A bunch of Fic ideas that I had but don't plan on writing. Most are Naruto Fics but there are others in the mix. Each chapter will be a different Fic idea. All of them are up for adoption, the only thing that I ask in return is that you PM me if you write any of them so I can read it too! You don't even need to credit me lol.
WRONG SHINIGAMI
I got this idea yesterday night, while I was trying to sleep, but I know I won't be able to write a proper story out of it, so I am giving it to you.
First of all, this is a Naruto/Bleach crossover! Well, truth be told, I think many wouldn't even consider it a crossover, for there is only one character from Bleach that makes an appearance, and it is a very short one. Other than that, Naruto will get powers similar to those shown at Bleach (and one other character will have a technique from another anime. More about it in a bit), but there will not be Reiatsu. Instead, Naruto's abilities will be powered by Chakra. Why, you may ask? Well, I think it would be boring if Naruto had a power that no one could sense… Also, if he did have Reiatsu, he wouldn't have many opportunities to use his high Chakra reserves. Also(x2), Reiatsu is Spiritual Energy, right? And Chakra is the combination of Spiritual and Physical Energies, right? So, it would be redundant for Naruto to have Reiatsu, in my opinion.
Secondly; This will be a Naruto x Tenten! Tenten was the only one that came to my mind while I was maturing this idea and I like to think that I managed to come up with something that felt that their romance would be something natural. Now that this is out of the way, let's get to the core of the idea!
Everything up until Naruto's birth should be as close to canon as it can be. The only difference is that the Shiki Fuujin was never invented. Well, that is until Minato and Kushina did. The Forth Hokage had always been a cautious man and it was this trait of his that compelled him to develop the suicidal jutsu, with the help of Kushina, as a last resort. Of course, the jutsu had never been tested before the night that the couple was forced to seal the Kyuubi within their newborn son.
Minato and Kushina were expecting to see a creature akin to a horror movie's monster when they summoned the Shinigami, not an orange haired man, clad in black Shihakusho and with a giant sword on his back (Yep, that's Ichigo). The Shinigami had a void and dull look on his eyes and had several sealing arrays spread on his skin (Ichigo was, unknowingly, being controlled by the jutsu). Without saying a word to his summoners, the Shinigami took one of Kushina's chains, that were holding Kurama down, and shoved it into the Kyuubi's chest, who screamed in agony. Then, with a strong tug on the chain, the Shinigami opened a hole at the Bijuu's body (like a Hollow's hole, you know?) and, while howling in despair, Kurama's entire body was condensed at the tip of the chain that maimed him and transformed into guardless giant katana (looking almost the same as Zangetsu's Sealed form when Ichigo first got his Shinigami powers). The Shinigami took the "newborn" Zanpakuto and slowly sealed it into Naruto (which almost gave Kushina and Minato a heart attack, since Ichigo was, seemingly piercing Naruto's guts with a big ass sword). After that, the Shinigami walked up to the couple and poked their foreheads with the tip of the hilt of his Zanpakuto, sending their souls to Soul Society, and returned there himself just before anyone else witnessed the event.
Naruto's early life would be almost the same as it was in canon, with only one difference: Tenten! The girl was an orphan and lived at the same orphanage as Naruto. The two of them were best friends and partners in crime (pranks). They first met when the one-year-older girl proceeded to beat the crap out of a group of bullies that were picking on Naruto. Since then, they were inseparable! One day, though, Tenten was adopted… Naruto was happy for his friend, of course. But that didn't mean that he wasn't sad by it too. Soon after, Naruto became a bit blue, for "loosing" his best and only friend, and the other children took advantage of it. Naruto's bullies became more and more aggressive, to the point that the it got out of the hands of the orphanage's matron. The woman was forced to contact the Hokage, who she knew cared for the boy. It was at this occasion that Hiruzen gave Naruto an apartment. That meant, unfortunately, that, when Tenten managed to visit the orphanage to see her friend, she didn't find him (a misunderstanding, while overhearing some kids conversing, led Tenten to believe that Naruto was adopted too). And, by a trick from fate, the two never ran into each other while they were at the Academy (or the rest of Konoha, for that matter).
Like in canon, Naruto would struggle at the Academy and was tricked by Mizuki, after failing the Graduation Exams (which happened when Naruto was 15. Why? Well, that was Ichigo's age when he became Shinigami, so I thought it would be cool if Naruto, and the other rookies, had the same age at the start of his ninja career :v), to steal the Scroll of Seals. Differently from canon, though, Naruto never had the time to learn anything from the Scroll before Iruka and Mizuki arrived. The drama goes the same here but, instead of Kage Bushin, Naruto uses his "Shinigami" powers to defeat Mizuki.
