Impossible
Author's Note: Hey everyone and welcome back to Impossible! So, again at any time a dark theme could show up within any of the chapters. So, we are going pretty damn dark this chapter. Shanks' backstory will have one more chapter of him becoming a yonko before I'll move onto Mihawk's backstory. These got bigger than I had originally planned.

Chapter Four: The Future Yonko: "Red-Haired" Shanks
Chapter Summary: As Shanks returns back to the Grand Line, he encounters a part of the Whitebeard Pirates. When Marshal D. Teach manages to hit him, that night Shanks' life is changed forever. Shanks discovers he's pregnant again and heads back to the East Blue.
They had stayed within the East Blue for a while longer before Shanks had decided that it was time to return to the Grand Line. They could always come back later. He loved the East Blue. He was positive that they would come back at some point. With his new nakama in tow, they made their quick stop at Loguetown for some final supplies before they were heading back over Reverse Mountain and into the harsh waters of the Grand Line.
That's where he would stay for a while. Running into Mihawk again a lot sooner compared to when he was on the East Blue. Seeing his mate and his child together making his heart soar. It was always a good feeling whenever Mihawk was around. Seeing Mihawk and Ace interact together.
It made him feel complete.
Now, it was just to travel the world.

Shanks felt the smile slip onto his face as he felt the soft kiss pressed into his naked shoulder, he exhaled sharply, stretching his arms as he turned his head to see Mihawk lying next to him underneath the sheets. The Alpha's head propped up on his fist as he stared down at him. Shanks smiled, curling towards Mihawk's chest. "Morning." He mumbled.
He could still smell the lingering heat pheromones within the air mixed in with Mihawk's own rut pheromones. Their scents moving out through the room, joining together into an intoxicating mixture. The shiver went down his spine as Mihawk reached out, hand on his lower back before he was rubbing soothing circles into the tanned skin below his palm.
"I'll have to head out soon." Mihawk stated. "I got a summons this morning."
Shanks sighed. He hated the fact that Mihawk had to constantly be away, but he understood. Mihawk had his own ambitions. His own dreams. Ones that Shanks didn't fit into. Along with his Warlord status, he had obligations to fill. He could only be thankful that he got to spend his heat with him. The Omega placed the smile on his face anyway as Mihawk shuffled just as the red head moved to his back. The Alpha was looming over him now, arm braced beside his head so he could remain sitting up slightly, their bodies flushed together as Shanks reached up, wrapping his arms loosely around the shoulders of the older pirate, letting his fingers curl into the wisps of black hair on the nape of his neck.
Mihawk's free hand roamed over his naked body, settling on his hip, returning back to tracing soothing shapes into the skin. "When are you leaving?"
"Just after Ace wakes up." Mihawk whispered. "I want to say goodbye to him."
Shanks sighed, sitting up just as Mihawk did. He always hated this part. He yearned for his husband to be able to stay, but it was something that he would never be able to get. He threw the blankets to the side, standing up on shaky legs to go towards his dresser and grab some fresh clothes.
Arms wrapped around his waist, Mihawk's nose going into his scent gland. Shanks laughed slightly as he felt the nip against his skin, the goosebumps that followed. He let the smile dance on his face. The grin only got bigger as he heard the noises coming from Ace's room.
"Looks like he's awake."
Mihawk leaned over his shoulder, placing a kiss against his lips. "I have a pup to go say goodbye too."
Shanks smiled as Mihawk pulled away from him, starting for Ace's room. He leaned back against his dresser for a second, sighing before he was slipping his clothes on.

Unlike the last time they had seen the Whitebeard Pirates, this time a fight among them had broken out. He couldn't find his mother among the ones present, but he had taken on one among her Division in the form of Marshal D. Teach. An Alpha that he had fought before during his time as an apprentice on his father's ship.
