The Born Again Fate of DxD - Chapter 3: Dealing with a Devil
(Tuesday 10h April - Morning)
When Daniel noticed Issei arrive for Homeroom, each of the other students were giving him odd looks. Well odder than normal, even Matsuda and Motohama were doing it. 'What's gotten into them?' Daniel thought to himself as he watched Issei walk up to him.
"Rias said she wants to meet up with you in her club room after classes." Issei informed Daniel.
"No problem, but kid. What did you do to piss your two friends off?" Daniel asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Well... Ya see." Issei's facial expression quickly kept shifting between his normal perverted look to a more shy and meek smile. The ferocity in his face changed kind of freaked Daniel out a little. "Rias may have walked with me to school this morning."
Daniel blankly stared down at Issei. 'Seriously that's it?' Daniel blinked as he thought to himself but then he remembered that this happen in the show. "If that's all that happened I'll meet up with Rias then after classes. Now take your seat."
(Afternoon)
Walking through the the woods directly south of the main building, Daniel was making his way towards the Old School House were the Occult Research Club called home base. 'Hopefully she's just looking to know about what happened after she left yesterday.'
"If I remember correctly, the club room's in the old Principal's Office." Daniel stated out to himself as he entered the Old School House. However as he made his way through the building he came to a sudden stop.
His body felt like it was being slowly crushed. His senses were screaming that he was being watched by a foreboding and ominous eye. He could feel that down at the end of a corridor, was an incredibly dark and powerful force.
The metaphysical pressure on Daniel was strong enough to keep him from breathing as he glanced down the darkened corridor. "What is down there?" Daniel asked no one as his face began to pale to longer he looked in that direction.
"You're gonna be late." A monotone voice called out to Daniel from behind. Daniel's reaction was instant.
"AHHH!" Jumping into the air as he clutched onto his heart, Daniel turned around and found Rias' Rook, Koneko Toujou blankly staring at him. Daniel could see the sides of her lips were twitching slightly, as if she was trying her best not to laugh at his reaction.
Briefly glancing down the corridor, Daniel could no longer feel the overwhelming dark and powerful force from earlier. "Jesus, Mary and Joseph... Don't ever do that again."
"No promises." Koneko replied with the return of her usual blank appearance. "Follow me."
Following Koneko, they arrived in the ORC's room. 'Was it like this in the anime as well?.. I don't remember this room being solely candle lit.' Daniel inner thoughts stated as he watched Koneko take a seat on one of the two sofas in front of the large desk.
Sitting on the sofa opposite of Koneko, the moment he touched the seat she called out to him. "That's Akeno's spot."
Daniel looked at the petite white haired girl, as she stared back with her own blank glare. "I'm sure she won't mind."
After a few minutes of silence Kiba and Issei both arrived. "Sensei? What are you doing here?" Issei asked as he looked at Daniel with widened eyes.
"What do you mean?" Daniel asked back with his eyebrows raised in confusion. "Didn't Rias tell you anything this morning?"
"How'd you even know what happened this morning?" Issei asked in horror as he remembered waking up naked alongside Rias.
"You told me you both walked to school this morning idiot." Daniel drily responded as he glared at his student.
Kiba noticed the awkward air surrounding Issei so he decided to help him by changing the subject. "Before I forget Issei, allow me to introduce Koneko Toujou. Konoeko here is a first year, and a valued member of the Research club."
Koneko meanwhile had managed to stop eating for a moment and nodded her head towards Issei. Daniel noticed the looked Issei was giving Koneko as his eyebrow twitched in annoyance.
However both his and Issei's thoughts were cut short when they heard the sound of running water coming from the next room. "Your clothes are now dry and waiting for you Buchou." The four could clearly hear the voice of Akeno called out before they heard Rias' reply.
"Thank you Akeno."
"I JUST HEARD RIAS TAKE A SHOWER! THIS IS THE BEST CLUB EVER!" Issei shouted out in lust before he was slammed into the ground by Daniel, via a punch to the back of the head.
