Get ready for a trip down memory lane. For those of you who are true fans to the Castlevania Series, you might know which games I'll reference in this chapter. There have been a few things that were changes too make up for some...bad...retro...voice acting. But I'm sure you'll recognize them either way.

By the way, I'm very sorry for how ridiculously long this chapter is. I went a bit overboard with what I put into it.

Enjoy.

After their discovery of the use of Elemental Speaker Magic, Luz and Eda have been training Gus and Willow, not holding back on anything they know about the Mystical Art. Luz taught them technique, Eda taught them concentration and they were teaching them fast and hard. Though exhausted after a couple of days, Willow and Gus were enjoying their training and wasn't long before they caught the attention of their fellow students in Hexside. Today, they came in with brand new additions to their uniforms, their cloaks now a pale blue and a button in the shape of a silver arrowhead holding them together. They talked to Amity about how their training was going, as they all had something to share.

"This is the kind of magic that exists in the Human Realm!" Willow demonstrated as spheres of a blue light hovered over hand, and she gestured to the left and formed icicles out of nothing. "Luz and the Owl Lady have held back no expenses on improving our form." Many students were at awe, as this form of magic was unknown to them. Even Amity was impressed.

"Amazing." said the mint-haired girl. "I've seen how she does it, but to think she's passing it onto others. Maybe I could join in on this training?"

Willow looked hesitant, as her relationship with Amity was still...kinda wobbly. But, since Luz had faith in her, she was willing to give Amity a chance.

"...Yeah. I think Luz, would like that."

They both smiled until the moment was ruined by the ever-snobbish triclops, Boscha. Willow thought she couldn't get any worse, but ever since she joined the Devil Forgers and get that black tattoo across her right eye, she's been more of a pain in the ass than ever before, becoming aggressive and...increasingly more violent.

"Ugh. Amity. What are you doing with her?" She practically growled, getting the attention of the two. "You want to destroy your social life by hanging out with her?"

The icicle Willow just summoned was suddenly thrown across Boscha's head before landing in the wall. She and her friends looked at it before turning to Willow, who's raised arm had cold vapor coming from it.

"Where the hell did that come from?!"

Willow replied "Speaker Magic. Curtesy of Luz Belmont."

Just mentioning Luz made Boscha growl like a beast, as she punched the wall and stomped away. Skara stopped for a second before looking at Amity and Willow, the latter of the two having an eyebrow raised at her.

"Uh, Willow...I'm having my birthday party later. And it's invite only, but I wouldn't mind if you-"

"SKARA! DON'T YOU DARE INVITE THAT HALF-A-WITCH!" Boscha roared off-screen, making the three girls tense. Before she left, Skara whispered to Willow "You can come by!" before catching up to Boscha. Willow rolled her eyes while Amity gave out a sigh.

"Don't let whatever Boscha says get to you." Amity said to Willow. "You're leaving quite the impression."

"I guess that counts as a compliment?" Willow says. "I gotta go. Gonna be late for my photo class."

"I'll see you around." And with that, the two of them departed.

Speaking of Photo Class, a shadowy figure had managed to get into the dark room, seeing the photos that were said to be visual versions of one's memory. That was enough for the figure to have a new plan in mind to deal with the Belmont.

Meanwhile, Luz was out in the wilderness on a monster hunt. Night Creatures were now appearing on a daily basis all across the Isles and the Coven Guards were only doing so much before slowly starting to be overwhelmed. Despite being the most wanted person in the realm right now, Luz still made it her responsibility to dispose these unworldly threats, for it was her family's Legacy; the world against, but accepting that fate. As she managed to deal with a merman, lizardman, wolfman, Luz took in a breath, thinking she cleared out the area. But then, she felt something else around her, stalking her...

"I know you're there...there's no point in hiding."

A pentagram appeared on the ground and out came a Lich that Luz recognize as one of Zobek's subordinates.

"You made it all too easy for me to find you." Luz said to the Necromancer.

"Indeed." said the scholar of Black Magic. "All this was so that I could bring you here, into my trap."

"There's nothing you can do. My family's known for cheating death."

"Such history will soon be...erased." And the next thing Luz knew, black malicious tentacles come from the Lich's palms and all she saw next was black.

Back at Hexside, Willow had finished up on her memory photos as she bumped into Amity, making her drop them.

"Oh, sorry Willow." Amity said as she helped to pick them up. Willow held up one of the photos as she said "It's cool. Hmph, remember this one?"

