Quiet...for the first time in the long history of the Loud house everything was quiet? The neighbors especially the next door neighbor Mr Grouse found this extremely suspicious as the family was victorious for living up to their name and always causing so much noise with their various activities. But for the first time in ages the house was completely quiet as not even the drop of a dime could be heard?

Many of the neighbors were curious to see if something was going on. But after confirming that there is no smell of rotting bodies, no confirmed calls to the police, and no signs of an ambulance anywhere in sight or signs of the fire department they just chalk ed it off to that the Loud family was either not at home or there was something going on in the house that made them go all quiet.

Either way the neighbors decided to enjoy the moment of quiet as they knew sooner or later the family will live up to their namesake so it was the best to enjoy the moment while it lasted.

Meanwhile in the Loud house's living room everyone who was a member of the loud family was gathered near the couch watching a much older Lincoln with a board expression on his face looking out the window like he was waiting for one of them to say something.

Rita meanwhile was extremely concerned for two reasons. One was that her baby boy had come back from another world being much older, about nineteen years old by Lisa's best guess. The second thing she was worried about was the scars on Lincoln's body.

She and the others were extremely concerned about the scars. Lincoln had a scar under his left eye that was clearly the work of a blade as Lucy easily recognized the scars made by a blade thanks to her massive amount of time doing research on dead bodies and the various ways people can die...

But the Loud family the more concerning injury was the one on Lincoln's chest. There in an x-shaped pattern was a massive scar that look like it was the results of extreme heat and based on the x like shape it was clear that someone gave Lincoln that scar.

'Who has done this to my baby boy?!' thought Rita who was angry she couldn't have been there to stop whoever gave Lincoln that scar!

"So... it's been a while huh?"Lincoln said nonchalantly as he was trying to pick something out of his teeth.

"It's been a while? Is that all you have to say to us?!"said Lori who was slightly offended by how nonchalant Lincoln was being about the whole situation.

"What? I'm glad to see you all"said Lincoln in his defense although he was still being nonchalant which made some of his more temperamental sisters upset.

"Don't you want to say anything else to us?!"asked Lola as Lincoln began to ponder.

"I'm glad all of you are healthy."eaid Lincoln causing many of his family members to fall to the floor as they couldn't believe how blunt he was being.

"Lincoln we were so worried that something bad happened to you and that's all you have to say."said Leni who looks like she was close to tears.

"What? All I know is that after that bolt of lightning struck Lisa's watch, I somehow ended up in another world where I found out that's where you were from originally Pop Pop."said Lincoln wondering why his family seem to be so overdramatic.

"Hmm... it appears that his personality has been affected by going through the portal without the special full body polymer suits. To be frank it appears that things that normally would have bothered him or caused them extreme distress no longer affect him in such regards."said Lisa who knew that the old Lincoln would have never been so nonchalant about this situation.

"Lincoln how on Earth did you survive as that ocean is hospitable?"wondered Albert as he knew there was no way a little kid could survive in the Grand Line without some kind of help.

"I didn't end up on the Grand Line, I ended up in the East Blue. I ran into grand uncle Garp who fished me out of the ocean."said Lincoln as Albert couldn't believe what Lincoln said when he mentioned his brother's name.

"Garp is still alive?!"Albert asked with joy.

"Yeah. He is actually a big deal over there as he's considered the Hero of the Marines and he earned the nickname Garp the Fist."said Lincoln as Albert let out a sigh of relief knowing that his brother did indeed survive the battle with the Rocks Pirates.

"Yeah he took me to Foosha village after recognizing that I was your grandson."said Lincoln as everyone looked at him with confusion.

"How did he recognize you as his grand nephew if he has never met you before?"asked pretty much everyone in the room.

Lincoln just pointed to his signature white hair before everyone let out a gasp saying that they understood as for the longest time Lincoln's hairstyle did match their grandfather's.

"Anyway after that he wanted me to join the Marines and that's when he started my training."said Lincoln as some cold sweat fell down his face as he still has nightmares about that "training."

"What kind of training?"Lynn asked as she was curious.

"Lets see... he threw me into a ravine and told me to climb out with nothing but my two hands and my two feet. He left me alone in the middle of the jungle at night and told me the fend for myself. And then there was the time he tied a bunch of balloons onto my body and let me fly into the sky and told me I dad to figure out my own way to get home..."said Lincoln as he listed off the first things that came to his head.

