I do not own any of the amazing characters from Incredibles or its sequel. Wish I did though. Anyway hope you enjoy.
"You know what's sad? If it weren't for your core beliefs, I think we could have been great friends."
"At least I ha…have core beliefs." The super replied, her breath growing shallow. Everything becoming hazy and the only thing she was left sure of was her need to safely defeat the woman infront of her. Forcing herself to stand on the ever shifting ground, she attempted to reach out at the villain only to succumb to the pull in her muscles, bringing her down to all fours to try and catch her beath.
Rising from her pilot's chair Evelyn looked upon the super, the great Elastigirl. "The reputations of superheroes are ruined. You will never become legal. Ever." Evelyn glared down upon the crimson clad superhero at her complete mercy. Holding the woman's chin still forcing her to look at the victor.
"Never?" Elastigirl spoke, drawing out the word as if it were strange on her lips. Evelyn chuckled at the response.
"No." Her serious voice responded.
"Ever?" The hero let out, Evelyin releasing her chin as it swung with her speech.
"No." Evelyn spoke, sterner than before.
"Not even a littler smidgee-widgee?" Elastigirl asked, attempting once more to stand, her legs felt weighted, unwilling to follow her own commands with each stumbled step til Evelyn held on to her shoulders, halting the advance but the hero now was leaning against the woman. Tapping the gas mask Evelyn had put on minutes ago when the oxygen began fading.
"Ah, hypoxia. When you don't have enough oxygen, things seem really silly." A hard push sent the hero stumbling backwards till she collapsed upon her legs, on the floor once more.
"Things get siller and siller and then you die." Evelyn explained looking upon Elastigirl again, hunched over before her. Trying desperately to gather precious oxygen in her lungs to keep herself going.
"I don't wanna die." Elastigirl chucked out somberly. Raising her head up to look upon Evelyn.
"Ah, nobody does." Evelyn states. Lifting a leg, she shoves hard to the hero's shoulder sending her back, sprawled out in the back of the cockpit.
"Really … not such a bad way to go." With the super suffocating on the floor Evelyin begins to turn back to the pilot's chair, intending to return to her getaway. From the corner of her eye though, she spots a black gloved hand reaching out to something, quickly the inventor turns to kick the flare gun out of reach, hitting the wall across the small room.
The super pulled back the arm, placing upon the ground before her, stabilizing herself. Using the moment to take deeper breaths. Evelyn could swear she still heard a light chuckle as the suffocating hero struggled for breath. Her arms slowly lowering the red clad woman towards the floor, til she just laid atop it.
Her curiosity got the better of her as Evelyn watched on, noting each drawl of breath and its release. How it seemed to get slower each time. She squats down beside the hero, no reaction. The quiet breathing just continued at its decreasing pace. With another breath in, the exhale long and slow, only now there lacked a returning rise with the expansion of lungs. Evelyn knew what this meant, there was absolutely no returning now.
A weight now seemed to drag on her shoulders as she rose and turned back to the pilot's seat. Taking the controls with what seemed all too steady hands for what had just happened Evelyn flicked off the auto pilot. She turned the large craft back from its view of the sea and to Her brother's ship.
He was still on it but there was no getting him off. It didn't matter, the heroes would figure something out. They always seemed to; Winston would be fine. Setting a course the same as the boat Evelyn again turned on the auto pilot. A calming breath set her nerves, it seemed almost insulting considering. The villainess moved back to Elastigirl's still form. She peeled off one of the dark spandex gloves and pressed her fingers to the pulse point, it wasn't shallow, it wasn't faint, it wasn't there.
Confirming her suspicions Evelyn lifted the woman, half dragging her against the carpet towards the door her brother had leapt from minutes ago. She propped the woman against it, returning to the controls she slipped the seat belt across her waist, the boat was just about below them now. She tilted the plane on its side and released the door locks. Simple as that, the woman fell from the plane's carpet floor towards the ship below. Evelyn was finally relieved of the thorns pricking in her side and finally she could escape in peace. Sure, her plan didn't turn out exactly as hoped, nor was she able to get her brother to join her, but the super's reputation was surely damaged. Afterall, if it had been that easy to turn a weapon against its wielders, who's to say another wouldn't try. Not to mention there was one less now to be winning the public back over.
Determination had kept Frozone at his work, shooting glacier after glacier at the foil in attempts to turn the boat. The large thump against the deck did concern him he kept at the work until the ship lurched forwards and seemed to be skidding towards the right. Only then did he chance a look behind him.
"Helen!" He cried out at seeing the auburn-haired super lying upon the deck. She was strangely still as he rushed over to her, no reaction. She's unconscious he surmised to himself holding her gently.
Bob quickly came running up crying for all to get in the crash positions. Frozone gently laying his friend down rushed towards the port side, beginning to blast the large wave that rushed up to the city with them. He could see the purple glimmer of one of Violet's fields around her family as they all huddled in the dome preparing for impact. Helen included, Bob must have grabbed her, pulling her towards the protection.
Water quickly shifted to snow as the boat braced itself against the nearest building. Laughter broke out amongst the family as they finally got a moment to start processing all that had happened.
When it began to die down concern began to take their features as Elastigirl remained limp and silent. Bob was quick to grab hold of her wrist, testing the pulse point, when none was found he shifter his two fingers to her neck, trying to find something as an unsettling peace began to settle around them. The children, a step away, watched as their father pressed an hear against their mother's chest.
The relief and hope he had felt moments later drained from his face. The children released a gasp, Jack Jack in Violet's arms struggled as he reached for his mother. Eventually forcing himself free with his powers and floating himself to his mother's side. Tears gathered in Violet' s eyes, watching as her youngest brother began to cry out for their mother to move, to do something, anything if she didn't remain so still.
Utter defeat claimed the 5 heroes aboard the deck.