It was a photo of Willow and Amity as kids, together. Once before, they were the best of friends, afterall.

"Yeah, I do. That was...a good memory. I'm sorry that we broke it off, Willow. It's just that the pressure of living up to my family's expectations...leads me to breaking it off those I truly care about. If you want...you could erase my face from that memory."

"I was would never do that...I treasure it, like I do with all the memories of my friends." said Willow, and it made Amity feel warm inside.

She replied "...As do I...I wouldn't mind being friends again."

"You know, a part of me thought that you wouldn't be capable of change. But...since came around, you've really grown, Amity."

"I could say the same about, Willow. You've obviously gotten stronger."

"All thanks to Luz." Willow replied "I really should find some way to make it up to her."

And that's when she got a call...from Eda.

"Willow, are you there?"

"Hi, Eda. What's wrong?"

"Something bad happened to Luz. I might need some help."

"...I'm on my way." But before she could go, Amity stopped her for a second.

"You mind if I make it up to Luz as well?"

That put a smile on Willow's face as they got Gus and quickly headed over to the Owl House. There, they found Luz in a comatose state, unmoving and...doesn't even look like she's breathing, making them all worried for her as Eda came up.

"You all got here fast." said the Owl Lady. "And all the better for it, I figured out what's wrong with Luz."

"What is it?" Amity asked.

"Someone seems to have tempered with her memories, as they're now being erased." Eda explained, much to the shock of the three witches.

"That's impossible." Willow argued. "Memories can't be tampered with unless they're literally plucked outside your head."

"Well, whoever did this must've done it through...probing."

The three winced at that, as they know that probing was painful in more ways than one. And if that's how Luz's memories have been tampered, then they're in trouble.

Eda then said "And we're not just talking about her own personal memories. Due to her bloodline, there is a whole collection of family history inside her head, and if that's goes...Luz may lose her heritage, the power of her family."

"Well, what do you want us to do?" Gus asked.

"There is one way, but it's terribly dangerous and partially illegal...So you're in the right place! I'll send you into her mind to fix the damage. It won't be easy. You have a lot to fix in there, 'cause it's a mess, and not to mention...the mind of a Belmont is a powerful thing. I'm not entirely sure what you'll encounter while you're in there."

"We'll take that chance." Willow said confidently. "I'd do anything for Luz."

"...Me too." Amity said, stepping up.

"As much as I love to, I got other things to do since I landed a spot in the Hexside Press." Gus said. "Sorry."

"It's okay. We understand." said Willow, with Amity adding "Besides, you're a little too fragile for this."

"I am not!" But, he proved their point when a book growls at him and yelps.

"Let's just start." Eda said, as she draws a spell circle around them and summons a bell which lands in Willow's hand. "When you're done, ring that and I'll cast you back. And remember-"

"A Belmont's mind is a powerful thing. Got it." Amity said.

"Then, here we go." And so, Eda lifts her hand. The spell circle around Willow and Amity produces a light that encases them. Both disappear into the yellow light of the spell. Eda directs it to Luz, still fast asleep as within her subconscious, both girls appear from the light and find themselves in a place they never expected. Usually, for an inhabitant of the Isles, there mind portrayed as a vast forest where the portraits of their memories are hung all around. But that's now where Amity and Willow found themselves; they found themselves in the courtyard to a grand, dark, Romanian orthodoxic, demon-looking castle with a moon behind it. Both of them almost forgot that they were in Luz's mind as they took a moment to gather themselves.

"Luz's mind...is a castle?" Amity asked.

Willow replied "I think...this is supposed to reflect the Demon Castle she once told me about. Legend has it that her family would always return here to face the evil they swore to defend the earth from."

"I guess Eda wasn't kidding when she said that we don't know to expect. But if we're here, I'm betting the memories are inside."

Nodding in agreement Willow walked with Amity to the immense iron-studded stone doors, which opened up on their own the moment they were close enough. For a second, they were blinded by the light within the Castle's Entrance, but then standing before them was a young boy, younger than they were, who had short, feathery hair, soft facial features, and he wore a sleeveless green leather vest with golden trimmings along with a loose white shirt, a pair of sewn brown pants and leather boots. Amity and Willow weren't so sure how to greet him as the boy held a scowl on his face.

"Um...hello?" Willow greeted, but not getting a response from the scowling boy. "Are you...friendly?"