This time, it felt completely different. The more the fight went on, the more he could feel just how much more power Teach possessed. It didn't match up with anything that Rouge had ever told him about the Alpha. What he had felt before. Sure, they had more years on them now, but this strength didn't seem possible for that time frame. The smirk that lingered on the man's face as Shanks put his all into their fight, trying everything to keep the Alpha away from him. This is not how he wanted this to turn out. He didn't even mean for them to run into each other. He only cared to seek out this crew if he wanted to see his mother and it was always a delight to do so. He loved every chance he got. He didn't even know they were in the area this time. He didn't get why someone from the Second Division would be away from their Commander like this either. Though, he didn't know how operations on the Moby Dick fully worked.
He let out a low growl as he slashed his sword, the move getting blocked by Teach despite the haki he had put into it. The Omega huffed, their battle continuing as he was forced to back away to keep from getting slashed. The clash of metal-on-metal ringing in his ears.
What he didn't expect was that same bladed claw to come down right on his face.
He had barely registered the pain, but the blood that filled his eye was the first thing he had noticed. He stumbled backwards, almost disoriented as he tried to keep him composure from the lack of sight that came from his left eye. He tripped over a nearby branch, falling backwards and hitting his back. Gryphon fell from his grasp, clattering against the ground as he stared up to see Teach looming over him.
A smirk settled on the Alpha's face.
"You look even more beautiful with blood on your face." Teach muttered, kneeling down and swiping his thumb through the blood on Shanks' face, smearing the liquid around. A sting that followed from hitting the fresh wound.
It snapped the Omega out of his stupor as he pushed himself up, kicking a haki covered foot into Teach's face. Hitting him square in the nose. He turned over, grabbing ahold of Gryphon. He pushed himself back to his feet, turning just in time to block the bladed claw from hitting him again.
The hairs on the back of his neck were standing as Teach's other hand moved, wrapping around his throat before he could even blink. His back was slammed up against the nearby tree. The Alpha reaching for the hand with Gryphon. The Alpha twisted the bone just enough that Shanks was forced to let go of his weapon. Pain sparked through his wrist, but he could easily ignore it. The sword clattering once more as it hit the ground.
The Omega clawed at the hand that was blocking his airway, his back being forced up the tree as he dug his nails into the skin. Seeing the marks that followed on the surface from the amount of pressure that he provided. The blood started to pool from the wounds he had inflicted.
It only seemed to urge Teach on as his leg went in between his legs, forcing them apart, and pushing him further up the tree. "Stop it." Shanks hissed, trying to kick his leg away. Teach cackled as he leaned in, nose going to Shanks' scent gland. Shivers went down his spine as Teach inhaled sharply, tongue darting out and sliding across tanned skin. Moving right over the mark on his neck. The one from Mihawk.
"Have you had a pup, Red-Hair?" Shanks felt the air catch in his throat as the sudden flare of protective instincts hit. His little boy's face flashing before his mind. "You'd make a good momma, Shanks." One hand trailed over his still covered stomach, working to move into the unbuttoned part of his shirt. He felt the disgust pool in his stomach as he snarled, throwing his arm out to push against Teach's face. Teach's other hand pulled back, bladed claw discarded on the ground before it was coming down and hitting his cheek. The force behind the hit sending his head to the side. His lip busting open. His mind swam as he tried to keep everything in focus. The same hand moved to his jaw, forcing him to look back at the Alpha. Teach's torso flushed with his. "You're too pretty to be on these seas, Red-Hair." Teach drawled, blunt fingernails digging into his skin and forcing him to look back at him. "People like you are meant to be bitched down. Maybe chained up to a bed, carrying pups and making a home. Not out here on these seas acting like some Alpha."
