Author note: Yes, this chapter is quite a bit longer, the only way I could have made the prolog any longer would have been including all of you readers into the planning Selene and Usagi were doing behind the closed doors of the prayer room and I would like to keep that a secret until we come upon the affected parts of the story. Also before we begin again I'd like to thank Astraearose-silvermoon for her help and time in what she's done to help this story flow a bit smoother when read. I do not own nor make money from Sailor Moon, I would love to meet Naoko though since she is helped my younger self learn that I can be strong.
Seeing as Usagi will know her mother from when she was previously Serenity and her mother from her current era, I will be using Mother and Mom to differentiate between the two even if the original story has Usagi call her current mother figure Mother it will be changed in this story.
Example- Selene = Mother and Ikuko(Usagi's birth mother in the current era) = Mom
For future chapters, this will also apply to other characters, even if they do not have a current era mother figure.
Also to note seeing as I made it hard to miss, yes I will be making this story roll slightly in a different direction but I hope that you will take the journey with me to see where Usagi and the gang go.

"Well! Sailor V caught another set of crooks!" Mrs. Tsukino exclaimed while unfolding the morning paper, she sighed and peered at the clock for the fourth time in the last hour, "And comparing her to our daughter these days..." She slightly raised her voice "Usagi, it's already past eight!" There was a large rustling from upstairs with a startled gasp.
"Noooo!" Wailed a 15-year-old blonde as she ran around getting her morning routine done in record time, "I'm going to be late!" Usagi exclaimed running down the stairs, tears beginning their descent down her heart-shaped face, her two long tails streaming behind her like kite ribbons. "Wake me up earlier, Mom, you dummy!" Peeking at the clock with an 'eeee!' "I'm off to school!" She spoke loudly while grabbing a piece of toast and her lunch.
I'm Usagi Tsukino, 15 years old, and in my second year of middle school until recently I had been excelling in my education and after-school activities. I am a brown belt in both Ninjutsu and Jiu-Jitsu, I had been in choir in elementary school and had a singing coach until she was diagnosed with cancer and she decided to travel the world, my parents are well off, my father a top news journalist and my mother a prominent health and beauty sales lady who works from home, my brother is annoying but we'll deal with him later. You are probably curious about why I say 'until recently' well I had been in a bad accident that my school doesn't believe happened.
{cue flashback} The Tsukino family had taken a trip out to the country to visit Kenji's side of the family for Usagi's 13th birthday. They had stopped at a gas station to take a break and grab snacks and use the restroom when a semi swerved and hit the car, Usagi who had opted to stay in the car had been critically injured when her neck snapped causing whiplash and a slight neck fracture and was rushed to the nearest hospital. She was there for most of the year due to a coma that she almost died from due to her neck and other complications that arose during the mend her body was on, during her time in the coma she started to dream of a princess who lived on the moon and her life in the moon kingdom. These dreams seemed to kickstart her body into healing and her stats started to come back from the edge that her family feared was the end and the tests that kept coming back were showing numbers above the average and showing that any health issues that might have come up wouldn't be a problem. These results gave the hospital the green light to let her go home but to take it slow while getting back into her hobbies and after-school activities. After a while, her dreams started to feel familiar and slowly became her memories as the dreams soon turned to meetings with her long-dead Mother, Queen Selene who helped her remember her past life. Soon Selene warned Usagi to act normal and help in any way possible when the time came. {flashback fades to black} I will admit that I have let myself become a bit lazy and emotional.
Usagi ran in a mad dash to school, her breath coming out in quick pants" Aww! Why does morning have to come anyway? I'm sleepy and I don't want to go to school!" She huffed heavily as she stepped on something throwing her balance and tripped.
"Oww! I think I stepped on something." She rubbed her side looking behind her, a memory of a black cat flitting through her mind. " You're kidding! A cat?!" The cat groaned "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Did it hurt?" Usagi reached for the black kitty and gently picked her up, cooing as she did.
She took a moment to look over the black cat in her hands and noticed not only the crossed bandages but the deep amethyst eyes and the intelligence that it seemed to hold. "You're a black kitty! You're looking a bit weak." Sweat-dropping Usagi asked, "Maybe because I stepped on you?" The cat shook and groaned so Usagi brought the cat close "Hee hee! You're so cute! Forgive me huh?" She asked giving the cat a huge kiss with a big mmm! shocking the cat into focus which led it to scratch her face.
"Kyaaaa! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!" She moved the cat away from her face and it started to paw at its forehead "That wasn't anything to scratch me for...Oh!" Usagi took notice of the Band-Aids while the cat meowed and hissed at them "What's this? You've got Band-Aids on your head? You want them off?" Usagi shook her head and began to reach for them "Okay, okay." She gently pulled them off with a furry ripping sound and the cat jumped out of her arms and off her head landing on a wall behind Usagi.
The cat whose forehead had a small yellow crescent moon on it stared intently at the young girl while the girl stared back with her wide curious eyes. Usagi started to wonder what she was forgetting when the school bell rang twice, surprising her with a loud and confused GAK! She sprang into action and ran for the closing gates "I've got no time to be doing this! I'm already late!" She pushed herself past the gates just in time only to be late for homeroom.
