Corso was dead tired. He felt himself getting older. Talking with Sonny helped, though.

Still, he wanted a shower and a change of clothes, but first, he needed to check on Micro Ice. He found him in the galley of the ship, where Stevens had made him something to eat. Micro Ice was awfully silent and ate slowly. As Corso entered, he could see fear in the young Snow Kid's eyes. No surprise, he went through a lot. Sonny would need to adjust his plans to make sure the boy was safe. The ship they identified was highly advanced. Better safe than sorry. They needed to be careful.

There was also still the issue with the Resonance. That still didn't have an answer. It led to even stricter Flux regulations and more education about it. This complicated matter for the Pirates, who now had their own Flux once more. Corso took a glass of water and sat down to have a drink with Micro Ice. He noticed the kid was shaking. He was also quiet. Corso sighed. He was bad at things like this.

"Are you feeling alright?" He asked carefully. Micro Ice looked at the bowl of soup that he was eating.

"I guess. I'm not going back to Akillian, right?" he asked as he looked up. "I just hope mom is okay." Corso felt sorry for him, but he knew he had to be honest with the kid.

"Doesn't look like it. That's the first place they'd look. Don't worry, we'll make sure your mother is safe. For now, looks like you're part of the crew." Corso said. Micro Ice grimaced.

"Guess it's back to doing dishes." He said. Corso grinned.

"Just finish your meal and come with me to get some shuteye. D'jok and Sonny will be waiting on Genesis." He said. Micro Ice nodded silently, then finished his meal.

As soon as they arrived at the cabin, Corso took one of the old sleeping devices from the drawer in the nightstand and strapped it around Micro Ices arm.

"This might help you get some sleep." Corso said. Micro Ice just nodded quietly.

'It feels stranger that Sonny isn't here. He's always on board." He said. Corso nodded.

"It's still his home. Though nowadays I'm the Captain." He smiled.

"Still kinda weird you two got married." He said. "Though I guess not too surprising." Corso started to blush a bit.

"I guess you don't know us as well as you figured." Corso said as he got to his bed. "Let's just sleep."

It took Micro Ice a bit longer, still reeling for what happened, but he soon fell asleep as well.

Brim Balarius couldn't help but be relieved when he heard Micro Ice was rescued. The young man did not need to be involved with his Masters. Even he didn't know everything. Akillian was just a small part. He needed to contact a woman named Raven. He knew little about her, just that she was a spy for the Pirates, working as a secretary for a small company. She could help with his predicament. Maybe get him out…

He encrypted the information he had and sent it to his handlers. As soon as it was done, he carefully tried to contact Raven.

D'Jok was waiting with Sonny when the Black Manta arrived at Genesis. He was nervous. He knew some details, but not the entire picture. He hoped Micro Ice would be able to fill in the blanks for them. As soon as the loading ramp opened, Corso and Micro Ice exited. D'Jok was shocked at how his best friend looked. The dull look in his eyes frightened him. Sonny noticed too. He looked to Corso, who just nodded. The young man was in shock at what happened. D'Jok embraced Micro Ice as he reached him.

"I'm so glad you're okay." He managed. Micro Ice hardly reacted. This worried everyone.

"How long has he acted like this?" Sonny asked, sounding concerned.

"Since I helped him escape. I think it's shock but I'm not sure." Corso said. Sonny nodded thoughtfully.

"Let's keep an eye on him." Sonny said. "He's coming home with us. Corso frowned at the idea, but conceded.

"I suppose. You think he'll be alright?" He asked. Sonny nodded. They just had to be careful.

"For now, Let's talk to Dame Simbai. I'm sure she can help with trauma." He nodded.

"I'll call her right away"

Dame Simbai looked at them after she examined Micro Ice, who was still rather emotionless.

"He has been traumatized by the situation. I suggest you go very easy on him. Keep him safe and most of all, be supportive." She said. "Don't try to force him to relive the events." Sonny nodded.

"We need to know what happened, though." Sonny said. Dame Simbai sighed.

"For now, be careful. Don't pressure him, it may make things worse." She suggested. Sonny nodded.

"I'll try my best."

Raven threw her long black hair over her shoulder as she entered her workplace. She also fixed her glasses. She didn't need them, they were mostly to make her appear less threatening than she really was. Such was the life of a spy.

