoln and he told me exactly what Mina was," Jackie began explaining making Star's eyes widen in interest. "Apparently your great something grandmother Solara was some twisted monster killing nutcase and essentially made other people into twisted monster killing nutcases with super soldier spells or something. And Mina is one of them!"
Star's froze at that as a mortified expression slowly came to her face. "W-What…" Star only knew about Mina being the greatest warrior on Mewni that has somehow managed to stay alive and young despite the years. But learning that was exactly what Mina was…
"Hey!" Cutting Star off from her thoughts as Mina herself as she turned around to narrow her eyes at the two girls. Jackie glared at the Solarian Warrior while Star flinched and gave Mina a frightened look. "Warrior don't lag behind! Get over here slow poke! I found a new location for us to seize and lay waste over!" Mina proceeded to point to a nearby bank.
But Star could response Jackie went in front of Star and shielded her. "She's not going anywhere with you!" Jackie glared at Mina right in the way. Like hell she was gonna let Mina take Star anywhere else.
"Step out of the way civilian!" Mina ordered Jackie while trying to shoe the skater girl away. "This is official warrior business!"
"I said-" Jackie was about to repeat her words but wasn't given the chance.
"Interrupting!" Mina held her hand out in front of Jackie's face, further angering her.
"Woah guys let's just talk about this," Star tried to reason with both Jackie and Mina, not wanting to see a fight break out. The town was already torn up enough.
"I'm not Star spend another second with you!" Jackie yelled right at Mina without a trace of fear. "So get lost!"
At this Mina glared dangerously at Jackie. "I said…out of the way!" Mina's tone had change. It had a dangerous edge to it. Mina then glances at Star while pointing at Jackie. "Fellow warrior, do not let this obstacle stand in your way, subdue her!"
"Wait what? N-No Jackie is my friend," Star told Mina while putting a hand on the skater girls shoulder. "This is just a misunderstanding."
"Part of being a warrior is showing no mercy to anyone in your way!" Mina explained to Star while rising her voice, her patience growing thin. "I thought you wanted to learn how to be a true warrior!"
"I do I-" Mina cut Star off before she could finish.
"Well you're not gonna slay any monsters by being a pushover!" Mina scolded as she got right into Star's face, causing Jackie to take a step back along with pushing Star away from the crazy warrior. "A wimpy warrior is a dead warrior!"
"Woah, woah, woah, woah, hold the phone!" Star yelled after Mina brought up killing monsters. Who said she wanted to do anything like that? She just wanted to learn the ways of being a warrior! "Who said anything about killing monsters?"
"Well deeeer," Mina let out like it was completely obvious. Warriors killed monsters; it was warrior 101 for crying out loud! "It's only the duty of every single warrior! Slaying any dirty monster in your path and painting the ground with their blood obviously!"
Star only looked at Mina with shock and horror. Mina practically seemed giddy when she said that! Star even saw Mina's fingers twitch, like she was just itching to do just that. "That's it!" Before Star could react Jackie suddenly reached into her bag and pulled out her wand. Once it was in Jackie's hand it transformed into a trident and Jackie's shell cheek marks came back. Jackie glared at Mina as she pointed the trident wand right at her. "I think it's time you leave earth!"
Suddenly before their very eyes Mina burst into blue flames with the light of it blinding the two girls. When they looked again they gasped as they saw Mina transform. She was taller, looked completely roided up, her pupils were gone, and her teeth had gotten sharp. "Make me!" Mina's voice had also distorted, sounding more demonic and deeper now.
"Oh boy…" Jackie gulped a bit in fright and the monstrous transformation Mina went through. Looks like Lincoln wasn't kidding about anything he said, not that Jackie was doubting him of course. But she wasn't about to be intimidated and run now, if Mina wanted a fight then she'd get one! "Wings of the ocean!"
Making the first move, Jackie twirled the trident around and created wings of water on her back and flew up into the air to try and get an advantage of Mina. But the Solarian warrior proved to match this as her pigtails started spinning around like helicopter blades allowing her to fly up after Jackie. "Oh you've gotta be kidding me…" Jackie groaned before aiming her trident at Mina. "Storms Lightning!"
