A/N: So I see a common question, so I think I'll address it in this one in the next chapter, the one about Callie's age. I'm not really sure why everyone is so curious about it, or maybe I just don't see it. So, instead of answering it in my note, I decided to integrate it. It just doesn't come out organically in this one so, yeah, let's wait for the next one.

Once again, thank you for reviewing!

Here you go, enjoy!

Chapter 3

Arizona Robbins could tell that the Marine was definitely having an effect on her, but she wasn't exactly sure what it was. Should she literally run out of the room? Should she be avoiding her? It made sense, they had been playfully flirting and then Arizona let all of her fears get in the way and ruin it and now it was all awkward between them, or at least it was for the blonde. She thought that she could get away with ignoring her action, but damn, hearing Callie call her 'Sugar lips' just did things to her that no woman ever had.

Arizona needed to step out. She was not used to this. She needed to breathe, to think, to take a moment, but then Callie would waltz into the room, whisper something dirty into her ear and undo everything she had thought of.

She liked having Callie around the house, the brunette was the reason her father was talking again, her mom had started smiling and Danny? It was nice watching him getting whooped by his Captain. But like all good things, soon enough, before she knew it, it was memorial day Sunday, or the day before both Danny and Callie had to leave for their 'jobs'.

She hated this, she hated being used to someone, only to have them disappear. But she had to make do with it. But then again, that didn't mean that she couldn't be angry about it.

Which is why, she stayed as far away from the Captain as possible, it was easy to do with all these strangers in her house for the party. But then she would catch Callie looking at her from her far with those brown eyes peering into her soul like it belonged to her. She absolutely hated being so far away from Callie, but she had too. She was going to miss the way the brunette flirted, the way her eyes looked like she wanted to devour her whole. She missed being the center of her world or at least being looked at that way.

The Robbins were having a party and when the Robbins had a party they went all out. They were a defense family after all. Growing up, it almost felt like Christmas. They had busted out the grill, beers and had all the snacks laid out for everyone to enjoy. With the Colonel being the Colonel, a lot of his friends had come over. The men decided to throw a football around, at the beach that was connected to their house.

Earlier she had caught a glimpse of Callie taking a dip in the water. That black bikini against that tan skin had her drooling for more. Her wet hair was thrown back as she walked on the sand and back to the shore. Callie might have been wet but her throat was drier than the Sahara desert.

Seeing that Arizona was all alone, Callie thought that right now was the perfect time to talk to her so she made her way over to the blonde.

"Did Sargent Robbins leave you to do the grilling?" The brunette asked as she watched her flipping burgers, or trying to at least.

Arizona looked up before smiling at her. Almost mentally slapping herself for having that reaction for the Latina. "I thought I'd help mom. Lately all I have been hearing is can't you be a little like Callie? She helps out and she does this and that," she said.

"Do you even know what you are doing?" The Captain asked as she folded her arms.

"Not a clue. I thought if I stayed here long enough, mom would actually be proud of me."

"And this isn't your way of avoiding me?"

"Nope!"

Callie stepped behind the blonde taking the spatula with one hand while the other she kept on Arizona's stomach pulling her against her as she perfectly flipped a burger patty.

"I hate being lied to Sugar lips."

Arizona thought that she had forgotten how to breathe having the brunette so close to her with her back against the Captain's front. With every breath she took she could feel the slight contact Callie's lips made to the shell of her outer ear.

The blonde gathered all the courage she could.

"I'm assuming the 'I'm going to fuck you' has always worked for you, but you should quit while you are ahead."

Callie put the spatula to the side before turning Arizona to face her.

"Miss. Robbins, you and I both know that we are attracted to each other, should you be so crude and call it 'fucking'?"

Arizona crossed her arms, loving the interaction between them. "Then what are you doing? Making love? The art of seduction? Or exploring our sensuality? Does that work better for you? And besides, are you done trying to figure out what will get you into my pants? Is that why you keep following me around the house? Is that why you are here?"

The Captain walked over to the ice chest and got two drinks out. "Has being sober made you so cranky? Then here you go, drink," she said as she offered her the beer bottle.

