Corso looked at the new uniforms that D'Jok and Micro Ice wore.
Things were getting serious.
Corso was happy Sonny was one of the leaders.
It would keep him safe from harm.
Yet, he was still worried. They all were.
Corso put his uniform down, getting ready to change, when Sonny entered the room.
Corso smiled, as he snuck in a kiss.
Sonny chuckled, then, he looked at the uniform that Corso had hung up neatly.
"Just in time. I have a special assignment for you my love." He said.
"What do you need me to do?" Corso asked.
Sonny took a small projector from inside his pocket, and turned it on.
Corso looked at the image of the icy planet.
"I need intel on where the Andro Zygnans are hiding their army of droids on Akillian. Find them and observe them. Their leader would use Craig Benson's body as a host, so he should be easy to spot. Send me all the information so I can plan a strike." Sonny said.
"Dangerous Mission Sonny. Are you sure about this?"Corso asked.
Sonny chuckled.
"Let me see you in that uniform Corso, then I'll know." He said.
Corso nodded, then hopped in the shower, before returning to Sonny in the bedroom.
He put on the uniform for a fit.
"You look good in that uniform." Sonny whistled.
"Wish I didn't have to do this… but thanks." Corso said. "Your turn."
Sonny chuckled, as he took his own uniform and started putting it on.
Kuun was getting ready for departure.
Corso was in charge of the mission.
Kuun stared at his new uniform.
The Pirates' emblem was embedded on it. Did that make him one of them?
But what really mattered, was that he'd see Mom Ice for the first time since before she had Micro IceHe was now an official parent, and everything that came with that. He just hoped he was prepared.
The two brothers would have some time to themselves during this trip.
Kuun looked up as Corso entered his cabin.
"We need you on the bridge for take off in ten minutes. Good to have you on the team." Corso smiled.
Kuun nodded.
"I wish it was under better circumstances." He said.
Corso nodded.
"Let's make sure we'll make things better." He said.
Kuuns eyes darkened.
"I hope Benson pays for what he did." He said.
Corso looked at his little brother, and noticed the glimmer of anger.
"We'll deal with him properly. Wouldn't want to stoop down to his level." He said.
Kuun nodded.
"You're right. Let's not end up like him."
It was cold in the Akillian mountains.
Craig Benson pulled his coat around him tighter.
He arrived a few days earlier, to oversee the deployment of the droid army they created.
Akillian was the perfect spot to place it.
The planet was small and hardly on anyone's radar outside of Football.
There were simply too little resources.
The Zaelion galaxy was but a pit stop to a bigger prize.
Craig almost forgot his days on Chissia.
It wasn't really worth remembering.
Their army was grand, but that was about it. His father was an important part of it, and he inherited that part.
His father expected him to create chemical weapons, bionics and other machines that the military could use.
Then, Craig and his team attempted to create the ultimate Weapon. A syntethic Flux.
Just like Sonny, or rather I'Son, did.
However, where he failed, Sonny succeeded.
And he destroyed it. What a waste.
Yet they still needed him. His Flux.
Craig Bensons smiled slyly.
Even the great Sonny Blackbones wouldn't be prepared for everything, and certainly not their attack.
Sonny was studying the mix he had made.
It was similar to the Metaflux, but far less dangerous.
He archived it for future use.
He was thinking about his plan.
He had to be careful, even more so than usual.
Using himself as bait was going to be dangerous.
Both Clamp and Bertrand looked at him, as Sonny made ready to test the Mix.
Sonny carefully placed a test tube of the Mix in the middle of a bomb proof chamber, using a robotic arm.
It looked impressive, but was mostly harmless.
Sonny grinned as he turned to his friends.
"Nailed it. The next step is to find the Warlord and Craig Benson." He said.
Clamp looked at him."Here's to hoping the rest of you plan works as well…"
Corso was going through his plan of attack when Kuun entered his cabin.
He looked up from the sofa where he sat.
"Getting excited about doing a mission together?" He asked with a smile.
Kuun grinned at him.
"Sort of. I have some questions though." He said.
Corso nodded. He had expected that.
"Let's hear it." He said, gesturing towards another sofa.
Kuun nodded, and took a seat.
"Why didn't you let us know that you were alive?" He asked.
Corso sighed.
"They would brand me a traitor and kill me. And by that time I was also a Pirate. It would've been too difficult." He said softly.
Kuun nodded.
"So what do you say little brother?Want to help me make a battle plan for how to capture the enemy on Akillian?" Corso asked and nodded to the maps that littered the coffee table.
Kuun nodded.
"Thought you would never ask." He said as he bent over the maps along with Corso, to formulate a battle plan.
D'Jok had a rare day off with Mei and Iris.
Iris wanted to go to Genesis Park, so that's where they went.
They had a great time with the rides, Iris making loud noises of pure joy as they went through.
D'Jok knew she liked spending time with her grandparents too, and last time Corso and Sonny teamed up to do something with her, they let her roam around The Black Manta.
Iris came home showing off a small bracelet with a Pirate emblem, announcing she was now the Princess of the Pirates.
"Daddy, can I have some Crazy Flux candy?" Iris asked, tugging at her father's arm.
"Sure Princess, let's go get some." He said.
Mei shook her head as Iris jumped with joy.
"I'm taking her to the dentist afterward." She said.
D'Jok smiled.
"You're the one that wants one more." He teased.
Mei chuckled.
"I might change my mind about that." She said.
Then, she noticed how D'Jok froze. Mei tried to see what he was looking at.
It looked like a Xenon, but the colors were off.
This was one of the shapeshifters that the Pirates had captured.
D'Jok slowly moved to protect Iris, while Mei had grabbed her special can of mace.
As they started to head for the exit, D'Jok threw another look over his shoulder.
The shapeshifter was following them.
D'Jok activated his distress signal, hoping it wouldn't be long till reinforcements arrived.
The craft landed softly in the snow outside of Arcadia.
Corso gathered all the troops, informing them on what was at hand.
They simply nodded.
Find out where the army was, scout the area, and map out the parameters before reporting back to Corso.
Corso would relay the information to the Chissian and Abraxor Armies.
Corso divided them into groups of three.
On the final team, Corso made sure his brother and Davison were with him.
Kuun nodded as they got dressed for the outdoors.
Soon, they were on their way.
Sonny was very serious when D'Jok and Mei delivered their report.
The enemy was targeting his family spesifically now. This was bad, especially with children involved.
He had to keep them safe.
Sonny put on his best smile, despite how he felt.
"D'Jok, you and Mei and Iris will be staying here, until we can learn more. He's going after my family and we can't have that." Sonny said, as he helped Callie load the disher.
Mei looked at him.
"Can I still go to work?" She asked.
"Of course. I'll arrange body guards for all of you." Sonny promised.
Callie looked a bit anxiously at her husband.
"I'm worried Sonny. If they are trying to find a Flux Master to power up the Weapon, you're a prime target." She said.
Sonny pulled her close and gave her a kiss.
"I know Callie. And I'm prepared for that, don't worry." Sonny assured her with a smile.
Callie nodded.
"I hope so Sonny. Corso should be careful too." She suggested.
Sonny nodded.
"I'll make sure he'll be careful." He said.
Sonny dialed Corso's contact code, but got no reply.
That made him frown.
He tried again, with the same result.
Something was very, very wrong.
