As Sera stood directly in front of him, Daniel held out his right forearm. He traced his left hand over the Command Seal. "The first time I summoned this sword. It nearly killed me."
Sera's eyes widened at this. She didn't know the mark on his arm was over a sword. "I'm older and stronger now, but I don't want to risk summoning it again outside again."
"Outside? You mean outside of."
"Yes." Daniel stated cutting Sera off. "Outside of my Reality Marble." Before he
"I am, the Bone of my Sword."
The Born Again Fate of DxD - Chapter 7: A Rough Week
(Saturday 28th April - Evening)
As Sera and Daniel returned from the Reality Marble, Sera was looking incredibly pale. "I can't believe you have that sword... How? It doesn't even make sense! You're not meant to have that sword!" Sera shouted out in frustration.
"Now you see what I mean when I said that I'd have to show you." Daniel solemnly replied. "Turns out this blade's cursing me."
Sera then turned and held onto Daniel's face. "It's not a curse!" Sera stated with absolute authority. "Yes, it just means I won't be able to spend much time with you. So I'll be making the best and most of the time we have."
Daniel smiled and he wrapped his arms around Sera's waist. Then he remembered the gift that he used from Sera a few nights ago. "Oh, I forgot to say to you that I used that costume you gave me a few nights ago."
Sera's eyes widened with excitement. "And? How did it look?" Sera asked in excitement.
"You tell me." Daniel asked as he pulled out the pink formula seal as his outfit transformed into the same one he wore when he fought the two Fallen Angels. "Well, how do I look?" Daniel asked with a smug grin.
"Hmmm..." Sera brought her hand up to her chin as he looked at Daniel in the outfit she designed. "I don't know... There's something missing."
Daniel then remembered that he had his haired pulled back like he had done that night, so he done the same thing in front of Sera. "How about now?" He asked once more with the same grin as before.
The effect of Sera was instant as she blushed. "Wow..."
Daniel noticing Sera's reaction took it a step further. Unbuttoning the top button of his shirt and loosening the tie around his neck, Daniel leaned into Sera and put his index finger under her chin, pushing it up lightly to face him. "Is there anything else I can get you, young miss?"
This brought another instant reaction as blood flew from Sera's nose. "It's like you're already playing the role I wrote for you." Sera softly stated as she covered her nose.
'She wrote a role for me in her show?' Daniel thought to himself and then it clicked in his head. 'She's basically making me her Tuxedo Mask then.'
"So what does the lovely Magical Levia-tan wish to do now?" Daniel asked as he leaned down to Sera. "Netflix and Chill? Or straight to the Chill?"
Sera grabbed his collar and pulled him into a quick kiss. "You have 5 minutes to get your ass up those stairs and into your room."
"What are we waiting for then." Daniel replied as he lifting up Sera into a princess carry.
"If you get there in less than a minute. I'll wear that little satin number you love so much." Sera whispered into Daniel's ear as a small trickle of blood rolled out of his nose.
"Reinforce" Daniel stated out loud to Sera's confusion before he rushed towards his bedroom with Sera in his hands. He arrived there in less than 30 seconds.
(Sunday 29th April - Afternoon)
With another session with Issei completed, Rias and Asia came over to the two men with some drinks and a towel for both. "Good work today kid, you're getting faster at dodging my attacks. I'll be picking up the pace for our next session." Daniel stated as he used the towel to wipe the sweat from his forehead.
"He's right Issei." Rias stated as she gave her pawn a bottle of water. "Even in a day you've improved a lot. More than what I was expecting."
"Thank you." Issei replied before he drank the entire bottle in one go. Once he finished he looked down at the bottle before asking. "Sensei, I've been meaning to ask but... What's it like when you're using your Magic?"
Daniel thought about Issei's question for a few moments before he answered. "Depending on what I use it can vary."
"When I use Reinforce over my body it feels lighter, however by body feels stiff after. I get a feeling of pins and needles that lasts for a few moments. The other two are different though." Daniel explained.