"Usagi Tsukino-san!" Miss Haruna yelled, "You're late again?!" The teacher pushed the young girl out to the hall and told her to wait until she came out to chat with her. "Oh, honestly! Forcing a delicate young lady to stand in the hall!" Usagi's stomach began to grumble "I'm a little..." grumble "...hungry." she quickly pulled out her lunch box and began untying it "Eh heh heh!" She giggled forking up part of the omelet "I did drop my toast this morning after all! Ahhh!" Usagi was enjoying her food too much to hear the door slide open or the angry growl her teacher gave.
"Tsukino-san!" Haruna all but yelled, "What do you think you're doing?!" Usagi dropped her food back in her lunch box in distraught. This is my homeroom teacher, Haruna Sakurada-sensei. Everybody calls her Haruda. She teaches English.
"It's your attitude that makes your grades get like this!" Haruda scolded Usagi "Here's your test back!" Haruda shoved the test paper in Usagi's face pointing at it and waving it around to show the big red 30 underlined with multiple wrong marks all over it.
Usagi wailed and unwillingly took the test back "That's because I'm behind everyone else in English!" Usagi sulked back into the room and sat in her spot. She grumbled about the unfairness of the teachers not helping her try to catch up and how Haruda hates her when a boy with swirly glasses popped up to her desk. "How did you do on the test, Usagi-san?" The bell for class change began and a ginger-haired girl walked over and berated her as well "Come on! I can't believe you, Usagi! Eating like a glutton! You're supposed to be a girl!" This guy's Umino, an otaku. He's creepy! And this is my best friend, Naru-chan!
Umino pulled out his test with a carefree attitude and started to act sheepish "I didn't try as hard on this test as I usually do. Tests are just a game. Just a game." He tried to pass it off as well just that a game but for Usagi a 30 was one of the worst scores she's had all year.
Naru sweat dropped and looked at Umino with a disbelieving gasp "A game?" She paled a bit and scooted a bit away from him. "You know, you really are creepy!" Then turned around to her desk and grabbed her test while sighing and looking over her shoulder as Umino walked off to go eat and talk about new rumors and fun facts with his friends. "The only one I really wanted to beat was Umino." She said with a sigh. Usagi looked sad at her friend and sighed a tiny bit " I think 85% is really amazing" she said quietly to herself remembering when she used to help Naru out with school notes and homework from time to time and now Naru shared notes but it didn't really help Usagi get up to her old self nor her grades.
Naru-chan is pretty and smart. And from polite society to top it all off. I used to have to help her but before I left with my family for vacation, Naru-chan's mom got her a private tutor that helped boost Naru-chan's moral and self-confidence which made her happy and now she's self-competing with the nerd of the class, I personally think that's due to her having a small crush on the guy.
A few class periods later the bell for lunch started and Naru and Usagi joined their friends, Yumiko and Kuri, out in the yard and sat around chatting about this and that, Usagi tuned most of it out until one of the girls brought up a new topic. "You know about how that jewelry store was robbed? There's been a lot of that lately." Naru looked over with a slightly scared look. "That's scary." Umino, who had been eating with his friends, walked over and joined in the conversation which was one of his favorite topics.
"Sailor V captured all the robbers." Which, of course, caught Usagi's attention, having never actually paid attention to the news, turned to include Umino while sipping on her juice box. "Who's that?" Usagi looked on in interest as Umino jumped up in lecture mode.
"She's famous! A champion of justice in a sailor suit who's the talk of the town! Rumor has it she's a special detective from police headquarters." Umino paused for a small breath and Usagi pondered this new development, questioning if maybe this was something her mother warned her about.
"Hmm...so someone like that showed up" Usagi accidentally pondered aloud, she caught the look of confused questioning in Naru's eye and quickly covered for herself "It's the end of the century, all right." Usagi berated herself in her head and looked around at her friends as they bought the cover-up as part of the lazy airhead she had become. Umino on the other hand looked all fired up and asked Usagi while starting back on his lecture.
"That's right! These days, not counting the robbery, there are all sorts of weird crimes happening one after the other. You really have to stay on top of the news!" Umino went on but the group of girls turned on him and continued his lecture as a few started to swoon over jewelry and shiny baubles.
"But I can understand what would make someone rob a jewelry store!" Yumiko said looking like she could go for a new piece or two herself while Kuri looked hopeful her family would buy a new one for her. "Jewels are so pretty. Huh? They're so shiny...Me, I want a diamond ring!" Usagi giggled with the girls and then looked up and over at Naru with big hopeful eyes.
"Naru-chan, your family runs a jewelry store, right? Ohhh I like rubies! Pearls are great too!" She gushed over the thought of the two gems while Naru threaded her fingers and rocked back and forth giggling. "Eh heh heh! Actually..." Naru got a bit more excited and giggled a bit more "...we've been having a huge sale ever since yesterday! There's stuff at prices even we could afford!" The girls all gushed loudly and overpowered Umino in his tirade lecturing, stopping him mid-sentence and with a loud KYAAA! they all gathered close to Naru "You're kidding! I'm going to stop by on the way home!" The two who knew their families might get them something jumped up and down "Me too! Me too!" Usagi said joining in even though she knew in the back of her mind she probably shouldn't.