"Knock it out will ya!" Daniel growled as Koneko nodded her approval as he sat back down.
"Oh my, it appears as though our guests have arrived." Akeno stated as she arrived from the side room's curtain. "It's nice to see you here Cole-Sensei." Akeno bowed lightly to Daniel before turning to face Issei.
Walking over towards the club's newest member Akeno bowed her head towards Issei. "And is's a pleasure to meet our newest member. I'm Akeno Himejima, the Vice President of the Occult Research Club. Pleased to make your acquaintance."
"I'm Issei Hyoudou, I promise I'm not always this awkward." Issei replied as he nervously rubbed the back of his head, his face blushing as he done so.
It didn't last long as soon a trickle of blood flowed out of his nose. "Get your head out of the gutter Issei." Daniel groaned out as Issei snapped to attention.
"Sorry about that. I never got a chance to shower in your place before I left this morning." Rias stated out to the group as she entered the room. Daniel and Issei noticed that she was currently drying her hair with a towel as she made her way over towards the large desk in the room.
"Wait, what?" Daniel asked out loud as he looked over at Rias. "He didn't do anything to you did he?" Daniel asked in shock. Meanwhile Daniel's mind screamed internally. 'Oh shit, I totally forgot! Didn't Issei wake up with Rias naked?!'
Rias giggled as she sat down behind her desk, Akeno by her side. "No, nothing happened. It just took longer than expected to heal his wounds last night. So I ended up staying overnight." Rias responded with a smile.
"So to begin we of the Occult Research Club, welcome you Issei." Issei blushed as Rias smiled at him. He responded by rubbing the back of his neck.
"As a Devil." Rias continued as she summoned her wings behind her. The other members of the ORC done the same.
"Issei, as of two nights ago you became a Servant to the House of Gremory. My cute little Devil Servant." Rias informed Issei before looking at the rest of her Peerage. "Everyone, please introduce yourselves."
"My name is Yuuto Kiba. As you already know, I'm a second year like you, Issei-kun. I'm a Devil too. Nice to meet you." Kiba stated to Issei as he lightly bowed.
"First year... Koneko Toujou. Pleased to make your acquaintance... I'm a Devil too." Koneko drily responded to Issei as she was more occupied staring at Daniel.
"My name is Akeno Himejima, and I'm in third year. Nice to meet you. Even though I'm like this, I'm also a Devil. Ufufu." Akeno smiled as she politely bowed to Issei.
"And I'm their master as well as being a Devil from the House of Gremory, Rias Gremory. My house holds the rank of a Duke. Let's get along from now on, Issei."
This action almost instantly shattering Issei's thoughts. Soon after his own wings appeared as if on instinct. "Heh?" Issei intelligently responded moments before he fainted.
Rias looked on worried as she noticed Daniel get up and pick up the unconscious Issei. She could tell that he was struggling not to laugh. "Well... That went better than expected." Daniel barely managed to speak as he placed Issei on the sofa next to where he was sitting.
Daniel then clapped his hands loudly into Issei's ear. "Ahhh!" Issei shouted as his body shivered as he was woken.
Chuckling at Issei's reaction, Daniel turned and faced Rias. "I think it'll be best if we get something to drink for Issei to calm down a bit." Rias could only sigh in defeat.
(Later)
"Thanks Himejima-san." Daniel smiled as Akeno handed a cup of tea over to him. Taking a sip Daniel was surprised to find it was a western black tea. "Black tea?"
"Why yes." Akeno replied before looking at Daniel a little worried. "Is it not good? It' was my first time attempting it."
"Oh no, it's not that. The tea's fantastic." Daniel replied back with a smile. "I just wasn't expecting such a nostalgic taste. I haven't had tea like this since I was last home."
"How long ago was that Sensei?" Issei asked as he titled his head to the side.
