Gruetly Bay Farm Life

Season one Episode seven: A Dog for Music

Rock music started playing for the opening theme, and after a couple seconds, Lucky was shown to be skateboarding out of the barn with a confident smile. "London to Gruetly Bay is kind of a big change! (Patch is shown to be drawing something while sitting under a tree and hi fiving Lucky as he skates by) But Lucky's gonna take it on cause the mission's in range! (Two-tone is shown to be helping the pink pig from the intro with a dress as she waves to Lucky as he skates by) He and his friends are ready for whatever comes their way! (Rolly is shown to be reading a cooking magazine while giving a thumbs up to Lucky as he passes by) And they'll be by each other's side every day!"

Lucky is then shown to be talking to Roxie with the two showing clear feelings for one another. "Romance, (Lucky is shown to be punching a ferret that tries to attack him) action, (Lucky and his friends are shown to be various activities in the Bark Brigade) it doesn't matter! They're gonna work hard to make it better! (Lucky is shown to be punching Mooch right in the jaw) Bullies, (Lucky is shown to be struggling to sit through one of Tibbs' lectures) boredom, they can get through it! (Lucky is shown to be admiring his butt in a mirror before he jumps out the window) And Lucky is the leader who's gonna become most fit!"

The song then finished with the song finishing in an epic rock fashion as Lucky skateboards down the ladder to the window of the barn's top floor. "He's skateboard packed and ego charged! (Lucky is shown giving a sly grin and finger bang to some nearby animals who're annoyed by his ego) Cocky bugger livin' large! (Lucky spots Cruella about to hit one of his siblings) But when danger comes a knockin'; (Lucky saves his sibling and gets out of the way) he's ready for nose popping!"

Lucky and his friends then do their own individual poses with Lucky doing a peace sign, Patch giving a cheerful smile, Two-tone giving a friendly wave, and Rolly patting his stomach. "He's ready to get through the strife, (Lucky and his friends are seen spotting something in the distance) in his new Gruetly Bay Farm, Life!" The screen blows up with it then showing Lucky playing his guitar as Roxie sways her head to the beat, all the meanwhile Lucky was trying to think of what the perfect song he could write to play for others to hear should be about.

Lucky was on his way to Roxie's house with his guitar as he spoke to Patch on his phone with excitement. "Yes, I know we've been hanging out with her frequently already Patch, but I can't help it if I get more and more excited about what could happen with us when it happens." Lucky arrived at the door and remembered something and went around when he finished the call. "Anyway, I'm gonna get her now. See ya later dude." Lucky hung up and arrived at Roxie's bedroom window, and she was shown to be studying when he opened it. She looked sad, and bored. "Hey Roxie!"

Roxie was a little surprised, but smiled when she heard Lucky's voice and set her pencil down when she saw him. "Hey Lucky. What're you doing here?"

"Duh, I'm inviting you to hang out with us again." Lucky informed Roxie bluntly, and then he saw what she was doing and became intrigued. "Can I come in?"

"It's a free country dude." Roxie responded, and Lucky happily climbed in and got a look at what she was looking at. It looked like some kind of doctor related stuff, and Roxie sighed as she explained what it was. "I'm studying to become a doctor. As my parents would say, it's never too early to prepare."

Lucky looked at Roxie's studies, and then noticed a schedule next to her and saw that it was about time for her 'after breakfast studying' to stop. Acting on impulse, he slammed Roxie's book shut and let her know about their plans. "Not to disrespect your family, but I have a saying too. It's called work and fun can always coexist!"

Lucky pulled Roxie out of her chair, leaving her to stop him as she tried to explain why she couldn't leave just yet. "Not that I don't wanna hang out with you Lucky, but I can't just leave without saying goodbye."

Lucky saw Roxie's point and let go of her and chuckled nervously as she wiped her arm to avoid any noticeable pull stains. "Right. That makes sense."

