Hot Search for the Ultimate Cool Searchers
Doug is seen doing some checkups on his plane while making some adjustments that he has been doing to make the plane more "awesome" to be prepare for any kinds of danger, especially with the one mission he and the others are about go on.
"Hey Doug, are you almost finish?" Lyna asked walking up to him with a tray and a cup of tea.
"Oh yeah, once I finish putting in the last screws then we are all set to go for our first Chaos Emerald mission?" Doug answered with a thumb up.
"Now, all I need is a screwdriver." Doug said.
"Which ones? You got like four types here." Lyna asked as she levitated the four screwdrivers in front of her.
"Just one with four edges like a cross." Doug mentioned.
Lyna found the screwdriver handling it him that which got him just to finish within the next ten seconds then closes then hood, he turns on the plane waiting for a couple of seconds until the engine made some awesome roaring.
"From the sound of that engine means it's time for adventuring!" Nathanial excited as he and the others enter the scene.
"You got that right, and I can see you guys are well prepared too." Doug noticed how everyone have backpacks and a few other things.
"For this searching, we shall bring glorious death to any enemies who dare crosses our path!" Carisa threw her fists in the air.
"You are looking a little too excited for this." Mephisto worried for Carisa.
"Have you all made sure to pack lots of water?" Doug asked as he jumps down.
"We got about twenty water bottles, two for each." Iris answered.
"Two for each? Iris, you were supposed to get a lot more than that!" Doug exclaimed.
"Is the place we're going really that hot?" Auriana asked curiously.
"Yes, for the Chaos Emerald we'll be looking for is in the desert." Doug revealed the location on the screen of his tracker.
"The desert, that sounds exciting!" Auriana smiled.
"I have been meaning to work on my tan." Lev flexed one arm.
"Like you didn't need to make your ego look edgy enough." Talia joked earning a look from Lev.
"Guys, I don't think you're understanding of how hot the desert can be." Doug said.
"I remember this one time my family and I decided to try expanding our empire onto a desert, but the heat was too hot for us to handle, and there were giant crystal worms living there too." Lyna mentioned.
"Oh, I heard about them. Nasty creatures with issues of being touch though I did hear about few being able to tam them." Mephisto recalled that rumor.
"Such a shame we didn't have a tamer then." Lyna sighed.
"Guys, come on, let's not focus on the past and get to finding that Emerald under all that sand." Nathanial pointed out.
"He's right, we've handled tough and dangerous things before and I'm sure finding a jewel in the desert will be a breeze." Iris grinned as Amaru jumps on her shoulder.
"Alright, but don't say I didn't warn you." Doug said as he and Lyna got on his plane.
"How come those two get to relax on the plane while some of us will have to get there on foot or wings or being able to fly?" Lev asked feeling a jealous.
"Because my plane was only made for two people even before I started upgrading it." Doug answered.
"Plus, we've been training our speed meaning we'll be there fast like a walk in the park." Nathanial added.
"I'm also starting to enjoy riding on you more than any cars or Amaru." Auriana leaned onto Lev making him smile.
"Oh, no offense, Amaru." Auriana said to the little purple creature.
Amaru nods saying he doesn't mind before transforming into his Pegasus form for Talia to ride on and performed a magic spell on him.
"So, huh, how would like to be carried? On my arms or my back?" Mephisto asked nervously and blushing.
"Well, it's huh, doesn't matter which one as long as we can get together. WITH our friends, of course!" Carisa embarrassed of herself.
Mephisto chuckles nervously making himself more confuse of how to carry his crush since he never has to carry a girl before, not even with her twin sister as she is always the tough girl to take care of herself and now it's with a princess. With no ideas of how to go about like this, he just went with his instincts and carry Carisa into his arms in a bridely style which causes both of them to blush harder.
"Th-This is fine too…" Carisa said.
"Just don't come crying to me when you don't have enough water because of a certain princess of an entire world." Lyna raised an eyebrow.
"Hey, it's like Iris said, this will be a breeze." Nathanial grinned and kiss with Iris.
"Yeah, let's go kick some sand!" Iris cheered.
(Desert)
Both Nathanial and Iris are now looking exhausted with sweats pouring down from their face and all over their bodies, and they weren't the only ones as the entire team as they are trying to fan themselves while trying to sweep off as many sweats as they can. Amaru is doing any better than the others because of him being mostly covered in fur and trying to hide under the shades of the others.
"You were saying?" Doug asked with a little shout.
"Okay, two bottles for each may not be enough…" Iris panted.
"Damn, I didn't think our search would involve doing a lot of digging around." Auriana looked around, seeing sand and sand and even more sand everywhere.
"You kidding babe? But amount of digging is going get us anywhere." Lev pointed out.
"Don't worry, as long as we have my Chaos Radar then we are good to go." Doug showed the screen on the radar is still working okay.