Still saying nothing, the boy observed them both. Though Willow looked trusting in his eyes as she wore the insignia of the Speakers, Amity's Devil Forging Uniform made him glare daggers at her. Both girls were feeling awkward at how the boy was looking at him, but then, he finally said something to them.

"Follow me if you wish to recover the memories." Saying nothing else, the boy turned and walked back into the castle. Looking at each other for a second in confusion, the girls decided to follow him, since he seemed to know what was going on with Luz's mind. They entered a long hallway with standing pillars, tattered curtains, large square windows with shattered/cracked glass, and walls with plaster peeling off of them. The walk was silent and awkward from Willow and Amity as they felt uneasy following the boy.

"Where are you taking us?" Amity asked, starting to get impatient. "Where are the memories that need fixing?!"

The boy turned his head to glare at her, and it was enough to make her shut up. They reach another set of grand doors, which the boy pushes over effortlessly to reveal a Great Hall with a throne at the end of the room. And floating in front of the throne was the first disturbed memory. The three approach it and stare into the portrait, which comprised of a vast forest under a bright moon and darkened sky, and hidden within the trees was a dimly lit cottage. The thing about the portrait was that it was grayscale and burnt.

"Once you finish undoing the damage of this memory, you will instantly be taken to the next in need of repairs." the boy said to the girls, unmoving and in an emotionless tone. "We have hopes that you can make her whole again."

"Thank you." said Willow, but to her and Amity's surprise...the boy was gone, like he vanished into thin air. Taking a look at each other, the two then slowly entered the painting and soon found themselves in the very forest under eternal darkness.

"So where do we start?" Amity asks, but then Willow points to the cabin a sees a green ethereal trail heading towards it. Upon entering, they see that the place is in shambles and now know what they must do. They begin to pick up relics and artifacts and start to put them onto the shelf in what they hope was the proper order. But then, Amity finds something.

"Whoa. Look at this." She said, holding up a familiar looking whip. And that's when both of them realize that this small little cabin in the middle of the woods was the birthplace to the Legendary Whip of the Belmonts. As Amity places it under a table in a box marked with a cross, the two then see color return to the picture as they find themselves back in the castle, and the memory begins to play in motion, as if the events of the memory were now being relived. Both girls watched as an old man in blue robes comes into the shop with a younger man, dressed in a unique knight armor and wild blonde hair.

"Wait here a moment. I have something for you." The Old Man said before he began rummaging through his belongings.

The young Knight then said "Rinaldo, I must ask...why are you living in a place like this?"

"I have unfinished business with Walter Bernhard, the master of this forest. Not worth mentioning...I simply owe him."

"You're not in danger? Living so close to him?"

"He keeps me alive so that I may 'fetch' him his pray." Rinaldo explains. "Eternal does seem to get boring, so he plays with the hunters who dare to enter his territory."

"I've come only to rescue my betrothed." The Knight said, determined.

Rinaldo replied "And that's how he always starts the game. By luring you in, and you die moments later. The fact that you came here unarmed astounds me."

"Had not much a choice in the matter, as I've left my title."

"So you say."

"But I'll scavenge what I need in order to survive here. Whatever it takes, I'll face Bernhardt with my bare hands if I have to."

"Hmph. I have no doubt about that." Rinaldo said with a smirk. "But that is not necessary. To face his castle, you are going to need this."

And it was then that Rinaldo presents the Infamous Whip to the Knight, who was a bit confused.

"A whip?" He simply asked

"My greatest creation, mind you. Infused with the power of Alchemy, the study of experimentation with the principles of God's creation of the world. The only person who truly understands it is Mathias."

"You know Lord Cronqvist?"

"I have known him longer than you have. His family has a book of secret arts, originally handed down orally."

The Knight replied "Secret arts? I never knew..."

"Of course not. Only a handful of people in this world know about it." Rinaldo explained "There are some who consider alchemy to be heresy."

"I see..."

Rinaldo then asked "Are you one of them?

"No... If you are an acquaintance of Mathias, I trust you." the Knight said "And I shall use this whip to the best of my abilities."

With a smile, Rinaldo then said "One last gift...hold out your arm." And the knight did as he was told, holding out his left arm before Rinaldo uses his power to cast an enchantment upon his gauntlet. "Now you will be able to use relics at your disposable by gathering the power of your enemies."

"...Thank you, Rinaldo." But before the knight could leave, Rinaldo stopped him one last time.