A few hours later after school, the four girls from the lunch group found themselves at Naru's family jewelry store, Jewelry OSA-P. Usagi and her bright-eyed friend glomming in front of the glass faces and hands pressed upon one of the displays of a ruby necklace and earring set. Naru was behind them looking at the two with worry. "In the center is a billion-yen Pigeon Blood. It's a ruby. Next to it is a yellow diamond. Of course, we can't put these on sale though." Both girls quickly backed away from the front of the store glass case with an 'Eyaaah!' and looked inside at the large group of people within.
The front of the store was plastered with sale signs and Clearance sales! "But look at all the people. They're all middle-aged women!" The group walked in and passed the crowd in search of Naru's mom, they found her near the middle of the store with a megaphone in her hand.
"Naru-chan!" Welcome back! Are these your friends?" Naru's mom asked startling Naru a bit "Mama!" She spoke with a nod. In reaction, Naru's mom set down her megaphone and waved at the small group looking cheerful. "Come on in! It's a little crowded, but come in and take a look. There are inexpensive items here too! And I have a special discount for Naru-chan's friends."
Naru and Usagi stayed back a bit as their friends jumped at the chance to get some pretty jewelry, Naru was a bit pensive and Usagi looked slightly scared of the woman she knew. Naru sighed and shook her head "We've never had a sale before. Maybe Mama has finally come to her senses as a shop owner." Naru's mom was back to her megaphone yelling "Now step right up! We've got bargains!" And other such phrases to pull in more customers while Naru and Usagi looked on.
Usagi worried her nails while pondering Naru and her family "With such a pretty mother. Pretty intense." She looked over at her friends who had found great deals from the Waa! Waa! she was hearing. One piped up "This is so pretty! I got a great grade on the test, so I'll get Daddy to buy this for me!" Other shoppers around her were finding great deals as well with "Wow! and I'm so going to get these!"
Everyone was so hooked on looking around for more great deals, no one even noticed the rather evil look that slid onto Naru's mother's face ...Heh heh... she smiled and looked on at the ongoing chaos around her. I need more youth energy! I need to lure more in! Many more! She looked on and started up her spiel again. Usagi looked on getting more and more frazzled, her friends and the other shoppers could be heard Kyaa-ing all over but Usagi had no use in even looking "I wish..." She sadly walked out of the store, keeping out of the way and walking away from Naru who quickly walked to the back to do her homework.
Usagi had tears coming to the forefront of her eyes and she started to crumple up her test. "I can't ask for any rewards when I got 30% on my test." She sniffled "And my allowance for the month ran out." She further crunched up the test while still grumbling and sniffling "Time to kill this test!" She said letting go of her emotions, she carelessly tossed it over her shoulder not looking around or listening to her surroundings "Better go home." 'Besides, I am pretty sure that I stored some of my most favorite jewels and accessories from when I was on the moon in my subspace pocket...and possibly some other items, I'll need to check in the near future.'
Her test hit someone in the face with a thok and the person it hit stopped to fix his shades. "That hurt you know!" When the blonde didn't stop he continued "Are you listening, Ms. Bump Head? Are you trying to put bumps on my head too?" He questioned with a higher-than-thou attitude there for pissing off Usagi. With rage she ground her teeth and turned on her heels with all the grace of the princess she had previously been and let him have it "I-I'll have you know these aren't 'bumps,' they're called buns!"
By this time the man had bent down and uncrumpled the paper that had hit him, not caring for the girl in front of him. "30 percent?" He asked unimpressed he tossed it back at her hearing 'they're called "buns!"' comment she had all but screeched at him "Study harder, Miss Bun-head!" He said with the same attitude he started with, frazzling Usagi again, and further pissing her off she grabbed the test off her face and tucked it in her bag to keep the rude man from getting it again.
"M-Mind your own business!" Her voice rose a decibel, with which she spun on the ball of her shoe again with the grace she had previously known and stalked off. She looked over her shoulder with a slight blush recognizing part of the tuxedo from some of her memories of the parties her mother had hosted and pondered, What's with him?! Dressed in a tuxedo in the middle of the afternoon! She scoffed and let her anger die slightly with a huff Pretentious jerk! With that last thought, she marched off letting her anger pass and the grace faded away unnoticed.
The man lowered his shades and peered at Jewelry OSA-P, hope and his quest in his eyes "It's an unusually large jewelry shop, isn't it?" He spoke to himself letting his dream pass through the front of his mind, "It may even be here. The 'Legendary Silver Crystal.'' He turned away from the shop and walked on as if the encounter and his words had never happened. Usagi scuffed the bottom of her shoe on the sidewalk and kicked a pebble in the process "Aww...I don't want to go home holding this awful test..." She whined, she continued on her way and started to pass her favorite place to go after school and viewed a new poster that had been put up pyuun and gam sounds from games filled the air people sitting inside Crown game center, the local arcade, and snack shop, Usagi hugged her school bag close to her chest while staring at the poster.
Wow, Sailor V... Must be nice! She doesn't need to study. And I'll bet it feels good to take down the bad guys. More noises of pyuun and gam sounded off through the glass windows of the center. She blushed at her thoughts and paused at the noises.
"Maybe I'll stop at the game center on my way home." She said to herself as she walked through the open doors and went to try out the new game. She quickly realized she wasn't the best at it but she kept trying "Ehh? I can't defeat them..." Pyuuun Pyuuun "...these low-level bad guys." Uff! Uff! "Maybe there's some ultimate attack for them." Dm Dm Dm Usagi let the game beat her again and tried once again. Her attention was divided between the game and a voice that had popped up behind her.