"Unbelievable," the blonde said as she threw her arms in the air and turned to walk away. Before she could get too far, she felt a hand on her wrist pulling her. Callie spun her around and placed her palms on her waist.

"I'm here because you looked a bit lonely, maybe a bit out of place with all these Marines hanging out in your house. I don't need to figure out what will get me into your pants, because if I wanted to, I would have already gotten into them. But seeing you frustrated is much more fun. And let's face it, it's not me who has been following you around the house."

Callie took one hand off of her waist to grab her own drink before twisting the bottle cap off with her teeth and putting it on Arizona's lips.

"Drink." But this time her tone was very polite, but the intensity of her eyes seemed to be something that she had never seen.

The blonde obliged by taking a small sip before she watched Callie taking a sip through the same bottle. "Sugar lips," she whispered before taking a longer sip.

Callie tended to the grill as she got the burgers out and put it on a plate. "Are you ready to tell me why you're pushing me away or are you not done pretending that you are not attracted to me?"

"I am not attracted to you."

Callie put on fresh patties on the grill and decided to ignore what the blonde said. "What's bothering you Sugar lips? Talk to me." she said.

"I don't know, I just- I, this!" She gestured between the two of them. "This cannot happen!"

"I like to think otherwise."

"Callie, it's not as easy as you think. There are things that are beyond our control-" Arizona tried to explain.

"All the more reason for me to drag you down to the basement and let things get out of control."

"Callie, you are not listening to me?" She said as she walked away and sat down by the chair.

The Captain stopped flipping patties and walked over to Arizona and took a seat beside her "What's got you scared Sugar lips?"

Arizona took a deep breath. "I don't know if you know this, but we had an older brother Tim, he was- um he died on duty. After that I just, I can't take another loss," Arizona tried to explain.

"And how does that apply to our situation?" she asked.

"If we start dating and then when I become attached to you then if you died, I wouldn't be able to take it. It's too much." The blonde said as she took her head in her hands.

"Those are too many possibilities. I was just having fun, playfully flirting with you knowing how easy it is to get under your skin. That was all that was," she said "No dating, no relationships and least of all, me dying. That is not a possibility."

Arizona laughed.

"So can we go back to whatever we were doing?"

"You, making me feel uncomfortable?" The blonde asked.

This time Callie chuckled.

"Well that depends, are you into bondage?" Arizona almost spat out her beer before she smiled. "God that smile, it's going to be the death of me someday." The minute that sentence left her mouth the blonde's smile disappeared from her face. "Poor choice of words, that's on me." She apologized. "Do you want to go join them?"

"Sure," she replied as the two of them took off towards the water.

The afternoon was filled with splashing water on each other, laughter and all in all a perfect time for the two of them. At that moment, Arizona didn't miss her brother as much as she used to, she hadn't smiled like that since Tim died and Callie was the reason for it. At the same time, the brunette didn't miss her family much, she didn't think about her duties to the Marines but just shamelessly flirting with Arizona.

Soon enough, the night died down as Danny, Callie and Arizona were on the porch swing with a blanket covering them, keeping them warm.

Unbeknownst to Danny, Arizona had pretty much squeezed herself between the side of the chair and Callie. She had tangled her legs with hers as her hands rested on the taut stomach of the Captain, going over and over the ridges of her abs.

"Alright ladies, I'm pretty beat, I'm going to my room now. Captain?"

"For the last time Sargent Robbins, you are home you don't need to be dismissed. But yeah sure, dismissed," she said as she watched him leave.

As soon as Danny was gone Callie snuggled in closer to Arizona.

"That's really hot you know."

"Hmm?" Callie asked, taking a final sip of her beer.

"You, ordering him around."

The brunette raised her eyebrow "Oh really, you aren't jealous that he gets bossed around and not you?"

"Me and jealous? He's my stupid older brother, I have nothing to fear from him."

"Oh do you? You think you have a stronger game than him, Miss Robbins?"

Arizona rolled her eyes at that, no matter how much she insisted Callie just wouldn't stop calling her Miss Robbins.

"You're cuddling with me aren't you?"

Callie laughed. "That… is true."