Naruto awoke his powers after hearing Iruka's touching words. The boy jumped in front of his sensei and, out of instinct, reached into his guts and pulled a giant guardless katana from it. When the blade was produced, a huge amount of power surged from the boy and his pupils slitted (each Zanpakuto stage will change Naruto's appearance. The only thing that will change while fighting at this first and basic [Sealed] stage, though, is the shape of Naruto's pupils, which go back to normal once Naruto sheathes the Zanpakuto. By the way, a scabbard would be formed at Naruto's back when he produced the blade, so he could sheathe it when not using it. By the way(x2), this is Naruto's clothing: a regular Shihakusho, tied with the obi and everything; Anbu-style black pants (instead of those mega-loose pants that Bleach's Shinigami use), ninja-tool holsters tied to his legs and mid-shin high black shinobi sandals. And, obviously, his Zanpakuto sheathed at his back).
Unfortunately, for Naruto, this great power came with a great cost… When he slept, after defeating Mizuki and being promoted to Genin for it, Naruto met with the giant fox and Naruto's Yami/Hollow self in his dreams. Hollowyami Naruto would be powered by the Kyuubi and would fight Naruto all night long, trying to take over his body. After waking up, Naruto realized a few things: First; Time in his "dream" passed three times faster than real life's Time. Meaning that he fought for 24h on his Dream, since he slept for 8h. Second; All damage he suffered on his Dream was reproduced on his real body. This also meant that he kept all the gains he built while fighting. Third; even though he fought for 24h, and felt every bit of it as he woke up, Naruto didn't feel fatigued. Well, he did, but only until his body finished healing. After that, it was like the Dream had been just… a dream. Yep, he would exploit the hell out of the Dream, even if it was extremely dangerous (not that he had a choice, anyway).
After the Bell Test, it was clear to both Kakashi and Hiruzen that Naruto needed a proper kenjutsu teacher. So, the Hokage arranged for Naruto to take classes with Hayate, who was already teaching Tenten for a couple months, as a favor to Gai (while Tenten was an unmatched genius markswoman, she had little going on for her in close quarters combat, when she graduated. Of course, he trained her taijutsu, but the girl's affinity with weapons was unheard of and her talent needed to be polished by a true bukijutsu master, and Hayate was the right one for the job. Also, Hiruzen didn't know about Naruto and Tenten's friendship in the past, for he wasn't much present in the boy's life before he was out of the orphanage. It slipped the matron's mind telling the Hokage about it and Naruto was too sad about losing his friend to talk about it too. So, it wasn't intentional that Hiruzen reunited the both of them, but he was glad that he did, once he heard about it and how it made Naruto happy).
The reunion was… Intense… It took a while for Hayate to undo their tight hug and make them quit crying their hearts out. Of course, now that they met each other again, the best-friends would spend as much time as possible together, from training to simply hanging out on their days off. Of course, they would fall for each other, slowly and surely, and I think that after the Chunin Exams would be a good time for them to become official… But I am getting ahead of myself.
Hayate was very pleased with both his students. Tenten was an unmatched genius with everything that had to do with weapons, she lacked talent in genjutsu and ninjutsu, but none other shinobi (and I mean NONE OTHER) that came before her, was this good at her age, bukijutsu wise. And she got even more dedicated to her training when Naruto showed up. Speaking of Naruto: While he was nowhere near Tenten's genius, he certainly had talent for the art and his sheer power, speed and endurance was just barely enough to keep up with his best friend on kenjutsu spars. Hayate was thankful at the Hokage for designating Naruto to him, and at Gai for Tenten. It was really fun to teach the two of them and watch their interactions. Also, they were the perfect training partner for each other; Naruto had power while Tenten had finesse, and they pushed each other beyond their limits to cover their weaknesses and boost their strengths. I can also see the two of them practicing fuinjutsu together. In due time, Tenten would master two techniques that shall make her as feared and respected as Tsunade (yes, she is still a Tsunade "fangirl" lol). She started creating both techniques when she realized that one simple thing could change the winds of a battle: breathing!
The first technique is the filler variation of the Eight Gates: The Seven Heavenly Breaths. I don't remember how it works, but I like to think that it is a "nerffed" version of the Eight Gates, in terms of raw power, but, in exchange, it boosts the user's regeneration, instead of damaging the body. Or, maybe, it could be a nerffed version that simply doesn't hurt the body nearly as much? I don't know… Well, the second technique is a kenjutsu style that came straight from Demon Slayer: Kokyuu Hou! I would give Tenten a Breathing style based on her official Chakra affinity, but hers is unknown lol. So, I will give her Wind affinity because: One; It will allow her to train even more with Naruto. Two; It is a great affinity for a bukijutsu specialist such as herself. Three; It fits with all the breathing theme, you know? Wind, air, breathing, etc… That been said, we can say now that she will create the Wind Breathing (Kaze no Kokyuu. I just read that it has nine forms. Kurama approves!).