"Oh! You're still in uniform, Usagi-chan! Oh! On your way home from school?" More pyuun gam gam gam came from the game in front of her and the voice sidled up next to her to reveal itself as a guy who worked at the game center "The Sailor V action game? There, do it now! If you don't move, you'll lose, quick!" He said giving her pointers and cheering her on with an "All right!" Usagi giggled as she passed the level that kept beating her, her mind supplying He's like a kid! Her mood turning for good now that she succeeded in one small thing.
Tee hee hee! This is the guy who works at the game center. His name is Motoki Furuhata and his family owns the building the game shop is in so he works hre to help them out and pay for college. He's good-looking and nice! I sort of had my eye on him. He always helps me out with small things like games and used to help me if I got stuck on a problem when I did my homework here, I know he has a girlfriend for I've seen them together a few times so I really only think of him as my honorary big brother now and will protect him from heartbreak if I must!
Usagi kept playing the game with it supplying pyuun gamgam every time Usagi or the little monsters did something in it when a loud MYAAA! Made the guy and Usagi pause from the game "Huh?" Usagi said intelligently turning around to spot the make of the noise "Aren't you the same black cat from this morning" she spoke her mind expecting a reply from the cat she thought could talk, her memories flew past stopping every once in a while, with either the cat in front of her lecturing her or a tall beautiful woman with long black frizzy hair that held the same buns from her royal family. "You wandered in here kitty?" Usagi questioned getting a small nod and big pleading eyes from the small feline which made Usagi think she got the wrong cat mixed up with her memories. The guy who was still standing next to her piped up.
"Ah! This cat had been hanging around here for the past two or three days." Making Usagi search it a bit harder so as not to say something that would put her between a rock and a hard place. She took the only option she thought she had open to her and mentally scolded herself even while she spoke up knowing that this could cause a lecture later if this cat were who she thought it to be.
"Ah ha ha! Look, look! It's got a crescent-shaped bald spot on its forehead!" Usagi further pushed the 'joke' by pointing slightly at it which caused the cat to stare at its forehead in slight curiosity. Usagi noticed and it freaked her out slightly in reaction to her previous thoughts so she acted confused and backed off the game "Um... I think I'd better be getting home" she said as she picked up her bag and gave the feline a wide berth then subsequently rushed home.
She reached her home and walked in "I'm home!" She walked further in the front tiles to start removing her shoes when her mom piped up. "Usagi? You're coming home late, aren't you?" Mrs. Tsukino bustled into the front hall and stopped Usagi's quest of removing her shoes. "I met Umino-kun in town a little while back! I hear he got a 95% on his test! And I have it on paper the school was going to help you! SO...what did you get on your test, Usagi!" Mrs. Tsukino looked all happy-go-lucky and as beautiful as a snake about to strike. Usagi got a little pissed off and started to tremble and grind her teeth while slowly, very slowly pulling out her test You jerk, Umino! Going and shooting your mouth off like that! Usagi slowly handed the test to her mom and started to back up "30 percent?!" Mrs. Tsukino trembled and let her anger begin to seep through her mood and face.
"Uuuusaaaagiiii!" Mrs. Tsukino, not one to let Usagi's new personality and attitude hold in her household raged at her daughter "If you're going to bring home this kind of grade..." she said following Usagi to the door looking more and more the snake Usagi was currently picturing her as "...then don't bother even coming home! Go find yourself a tutor and have them knock some sense into you!"
With that last statement, Mrs. Tsukino slammed the door in Usagi's face and stormed off a few feet since she had noticed Shingo walking up the sidewalk home. Shingo walked up to his sister and followed his mother's idea in hopes of getting his once awesome sister back and booted her in the butt "What do you think you're doing, you dumb bunny!" Shingo used the momentum of his kick to slightly push Usagi out of the way of the door "Did you get kicked out of the house again?!" He didn't mean the rude comments but he was starting to miss the sparring they used to do when she got home from her after-school activities but Shingo took his chance to finally take his sister down a notch, with a finger to his eye and his other hand on the door he turned slightly pulled the bottom of his eye down, stuck out his tongue and began into the house. "I want a big sister who would fight back and help me with my homework!" he then turned inside and slammed the door. Usagi picked herself up, her emotions in disarray and with a breath, and let them take control.
"Shingo! You're a little brother! Act like it!" She set up for a sidekick, changed her mind last second, and went for a kick she saw in her new addiction – Sailor V Action Arcade game – and with a whoosh she forgot about having no padding or kicking with the right part of her foot shouted "Sailor V Kick!" hitting the door wrong, her mind still letting her emotions go strong felt the pained GONK from the door. "Aaaa…" Usagi gingerly set her foot down causing fresh pain to blossom "Eeee…" with the pain becoming too many tears sprang to the corners of her eyes as she began to pound on the now locked front door. "It hurts" she regretted letting herself go soft on her training and pounded harder on the door. "Let me in, I'd like to wrap my foot! Open up, Mom!" her mother, attempting to block out the loud pounding and voice of her daughter, was helping Shingo with his homework when he spoke up. "She's going to bother the neighbors." The frazzled pair looked at each other and sighed, the yelling having become hiccup-filled crying and Ikuko put down Shingo's homework and quickly opened the door for her daughter who had sunken down and taken off her shoe to reveal a rather swollen set of toes. "Okay, Okay! Get in here, let's wrap your foot. Honestly!" She winced at the eeee! Usagi let out as she limped in.
