Prologue

Trunks woke from his sleep with a start, almost jumping off of his bed. It was that dream again. The one where he could only watch as a spectator as the Androids Killed his mother Bulma. As his heart stopped beating so quickly, he took a deep breath and laid back down. It was okay. Everything was okay. The androids were dead. Cell was dead. Dabura and Babidi were dead. The world was at a tentative peace.

It was his thirty first birthday, and he would enjoy himself today. The world had gone far in rebuilding after the horrible past with the Androids, and today would be another day that reminded him that he needed to not fall to his complacency.

Trunks rolled out of bed and stood up, stretching the sleep out of his body with a long yawn. His muscled body had become a slight bit less firm over the past two years as the many years of peace had begun to slightly dull his edge.

When he was done stretching and his yawn petered off, he decided to walk over to his shower room to wash off the night's sweat.

Walking into the blue tiled room, he stripped naked and placed his night clothes in the hamper. Then, he pulled open the glass door to the shower and stepped inside. As he washed off and enjoyed the warm water on his skin, he thought about where he would go on with his life from here on out. It had been almost six years since Dabura was destroyed and no one else had been foolish enough to attack the earth.

However, sometimes the worst enemy is not external, but instead it is curiosity itself.

Just as Trunks was finishing up the shower, a earthshaking explosion rocked the entire building followed by a scream from his mother, sending Trunks slamming against the shower wall.

"What?" Trunks asked seemingly no-one.

Quickly running out of the shower and drying himself with his Ki and tossing on some clothes and shoes, he ran towards where the explosion happened. Right to his mother's lab.

"Oh no" Trunks whispered out as he saw just what awaited him. In the underground lab that now looked like it was blasted by a missile with soot and metal all over the large concrete rom, the remains of a machine lay smoking and twisted while a large tear in reality the size of a large car flickered and twisted. He could feel it's pull, and it was not something his mother could have resisted.

"No" Trunks growled as he clenched his fists, and burst into Super Saiyan. His Ki protecting him like a shield.

"Mom, I'm coming to save you" Trunks promised, then he dove into the rift.

On the other side of the rift Trunks floated a few meters above the ground. He was in a grassy field surrounded by hills and trees for miles. Sending his Ki out across the lands in a desperate hope to find his Mother's signature, he was horrified to find he couldn't find it anywhere on the planet.

"No. No. NO!" Trunks yelled as he was overcome by fear that he hadn't felt since the androids. His mother was gone. There were life forms nearby, many human and nonhuman, but they didn't matter to him right now. All that mattered was finding his mother.

Unconsciously, his aura had been intensifying and expanding with his tumultuous emotions and hurricane force winds had begun blasting across the land as giant country wide storms began forming all over the planet. Man, Women, Children, Soldiers, Ogres, Orcs, and Beastmen alike were blown across the land like ragdolls as their buildings and residences shook. Trees were sent flying for miles, and tsunamis struck the shores of the oceans. Ships sending goods and trade across the oceans were sunk and the large trade caravans that traveled across the countryside were blown over and their horse and wyverns dared not move.

So enraptured by fear that he had not felt for many years, Trunks did not focus on suppressing his Aura. Shooting across the sky at speeds far beyond any modern jet or spacecraft could achieve, Trunks called out for his mother as he tore through the skies.

On Alnus hill, The JSDF were panicking. Tanks were being tossed around like ragdolls and their less structurally sound buildings were beginning to topple. The weather was not supposed to act like this. Many JSDF officers were thrown around like leaves in the wind along with the residents of the Special Region who all screamed in terror as if some god was unhappy with them

One of the only people capable of withstanding the winds, Rory the Reaper braced against the winds in a state of rapture. The power that washed over the world was far more intense than anything she had felt before. She shivered in ecstasy and wondered how the other Apostles would be taking this.

Was a god finally descending upon the world? Had the end times come?

Whatever it was, She felt that she had to find the cause of this immense power, no matter the cost.