By the time of Wave Arc, Naruto learned his Zanpakuto's name (which is Kurama, obviously), after fighting it so much every night. He called for Kurama's Shikai (the chanting could be something like "Rampage, Kurama!" in english or "Arekuru, Kurama!" in japanese) during the battle with Haku, where he thought Sasuke was killed. Shikai Kurama's blade takes the shape of a tooth or a claw and becomes bone-white (think of something similar to Auron's blade, from Final Fantasy X, but made of Kurama's bones). It becomes a bit more condensed, compared to its sealed form, but remains guardless (the lack of tsuba, or guard, on this Zanpakuto is to represent both Kurama's aggressive nature and his lack of inclination to protect Naruto). Naruto's appearance also changes; His slitted eyes become blood-red, his whiskers become thicker, along with his canine teeth and nails, his blonde hair also gets a bit longer and wilder. In this form, it is possible to see Kurama's Chakra and its influence over Naruto's mind become greater by the minute. Though, even while fighting an extra battle against Kurama's hatred, Naruto manages to barely control it and fights Haku.
I will not enter in details about the plot anymore, I will just describe Naruto's transformations and when I think it would be cool to have them appear the first time.
I think it would take a while for Naruto to get a Bankai, for he would have trouble controlling both Kurama and Hollowyami Naruto. But all this struggle was rewarded with more power: a Vizard mask! Of course, it would appear slowly, piece by piece, each time giving Naruto more power but making it harder to control. By the time of his fight against Sasuke at the Retrieval Arc, the mask was already half completed and it was clear that it was the carving of a "hollowfied" fox. During the time-skip, Naruto's prime objective was to get hold of all his power while keeping Kurama's influence in check. When the mask was fully grown, Naruto lost control and almost killed Jiraiya. By the end of the three years, Naruto failed to have absolute control over his newest transformation, but had SOME control over it.
During Pain's attack on Konoha, Tenten was seemingly killed by the villain, when she jumped to save her love, Naruto. Naruto went nuts and unleashed something akin to Ichigo's Vasto Lord form. The form was, basically, Naruto in a "werefox" state, where orange and black fur grew from his body, nine tails could be seen at his lower back, his head transformed into a foxe's skull with rabbit-like ears that resembled a pair of horns, and his Zanpakuto "melted" and merged with his arms, giving him a pair of crude clawed bone gauntlets. His legs were very similar to Kurama's lower legs. He also had a hollow hole on his chest. Of course, he destroyed Pain with this, but only managed to get control back when a barely alive and healed Tenten hugged his rage out of him (FLUFF!).
Naruto's Bankai will appear during his training with Killer Bee on that island. There, Naruto will finally become one with Hollowyami Naruto and befriend Kurama. Jiyuu Kurama (Freed Kurama, or something like that. I GoogleTranslated it) is the Bankai's name and looks like a cross between canon KCM, Naruto's Vasto Lord form and Ichigo's Bankai. The most noticeable feature is a long sleeveless dark-orange cloak that goes all the way down his feet. From the waist and down, the cloak seems to be ragged and torn between nine sections, resembling Kurama's tails. It is closed at the front, like Ichigo's Bankai, and has a fluffy black collar, similar to Tobirama's. At its back there are also the drawing of nine black Magatamas and the whole cloak (all his clothing while in this form, for that matter) seems to be made out of Kurama's fur. Under the cloak there is a long-sleeved black shirt (also made out of fur) and black pants (also fur). Similar to his Vasto Lord form, the Bankai also substitutes a sword for "bone made" gloves/knuckles/claws. The difference now is that the appearance of it is much less wild and there are a pair of bone-made clawed boots to go with it. Finally, Naruto also wears his Vizard mask, but its appearance became a bit less aggressive. Oh, and I think there isn't much more to modify on his traits… Well, we could say that his whiskers become even more apparent and his hair grows a bit more (and, maybe, it becomes orange? I am not sure, it is just an idea)… His fight style changes to mimic a fox and there is no neon aura like the KCM does. The visual is much cleaner (of course, there are times where Naruto leaks out Kurama's chakra and uses it like he did in canon, but it is not as bright as KCM… It is the same red-orange hue that we all love).
Just a few more details: Keep in mind that Naruto would learn everything he did in canon, except the Kage Bunshin, along with his "Shinigami" powers (instead of Shunpo he learned and, eventually, mastered the Shunshin). Also, during his Wind Transformation training, I think it would be cool if he learned a few other things besides the Rasenshuriken (something similar to Cero or Getsuga Tensho, you know? I think it could fit the Wind theme). At the tip of the hilt of his Zanpakuto there is a paralysis seal, to substitute the one Shinigamis have to send souls away. Note that Naruto is NOT a Shinigami and doesn't leave his body to fight (remember that he still uses Chakra), that also means that he does NOT fly (well, if you want to go down that road, you can give him flying abilities once Hagoromo give him his hacks…). Naruto is the only one with powers like his and the Shiki Fuujin was lost with Minato and Kushina's death, no one besides the couple knew how to perform the jutsu. I think I buffed Tenten enough to make her relevant and her presence crucial and game-changing at important fights, but you are free to buff her even more lol. It would be wise, I think, to buff some other characters too… Since Naruto should be a lot stronger than his canon counterpart (from the beginning until the very end, in my opinion), some fights would be too easy for him if people remain with their canon strength (not to mention that Tenten will be a LOT stronger as well… Sorry, Temari lol).