They sat there in silence as the stars took over the sky, sometimes flirting, sometimes just snuggling closer to each other, playfully touching each other.

The Captain checked her watch, it was four am, or well two hours before she had to leave. "I better get to bed."

"Do you have to?" Arizona grumbled.

Callie didn't reply, she didn't want to bring down the joy in the air by talking about going back, so she simply leaned in and kissed her on her cheek.

"I haven't dismissed you yet!"

"Is that right Miss Robbins? I need to take orders from you?"

"My house, my rules!"

"If it were your rules, you would have already marked me with those gorgeous lips."

Arizona gulped. "Do you like not need time to recharge? It's four am and how are you still so flirtatious?"

"It's not me, it's my muse sitting in front of me." Callie said as she tucked the blonde hair behind Arizona's ear. "You're tired, stop fighting it."

"Yeah yeah, I'm going to bed too," she said as she too got up from the chair.

"Good night Miss Robbins."

"Good night Captain!" Arizona called out before heading towards her room.

Callie made her way down to the basement. She had already packed but she couldn't seem to find one of her hoodies. It wasn't like it was special to her other than the fact that it was too comfortable, but whatever.

The Robbins had a TV in the basement, so maybe she could watch some news before she fell asleep, but what good would an hour long nap do? She could always sleep on the plane. Callie got up to find the remote when there was a knock on the door.

It was her old habit to lock her door, so she quickly unlocked it to find Arizona on the other side of the door.

"Drink," she said as she handed the glass to her, reminding her of what Callie did to her the time they first met.

Callie pulled her into the room before pushing her back onto the wall next to the door.

"Miss Robbins?"

"Hmm."

"Tell me that you didn't come here just to give me water," Callie said.

She could see Arizona swallowing the lump that had formed in her throat.

"I-I didn't."

"I'm trying so hard to not let my feelings take over, to let you go Miss Robbins, but you keep on coming back."

"You leave tomorrow," Arizona said as she pulled her head towards her causing their foreheads to touch. The shaved slides of the Captain's hair were slightly poking her fingers, which just added to how turned on she felt.

"I do." she whispered against her forehead.

"I don't know when I'll see you next," she said and in her head she said, she doesn't even know if she'll be seeing her.

"You told me never to come back here so I wasn't planning on seeing you."

Arizona wasn't sure how to react to that. Callie was just going to leave her. Somehow, she felt dumped when she wasn't even dumped or well together.

The blonde recoiled. "You were just going to disappear?"

"I wasn't-"

"God Callie! You made my Dad laugh, Danny and Dad are finally talking, my Mom stopped crying all because of you and you're just going to leave me, leave us?"

Callie was really trying hard not to kiss her right there.

"You don't need me."

"You don't get to tell me that!" She yelled.

"Everything I touch gets tainted, you don't need me in your life. You are good people. Your father and mother have treated you like I was their own. So let's just leave it like this and keep the good with us."

"I need you Callie, I need you."

"You need to stop, or-"

"Or what?"

"Or-"

Callie couldn't answer as Arizona leaned up and crashed her lips against hers. She didn't want to hear whatever Callie wanted to tell her because it was pointless and simply not true. Soon enough, she felt Callie's tongue on her lips, she opened her mouth and let her tongue in. Immediately Callie sought domination over her as she felt her hands caressing her through her shirt.

This was the Callie she knew. The one who knew what she wanted and did everything she could to get it. She wasn't so sure about what Callie was scared off, but she was not going to let the Captain go without taking her. The sexual tension between them was thick and the blonde knew that her battery operated boyfriend or well BOB could never compete against Callie's skills. She needed her and she needed her right now.

The captain kissed her all the way down her neck before encouraging her to wrap her legs around her before pushing her harder into the way.

Callie looked up as she tore her lips away from that gorgeous skin. "You need to tell me to stop Miss. Robbins, that's the only way you can get out of here," Callie whispered as she started peppering kisses over her neck.

"I don't want you to stop."

"You sure?" Callie asked just to confirm.

"More than anything."

With that Callie hoisted her up and carried her to the bed. She didn't mean to slam her on it but it looked like Arizona liked it. She pulled Callie by her hair on top of her head as their lips met each other before she spread her legs accommodating the Latina between her thighs. She could already feel the brunette's hand getting a bit more adventures as it started caressing the skin under her shirt.