"Fuck you." Shanks hissed, almost coming out as a gasp from the amount of pressure that Teach had on his neck, the way that his vision danced with black dots. He pulled up his leg enough and embedding haki into it and slamming it against Teach's chest. Everything in him was screaming to run. The power that he was feeling on Teach wasn't like all the other times that he had encountered the Alpha. It felt stronger. Even intimidating. Trying to force itself onto him. The force of his kick had pushed Teach away from him enough that he was able to move his arm again, placing haki into it before he was slapping his palm into Teach's face. The sudden hit stunning the Alpha enough that his grip loosened.
Shanks coughed as the much-needed oxygen filled his lungs as he slammed into the ground. Heaving as the air forced itself into his body. He pushed himself up, reaching out for Gryphon, pausing as the sword was kicked away from him. Clattering against the ground just out of arm's reach.
The Alpha cackled as he kneeled down again, fingers going to his hair, moving it almost like a caressing way from his blood-soaked face. "You'll look stunning with marks on your face. My mark." Teach murmured. The Alpha leaned down, pressing his torso into his back. Shanks made a sound of disgust. The chill going down his spine as he felt the hand moving to his ass. Fingers sprawling over the surface. The air caught in his throat as his eyes widened. His mind starting to race as he recalled what happened all those years ago.
He could not let this happen to him again. He was stronger now. Working for years to have enough strength that he would never need anyone to protect him anymore.
"You've always been so beautiful, Red-Hair." Teach mused. "I wonder what you would look like with a pup growing inside of you. Just the way that you should be."
The anger flared in Shanks as he moved the haki throughout his arm, slamming in back to hit Teach in the face again. The Alpha howled, reaching back to clutch at his nose. The Omega turned over, bringing his arm back with the haki still within it to bring it back to Teach's face again. Knocking the Alpha the rest of the way off of him.
He took his chance, clambering up and grabbing Gryphon before he was dashing back towards where he knew the rest of his nakama were. His stumbled on his feet. Vision a mixture of red and blurry as he put more speed into his run. If he stopped now, stumbled even, who knew what would happen.
He almost let the audible sound of relief leave him as he broke through the tree line. Stumbling again, falling down to his knees as he heaved. His lungs burning from the mixture of the asphyxiation and running.
"Captain!"
"Boss!"
He heard the shocked exclamations follow as he pushed himself back up to his full height, a smile coming to his face as the pheromones and scents of his pack filled his senses. They were safe. He was safe with them. Even the Whitebeard Pirates looked stunned as their eyes fell on him.
Benn was the first to him. "Shanks, what happened? Who did this to you?"
Shanks peered over his shoulder, seeing the menacing glint in Teach's eyes as the Alpha got closer. The way his eyes seemed to linger over his body. It sent another shudder down his spine as he forced himself to look away.
Benn's eyes moved to Teach, a growl escaping the Alpha as he forced his Captain behind him, rifle lifted and level on the other. "Bastard."
Teach cackled as he broke came through. Lifting his blood covered triple blades. "He actually hurt Red-Hair?!" Marco muttered in disbelief.
Even the Whitebeard Pirates looked startled as the revelation sank in. Shanks was surrounded by his nakama before he could even blink.
It was still completely on his mind to get the hell out of there. As fast as he could. "Get the Captain to the infirmary!" Their ship's doctor Akito exclaimed. "Immediately!"
Arms were underneath his, pulling him away before anyone could even say anything. Shanks' mind was still swimming the entire time as he heard Yasopp mutter, "Fuck it." Before his feet were off of the ground and the quickened footsteps followed. His head lulled back, relaxing at the scents of his pack reached his nose. He was safe.
"Ace… where is Ace?" Shanks whispered.
"He's safe, Boss." Yasopp replied, keeping his voice soft and quiet. "Lucky, Lime Juice, and Hongo have been with him this entire time." Shanks let the smile come to his face. As long as if Ace was safe. It didn't matter what had happened to him. "I'm sorry, Boss." Shanks turned his head enough to look at Yasopp as they made it back to the ship, going up the gangplank and onto the deck. "I should have been there, and I wasn't."
Shanks shook his head. "It's not your fault."