"When using Structural Analysis I feel as one with the object I'm analysing. It's a bit of a weird sense to describe if I'm being honest. But for my Projection and Tracing it's much worse." Daniel replied as he pulled out a hand. "Trace on."
With Gáe Bulg now in his hands Daniel tightened his grip. "Every time I summon or trace a weapon into my hands, I feel it calling out to me. It's kind of like what I feel with Structural Analysis just times 10."
"I know this spear's history the moment I touch it. How it was wielded and how it wishes to be used. I've even witness the gods Scáthach has killed with this Spear. Along with witnessing Cú Chulainn killing his own son with this spear."
The eyes of the three Devils widened in shock at this but Daniel simply chuckled ignoring their response. "It was a nightmare the first time I traced the weapon as well. Even got into a bit of trouble with the Celtic Faction as well."
"So you've meet Gods?" Asia asked in shock.
"Only the one." A shiver ran up Daniel's spine as he continued. "The Trinity Goddess, The Morrígan."
Rias' eyes widened at this. The Celtic Faction was known to be silent and did not interfere with the lives of Mortals. "What was she like?"
"It depended on which one was in control of her body." Daniel answered with a smirk. I'll explain more over dinner. It's getting a bit late so I'll cook you all something before you go."
As Daniel lead the three students he watched them take their seats on his counter top. "So what would you like, Stew or Curry?" Daniel asked.
"I wouldn't mind trying stew." Rias said as she thought about her options. "Yes, I'd like stew."
"Same for me as well please." Asia also stated with a smile on her face.
With two votes already, Daniel turned towards Issei. "Looks like it's stew, even if you wanted Curry."
"I'm fine with either to be honest." Issei shrugged in response.
"Well it's going to be about half an hour for everything to cook once we're ready, so if you kids want you can watch something on the TV. I have DVDs if nothing good's on." Daniel stated as he got out a pressure cooker.
"If it's okay with you can we ask about the Goddess you meet?" Asia asked.
"Sure, Just let me get all the food we need. Lamb mince should be first." Daniel stated as he opened his fridge.
"We're having Lamb?" Issei asked in shock as it wasn't a common meat in Japan.
"Of course. When I say Stew what made you think I wasn't making an Irish Stew? Using Lamb Mince will be quicker than chops. Less time needed to cook it." Daniel retorted back with a smirk.
"What type of Irish Stew?" Asia asked as she watched Daniel pulling out more ingredients. Onions, Carrots, Potatoes, Ketchup and Brown sauce that he got imported into Japan.
"Irish White Stew. And it's best cooked in a pressure cooker. But this is what'll make it stand out above the rest!" Daniel stated as he but the bottle of Brown Sauce in front of Issei before he began pealing the potatoes.
"HP Brown sauce?" Issei replied as he read the bottle's name.
"Oh yeah. But that on a bacon sandwich and it'll be the best damn sandwich you'll ever have." Daniel informed Issei as he finished pealing and quartering the potatoes, placing them inside the pressure cooker.
"Why do you have so little ingredients?" Rias asked in confusion.
"Irish White Stew doesn't take much to make. Most recipes you'll find for this online are made by the English, so they're not good." Daniel replied as he placed the chopped carrots in the cooker.
"So what about this goddess?" Rias asked once more.
"Well, the Morrígan's mind is split between three women. Ériu, Fódla and Banba." Daniel replied as he began slicing up the two onions.
"Ériu is the Goddess of the land herself. She is the living personification of the island of Ireland itself. She's a kind and motherly to everyone who steps onto her land. She's one of the kindest beings I've ever meet."
"Fódla is the the Goddess of Death and she utterly despises me. It was this personality of the Morrígan's that cursed Cú Chulainn during the Brislech Mór Maige Murthemne or in English the great rout at Mag Murthemne... Most modern myths she her as the Banshee. But I think her hatred for me is for using Cú's most famous weapon."
"And finally Banba. She's the one I'm terrified of the most." Daniel nervously chuckled as he put the onions in to the cooker.
"Why's that? Isn't she the Goddess of Fertility?" Rias asked in confusion.
