Disciple Arc Prologue: I'm a Disciple?

Eons ago, this whole world was an endless sea within a boundless sky until two titans, Bionis and Mechonis, came to be. Both were trapped in a endless battle until it ended with both of their demises. A long time has passed and life has since made the titans, especially the Bionis, their home.

To be fair, I never knew about this truth of the world I knew. It just came to my mind one day as I idly watched a moth dart around the ceiling of the classroom I was in.

Who am I, you ask? Well... My name is Gonta Gokuhara. I'm called the Ultimate Violinist, which makes sense since no one at my school ever sees me without my violin case.

Look, I don't like insects, I just find them to be pesky little things. I'm a bit of a delinquent but sometimes I couldn't help but wonder if there was more to the world than what Mr. Adachi would tell my class. The moth probably wonders something similar as it travels from light to light.

My thoughts on all of this were interrupted by the ring of the bell indicating that classes for the day were over. Daisuke Ito began to shove his books into his bag in an attempt to leave as quickly as possible. I'd rather take my time, sparing one last look at that damned moth, and prepared to meet up with my friends outside the school.

I was almost out the door when a voice caught me off guard. "Gonta, a minute please."

I turned around. Mr. Adachi stood up from his desk, looking stern and carrying several papers. "We need to have a talk about your performance in my class."

I did say I was a bit of a delinquent, but that's only to keep silent after I walked in on my delinquent buddies smoking outside the school. Still, I didn't have time on this particular day.

"God, can it wait? I don't have time for this crap." I said.

"No, Gonta, there will be more time for you to cause some trouble with your friends later. Please, just listen to me."

I sighed and walked back into the room. I made a point of throwing my bag several feet away on the floor and sat up on one of the desks. "Alright, alright. What's the deal?"

Mr. Adachi sighed and handed me the first set of papers. "These are your homework assignments from the last two months. Or rather, what you've been turning in as your homework. You'll notice..." He said as he handed over the second half of the papers. "...That the answers are identical to Daisuke Ito's. Even the long form answers are the same sentences but phrased differently."

I shrugged. "What can I say, we're good friends."

"You've failed four classes so far, and your grades in the rest are nothing special. At the rate you're progressing, one more failure and you'll be held back a year. Though now that I see this new strategy of yours, you'll probably end up expelled."

"Expelled?" I repeated, my tension increasing highly. "You... you can't do that. I've got to graduate, I need a diploma, even if it sucks, I need one to get a proper job, to support my mom, you can't do this to me, you-"

"I don't want to do this to you, Gonta." He said in a reassuring voice. "I've checked with your other teachers and you haven't tried this with anyone else. Plagiarism is a serious offense, why only try it here?"

"I..." I looked at the door before looking back after making sure no one was there to hear me. "I know I can't afford to fail another class. I can't be stuck here forever, I've gotta get a job. Mom can barely support us on her own, and hell, I don't even like her that much, but we don't have an easy way to eat every week. I should be out there, doing something, instead of trying to be good at math and lit and history and other shit that doesn't matter."

I took a deep breath before continuing. "I've considered just dropping out. But you can't find a place that pays more than peanuts without a high school diploma. It's not even a big jump or anything, but I just want to finish something. And now you're gonna kick me out because I was so bad at your history class that I made Daisuke do my homework. There. You happy?"

We sat in silence for a minute. Then Mr. Adachi took the replicated papers back from me and locked them in his desk drawer. "Let me make one thing clear. I'm not excusing your behavior. But if you can show me you're willing to try, I can give you a second chance. There are two conditions."

"Yeah? I'll do it, whatever it takes." I said.

"First, consider all these assignments late. You can make them up in your own words before the year is up for partial credit, but you must do them all and you must do them yourself."

"Got it." I had no idea when I would get the time to do them, let alone learn them, but it was a start. "And second?"

"I've seen you and your friends in the school yard. You talk a lot of talk, and you hurt a lot of people. But I think you can change since you only do so to keep silent on their activities, if you honestly try. And that's what I want you to do: for one whole week, no fights. No bullying, no destruction. Show me that you can be a gentleman. Can you do that?"

"What, I don't have to kiss people's hands and call them 'milady' or anything do I?" I snarked.

Mr. Adachi laughed. "No, nothing quite like that. Just try and stay out of trouble, and do one good deed. We'll start there and talk at the end of the week."

"And then I won't be expelled." I confirmed.

"And then you won't be expelled. But don't forget the homework too."

"Right. OK. I'll try." I said as I slid off the desk and walked sheepishly to the other side of the room where I'd tossed my bag. "And, um, thank you."

Heading outside the school, Jun and Ritsuo were standing there as planned, smoking cigarettes and waiting for me. Upon seeing me, Ritsuo flicked the remains of his cigarette to the ground and crushed it beneath his shoe.

"Hey man, took you long enough. Want a light?" He asked.

