Hawk Tidman rubbed his forehead. He spent hours on end to make sure all numbers and calculations were correct for the place they traced D'Jok's signal to. It came from a place where some of the worst military operatives of Abraxor resided. Prince Zoltar hated this place, for good reasons. He spent a long time there, interrogated over fake accusations of espionage. All because of one of the noble families' lust for power. And now D'jok was there. He wasn't sure how to break this to the Prince. For this mission, they needed someone who'd been there. Whether he liked it or not, Prince Zoltar had to go on a rescue mission.
Hawk sighed, as he opened his arm mounted computer, changed into his paladin uniform, and called.
"Your Highness, I have the location we need to go to."

It was chaos at Shiloh Security. Corso was livid.
"Anyone want to tell me how the hell this happened? This prisoner could spell doom for us and the Galaxy and he just… vanished?!" Corso yelled, his voice shaking.
If he was right about this prisoner being connected with everything, this was a very dire situation.
First things first. He looked at Bennett.
"You did wear gloves when you served him his meals, right Bennett?" Corso asked him, dangerously calm.
Bennett looked at the ground.
"W-well, you know I usually don't do gloves…" He stammered.
Corso forced himself to keep calm.
"So he very likely has your palm print as well. GREAT. I'm going to inform Sonny about this, since they now have everything to activate the weapon." He said.
Bennett nodded, head down in shame.
"I'll make it up to all of you." Bennett stammered.
Corso sighed.
"Sonny has enough on his mind with the Paladins to extract D'Jok. I'm sure Sonny will understand. For now, I want you to track Professor Benson." Corso said.
Bennett saluted and went to do what was asked of him.
Corso sighed as he called Sonny to report what just happened.

D'Jok knew they found out he escaped when the alarms were going off. He tried to find cover while waiting for a chance to sneak in one of the smaller ships. He decided to try to get to Stellar Unix, where he knew his father had friends.
He thought about Mei and Iris as a lump of guilt started to form in his stomach. Why didn't he tell Mei where he was going? He was sure Sonny figured out something had happened by now, and was searching for him. He had to get some form of transmitter... Wait, didn't he get past a small workshop?
He just needed to get back into the vent, and crawl back to the place where he had seen it. D'Jok smirked. He could still make this work.

Prince Zoltar listened intently as Sonny informed him of the latest development about where they needed to go. The Moon where he was kept prisoner. Now D'Jok was being held there, most likely to power the Weapon. His own home planet was a likely target. They had to move quickly.
"We'll arrive in an hour. I know the place he's held. It was my prison for a few years. If he managed to get out, he should be able to find cover in the ventilation ducts." He said.
Sonny nodded.
"Do you have any idea how long it would take for the Weapon to reach a planet? Or how much Flux it drains?" Sonny asked.
Prince Zoltar could hear the worry in his voice.
"I'm afraid I don't know right now, but I'll ask Hawk to work with Artie to see if they can find out. I also hope this will help with the Resonance." He smiled.
Sonny nodded.
"Clamp and I are still working on an improved solution. Maybe the Force is one. I didn't have the time to properly check. I only have the accounts of Bennett, and my spouses to go on. From what I was told, it was a close call this time." He admitted.
Zoltar smiled.
"Let's hope for the best." He said.
Sonny managed to return the smile.
"Let me know as soon as you have something." He asked.
Prince Zoltar nodded, and ended the transmission.
Solaris came into the room.
"I'm coming, too. We need the Golden Armor for this." She said.
Prince Zoltar nodded.
"As you wish, Your Highness." He said as he kissed her.

D'Jok moved carefully inside the ducts. He soon made his way into the workshop. Good thing these boxes with parts were marked, that made it easier to find what he was looking for. He came across something that looked like a recipe. For Mice Delight. Who supplied that drink?
He never tasted it, but he had heard from Clamp and Mark that it wasn't all that great.
But it had been the solution to the multiflux problem with Team Paradisia. The pirates always kept a stash of it ready, just in case. What did Mice delight have to do with all of this? He had to worry about that later. Right now, he needed to call for help.
D'Jok quickly found the components he needed. He was about to crawl silently back into the ducts when four droids entered and got a hold of him. D'Jok tried to break free, to no avail and soon he was carried off.

The ship from Stellar Unix approached the small, almost undetectable moon. Prince Zoltar's face hardened when he saw it again. The memories of what he had been subjected to while imprisoned here still stuck in his mind. He could feel Solaris' hand on his shoulder. As they came closer, they put the ship in stealth mode. As they got close enough, Prince Zoltar got himself ready. He wanted this to be over as soon as possible.

Professor Benson stared at D'Jok as he was brought before him by the guards.
"Sir, the servant has returned. We got the palm print, now, all we need is a flux master to power the weapon." One of the guards holding him said.
Professor Benson grinned.
"We're ready for a test. This young man here is a Flux Master, correct?" he asked as he approached D'Jok.
"I'm not going to help you." D'Jok snarled as he tried to break free.
Professor Benson just scoffed.
"You really are your father's son." He calmly said.
"Can you at least tell who you are and why you're doing this?" D'Jok asked as calmly as he could.
"We're not going to just rat out my boss, he has plans for the entire Galaxy. Well, I say 'Boss' but we'll be controlling him. They'd be more like a puppet. To make sure there is peace. Because that's all we want in the end; peace." One of the other scientists said as he approached them, dressed in a worn old lab coat. Something about his eyes was… off. Like he was being possessed.
"You really think you can do this? Others tried before and they've failed." D'jok said, getting an idea who this 'Puppet' was. "You know what I think?"D'Jok asked in an effort to buy time.
"Please, enlighten me." Another scientist said, still with the same voice.
"You're The Shadow behind the throne, aren't you?" D'Jok challenged.
A black shadow came from the Scientist that last talked, moving in front of D'Jok.
"You catch on fast. Attach him to the weapon." It ordered.
D'Jok fought as hard as he could, to no avail. He could feel the clamps being locked around his wrists and the belts locked around his legs and chest.
A young scientist brought in a plaster cast of a palm print. Bennett's palm print.
"You'll pay for this. When my father finds you, he will END you." D'Jok yelled furiously.
"I hope so. His Flux would make this weapon far more potent. But you'll do, for now." the shadowy figure said before the weapon was powered up.
D'Jok felt an excruciating pain soar through his entire body. He tried to fight it, but his Flux was drained out of his body at a rapid pace.
"DAD!"

Oh my, is this the end for D'Jok? Don't miss the exciting continuation.
As always, thank you Paranoidgirl, for the Beta Reading.