"You're my Captain." Yasopp replied as the cabin doors were opened and he was being taken inside. "It doesn't matter what you say. We are a pack, Shanks."
He couldn't reply as he was taken into the infirmary, being placed down onto one of the beds as Akito got to work. Starting with flushing his eye to get the blood out. It made him happy to notice that he could see out of it at least. He was trembling and he knew it. The mixture of how Teach got through his defenses and what had transpired in the woods. It had a sense of discomfort going through him.
"Okay, Boss." Akito stated, "I need you to be incredibly still. Those wounds are deep, and I want to suture them."
Shanks hummed, letting Akito guide him back against the bed, keeping him up right enough that his head was still up, giving a better angle for his doctor to do his work.
It felt like everything had become a blur around him as Akito worked on his face, other hands were cleaning off the rest of him. His ears were ringing, heart beating loud enough that he could practically hear it. He was safe and he knew it. That lingering feeling remained despite it all. The only thing on his mind was his precious baby. Nothing else other than he needed to see Ace. First, he had to let his nakama take care of him.
When Akito was finished, bandages were wrapped around the wound and his head. Protecting it for the time being as the doctor went through the care routine that he would need to follow. It was odd, something he would need to get used too, having only half of his sight for the moment. He pulled his blood-stained shirt away from his body as Akito handed him a new one to replace it.
His attention was only pulled away again when the door to the infirmary opened and Yasopp came in with Ace on his hip. "Mama!" Ace shouted, small hands grabbing at him, tears pooling in those stormy colored eyes. "Mama's hurt." Ace whispered as the sniper handed Shanks his child. The Omega wrapped his arms around his pup without a second thought, pulling him close and breathing in the soft cherry blossom and sangria scent that he gave off.
"I'm okay, firefly." Shanks muttered, placing a kiss into the top of the boy's head. Ace curled into his chest, small hands balling into the fabric of his shirt.
The look in Teach's eye still loomed over his mind.
It made him only want to keep his guard up more.
X
Shanks sighed as he fell onto his back on his bed. His hat hanging up on its hook, his pants long forgotten, a larger shirt on that would cover him to his thighs if he stood up. He was comfortable. His body was sore and ached. His face felt like it was on fire. He barely felt the pain. It was more of an annoyance than anything.
Ace had finally gone to sleep not long before. Eating up his dinner and falling asleep within Shanks' arms. Ace wouldn't let him go since the minute that Yasopp had brought him to Shanks. Which was reasonable. He had seen the aftermath of Shanks' injury.
The Omega looked over to Ace's room. His door barely cracked open. The den den on his side table to notify him in Ace woke up despite the fact that he would be able to hear it. Shanks was exhausted. Ace had an odd sleep schedule, no matter how hard he tried to regulate it. He would probably get two hours at most before Ace woke up again.
He sighed as he rolled onto his stomach on the bed, inhaling Mihawk's forest and sangria scent from the sheets. His scent still radiating heavily throughout the room. The irony that he had been involved in a fight with Teach the day that Mihawk left. It would be quite the surprise for Mihawk when they saw each other again. Shanks knew he wasn't invincible, but it still had taken him by complete surprise. He could feel it in his gut there was more to Teach than meets the eye.
He let his eyes slip shut for the moment. Just happy to finally be back in bed. He wanted this day to be over. He was towards the heat of his heat, exhausted, injured, and ready to just head back out to sea with his nakama.
His eyes snapped open as the hairs on the back of his neck stood up. He pushed himself up, turning on the bed as he felt his Observation Haki going haywire. He was still completely alone. No sounds coming from Ace's room. He tried to push the feeling away, but it felt like it was only getting more powerful. He slipped off of his bed, moving towards Ace's room. Everything in him screaming at him to check on Ace.
He pushed open the door, stopping dead in his tracks as his heart practically stopped. His eyes widening and air catching in his throat.
