I want to give a shout out to Nono89 for the review. And I am absolutely delighted about your offer to translate my stories about the pirates, whom has to be the most awesome people in the galaxy, for the french audience to read. I am actually thinking of a pirates chronicles 3 as well, but this story will be finished first. at this point, my just superfantastic beta reader Paranoid girl and I are trying our best to bring life to this fandom with our stories. Maybe the world forgot about Galactik football and the charracters, but we didnt. Just because the show stopped, does not mean the stories did. If you want to help out with this, as I sadly dont speak or write french, I would be absolutely delighted to publish this story in french with you as a translator. send me a pm if you want to discuss matters further. This very story, even if only this is chapter 6, know, that at this point, I have just finished chapter 25. They are a bit shorter, so the story will be longer, but trust me, the excitement is not dropping, all I will hint about is, the nasty resonance that occurred in season 3, will be solved, with help from a very unexpected place.
Zoëline was a girl from a planet close to Paradisia. She was also Micro Ice's girlfriend. They've been going steady for a while now, even if her father disapproved. She was currently out walking to meet with Mei. She hadn't heard from Micro Ice for days, and she was starting to get worried. She even called Mom Ice, who just sounded very evasive. All she could say was that Micro Ice got mixed up in something and couldn't see anyone for a while. This worried Zoëline. She hoped Mei possibly knew something. She worked with the Pirates sometimes. Zoëline looked at her transmitter again. Mei had sent a message with an address to meet. Tia's restaurant. Made sense. Zoëline entered the restaurant.
It was light with warm, inviting colors. Pictures of the Snow Kids, their football posters, and models adorned the place. Tia herself was behind the bar today. She smiled as she looked up and noticed Zoëline.
"Zoëline! It's so good to see you." Tia greeted her. Zoëline couldn't help but feel skeptical. Tia usually didn't act like this. Something was up.
"Mei wanted to meet me here. Is she around?" Zoëline asked.
"She's stuck in traffic, but she will be here shortly." Tia explained. Zoëline nodded as she took a seat in the private room Tia had prepared. Tia fixed her a snack and some drinks. She noticed Zoëline looked worried and hoped Mei could cheer her up. Tia's thoughts were interrupted by Mei entering.
"Sorry, traffic was horrible. Is Zoëline here yet?" She asked.
"She is. She looks nervous. I can't really blame her, considering what happened." Tia admitted. Mei nodded.
"Me neither. Sonny gave me a message for her." Mei said. Zoëline looked up from viewing the pictures she had of herself and Micro Ice on her transmitter when Mei walked into the room, followed by Tia.
"Sonny sent me. I got a message about Micro Ice. He's safe, but in hiding. He got mixed up in something serious but he's getting all the help he needs. Unfortunately, I can't tell you where he's staying." She said, taking Zoëlines hands, who just looked more worried.
"Tell me about Micro Ice, please." She asked.
Sonny looked at the crests on the tubes. They had to be the answer as to who was following in Bleylock's footsteps. It wasn't his son. He was too blinded by hatred. Lied to and manipulated by his own father.
Sonny opened a drawer in his desk and pulled out an item.
The Abraxor dagger. Once a sign of honor. It was old and worn now, though the family crest still stood out. As did the Pirates Emblem. Sonny pulled out a microscope, enlarged the emblems and took a picture of them. He needed someone that knew more about these families. He remembered Bleylock talking about a weapon meant to protect his planet. However, just one family wasn't enough to activate it. This was attempted in the past and resulted in their Flux getting banned from all use. All families with access to the weapon carried a key to it. All keys needed to be used to unlock it. And by now, he had an emblem of each family.
The Bleylocks had taken all the other families' territory and power but Sonny never quite liked that story. He also considered what Raven had told him about another foe. Brim Balarius. This was unexpected. He had to tie everything together and think of something to stop him. He gave Aaron Walters, Callie's boss, a call.
"It's Sonny. I need to speak to The Pirates Council of Elders".
At a moon outpost, a man of Unadarian descent looked at some reports.
These lost Flux samples could lead to a full investigation into this operation. How did the kid even escape? Well, the damage was done. And the kid vanished. The samples had to be recovered, and the kid silenced. The Flux Society couldn't know of this. If Brim Balarius knew, he would shut it down. He couldn't let that happen. He still needed the final key, The Erwholer Family Key. That family was wiped out. There were rumors of a survivor. That person could torpedo his plan as well.