A bolt of lightning then shot out of the trident and struck Mina. But while the Solarian warrior did stop for a second she quickly took the attack off. "Ha! Is that the best you got!?" Mina yelled as she shook of the attack easily and went after Jackie. "It's gonna take a lot more then that to take down a warrior!"
"Woah!" Jackie let out as she narrowly managed to dodge a punch from Mina. Trying to gain some distance from the insane warrior, Jackie quickly started to fly away with Mina hot on her tail. "Crap! Crap! Crap! Ok Jackie, think. She may be stronger but your smarter." Quickly forming a plan, Jackie aimed her trident at Mina again and started twirling it around. "Smoke Wall!"
A large plume of smoke was shot out right at Mina making her stop right in tracks as she was blinded and started to cough wildly. "Hey! That's cheap!" Mina yelled in between coughing. As the smoke started clearing Mina started looking around for where Jackie was. "Now where did you go?"
"Right here! Water bullet!" Mina then found herself being shot down by concussive blast of water. Jackie had flown above Mina and aimed her trident at Mina and fired out blast of water from the tip repeatedly. After a few shot Mina was sent to ground leading to Jackie landing as well as she continued to fire at the Solarian warrior. After a few more shots Jackie twirled the trident around as the gem in it glowed brightly as Jackie tried to make a finishing blow. "Tsunami cyclone!"
Firing out of the trident was a large cyclone of water that directly struck Mina and sent her back quite a bit. Once the attack ceased Jackie lowered her trident and looked forward to see if Mina was down. After a few seconds of silence Jackie smiled thinking she had run…until she saw a blur heading right at her. Mina was charging at Jackie with a loud roar cry while rearing her fist back ready to attack. "JACKIE!" Star called out in horror as she was about to watch the person she called a hero attack one of her best friends.
"Ice wall!"
Before Mina could reach Jackie however, a wall of ice was created in front of her that halted her progress. "Oof!" Mina let out as she ran head first into the ice. "What the what?!"
"Made it…just…in time…" Coming onto the scene with mist coming out of his right side was Lincoln. He was breathing heavily from running all the way here and a few beads of sweat were coming from his forehead. Lincoln then looked to Mina and winced as he saw her muscular form in person. "Yikes, talk about ugly."
"Hey!" Mina yelled as she glared at Lincoln viciously. "What do you think you're doing getting up in our biz?!"
"If it involves Star then it is my 'biz' and it involves getting you off our planet!" Lincoln as he punched his right fist forward and went another wave of ice at Mina causing her to leap out of the way. "Gonna make you regret coming here!"
"So Lincoln and Jackie teaming up huh?" Jackie asked as she walked up to next Lincoln with a smirk. "This should be fun, just don't do your hair up in a pompadour again ok?"
"Oh my God you're never gonna let that go are you?" Lincoln groaned as Jackie giggled.
As she landed on the ground again, Mina glared at her two opponents and smirked. "Two vs one huh?" Mina then let out a rather sinister chuckle. "Good. I love those odds!"
Mina then charged at the two teens again and got ready to battle Star could only watch the scene with an expression of complete disbelief. "No…no…" Star suddenly fell to her knees and clutched her head. Her body started to flash purple as her heart beat increased and her breathing became heavy. The person she idolized for so long as was now attacking one of her best friends and her brother. "Stop it…stop it…stop it…"
"Air cannon!" Jackie shouted as she repeatedly thrusted her trident and launched compressed blast of air at the magical super solider.
"Ice shuriken's!" Lincoln aided Jackie and sent out a barrage of shuriken's of ice at Mina.
"Hah! You think those wimpy spells are gonna work on me!?" Mina shouted cockily as she charged shoulder first at the two like a foot ball player. The attack hit her but they didn't even make her flinch as she only continued to charge. "Now this is an attack!" Mina then jumped up and slammed her fist on the ground, Lincoln and Jackie narrowly dodging, causing the ground to shake and crack.
"Crap she's tough!" Lincoln gritted his teeth as he fire another blast of ice at Mina only for her to once again effortlessly shrug it off. "Alright then let's try this! Flame spiral!" Aiming his left hand at Mina Lincoln shot out a tornado of flames at the Solarian warrior, intense enough to instantly melt the ice and snow around them.