Standing at Ace's bed with the Omega pup secured in his arms was Teach. Shanks couldn't even breathe. The Alpha's gaze turned him, peering up from the slumbering pup. "Let him go, Teach." Shanks finally managed to say, finally able to form the words.
Teach was smirking at him, that same sadistic grin on his face from before. How the hell did Teach get in here? Let alone on the ship without so much as an alarm bell being raised?!
"I knew you had to be a Momma." Teach mused, rocking slightly as Ace seemed to stir. "Your scent. Your reactions. All scream like a person who has a child."
"Just put him down, Teach." Shanks said again.
He couldn't take on Teach. Not the way he was. Teach smiled again, "Make an attempt to scream or even try to fight me, and I'll slice his throat."
Shanks felt the blood drain from his face, seeing the edge of the blade within Teach's palm. One that was lingering a bit too close to Ace's face. "Don't hurt him, Teach. Please." Shanks said, raising his hands up. "He's just an innocent child. You wouldn't hurt someone who's innocent, would you?"
Teach hummed, eyes moving to look back at him. "You have a beautiful pup, Red-Hair. He looks just like his momma. Except for his hair, of course. I would assume that belongs to Hawkeyes." How did Teach even know that? He never made it common knowledge. Sure, it as usually obvious when him and Mihawk met up. Their duels ringing throughout the Grand Line around them, but for Teach to figure out within seconds who Ace's father was had shocked him.
The Alpha's scent and pheromones were assaulting his nose. The woodsy, black licorice scent assaulting his already sensitive nose. "Teach, please, just don't hurt him." Shanks tried again. "I'll do whatever you want… just leave him alone."
Teach's motioned towards the floor, cackling as he said, "Kneel down for me like the bitch you are." Teach commanded. Shanks narrowed his eyes, gritting his teeth as he let out a growl. "If you do, I'll put your sweet baby back." Shanks sucked in a deep breath, pushing away all of his pride as he took a few steps forward and fell down to his knees, leaning back onto his legs as he glared up at the Alpha. "You can be a good one." Teach mused, turning just enough to slip Ace back into his bed. The pup cuddling back up into his pillows and blankets, almost like he hadn't been disturbed at all.
Shanks had no weapons on him. He could try to use his haki, but his exhaustion was already catching up to him. If he left himself completely defenseless, he wouldn't be able to protect Ace. "How did you get on my ship?" He chose to say instead.
"It was easy, Red-Hair." Teach cackled, kneeling down and curling his hand into Shanks' hair, pulling his neck back and bear it for himself. Showing off his mark to him once more. "Now, exactly how I did it… that you will just have to figure out." The knife that had been on Ace was now turned to him. The tip of the blade sliding over the curve. Threatening to cut into his skin. He didn't even flinch. Instead, glaring up at Teach. God, he wished he had the strength for his Conqueror's Haki.
"What do you want? You already marked up my face." Shanks hissed.
Teach smirked. "I'm positive you know what I want." The Alpha replied. "So, here's the deal. You scream. You try anything, and I'll kill that sweet pup right there. I'll do it right in front of you. Then I will kill you." Shanks inhaled sharply, lashing out before the thought had crossed his mind. His palm hitting Teach in the cheek. The Alpha chuckled, a tongue darting out to swipe over his bloodied lip. "You shouldn't have done that."
Teach's hand came down on his jaw. Knuckles hitting just below his bandages that had his mind swimming. The hand in his hair curled tighter before he was pulling. Shanks had to practically crawl to keep from being dragged. His back slammed into the floor as he kicked his legs, trying to keep Teach away from him.
He hissed as Teach's other hand landed on his inner thigh, pushing his leg open onto the wood. Almost crushing the muscles and tendons there. "Fuck off." Shanks growled. He stopped moving as he felt the knife pressing into his throat, the tip almost caressing the vein there. Teach's hand was out of his hair, hand curled around his left wrist and pinning down his dominant hand to the floor.