"Nah, I'm good." I replied. I wasn't sure if smoking counts as trouble. I knew this was my only chance to avoid being held back or expelled and I wasn't going to risk it now. "Teach wanted to talk. Said my grades weren't good enough and I'd have to step it up."

"What, is that guy Daisuke not doing a good enough job?" Jun asked, cracking his knuckles. "We can do something about that easily. It's been ages since I saw that scared look on his face. What do you say, tomorrow morning? We can catch him before homeroom."

"No! No, I, uh, that's not the problem." I coughed. "Daisuke's fine. I think I'm just gonna go home tonight, actually." I figured the best way to stay out of trouble might be to avoid others entirely perhaps. It would certainly eliminate any temptation my friends would provide.

"Feeling sick?" Ritsuo asked in concern.

"No, I just, I have to go." I said as I went the direction to my home. As I did, I tried not to walk too fast or too slow knowing I might've aroused suspicion anyway.

When I got home, I took out my violin out the case and started to play violin versions of Imagine Dragons' Believer and Radioactive until my mother came home later.

"You're home early." I heard her speak, coming through the door. "How long have you been back?"

"Two hours, maybe. How was the supermarket?" I asked.

"It was the drugstore today." She said as took off her shoes and coat. "Either way I'm standing 5 hours behind a cash register. Did you cook?"

"Yeah." I said from the couch I had sprawled out on, barely fitting on it's cushion. "There's some soup heating up on the burner whenever you're ready. I already had some."

"Thanks, it saves me the trouble. How was school?"

"Don't really want to talk about it."

"Alright."

While my mother ate in silence in the kitchen, I stayed on couch thinking about everything and nothing at once. It was here that I wondered about my thoughts about the world I knew being far from what I was told in school.

I could've fallen asleep from it if not for the faint sound of water running and dishes being put away, followed by the click of the TV as it turned on. She sat in the old armchair next to the couch, idly flipping through channels.

"Hey mom. Uh, what's a gentleman like?" I asked.

She paused, leaving the screen on some commercial and turned down the volume. "Well, nothing like your father, for one thing."

"Just because he left?"

"Not just because of that. He broke a promise. He swore up and down that he was going to be the perfect dad, and had all these dreams of our future together. He had me going right up until the end. I felt that first contraction hit and he said he was stepping out to call a cab to the hospital. Should have known there that he was piling his stuff in his car and driving away for good. After all, he could have just driven me himself."

We sat there and let the long repeated story hang in the air while a muted woman gave a testimony for laundry detergent. "Commit to your promises, Gonta. That's all I can really offer you."

I knew to expect something like that, and grunted in thanks. I did want to keep this promise, but the problem was figuring out how. Maybe my thoughts on the truth of the world had something to do with it.

The television returned to it's main program with a sudden flash of pink. On the screen was a corpse with a sword sticking through the throat, gushing blood in an uncomfortable closeup. The blood of course was digitally edited to be a bright shade of pink, both for the sake of the ratings and as some sort of legacy joke. The camera zoomed out slowly while a distorted choir howled in the background, revealing more of the woman's lifeless body. "Such a shame."

"Which one was she again?" I asked. I didn't actively watch Danganronpa, but whenever my mother had it on I would sit and watch.

"The Ultimate Architect. I liked her."

The rest of the characters trickled into the room, reacting as they always did, with a mixture of shock, horror, and suspicion. It looked like this week was going to be investigation week, with the usual two-night trial special coming the next week. The chosen protagonist this time around made some speech about how he would to explore every nook and cranny in the whole school if it meant finding the truth and ending the killings.

I wondered if he had dyed his hair green before filming or if the producers had done it to make him more recognizable, and then I wondered why I was thinking about this at all.

With perfect timing, my mother remarked "I like the protagonist this time too. He's a real pretty boy."

"Mom, don't say stuff like that." I said in embarrassment.

"Where are my manners. You're prettier than him, of course."

"Shut up." I replied, but with a small smile. We didn't bond often, or even talk, but it was moments like these that brought us together. All it took was a backdrop of teenage violence to drown out the reality of the outside world.

The next four days seemed to pass by quickly as I made an effort in my classes. I made it to history early on the fourth day in an effort to not linger too long in the hallways.

I slung my bag down at my desk and pulled out the chair when the sight of something moving made me stop. I didn't tend to keep things in my desk compartment mind you, so that means the dark mass sitting in the back was something foreign.

I wasn't at a good angle but I could tell there was movement happening. Being careful, I knelt on the ground and activated the flashlight app on my phone, vaguely aware of the handful of classmates watching me.

It was a fucking nest of caterpillars. There were dozens of them, some crawling around the cavity and escaping onto the floor, and others sticking close to the main body. The structure was still attached to a slim tree branch, which was neatly severed at the end. They were all black, writhing, hairy things that had absolutely no business being there.