"To face Bernhardt, clear his fortress of monsters, break the seal on his chamber door...and do not hesitate to come to me for help. I'll be more than willing to lend you a hand...for the right price of course."

"...How bothersome, but thank you, Rinaldo."

"Remember, this is a game of survival." was Rinaldo's final warning "All that you face will be to test your endurance before facing Bernhardt himself, Lord Belmont."

The Knight faced him one last time before leaving, saying "I told you...my name is Leon."

The memory ended as both girls stood there, amazed, knowing that they witnessed the birth of a Legacy like no other.

"That was amazing." Willow said, to which Amity replied "I'm guessing that guy was the first Belmont."

"It would seem that way...hey, where are we?" The girls looked to see that they were no longer in the Great Hall, but now at the bottom of one of the Castle's towers. Looking upward, they saw that the next memory was directly above them...at the top.

Amity sighs "We're gonna be working hard to fix Luz, aren't we?"

"We don't have to." Willow replied with a smirk, as she touches the ground and suddenly, a pillar of vines sprouted up and elevated them both to the top.

"Good thinking."

Before they could enter, the two could've sworn they heard a voice... "Are you the ones she trusts the most?" echoed an adult voice before the howl of a wolf could be heard in the distance. In any case, Willow and Amity wasted no time entering the memory, finding themselves in a catacomb directly below a graveyard, if the memory's artform was an indication. The room was lit by electronic lighting, something not very common in the era this memory was in. There, they saw detailed statues of...people caught in moments of great fear and...demise. There was one statue in the center of the room, a cloaked figure in a frozen pose of shock. Though, it was perfectly reserved, the statue was toppled over from where it should be.

"Hmm. At least this one is easier than the last one right?" Amity asked.

Willow replied "Please don't jinx us."

Managing to bring the statue back up to its feet, that seemed to do the trick as life was brought back to the memory. The girls were returned outside and then saw the memory themselves.

Two men walked down a staircase at the end of the catacomb. The first was an adult wearing an olive green and gray ravaged coat wrapped with a brown leather vest and chains that seem to connect to one another and with few crosses, and also sporting thigh-length, brown leather boots and gloves; he also had a scar over his left eye. The second was a younger man wearing a red bandana, a green leather vest that was open to shown his bare chest, a knife that as fitted with dozens of knives, red breeches with brown leather boots; basically, he looked like a pirate. The two walked into the room, looking at the many statues scattered around, seeing how realistic and life-like they all are.

"Are you sure this is the place?" asked the pirate?

The scarred man said lazily "It's what the only man told me. The sooner we find the grandchild, the sooner we can move on."

And that's when they took notice of the statue in the center of the room, how it clearly resembles a Speaker. Getting close to it, the pirate clanged one of his knives on it in inspection.

"Either someone left a statue of a speaker down here or-"

And that's when they heard some booming from a large door. Walking into the room was a great beast, having a ginormous body, a mouth of blunt teeth and sporting one great eye.

"...Cyclops." the pirate said. But then, the monster's eye began to glowing before shooting a beam that would've turned everything in the room, were it not already, into stone. The two hid behind pillars, assessing the situation they were in.

"Stone-eye Cyclops!" exclaimed the Hunter. "Right out of the family bestiary...God shits on my dinner once again."

"Move it Belmont, he's coming!" the pirate screamed as the two did their best to avoid the beam. They moved face and hid as much as they could, and for a moment, did it seem like the cyclops disappeared, as the hunter looked around...only to find a giant hand grabbing at his face before he could get away and throwing him into one the electronic lights. The scarred recovered as quickly as he could before barely dodging the petrifying beam. Seeing as they had to fight their way out of this, the pirate readies one of his knifes before coming out and sending it into the chest of the Cyclops...only to receive no reaction.

"Come on...come on!" He yelled! "You're dead!" But the Cyclops simply continued to fire at the two of them.

"Stop and notice you're dead!" The Belmont growled as part of his cloak was caught in the beam, petrifying it and forcing him to break it off. "Bastard..."

Taking the fabled whip, the Hunter pulled the blade from the beast's chest and struck it before the pirate ran and climbed the Speaker statue, jumping from it before kicking the pummel and launching the knife straight in the Cyclops' eye, killing it. As the giant corpse feel to the ground, the statue lost its balance, but the Belmont was there to catch it. A light engulfed it, removing the stone and restoring the statue as a human. The hood of the Speaker fell off, revealing to be a woman...who then felt the urge to vomit the second she was free.