Daniel leaned his head back as he tired to remember. "Oh, was about three years ago. I had seen my baby for the first time."
"Your baby?" Rias asked with a raised eyebrow. The others also done the same.
"Yeah." Daniel replied as he leaned back to look up at the ceiling. "I remember it like it was yesterday when I first saw her. Ahhh... She was perfect."
Daniel's smile brought a smile onto the devils faces as well. "Of course, there were a few issues with her." Their smiles quickly faded as they looked at him now with horror. "A few bits needed replacing of course here and there. That and a few works issues like dents and scratching. But I got all that fixed."
"How could someone do that to a child?!" Rias asked in anger.
"Child?" Daniel looked at Rias as if she had grown a second head. 'Wait... Did she think I was talking about an actual baby?'
"I'm not taking about an actual baby. I'm taking about my Chevy Impala. I call it my baby." Daniel replied with a chuckle before giving every devil present a questionable look as they each avoided eye contact from embarrassment.
"I suppose then we might as well get to the point of this meeting. Issei what I said earlier was the truth. All the members of the ORC are devils." Rias informed Issei who kept shifting his eyes between everyone else in the room.
"I'm not a devil kid. Just a your average human Mage. Nothing to see here." Daniel drily stated as he took another sip of his black tea.
"Your expression says that you don't believe what me or Sensei are saying. Well, that can't be helped. You did see the man with black wings last night, didn't you?" Rias asked.
Issei, not trusting his voice nodded. "That was a Fallen Angel. They are former Angels who served God, but they are beings who have fallen to hell because they had evil intentions. They are also the enemy of us Devils."
Rias then turned to face Daniel and asked. "What happened after I left with Issei as well?"
"He was dealt with. You won't be seeing him again. Period." Daniel flatly responded, taking another sip.
"You killed him? You killed a Fallen Angel!?" Rias asked in shock.
"He threatened the life of one of my students." Daniel replied as he looked over at Rias. "Bastard got what was coming to him. He underestimated his opponent, and paid the price for his mistake."
"How'd you kill him?" Akeno asked.
When Daniel looked over at her, he could see a mixture of emotions running through her face. Most of them he didn't like but for different reasons. "I cut off his head." Daniel answered as he finished his cup, placing the empty cup of the small table between the two sofas.
The tone Daniel had used to answer Akeno's question left no room for them to ask any further questions over the issue. A chill ran up Issei's spine at the tone Daniel used as he shivered. Rias understood this and turned her attention back to Issei.
"As I was saying before Issei, because we are Devils, there are a few things I have to tell you. Since ancient times we've been at war with the Fallen Angels. We have been fighting over the possession of the Underworld, which is also known as Hell in the Human World. The Underworld is split into two areas, one for Devils and one for Fallen Angels. The Devils form pacts with humans and receive their sacrifices and increase their strength."
"The Fallen Angels on the other hand control humans in order to eliminate Devils. At this point the Angels come in to destroy these two races on God's orders, which created the Great War. While the war is over, their has been a rough truce between the Three Factions that has been going on since ancient times."
Rias tried her best to explain to Issei, but it all seemed like it was too much for the kid in Daniel's eyes. However he remained silent, this was Rias' task, not his.
"I'm sorry Senpai. But this kind of story is hard to take in for just a normal student like myself." Issei stated out towards Rias who nodded as she understood what Issei was trying to say. "This is just too much for me right now. I need some time to think about all of this."
As Issei turned around to leave Rias called out to him. "Yuuma Amano." It was just a simple name. But Issei flinched when he heard it. As he looked back at Rias, Daniel noticed the look of shock and terror before a flash of anger in the boy's eyes. "That day, you were on a date with Yuuma Amano., right?"
"If you're joking around, then can you please stop now. I don't want to talk about this here." Daniel looked at Issei with a raised eyebrow as he had all but snarled at Rias. "When I first talked about her after that day, everyone was doubting me."
