"Little lover boy?" Sera asked with her arms crossed and a raised eyebrow. "Didn't we recently agree not to be keeping secrets from one another? So can you tell me who this woman is? And why she's called you her little lover boy?"
So here stood Daniel Cole. Stuck in a room with an Exorcist from the Catholic Church that was also his Brother, who had kidnaped someone who was more or less a Youkai Princess, The Governor General of the Grigori Azazel, his Student Aika Kiryuu who wanted to be trained in the Magical Arts, the Queen of the Land of Shadows Scáthach and his Girlfriend who just so happened to be the Satan Leviathan.
All of them for a few silent seconds kept switching their view between Daniel and the door. When one one else arrived they all settled their eyes on Daniel. 'Well... This has quickly turned into a clusterfuck.' Daniel groaned internally. 'I'm gonna need more alcohol to deal with this.'
So he said the only thing that made sense in his mind. "I can explain... I hope."
The Born Again Fate of DxD - Chapter 13: Road trip to Kyoto.
(Wednesday 23rd May - Evening)
"Well?" Sera stated out as she tapped her foot. "I'm still waiting on that answer."
"The Celtic Faction are watching me again. She was sent here by the sociopath." Daniel stated as he pointed his thumb at Scáthach who simply smiled and waved at Sera. At this news Sera looked at little bit worried for Daniel.
"So she's after you again?" Killian asked with the same concern Sera had. "I thought she stopped when you moved here?"
"I thought so too." Daniel sighed out in annoyance. "I wish she'd just leave me alone. I'm not Cú dammit."
"Sorry to interrupt but I need a bit of context here." Azazel stated out as Aika and Kunou both silently nodded in agreement. "Who is this sociopath as you call and why is she after you?"
"He's talking about the Morrigan." Scáthach answered with a grin before he jumped and held onto Daniel's arm. "And I call him lover boy because he intrigues me."
Azazel owlishly blinked for a few seconds before bursting out laughing. "Oh, man. You seriously have his luck hahaha."
"Whose luck?" Killian asked in confusion.
"Well, either Cú's or his old man's. Your pick." Azazel answered which brought a shocked reaction from Killian.
"You know who Danny's old man is!?" Killian asked as he pointed his finger at Azazel.
"Sure do. In fact, I'm pretty sure most of the Supernatural world knows at this point." Azazel replied before he looked over at Scáthach. "In fact it might explain why she's here."
"Scáthach was already here before that." Daniel replied with a shake of his head. "I ran into her before the Rating Game."
"So you know who you're old man is then?" Killian asked as he looked at his brother.
"Yeah about that." Daniel nervously stated as he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "It'll be best if I tell you in private."
As Daniel pulled Killian over to the side and began to whisper into his ear, Azazel tilted his head over to Sera. "How well do you think he'll take it?"
"WHAT YOU MEAN YOU'RE THE SON OF LUCIFER!?" Killian roared out in English, his shock was clear in the tone of his voice.
"About that well." Sera replied as he face palmed.
Taking a split second to translate what was said, both Aika and Kunou looked over at Daniel with wide eyes. Scáthach on the other hand looked like she had just won the jackpot.
"Keep your voice down ya idiot!" Daniel growled back as he slapped the back of Killian's head.
"So you're a Devil then? Or a Half Devil?" Killian asked before he gasped out in shock. "Are you the Anti-Christ?"
"Of course I'm not ya fucking idiot!" Daniel snarled back. "I only found out like two days ago myself. And how many times did we both go to Church as kids!? So of course I'm not the fucking Anti-Christ!"
"Well now that I think about it, you do use Holy Weapons." Killian stated as he grabbed his chin in a thoughtful pose.
"Yeah... I know." Daniel replied back again before bringing Killian over to the group again.
"Now than that settled I'm deal with you two." Daniel stated as he looked over at Aika and Kunou.
Looking at Aika first Daniel began. "Honestly I'll only really be able to teach you basic Magecraft and Magic. Anything further or more advanced then you'll have to be under an apprenticeship with a Magician or become part of a Guild."
"That's fine with me. As long as I can get started in Magic." Aika replied with a determined nod.
