Corso woke up in the middle of the pitch. He coughed, as he staggered to his feet.
"What happened? I didn't know you had two Fluxes" Tia said, helping him to a bench.
"Neither did I. It has been so long since I used Gaia, I thought The seed of Shiloh replaced it completely." Corso managed, as Warren handed him a bottle of water.
"I'm sorry to say, but I don't know how to train someone with two Fluxes. I'll contact Dame Simbai and see if she knows someone who can." He said. Corso nodded.
He was still shaking from what happened. Gaia. It felt different from before, more powerful. How? He needed to ask Sonny for advice.
"Do you want to take a break?" Warren asked. Corso taught it over for a second before nodding.

"A break sounds good." He said.

Where was he? Micro Ice slowly woke up. He felt dizzy. The room he was in was pitch black. He tried to sit up, but something held his hands over his head; handcuffs. He remembered what happened. Where was he now? It was dark, but he could make out Sonny next to him, also restrained. Sonny blinked several times as he woke up, trying to clear his head.
"Are you alright, Micro Ice?" He asked, keeping his voice down.
"I'm fine. Just want to get out." Micro Ice replied.
"Just do what I do, and you'll be free." Sonny said and started to talk Micro Ice through the process. He did it in one try. The kid was a fast learner.
"Artie taught you well." Sonny said as he freed himself as well. He looked around. They were in a cargo hold. But where?
Sonny made his way to a porthole. From the stars he could make out, he knew where they were headed.
It left him with a sinking feeling. He really didn't want to return, but it looked like he had no choice.
He activated his distress signal. The Pirates would need to act fast, and get to Abraxor quickly.

It was still as depressing as he remembered it. Bennett managed to get to the mountains unseen. Maybe that was a good thing. Bennett took off his sunglasses for a second. A puddle in the ground in front of him acted as a mirror. His yellow eyes could take the sun here, and the atmosphere.
Bennett looked at the scars around his eyes. They were looking a lot better then before. For a second, it made him smile. He was quite the ladykiller back in the day. And he was good at card games too.
Bennett shook the memories. No time for that.
Bennett tought as he was walking down the old mountain roads. Then, he heard footsteps. He quickly took refuge behind some rocks and used a tiny mirror to get a better view. What he saw baffled him.
Abraxian soldiers. What in the galaxy were they doing here? Bennett decided to follow them.

After practice, Corso's transmitter started acting strange. Warren looked at him, worried. Corso opened it, and he realized it was a distress signal being picked up.
Corso quickly tried to find who it was from.
It was Sonny.
Corso looked at Warren.
"Warren, get all the Flux Masters together, Sonny needs our help."

The ship was landing in the mountains at what looked like a hidden military base. They would have to be quick. Sonny activated his flux and looked to Micro Ice.
"Micro Ice, as a Flux Master, I give you permission to break the rules. Use The Breath of Akillian to shield yourself as soon as this door opens. I will try to hold them off, giving you a chance of escape." He said. Micro Ice nodded.
"Got it." He said.
Sonny and Micro Ice hid in a dark corner of the hold. As soon as they saw the cargo door open, Sonny immediately put up an energy shield, forcing the attackers backwards.
Micro Ice knew what he had to do as he bolted off.
He could hear commotion behind him, as Sonny was fighting their attackers off.
Micro Ice had no time to think. He rounded a corner, when a hood was thrown over his head.

Bennett had wandered into a very inhospitable part of the mountains of Abraxor. How anyone could live here was beyond him. He followed the military men back to camp. He could see men in lab coats line up.
He wanted to get closer, when he was grabbed from behind, and someone put a hand over his mouth.
Bennet tried to kick, but whoever was behind him, didn't let go. He felt a Stunner to his back.
"Calm down, you want to go to jail?" Whoever held him said.
Bennett nodded, raising his hands.
His captor held him down. Then, he heard whispering voices.
A small group of men, Abraxians by the look of it, dressed in rags, arrived. They had a prisoner with a hood over his head.
"We got a prisoner." The man that carried the prisoner said. "Couldn't get the other one. He stayed to fight."
Bennett was pushed to his feet.
A man approached him.
"Well, I'll be damned. Never expected to see you around here again, Bennett. Your brother is gonna love this." He said.
Bennett sighed.
"Will you let me go now? My boss, Sonny Blackbones, needs my brother's help." Bennett said.
The prisoner moved, hearing his voice.
"The kid you're having prisoner is Micro Ice. He's with us." Bennett said.
The man carrying Micro Ice put him down and untied him.
Micro Ice looked scared.
"Bennett, we need to go back. They got Sonny." He managed, his eyes filled with anxiety.
Bennett felt chills down his spine."We're going to need help. Abraxian military camps are hard to break into." Bennett said.
The leader of the group approached him.
"We need to get you two to our camp and contact Bertrand to help." He said.
Bennett nodded.
"Take us to Bertrand."

"Is he injured?" The Abraxian General asked, looking at their captive.
Sonny Blackbones, leader of the Pirates, CEO of Shiloh security. He had put up one hell off fight.
The other prisoner, a kid from Akillian, managed to escape.
"No, Sir, he's drained of Flux. It might take him a while to recover." His lieutenant said after scanning Sonny.
The General nodded.
"Put a Flux inhibitor on him, I'll deal with him later." he ordered.
"At once, Sir." The lieutenant saluted, and had the stretcher with the unconscious Blackbones transported to sick bay.
He, had some reading up to do on Sonny Blackbones.

Bennett looked around. They were led into a large cave that was turned into a base of operations. It reminded Bennett of their old hideout on Genesis.
"Let me see if he's in. Bertrand isn't someone you disturb without good reason. And after the Flux Masters called him, he's even more sour." Someone said.
Bennett and Micro Ice waited outside the cave.
A few seconds later, someone opened the curtain and waved for Micro Ice and Bennett to enter.
Bennett swallowed. This was the moment of truth.
As he entered, he noticed a tall, blond man sitting at a desk.
He spun the chair around, a smirk on his face.
"Hello there, brother. It's been a while." He said.
"It's been too long." Bennett said.
Bertrand nodded, and turned his attention to Micro Ice. Micro Ice squirmed as Bertrand held out his hand.
"It's a pleasure to meet one of The Snow Kids." He said.
Micro Ice took his hand.
"The honor is all mine, Sir." He said.
Bertrand grinned.
"No need to be so formal. Call me Bertrand."
Bennett smiled. So far this was going well.
Bertrand ordered some tea. As soon as they sat down, he looked at them.
"Now, tell me everything."

It seems Bertrand isn't such a bad guy after all.
Will Corso be able to keep the key safe until Sonny is free?
Time will tell.
The story is coming together very fast these days, and I have to admit, I am feeling quite proud of this one, and with Paranoidgirl's help, it's only getting better.
Thanks for all the work you do.
She told me about an article where she read the original creator of the show had a prologue in mind that explained the flux wars, how they came to be and who the involved parties were. I wanted to incorporate that. I will also try to incorporate more characters. I also make my chapters a bit shorter.
Please let me know what you think.