"You're feisty." Teach muttered. "They say parents become stronger whenever their kids are at risk." Teach paused as Shanks got a good look at his eyes. "You'll be perfect."
Shanks attempted to move his leg, only for it to get pinned again. Teach's hand moved, stroking at his thigh, and moving up his hip, fingers curling over his underwear before they were being ripped away from his hips. The fabric being torn away almost harshly. "Teach, don't do this." Shanks pleaded, the fight back in him as he tried to get out from underneath the Alpha's weight. He could feel the slick on his thighs from the fabric as the Alpha moved enough to pull them from his legs. "Stop!" Shanks exclaimed. The hand that had been pinning his wrist, moving to cover his mouth.
The Alpha's hands were back up his shirt, pushing the fabric up to reveal him to the Alpha. "You're still in heat, Red-Hair." Teach murmured, dropping his voice as he leaned in. Shanks felt the disgust once again pooling in his stomach. The flashes of what happened to him when he was younger coming back to mind. The shame he felt to the fact this was happening in his own home. That fear that he had felt before was returning full force as his legs were forced apart. "I'll have you for the entire night." His fingers immediately dipping into Shanks' entrance, forcing past the muscle that had Shanks trying once again to shuffle away.
Teach's hand moved from his mouth again, as Shanks immediately said, "Please, Teach, not in front of my son."
Teach cackled. "He's asleep."
"He can wake up at any time. He has difficulty sleeping at night." Shanks muttered. "Don't do this." He threw out his arms again, trying to shove at the much larger man. Teach's hands caught his arms almost immediately. Trapping them in a harsh grasp that had a whine leaving him. "Please, Teach, just stop it. You don't want to do this."
The Alpha made a noise, that smirk only getting bigger. Teach stood up, pulling Shanks up along with him by his wrists. "You aren't the one in control here." The Alpha's breath hit his lips, the stench of alcohol hitting his nose that had him grimacing. "But since you asked so nicely."
He was pushed backwards, his back hitting the floor of his own room as his head hit harshly on the wood. The Omega groaned as he touched the back of his head, rolling over and getting to his knees. Teach had taken advantage of his moment of disorientation. Hands moving to his hips and pinning them against the floor. Sliding up to push his night shirt back up.
Every part of him wished that one of his nakama would come through his bedroom door. Even if they were drunk out of their minds. Just to keep this from happening. Shanks could possibly fight back now that he had Teach out of Ace's room. Placing Ace out of immediate danger, but with the way he was placed on his stomach now, he would have to be able to try and elbow him in the face.
"Stop!" He exclaimed, throwing his arm back and his elbow catching Teach in the side of the jaw. Just enough that it managed to knock the Alpha off balance and allow him to shuffle out, flipping to his bottom and kicking towards Teach. Hitting him in the chest. He had started swinging almost wildly, trying to land any sort of hit onto the Alpha. Fighting tooth and nail. Clawing at any exposed skin he could get to.
It only seemed to urge Teach on more as his hands were almost instantly back on his thighs and forcing them apart. "Teach—" Shanks tried to push at his hands. Get them off of his sore muscles. When it had failed, he felt around on the floor for anything that he could use as an object to hit Teach with. Any weapons he had were placed in a safe place since Ace was walking around now. Gryphon was across the room. He would have to somehow get out from underneath Teach to get to it.
Teach smirked, leaning in and capturing Shanks' lips. The Omega recoiled. The shocked sound leaving him. The Alpha's hips moved to pin down his own, hands moving to grab both of Shanks' wrists and pin them against the floor. Teach pulled away, chuckling as he said, "Absolutely stunning with that fear in your eyes."
His blood ran cold as he felt the hardness against his slicked entrance. Threatening to push in and any given second. "Teach—don't. Don't do this. Please." He wasn't even sure why he was begging now. Why he was pleading. Teach had made it obvious to him throughout the day what his intention had always been. All Teach did was place another kiss to his lips before he was rutting forward with a harsh snap of his hips.