"Good. Now most likely I'm gonna be too busy to really begin teaching you for the next month or so. But I'll get in contact with a few friends who might want to take you as an apprentice. Just don't get you hopes up okay." Daniel stated as he folded his arms.
"Thank you Sensei." Aika replied.
"Alright, now go home. I'll talk to you in school when I get news back or when I'll be ready to start training you." Daniel informed Aika who didn't need to be told twice and booked it out of Daniel's home.
"So Scáthach, Azazel. Would you like Tea or Coffee?" Daniel asked as he walked behind his kitchen countertop.
"Coffee please." Scáthach replied with a happy smile but was cut short by Sera.
"Hold it." Sera stated out. "Why haven't you kicked them both out yet?"
"As much as I'd want to, I know they'd just walk back in again." Daniel replied with a defeated sigh before he whispered into Sera's ear. "I promise to make it up to you."
"You better." Sera replied as she sat down along with everyone else.
As Daniel served out the drinks he leaned on the countertop and faced Kunou. "So what brings the Princess of Kyoto to my home?"
Kunou looked nervous ad she played with her fingers. "There's been some trouble in Kyoto and I thought of asking for your help."
"What's wrong Ku-chan?" Sera asked in concern.
"Recently there have been reports of young Youkai being kidnapped." Kunou stated out as she continued playing with her fingers. "And I heard of you because Sera-nee told me and mother about you. She said you were really strong, so I thought you'd be able to help us."
"You talked about me to the leader of the Youkai faction?" Daniel asked with a raised eyebrow.
"She wanted to know why I was always visiting Japan so often and not meeting up with her... And I wanted to brag about my boyfriend." Sera blushed as she answered which caused Azazel to chuckle.
"These kidnappings? Have they been going on for the last few weeks or so?" Killian asked with a serious look on his face.
Kunou silently nodded a yes to him which caused him to groan out. "Then it worse than I thought."
"What do you mean?" Daniel and Sera both asked.
"I've been sent by the Vatican because an Orphanage run by the Church has been experiencing kidnappings as well." Killian replied. "The only case happened around two weeks ago."
"The two might be connected." Azazel stated out while Scáthach nodded in agreement.
"I agree, and I'd like to help. While my mission is to monitor Daniel, I just sit back and ignore the lives of Children who are at risk." Scáthach stated out which caused the rest of the Adults to nod in agreement.
Placing a hand on Kunou's head, Daniel ruffled her hair. "And I'll be more than happy to help out as well missy."
Looking over at Sera Daniel continued. "Sera, would you be able to give me a get a contact number for Sona. I'm gonna be taking a few days off to help out Killi and Kunou."
'And I only just got back as well.' Daniel groaned internally.
"Sure." Sera replied with a smile. "And I'll be best messaging Yasaka as well."
"I'm guessing Yasaka is Kunou's mother?" Daniel asked to which Sera nodded back a yes in reply as she pulled out a seal and teleported away. "Right so that leaves you two." Daniel stated as he looked over at Azazel and Scáthach.
"And what about us?" Scáthach asked with a smirk. "I did say I'd help y'know. You really gonna kick me out?"
Daniel sighed in annoyance as he narrowed his eyes at Scáthach. "Killi is gonna be taking the couch while the kid's gonna be in my spare room. I haven't any room for you to stay the night."
"But besides that, you've been in Kouh for nearly two weeks. You more or less already have a place to stay." Daniel replied with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh I do. Full expense Penthouse paid by Lugh himself." Scáthach answered with a grin and a sigh from Daniel.
"Well if you want, you can stay with me?" Azazel offered with a wink.
"I already know about your reputation. I'll pass." Scáthach replied back as she pulled back away from Azazel.
"Hurt my feelings why don't you." Azazel held his heart in a light hearted fashion.
"You guys are nothing like the stories I've been told." Kunou wined as she leaned down on the table.
"You have no idea kid." Daniel nodded in reply to the kid's complaints. "Just be here by 5am tomorrow morning. The earlier we leave the more time we will have to set things up in Kyoto."
"Why that early?" Scáthach and Killian both asked in confusion while Kunou and Azazel both thought the same thing.