"Can I?" Callie asked.

The blonde wasn't sure what she was asking but she nodded nonetheless. She felt Callie pulling the cups of her bra away from her slightly before her fingertips flicked her nipples.

"Oh god!" Arizona moaned.

She couldn't help it as her back arched and she tried to rub herself on Callie's thigh.

"I want to touch you so badly Sugar lips," She moaned right into her ear.

This time instead of replying, the blonde took Callie's hand in her own and guided it down her pants.

The brunette couldn't believe how incredibly wet she was. Almost as if she had been wet when they were cuddling outside.

She parted her lips with her finger before her finger came in contact with her clit.

"Callie!"

"I told you you'd be screaming my name!" she said as she applied a bit more pleasure. "I want you to come." She demanded and within no time she was coming undone under the tan skin.

She had never felt so alive as she clutched the dark hair in her fingertips. Callie continued to kiss her neck as Arizona recovered from her orgasm. Never in her life had she come so hard and so fast and Callie hadn't even put her fingers inside of her. What was wrong with her? And why did the Captain have this effect on her.

"Your turn?" She asked as she tried to flip them over, but Callie had other things on her mind. She grabbed both of Arizona's arms and pinned her underneath her.

"I need to get you to come by fingers."

"You already did?"

Callie shook her head before she pushed a finger in.

Arizona gasped as the sensation was too much. She was already too sensitive from the orgasm she had just had. "I'm not done with you yet Sugar lips." she said as she started pumping her fingers into her.

"Oh Callie!" she moaned.

But the brunette simply added another finger into the mix and continued teasing her clit.

"I think, 'm gonna come."

"Sugar lips, I need you to see you come," she whispered in her ear. "Show me once again the effect my fingers have on your body, my lips on your skin. I want to see you lose everything."

It was a combination of Callie's actions, Callie's words or simply Callie but she was coming again, more violently then she had before. The Captain flipped them over so that a naked Arizona was lying on her chest. She then drew the thin sheet over them so that Arizona didn't get cold.

The brunette was drawing random circles on her skin while Arizona was still recovering from her orgasm.

"Are you okay?" She heard Callie whisper.

Such a complex sentence. Was Arizona Robbins okay? "Just about, why?"

Callie looked at her watch. "It's five am."

Suddenly the blonde understood what it meant. Their time was up.

"Will I see you again?" She asked.

"Yeah."

"When?"

Callie wasn't sure when she would get time off again. "I don't know."

"Will I see you?" Arizona asked nervously.

"Yeah."

"Are you lying to me?"

Callie picked up the hoodie she had been finding and threw it at the blonde. "There, now I kind of have to come back for it, Sugar Lips."

Arizona scoffed, she really hated that nickname.

Arizona grabbed the hoodie and put it on as she watched Callie packing a few last minute items.

"I umm, I have something to ask you. Can you do me a favor?"

"Sure, what is it?" She asked as she laced her boots.

"Can you keep Danny safe?" Before Callie could say anything she continued. "I know that he signed up for it, but can you watch out for him? I cannot lose him Callie, I just can't."

"I promise I wont let Danny do anything stupid. He might hate me for not letting him play a match of soccer, but it's worth it!"

Callie smiled.

"I'm serious!"

"Okay okay, fine. I'll watch out for him, you know it's kind of my job to watch out for my people."

Arizona tried to explain better.

"I know, but I meant it-"

"Keep him safe? Gotcha!" Callie was almost offended that she didn't say anything to her about being safe herself, but she decided to brush it off. They had known each other for a week and maybe the blonde was just playing hard to get with her, but she missed having someone look out for her. But now was not the time to let her guard down.

Arizona was about to tell her to be safe as well, but then Callie got up from the bed and put her backpack on her shoulder.

"I don't want to watch you leave."

"Turn around," Callie whispered.

Arizona faced the other side of the door. She felt the bed dip before she felt Callie placing a kiss on her forehead, then the next thing she heard was the basement door closing.

And with that Callie was gone.
