The Old Man was walking the hallways of the great Bleylock Mansion. This should have been the place that held the seat of power on the planet.
But, because of the Flux Society, that never happened.
Both his son and his grandson had failed. He had to succeed.
He was still connected to the Planet's military, even at his age. He knew of the doomsday weapon. It would take immense force to power it. Their planet's Flux was banned, it could not be used. The only one that operated under a different rule, was Bertrand Erwholer. That man had no respect for the law and the Planet's rules. And he was a rebel. Actively working against their military.
"General Bleylock?" A voice said.
As he turned around, he saw a young soldier standing at the door, saluting him.
"What is it, Corporal?" The old General asked.
"Sir, the ship from Genesis has arrived. They carried two prisoners. Upon arrival, one of them escaped, he was protected by Sonny Blackbones." The Corporal informed.
General Bleylock nodded.
"Did he get recaptured?" He asked.
"No, Sir, but we have the other one. He's a powerful Flux Master. He was taken to the infirmary. He drained all his Flux, and needs time to recharge. Don't worry, he's being guarded so he won't escape." The Corporal said.
General Bleylock looked up. This sounded familiar.
"Who's the prisoner?" He asked.
"His name is Sonny Blackbones."

Callie got home as soon as she could once Corso informed her of Sonny's distress signal. Despite Corso's concern, Callie insisted on coming as well. Pregnant or not, this was about their husband. Callie looked at Corso, as he and Artie navigated The Black Manta towards Abraxor, where the call came from. Corso and Callie both put on the bracelets that gave them a telepathic link with Sonny. But despite their best efforts, Sonny was out of reach. Corso was growing more and more concerned.
He activated a hidden system. When Callie looked at him, Corso explained what it was; a prototype that could scan Sonny's vitals remotely.
Corso went through the data carefully. After a long while, Corso looked at her with a heavy sigh.
"I can't reach him. And his vitals have every indication of a Coma. I-I don't know what to make of it." He said.
Callie nodded as she leaned her head against Corso's chest.
"We'll find him Corso, I'm sure of it."

The room was blurry before his eyes. Sonny blinked several times in an attempt to clear his head. Finally, he was able to focus enough to make notice he was in a hospital bed. He looked around. He was alone at the moment, but that could change. He felt empty. He could hear a panel door open. Sonny braced himself. Two uniformed soldiers stepped inside, both armed with tasers. They were joined by an old familiar looking man in a General's uniform.
"You're awake, good. I never thought I'd see you again, especially after your role in my son's death." He said, as he stopped, a few feet from Sonny's bed.
"What do you want?" Sonny asked.
The General moved closer.
"I want you to pay for what you did to my son." The General stated. "Your Flux will do nicely."
Bleylocks father, of course. No use defending himself. The general was stuck in the past, pinning the blame on him.

At the rebel camp, Bennett and Micro Ice were shown around by Bertrand. As they walked through the impressive mountain camp, Bertrand was also sharing the story about the rebels fight against The Bleylocks.
There had been a total of four families of power, The Erwholers, The Bleylocks, The Madurgas, and The Lightners. Two of them, The Madurgas and The Lightners, The Bleylocks already dealt with, letting their children be married off to theirs and keeping them under control like that. The Erwholers, and their resistance to The Bleylocks reign was really the only issue. They saw through the ruse and refused. They had to be taken out the hard way.
Bertrand managed to escape, fleeing into the mountains and creating his own army to fight back.
Bennett nodded as his brother started talking about Platoon 33.
"I know all about it. But against all odds, one member survived." He reminded him.
Bertrand nodded.
"I remember Corso. He was a good soldier and a good man." He said.
Bennett nodded.
"He's Sonny's husband now." Bennett concluded.
Bertrand called a man over, and Bennett gave the frequency of Corso's transmitter to him.
"I can't risk taking you and Micro Ice with us. You hold the key, so they want you." He said.
Bennett nodded.
"Just find Sonny and get him out of there."

