D'Jok wasn't sure why he was teamed up with Micro Ice today, but he guessed there was a reason.
Besides, going through shipment manifests for Mice Delight shouldn't be hard.
Sonny figured Mice delight was a fuel source for Droids, and wherever it was delivered, he wanted to know the location and amount.
D'Jok knew his father was looking for the storage facilities of droids that Craig Benson ordered.
He already checked the addresses given by Technoid for deliveries.
Those locations were all empty.
D'Jok asked if he and Micro Ice were allowed to take part in the field missions, if they located the Andro zygnans' hidden army.
The answer was 'No'.
"Nice try D'Jok. You stay with Micro Ice and look over those shipments. You're too young for the front lines." Sonny said, while changing Adrienne's diaper.
D'Jok sighed.
"I don't think I'll ever be ready in your eyes." He said.
Sonny shot him a look.
"You'll never be, if I can help it. You shouldn't have to." Sonny said.
D'Jok sighed.
"FINE." He said.
Sonny had finished with Adrienne, and put her back on the babygym with Marco.
He crossed his arms when looking at his oldest son.
"Until you have more experience, you'll have to do as I say." He said.
Micro Ice came from his room and looked at D'Jok, then Sonny.
"Cheer up D'Jok. At least you're not working under Corso." He tried.
Sonny chuckled.
"Now, back to work, both of you."
Craig Benson felt cornered.
He could see his enemy on every street, in every shadow.
But they didn't know where he was. Right?
On top of that, his Masters were getting impatient.
The Weapon had to be deployed.
And they needed someone with a strong Flux to power it.
He had hoped the battery of synthetic flux they produced would be sufficient, but no dice. It only lasted seconds.
They needed Sonny Blackbones. If anyone could power their battery, it was him.
The Andro Zygnan inside of him wanted to go from his body, to Sonny's. Get him under full control.
There was just one problem.
By now Sonny knew his allegiance.
Craig looked up as his keeper showed himself.
"He's trying to find you. Make it easy for him, so we can catch him." The Andro Zygnan ordered.
"They'll expect that." Craig said.
"You're not even trying. Pathetic. Remember, your body is almost at an end, and I need another one. A stronger one."The Andro Zygnan said.
Craig started to regret his actions. He didn't want a part of this any more.
"By your command,Master"
Armed with what they now knew about the enemy, Duke Maddox called Sonny, Brim Balarius and all leaders to a meeting at the war room.
Sonny looked at all of them as he pulled up a map with the locations D'jok and Micro Ice had found.
Duke Maddox looked concerned as he watched the map.
Sonny could understand why.
The enemy's army was everywhere.
General Benson and General Bleylock looked worried.
"How did they build and move an army this size with NO ONE noticing!?" General Bleylock almost roared, though Sonny noticed fear seeping through.
"They probably started small. And their ability to possess people helped. They hid in plain sight. If it wasn't for Micro Ice stumbling upon their plot when they tried to build a base on Akillian, we might still be in the dark about this. There is no nice way to say this; we're at the brink of war. And unless we come together as one, we will lose. We need to hold them back until I get validation on a request I've sent to the Shiloh Archipelago." Sonny said.
He felt all eyes on him.
Duke Maddox looked suspicious.
"What are you up to, Blackbones?" He grumbled.
"I guess it's time to come clean about one of my projects." Sonny said as he turned on a projector.
It showed a hologram of a gigantic sphere, several times the size of Genesis, with a protective stealth shield.
"This is Project X999. It's made with all of the Pirates' latest technology. The sphere will be able to house all inhabitants of Genesis, including supplies for three years. As the Leader of the Pirates, I'm prepared to use this sphere as a base for this War." Sonny said.
Duke Maddox looked amazed.
Apparently there were three of these bases.
"Are these open to people from other planets?" He asked.
Sonny nodded.
"Ships are on standby if an evacuation is necessary. They're also our line of defense against the stationed armies." Sonny pressed a button to show the biggest placements of droids they found.
"Xzion, Abraxor, Hectonia… those are the biggest bases. Now that we know this, we might just stand a chance." He said.
"Anything else you're keeping from us?" General Benson grumbled.
Sonny nodded.
"We've tried to track down Craig Benson. We've only recently picked up his trail. We know Craig Benson is a human host for an Andro Zygnan; the warlord Ta'Nakh. We've found a way to trace him; through security footage from the astro port. My Pirates have patrolled the area ever since he went underground, hoping he would like he went on an inspection round to all the listed planets. We lost track of him on the last planet he disembarked on, one without a detectable army. But he hasn't left yet." Sonny said, and pulled up the chart for the planet in question.
There was an audible gasp as Akkillian was revealed.
So, Akillian is the starting point of a potential new war.
Will this be stopped?