"Well, at least there aren't any crystal worms on this planet though that still concerns me." Lyna said.
"Why would you be concern about them now?" Carisa asked.
"It's just a little rumor I heard about back at my kingdom. Apparently, a few decades ago or so, some crystal worms have suddenly disappeared from the desert back on Ephedia without a trace." Lyna explained.
"I heard about that too, but no one could ever find out if that was true or not and came to the conclusion that they were killed by some hunters." Talia mentioned.
"Glad we won't have to do the searching through the sand because that would take us a hundred years to do that, and we'll be over two hundred until then." Mephisto complained.
"I'm still a little confuse of your homeland having shorter time calendar system than here on earth." Nathanial said.
"That just how our time is, but we do live longer up to 130 years in your earth's time." Auriana stated.
"Okay, if we want to talk about time then let's just find that Emerald already." Lev reminded everyone.
"Doug, which way?" Lev asked.
"Just that way." Doug pointed the way.
"Well, then we better get moving if we don't want the heat to cook us alive." Nathanial carried Iris on his back.
"Why don't you take a rest, Amaru. You deserve it." Talia placed Amaru in her backpack and cast a spell to summon a floating crystal board in the shape of her kingdom's emblem.
Dou pressed a button that transformed the plane onto a new vehicle that can travel onto the desert without any problem.
"Now I am loving that brain of yours." Lyna complimented making him blush.
And the heroes' journey to find the Chaos Emerald as they also want to hurry to get out of this intense heat, but they are also feeling a little breeze from the travel while to make sure not to get sand in their hair and eyes.
"Do you ever wonder there might be a world that is nothing but sand out here?" Auriana looked around at the desert.
"I'm sure some people do and would enjoy living there unlike some who aren't born to handle the heat like this." Iris shrugged.
"Well, it's a good thing I'm too cool to kill by some heat." Lev bragged.
Doug got an alert beeping sound from the screen of his plane that got his attention.
"Hey guys, I'm picking something weird besides the Chaos Emerald." Doug informed.
"Is it my sister?" Mephisto asked.
"No, it's not her… It's something else, buried in the sand." Doug said getting a bad feeling about this.
Lyna made a crystal binocular to look on ahead then saw something familiar, familiar and dangerous that made her gasp.
"Everyone! Stop!" Lyna shouted.
With that, everyone put the breaks though for the two speedsters kept going despite stopping as Nathanial and Iris were stopped by Lyna with her levitating magic before they could touch a strange blue crystal structure.
"I know we never been to the desert before, but I'm sure pretty those weren't there." Nathanial said.
"What are these?" Iris asked.
"Let me see!" Lyna went off and ran towards one looking at it closely.
"I knew it. I don't know how; these structures are the Crystal Worms." Lyna informed shocking everyone.
"But that impossible! How are there Crystal Worms in the desert?" Lev asked.
"Maybe Gramorr brought them here." Carisa guessed.
"I don't think so, he would've use them for something else than just leave them here." Mephisto pointed out.
"The only theory I can think of is that there might have been a dimensional portal branch for a moment that got those Crystal Worms here." Doug said his theory.
"And if your radar says the Emerald is here in this area, then that's going to be hard." Talia looked ahead seeing more of the Crystal Worm bodies around.
"Yes, meaning we'll have to find it among them." Doug sighed.
"Fair warning. Whatever you do, do not, I repeat do NOT touch the crystals or else you'll wake them up." Lyna warned.
"Got it!" Auriana said with a thumb up.
The gang starts walking around to find where that Chaos Emerald could be burry under the sands which the area is also full of these Crystal Worms, that are from the magical princesses' home world somehow.
"Oh dear, it doesn't feel like my hair is doing well in this heat." Auriana panted as she drinks her water bottle.
"I think we're gonna have to do a little digging if we're going to find the Chaos Emerald." Talia stated.
"I'm afraid you're right, but good thing I good pack these shovels." Doug showed the shovels and tosses them to the others.
"Oh! Wow we're going to be like real pirates!" Auriana excited.
"Arrrgh! I'm a pirate princess and I'm on the hunt for a powerful treasure!" Auriana acted like a pirate digging up the sand, and accidentally threw some on Talia.
"Auriana!" Talia yelled.
"How many times must I tell you to take these things serious?" Talia scolded, but that slight state of anger has causes her to accidentally smack her shovel on a Crystal Worm.
Everyone gasp upon seeing this and Talia is more shocked of being the one doing that deed herself as the body of the Crystal Worm moves, and the creature raises its head out roaring at the group for disturbing its sleep.
"Crystal Colidum!" Iris was about to fire an attack spell, but the Crystal Worm charges in causing her to jump out of the way, and for her spell to attack some of the other Crystal Worms.
This causes all five Crystal Worms to be awaken in rage roaring at them along with the sixth one.
"So much for doing this quietly." Nathanial worried a little.