"Wow. That was awesome." Amity said out loud. "This is better than anything I've ever seen?"

"Really?" asked Willow. "Spending time with Luz, I see this kind of stuff on a daily basis."

"In any case, it seems like we went somewhere else again."

The two looked around and saw that they now stood on a long stone bridge that lead from one tower to another. Ravens flew overhead as they walked to left tower, where the ethereal trail was pointing them to. Upon reaching the grand doors, they looked over head and saw a cloaked figure above them, yet the cloaked blowed in the wind, revealing that the person was clad in blue. He said before retreating into the tower.

"This is getting old, Amity said as the two pushed the doors opened. The memory was there beside two sarcophagus and two wasted no time entering. They find themselves in some sort of chamber, where a woman laid on the ground, a knife jammed into her abdomen. Willow and Amity almost jumped away, until this was they needed to fix.

"...She's supposed to live." Willow simply said as she went over and pulled the knife out, discarding it before sitting the woman up on a chair. Soon enough, the girl were once more outside of the painting as it came to life.

"Annette?!" said a warrior cladded in a blue uniform, long white pants, brown boots and gloves, and a white bandana was tied around his forehead. The woman known as Annette flustered her eyes open as she heard the voice of her beloved.

"Richter?!" Getting up from her seat, she ran up to embrace the young Hunter. "I never thought I'd see you again. Are you alright?"

"Of course not. I knew I'd make this far, determine to save you." He said, romantically.

"Oh, Ritcher..."

"Head back to the village." Ritcher then said, breaking their embrace before walking out of the chamber. "I...have to finish this."

"You can't! You'll be killed!" Annette cried, not wanting to lose her lover. Richter turned to her and gave her a kind smile.

"This...is my destiny, Annette. Have faith in me, for I will not lose."

And with that, Ritcher walked out of the room with Annette making a futile attempt to stop him.

"Ritcher, please...please come back...come back in one piece." She said with tears running down her eyes.

Willow tried to keep tears coming from her own eyes as Amity saw her. "Are you...crying, Willow?"

"N-No!" She exclaimed, wiping tears away. "I just...wasn't expecting romance in these memories."

"I'm honestly starting to forget we're in Luz's head. Especially with all the shifting we're doing." To prove her point, Amity and Willow once more found themselves in another location. This time, they were in a cavern, no doubt in the underground of the castle, which had an underground river flowing through it with wooden platforms floating on top. The two of them used the platforms to move forward before find their way out of the cave and back outside of the castle before re-entering. It was there that they found themselves within a laboratory of some sort and resting on top of a experiment table was the memory.

"How many more memories are we gonna have to restore?" Willow asked, and Amity sighed, only answering "I just hope we're done soon. I hate to see so much of Luz's mind having been corrupted."

"As well you should." said the voice of a man that made them both turn around to see an adult clad in red, having a belt that had viles of holy water, a canister of fairies, silver daggers, and a heavily engraved combat cross. "The Belmont's Legacy must be preserved, else the world would lose its champion. Be rest assured, if you've made it this far, we have no doubts that you will succeed in restoring her." And with that, the man turned and walked away from the chamber.

"Wait...who are you?" asked Willow

The man merely turned and gave a smile before continue on. This was all really confusing, but Amity and Willow would rather not question it as they had a job to do, entering the memory.

The two found themselves in a large, round chamber with the floor destroyed and behind them was what needed to be fixed, a heavily engraved mirror that was shattered in pieces.

"Luz told me about this." Willow said. "It's the Mirror of Fate. A very important relic."

"Then let's not waste time fixing it."

Put the pieces back together like a puzzle piece, the memory is restored and begins to play...

The Warrior of the Brotherhood of Light was finishing his great battle with one of the three Dark Lords, Carmilla, the Vampiric Blood Witch, turned to a Monstrous She-Bat that made their battle taken to the skies as she desperately tried to free herself from the Champion's grip. Instead, she only brought herself to her own demise as the Red Warrior, Gabriel sent her back down to the Chamber's floor where he struck the finishing blow, sending the stake of his powerful Vampire Killer Combat Cross Whip into her heart, destroying her. With the Dark Lord Vanquished, Gabriel was granted a new power at his disposal, a power once belonging to the Former Founder of the Order, along him to reach greater heights that were once unreachable. Now with this relic in the hands of God's Warrior, he reminds himself that he has a job to do as he walks to the center of the chamber and chants to Heavenly Light...