At least he had time on his side. All he really needed to hold the entire galaxy at his mercy, was the power of a fully developed Flux Master.
At the Blackbones home, D'Jok decided to ask his father about Micro Ice. It had been months already and Micro Ice was still there. He could tell from looking at his friend, that he missed hanging out with his friends. That said, he had opened up again after the initial shock. That was a good sign. He looked over at his friend, who was very intently playing their Soccer game.
"Got ya! Sorry D'Jok, your winning days are over." Micro Ice cheered, a rarity these days. D'Jok decided to use this to his advantage. D'Jok went to see if his father was home.
"Later, D'Jok." Micro Ice said as he left for his office. Sonny and Corso were there, too.
"D'Jok! Getting ready to head home?" Sonny asked as he saw his son enter. D'Jok smiled.
"He's slowly getting out of it. He's even cracking jokes again. That said, I think I know something that might help him, if that's alright with you?" He said. Corso and Sonny exchanged confused looks.
"Lets hear it." Sonny said. D'Jok nodded, and quickly explained his plan; a surprise party. Sonny rubbed his chin.
"Do we have eyes on the ones that held him captive on Akillian?" He asked, looking at Corso. Corso nodded.
"Night and day Sonny. Doesn't look like they're actively looking for him. Kid could use a break." Corso said. Sonny agreed. He also figured this might lure them out.
"You can do this, under one condition." He said. D'Jok felt excited. This would help his friend.
"What condition?" He asked. Corso and Sonny just smiled at each other.
Finally, he was allowed outside the house. Micro Ice was going to make the most of it. He had a curfew and a panic button on his wrist. Even with D'Jok around, he had to be careful. They decided on something safe for this first meet up. This was a test run for the surprise party. First, they met with Rocket, then they ate at Tia's place and met up with Zoëline. It felt a bit weird, since they couldn't be alone. D'Jok was present everywhere. Micro Ice didn't mind too much. He knew he had to from Sonny. And they were friends. Micro Ice loved spending time with D'jok. Unfortunately, Zoëline couldn't go home with them. Later, Micro Ice pushed for more meetings with Zoëline. D'Jok agreed.
This was the surprise party; a bowling match. All the Snow Kids joined the party. Micro Ice was up next with bowling. He was aiming for a strike. He looked over at his friends. Most of them weren't paying attention. He looked over at D'Jok who sat next to Rocket. And it was his job to pay attention, per Sonnys orders. Micro Ice threw his strike. Still no reaction. D'Jok continued his conversation with Rocket. Micro Ice looked at Zoëline. There was a flower shop at the other side of the street. He was going to surprise her.
"Don't tell D'Jok, I don't need a babysitter to go to the bathroom." Micro Ice smiled sheepishly. Zoëline nodded with a wink. With that, Micro Ice snuck off for the flowers. He snuck over to the flower shop. He hesitated. Was this really a good idea? Maybe he should have asked Rocket for the flowers… Micro Ice had entered the shop, and was looking at some flowers when he spotted the store's security camera. A figure, who looked a lot like the Xenon who caught him on Akillian, was approaching the store. Because of course.
At the bowling alley, everyone was waiting for Micro Ice to return from what they assumed was a bathroom break. D'Jok wasn't too worried at first. He was in the bathroom, what harm could that do? D'Jok was about to call Micro Ice when an incoming came in. It was Sonny.
"What's going on there? Micro Ice's Panic button went off five minutes ago. Where is he?!" Sonny said. D'Jok was kicking himself internally. How could he have lost sight of his friend like that? The rest of the Snow Kids all listened into the conversation. Rocket took D'Jok's phone.
"Don't worry Sonny, we'll help find him." He said. Sonny nodded.
"We got extra signal trackers with us. Two in each car. There are reinforcements underway." He said. The Snow Kids immediately got out and waited for Sonny and Corso to arrive.
"Lets go find Micro Ice."Rocket commanded his team mates.
A/N: Cliffhanger! How will they be getting out of this one? And what kind of information are the Pirates sitting on?
Thank you Paranoidgirl for helping me with the story.