Mina let out a surprised gasped as she saw the flames heading towards her. Crossing her arms in front of her face Mina was able to block the attack but she did grunt a bit from the heat of it. "Wait a minute…fire AND ice?" Mina narrowed her eyes at Lincoln. There was no way right? But it all added up, fire out of the left side and ice from the right? And even the color of each hand! "It's you! I've finally found you!"
"Uuuuuh, what?" Lincoln immediately became confused and looked to Jackie who simply shrugged. "What are you even talking about?"
"Don't play dumb with me FREEZERBURN!" Mina shouted in rage as she pointed at Lincoln. "I'm impressed you've managed to live this long but I've finally found you!"
"Ok wow you really are crazy…" Lincoln couldn't even understand what the hell Mina was on about. Just seemed to be more mindless babbling from an insane lady. "I've never even met you before!"
"Save it! You made darn sure I'd never be able to forget you!" Mina then pointed to the burn scar on her stomach. Narrowing his eyes at it, Lincoln did note that the hand shape did seem similar to his. But once again he's never even met Mina before! "For the crimes for burning me! Defending the disgusting monsters! And go against Queen Solaria herself I sentence you to JUSTICE!"
Suddenly Mina sped towards Lincoln, moving faster then ever before. "LINCOLN!" Jackie shouted out to the white head as Mina had the full intent on striking Lincoln down.
"No."
Right as Mina was about to attack the Loud boy, a fist suddenly caught her own effortless. Standing in front of Lincoln was Star, her body now glowing bright purple. And she was giving Mina the most anger and hate fueled glare she's ever had before. "Leave…him…ALONE!" Before Mina could react Star struck her right in the chest.
"GAH!" Mina let out in pain as Stars punch knocked the wind out of her and sent her back a good distance. Mina grunted as she struggled to get up and clench the spot Star punched, wincing as she touched it. "O-Ow…ugh…that…hurt?" Pain. It was a feeling Mina hadn't felt in a long time that she practically forgot how it felt.
"Leave." Star said firmly as she slammed her foot on the ground causing cracks to spread throughout. Tears were heard as two extra arms formed on both sides of Star underneath her original arms. All of them with their hands balled up into fist and ready to throw down. "NOW!"
"You traitor!" Mina roared at Star as she slowly stood back up. "I'LL SHOW YOU WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MESS WITH MEWNI'S GREATEST WARRIOR!"
Both Mina and Star glared at each other. The blue flames around Mina intensified and Star's purple body glowed even brighter as the earth around them shook.
RIIIIP!
But before the two could start fighting, the sound of a portal opening got all their attention. Turning to it…they saw it was a fiery orange portal. "Hey snowball…" Stepping out of it was none other then Hekapoo, her head slump down and her eyes looking tired. "Sorry about not answering your text and calls I-" But as Hekapoo was talking, her eyes snapped open and she seemed fully alert as she saw Mina Loveberry here, on earth! "What the-Mina?!"
"Ah shoot! It's the fuzz! I got bounce!" Mina's pigtails then started twirling again and the Solarian Warrior quickly started to fly away as fast as she could.
"Wait!" Hekapoo tried to go after Mina, but as fast as she was she couldn't fly. Plus she had bigger fish to fry right now. "Ugh, what the hell was she even doing her?"
"Hekapoo…" Hekapoo flinched a bit as she heard Lincoln speak up to her.
Turning around, Hekapoo faced Lincoln and gave him a nervous wave. "Oh, um, hey Lincoln," Hekapoo awkwardly waved to the white head. "How ya-"
But Hekapoo was cut off as Lincoln suddenly rushed to her and wrapped her in a tight hug. "I missed you…." Lincoln whispered to her with a soft smile on his face.
Hekapoo found herself blushing at both the hug and his words as she hesitantly returned it. "I…..missed you too…." Hekapoo admittedly as she relaxed into his embrace, the flame above her head forming into a heart briefly.