-Later that night-
Back at Jewelry OSA-P a man in a crisp tuxedo, a top hat, a billowing cape, and a pure white mask stepped up to the building in silence, his mind set on finding the 'legendary silver crystal'. Meanwhile inside, Naru's mother was up to something. "Eh heh heh…" she laughed holding a tube that glowed with light. "I've collected quite a lot of energy now. My queen will be pleased!" Elsewhere in Tokyo, women all over town wearing jewels they had just started to weaken.
" That's weird…ever since I came back from that jewelry store sale…" multiple women getting rest for bed were starting to collapse, " I just don't seem to have any strength." Naru's 'mother' cackled again. "Yes it was a perfect idea to sell jewelry adorned with these special jewels that suck out people's energy, heh heh." Naru's 'mother' laughed as the tube glowed brighter "And I'll just take the real jewels for myself!"
Naru heard shuffling coming from the backroom so she took a peek noticing her mom's acting rather odd "But what I'm looking for doesn't seem to be here." The woman muttered aloud moving gems and other jewelry aside. Naru walked into the room curious, "Mama?" Naru's 'mother' stopped and looked over her shoulder with a rather sinister smile causing Naru to run back to the main room.
-Back at the Tsukino house-
Usagi got to her room after having her foot wrapped, having dinner and doing some stretches, and warming up to try and relax her now stressed muscles. "Aww…I'm worn out from all the crying." She slammed her door softly and tossed her homework on her desk, "I don't see why mom has to be so angry, I've tried to tell her my teachers aren't helping me! Really!" She sighed while looking at a few pages of different subjects. " So my current grades aren't the best…it's not my fault I was stuck in that stupid hospital for a while." She grabbed her math work flipping to the page they were working on and saw that despite Naru's note and her observation of Umino none of it made any sense to her.
"Aww…" she closed the book and with a pout, she lowered it back to her desk. "It's not that I don't want to do this, it's more the fact that I CAN'T do this." Usagi looked at her other books again and groaned before sitting down on her bed and rubbing her now healed foot. I like having this quick healing ability, it is so useful for when I do stupid things like miskick the door like earlier. Usagi sighed letting her foot go and laid down on her bed before letting her mind drift.
"Maybe I'll take…" she rolled to her side and tucked up to cuddle her pillow "…just the tiniest…" she tried to imagine her old life "…little nap…" her eyes closed and she noticed she was walking or at least thought she was walking when she heard a ping ping. She opened her eyes and noticed she looked like an 8-bit version of herself dressed like Sailor V and the area looked like that video game she had played earlier. 'Am I playing games in my dreams? All right, no more hot coco before…Huh? I am actually in the game? Did I become Sailor V?' She went about the game to the best of her memory when a crocodile monster popped up in front of her, she drew the sword and slew the beast. With a few plong plooong coming from the sword 'I did it! I hit the monster! I can beat the game!' Usagi kept walking further when she noticed a figure and she ran to it. 'It's Motoki from the game center!' A chararing could be heard as she beat the dream game, "I saved him and that kitty-chan!..." Usagi's mind once again attempted to remember something long forgotten to the forefront 'That crescent-shaped bald spot kitty-chan…' Usagi felt something jump on her bed but was too slow to protect herself when she was woken by scratches "KYAAAAAN!" to her face.
She whirled to face the offender while fanning her face to fight the burning feeling "That hurt!" She blinked away some tears "What are you doing?!" She went to speak again when her mind finally caught up and supplied the name and memories of the black cat that now stood in front of her.
"It isn't a bald spot!" The female cat scoffed "Don't be so rude!" Usagi's mind supplied a 'But of course Luna how rude of me' but she heard her mother say 'Continue to act as you have been my Daughter, do not reveal anything yet, don't trust anyone until you know they are ready.' The cat sat down and cleared her throat "AHEM…" Usagi took the moment to successfully look speechless and confused "My name is Luna. I've been looking for you, Usagi-chan. Usagi snickered in her head while thinking 'There's Luna's lecture ability…to be able to go on and on and on….oh right I should look surprised' Luna was still talking when she tuned back in "I was getting worried about what I'd do if we never met up." Luna finished and Usagi took the chance to act as if she were dreaming, "…Good night!" and turned away from Luna in false fright.
"Usagi-chan! This isn't a dream!" Luna crowed, Usagi on the other hand had already gone to what she now affectionately called 'Mother's Garden' where she raged and ranted at her mother. "I want to take this chance, Mother! Things can be different then when we were on the moon, you and I already talked about this. I know you said wait but..." Queen Selene put her hand up to pause her daughter before she could continue her ranting. "My dear Serenity, yes things can be different than when we were a royal family on the moon but we aren't sure when the enemy will awaken and Luna isn't even positive about making a moon senshi since you weren't needed to fight before, but as we've planned this time around that's what you'll start as, but please don't make me regret giving you this permission. Again as I've figured out not everyone was as we knew them and everyone we have yet to look into could be a spy for the enemy, my child." Usagi stared at her mother and just gaped at her before starting her rant again with more feeling, "But this is Luna and I trust her. You showed me what Pluto saw and I say nothing is set in stone. I will change it this time and work with the Senshi and this time mother. This time we will defeat the Dark Kingdom, and save the four heavenly kings." Queen Serenity nodded to her daughter and spoke softly, "You always saw things differently my daughter, I leave this plan to you then, I will pray for your success."