"What?! Just what kind of person does that to an eleven year old?!"said Lynn Sr who wondered if his father-in-law's brother was even sane.

"That sounds like the pretty standard stuff we had to go through when we were kids."said Albert shocking his family as he wondered how he was still alive after that kind of training?

"Anyway I refused as I wanted to be a pirate."said Lincoln's shocking his family.

"Lincoln Marie Loud!"said his parents with anger and shock.

"I actually changed it to Monkey D Lincoln."corrected Lincoln not noticing his parent's anger.

"Bro how could you think about becoming a pirate?!"asked Luna as pirates were nothing more than bandits and murderers of the seas.

"Yeah pirates do nothing but lie, steal, and pillage!"said Lori, who found Lincoln's ambition to be a pirate insane.

"Not all pirates are like that."said Lincoln bluntly.

"Yes they are!"said the twins in unison.

"Maybe this world's pirates were like that but back in my old world Lincoln is actually telling the truth. I actually knew several good-hearted Pirates who protected the weak and innocent... although we were enemies I never actually hated them."said Albert as he remembered a certain curly mustache pirate who helped them out in that incident with the Rocks Pirates.

"Yeah and besides I wanted to be a pirate ever since Shanks saved my life."said Lincoln as he took off his straw hat and looked at it with a smile.

"Who is Shanks?"asked Luan as Lincoln looked at her with a smile.

"He's the guy who inspired my dream and saved my life. He even gave me his precious straw hat which I promised to return to him when we meet again."

"He saved your life?"asked Lana.

"Yeah a sea king, or a giant sea serpent nearly ate me after some bandit threw me into the ocean. Shanks sacrificed his left arm to save my life and since then I have been eternally grateful."said Lincoln as his family looked at him with shock.

A pirate sacrificed his left arm to save their son/brother. That would certainly explain how Lincoln viewed pirates with such a good light.

"But you haven't become a pirate yet? So I'm sure after some "talking" we can get your head on straight."said Lori as Lincoln placed his hat back on his head.

"I'm already a pirate."said Lincoln as his family did a double take on what he said.

"WHAT?!"said pretty much everyone else minus Lily for obvious reasons.

"I'm actually the captain of my own crew of pirates who are known far and wide as the Strawhat Pirates. I am the wanted rookie pirate known as Strawhat Lincoln!"said Lincoln with a smile as he began chuckling as he couldn't help but brag about his status as an infamous pirate.

"Lincoln!"said Lori with shock as she couldn't believe Lincoln was a wanted criminal who treated his status as a criminal so nonchalantly.

"Why on Earth would you do that?"asked Luan who thought that her brother was out of his mind.

"Because I never wanted to become a Marine. My dream is to find the legendary treasure One Piece and become King of the Pirates like Gold Roger."said Lincoln with no hesitation as Albert did a double take on the name.

"Roger?! He became King of the Pirates?!"asked Albert who knew his brother's arch nemesis all too well.

He was there many of those times Roger and Garp tried to kill each other after all.

"Yeah! Gold Roger conquered the Grand Line with his crew by being the only people to have ever reached the final Island on the Grand Line Laughter! He found that island and named it Laughter! Not long after that he turned himself into the Marines's custody as he was dying from an incurable disease and on the day of his execution he started the Golden age of piracy by announcing to the world that if anyone wanted his treasure the One Piece, that they could have it all they had to do was find it! Since then countless pirates have set sail to the Grand Line in search of Gold Roger's legendary treasure.

Albert couldn't believe what he was hearing. Roger, the pirate who matched his brother in strength actually turned himself in to be executed. He what kind of understood when Lincoln said that he had an incurable disease that was slowly killing him but still, it was hard to believe! A small tear actually fell down from his eye as although Roger was a pirate and his enemy, he had always respected him for his strength and charisma as Roger could bring anyone to his side.

'I guess we'll never see each other again until the afterlife Roger.' thought Albert who decided to do a small toast for the great, late Pirate King in his private time.

Lola on the other hand heard about treasure and she couldn't help but drool in the mouth as if this guy was called the Pirate King she could only imagine how much money and treasure he gathered up before his death.

"So where is the One Piece?"asked Lola whose greed was overriding any common sense.

"No one really knows but pretty much everyone agrees that it has to be on Laughter."said Lincoln as that was the most obvious spot to put it since it was next to impossible to find Laughter without the proper know how.