"I'll meet you outside." Roxie informed Lucky, and then he went out the window with Roxie leaving her room to go find her parents.

Roxie went into the living room to find a fancy looking Red Heeler sipping a cup of coffee at the dining table. "Don't think I didn't hear you talking to that 'Lucky' friend of yours."

Roxie flinched and tried to think of a good lie to hide what she was actually doing on that day, whatever it may be. "He just came for our visit to the library." Roxie started to give a nervous smile as her mother raised an eyebrow, leaving Roxie to hope she would buy it. "That's all we're doing. Nothing that avoids my studies."

Roxie's mother didn't see any reason not to believe her, sipping her coffee before she reminded Roxie of her curfew. "Don't forget to come home for lunch. Your father and sister will be back in two hours."

"Right. Got it." Roxie walked over to the front door, and she sighed of relief right before she went onto her front porch, where Lucky was waiting for her. "Okay. I think she bought it. Let's rock." Lucky nodded with excitement and ran off with Roxie as the two of them thought about how much fun they'd have.

Lucky and Roxie were heading over to the barn to meet up with their friends in the Dalmatians' main bedroom. Lucky was curious about something on the way over there and hoped Roxie wouldn't mind talking about it. "So... why do you lie to your parents about where you go whenever we hang out?"

Lucky wasn't sure how to answer that, since she didn't want to hurt Lucky's feelings. She knew about his struggles, and she didn't want him to overthink what he was to her negatively. "It's complicated Lucky. I may not have a family as big as yours, but it comes with it's own set of struggles."

Lucky was tempted to pry, just to see if Roxie was okay. However, he decided to wait to avoid making things awkward. The two of them climbed up the ladder to find the others waiting for them with Patch hi fiving Lucky when they walked over to them. "Glad you two could finally join us."

Once Lucky and Roxie sat down, Roxie was quick to ask what the group wanted to do first. "So, since today is a chill day and all, what do you guys wanna do first?"

"Well I brought my guitar to your house for a reason." Lucky reminded Roxie, and the group listened to what he had to say. "I wanna write a new song about the Bark Brigade to share after we took that big test coming up. I was hoping you guys wouldn't mind letting me come up with the lyrics."

"A song would be the perfect way to lift everyone's spirits!" Two-tone chimed in, being more than ready to help Lucky with whatever he needed. "Just let us know when you reach a point in the song you struggle with Lucky."

"Just remember that I'd struggle the most with whatever parts about exercising there are in there." Rolly reminded Lucky, patting his belly playfully to time his comment right.

The others laughed at Rolly's joke with Lucky getting started on talking about his song idea once the laughter died down. "I was thinking that we could started it off with something about the Bark Brigade everyone's already familiar with."

Two hours later, Lucky and the others were still working on the song with Patch bringing up a new lyric idea. "What if some of your lyrics were about the triumph we'd feel after succeeding in a mission? That sounds like something they'd wanna feel when hearing Bark Brigade music."

Lucky thought about that for a moment and took a liking to it, wondering how exact lyrics like that would go. "That could work. Just gotta figure out how exactly I'm gonna fit that into the song."

Roxie suddenly felt anxious about the time and looked at her phone to figure out why. She realized that it was about that time her father and sister got back for lunch. She knew her mother wasn't going to be happy about this. "Oh no, it's lunchtime! My mom is gonna kill me!"

"Why would she wanna do that?" Lucky asked, laughing a bit as he pointed out how much of an overreaction that would be. "That'd fit more for being late to her funeral."

"Okay, I'm definitely not late to her funeral." Roxie assured Lucky, hoping he wouldn't mind the sudden exit she had to make. "My parents just really hate anything being out of line." Roxie then rushed off, hoping the others wouldn't be bothered by it. "Later guys!"

After Roxie slid down the ladder, Two-tone had to ask what Lucky was thinking with that comparison. "Seriously? Comparing lunch to a funeral?"