On board The Black Manta, Callie was sitting down with a cup of tea. She smiled as she saw Corso come in. He looked tired.
"Any news?" She asked.
Corso sighed, as he poured himself a cup of coffee and sat down across her.
"Bennett reached the rebels and found Bertrand. Sonny pulled some sort of stunt and Micro Ice is with them, but Sonny is still captive." Corso explained.
Callie nodded.
"The telepathy doesn't work. He must be in deep sleep. I did some checking while you spoke with the rebels, The Bleylocks are in control of the military on Abraxor, that's why they are so dangerous." Callie said, taking a biscuit.
Corso had to agree.
"They want to use him to power that weapon of theirs, I just know it." Corso said.
Callie nodded.
"Who will lead the rescue operation?" She asked, looking at her husband.
Corso took her hand.
"The Rebels stand the best chance. They know the layout of the camp where he's held. Bertrand will lead a strike tonight. They plan to get Sonny out of there. As soon as we approach Abraxor, we will deploy stealth mode. The rebels are on a secure frequency, they will guide us to their base." Corso said.
Callie smiled, placing her other hand on top of Corso's.
"Sonny will be fine, he always pulls through."

The military camp was silent. Bertrand and his people observed it for a while, noticing the strict guard. They were expecting an attack. Sonny was held captive in here. Bertrand relayed Corso's information. It was strange to see him again, after all these years. And Bennet was part of their group as well, this made him feel good about his little brother's choices in life. He focused his binoculars on the infirmary.
Bertrand tried to find the way with the least amount of possible resistance. He carefully took off the inhibitor he was forced to wear. His people looked at him.
"Make a diversion, and don't get yourself caught." He ordered.
They nodded and sneaked forward to place explosive charges as a distraction. At his signal, they detonated them.
The guards went on full alert, using their flashlights to try to find them. Lights, designed to look like laser blasts, started to go off. Harmless toys, but they didn't know. Bertrand smiled as he activated The Darkness.

Sonny woke up by the noise of what sounded like a base assault. He could use this to get out.
He looked at the cabinet in the corner as a person manifested from the shadows. Sonny held back a gasp. It was Bertrand.
Bertrand put a finger to his lips.
Sonny nodded as Bertrand walked over to him.
"We finally meet in person. You need a hand?" He asked, pulling out a knife.
Sonny grinned and lifted his bound hands.
"Go right ahead." He said.
Bertrand quickly cut the binds. As Sonny tried to sit up, he felt that he was still weak.
Bertrand helped Sonny to his feet and placed a hand around his waist to support him.
He could hear people approaching. They had to leave, right now.
Bertrand helped Sonny walk. Sonny wasn't in any condition to run.
Bertrand quickly looked around. They needed a shadow large enough to envelop them both. There was a medical cabinet in the room that would work perfectly. They hurried over to it, and Bertrand used his Flux. By the time the military reached Sonny's room, they were gone.
The Lieutenant instantly got worried and took his radio.
"General Bleylock, we have a problem."

Bennett and Micro Ice watched as the rebels returned. Bertrand exited with Sonny.
"Prepare the medications. He's barely hanging on." Bertrand commanded. Sonny was placed on a bed as some sort of machine was put next to him.
"Is he… ?" Micro Ice looked worried, this was all his fault.
"No need to worry. It's exhaustion due to overuse of his Flux. I know just what to do. That said, he needs bed rest for at least a few days and I will do a medical checkup, just in case." Bertrand checked his pulse. It was dropping. "He does need some life force."
Bennett frowned.
"That sounds very worrisome, actually." He said.
Bertrand took out a small tube, with a strange liquid inside. Micro Ice gasped. It was the Flux from the tube with the blue crest on it that he accidentally discovered and started this whole mess.
"That Flux was part of the mix Sonny found in the Flux Bomb that took out The circle of the Fluxes. Are you sure this is safe?" He said.
Bertrand nodded.
"Correct. The life force is a synthetic Flux that was made with the intent to save people from Flux exhaustion. It's saved lives before. Here's to hoping we were in time."

Oh no, what's happening now?
All this and more to come. Thank you Paranoid girl for the excellent job you do betaing this story.