"Wait you're scared of a Goddess of Fertility? Why?" Issei asked in his own confusion.
"Issei. Let give you a warning if you ever meet a Goddess of either Love or Fertility." Daniel stated in a serious tone. Issei inched forwards waiting to hear his words of wisdom. "Don't put your dick in crazy."
"That Bad huh?" Rias asked in concern.
"The term Yandere comes into mind with her. Once she wants someone, she becomes obsessed with that being." Daniel replied with a shutter. "She's one of the reasons I refuse to go back to Ireland."
"What are the other reasons?" Asia innocently asked before she covered her mouth. "Sorry I didn't mean to pry."
Daniel in response waved off her concerns. "It's fine. The other reasons is that I don't really have anyone to go back to. With the exception of my brother, everyone I cared growing up has passed away."
"Sorry to hear that." Issei stated in a solemn tone.
"Don't be." Daniel responded as he put the cut ingredients into the pressure cooker. "The four old bats were just that. Old Ladies already close to death when I was growing up and that was nearly 30 years ago, long before any of you kids were even born."
"Humans like me can't live forever. Death comes to all those living, we just meet it earlier than Devils." Daniel finished as began to roll up meatballs from the Lamb mince.
"You say that as if you don't fear death." Rias stated with her eyebrows raised.
"That's because I don't fear death." Daniel replied instantly shocking the three Devils. "Fearing death something that'll eventually happen won't allow you to enjoy life. Besides, if you fear something that will happen, it'll only cause it to happen sooner."
'Not to mention that it's pretty easy to not fear Death after experiencing it once already.' Daniel internally thought to himself as he placed the rolled up mince into the presser cooker.
Putting a table spoon of Ketchup and Brown sauce into the Cooker, Daniel poured in a mug of water before sealing the pressure cooker. "Looks like we're on schedule at the moment." Daniel stated as he moved over towards the sofa. "So who's up for a movie. I'll let you kids pick. Just keep it in good taste if you're listening to Issei."
"Hey!" Issei shouted out in protest before he pointed towards Daniel. "How can you say that Sensei! You're a man aren't you!"
Daniel blinked owlishly at the kid for his statement. "Kid, what the hell are you talking about? Of course I'm a man."
"Then answer me this! Ass or Oppai!?" Issei shouted out, demanding an answer. Rias groaned slightly as Asia blushed in response to his outburst.
"You want an honest answer?" Daniel asked with his eyebrow raised.
"Yes!" Issei responded as he vigorously nodded his head.
"Then it's neither Kid." Daniel's answer caused Issei to fall flat on his face.
"What do you mean it's neither!?" Issei asked in a horror'd expression.
"Kid, I'm what you would call a Connoisseur... A man of Culture." Daniel sagely answered as he grinned at the young Devil. "It's thighs. And my Girlfriend's got a thicc set of perfect thighs."
"So even our Sensei's a pervert." Rias sighed in exasperation.
"Every man's a perv Rias. Just the majority have better control over their desires than this idiot." Daniel responded as he pointed him thumb at Issei. "And besides. I'm only answering the Kid's question. The only time I allow anyone to see my perverted side is between two consenting adults, and not in front of kids."
As they sat down on Daniel's sofa they watched Magical Girl Levia after Asia found the DVD. Issei at first seemed stunned but remained silent through out the show.
(Tuesday 1sts May - Afternoon)
Since Daniel had placed the Bound Field marker under the Coffee table in The ORC room, he had been able to know exactly were every member of both Sona's and Rais' peerage. And right now he was standing outside of a sealed door. The same one he had felt that dark presence from the first time he visited.
"So there's a member of Rias' peerage inside this room then huh." Daniel softly stated out loud to himself.
'The question is now, why is someone in there sealed away?' Daniel thought to himself as he felt Koneko sneak up on him.
"Boo." Koneko spoke out in her usual monotoned voice, however she was quickly disappointed as Daniel had not reacted in the way she wanted.
"Not bad kid. Better luck next time though." Daniel grinned as he looked down at the scowling Koneko.
"Why aren't you scared?" Koneko blankly asked.