Amaru look scared when he saw the Crystal Worms looking scary fearing they could get him, but then he notices something about one of them looking a little shiner than the others and narrow his eyes seeing a yellow Chaos Emerald on its forehead. He got Talia's attention pointing at the one Crystal Worm with the Chaos Emerald which the Princess of Talia was able to spot.
"Guys, Amaru found a Chaos Emerald on one of the Crystal Worms!" Talia alerted.
"Oh great, as if we didn't have enough problems to deal with." Mephisto said.
One Crystal Worm charges in to attack the traitor of Gramorr which the red-haired boy was able to react faster as he threw a strong uppercut, the Crystal Worm recovers before digging its way under the sand.
"Be careful when they go underground, you'll never know when they come out." Lyna warned.
Doug aimed his arm-cannon at the Crystal Worm with the Chaos Emerald firing several energy blasts which one three got a hit on it, that Crystal Worm roars and went underground as the others soon follow.
"Great, now what?" Lev asked.
"I think we're gonna have to make a run for it." Nathanial suggested.
"They'll just follow us." Iris said.
"Don't worry, I fought a giant robot bear once. This should be… something." Nathanial shrugged.
"Let just move before they pop out again!" Auriana jumped onto Lev's back, and he ran out of here.
The others soon follow just in time as the Crystal Worms just popped out then went back in chasing them through the desert.
"I think we're gonna have to attack them." Lev said.
"But they're underground." Auriana reminded him.
"But they'll have to come out to attack us and then they do, we strike them harder and faster." Lev suggested.
"You got it! Auriana, Princess of Volta!" Auriana transformed into her princess form.
Then two Crystal Worms popped out roaring as they come in to attack as Auriana and Lev prepare to do their own attack, then Lev teleports them above.
"Chaos Spear!" Lev blasted his energy blasts while Auriana whacks them with her whip.
"Let's give them something to fear." Carisa smirked at Mephisto who nods as she transforms into her princess form, and the other princesses soon follow.
Carisa and Mephisto combine their strong fists to hit one Crystal Worm on the head to knock it down on the sand.
"Doug, do you have any mime bombs?" Lyna asked.
"Yeah, always prepare." Doug pressed a button that releases the mime bombs.
"Let's make them sky bombs." Lyna used her magic levitating power to lift the bombs in the air and when one Crystal Worm came out of the sand, it got a full face of explosions.
"Nice, you are awesome!" Doug cheered.
Talia is over the battle on Amaru's back trying to spot the Crystal Worm with the Chaos Emerald until the one popped out roaring in rage.
"Amaru, try to keep it from going under again." Talia said as Amaru nods.
Talia jumps off and landed on the Crystal Worm's back as Amaru channel his Chaos energy and magic into his head to ram it under the chin to stop it form going back into the sand, she runs up the body and jumps onto the head seeing the Chaos Emerald.
"This may give you a headache." Talia said as she summons her weapon and strike at the side trying to force the emerald off.
The Crystal Worm roars in pain as it shakes like crazy force Amaru and Talia tries to hold on and get the emerald, but she lost her balance was thrown off though Amaru quickly got her.
"Guys, we need help with getting that emerald. It's stuck on its head tight." Talia informed.
"We'll be with you in a moment." Iris said as she and Nathanial are avoiding some Crystal Worm.
"I got an idea!" Iris said before jumping off and placing her hands on the sand.
"Crystal Ram-Trap!" Iris casted a big spell creating a big crystal structure that trap one Crystal Worm.
Nathanial can tell she won't hold it for long and quickly jump high to perform a Spin Dash Attack on its head several time, then Iris unleash a magic blast knocking it unconscious.
With the five Crystal Worms dealt with it, they others went to help Talia and Amaru deal with one last Crystal Worm as it keeps popping in and out of the sand.
"We need to keep it in place." Talia said.
"Auriana, use your whip to grab it!" Lev suggested.
"I'm gonna need some help with that." Auriana said.
"You got us!" Mephisto and Carisa said as they carry her into the air.
Auriana wrap her wipe around the neck with the added strength of Carisa and Mephisto to keep it in the air long enough for Talia and Iris to smack the emerald off, the Crystal Worm roars in pain and Lev caught the emerald.
Everyone cheers that they got the emerald, but they hear the roars of the Crystal Worms thinking they are about to attack again. However, to their surprise the Crystal Worms didn't attack them as they are eating the pink crystal structure Iris made.
"Aw, they like your crystal." Auriana complimented and one Crystal Worm move up to Iris.
"Guess we won't have to worry about them trying to eat us." Iris chuckled.

The gang have gone to hunt down their first Chaso Emerald together while facing against some giant worms with crystals on their bodies. The Crystal Worms are like the ones from Slugterra and now they won't be trouble for the Princesses and the boys as they have gained one new Chaos Emerald.