Luna shook her head at the 'sleeping' Usagi whose face was splitting in half from the smile she now held. "Okay, I'll wake you up" Luna scoffed when she noticed Usagi wouldn't turn over with a lecture, "I've got a present for you, Usagi-chan." Luna jumped and flipped in mid-air to reach in her subspace pocket to pull out the broach she had been holding on to. Usagi, having finished her conversation with her mother and had turned over to have a long drawn out conversation with her most trusted friend from the past, paused, sent an inquiry to her mother, who sent back a somewhat smug 'I wasn't going to just give you a transformation pen' and left it at that. Usagi looked at the broach in surprise, her eyes growing wide as she realized what it was and squealed while jumping up off her bed excitedly and like the 15-year-old she is, gushed over the pretty piece of jewelry while her mind waited for the perfect time to set her plan in motion.
"Wooooow! It's so cute! It is really pretty!'' The broach was a gilded golden circle with a ruby orb on top, a topaz orb to the left, a sapphire orb on the bottom and an emerald orb to the right. In the center of the broach was a golden moon of the royal family sitting under a silver star with a pink tourmaline orb set in the center, white pearls sat outside the star as accents. After gushing she rushed over to her vanity and her mirror and began attaching it to her uniform she had yet to change out of and Luna sweat-dropped while trying to get ahold of the situation. Usagi's eyes glowed a bit as she used this moment to see what information Luna held. "You mean I can really have this? All right!" she posed in front of her mirror and smiled tenderly at the image she saw behind her of Luna looking for all the world a mother who just gave her child new earrings. "Such a pretty broach!" Luna used the pause Usagi left to cut in.
"Usagi-chan listen to me." Usagi gave Luna most of her attention while looking for the point where she could give Luna a surprise and get the cat on her side. "There are a string of odd crimes being committed in the Tokyo area, there are crimes the police won't be able to solve. And so..." Luna jumped to Usagi's vanity and the broach began to shine and gleam with silvery rainbow light, "Usagi-chan you've been chosen as the guardian. You have a duty, you know! To gather your allies and defeat your enemies."
Luna smirked seeing Usagi looking at her in awe and surprise before continuing in her announcement "Also, you must discover the location of our princess," She paused for a breath and stood tall to continue her, now, lecture on the duties Usagi would need to do "...and" Usagi cut the cat off "Luna!" she looked over at the cat acting for the world as if she hadn't expected the glow.
Luna took the initiative and raised her paw in the air, "You still don't believe me? Try calling out 'Moon!" Usagi smirked to herself and put her hand over the glowing broach "Moon?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. Luna continued on, saying 'prism power!' But Usagi veered off and took control of the transformation. "Moon genetics override!" She crossed her hands over the broach then as the glow brightened she threw one arm up in the air with a flourish, "Moon Crystal Power! MAKE-UP!" The silver light burst out of the broach and surrounded Usagi, making her float slightly off the ground and her clothes burst into ribbons coming from the center of her chest while light flew around her. When the lights faded her clothes had transformed into a silver leotard, shimmering gold shoulder pads, a glittering blue sailor cape, and a sparkling blue double layer short skirt, a red bow sat at her chest with the broach pinned to it with a similar bow sitting right above her hips on her back. Red knee-high mid-heeled boots with silver borders pointing just past her knees with a silver crescent moon in the middle. Golden earrings with a star and moon dangled from her ears while pearl clips similar to her princess clips sat just behind her bangs, her buns covered with rounded rubies placed on silver bases and a red velvet choker with a crescent moon sat in the middle of her throat. Her hands and lower arms were both covered with gloves of the same silvery material her leotard was made of, with red lining the ends and ending just before her elbows. Lastly, a gilded golden tiara reminiscent of her princess tiara shone on her forehead with a glowing crystal. In her hand, she held a feathered white mask, and she stood with a triumphant pose as her hair took on a silvery sheen.
"Luna! I've so much to…" Just as she went to let the cat in on her plan, the jewels on her buns dinged and a voice could be heard calling out, she quickly put the mask on her mask as Luna looked on with shock and quite possibly a bit of anger. Usagi could not only see but hear her closest friend, Naru being captured and choked. "Help me! Somebody help me! My mama is…" 'That's Naru-chan's voice! What is happening to Naru?!' She pulled off the mask, dropping it, Luna found her voice, Usagi grabbed her and started to open her window, and quickly jumped to the roof. "Luna we can chat later, right now Naru-chan is in trouble and I have to go help!" Her hair pins went off again, it was Naru finishing her earlier sentence. " Help me! Mama is trying to kill me!"
Luna looked at her new charge in shock "What? Who are you?! What in Selene's name is going on? Chat later? USAGI…" She cut herself off and Usagi rushed into the night.