"Shit!" I dropped my phone as soon as the image registered in my brain and started scrambling backwards on the floor. I took a moment to catch my breath and process what had happened when I looked down and saw one squirming across the back of my hand.

"Shitshitshit!" I sprang up, knocking over the chair in the process, and began wildly flailing my arm around in an effort to shake the bug off. The other students in the room were laughing now, and had formed a sort of ring to give me space to flail.

Where has this school fuckin' gotten to?! I thought to myself as I tried to get my belongings away from the scene, the one on my hand not letting go until...

"Oh, you found them, Gonta!"

I looked up and saw Daisuke pushing his way through the crowd. "Did you like my surprise?"

At this point, my tension was at its highest. Slightly aware that my fists was engulfed in some kind of raw energy, I slowly walked over to Daisuke and stopped less than a foot away from him, making eye contact the whole time.

Then my energy-covered fist was in his shirt and I was lifting him off the ground, slamming him into the wall by the collar.

"Did you. Put those things. In my desk?" I asked with sharp breaths.

Daisuke sputtered, his face registering pain and confusion and fear all at once. "Y-yeah! Since you l-like them so much!"

I felt the heat rising up inside of me, and looked at the hand that was holding Daisuke, and swore I saw a flash of black movement vanish because of the raw power. In an instant I dropped him, and then punched him right in the face.

Several things happened at once. The rest of the class let out an "Oooooohhh!" noise, and someone in the back said something about "got that on video!" Daisuke slumped to the floor, nose bloody and bent at an odd angle, and his face welling up red. Mr. Adachi also stepped into the room, which was now filled with toppled desks and chairs, shouting students, a one-sided fight scene, and a pile of black caterpillars spilling out of my desk.

I just stood there, my fist smeared with a little blood, and an exhilaration flowing through me that I hadn't felt in several days. It felt like everything I'd been holding back suddenly exploded, and I was good at something, and that's what my strength was for. Then time unfroze.

Daisuke was taking several deep breaths on the floor, trying to regain his composure. He looked up at me pleadingly, a deep sense of betrayal in his eyes. "I thought... you would like them... Ritsuo-"

Fucking Ritsuo. I could almost imagine the scene now. And that caused a literal spark in me to ignite and give me power that I've never seen before.

I knew the deal with Mr. Adachi was off now, so I wiped the blood on my pants and walked immediately home.

My mother wasn't home yet which I thought was a relief. I tossed my bag aside and saw a note on the fridge left by my mother.

"Have 2 work late. Pls record DR for me. Love you!" It read.

That was something I could do at least. I flipped on the television and navigated to the right channel, scanning ahead to the newest episode of Danganronpa that was supposed to air that night.

I knew we could barely afford the DVR service, but it came with the package that included the channel Danganronpa was on, which my mother insisted on paying for. I set up the recording and was about to turn off the television when the advertisement caught my attention.

"Want to be a part of the nation's number one reality show? Think you have what it takes to catch the culprit... or maybe outsmart the heroes? Auditions for Danganronpa are now open! For more information visit-"

I considered auditioning before looking at my hand. I then concentrated on my new powers and formed an energy ball in my hands.

It was then that I noticed a dark orange glow in front of me. Dispelling the energy ball, I saw what looked like Madoka's Soul Gem from Puella Magi Madoka Magica, teardrop on the top and all. But instead of being pink, the gem itself was dark orange.

"What the hell is this?" I muttered as I reached out to grab it.

As soon as I grabbed it, I was engulfed in a bright light with my violin case on my back. The light from the gem overcame my senses and I blacked out.

"Are you sure this kid's the one we're looking for?" A raspy male voice spoke.

"I am certain this is the right guy, the Battle Gems never lie when they come to their owners." A female voice said in response.

I was still out cold and now I was certain I wasn't in my home anymore upon hearing those voices. One of these 'Battle Gems' they mention must be that gem that caused me to black out in the first place.

"That is the truth. The Battle Gems become bonded to the first person that touches it. This man is the Ultimate Disciple we were looking for this whole time." A second calm male voice explained.

"If this is a joke, it ain't funny." The other male voice said in annoyance. "How can this kid be the Ultimate Disciple?"

I groaned in pain as I began to wake up, probably catching the source of the three voices to their attention to me.

"He's coming round." The female voice spoke up.

"Do not panic. Let him come to and we'll go from there." The calm male voice advised.

I opened my eyes to see the source of the voices that all appear to be human but something felt off.

The first male voice belonged to a man with a tan skin tone and appears to be 5'11" and 44 years old. He wears a red bandana, and has long blond hair that goes past his ears and is styled in a braid of some sort. He wears a black sleeveless jacket over a blue coat of sorts, and reveals his chest. He wears a strange necklace with a blue circle on it. He wears a brown belt over white jeans, and has white boots that reach to his knees.

