I guess unlike before I was able to find the encouragement to return to writing my stories again. Thank you all for your support and staying with me after all these years I hope you enjoy this.
After some shopping around was finished the two disguised blue haired teens decided it was time for something alittle different. A break away from looking at nice stuff was one thing but interactive amusement felt more necessary so what better way than for Sonic and Miku to have than hitting the arcade section. This area unlike the other places they went was large enough to store say probably three bigger shops worth of room as it was needed. There were all sorts of a variety of playable machines ranging from dozens of rail shooters to several one vs one fighting games and a number of prize earning challenges and of course there is the prize counter with the owner about in his late 30's sitting on his used chair reading the news paper not paying much attention to what's around.
The first thing Sonic and Miku did for their enjoyment was take in the backseat of a stationary racing game. Side by side they were steering their controlling driving wheel intensively as if they were competing against eachother.
Miku kept her unblinking eyes and forced concentrated eyes on the game screen with so much commitment. "You may be fast on your feet Sonic but let's see how you do on this track!"
Sonic would answer in the same attitude and expression to her challenge. "I'll show you! My mind and skills match my powers!"
The both of them intend to prove to one another who was better at this particular game as it leveled the playing field for the teen Vocaloid.
"I've played machines like this back in my place and this newer model is no different!" Miku kept pushing on.
Sonic answered back without relent. "That doesn't scare me. I have experience in getting new things done faster!"
They kept competing with each other over the screen as either of their racing cars in front view were trying to remain on track and bypass other AI controlled vehicles. Sonic chose the red car for his playable machine while his opposite went for the yellow one; at the very least they were both currently in a draw with every other racer besides them were far behind leaving the two to decide who's gonna be in first place.
The female Vocaloids' level of confidence started raising even higher. "I'm almost there! I'm almost there!"
Sonic saw that his car was now getting behind his friends' own and he was no longer able to catch up with hers. "Oh no way you're actually gonna beat me." He admitted but rather in acceptance instead of disappointment.
In just less than 30 seconds Miku still took the lead and right as that gap between her and the finish line had finally closed she had found herself passing through it and she had won 1st place followed by her male blue Humanoids' 2nd place trailing in.
Sonic surrendered to the loss. "Daww."
"Yeah!" Miku victoriously shouted as she raised her hands up in cheer after letting go of her wheel controller.
After the teen girl had won her match against her partner in that racing game they then went for one of the fighting game machines dealing with another one vs one play for the both of them.
Because it was a one game arcade system there were two sets of controls in the form of one toggle stick and four circular buttons padded on each side; Miku had taken the left side which hers was colored red while Sonic took the right with his colored green.
The girl Vocaloid chose a character that looked like she was designed as a traditional Japanese temple priestess with white top Keikogi and red leggings and for some reason was using a katana to fight while her opposing friend went with a strong and muscular guy wearing a yellow battle-worn karate style gi. Mikus' battle priestess character up at the top of the screen just next to their green colored health bars was named Keiko while Sonics martial arts brawler was named Roku.
Miku was amazed by Sonics better performance in this game this time. "Wow Sonic you're a real challenge here." She complimented.
Sonic admitted. "Eh, I always liked fighting games more than racing anyway. I mean why bother with any kind of racing that doesn't involve me going out there. I don't use machines, I fight them with my own two feet; literally."
As Sonics character Roku had only sustained 60 percent of his health remaining and was still going strong and continuously bombarding Mikus Keiko with combos of both punches and kicks to which Keiko was trapped in and unable to respond it would seem her health bar was dropping less than 40 percent at a disadvantage.
"And here it goes." Sonic smiled in accomplishment as he saw the finish.
Right as the superior player blue guy had put his opponent down to 10 percent he didn't want to make a simple win with a basic weak punch but rather a special way of making an unforgettable climax. Sonic with his skillful fingertips had moved the joystick around and pressed each both the strong punch and strong kick button in an unusual style set.
"Super Ken Kaigo!" Sonic shouted clearly familiar with the move he had just done.
Just after Keiko was cornered Roku stopped his attack and then posed right infront of the game screen standing and seemingly facing the players.
"Super Ken Kaigo!" Roku in the game shouted then raised his hand straight up in the air. As his palm was reaching the heavens the screen in just a blink of an eye flashed dark before returning to clear light again but as it did a powerful form of astonishing marine blue energy gathered all into Roku's hand and as he grabbed it he had returned into his original fighting pose before throwing a large same colored energy ball all of a sudden at Keiko. This was clearly a mega move meant to deliver heavy damage.
Right when Keiko was hit by the killer super ball of blue energy her health was completely dropped to zero and the screen exploded in the background upon Keikos defeat reading "Roku Wins!".
"Yeah!" Sonic shouted victoriously.
"Well you win this one." Miku admitted not too disappointed in her loss.