"It's the first thing I could think of." Lucky responded while shrugging, turning on the Tv so he and the others could find something to watch. "Still, I wish I knew why her parents would be so anxious about being a few minutes late to lunch. It doesn't seem like anything worth getting worked up over."

"Maybe they're perfectionists?" Patch suggested, and Lucky felt that might've been it. Perfectionists were very picky with how things went down.

Roxie was rushing home in a desperate attempt to not anger her parents as she zoned in on her house. When she came in through the front door, she instantly started making her cover up story. "I'm so sorry I'm late; that visit to the hospital took longer than I thought it would and we drove as fast as we could once we realized I was late."

Roxie sat down next to her younger sister, who was revealed to be a red heeler herself. She seemed worried about how Roxie was feeling, hoping she wasn't in danger. She quickly made sure that wasn't the case with her parents. "Roxie's not in trouble, is she mum?"

"No Olivia, she's fine this time." Roxie's mother assured Olivia, and then she gave Roxie a stern warning for next time. "Just make sure you aren't late next time."

"Yep; no problem." Roxie assured her mother, being relieved that her cover up story worked out. She then noticed that her father, who was also a blue heeler, had his paws invested in his workbook. She hoped asking about why wouldn't hurt. "Dad, why're you working during lunch again?"

"Is that even a question that needs to be asked Roxie?" The father asked, being incredibly annoyed with how she thought that was worth asking. "If I stop working now, then I'll fall behind. Just like YOU'LL fall behind in your studies if you slack off."

Roxie felt a bigger weight on her shoulders as she heard that. She wished she knew why her parents put so much pressure on her to succeed. They could've at least picked something she was interested in. "Right." Roxie decided to start eating her grilled cheese instead, deciding to get the food into her belly before it went cold.

Later that night, Roxie was in her room as the clock got close to eight o clock, and she was in the middle of another studying session. This time, she was listening to some kind of MP3 player, and she was having a better time studying as she did. She was finding it a little harder to focus with how much she loved the song though. She started tapping her pencil on her desk at one point, matching the beat of her song to a tee. It was a rock song too, so a lot of tapping was to be expected. She then started jamming out to how much she loved the song.

Roxie's mother then entered the room and caught her jamming out, shouting to get her attention. "Roxie!"

Roxie flinched and paused her song before taking her earbuds off, setting her MP3 player in her desk as she spoke up. "I swear I'm studying mom! Or at least trying to."

"Trying alone won't get you to become successful Roxie." Roxie's mother informed her, clearly wanting her to focus more on her studies than with music. "It's almost bedtime now, but when you're studying tomorrow morning, I don't want to see any distractions. Do I make myself clear?"

Roxie sighed as she tried to hide how annoyed she was getting. She knew she didn't have any power over her mother's tyranny. "You're the boss." Roxie's mother then closed the door in a hurry due to getting a business call as she tried to say goodnight to her. "Goodnight mom; love-" Once the door closed however, Roxie gave up and sighed in frustration. She went over to her bed lied down, wishing she had what it took to take off with her actual passion. "Someday Roxie. Someday." As Roxie started getting ready for bed, she thought about how life would go when she got older.

The next day, Roxie was eating breakfast with her family... or at least waiting for the chance to do so. Her mom was in the middle of another business call, and she was starting to get tired of waiting. Olivia was getting tired of waiting too, and was starting to feel her stomach growling harshly. Their father was getting the most impatient and told his wife to finish up. "Gosh darn it woman; finish your stupid call already!"

This started an argument between the two as the mother abruptly ended her call, and Roxie quickly darted her attention to Olivia. "Quick. Gobble it down as fast as you can, then come with me." Olivia nodded in response, and she and Roxie quickly ate their food, glad that their parents were too busy arguing to pay attention. After the two got done with their food, they quickly went over to the sink and put their dishes in. The sisters then darted off to the door, heading out before their parents could see them. Roxie then sighed of relief. "In and out, am I right?"