"Oblivium sempiternum daemonis."

And so, with the deed done, he collects a piece of another ancient relic that he tires himself for in his long journey. As he collects it, he is confronted by an ally of his quest, who he does not truly know the intentions...yet.

"Soon...the destiny of every living being will be in the palm of your hand." said the Old one.

But that did not matter to Gabriel as he states "I know now that the founders of the Order created the Lords of Shadow. The are one and the same. They ascended into Heaven as pure spirits but left behind their dark sides. Why are we paying the price for their arrogance and stupidity? Tell me...what am I fighting for?"

The Guardian merely gestured to the engraved mirror as he states "Only when we look inside ourselves can we truly begin to understand." And as the Warrior approaches the relic, he puts his hand on it, bewildered by the sight of it flowing through the mirror like water.

"What is this sorcery?"

"How far are you prepared to go to uncover the truth?" asked the Old One as Gabriel, without a word, walks into the Mirror of Fate...

"That's...a good question." Amity says as she and Willow now find themselves in what looks like a large dungeon, and the way was onward and upward. Skeletons and rusty armors littered the place, and the place stretched on more and more than the other places of the Castle they've seen before. After finally finding a way out of the place, the arrive in another hall...where perfectly preserved memories hung in the walls as an art gallery.

"At least these one seem safe." Willow said with a smile, looking at them all and witnessing the many great moments in the History of the Belmonts and those related to the family.

"I just hope this means we're almost done." Amity muttered "So much damage has been Luz's mind...she doesn't deserve this."

"We would not have simply allowed the corruption to spread and destroy her mind." came a young adult's voice, as both girls turned to see a man that almost resembled the one they saw before, dressed in a a green vest with brass fittings over a white coat with a hood, beneath this he wears a white shirt, he wears steel leggings and a matching left full-arm gauntlet, with a leather glove on his right hand; He wears two belts, one of which holds the gauntlet in place. His trousers appear to be green lizard skin, under leather chaps. Most notably, he also appears to have at least two tattoos, one on his chest and one on his right arm. His face is heavily scarred, one over his right eye and the bridge of his noses, and one under his left eye. His right eye is apparently permanently closed by his scarification. He also has a full beard and mustache.

"Unfortunately, a consciousness can only fight back so much before it strains itself." He said. "Yet, your journey is almost over. One more must be repaired, and only then will she be restored."

"I'm growing tired of all you weirdos popping up out of nowhere." Amity said in frustration. "We've yet to see and actually Inner Luz, so tell me... Who are you guys?!"

The man said nothing but closed his eyes, and in a teal flash of light...he was gone. Willow will be lying if she said that she didn't find it annoying herself with all these mysterious figures popping in and out of nowhere, but there was nothing they could do about it. Leaving the hall, they press onward, walking up a flight of stairs before entering the highest section in the castle, the Throne Room. And rest on the grand chair itself...was a glowing whip. Amity and Willow were confused at the sight of it.

"He said one more memory." the plant witch said, looking down at the whip. "Could this be it?"

"Honestly, I've given up in trying to understand all this." Amity exclaimed, exhaustingly. "But if this is it, then I'm willing to see it through. For Luz."

"For Luz." Willow repeated happily as they both put their hand on the whip, and it was then that they a flash of light...they found themselves in a place with a checkered floor, a blood red moon in the sky and the silhouettes of the castle far away.

"What...just happened?" Amity asked, but before they could get an answer, appearing before them was man in a brown trench coat, yellow button vest, red scarf, blue trousers and brown boots. His hair was in a ponytail and he had a goatee on his face. The man was cloaked in a sinisterly dark aura that burned around him like fire. And in his hand was the very whip the girls had touched to get her.

"Uh...Hi?" Willow said awkwardly, only to nearly be struck by the whip.

This was the final memory they needed to repair...the Whip's Memory.

"I guess we're doing this!" Amity said, taking her sword and getting into a stance. Willow raised her arms and began to use Speaker Magician movements as they were first to attack. However, they were caught off-guard when the memory seemed to drift from their attempted attacked and get behind them, striking them both. Now they felt the sting of the very whip Luz uses on a daily basis, and it was like a thousand spikes exploding across their bodies.