The female voice came from a young looking woman that appeared to be 5'9" in terms of height. She had light skin with a beauty mark underneath her right eye, silver hair that looked almost white and was styled in an upper bun of some kind held by a silver and cranberry metal holder, dark blue eyes, and her lips were colored a pale cranberry color. She wears what seems to be a skimpy cranberry and silver leotard with some parts free around her hips and most of her chest exposed. The most strange part about her were the large pair of white wings on the back of her head.

And the other male voice was from a young man with tan skin, shoulder-length silver hair, and silver eyes. His outfit consists of a purple top under a white waistcoat with gold buttons, a long-sleeved purple jacket with a grey fur collar, silver buttons and a triangle with circles at each corner on the back, purple trousers, and white boots with grey soles that attach around his waist. He also wears a red crystal that looks like a cross on a black choker around his neck.

I looked around and saw that I was on a medical bed of some sort and the room looked like it was made from sapphire gemstones.

"Who are you guys?" I asked as I looked around the room. "And what is this place? It's looks like it's made out of gemstones."

"I think it's only fair if you introduce yourself first." The woman snarked. "As for where you are, this is Mysticalia, a place hidden away from the people of the Bionis and the Mechonis. This room is called the Sapphire Clinic. Each room is named after a gemstone of some kind."

"Got it. Me first, huh?" I spoke. "My name is Gonta Gokuhara. I'm called the Ultimate Violinist."

"A violinist. Quite the interesting talent." The silver-haired man said. "My name is Alvis Bijon. I am called the Disciple of Sloth. Pleasure to be your acquaintance."

The other man laughed a bit before speaking. "The name's Dickson Soss, the Disciple of Pride. I think we'll get along just fine."

"Quite." The woman said simply. "Name's Lorithia Nekudiora, the Disciple of Lust. It will be an honor to work with you, Gonta."

"Disciples? Is that why you were callin' me the Ultimate Disciple?" I asked. "If so, then what are your Ultimate talents?"

"I am the Ultimate Seer, Dickson is the Ultimate Bladesmith, and Lorithia is the Ultimate Ether Researcher." Alvis explained. "The three of us are the original Trinity of Zanza's disciples."

My mind was getting dizzy from all of this. "Is there anyone else here then?"

"There are. I think you'll like some of them." Dickson replied.

"Go ahead. Meeting the other disciples will help you better understand how to travel around Mysticalia." Lorithia advised.

"OK then, thank you." I said as I picked up my dark orange Battle Gem and exited the Sapphire Clinic.

As soon as I got out, I saw five different doors with a different gemstone on top of each one around what I assumed to be Mysticalia's main room that appeared to be made from diamonds.

I turned to see what I believed to be two siblings arguing. Both of them had slightly pale skin, light yellow eyes, and ocean green hair. The boy's hair reached near the end of his back, he was 6'2", and he wears a black, unbuttoned blazer with golden cuffs, a grey knitted vest with a v-neck, and a dark green tie. He also wears grey slacks and brown school shoes. The girl was 6'3", her hair reached her shoulderblades, her lips were ruby red, and she wears a white short-sleeved crop top that partially showed her midriff, a dark forest green seifuku with white stripes and a chocolate brown bow with thin ribbon, a dark brown skirt, a pair of dark green stockings reaching near her knees with white stripes and an emblem on both of them, and dark forest green shoes with black strings and soles and white emblems like the ones on her stockings on the tops of them.

"Um... excuse me? Can either of you tell me what this place is? I know it's a part of Mysticalia. I guess this is the main room?" I asked, causing them to stop arguing to look at me.

"Correct. This is the Diamond Arena, each of these doors lead to a part of Mysticalia. Splendid, isn't it?" The boy said. "By the way, my name is Korekiyo Shinguji, I'm called the Disciple of Blood. Everyone here calls me Kiyo."

"It sure is fantastic." I admitted. "My name's Gonta Gokuhara. I'm still new here."

"I see..." The girl muttered. "It seems I haven't been introduced. I am Miyadera Shinguji, the Disciple of Envy."

"Wait, you two are the Shinguji siblings, the Ultimate Calligrapher and the Ultimate Swimsuit Model?!" I shouted out. "I've seen both of your works before! This is truly incredible!"

"It's true. Always a pleasure to meet a fan, right brother?" Miyadera asked her younger sibling.

"It certainly is considering how the people of this world admire creativity." Kiyo admitted.

I better see who else is here before I faint. I thought to myself as I went to open the door with a rose quartz over it.

Going inside revealed that it was the dining hall. There were plenty of people in here so that saves me some time. I saw a girl that appeared to be 4'8". She has slightly fair skin, a cute little fang, light brown hair held into two short pigtails by pastel green rings, her eyes were soft teal with canary yellow pupils, and she had a white headband of some sort on her head. She wears a long-sleeved mint green jacket with a kanji of some sort on her right breast and a silver zipper, chocolate brown biker shorts, white poofy stockings, and white shoes with chocolate brown padding in middle, grey soles, and a soft teal and canary yellow spider on the sides.

