Kuun Takashi looked them over. D'Jok was stunned at how much he looked like his older brother. Stevens decided to take the lead and speak for them.
"We were sent to find you, Kuun. By Sonny Blackbones." He said.
Kuun nodded, as he turned to the Pirate, looking him over.
"Stevens and Kate, am I right? Saw some of your games. Not bad. Blackbones must be proud." Kuun said.
Then he looked at Micro Ice. Something about his eyes looked… familiar. Then he noticed the boy's necklace. He had to fight not to show his surprise. He had one like that, made by his mother. His brother had one, too. For the longest time he figured his brother died on Ascaron. Another victim of the ruthless war machine. Now he used the skills he learned in that machine for the Pirates.
Micro Ice spoke up.
"Did I… do something?" He asked, looking nervous.
Kuun struggled to put on a reassuring smile.
"I'm sorry, Micro Ice. Your eyes remind me of… someone special." He managed.
Micro Ice nodded with a grin.
"I have that effect on some people," He said.
"Let's sit down and have a chat." He said and gestured towards some rough made benches.
"You'll have to forgive me, we're not exactly drowning in riches." He said.
As their guests sat down, Kuun sat down directly across from them.
"Is this about Corso? " He asked.
"Yes. Though by now he's called Corso Blackbones." Stevens explained.
That made Kuun raise an eyebrow.
"So he got married again. Good for him." He said with a smile.
D'Jok looked at the match inside the sphere, on the screen behind Kuun.
It was eerie to see this again, and Kuun noticed his discomfort.
"What's the matter?" He asked.
D'Jok sighed, as he began to explain.

Corso's team managed to get to the controls of the Weapon. To destroy it, they would have to take it elsewhere. The security protocols needed some specialists to look at. As they dismantled it as well they could, Corso checked in with the team dealing with the scientists. They took the unconscious bodies back to the ship after having checked for trackers. As soon as his team was in the clear, Corso sent the order for all to get back to the ship and report.
As they headed home, Corso decided to call Artie. No luck. Where was he? Then, he tried Bennett, same result. That wasn't good. He decided to call Sonny next.

The nursery was all set. Sonny wiped the sweat of his forehead as he looked at his very pregnant wife.
"That should do it. But next time, I'm getting Corso to help." He said.
Callie walked over and kissed him.
"Does it help if I say you look very handsome like that?" She asked.
Sonny chuckled. Then, he pulled her as close as her big belly would allow.
"I'll just let him change the diapers." He threatened mildly.
Callie laughed, before she had to sit down.
"You look exhausted. Maybe you should stop working." Sonny tried, but was cut off by Callie's laughter.
"I'll work from home, but I'm not stopping." She said.
Sonny was about to say something when his transmitter beeped. A few seconds later, Corso's hologram appeared.
"How are you two doing?" Corso asked.
Sonny grinned.
"Nursery's done. But I left some work for you." Sonny reported.
That made Corso sigh.
"Of course you did." He said.
Sonny chuckled.
"How about I'll prepare a night just for the two of us?" Sonny offered.
"Night at our favorite bar?" Corso suggested.
Sonny could not hold back a laugh.
"Deal. So, what are you calling me for?" He asked.
Corso nodded and explained that he couldn't contact Artie and Bennett. He noticed Sonny getting uneasy.
"You know where they are, don't you?" he asked.
Sonny sighed.
"Can we speak privately?" He asked.
Corso nodded, and swiftly withdrew to his personal cabin.
"Tell me Sonny, what is going on?"

Micro Ice was looking around the camp they were guided to.
Kuun called it Hell. He found himself here trying to find his brother. He explained how their version of the Sphere worked; how it stored Flux, but returned it afterward.
He wondered if this could be a solution for Rocket and the others.
Kuun walked up to him.
"Could we talk in private?" He asked.
"Sure, what do you want to talk about?" Micro Ice asked.
Kuun gestured for him to sit down beside him. Then, he pulled out a necklace from under his military jacket. Micro Ice gasped. It was the same as his own necklace. Kuun simply nodded.
"I made these when I was stationed on Akillian, after the catastrophe. One I kept for myself, another I gave away." He Explained.
Micro Ice nodded unsure what to say.
"I was born a year after the catastrophe, my mom raised me as a single parent. She never told me who my father was. I never really found out." He said.
"What's your mother's name?" Kuun asked.
Micro Ice looked at him, it was like he started to get what Kuun was after.
"Her name is Celina Ice, but we all call her.." He said before Kuun cut him off.
"Mom Ice" He said.
Micro Ice could see how Kuun looked very emotional.
"You're my dad, aren't you?" he managed, stoddering.

"Looks like it…"

Corso had listened attentively while Callie explained her conversation with Mom Ice and the connection between Micro Ice and his brother. Sonny just looked him over. Corso looked at Callie.
"Words will never be enough. Thank you so much." He said. Then he turned to Sonny.
"You probably want to know why I don't talk about him. Well, I barely saw him after I became a soldier. I probably wouldn't even recognize him. I just hope we can get him out of that Hell." He said.
Sonny agreed.
"That place is considered inescapable. We can't just go there ourselves. That's too risky." He said
Corso agreed.
"Let's just finish the things we're involved in right now. Have you heard back from them?" He asked.
Sonny nodded.
"It's Code Red, but I believe in them." Sonny said.
Corso nodded.
"With that out of the way, how do you feel knowing you're an uncle?" he asked.
Corso grinned.
"I guess we'll find out later." He said.

Kuun had a decision to make. He could stay here, in this hostile and unsafe environment, take his chances that he could still flee the Andro zygnans, or, he could take the Pirates' offer, come with them, and make peace with his brother. What held him back, was all the other people forced to live as slaves on this hellish outpost in the middle of nowhere. Then he figured, he could convince the Pirates to help them free these people.
He decided to go for it. He had to face his brother, make up with him. Not to mention he had a duty as a soldier to help the Galaxy. He also needed to make it up to Mom Ice.
Another rebel approached him.
"I'll come back and free you all as soon as possible." He told him.
Kuun felt a hand on his shoulder.
"Thank you." The rebel said.
Kuun felt tears coming up.
"I'll make it up to all of you, I swear."

Rocket was amazed. It had been several weeks now, and his strength was still back. It was constant. He looked at Sonny, who read through the results again to make sure.
Then, Sonny put the notes aside. And his face was one of relief.
"Start mass producing, we have a cure."

Corso was amazed at the files he found. There were recipes for how to create synthetic, undetectable Fluxes. Maps of where armies had been strategically placed. And a list of all involved parties. Brim Balarius' role was explained in detail. Why the death of Brim Simbra had to happen. The reason why they took out the Flux Society. He even found a file on the Category Five students. Sonny needed to know about this, right now. Who was behind all this?
Corso decided to investigate. And he discovered one of the scientists was missing. Had to be him.
Craig Benson.
"Don't think you can do this so easily. We'll find you and stop you."

I know the story is a bit more mellow now, but that's for a reason. I decided to keep my cards close to my chest this time. If no one asks, I won't explain. Hopefully, you still like the story.
Thanks Paranoidgirl, for your amazing job.
Happy reading everyone.