"Okay...This is not gonna be easy." Amity said as she and Willow struggled to recover. She acted fast and pushed Willow away from a red axe that thrown by the memory. Getting back on her feet, she charged at the memory, who continued to swing the whip, which Amity was forced to deflect as best she could as the long chain grinded against her sword's steel. Willow summoned icicles from the ground and stabbed the memory's leg, allowing Amity to get in close and land a hit. Didn't do much, though as the memory merely struck back harder, pushing Amity back. Summoning vines, Willow tries to impale the memory on them, only for the Warrior's reflection to throw an energy Cross that cuts through the plants and nearly cuts Willow's head in half. Fortunately, they works as a distraction as Amity managed to slice the memory in the back before it returns its attention towards the mint-haired girl, who was nearly melted by the flames of Holy Water.

"That's it!" Willow said in realization. The memory could only attack them, one at a time as they were on opposite sides. "If we can keep it in between us both, it should give us a chance to attack." And then when she used fire magic to blast at the memory, which it could barely deflect with the whip, then Amity kneed it from behind before summoning her abomination gauntlet and launching her own whip through the memory's chest. Though in pain, it still gained the strength to grab Amity's whip and throw her over its shoulder and onto Willow. And it was then that, the memory began to build up energy, glowing in a heavenly blow as the girl saw how the air around them was getting vacuumed into vortex.

"I know where this is going! We need to get away!" Willow said as they two got up and ran as far as they could from the memory. It unleashed a powerful Holy Cross, which caused everything to get sucked up in it's blast, as both girls were being pulled back towards it. Amity plunges her sword into the ground in the hopes of bracing her and Willow before getting engulfed by the Holy power. Both girls were already getting exhausted by how challenging this fight was.

"He's too strong." Amity said as they struggled to get up. Willow exclaimed "We can't give up! We have to do this!" Wrapping vines around her wrists, she uses them as makeshift whips to clash against the Memory's own. She actually managed to land a few fast hits and dodge the the Memory's attacks. However, the Memory managed to wrap its whip around her like a lasso and tighten it, having Willow pinned and unable to use her arms as she fell to her knees. Amity took this as her chance to attack as she thrown an abomination dagger straight into the silhouette's face. Feeling the grip on the whip loosen, Willow raised her arms and brought them together, summoning lightning at her finger tips before she had it coursing through the whip and electrocuting the Memory. It seems like they came close to winning, but then Amity remembered something important as she pulls Willow out of the whip's hold.

"Wait, Willow!" she said, getting her away from the memory. "We can't destroy it, that's still one of Luz's memories!"

Looking at it, they could see the memory glitching from the damage they put it through. A few more hits, and it would be destroyed, and they came all this way to save Luz's memories, not lose them. The dark aura was still burning around it.

"We need to cleanse it of darkness!" Willow said as they both wondered how the hell they were gonna do that. "I saw something on his back." Amity stated. "Cover me!"

The memory now threw everything it had on it, crosses, axes and holy water, all mixed with the whip as Amity ran towards it, covered by Willow's plants as she dove underneath the legs of the Memory and found what she was looking for, a sickle stuck in its back. Using her own whip, Amity managed to reach the wraith's blade and strongly pull it out. The Memory then felt itself released from its corruption, purging itself from what dark aura remained. Falling to its knees, the Whip's Memory faces before girls, who look down at with concern.

"Thank you." It's voice echoed. "Look after...her."

And with that, everything turns white.

The next thing they knew, they were back in the Owl House's living room with Luz still sleeping on the coach. Eda came in and was surprised to see them both back...without her help.

"We're back." Amity exclaimed, a little surprised, to which Eda replied "And the weird part is...I didn't even bring you back?"

Not that that mattered at the moment, as Willow turned to her human friend to see if she was alright?

"Luz? ...Luz? Can you hear me? ...Are you alright?"

And suddenly, Luz woke up with a gasp, sitting up and staring at her friend. Tears begin to form in her eyes as she suddenly embraces Willow, which she returns the favor of.

"Willow, I...I remember everything." Luz whimpered. Amity came close with a sad look on her face, catching Luz's attention. "Amity, Willow...thank you...for saving me."

"Our pleasure." Amity simply said with a smile forming on her face. Willow smirked as she then took Amity by the hand before pulling her into the hug. While unexpected, Amity did find it nice, and she even felt that her bond with Willow was reforming. Something she wanted for years. Luz didn't want to let go, as her two friends just saved decades of her family's history. And because of what they've done, everything...was now being unfolded...