"Everyone said it must've been a dream. That it was just a hallucination. Nobody believed me except for Sensei. He was the only one who believed me at all!" Issei shouted out as tear threatened to flow from his eyes. Rias looked over at Daniel with wide eyes as she heard this. "That morning I never felt as pathetic before, and I've done some things that I've regretted in my life before that day."
Issei then turned his attention towards Daniel. "I said to you yesterday that my gut was telling me to trust you. Can I?" Issei asked Daneil.
Daniel looked at the pleading eyes on both Issei and Rias before he stood up. "I was hoping that I wouldn't have to say anything during this. But I guess I have no choice."
Standing up, Daniel walked over to Issei. "I'm not gonna lie to you kid. I've already told you what I am."
"Sorry, But with everything going through my head right now I can't remember." Issei replied with wide eyes.
Daniel closed his eyes as he took off his blazer and rolled up his shirt sleeves. Tossing his blazer into the ground he started to pump d he started to pump mana into his body. Issei and the ORC watched on as they noticed the mark on Daniel's arm for the first time. 'Is that a tattoo?' Rias thought to herself as she looked at the command seal.
"Issei." Daniel called out getting his students attention. "I am a Mage. That's someone who practices and uses Magic." Daniel informed Issei and a blue glow appeared from Daniel's hand before faded not long after it had first appeared.
"But Rias is right, that girl Yuuma, is a Fallen Angel. Just like the one attacked you last night." Daniel informed Issei before he placed a hand on his shoulder. "Issei if your gut is still telling you to trust me, then I need you to listen to what Rias is telling you. I know that her words may have hurt you, but she's only saying these things to protect you."
"Can you do that for me kid?" Daniel asked Issei who nodded his head before looking down towards the ground. "I'm going to let Rias take over now Issei."
Rias had a look of thanks on her face as she nodded her head towards Daniel as he retook his seat. "There's a reason that no one else other than Sensei remembers her Issei."
"This Fallen Angel came in contact with you to accomplish a certain goal. After she accomplished it, she got rid of any record and evidence regarding herself. Including wiping the mind of those around you." Rias informed Issei as he looked at her with wide eyes. "And that goal was to kill you."
"Why did she have to kill me!?" Issei weakly asked the group. Daniel stepped up to the kid as he felt like he was about to have a panic attack.
"Calm down kid." Daniel stated out placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
"I'm sorry Issei but you were just unlucky." Rias stated to Issei.
"What do you mean, unlucky?" Issei asked with a mixed tone of anger and confusion.
"That day, you went on a date with her and then went to the park, where you were killed with Spear of Light." Rias informed Issei as she continue'd. "The reason why she approached you was so she could check if there was a dangerous thing inside of you."
"Her actions to kill you must've been because she received a weak response from it. Whenever she told you to go to the park during your date. That was when she confirmed that you were a human who possessed a Sacred Gear." Rias finished explaining to Issei
"A Sacred Gear?" Issei asked the ORC out loud.
"Sacred Gears is an irregular power that is bestowed to certain humans. For example, most of the people whose names are recorded in history are said to be possessors of a Sacred Gear. They used the power of their Sacred Gear to record their name in history." Kiba informed Issei as he took over from Rias.
"Presently, there are people who possess Sacred Gears within their bodies. You know those people who play an important role worldwide? Most of those people possess a Sacred Gear." Akeno finished as she took over from Kiba.
"Most of the Sacred Gears have functions that are only usable in the human society. But there are exceptional Sacred Gears that are a threat to us, the Devils, the Fallen and Angels." Rias informed Issei as she got up from her seat and stood in front of him. "Issei, raise your dominant hand."
Issei looked at Rias confused as she spoke out to hi once more. "Do it quickly and close your eyes."
As Issei lifted up his left hand, he followed Rias' orders and closed his eyes as well. Once done he could hear Rias' voice. "Now, imagine the strongest thing that comes to mind."