Olivia giggled a bit as she then hopped up onto Roxie's back after she offered her a piggyback ride. Roxie started walking off to where Lucky and the others were most likely at. Olivia was a little shake up from the fight, and hoped that this wouldn't lead to anything bad. "Roxie? Are mommy and daddy gonna be okay when we get home?"

Roxie wasn't entirely sure how she could answer that one. The arguing never did go too far beyond belief, but she knew it could erupt further than normal at any given moment. "I'm not sure Olivia. Let's just hope for the best." Roxie continued to head off to where her friends were. If there was one thing she was confident in, it was that Olivia would get along great with them.

Roxie and Olivia were on their way to the barn with Olivia getting a good look inside once they headed for the entrance. She then became curious as to what Roxie's friends were all about when they went into the barn. "Hey Roxie. What are your friends like?"

Roxie instantly started thinking of Lucky when Olivia asked that, getting engrossed in everything about him. "Lucky's got pretty much every trait you would want in a leader. He's headstrong, determined, kind, knows how to have fun," Roxie started to get a little carried away with Olivia taking notice and walking over to a nearby milk pail. "offers support in any way he can, can seriously kick butt, loves music like me-" Olivia splashed Roxie with the milk and snapped her out of her trance. Roxie wiped the milk from her eyes when she realized what she did. "Thanks Olivia."

"You're welcome." Olivia set the pail back from where she found it and commented on how much Roxie liked Lucky in particular. "You sure do have a lot to say about Lucky."

"He's the one I've interacted with the most so far." Roxie explained, wishing she knew why she went into that sudden trance there. She decided to talk about the others to avoid any suspicion. "As for the others, Patch is super cheerful and is kind of a creative geek, Two-tone is really sweet and mature, as well as a great listener, and Rolly's kind of a dunce, but he's also a nice guy who knows how to laugh at himself."

Olivia hopped back onto Roxie's back and spoke up about her friends as they went for the ladder. "It must be nice having friends like that who care about your love for music."

Roxie couldn't help but smile in response to that as she started climbing up the ladder. What Olivia just said was as true as the truth could get. Once the sisters went up the ladder, Roxie greeted Lucky and the others, who were at the couch once again. "Hey guys. I hope you don't mind, but I brought my sister with me today."

Lucky was in the zone with a video game level he was on, and Patch filled Olivia in on what this was all about. "Lucky really gets into it when he's doing a hard video game challenge. It's best to wait until he's done to start talking to him directly."

Lucky finished the challenge after a few seconds after that explanation and pumped his fist with joy. "Yes! Eat that Pepper-Cooker! Enjoy that zero star rating!" Lucky cheered for his victory as he turned around, and then he noticed that Roxie was there with Olivia. He started to get a little nervous upon seeing Roxie and chuckled a bit as he spoke up when walking up to her. "Oh, hey there Roxie. I um... didn't hear you come in."

"I can imagine with how that game was for you." Roxie admitted, and then she sat down gently to let Olivia get off of her back. Once Olivia was down, Roxie happily introduced her to the others. "Guys, this is my little sister Olivia. If you're wondering why she's red, she gets that from our mom."

Lucky greeted Olivia first, offering her a fist bump, which she accepted, since she was familiar with them thanks to Roxie. "You like video games Olivia?"

Olivia got a look at the game Lucky was playing. It was an indie 2d platformer game called Forky. Olivia had to admit that she wasn't too familiar with them. "I've seen Roxie play them a couple times. I haven't played any myself."

"Then you do NOT wanna start with Forky." Lucky warned Olivia, knowing that this game would be torture for a beginner. "I could barely bring myself to finish the final boss of the DLC that recently came out."

Olivia kept that in mind, and Patch then chimed in to introduce himself with a paw shake for her. "My name's Patch. The pup right next to me is Lucky. He's kind of a gaming wizard."