Naru struggled in the hands of her 'Mother' as said woman cackled "Eh heh heh heh, No...I am not your 'Mama." Foolish human, right now your mother is in the basement dead from starvation" Naru screamed and flailed more attempting harder to escape from the youma who had torn off her 'face' to reveal the sunken face of a demon.
-In the Jewelry OSA-P basement-
Mayumi Osaka struggled in her bindings trying to escape, she had managed to get to a wall and sit up now she was trying to break the ropes or wiggle out of them. She heard her daughter scream and tripled her efforts.
-Back on the main floor-
Naru continued to struggle against the demon to release her or squirm enough for it to drop her. "Noooo! Mamaaa!" she wailed and cried out louder trying to get anyone to hear her and possibly help her out. Up on the second floor, a window opened and the masked gentleman stepped in just enough so he could peek down to see what was going on just as the front doors slammed open and our young heroine ran in, a black cat jumping from her shoulders to the ground.
"You get away from Naru-chan, you monstrous old hag!" The masked man ducked just out of sight while the 'old hag' turned and growled at Usagi. 'Who do you think you are?!" Usagi almost smirked. She took a regal pose while raising her voice slightly, "Me? I'm…" she paused realizing she shouldn't yet out herself as the moon princess when she heard her mother sigh and Usagi swore she heard her say 'Here let me help you senshi of the moon.' Luna looked to the moon as it seemed to brighten just slightly shining down on her charge which confused her just that much more and Usagi gained not only her confidence but the hint her mother had been giving her and laughed, "I'm the pretty Guardian in a sailor suit! The guardian of beauty and justice!" Usagi used the grace and flow from her past life as she seemed to flow as she twirled, giving herself an unearthly glow. "Sailor Moon!"
She finished off her introduction with a cute pose and smiled widely. The youma let go of Naru and faced the newly minted Sailor Moon and looked at her before answering. "Sailor Moon?! Never heard of you." She then threw her arm in the air and called upon the energy she had stolen, "Awaken! We must send our great ruler energy, my slaves!" Around town women in trances 'awoke' and walked to Jewelry OSA-P.
As the mob of women started to trickle in some with broken glass bottles from who knows where, Usagi had the mind to run but knew that this was only the beginning and as the mob of tranced women grew larger the mutated woman who had taken on the form of Naru's mother laughed loudly HEH HEH HEH "Murder her!" while a few of the ladies with the broken glass bottles ran at Sailor moon before one threw herself at the senshi with her bottle, Sailor Moon knew that glass would end up making deeper gashes that would take longer then she wanted to have to explain to anyone and jumped out of the way, as she did she miscalculated her jump and landed on her knees which ended up with her scraping them.
"That hurt! Now I'm really wishing that I never stopped my activities! That's that! Tomorrow I'm signing back up!" Sailor Moon grumbled under her breath for the most part as the group of women began to fill the store making almost perfect circles around both Sailor Moon and the youma formerly known as Naru's mom.
Luna woke out of an anger-filled daze to see Sailor Moon sitting on her butt holding her now bleeding knee and grumbling rushed over to her and began pushing her to stand back up. "Come on Usagi, or whoever you are, Do something!" Sailor Moon glanced down at the cat and nodded before standing up and letting the cat jump on her shoulder. "Fight! Take down the enemy!" The cat pushed as Sailor Moon got closer to the circle to get the creature.
"Ehh!" Sailor Moon properly blocked a reach from one of the ladies in front of her "And how, Luna, do you expect me to do that?" Tears of anger started to form as she blocked more attacks and ducked under a few thrown bottles. One woman managed to punch Sailor Moon as she was blocking another grab and managed to cause her some pain.
"Owwwww!" Sailor Moon sniffled as the angry tears began to leak from her eyes and land on the uniform's sailor cape. She pushed the offending woman back with a shove and when the women began to claw to reach for her she let her emotions get the better of her again and angrily stomped her foot "Why did I let myself go soft? Why do I have to suffer? Why did I not try harder?" Her feelings began to translate into energy around the rubies on her buns and as her rant got more anger-filled, they began to let out rumbling energy that gained power with angry self questions to herself before gaining peak energy and knocking over women with her last couple of statements.
"I can't take this! I'm getting back to my after school activities as soon as I can!" and with that last word the windows shattered and the masked man up top took the chance to get a better position to better help this now angry young lady. "Urrrrn...I'm feeling numb. Where are these high frequency waves coming from? Urhn…" The creature screeched and put her hands to her ears as the rest of the women she had energy drained and tranced fell back into unconsciousness.
Unknowingly to himself, the masked man used a bond untouched for millennia "Quit crying! It's your time to act! Now sailor moon!" The feeling of the now faint bond being used caused Sailor Moon to pause and calm down a little while realizing the Endymion was alive and possibly near. She tried to look around but Luna jumped on her head surprising the senshi of the moon out of her wonder.
"Now Usagi! Grab your tiara!" Luna batted at the gilded piece of metal on Sailor Moon's forehead before continuing her demand, "And shout Moon Tiara Boomerang!" Sailor Moon gathered her wits putting her beloved to the back burner, for the time being, brushed her head causing Luna to jump to the ground, and as the senshi pulled the tiara off her head it became a round gilded Discus and as she poured energy into it she took the feelings she gained from her hope and yelled "MOON TIARA BOOMERANG!" and with a strong throw sailor moon threw the disk as hard as she could at the youma. which due to the pain the little pest had caused hadn't been paying attention until it was too late and the disk had cut her right through the energy core keeping her corporal.