The burning sensation that shot up his back. His own body's slick not doing much to combat the involuntary penetration of his body. The Omega gasped as he bit down onto his lip, hand moving to cover up his own mouth as the involuntary sound escaped from his throat. The way his body reacted to Teach's assault.
He could feel Teach's pelvis against the inner part of his thighs. Brunt nails digging into his skin. Tears came to his eyes, stinging and threatening to spill over. Teach was groaning into his ear, his large body draped over Shanks' own.
It felt like it was suffocating him. How it burned with each movement that Teach gave. A harsh snap of his hips. A hand moving towards his neck and clamping down and cutting for his airway. His arms were still at his sides, like all the fight in him was gone. He had never felt so disgusted within his entire life.
How could he let this happen?
He could hear the wet sounds coming from his own slick. How his body kept reacting to Teach's touch. The involuntary sounds that were leaving him. He wasn't even sure what sounds he was making. Just that they were escaping, and it made him feel even more sick to his stomach. He tried to will his body to stop. Will his own voice to quit. Anything.
Teach's hand moved, grabbing at his thigh, and forcing him to roll over onto his back. Not once stopping the snap of his hips. The change had sent the head of Teach's cock right into the bundle of nerves inside of him, pulling an involuntary moan from his throat that had him clapping his hand over his mouth. Digging his fingers into his cheek. Teach smirked above him, grabbing ahold of his legs to try and hit the direction again.
His body shouldn't be reacting this way. He shouldn't be getting any pleasure from it. This was revolting. He was sure from the grip that Teach had on him that bruises would be left on his skin. He was positive of it. Despite his own body trying to keep up, it felt like he was being ripped in two. The harsh pace that Teach had set that left him unable to breathe. The sound of their skin connecting reaching his ears.
The pain was shooting up his backside. His entrance stinging and burning. Pheromones flaring through the room trying continually to get him to fully submit. Teach reached up, pulling his shirt collar away from his neck. Teeth coming down on the connecting, right over where Mihawk's mark was. It was enough to pierce the skin, but enough to threaten that he would, and Shanks believed it completely.
"What does it feel like being turned into nothing more than a whore?" Teach questioned, the smug tone to his voice as he snapped his hips. His hand to cup the underside of Shanks' ass to pull his hips off of the floor.
With each passing second, he wanted it to be over with. That Teach would just finish and leave. "Fuck you." Shanks hissed. "At least I don't need to attack someone to get what I want."
Teach cackled, leaning up and running his fingers over the bandages on his face. "You will have a constant reminder, Red-Hair." Teach stated. "You will always remember how this felt. What I did to you. How you reacted to it. You won't even be able to close your eyes without remembering me."
Shanks whined as Teach's fingers practically caressed his face. "You think this is going to break me?" Shanks questioned, glaring at Teach through his good eye. "If you think that, you are the one who doesn't know anything."
"I knew you'd be perfect." Teach cackled.
Shanks could feel the knot forming, catching on his rim harshly with each movement that Teach gave. Each and every single thrust causing even more pain to rip through his body with how harsh the Alpha's movements were. Teach had no regard for what he was actually doing to Shanks. Just that he was getting what he wanted. He wanted to throw up the second he felt Teach's climax splash against his walls. The way he could feel the pulsation.
Teach finally stopped moving. Just staying that way for the moment. They would be stuck like this for a few minutes. Shanks knew that. He didn't even move the enter time. Just waiting for Teach to get off of him.
In his mind, this was better than the possibility that Ace might have been killed. Why didn't he try to fight back? Why didn't he attempt to scream for his nakama? Maybe this wouldn't have happened to him if he had. Even then, he would rather this happen to him than his child get hurt.
