Professor Benson was pleased with himself. Involving Technoid was just what he needed. Clamp was just a bonus. Life Force could become so much stronger.
He just had to keep Blackbones away. He knew he was a fake. Then again, he wouldn't be a problem while captive on Abraxor. For the next step in the plan, they had to conquer Stellar Unix.
Now they just needed the key.
Maybe Blackbones had it at home. And all of his family was gone, so it was empty.

"Search Blackbones' house. The key has to be there."

Corso looked around inside the tank they brought him to. Bertrand decided today was a good day to start his training. The tank was constructed in a way that would keep all the energy inside, power the electronics of the cave, and keep it from being detected. In the middle, Bertrand had put up... Flowers. Corso was puzzled.
Bertrand laughed.
"Don't be so surprised. I have read up on Gaia. It's a nurturing Flux. You haven't used it in a while, have you?"
Corso nodded.
"I was training when it manifested. It threw me off. Felt like I was choking on dirt." Corso admitted.
Bertrand nodded.
"You used it before. Shame made you desert it, but Gaia was still there. Remember, running is one solution, but you can't run from your roots. Chissia and Gaia are as big a part of you, as The seed of Shiloh and The Pirates. While Sonny's resting, how about we train both your Fluxes?" He said.
Corso nodded. He had the chance to learn from someone that mastered one of the most dangerous Fluxes in the galaxy.
"What do you need me to do?"

Sonny opened his eyes. The room was... Not a room. It was a cave. And to his right was… Callie. Sonny smiled, she had fallen asleep with her head on his chest, holding his hand to her baby bump. The little one was kicking. This made some tears form in his eyes. Sonny looked around. He quickly noticed the instruments above his head and the electrodes he had on his chest.
Carefully, he raised his hand and slid it over her hair. Callie moved slightly in her sleep.
Sonny couldn't help himself as he carefully pushed himself up and kissed her. Callie opened her eyes.
"Sonny... You're awake." She whispered.
Sonny smiled gently as he pulled her close.
"Yes I am. Did Micro Ice make it out ok?" He asked.
Callie nodded.
"He did. He has been at your side, watching over you. Corso's going to have some words for you." She said.
Sonny chuckled.
"How is our little bundle of joy doing?" He asked.
"Making me ill, every morning." Callie admitted.
Sonny kissed her again.
"We'll get through this, I promise." He said.
Callie smiled.
"Try saying that to Corso. He's angry." She said.
That made Sonny frown. He had to talk to Corso about this. It wasn't easy for him to open up. If he was mad at him over this, Sonny knew he had to pull it out.

Corso was breathing hard. Bertrand was a tough instructor.
Gaia could be used to heal, but also, as a fierce defense.
"You're a fast learner. I wouldn't want to piss you off." Bertrand commented as he ended the session.
Corso wiped his forehead.
"You really made me work for it. I respect someone that can make me sweat like that".
"Noted. I'll make sure our training sessions will ramp up, just how you like them." Came from behind them.
It was Sonny, with Callie gently supporting him. He moved slowly, but at least he was up.
"Sonny!" Corso hurried over to hug him.
"Don't ever do that again. You almost gave me a heart attack." He said.
Sonny gently placed his arms around him.
"I'm sorry Corso." He tried gently.
Corso started shaking, and Sonny could feel the tears coming from his normal eye.
Before Sonny could say anything else, Corso kissed him.
"Not to intrude, but I might need your help." Bertrand said, looking at the two of them intently.

D'Jok checked his father's house.
He was about ready to lock up and head home, when a sound, coming from upstairs, made him stop. The house was supposed to be empty.
Another sound made D'Jok activate The Breath as he slowly made his way upstairs.
The noise came from the master bedroom.
D'Jok used a tiny mirror to take a peek inside the room.
Whoever it was, they were targeting the safe. Not on D'Jok's watch.
"Hey, what are you doing?" He yelled, as he activated The breath.
The person turned halfway, and before D'Jok could act, he was attacked.
A blast threw him backwards.
That was enough to set him off. He was under enough stress as it was.
This was his father's home. He was not going to let it be tarnished. From that burning determination, came a burning rage.
D'Jok got up from the floor. At the same time, his Flux started to manifest in his hands.
This person was going to pay.
"I don't know who you are, but this is my father's home, and you're not invited. Leave." He ordered.
The attacker didn't look bothered. He just put up an electric grid shield, keeping D'Jok out, and turning to a picture of their wedding. That was where the safe was!
That had to be where whatever this burglar wanted was.
D'Jok had to stop him.

