"Are you sure this is a good idea? We know nothing about this girl. Let alone what she's capable of. This may be one of your strays that can't be rehabilitated." Wonder Woman said, sitting back in her chair and crossing her legs.

"She's young, she's scared, and more importantly she doesn't have anywhere else to go. At least at the cave she'll be with kids her own age. And she'll be in a safe environment to…"

"Not destroy anything." Green Arrow offered to his dark masked friend.

Batman sighed.

"When I got the call about her they had found her in her front yard in the middle of a panic attack," He said, leaning on the table in front of him. Remembering when they had found the girl. "Suffice to say it wasn't pretty."

"How bad could it have been, she was having a panic attack Bruce. Not something we typically handle." Diana said.

"Her house was cinder and ash, Diana; her parents were inside when it caught fire. A fire that she caused." Oliver said leaning forward.

Diana's eyes widened.

"She's a meta?" She asked.

"That's the only thing that makes sense. Right now she's being kept at a facility in Gotham but she needs to be somewhere where she's understood and I fear the cave is only place where that will happen." Oliver said.

Diana looked to Dinah who up until this point had remained silent.

"How do you know she didn't mean to do what she did?" Dinah asked.

"Because she was scared Dinah, terrified. She didn't know what was happening to her. I mean, we rehabilitated Conner and he was genetically coded to be a weapon. This girl is just a scared kid who needs some direction." Bruce said.

Dinah cocked a brow.

"What's this girl's name?" She asked.

Bruce couldn't help the small smirk that itched at the corner of his mouth.

"I think Robin is going to like this."

"Team briefing in the training room."

Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, and Batman all stood waiting in the training room as the team assembled around them. Aqualad, Robin, Superboy, Kid Flash, Miss Martian, Superboy, Artemis, and Zatana all filed into the main part of the cave and looked at the three mentors.

"Do we have a mission?" Aqualad asked.

"No, but we do have to talk to you all about something," Batman said. "Robin, do you remember that fire that I was called away to last week?"

"The one you wouldn't let me come to? Yeah." Robin said, a part of him tensing.

Kid Flash looked over to his teammate and friend. What made Robin so skeptical?

"Well, there was a reason I didn't let you come. The call wasn't really about the fire but about the girl who survived the fire." Batman said, gesturing to the zeta tube as it lit up.

Black Canary and a girl who looked like she'd been through hell walked through.

"Everybody this is Aster, and she's going to be staying with you for a while." Black Canary said.