Lucky scoffed before instantly correcting Patch on the term he just used. "More like a gaming King. Every difficulty in Phantom Souls III, main game, AND DLC, defeated."

Two-tone decided to go ahead and introduce herself so this conversation wouldn't consist solely of Lucky boasting about his gaming accomplishments. "I'm Two-tone. Lucky's the leader of the group, but I'm more likely going to be the one juggling the others around to keep them all in check."

"Not ALL of us." Rolly chimed in, hopping down to the couch cushion to introduce himself to Olivia. "My name's Rolly. And I also avoid needing to be juggled around."

Olivia found Lucky and the others to be very warm and welcoming, and Patch then became curious as to why Roxie brought Olivia today. "Not that I mind Olivia being here Roxie, but what made you decide to bring her over today?"

Before Olivia could talk, Roxie covered her mouth and came up with an excuse to avoid getting the others involved. "No special reason. I just... thought you guys wanted to see more of my family. I know I don't bring up my parents much, so I thought bringing Olivia along would be a good start for that."

Lucky couldn't help but think something was off, and the others were also a little suspicious about this behavior. Lucky decided to save that for later however, and Olivia moved Roxie's paw as he spoke up happily. "As long as she knows how to have fun, I'm all for it. And if she's not in denial about the gross stuff in the world."

"Trust me. Both of those are accounted for." Roxie assured Lucky, knowing that hanging out with him wasn't always an easy task.

Lucky and the others were playing at Hiccup Hole as Roxie was helping Olivia learn how to swim. Olivia tapped the water gently, and Roxie then gave her instructions on what to do after she quickly pulled it back out. "Just get into the water and do a doggie paddle, like this."

Roxie started demonstrating a doggie paddle with Olivia mimicking it herself. She then laughed a bit at the irony of the name. "Doggie paddle." Olivia hopped in and started doing the doggie paddle, barely managing to keep herself afloat as she did. "I'm doing it! (Pant) I'm swimming!"

Roxie helped Olivia stay afloat as she then gave her some advice on something not to do at Hiccup Hole. "And now that you've got the basic swimming mechanics you'll need memorized, there's one resident on Gruetly Farm you should avoid as much as you can." Olivia looked to where Roxie was pointing with her thumb, and she saw Lucy there and quickly pointed out her attitude so Olivia knew not to get close. "That's Lucy. She's a total grouch, and she doesn't like kids. She actually tried to ban letting any of us come here after getting into an argument with Lucky."

"What!?" Olivia squealed in shock, and when she started to struggle from it, Roxie quickly grabbed her and brought her back to shore. "That's crazy!"

"I know, right?" Roxie looked over to where Lucy was and saw that she wasn't paying attention. "Just keep your distance from her. As long as she stays over there, away from us, and we don't go near her, we should be okay." Olivia nodded as she took note of that. The last thing she wanted to do was ruin the fun for Roxie and the others. And herself of course.

Lucky was currently trying to think of song lyrics near the pond, and Patch could tell that he was struggling. He sat down next to him as he checked on him to see if he could help. "Still struggling to find the right lyrics?"

Lucky had to admit, there was more on his mind than that. Maybe that's why he couldn't think straight with his song. "Not exactly." Lucky hoped Patch wouldn't find it weird when he told him what was on his mind. "I just can't get what Roxie said yesterday off my mind. Is her mum really that strict over when she arrives home for lunch?"

Patch could understand why Lucky was stuck on that. After all, he was well aware of his crush on Roxie. "The way she worded it was a little alarming." Patch watched Roxie and Olivia playing in the pond, pointing it out to Lucky, who was also observing their behavior. "She seems to get along with Olivia fine enough."

"Yeah, but she's Roxie's sister. Her younger sister at that." Lucky pointed out, finding it hard to believe Olivia would have any power over Roxie. "And it's clearly that mentor and student role with the two of them." Lucky then expressed how worried he was about how Roxie would react if he asked about this. "I wanna ask and see if I can help Roxie with... whatever's going on, but if I do, then she might hate me and want me to stay away from her after the fact?"