"The strongest being? Like Goku Son from Drag So-Ball Z?" Issei nervously asked Rias with a raised eyebrow.
"Then imagine it" Rias smirked back as she answered. "And just imagine that person in a particular pose when he looks his strongest."
Silently nodding Issei readied himself. 'Please don't tell me he's actually gonna do it?' Daniel thought to himself as he watched.
"You have to imagine it strongly, okay? You cannot hold back." Rias called out as she attempted to motivate Issei.
After a few awkward moments it appeared to Daniel that Rias was beginning to lose her patience. "Hurry and do it."
Thrusting his both arms forward, Iseei shouted out with all his might. "KAMEHAMEHA!
Daniel's mouth twitched as he desperately fought to hold back his laughter. However he wasn't fully successful as he couldn't help letting out a stifled laugh.
Rias quickly looked over at him and narrowed her eyes at her Teacher to which Daniel shrugged back in response as if he had done nothing wrong.
"Now, open your eyes." Rias called out to Issei. "In this place which is filled with demonic power, the Sacred Gear will be able to appear more easily."
Issei slowly opened his eyes just like Rias told him too, when a bright flash of light started to blind him and everyone else in the room. When the light faded there was a red gauntlet wrapped around Issei's left wrist.
"Are you fucking kidding me!?" Daniel shouted out, all the members of the ORC looked over to see the deranged looking in the Teacher's eyes.
Rias however looked back at her Sensei with a victorious smirk on her face. 'The fuck was that!?' Daniel screamed internally as he moved over towards Issei and the gauntlet.
"Is that all it took to activate your Sacred Gear!? No life or death scenario to activate your body's natural fight or flight responses... Just a fucking stupid Kamehamaha!?" The older members of the ORC slowly started to back away from Daniel as he glared at the red gauntlet wrapped around Issei's wrist.
For the next few minutes, Daniel spent them screaming at the device on Issei's wrist. After he was done, he slowly and calmly sat down once more on the sofa. His hands brought up to message his forehead. "I don't want to live on this planet anymore."
"Ahh, is Sensei going to be okay?" Issei nervously asked in confusion and fear. "Because there were times when I felt like his roaring wasn't really directed at me."
"That because it wasn't but kind of also was." Akeno explained with a heavy blush on her face. "Sensei's anger appears to be mostly over your Sacred Gear. However since your Sacred Gear is apart of you, his anger was also technically aimed at you as well."
With Akeno's answer, Issei looked down at his Sacred Gear. "So Yumma killed me over this." He stated with a dejected tone.
"That's correct." Rias replied as she pulled out a single leaflet. "You called me when you were on the verge of death. I was summoned through this paper."
Issei recognised the leaflet in Rias' hand. It was the same one given to him before he meet up with Yumma. "This is one of the leaflets we give out. This magic circle is used to summon us Devils." Rias explained.
"These days there aren't many people who would draw this circle to summon us. So we give these leaflets to people who look like they would summon Devils. This magic-circle is safe and easy to use." Akeno continued explaining as he filled another cup of tea in front of Daniel.
"She's correct, on Sunday my familiar was disguised as a human and was handing them out in the business district. You got it at that time, Issei." Rias stated as a small red bat appeared beside her. "After you were attacked by the Fallen Angel, you called me while you were on the verge of death. You wished so hard that it summoned me. Usually my servants like Akeno and the others would be the ones to be summoned."
Rias warmly smiled as she looked over at a blushing Issei. "When I was summoned and saw you, I knew right away that you were a Sacred Gear possessor and that you were attacked by a Fallen Angel."
Rias paused as she breifly glance over at Daniel. "But there was a problem. Issei, you were on the brink of death. Not just Devils, but humans also die if impaled by a Fallen Angels spear of light. Issei, you were in that kind of condition. So I decided to save your life."