"Hey~! I'm Minori Amaimono! The Disciple of Sweets! It's nice to meet ya!" The girl, Minori introduced herself with a smile.

"You sure are energetic." I pointed out.

"Meeting new friends is always great! But so is taking a bite out of the delicious food in the Quartz Dining Hall!" She exclaimed. "You can't fight in battle at full strength without a good meal after all!"

"W-Who are you t-talking to, Minori?"

I turned to see a girl the same height as Alvis. She has slightly fair skin, forest green eyes, and brown hair held in a side ponytail by a dark pink bow. She wears a sleeveless midnight blue crop top, grey yoga pants with light grey rims, black fingerless gloves, and black hunter boots.

"My name's Gonta Gokuhara, I'm the Ultimate Disciple though I'm officially called the Ultimate Violinist." I introduced myself to her.

"S-So you're new here." She muttered. "M-My name is... Murakumo Okami. T-They call me the Disciple of Beasts, b-but I'm not sure if I can r-really be called that."

"By the way, I'm known on the titans as the Ultimate Confectioner and Murakumo's the Ultimate Manga Artist." Minori brought up.

I turned to see three girls in maid outfits. One of them was petite and had fair skin, blonde hair in a pixie cut and periwinkle eyes. Another was Minori's height and had light skin, cream squid tentacles with pink highlights, and light gold eyes with four-pointed stars on them. The last one had dark skin, seafoam eyes with pinkish red infinity symbols, and plum brown octopus tentacles with teal highlights.

"If you are wondering who those three are, their names are Rose Lavillant, the Ultimate Lucky Student, Pearl Himemaka, the Ultimate Rapper, and Marina Ida, the Ultimate DJ. They're our maids."

I turned to face another girl as Murakumo and Minori left the Quartz Dining Hall. This girl is 5 feet tall and seems to be mature with a slightly muscular bodybuild. She has slightly pale skin, black hair held into thick pigtails held by big dark blue and light blue scrunchies, dark grey eyes, and wears a light blue kerchief on her head. She wears a navy and white seifuku with a red mini scarf, matching navy skirt, light blue stockings that reach above her knees, black shoes, and a light blue apron with a scale fish design in a darker shade of blue along with three small kanji that meant 'Japan'.

"How did you..?" I was going to ask before shaking it off. "I'm Gonta Gokuhara, the Ultimate Violinist. Nice to meet you."

"So Lorithia and Alvis were right about the Ultimate Disciple." The girl muttered to herself before looking at me. "My name is Ajia Ashitomi. They know me as the Disciple of Gluttony, it is nice to meet you too."

"I'm guessing you're known on Bionis and Mechonis as the Ultimate Sushi Chef, huh?" I asked.

"Right. I'm also the greatest swordswoman of the disciples." Ajia admitted. "I'm a chef in the Quartz Dining Hall, the other four in the kitchen over there are my Cooking Club friends. Their names are Shoku Tsuburaya, the Ultimate Cook, Kenko Sukoyaka, the Ultimate Health Guru, Seiyo Akanishi, the Ultimate Frycook, and Saki Mayuzumi, the Ultimate Patisserie."

She pointed to each of them and each of them waved at me. Shoku had fair skin, semi-long, dark brown hair, the fringes on the sides nearly extending to his chin. He also has a long, curly cowlick extending from the part in his hair. His eyes are bright green. He also wears a light yellow kerchief and a light brown apron with brown trim.

Kenko had slightly fair skin, medium-length, deep green hair with long bangs. Part of the left side of his hair is tied into a braid with a dark pink ponytail holder. His eyes are light purple. He also wears an orange kerchief with a dark green stripe and a dark orange apron with a green trim and a green pocket.

Seiyo had slightly tan skin, semi-long, messy, dark blond hair with a long, wavy strand in the middle of his face. His eyes are blue. He wears a kerchief with the flag of the United Kingdom on it and a apron with a red trim, white interior, and blue pocket.

All three of them wear black gakurans and matching slacks with black shoes. Saki has fair skin, rather large breasts, dark cyan eyes, teal hair held into two twintails by small purple scrunchies, partially sideswept bangs, and she wear the same uniform as Ajia. She also wears a purple kerchief, white socks reaching a bit below her knees, and a purple apron with a white trim and light purple hearts on it.

"You must be one busy girl." I snarked.

"I can handle it. Don't worry." Ajia assured me as she walked off. "The others are at the Ruby Transport. The entrance to Mysticalia from the Bionis and the Mechonis. Just look for the door with a ruby over it."

"Got it. Thanks for the info." I said as I left the Quartz Dining Hall.