"You're in my Bound Field kid. I know where everyone is in this thing." Daniel replied as he placed his hand on her head. "You aint gonna be able to sneak up on me anymore kiddo."
After Daniel had ruffled her hair, he let go and walked away chuckling to himself. Koneko meanwhile was shaking with anger. She was about to strike him from behind, but when she put her hand on her own head she didn't feel anything malice from his intention.
But she wouldn't let him get away with this, so as they both made there way to the ORC room, Koneko stamped down hard onto his foot.
"Ahh! Motherfucker!" Daniel shouted out in pain as he held onto his foot. "You wee little bitch." Daniel growled out in his native English as Koneko looked at him smugly before beginning to eat her snacks.
Daniel looked up to find Rias' struggling to hold back here own laughter. After a few moments she seemed to compose herself before taking a thoughtful look as she gazed out the window.
'There's that instinct reaction to protect Rias again. Why the hell am I having these thoughts.' Daniel thought to himself as he scowled. 'I've known the girl for two years already, why am I getting these feelings now?'
'Is it a response to known Riser is appearing soon?' Daniel asked himself as he sat down on the sofa in front of Koneko preparing for another boring day.
(Friday 4rd May - Evening)
Standing in the the School's Gymnasium with a grey tracksuit on was Daniel. In front of him was both the Student Council and the Occult Research Club. Both of which were also in their Gym uniforms. And right now Daniel his eye was twitching like there was no tomorrow.
"Y'know when I was told you needed my help in order to settle something of and I quote 'Great Importance.' I wasn't expecting something as childish as a dodgeball game." Daniel growled out. It was clear to everyone he was annoyed by his tone of voice.
"This is a waste of my time and I don't like having my time wasted. So give me one good reason I shouldn't beat the ever living shit out of all of you right now and just go home." Daniel asked, his tone not changing.
"Me and Sona have both been double booked to go to the Familiar Forrest this Sunday during the Full Moon. We need someone who isn't part of either Peerage to be fair when refereeing out match." Rias answered as Sona walked up beside her.
"Besides if you even so much as think of hurting us, Think of what my sister would do to you." Sona replied with a smirk of her own.
Daniel's eyebrow twitched at that as he took in a deep breath. "Set." Upon saying that word several seals appeared above Daniel. From each seal a thin single edged sword appeared.
The Swords fired out and hit everyone's shadow. The members of both peerages froze as they struggled to move. Daniel began to chuckle before he responded. "And I can easily call Sera right now and get her to dress you both up in Cosplay and take photos." Daniel replied to the two Devil kings causing them both to pale at the thought of Daniel's counter bluff.
"What are these swords?" Issei asked as he grunted out in an attempt to move.
"They're called Black Keys. Used by the Church against Vampires. Once a Key has pierced a Shadow it magically binds the owner in place." Daniel replied as he sighed, raising his hand as he done so.
With a click of his fingers, the swords faded back into their seals. With both peerages freed Sona and Rias nervously looked over at their Sensei. "I'm heading home. Good luck to who ever wins." Daniel drily stated as he turned towards the exit.
"You're seriously not gonna help us!?" One of Sona's peerage asked in shock.
"This is Devil Business kid, Not my problem." Daniel lazily waved in response just before he left the Gymnasium.
"What an asshole!" Saji stated once he knew that Daniel was not within hearing distance.
"To be fair, we did kind of call him out here in the middle of the night claiming it was an urgent matter." Akeno stated out in Daniel's defence as she looked amused at Sona and Rias' still pale look.
"You don't think he was serious do you Sona?" Rias nervously asked.
"I believe he was." Sona replied as she turned to face Rias. "Let's agree not to get on Sensei's bad side."
"Agreed." Rias instantly replied. "Now let's get on with our match."
(Sunday 6th/Monday 7th May - Midnight)
As Daniel trained in his Training Room he was nearing the end of his push ups. '98... 99... 100' Daniel mentally counted as he stood up.
However as he done so he felt a reaction wash over him. It was a reaction to the Bounded Field he has set up in The ORC club room. "That fucker's back already." Daniel stated out loud to himself in English.