Daniel remained silent as Rias continue'd explaining things to Issei. "And we'll be doing our best to help you get stronger. So that it doesn't happen again."
Issei looked on at the Sacred Gear on his wrist before closing it tightly. "And Cole-Sensei will be able to help you during your training." Rias finished with a smile.
"Yeah... Whatever." Daniel groaned as he weakly waved his hand in the air, at this point he didn't care.
"As the Occult Research Club's new Staff Adviser." Rias happily continue'd.
"Wait, what!?" Daniel shouted he he instantly sat upright.
"Why yes. Your idea yesterday to get us out of Homeroom got me thinking. And it didn't take Sona long to have all the necessary papers signed." Rias replied with a smirk aimed directly at Daniel.
"You're doing this just so you can keep an eye out on me aren't you?" Daniel drily asked Rias but she remained tight lipped. Looking at the other members of the ORC they each seemed to be avoiding his eye contact.
"FYI, for devils none of you can seem have the ability to lie." Daniel stated out as he leaned back once more. "Ugh... This is my life now." Daniel groaned in annoyance as he rubbed his face.
"Now Issei, as this is your first full day as a Devil, we'll be getting you to perform a simple task for us." Rias informed the boy as he began to look extremely excited.
"Really! What do I get to do?" Issei asked in excitement. It soon ended as Akeno dropped a large pile of flyers on the table between the two sofas.
"All you have to do is distribute these flyers for today." Rias informed with a warm and kind smile.
"Wait... That's it?" Issei asked with a raised eyebrow to which Rias non-verbally replied with a nod and a smile. "Then I'll get right on it then!"
As Issei grabbed the flyers he quickly stuffed them into a backpack. However just as he was about to leave Daniel called out to him. "Wait kid!"
Issei turned and looked at Daniel in confusion. "Show me your left hand." Issei done so as he watched Daniel force a bit of his mana into his left wrist and then into his own. As the glow of Daniel's mana faded
"Now I want you to activate your Sacred Gear." Daniel order Issei who done so without question. As the gauntlet appeared on Issei's wrist, another mark on Daniel's also done the same. "If you get attacked or run into another one of the Fallen while out. Activate your Sacred Gear, It'll warn me that you're in trouble and Rias the rest of the ORC will teleport to you as backup."
"Is it permanent?" Rias asked in concern.
"No, I didn't put much mana into his arm so it'll most likely be enough for about 4 maybe 5 hours." Daniel responded to Rias' question before looking back at Issei, who nodded in his understatement before he left the ORC room.
"Thank you for that." Rias softly stated out to Daniel.
"I'm just covering all bases." Daniel replied to Rias as he moved back towards the sofa. However as he done so a book on a nearby bookshelf, caught his eye.
"Is this the Witch of Endor's Grimoire?" Daniel asked Rias who looking at the books cover nodded a silent yes. Daniel silently looked at the book, then back to Rias before asking. "Can I read it?"
"Sure. There's not many useful spells in that book anyway." Rias replied as she watched Daniel sit back as he begun reading from the Grimoire.
(Evening)
As Daniel arrived home, his first actions was throwing his blazer over the arms of his sofa before falling face first onto said sofa. 'Events are already happening differently than what happened in the Anime.' Daniel thought to himself.
'Issei unlocked his Sacred Gear in the ORC room, and since the mark I left on him didn't flair up, I know that he wasn't attacked tonight... Is my presence already messing things up. Is this what Great Red wanted?' With his own thoughts confusing him Daniel groaned loudly.
"Been a rough day huh?" A smooth sounded voice called out to Daniel.
Knowing that this voice wasn't Sera's, Daniel's eyes widened as he jumped up to his feet. "Trace on!" Summoning the bone spear of Gáe Bulg, he turned to to face the unknown voice.
Who he found was a man with an average build, black hair with golden bangs along the front of his hair and black goatee beard. The man was wearing a blue kimono underneath a brown haori jacket as he leaned against his right arm against his countertop.