"Because I'll be driving there. While booking for the Tokaido Shinkansen is easy enough, I really don't want to go through the hassle at this time of the night." Daniel stated with a groan. "And don't forget, Kouh isn't directly on the Tokaido Shinkansen. We'll have to go trough both the Sagamihara and Yokohama lines during the morning rush. I done that for over a year, it's not a friendly environment for anyone to go through."
Azazel nodded his head sagely at Daniel's reasoning as he continued. "Besides, it's only an extra three hours so it's no big deal."
"Then I'll leave you too it." Azazel stated as he got up from his seat but not before he left a piece of paper on the countertop. "Here's my number. If you need any help, feel free to give me a call."
Azazel left soon after as Scáthach done the same. "See you tomorrow morning lover boy." Scáthach winked as she too left Daniel's home.
With Killian and Kunou left along with Daniel, Sera arrived back. "Okay, you're mom's happy that you're safe and well. Apparently she nearly took Kyoto apart looking for you."
Kunou in response looked down sheepishly. "And I also told her that I'll be bringing you back tomorrow after you get a good night's sleep." Sera stated as she hugged Kunou.
"So you get to stay the night with me and Dan! Sleepover party!" Sera stated excitedly as Kunou smiled up at Sera.
"I'll get a spare bedsheet and pillow from the hot-press for you." Daniel stated to Killian as he stood up and walked upstairs.
Once Daniel was gone, Sera turned around and eyeballed Killian. "What?" Killian nervously asked.
"It's scary how well Dan described you." Sera cryptically stated to Killian who looked back the Sera in confusion.
"W-what did he say?" Killian asked but was only meet with a smirk from Sera as she lead Kunou upstairs. "What did he say?!"
(Thursday 24th May - Morning)
They were roughly three hours into their drive to Kyoto. In the front of Daniel's Chevy Impala was Daniel and Killian, while Scáthach, Sera and Kunou sat in the back. Kunou sitting in the middle between the two women.
To help passing the time a bit easier, Daniel was playing music through his Bluetooth Radio. It was from a playlist he had created through his Spotify. Every now and then, either Sera or Scáthach would sing out the song that was playing.
The song playing were old classic rock and roll songs from the 70's, 80's and early 90's, but as Blue Oyster Cult's Don't Fear the Reaper just ended, Daniel noticed the song that was next and paused the music.
"Killi... Are you ready?" Daniel asked his brother with a serious tone.
Killian looked over at Daniel's phone and seen the song that was next to play. "I'm ready." Killian replied with the same serious tone.
"Should I be worried?" Sera asked in some concern.
"Don't worry about it. This is just our jam." Daniel quickly replied.
"Stop wasting time." Killian snapped at Daniel before he pointed forward.
"HIT IT!" Killian exclaimed out as Daniel hit play.
Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide,
No escape from reality.
Sera and Kunou both raised their eyebrows both for different reasons. for Kunou it was mainly because she had never heard this song before. While Sera's reason was because both Killian and Daniel were both overacting to the song's lyrics and she had never seen Daniel do something like this before. Scáthach on the other hand almost instantly joined singing along with the two in the front of the car.

The duo of Kunou and Sera were starting to get more into the song as it continued playing. Daniel, Killian and Scáthach just simply continued singing their hearts out. Scáthach singing the high notes, while Daniel and Killian song the low ones.
Sera couldn't help but note how horrible her boyfriend and his brother's singing voices were. Compared to Scáthach's which was like an Angels.
Mama, just killed a man,

But now I've gone and thrown it all away.
Scáthach sang out to her heart's content as she slowly swayed sideways and Daniel and Killian both tapped the dashboard and steering wheel like they were playing the piano for her.

When the tone of the song changed, Scáthach keep the drama going as Daniel and Killian started acting again like her backup singers, this time thought joined by Sera.
I see a little silhouetto of a man,

Thunderbolt and lightning very, very frightening me.

As the guitar riff played through both Killian and Daniel began to head bang at the front of the car joined by Scáthach in the back. Kunou and Sera both giggled before joining in for the fun.

As the music died down back to a piano, the singing trio had clamed down the headbanging as Scáthach sang the last parts on her own.