I went through the door with the ruby over it like Ajia said and saw 9 people there around what I assumed to be tracks for a giant marble.

One girl was 4'11" in height and appeared to be flat-chested. She had slightly pale skin, a black eye-patch with a red symbol of some sort over her left eye, her other eye was cherry red, and bluish-black hair that reaches below her upper back. She wears a pastel pink sleeveless top covered by a pink tank top with a pastel yellow star and the words 'STAR PLATINUM' in neon blue, a periwinkle skirt, white stockings with stars and a crescent moon at the top, pink tennis shoes with white padding, dark yellow details, and white soles, a gold bracelet on her left wrist, and a blue and green sweatband on her right wrist.

Another girl was 5'5" in height and wears the same outfit as Ajia and Saki except without the apron. She has slightly fair skin, green eyeshadow and nails, and dark purple and green hair. The green half of her hair covers her left eye, and her hair is tied into two thick, messy, long ponytails which are held by green bands. A treble clef hairclip is also in her hair. She has emerald green eyes and green stockings that fade into dark purple.

There were three other girls like her. All with slightly fair skin and musical notes in their hair. One of them has the left half of her hair colored sky blue which is held in a messy ponytail by a pastel yellow scrunchie, and the other pastel green. She has dark blue eyes that fade in green, and sky blue stockings that fade to green. She also has messy, blue, green, and yellow eyeshadow.

Another has blonde hair tied back into a half-up, messy, ponytail with orange tips at the front. Her eyes are pastel yellow. She wears orange and yellow eyeshadow, light orange lipstick, and gold stockings that fade to orange.

The last one has light gray and dark purple hair tied in a long ponytail held by a spiked dark purple ponytail holder. The purple part of her hair slightly blocked her right eye. She has purple and silver eyeshadow as well as dark purple eyes and she wears purple stockings that fade to white and purple lipstick.

The next girl appeared to be 5'2" in height. She has dark skin and round, blue eyes the color of the ocean. Her hair a pale platinum blonde that looks nearly white and is loosely tied into two wavy ponytails by small, thin hair bands. She wears a white dress shirt, a red ribbon, a dark blue sweater, a navy blazer, a matching pleated skirt, white socks, and brown loafers.

Another appeared to be 5'8" and she has slight burn marks on her lower legs below her knees. She has fair skin, long, knee length, cerulean hair, light blue eyes, and rimless glasses with white temples. She wears a white and blue long-sleeved seifuku with a black mini scarf, dark blue stockings that cover most of her burn marks, and dark grey loafers with black soles.

There was also a young man about 5'1" in height with an innocent look and a rather refined face. He has a short stature, a thin build, and very pale skin. He has purple eyes and moderately long, wavy blackish purple hair, with the tips dyed a brighter purple. He wears a classical dark navy gakuran on properly. His personally customized uniform has beauty from that of a university annex high school.

The last girl was working on the marble-like transport route itself. Her white and black coat with a neon pink orb belt attached to it was beside her and she appeared to be about 5'6" in height. She has slightly pale skin, blue eyes, silver hair styled in a sideswept mohawk that reaches her neck with neon purple highlights and neon pink clips. She wears a short-sleeved dress shirt with brown straps and silver buckles on the sleeves, a purple vest, a neon purple ribbon, brown pants, a dark brown belt with a silver buckle, black boots with grey padding, black straps with silver buckles and black soles, and a pair of white wrist length gloves.

I didn't quite know what to say so I stayed silent until...

"Well, if it isn't the Ultimate Disciple."

The voice came from the girl with messy ponytails as she and the girls like her approached me.

"The OG Trinity told us all about you!" She exclaimed. "It'll be fantastic to work with you, Gonta!"

"They really did tell you, huh?" I asked. "Who are you anyway?"

The girl grinned. "I'm the guitarist whose sweet talents will one day make music history! You're looking at the one and only Disciple of Sound herself, Gita Yamahato!"

Definitely known as the Ultimate Guitarist on the Bionis and Mechonis. I thought to myself.

"I'm Beshi Takamine, the Ultimate Bassist. Nice to meet ya." The blue haired girl, Beshi said.

"The name's Dora Tamamoto! I'm the Ultimate Drummer!" The blonde haired girl, Dora exclaimed.

"And my name's Kiba Kawaito, I'm called the Ultimate Keyboard Artist." The silver haired girl, Kiba said.

"I'm assuming you guys are in the Light Music Club, right?" I asked. They all nodded in confirmation. "So how does the Ruby Transport work anyway?"

"The Ruby Transport acts as the route to Mysticalia." The girl with glasses began to explain. "Most people on the Bionis and Mechonis can't see it but us disciples and pawns can. It's basically a monorail of sorts except the 'cars' are marbles just for fun."

"Thanks, um..." I muttered, giving a signal for her to make her introduction.