"I don't think it'd go THAT far." Patch assured Lucky, knowing that he and Roxie were close enough to have an understanding about this. "Just try not to do your usual things that could turn people off. Go in casually, and remember to listen if she needs to vent."

"I know how to talk to a girl Patch." Lucky told Patch with annoyance, and Patch put his paws up; not as a means of defense, but to let Lucky know he was done. Lucky then calmed down as he expressed concern again. "You really think she'll take it in a way that doesn't blow up in my face?"

Patch nodded his head yes, and then he patted Lucky's back to let him know he was there for him. "Just do the best you can to understand her. You've been doing that pretty well already too, so it shouldn't be too hard."

Lucky smiled and fist bumped Patch for thanks, and then he swam over to Roxie, who was on the other side of where he was sitting. "Hey Roxie. Can we talk? In private?"

Roxie looked at Olivia, who nodded in response to let her know it was okay. "Sure; no problem." Lucky and Roxie headed off to a more private part of the area near Hiccup Hole. Once they were about a ten feet away from the others, Roxie spoke up. "So what'd you wanna talk about?"

Lucky was incredibly nervous about how he would be handling this. He'd never gotten involved in someone else's family life before. "Well... it's just that, yesterday was... I mean..." Roxie was starting to catch onto what Lucky was getting at and sighed with worry in her eyes. "I tried to-"

"It's about my family life, isn't it."

"Yes, it is; I'm sorry! I'm not trying to be a burden!"

"Whoa, take it easy." Lucky's face after that plead told Roxie that he wasn't used to doing something like this. "I'm not mad at you. I just don't like talking about what I deal with back home is all."

Lucky was surprised to see Roxie being so understanding with this. He was always worried that butting into someone else's life would get him scorned by them for life. "You mean you don't hate me?" Roxie couldn't help bursting into laughter with that one, which confused Lucky. He started to get annoyed after a couple seconds. "Well I think the thought of someone hating me is pretty frightening. And not just for my hot butt and general fun nature."

Roxie stopped laughing and wiped the laughing tears from her eyes as she told Lucky that he was okay. "Lucky, you're easily my favorite of the Dearly family from the short time we've known each other. I doubt I'd hate you for something like this." Lucky was relieved to hear that, and Roxie then made it quick to avoid anymore conflict. "Look dude. I don't like talking about this, but my mom is super strict and doesn't like it when I do anything other than study." The things Roxie's dad did were harder to talk about. "And my dad is... less than perfect."

Lucky noticed Roxie's tone change on that last one and started to get even more worried. "Do we... do we have to call the cops?"

"Nope, no way, no cops!" Roxie assured Lucky, hoping that would help things. She at least wanted to bare through this for Olivia's sake. "Actually, one of my concerns is that I'll never be able to express what I really wanna do."

Lucky became curious about what that was, and since it wasn't about anything serious, he felt more confident in asking about it. "And what would that be?"

Roxie smiled in response to that, and she looked to Lucky as she told him. "Well, like you, I'm super into music. But I don't have any instruments of my own."

"I could help with that." Lucky offered, feeling that Roxie would have a blast with an instrument of her own. "I've always got some allowance to spare. And maybe Patch and I could make some more cash when we start making more comics to sell on the farm." Roxie appreciated that. She was glad she could trust Lucky.

Roxie was getting ready to head home with Olivia for the day, and as she did, she heard Two-tone's voice nearby. "Hey Roxie." Roxie and Olivia looked to see Two-tone walking up to them, and she seemed interested as to what Lucky and Roxie were talking about. "I don't wanna be nosy, but I noticed Lucky took you to talk alone earlier. I hope he didn't make things too awkward. He's not really used to one on one chats outside of the family."