Dame Simbai looked at her gauges, as an alarm alerted to a Flux being activated outside of Soccer. Something only a Flux Master would be allowed to do.
"Flux activation in Sector Two, level One. Flux identified as The Breath of Akillian, User identified as Flux Master D'Jok Blackbones." The computer voice stated.
Dame Simbai knew this was trouble. D'Jok would never use his Flux unless it was an emergency.
Dame Simbai took her phone.
"Genesis police, how may I help you?" The robot on the other end asked.
Dame Simbai sighed.

"I need a patrol dispatched. It's an emergency."

This was going to take forever. D'Jok kept the burglar busy. He used his Flux to weaken the energy shield, which stopped the burglar from trying to open the safe.
However, soon they could hear sirens.
He was about to break through when the Technoid patrol entered. However, the burglar soon shut it down. D'Jok was shocked when he realized, this was connected to the being the Pirates already had in captivity.
He looked him straight in the eyes, reactivating the hypnosis that D'Jok thought had been dealt with. He fell to his knees, his head spinning violently. He felt sick, unable to move. He could only sit and watch the burglar blast open the safe, and extract a key. He turned to D'Jok.
"You'll be insurance." He said, as D'Jok felt the world go black.

Sonny looked over the plans for the area where the doomsday weapon was located. The walk would be in open terrain, which wasn't ideal.
"We need someone to coordinate this. Bertrand's Flux sounds like our best option" Sonny concluded.

"And I'll go with. And Sonny… please stay behind this time. For everyone's sake." Corso said, looking at him.
Bertrand nodded.
"Corso is right, you're needed on the outside." He said. Sonny nodded.
"I understand. I don't want you and Callie angry at me over this. I will take the position as the outside coordinator. With that out of the way, can we get back to discussing how to take out the weapon? We need to make sure it will be destroyed permanently." Sonny pointed out.
Corso nodded with a relieved smile.
"There is the man I married." He said.
Bertrand smiled as Corso hugged Sonny, before they got busy, calling in the team of rebels partaking in the raid.

D'Jok slowly came to, with a splitting headache. As soon as he managed to focus, he looked around. Darkness, walls, looking like a cave, surrounded him.
He tried to move, but found his hands and feet restrained.
If he could reach his panic button, he could signal for help. He managed to reach it, and activate it. Now, he just had to wait for help to arrive.

At the rebel base on Abraxor, the teams prepared for tonight's mission.
Corso had put on camouflage paint to make sure he was unseen inside the mountain, Bennett was going to remain by Sonny's side. Bertrand had a feeling this could be dangerous, and was not about to let his little brother into trouble.
They were about ready to leave, when Micro Ice approached Sonny. He looked worried.
"Is something wrong?" Sonny asked as he looked at the young Snow Kid.
Micro Ice nodded.
"I just got a message from Dame Simbai. There was a burglary at your house. The droids that responded were destroyed." He said.
Sonny frowned.
"They must have been after Bennett's key. That complicates matters." Corso said.
Sonny nodded.
Micro Ice was still worried.
"Dame Simbai also said there was Flux activated during the burglary." He said.
Sonny had a sinking feeling about this.
"Whose Flux?" He asked.
Micro Ice looked down, worried.
"It was D'Jok's."

Well, this may just be an enemy that is striking at multiple targets at once. Is this a situation The pirates know how to deal with, or do they need to call in reinforcements?
Who abducted D'Jok?
How do The Bleylocks play into this?
And what about the Chissian Flux, Gaia?
All this and more to come.
Thank you to Paranoid girl, for always helping me find direction when I veer off course or make things too complicated.