As she sat down behind her desk and turned on her computer, she noticed she received a message. It couldn't be Sonny, her main employee. Nor The Pirates Council of Elders. Maybe it was one of her informants? Having been a spy for the pirates as long as she had, she had quite a few.

She carefully opened it, seeing the sender as 'The shadow behind the throne'. It was a new name for her. She read the mail and gasped. Sonny had to know this.

Micro Ice watched as Callie prepared the guest room for him. He wanted to help but his mind kept going back to his abduction. That fear just wouldn't leave him. He went to the main living room and put on the Television to distract himself as Corso joined him on the couch.

"Listen, to make sure you're safe, we've established some rules." He said as Sonny and D'jok joined them. Sonny nodded and sat down next to the young man as D'Jok sat on his other side.

"You can stay here as long as you need to. We don't know who abducted you but we're working on it. For now, it is important you stay hidden. No one can know you're here, and you have to stay inside. We'll try to identify who did this. Mei's home, she can relay a message if you want to. Only a few people know you're here." Sonny said in a serious voice. Micro Ice only nodded. It pained D'Jok to see his friend like this. It also pissed him off. He was going to get whoever did this to him…

"We will figure it out Mice. I got you." He said.

"I'll try." Micro Ice managed. Sonny nodded to Corso as the three of them headed out, D'jok gently squeezing Micro Ice's shoulder as he left. As they left him alone Micro Ice laid down on the couch, trying to get some sleep.

In their office, Sonny shared the information he had with Corso and D'jok.

"Corso, get me a list of recent shipments made from Abraxor." Sonny said. Corso looked at him.

"Abraxor? Are you kidding me?" He asked.

"I wish I was. Seems like it's connected. A certain family in particular." Sonny said, gritting his teeth. Corso just sighed. He really hoped this didn't bring on bad memories. Corso accessed his military codes and started his search. This was going to take a while. D'Jok looked at his father.

"What do you want me to look for?" He asked. Sonny looked at his son.

"Micro Ice's delivery route on Akillian. I need to know where his shipments of Mice Delight were delivered since he switched suppliers. The Abraxians aren't dumb. You're a great code cracker already, so I'm sure you'll do fine. I know it sounds boring, but it's also part of the job. We'll find out what Micro Ice is afraid to tell us. We have to know." Sonny explained. D'Jok nodded and took a seat next to Corso to start working. Sonny was about to do the same, when he received a call. He ended it after a few minutes.

"Keep doing what you're doing. I have to meet with one of our secret agents. She has some important information." He said. Corso nodded.

"Go. We got this covered." He said. Sonny nodded as he left to meet with Raven.

Perfect. All the deliveries were placed and his cyborg army was getting prepared.

It was a wise idea to make this deal with the Abraxians. This would lead the Pirates on the wrong trail and off his back. He still didn't know who the mole was, but it wouldn't matter. This was a plan decades in the making. And knowing how Sonny and D'jok, two Flux Masters were acting, things would be even easier. If he could capture Sonny to have D'jok do his bidding would be perfect.

The old Abraxian sighed as he remembered his own son. He had hid in Technoid, a company that had a bad influence on how he saw his world and heritage. Though in the end, Bleylock was a chip off the old block.

Going back to his current plans, Sonny Blackbones was a danger to them. If he examined the test tubes Micro Ice had, he would find the Flux mixes containing Abraxor's Flux.

That flux was banned completely. No one on the planet could access it, until now. With the resonance Magnus Blade had caused, the Galaxy's defense was in a weakened state. The Flux Society was desperately trying to prevent it to no avail. He had Grandmaster Brim Balarius under his heel. He could influence the very laws of the Flux Society. And there was no one who could stop him.

A/N: Are the Abraxians really out for blood, or is it just an unfortunate streak of bad luck that so many from this planet want to control and rule the Zaelion galaxy?

I got the idea for the Resonance during Season 3. I know the season was unpopular, but I believe there were some good ideas there. Unfortunately, this is where the show ended, even if the ending hinted at a continuation. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it's going to be continued, so it's up to us fans to fill in the blanks. I might not be the best writer, but I'll try to make something of it. Tying up loose ends, and eventually achieve The Pirates and Sonny Blackbones' overall goal; peace and their freedom.

Once again, thank you Paranoidgirl, for beta-ing the story and making helpful suggestions.