Knowing that it was normally a 10 minute drive from his home to the School, Daniel thought it would be best to run there using his Magic to reinforce his limbs and increase his speed.
It took him 2 minutes to arrive at the School's gates. Closing his eyes to try and sense the foreign presence, Daniel felt that it was coming from the ORC room itself. "Bastard is trying to bug the room now, instead of watching them like before. Fucker doesn't seem to learn!"
"Trace on!" Daniel shouted out as he summoned a golden spear and dagger. The spear in his right hand was the golden spear Gáe Buidhe. While the dagger in his right hand was the golden dagger Beagalltach. He knew that when dealing with immortal beings these weapons would be the best to ensure his victory.
With his weapons in his hands, Daniel rushed towards the ORC room quickly so he wouldn't be noticed. Bursting through the door he readied Gáe Buidhe while holding Beagalltach in a reverse defensive grip so he could destroy any magical attacks sent his way.
Getting a quick glace inside the room, Daniel noticed that in front of Rias were two figures he had not seen before. The first was a man who like Rias was a Red head, while the other was a Silver haired woman wearing a blue maid uniform standing just behind the Red haired man in a white suit.
Rias appeared to be in shock as Daniel burst through in his training gear. The eyes of the other two were also showing shock as they stared at Daniel. "All right! Explain why you're trespassing in my student's territory!" Daniel shouted out as he tightly gripped Gáe Buidhe.
"Sensei!?" Rias exclaimed out with wide eyes in shock. "What are you doing here!?"
Daniel growled out in annoyance as he glanced over at Rias for a brief moment, all before quickly putting his eyes on the two unknown members in the room. "It seems you've forgotten about the Bounded Field I placed under the coffee table Rias. The presence of these two here activated it."
Once Daniel had finished explaining Akeno brought a trolley of tea and biscuits into the room. Taking one look at what was happening Akeno exclaimed out. "Oh my, it appears I didn't bring enough cups. Silly me, I'll just go get some more." Akeno then wisely left the room while the stand off was occurring.
"Now explain before I attack you both." Daniel stated out as he leaned forward, readying himself to lunch forward.
"Sensei wait!" Rias called out stopping Daniel. "This is my brother and his wife!" Rias stated out.
The news of this caused Daniel to look at the duo in shock. Now that he had a closer look at the man in front of Rias did resemble her quite a lot now that he had a decent look at him. In a flash of blue light both Gáe Buidhe and Beagalltach vanished from Daniel's hands. "It appears I overacted then. Sorry for that. I take it then that the reason your brother is visiting is over a Family matter?"
"Yes. I'm sorry I forgot about the Bound Field when bringing him here." Rias replied as she apologised.
"It's fine... As long as your safe that's all that matters in the end." Daniel sighed out as he turned. "I'll leave you all be then."
However just before Daniel was about to leave the man called out to him. "Wait! Would I be correcting in saying you killed the Phoenix that was watching Rias?"
"Yes, that was me." Daniel responded.
"Then if it's alright with you I'd like for you to stay for a while." Surprised that he was asked to stay Daniel looked back at Rias' brother. "My name is Sirzechs Lucifer and this is my wife Grayfia Lucifuge. It's a pleasure to meet you. I take it you're one of the teachers at this school?"
"Yes, I'm Rias' English Teacher as well as the Faculty Adviser for the Occult Research Club." Daniel responded to Sirzechs question.
"if it's okay with you could I ask you a few questions about Rias' time here in this school?" Sirzechs asked as he smiled at Daniel.
Daniel looked over at Rias and noticed that she was looking at little confused about what was happening. "If it doesn't interfere with whatever is happening between you and Rias I have no issue with answering a few questions."
As Daniel sat down beside her, Rias noticed that Grayfia was not objecting to what was happening. "I'm sorry but in all this excitement I never did catch your name." Sirzechs stated out.
"Oh, my bad. It's Daniel Cole, it's a pleasure to meet you." Daniel replied back with a smile.