"Ah, my name is Tsumugi Shirogane. I'm the Disciple of Speed but I'm officially called the Ultimate Seamstress."

"You're a member of Team Danganronpa, am I right?" I asked.

"You're correct. Being a disciple is a well deserved break from all that work especially after my hospitalization." Tsumugi confirmed.

"Well at least the Homs blood the medical staff put in your body saved you 'cause those burns are nasty." The girl with the eyepatch spoke up. "Almost like all those bitches I beat up for making fun of my flat chest or my goals of becoming a noblewoman."

"You're one to talk." I snarked. "But... a noblewoman?"

"Oh! Right! You're new here aren't you?" She exclaimed. "My name's Mirai Neko! My title is the Disciple of Weaponry! I want to become a noblewoman! Becoming a true noblewoman is my goal and my reason for joining Lord Zanza's group of disciples!"

"Now I get it. You want to live a unique life along being the Ultimate Online Writer." I theorized.

"Yeah, that's pretty much it." Mirai confirmed. "My friends always supported my goals until the very end. But then... our cave was attacked... I was the only survivor and my friends lost their lives."

I let out a sigh in consent. "I'm sorry you had gone through that. That must've been awful to experience."

I decided to leave Mirai alone and talk to the other three. I approached the dark skinned girl and she and the boy turned to face me.

"Ooh~! You must be Gonta! My name is Angie Yonaga, I'm the Disciple of Elements!" The girl, Angie introduced herself.

"A-And I'm... K-Kokichi Oma, t-the Disciple of Strength. N-Nice to m-meet you." The boy, Kokichi introduced himself as well.

"Wow..." I muttered in amazement. "I didn't think the Ultimate Traditional Dancer and the Ultimate MMORPG Gamer would be here."

"O-Oh! Y-You know m-my gaming alias 'King' d-don't you?" Kokichi asked and I nodded in response.

"Of course you would recognize me! I mean who wouldn't?" Angie said in pride.

"I mean... with your innovative ways of making any genre of music your own with your dances, it's no wonder why people would know you." I pointed out.

Now becoming curious with what was being done to the transport, I approached the woman working on it. She got up from her position and stretched her arms before putting her coat back on.

"It's finally done. Dickson, Lorithia, and Alvis will be back with those new pawns in no time." She muttered before turning to face me. "You must be Gonta. I am Callie Hikari. The Ultimate White-Hat Hacker and one of Zanza's pawns."

"Do all people that find out about Mysticalia via being captured by the disciples become pawns?" I couldn't help but ask.

"Right. And betrayal is the biggest sin they can make." Callie said in response.

Suddenly, the light on the machine was flashing. Everyone else noticed.

"They're back!" Mirai exclaimed.

"Get ready and try to control them!" Callie commanded.

"OK!" All of us exclaimed.

Things got so chaotic that I couldn't see properly. But Dickson, Lorithia, and Alvis came back with 11 people and 8 Pokémon. The new pawns were interesting to say the least, but the two that stood out to me were Bea Ikusawa, the Ultimate Karate Master who was sent to Mysticalia along with her Pokémon Machamp, and Brigitte Lindholm, the Ultimate Engineer who seemed to like me the most out of everyone else as if I was the one that she trusted the most.

Once in the Diamond Arena, our new pawns were demanding answers that in some cases couldn't be answered.

"I was out with Flapple and then this happens?" Milo Yasaiko, the Ultimate Farmer that was a muscular man with pinkish-red hair muttered.

"Why would you do this to me and Drednaw?!" Nessa Oyoguya, the Ultimate Model who was a dark-skinned woman wearing a rather revealing swimsuit asked in a combination of fear and anger.

"Me and Centiskorch won't let you hurt the others!" Kabu Hibana, the Ultimate Gym Leader and a slightly older man with a red towel around the back of his neck yelled as he tried latch out while being held back by Marnie Kuronaga, the Ultimate Idol, and her partner Grimmsnarl.

"You have to keep your anger in check!" She exclaimed.

"This is an awkward situation." Bea snarked.

"You think?" Allister Nikuiyasu, the Ultimate Occultist that was a young boy wearing a white mask over his face said in response as he looked at his partner Gengar.

"You're making a fool of yourself, Kabu." Bede Kirarozu, the Ultimate Stage Performer that was a platinum blonde haired boy with a flamboyant gaze in his sapphire eyes said to Kabu as his partner Hatterene nodded in agreement.

"It's still rather amusing though." Melony Samuishiro, the Ultimate Tactician who was a rather chubby woman in white clothing said with a giggle as her partner Lapras looked on at the scene.

"Definitely." Raihan Tsuyoiyaka, the Ultimate Social Media Star and a dark-skinned man with a dragon motif in his clothing replied in amusement as his partner Duraludon went in to help Marnie and Grimmsnarl restrain Kabu and Centiskorch.