With a final screamed "Gyaah!" The creature began falling apart as dust particles and the wind coming through the now shattered windows blew it off and out of the store. Sailor Moon, who hadn't been expecting that gasped and covered her mouth in shock as she thought "What? Are all of them going to turn to ash and vanish?" Sailor Moon shook her head and began to walk over to gather the tiara now stuck in a pillar when she heard a scuff from a pair of shoes.
"Well, I didn't find the "Legendary Silver Crystal"..." With a few more scuffs the man jumped in front of the open front area "...but I did find something most fascinating." Sailor Moon gasped, "That voice I heard…?" before looking up and seeing the night sky melding with a masked man wearing an oddly familiar tuxedo with a cape. The man looked over to Sailor Moon as he landed in front of the doors and gave a slight smile "My name is…" he paused as if to think for a second giving Sailor moon a chance to take in his oval face, angular nose, almond-shaped eyes, and perfectly set jet black hair. "...Tuxedo Mask. Sailor Moon, I'll certainly take note of you." And with a wink, he ran out the door into the night and out of sight.
Sailor Moon blushed as she continued to look after the man even after he was gone. "He's just like the famous thief Lupin….but also so similar to my beloved Endymion…" Sailor Moon clasped her hands under her chin and sighed, her heart filled with thoughts of her prince and the memories they had made. "I hope to find him soon, that would be so wonderful!" Luna jumped up onto the counter next to Sailor Moon.
"Well done, Usagi! Apparently she had taken the place of Naru-chan's mother." Luna looked at the pile of now empty clothes and shook her head before continuing. "So now you realize the situation, right? You see that the enemy has begun its invasion, and…" Luna took the moment to look over to Sailor Moon only to notice that the senshi was still staring out the window in a seemingly lovestruck daze to screech.
"USAGI!"As Luna was getting Sailor Moon's attention back the women and Naru began to reawaken from being drained of energy "Huh? What have I been doing?" one woman began to get to her feet "Urhnnn…" more women began to awaken and Luna panicked before grabbing Usagi's tails and getting her out of the store.
"Okay, Usagi, we're going home! Usagi!" Sailor Moon quickly came back to herself, grabbed Luna, and headed off into the night and back home. Now she was extremely exhausted, she dropped her transformation and just landed in her pillows and quickly fell to sleep. "Ahh… What a wonderful dream! It felt so refreshing and fulfilling! And I think I might have found Endymion!"

A crystal orb darkened as the creature was defeated and a male gripped at his arm while pondering. "Sailor Moon hmm…?" He turned away from the orb and the vague thoughts that scratched at a corner of his mind then picked up a whip from the table "You pulled a number on me, didn't you? I must in the very near future…" he used the tool to get some of his minions moving again. "...get my hands on the…" he continued to use the whip "...the "Legendary Silver Crystal."
-Back at Juban Middle School during lunch-
"And then…" Naru wildly threw a fist in the air emulating Sailor Moon from the night before, "...we were attacked by robbers, but we were saved by some guardian in a sailor suit." Naru was wildly gesticulating while explaining her experience from the night before Naru paused and flushed from embarrassment before clasping her hands together "If I hadn't passed out, I might have seen her face!" One of the girls who had been listening in on the story looked skeptical about it and eyed Naru up and down before speaking out "Naru-chan, are you sure you weren't dreaming?"
Naru, already being a light rouge from ear to ear, darkened at the possible thought of her just having a dream. From behind a nearby pillar, Usagi was quietly listening in, and before she could even think about admitting to herself that she hadn't had a fever dream about the previous night and the aforementioned fight she sent an inquiry to her mother about possibly getting crystal training if things were going to continue like she thought they would. After the broach gave off a soft glow and the gems connected to it darkened slightly in retort as if to give the reply of 'But of course my daughter!' and as Usagi sighed Luna took the chance to jump up to the blonde's shoulder and sit down. The cat then looked the girl's head over not understanding why the sigh and carefully began to groom her face and paws.
"What is it?" The black cat pointedly asked Usagi all while trying not to care about how things went last night and at least to Usagi, failing horribly due to the slight twitching of her tail. "Well Usagi?" Said girl slightly shifted her weight a bit to help alleviate some of the new weight that Luna added to her shoulders and pouted. Against my wishes and wildest dreams, it seems that last night, was NOT a dream and I will need to get back into at least Jiu-Jitsu so I can at least protect myself From the corner of her eye she could see a grin from the cat as it was noticed the shift and Usagi swore she heard a slight pleased sound coming from the cat which almost made her purposely tilt her body just right to knock the cat off balance before coming to her senses and realizing she still needed to properly explain her plan to the now suspicious cat before things got any worse.
So as school went on that day Usagi worded and reworded how she would bring up the entire plan and what happened to Luna's attempt to show her how to transform while also trying to figure out how to get Luna on her side so as she could continue to fight and not be ousted as the princess from the get-go. It wasn't until the last bell and Usagi had said goodbye to her group of friends that Usagi decided to go to a park near her home and hopefully get Luna on her side without needing to rely on her mother who was already ready to connect to Luna and explain it herself.