This seemed to bring a smile to not only Sirzechs' face but Grayfia's as well. "How long have you been the Faculty Adviser for Rias-tan's club?" Sirzechs asked as he kept the smile on his face.
'Rias-tan? Oh god don't tell me...' Daniel's thoughts were cut short when he seen Grayfia tightly grab a hold of Sirzechs' cheek.
"Please remain professional Sirzechs-sama." Grayfia spoke to the Satan in a strict tone.
"Ow, ow, ow, I'm sowwy Gwayfia." Sirzech childishly responded as he cried out in pain.
'Oh dear god, I was right... There's something mentally wrong with the leaders of each Faction.' Daniel's world shattered as he held onto his head.
Rias looked on at her Sensei's sudden change in mood. "Are you okay Sensei?" Rias asked in concern.
"I'm okay kid, just... Just losing my faith in the supernatural." Daniel struggled to inform Rias as he rubbed his forehead. "It's just not easy now knowing that two of the Devil's leaders have sister complexes."
His comments brought a drop of sweat from the three Devils in the room. "Wait she told you!?" Rias asked once she realised what Daniel had said.
"Yeah, Sera told me last week when she visited after you, Issei and Asia had finished your training. Was a good night." Daniel responded as he softly smiled.
"So you know Lady Leviathan?" Grayfia asked as she recovered from Daniel's earlier comments.
"Yeah." Daniel nervously answered as he didn't want to piss off the wife of Lucifer.
"And how long has seen known you've had that?" Grayfia asked as she pointed to the Command Seal on Daniel's forearm.
"About 5 years or so." Daniel replied back before his eyes narrowed. "What do you know about this mark?"
"It's." Grayfia was about to explain but was cut short by Sirzechs.
"Enough Grayfia!" Sirzechs snapped out, shocking both Rias and his wife.
"I understand." Grayfia responded before Sirzechs whispered something into his wife's ear. Her eyes widened for a brief moment before they settled.
"You don't need to be so secretive over it. I already know what's inside of the Seal." Daniel spoke out shock the two older Devils.
"It's a seal..."
"What's inside?.." Sirzechs and Grayfia both stated and asked in shock, before they snapped their heads towards Daniel.
"It's appears that you both didn't know that though." Daniel drily stated as he thought about wither it would be best telling Sirzechs and Grayfia or not. "Since Sera already knows, I see no harm in telling you both. However Rias I'm gonna need you to leave the room."
"And why should I do that?" Rias asked as she stood up in slight anger.
"Because this is best only known by the leader of the Devil Faction. So your not ready to know this yet." Daniel responded as he look up at his student. "What I'm going to be telling your brother is only known to Sera and only Sera.
Rias wanted to argue that she should know but when she seen the look in her brother's eye, she knew it would be best she listened to her Sensei. "And don't even think of trying to listen in like Akeno is doing." Daniel statement caused an 'eep' from Akeno to be heard near the door. "You're within my Bound Field, I'll know where you are."
As Rias left the room, Daniel waited a few moments before Sirzechs stating out. "So tell me what you know about this mark of yours."
"My Magic originates from a Reality Marble called Unlimited Blade Works. It allows me to create swords and other melee weapons by using my mind. However these weapons are only fakes of the original thing. Weapons just like the ones you seen me enter this room with." Daniel explained to both Sirzechs and Grayfia.
"This mark on my arm, contains a sword. It's sperate but also a part of my Unlimited Blade Works. And it's one that I know I was born with, since the Nuns that raised me have told me this when I was a kid." Daniel continued.
"It contains a sword?" Grayfia asked in shock.
"What sword?" Sirzechs asked as he narrowed his eyes at Daniel.
"The only sword that I can create, that's the real thing. The Sword of Promised Victory, Excalibur."

1) Will Le Fay be in the harem? Nope. Daniel is 28 while Le Fay is like 14/15. Not a chance of that happening.
2) Not sure if this is considered a spoiler but will he summon a servant? No worries, it's not a spoiler question. Unfortunately Daniel won't be summoning a Servant as there is no Holy Grail war in this world.