Once both Daniel and Killian had calmed down both Kunou and Sera laughed at their expense. However the two didn't really care as Elton John's I'm Still Standing began to play. "What was that last song?" Kunou asked, Daniel looked in his rear view mirror and seen the smile on her face.
"That was the greatest song of all time. Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. It's a song me and Killi used to listen to as kids." Daniel answered.
"Yeah, we had make sure the Sisters didn't catch us. They were old fashioned and thought rock and roll was the Devil's music." Killian continued as he chuckled from his memories.
"Well does the little missy have any request?" Daniel asked as he looked in the rear mirror.
Kunou looked a little sheepish as she didn't really listen to music much and the only artist she even listened to was because she had seen their billboards around Kyoto. "Can you play AKB48?"
"Sure thing." Daniel replied as he nodded his head towards his phone. "You'll have to search for it on my phone Killi."
Killian done so as they continued on towards Kyoto with the songs of AKB48 playing on the Bluetooth radio.
(Midday)
Arriving just after 1pm, Sera stated that they would be best leaving Kunou off with her mother before checking in with the Orphanage. Killian and Scáthach agreed but Daniel decided that they should split up for now.
"So you want me to go with your brother and check out the Orphanage while you check out the Youkai side?" Scáthach asked as she placed her hand on her hips.
"Yes." Daniel answered as he crossed his arms over his chest. "We have to play it safe here. There's a possibility these kidnappings are connected, so the quicker we get information, the sooner we can piece everything together."
"Besides with Killi's Sacred Gear we should be able to get answers soon." Daniel stated as he pointed to Killian's right arm.
"That's if Lina stops acting up." Killian grumbled in annoyance. His response cause Daniel to raise an eyebrow at him. "She's not been happy since we left Rome. It is her city after all."
"Tell her to get over herself then." Daniel stated back which caused a gem to appear on Killian's right forearm.
"I heard that brat." The gem stated out. The voice sounded like it was from an elderly woman. Killian's Sacred Gear was called Lupa Capitolina or The Capitoline Wolf and she was the same she-wolf that raised the mythical twin founders of Rome, Romulus and Remus.
"Well you can't do a damn thing over it, you old hag." Daniel replied back with a smirk.
"Old hag!?" Lina sounded shocked at first before she growled. "You're lucky I'm stuck in this idiot, brat."
"Is this normal?" Kunou asked Sera who shrugged in response.
"Is it?" Sera asked Killian who sighed out.
"Yeah... Ever since we were kids. The two just keep insulting each other." Killian replied with an exasperated sigh. 'Although she says that he reminds her of Remus who always fought with her as well.' Killian thought to himself.
"You should be grateful I'm even still looking out for this idiot." Lina stated out with a smug and superior tone.
"And whose the one that's walking right now." Daniel countered with a smirk.
"Low blow bro." Killian winced while Daniel just shrugged.
"She knows I mean nothing by it." Daniel's statement was meet with a grunt from Lina. "Besides the old hag'll forget about it soon anyway."
"If I ever get out, I'm shitting all over you." Lina growled out as Daniel smirked.
"That's a big if." Daniel responded which had shut Lina up. "Text me when you arrive there." Daniel stated to Killian who nodded back.
However as he tried to walk away Scáthach didn't appear to like the new plan. "Wait, don't I get a say in this?" Scáthach asked with wide eyes, her arms extended out.
"It might not be the best thing if you come with us to meet Yasaka." Sera drily answered.
"And why's that?" Scáthach asked with her hands once more on her hips.
"You have Gáe Bolg with you, and you're a known God killer walking into Youkai and Shinto Territory that can easily grab someone and pull them into the Land of Shadows." Daniel drily added as Scáthach started to look at least a little sheepish.
"You may have a point." Scáthach lightly chuckled as she pointed at Killian. "I'mma... Just go and follow him."
As Killian and Scáthach walked away, Daniel turned to face Sera. "You think I was being harsh with Lina and Scáthach?"
Sera shrugged in response as Kunou began to lead them towards the Youkai centre of Kyoto.
(Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine - Afternoon)
After a 2 hour walk up the side of a mountain, Sera, Daniel and Kunou had finally arrived just outside of the Youkai Palace which just so happened to be the Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine. "Never thought I would be able to see this Shine. Or even walk through the 10000 Torii gates in the Fushimi Inari Pathway."
"I know. I thought the fist time when we visited here over 50 years ago." Sera nodded in agreement.
"Mother says it's also her favourite as well." Kunou added before she came to a stop.
Daniel noticed this and raised an eyebrow at her actions. "What's up?" Daniel asked in confusion.
Kunou didn't answer as Sera tugged on his sleeve. "Umm Dan... Where is everyone?" Sera nervously asked.
"Does this normally happen?" Daniel asked out loud but was shocked when he noticed a ball of blue flames quickly coming towards his direction. "Oh shit!"
Daniel exclaimed out as he quickly grabbed a hold of the stunned Kunou. Jumping out of the way with Kunou in his arms Daniel rolled backwards as he landed on his backside. "Take the kid and hide!" Daniel shouted out to Sera.
"Let me help." Sera stated out to which Daniel quickly countered.
"You're far stronger than me. So you're more suited to protecting her than I am. Now go!" Daniel shouted out as another ball of blue flames came towards Daniel at a high speed. Daniel tried to move out of the way but it seemed that these flames were different as they seemed to be following him.
"Rho Aias!" As the flames came into contact with the plasma shield, Daniel noticed that the flames were melting the petals of Rho Aias at a much faster rate than what Riser's flames were.
He knew that had to do something quickly or else he would be barbeque'd soon. "I am, the Bone of my Sword!" Daniel exclaimed out as he pumped more mana into Rho Aias.
The petals were now larger and thicker than what they were when he faced against Riser but it was little effective as the flames managed to destroy Rho Aias. "Trace on!" Summoning Gáe Dearg in to his hands, Daniel brought the Crimson Rose of Exorcism up to meet the blue flames in the hope that it might be able to nullify the attack.
Upon contact with one another, the flames stopped at the spear's tip, Daniel sighed in relief. "What were you doing with my Daughter, Magician!?" A tall blonde woman wearing a Shine Maiden's Miko outfit exclaimed out to Daniel.
Daniel couldn't help but notice the woman's extremely large chest which was left slightly exposed. 'Those things cannot be natural! They're bigger than my head!' Daniel thought to himself with wide eyes. Barely able to take his eyes away from the woman's chest, Daniel finally noticed the nine blonde tails and two ears within the gold crown on the top of her head.
"Mother!" Kunou stated out as she and Sera rushed to the woman's side.
"Please don't attack Dan!" Sera exclaimed out as she tried to protect Daniel.
"Dan?" The woman asked out loud in confusion before her eyes went wide in shock. "As in your boyfriend Dan? Right?"
Sera silently nodded as the woman turned to face Daniel. "Hello." Daniel weakly waved at the woman. "It's nice to meet you."
And Cut!
So to start of this Story's second season we'll be doing an original story. I honestly at this stage don't know how many chapters this will take but it will be 5 minimum. There will so be a new villain for this Arc as well that isn't part of the Main cannon story.
And since the last chapter was posted this story has hit over 1000+ followers. And I'd just like to say thank you all so very much!
This chapter's Q&A!
1) I just wanted to know what is Dan's power level in devil terms. Is he like any other low-class devil if reincarnated? In terms of power Daniel currently stands about a High Class Devil. However he is capable of fighting beings at a higher level due to his usage of the Weapons and UBW itself.
2) Are you going to use other swords and spears for arrows like Clarent, Gáe Bulg or the Excalibur fragments? Yes, however they will be in later chapters.
3) Isn't Sairaorg full blooded devil with Regulus being a member of his peerage since his a living sacred gear that choose Sairaorg as its new wielder? Yes, however I decided to switch it up for this one as I wanted to give Sairaorg a higher standing as he gained his position even though he is a half blood in this story.
4) Is Daniel parents going to have a real impact in the story or is the discovery just gonna provide some minor drama like its been so far? The impact that Sirzechs and Grayfia will have on Daniel will mainly be background political one. Not so much as story wise until the end of this season.
5) Dropped? No, far from it. Just took a break.