"No, he was fine." Roxie assured Two-tone, being too fond of Lucky to find him annoying for worrying about her. She didn't wanna let Two-tone know until she was ready to speak up about it however. She decided to keep the subject on Lucky. "Speaking of Lucky, have you guys learned why he has his struggles with stuff like that?"

"Not yet. We're trying though." Two-tone assured Roxie, opening up about how she felt regarding Lucky's possible condition. "Believe it or not, he used to be afraid of socializing with others outside the family too. It took me, Patch, Rolly, and our parents' support to help him overcome that." Roxie was surprised to hear that since what she knew about Lucky contradicted it. He seemed so confident when talking to others. "And I'll just say it's a good thing he was with you during that rock show."

Roxie didn't know what Two-tone meant by that, but she was glad to see more proof that Lucky had a supportive family. She just wished she could have a family like his, even if she didn't mean with ninety nine puppies. "At least he has you guys."

"We try as much as we can." Two-tone assured Roxie, and then she decided to ask what exactly Lucky and Roxie were talking about. "Was your conversation related to some kind of family related thing?"

"You could say that." Roxie answered, and then she realized how late it was getting and let Olivia hop onto her back. "Anyway, I should be heading home now. See ya later Two-tone."

"Same to you Roxie." Two-tone responded as the two headed off in their own directions. Roxie showed some sorrow as she walked on home. She only wished she could have a family that was as supportive as the one Lucky had.

Lucky and Roxie were laying on their beds while talking over their phones about what they could do for their next music session. Lucky was particularly excited, and he was getting to know what Roxie specialized in when it came to music. "It would be nice to hear you sing. Any instruments you're good at playing?"

Roxie thought for a moment and realized she hadn't really invested a lot of time in a specific instrument. "No, I don't think so. I'll have to look into what instruments I can play."

"Just pick the instrument that speaks to you the most." Lucky advised Roxie, and he looked to his guitar as he finished his reasoning. "That's what I learned when I first picked up my guitar."

Roxie liked that, deciding to see what kinds of instruments she could get for herself. Without telling her parents anyway. "That makes total sense. I'll see what I can find."

"Sounds good." Lucky then got an idea that he hoped Roxie would be up for. "Hey! Maybe you can join me for when I sing for the Bark Brigade!" Roxie looked worried when hearing that, loving the idea, but not wanting her parents to see her doing stuff other than studying late at night. "It'd be totally awesome to perform a duet together."

Roxie did love the idea however, and she felt it was at least worth considering. And she didn't want to hurt Lucky's feelings for no reason. "That could be fun. (Lucky beams) I'll have to memorize the finished product before we do this, just so in case I sing too."

Lucky took note of that, loving the idea of him and Roxie performing together. "Whatever it takes to make this the best first duet ever!" Roxie started to think about how close she was with Lucky, and how much she wanted to spend more time with him. Along with Olivia, she had way more fun with him than she could ever dream of having with her parents. He didn't tell her what to do, or how to do things. He seemed supportive of whatever she wanted. She went so deep into thought about it as well, that she forgot she was on the line. "Hello? Roxie?"

Roxie flinched when she realized she was still on the phone and quickly apologized for leaving Lucky hanging for a brief moment. "Sorry Lucky. Just got lost in thought for a moment." Roxie then realized that it was getting late and felt it was appropriate to end the call there. "It's getting pretty late. Maybe we should get to bed for now."

"Yeah, no reason to waste our time getting Insomnia." Lucky laughed a bit at his joke before saying goodbye to Roxie. "Well anyway, see ya tomorrow Roxie."

"You too Lucky." Roxie hung up at the same time as Lucky, and then she started to think about him again. She thought about how much he supported her, and how much she wanted to pursue her dream of music. Even though he'd only just learned about it, she felt that with his help, she could get closer to getting a happy future. "Maybe... maybe it'll be possible. One day." Roxie then got tucked into her covers, going to sleep peacefully as the screen faded to black, ending the episode off.

An instrumental version of the main theme played during the credits.