"Lincoln why would you willingly become a criminal?! Being a pirate is absolutely dangerous why would you do such a reckless thing?!"asked Lynn Sr as he thought his son was out of his mind for willingly becoming a pirate.

"Lincoln you are forbidden from becoming the King of the Pirates! Do you hear me!"said Rita as Lincoln looked at them with a serious look.

"No."he said calmly much to the shock of his family.

"What?!"said both parents at the same time.

"It's probably too late to become an honest citizen and even then if there was a way I wouldn't do it in a million years. I want to be the next King of the Pirates and nothing is going to stop me."

"Lincoln just what does a pirate mean to you?"said Lori hoping to talk some sense into her brother.

"Oh that's easy freedom!"said Lincoln shocking his family as they didn't expect him to answer so quickly. They also didn't expect the answer he gave them.

"What?!"said Lisa as even she was confused.

"To me being a pirate means freedom. I can do whatever I want, whenever I want and being the Pirate King means being the most free man in the world! The oceans will be mine to command and I can live freely on those oceans without a care in the world!"said Lincoln with a smile as he stood up and crossed his hands over his chest to show his determination.

No one had anything to say to that. They could tell that based on the expression on his face Lincoln honestly believes that. He honestly believes being the Pirate king would make him the most free man in the world and it was clear that Lincoln valued his freedom above all else!

Albert remembered that Roger had a similar mind set as he remembered asking him one day if he planned to conquer anything during one of their many battles with the Roger Pirates!

'Roger said without a moment of hesitation that he didn't want to conquer anything. He just wanted to live free with his friends and live like how he wanted to, nothing else.' thought Albert as he could see Roger's will somehow came into Lincoln's possession.

"Besides I absolutely refuse to serve the World government!"said Lincoln who hated the World Government.

Albert immediately knew Lincoln meant by that as it didn't take him long to understand what Lincoln meant... the Celestial Dragons!

Albert absolutely despised the Celestial Dragons, World Nobles who are exempt from all laws and could do whatever they wanted, even murder without so much as any form of consequence. He hated how they would wear specially made suits that allowed him to breathe special filtered air so they wouldn't have to breathe the air of the "commoners"

Albert hated the Celestial Dragons with every last fiber of his being as he couldn't understand how a bunch of rich scumbags who do nothing but invest in their own vices could command the World Government! That is one of the reasons why his brother always refused to be promoted to Admiral as Garp hated the Celestial Dragons as well and he knew that becoming an Admiral would mean he would become a direct subordinate to them!

There was no way his honorable brother would do that and that is why he refused his promotion every time!

Rita was about to say something when Albert stopped her.

"Honey even though I served that World Government I can tell you with honesty that it had many problems and I can understand why Lincoln would not want to be a part of them. Trust me when I tell you that sometimes the worst criminals are the ones shielded by the law."said Albert with a serious expression on his face as he had a feeling at some point in time Lincoln had to run in with the Celestial Dragons and that's why he hates the World Government, the organization that protects those scumbags!

Rita looked at her father with a confused look as she could tell he was serious but he was being too vague. She guessed that since she didn't live in that world she wouldn't be able to understand what her father meant.

"Only people who have first-hand seen the darkness of that world can truly understand what Lincoln is saying. We have no right to judge him for his choices in life if we don't understand what made him choose those choices in the first place."said Albert as the rest of the family couldn't argue with him as he had a point.

Maybe there was a reason Lincoln had to become a pirate? Maybe there was more to the story than Lincoln was letting on but he didn't feel comfortable telling them? They didn't know what he experienced in that other world so their grandfather/father/father-in-law had a point when he said that they had no right to judge Lincoln.

"So... are you still mad at us?"asked Leni as that question has been plaguing her ever since Lincoln first arrived.

"No... I got over that a long time ago. We all make mistakes and trust me when I say that I have made a lot of mistakes during my pirate career so there's no reason to get mad at you guys for something that you only did because you're only human."said Lincoln as his family let out a sigh of relief upon hearing that as they felt like a massive weight has been removed from their shoulders.

"So when you guys plan to send me back?"Lincoln said getting his family's attention.

"Back where?"asked Lola as Lincoln cocked his head.

"To the Grand Line as my crew is probably wondering where I am?"said Lincoln to which his family had only one response.

"WHAT?!"
