Lancex was floating in space, which was a bit disturbing to Lancex at first. His friends, who had helped him defeat the huge and violet three headed boss Orion in the end, were floating there as well. There was still the matter of saving their planet, and Lancex only knew of one way to do it, the nasty gate had to be closed and closed now. Even though he had suffered many injuries during the battle, he saw the gate and knew what he had to do. He friends begged him not to, but Lancex saw little other choice to end the reign of terror that had reigned over their home world. His friends didn't want him to go, but they understood that Lancex was going to do what he felt called to do to save them and their home world.
Drawing forth his bahamut, Lancex charged for the open gate, as he knew that only sacrificing himself would he have a chance at shutting the deadly gate. His friends could only watch as the silver haired man with the purple right eye headed for the gate. Lancex was determined to save his home world, even if it cost him his life.
Once Lancex and his bahamut reached the evil and despicable gate, something happened and it happened very suddenly and quickly. A great light appeared in a flash, stunning all as they hadn't expected to see that, even Lancex, but it didn't stop him. However, once the light was gone, Lancex's friends realized that while gate was closed and their world was safe, they couldn't be sure if Lancex was dead or merely transported to another realm long ago and far away. They mourned him before heading back to their loved ones. Wherever he was, they swore that they would never forget him.
Meanwhile, completely out of his normal realm, Lancex found himself lost in space. He didn't know where he was or what was going on, but he was determined that wherever he was, he was going to keep his wits about him and hopefully find his way home. Thing was, he had no idea that where he called home would soon change.