Since the day was still ongoing both Miku and Sonic still had more than enough time to kill. After competing over the video game styled amusement they decided on something that didn't require a gameplay screen and that was the Bong a Bunny machine; this one was a similar model to the famous Wack A Mole one which pretty much what it was, of course the most notable difference was that instead of moles coming off the ground it was instead rabbits.
Sonic would take the left side this time with a green hammer while Miku took the right with a red one. There were a total of 16 holes in the entire set up with 8 placed for each player. Just as the two were ready the ringing had sounded off with a large bell like design echoing from the speakers and after it did various fake rabbits heads were popping out of the holes of the desk like design and gave a mocking like gesture to either of the teens ready to hit them as fast as they could and make the highest score.
Sonic would take the lead once again and because he couldn't help but give into his cocky attitude he kept his right hand inside of his pocket and used his free opposite one to effortlessly hit each bunny at the top of their heads every time they popped up. As with Miku well she wasn't as fast or as accurate as he was.
"Oh come on!" Miku frustratingly tried to improve on her strikes with her small hammer but she was only able to hit some meanwhile missing just as much.
Sonic turned his face towards her as he smiled and attempted a fake cheer which actually was a means more to throw her off while making fun of her efforts.
"You can do it Miku, I believe in you." He laughed.
Miku had taken the bait. "Just because you got better reflexes doesn't mean I can't catch up!"
"You're dealing with a guy that's been through countless of battles. Can't expect hitting a bunch of toy bunnies with precision to be that challenging now can you." Sonic smirked like a jerk.
Remaining true to his words he continued putting his emerald green Human eyes directly at Miku while still having his right gloved hand within his jackets pocket and his hammering left hand 100 percent hitting any target that would come out of the holes swiftly.
Wanting to still prove herself Miku desperately sweated as she was giving as much of her skill in this game as possible despite still missing the puppet like hares and falling behind from her opposing friend.
"Erh! I'm not gonna give up that easy." She went relentless and with a sudden amount of energy she burst her slamming faster than before.
Not playing around anymore she got more serious and let her instincts kick in and allowed her eyesight to zoom across the platform and set whatever furry critter was instantly appearing not wasting a second.
Thanks to more precision she was able to hit more of the long eared mammals and score a greater amount of points in shorter time thus proving her worth a challenge.
After the bell had rung signifying the finish of the game Miku was left abit tired from expending so much of her effort trying harder.
"Wow, that was fun." Miku exhaled after she finally got to stop while still holding the hammer.
"Good job Miku." Sonic initially praised.
"Too bad I am still way ahead." He quickly informed rather abit harshly then pointed at the scoreboard.
Surrendering to his point Miku looked at her 800 points she had totaled which was impressive for her try however when comparing to her friends lead he had ended with to 2400 points; 3 times her own.
Wanting to go against him in another match she challenged him for a fourth try on another type of game.
Miku expressed her cocky attitude." Alright hedgehog boy how about we see how you are on something else."
Losing twice against her starting victory of the day both Sonic and her agreed to try another type of machine to compete with. This next one didn't require much thought or technological skill reliant on hand eye coordination; just pure talent based on getting down the flow of how you play it.
The Skee Ball deck was designed to not only be amusing but to also let players try to coordinate their style of playing in order to get it down and line up their way of scoring their own points.
"Yes." Miku calmly and easily won her scores as she rolled her Kkee ball easily hitting into the plastic white 50 point round hole effortlessly.
"Wow what a start." Sonic was impressed by her making it in the highest point on the first try while still holding his tan colored plastic design spherical object.
She then turned to him still trying to rival him for this one. "Well let's see what you've got."
Thinking that this was simple Sonic merely did the same as she did and let his ball roll into the solid and smooth plain lane.
Once the hand sized play orb was released it had made it's way towards and up into the slanted designed ramp where it would launch airborne and as Sonic allowed it he had hoped he would get into the 50 point hole he aimed for. While he had proven to have a good hand and making his ball nearly match the same area of landing where he had intended it unfortunately couldn't make it through as it hit the plastic side and bounced off as opposed to inside where the hole was; the worst part about missing the highest score in Skee Ball is that if you aim at the highest and don't make it you will instead get the lowest 10 point score hole in which the 40,30, or 20 points are displayed within a large plastic circle that will force your ball downward. This type of challenge was designed to tempt players at wanting better points.
"What. 10?" Sonic said in light dismay.
Miku joked. "What you've never played Skee Ball before."
Sonic reluctantly imparted. "Not really this is my first time. I mean I've seen people play these but I've never actually tried this myself."
"You know something Sonic, this is my first time as well." Miku proclaimed.
Without any more struggle and a joyfully victorious attitude the disguised girl pitched and in just 3 times in a row and in under half a minute easily and quickly did her same rolls in the game and all times for each of her scoring her ball went straight into the 50 point hole like nothing.
"Seriously? You've never played this before?" Sonic perplexed her natural knack.
In quite a turn of events Sonic was unable to make anything more than several unsuccessful 10 point earnings as he kept on trying to see how to make the same 50 point row Miku had done but all of his attempts failed letting Miku win this time.
To be continued...