His body language was showing no outward signs of aggression, if anything it was showing some amusement to Daniel's reaction. "Interesting bit of Magic you've got there." The man stated out with a smirk on his face.
Daniel noticed however that the intruder's eyes widened slightly when he looked at the command seal on his right forearm. The action itself was only for a brief moment but it raised a question in Daniel's mind. 'Does he know something about the Command Seal?'
"Who the hell are you and how did you get into my home!?" Daniel asked as he narrowed his own eyes as he slightly shifted his grip on Gáe Bulg, ready to fight back with it within a moments notice.
"If I hadn't seen the real thing myself with my own eyes, I'd say that's is the real Gáe Bulg in your hands." The man continue'd, his smirk never leaving. "And judging on how you're holding your fake Gáe Bulg, I'd even say you know exactly how to use it as well."
Pumping his mana into the spear, an aura began to engulf around Gáe Bulg's spear head. While the spear's physical appearance didn't change, the aura around it seemed to form into seven smaller spear heads heads, each with seven barbs sticking out. "Answer my question. Who are you? And how did you get into my home?"
The intruder's smirk shifted into a wide grin and he stood up. Suddenly 12 wings exploded out from his back as Daniel watched on in horror. '12 wings... Shit, this just got a lot more complicated. I might not even stand a chance of surviving against him, let alone winning.'
The intruder then brought his right hand in front of his body as he lightly bowed at Daniel. "My name is Azazel, the Governor General of the Grigori. Leader of the Fallen Angels of Heaven." Azazel informed Daniel. "And as for how I got in. Well, I just simply walked in through the front door."
After a few seconds of silence, Daniel asked the only question he thought would keep him alive for a bit longer. "Would you like a drink?"

1) Serafall is over 560 years old, why would she be a student at Kuoh? Simple, to monitor Daniel. You need to remember that Daniel is a mage in this world and took a job as a teacher in a town run by devils. Of course they would send someone to monitor him.
2) If he has a near perfect match of Dante's hair does that mean it is white? No. His hair is a near perfect match to Dante's hair. Daniel's hair colour is Silver Grey, if it was White then I wouldn't be saying it's a near perfect match. Instead it'd be saying it was a perfect match.
3) This story going to be a weekly Friday update, or are you going to use a different release system? it'll be updated every Friday, I am a few chapters ahead when posting so it gives me time to write a chapter a week if I hit a bit of writers block. Although I will be taking a bit of a break after I've wrapped up the events of season 1.
4) Is Cole's Unlimited Blade Works similar to Shirou and Archers? Daniel's inner world will be different but also similar. I won't explain much at the moment but I'll just confirm that like Shirou and Archer, his inner world is filled scattered swords it is not a hill of swords.
5) How strong is the Daniel? This is gonna be a long one to answer but here goes.
Comparing power between two shows can be tricky as both worlds have different set of rules. An example is the swords in both High School DxD and Fate. What I mean is that swords from Highschool DxD act differently by granting their users power.
An example is Freed when using the Excalibur Rapidly, the speed the sword granted Freed was not an ability he had shown before. While in Fate the sword don't grant that level of power to the user, so if some Random guy grabbed Fate's Gáe Bulg he wouldn't be granted Lancer's speed.
So for this story I've given Daniel a mix of both. So when using lets say Gáe Bulg, the spear won't be granting him additional power on top of his own but instead will be allowing Daniel the knowledge of perfectly using the weapon. Even if it was a new weapon he had never seen before. Where as in Fate, tracing only grants a blueprints and history for the weapons not the ability to use them perfectly.
But in terms of how he ranks against others being like Serafall, Azazel and Sirzechs he's weaker even if he uses his Reality Marble. For terms of combat ability he is able to defeat an eight winged Fallen.
If I would to give people ranks on their powers it would be like this.
Level 1 & Level 2 - Normal non-powered Humans.