Jackie smiled at the two's reunion before looking to the side and see Star sitting on the curb. She was back to normal, though her shirt had holes on the side now, and she was looking at the ground in shame. "Hey…" Jackie went up to Star and sat down next to her to try and comfort her. "Doing ok girl?" Star only shifted in place as Jackie put her hand behind her head. "Right…stupid question…"
"…For as long as I can remember I looked up to her…" Star said with a low tone, still refusing to look up. "I thought she was the coolest person in the multiverse. I wanted to be exactly like her for so long. I…never considered that…she was like that…"
Jackie gave Star a sympathetic look while wrapping an arm around the princess and pulled her close. She could understand how she was feeling, it always sucks when someone you look up to turns out to be a horrible person. "Well hey," Jackie smiled as she tried to think of something to say to cheer Star up. "There's a little saying we have here on earth about stuff like that."
"What's that?" Star asked as she finally looked up at Jackie and wiped away some incoming tears.
"Never meet your heroes," Jackie told the princess with an amused smirk. "Because heroes are people. And people are shit."
"…Hehehe," This seemed to do the job as Star let out a chuckle. "At least not all people" Star then wrapped Jackie into a hug that the skater girl happily leaned into. "I'm sorry about today."
"It's fine, at least I got to spend it around you." Jackie said, making Star smile more and start blushing. Jackie then handed Star back her wand. "And sorry for grabbing your wand there."
"Hey like I said last time, I don't mind," Star reassured her as she took it back, the wand immediately changing once it was in Star's hands. "You can use it whenever you want."
"Heh, thanks." Now it was Jackie's turn to blush a little. "So what do you wanna do now?"
"Honestly…" Star let out a sigh as she leaned her head back. "I just wanna sit on my butt and do nothing."
"Then let's go to my place and watch a movie." Jackie offered as she stood up, help Star stand up as well with the princess leaning against the skater. "I can make your fav cocoa."
"Mmmmmm," Star hummed out as she snuggled up to Jackie. "Have I ever told you you're the best?"
"Hehe, maybe once or twice," Jackie chuckled as she and Star began walking back to the formers house.
"Where have you been?" As Star and Jackie left Lincoln was talking for Hekapoo in the first time in what felt like forever. "I haven't heard from you since we baby sat Buff Frog's babies."
"I just…" Hekapoo held her arms as she struggled to think of an answer to tell him. She's spent every day since then trying to make things up to the people she's wronged. At least the ones that were still around. But for some reason she found it hard to tell that to Lincoln. "It's complicated…"
"You can tell me," Lincoln reassured her of this. He wouldn't judge her for whatever it was she was doing while she was away. "You know that,"
Hekapoo let out a sigh, she had no idea why this was hard to admit. "I just…I had some…things I needed to work on." Hekapoo explained it the best she could without making it too complicated. "Stuff I had to clear up and junk like that…"
Lincoln simply nodded in response. He could tell something was up with her but he wouldn't press for specific answers. "…You look tired," Lincoln said quietly as he looked over Hekapoo. She didn't just seem tired but exhausted it.
"….It was a lot." Hekapoo admitted while looking down.
"…Hey….you wanna hang out?" Lincoln offered with a simple smile. "We can just sit on the couch and do nothing. I really don't mind. I just, I missed you a lot."
"I…I missed you too," Hekapoo gave Lincoln a small smile of her own as she nodded a bit. "And yeah, I'd really like that actually, a lot."
THAT NIGHT
"Zzzzzzz…..zzzzzzzz…." Hekapoo lightly snored as she unknowingly cuddled next to Lincoln in her sleep. Both were sitting on the couch with a blanket over the both of them with the TV on. While Lincoln was still asleep, Hekapoo ended up conking out in the middle of it.
Lincoln looked to her and smiled and couldn't help but note how adorable as she was while asleep. "Hehe…" Lincoln laughed a bit as he found himself wrapped an arm around the sleeping scissor maker and pulling her closer to them. "I guess I really do have a crush on you,"
"Zzzzzz…" But Hekapoo was completely unaware of this as she continued to sleep.
"Good night Pookie." Lincoln softly told her as he got himself more comfortable.
And it's over now!
Thank the lord we're done with Mina for now.
Sadly she will be back but we got some time before that so no need to worry for a while.
So hope you all enjoyed this and make sure to favorite, follow, leave a review and stay tuned for the next chapter...