"Seein' what they see in maids here, seems like I could be one of them." Elizabeth Caledonia Ashe, the Ultimate Gang Leader with snowflake white hair and a wild west motif said while deep in thought.

"Oh my..." Mei-Ling Zhou, the Ultimate Climatologist who appears to be 5'3" in height muttered with surprise.

"She does have the looks though." Brigitte pointed out.

"Everyone, calm down!" Marina yelled over the chaos.

"Yeah, we can't answer everything at the same time!" Pearl exclaimed.

"I'm sure an explanation will be given! You'll just have to wait and see!" Rose shouted as she helped the rapper and DJ contain all the chaos.

Then a slightly high but still female voice echoed throughout the arena caused everyone to stop in their tracks.

"It's best if you listen..."

"What the..?" Raihan whispered in confusion.

"Who said that?" Nessa asked.

"Everything will be explained here and now..."

"Who or what are you?!" Bea yelled in fear. "Show yourself!"

"Alright! Let's begin!"

Everyone turned to a large collection of crystals separate from the doors in Mysticalia and then a Tsareena jumped up from out of nowhere and landed.

Upon seeing her as Tsareenas are usually female, all of us noticed that her normal colors were completely different. Her leaf-like hair was raven black, her eyelashes are dark grey, the berry-like part at the top of her head was crimson along with her eyes, arms, and legs, and her eyeshadow and the normally raspberry parts of her body were dark red.

"A Tsareena?" Marine asked simply.

"She looks pretty gothic." Allister pointed out.

To the new pawns' surprise especially the ones with Pokémon, the Tsareena spoke. "I know what you're all thinking and no I'm not just any old Tsareena. I am the one and only Dark Fruit Pokémon, Kuroreena."

"Kuroreena?" I repeated her name.

"Listen up newcomer pawns! From here on out you will serve the disciples with you for the remainder of the foreseeable future and the maids will enforce that you'll obey." Kuroreena explained.

"But what happens if we betray them in any way?" Brigitte asked in worry.

Kuroreena's expression then turned dark. "To simply put it, I can and will execute you."

"E-Execution?!" Mei repeated with complete horror in her dark brown eyes.

"That's right! Since now that a female Homs somewhere on the Bionis found out about the future of this world and therefore Zanza's existence, bloodshed is most certainly on the horizon! So you don't have any other choice!" The Dark Fruit Pokémon exclaimed.

"S-Someone found out a-about the f-future?!" Kokichi asked. "H-How?!"

"Believe it or don't believe it, we have to find the girl who defies her destiny and take her out!" Kuroreena shouted.

Melony let out a sound as she realized something. "I think I now understand what our roles here are."

"I refuse to accept this!"

Kabu stepped forward along with Centiskorch, surprising everyone.

"Kabu?!" Milo and Nessa called out his name in shock as Flapple and Drednaw let out similar noises of shock, most likely calling out to Centiskorch.

"Huh? What's this?" Kuroreena muttered as she looked on. "Are you refusing to accept your new role in this world?"

"Of course I am! I will not let harm come to anyone here!" Kabu shouted. "SO WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU GONNA DO?!"

Most of us gasped in shock as Kuroreena growled with anger.

"So, betrayal is you and your Pokémon's choice, huh?" She said before shouting. "Alright! It's decided then! YOU'LL BE MY EXAMPLE TO EVERYONE!"

Kuroreena jumped up into the air and put both her arms forward. Suddenly, a large burst of crimson fire came out from her arms. Kabu looked up in shock as the flames came down and engulfed him and Centiskorch. I could tell the heat was too much as the flames tore into both of them. Centiskorch's body was literally being destroyed bit by bit while Kabu's clothes were being burnt off.

When the flames died down, nothing but ashes remained on the ground where Kabu and Centiskorch once stood.

Most of us were in shock and horror at what we just saw as Kuroreena landed back onto the ground.

"Oh my god..." Nessa muttered. "They were burned alive and reduced to nothing but dust..."

"How is this possible?" Milo muttered. "That someone like Kabu could fall so easily?"

"If that's what will happen to us if we betray the disciples..." Bea muttered. "Then... we'll serve them."

"Now you understand." Kuroreena said. "Now let the Killing Titan War begin!"

Some of us became tense, some of us were afraid for our lives. All of us were feeling things that I had no idea would be so common now, this feeling of despair over us as we all knew one thing.

The Killing Titan War has begun, and we knew that many casualties would happen in what'll come in the future as we hunt down the girl who defies her destiny.

Next time on the Monado Arc...

"What do you know about it?"

"How in the name of Bionis should I know?! It's just weird!"

'What on Bionis is going on..?'

"For starters, my name's Zellium. When I saw your notes from the past few days, I knew you were the one."

"So you're telling me that I'm a magical girl now? Like in the anime I watched as a child?"