Teach pulled back, standing up and cackling as he readjusted himself. Eyes looking down at him as he still yet to move. His stomach was still twisting as he felt the mixture of fluids running down his thigh. "I'll see you around, Red-Hair." Teach murmured, leaning down and pressing his lips into Shanks'. Shanks didn't even have it in him to even turn his head. Just letting it happen before the Alpha laughed again and disappeared out of sight.
He just laid there, waiting. The gross feeling of his skin. The feeling coursing through his veins. He took in a shaky breath, pushing himself up onto shaky legs. His fatigue and exhaustion was even worse than before, but only one thing was on his mind as he kept his hand braced on the wall and went back into Ace's room.
Ace was still sound asleep in his bed. Shanks reached out, letting his fingers graze over the soft black hair before he was turning and sliding his back down the wall. The tears that had been in his eyes falling down his face. He choked on the sob that broke out of his chest, curling his legs to his chest.
It's okay to cry, Shanks. Just as long as if you overcome it. He could hear Roger's words echoing through his mind.
He stayed just like that. Unmoving.
How could he let this happen?
X
He had stayed where he was for the rest of the night. He didn't bother moving. Trying to bathe or change his clothes. He couldn't take his eyes off of Ace. If he did, it felt like Teach might somehow get back into this room and the threats would become a reality. Bruises had formed on his skin. He could see the shapes of hands around his wrists. The large bruise that had formed on his thigh.
It was all still better than seeing that knife to Ace's throat. He would rather this happen to him. That it had happened because Ace was unharmed. That's all that mattered. Teach's attention was no longer on Ace like it had been and had been focused onto him.
He jumped as the door opened, looking up with wide eyes before he was relaxing at the sight of Benn standing there. A cigarette in between his lips. "Shanks?" Benn's eyes settled onto him, his First Mate taking in his appearance as his mouth dropped open slightly. The Alpha rushed forward, kneeling down in front of him with the concern on his face. "What's wrong?" His eyes moved over his body that had Shanks pulling his shirt down in an attempt to cover the bruises on his thigh. The movement had Benn's attention, his voice dropping as he muttered, "What the hell happened?" Benn looked around the room, the air catching in his throat for a second as his eyes settled onto Shanks' underwear that were still sitting on the floor.
Benn looked back at him as Shanks felt the tears in his eyes again. The Omega started to shake his head, letting out a cry again as he curled in on himself more. Benn's hand touched his shoulder and Shanks had involuntarily flinched away from it.
"You didn't come to breakfast, so we were concerned. I thought that maybe you were just still asleep after yesterday…" Benn whispered. "Shanks, I need you to tell me what happened?"
Shanks finally looked up, shaking his head again as he muttered, "I don't know how he got in."
"Who?" Benn immediately questioned.
"Teach." He replied, exhaling sharply as he looked over to Ace. "He… he threatened to kill Ace if I didn't do what he wanted." He looked over to Benn again, shaking his head. "Why didn't I fight back, Benn?"
"You did what you had to do." Benn immediately said. "We need to get you to Akito."
Shanks shook his head. "No. You can't tell anyone what happened."
Benn leaned back, sitting on the floor in front of him. "Shanks, you need to at least tell Akito and get tested. Teach raped you, didn't he?" The air caught in Shanks' throat as he wiped at his eye to push the tears away. "Shanks, we have to do something. He got onto the ship and got in here undetected. We have to up the protection on the ship, so this never happens again, but we also have to get you checked out."
"Benn—"
"You will need to make sure he didn't give you anything. You want to protect Mihawk from it right?" Shanks nodded. "Then at least let Akito check you over. Even if it's just to check your face."
Shanks buried his face into his knees, shaking his head. "I didn't fight back. I didn't even try to scream." He whispered. "How can I be a Captain of this ship? When… when I froze."
Benn sighed, carefully reaching out and placing his hand over Shanks'. It took everything in him not to pull his hand away. Benn was safe. He was safe again. He didn't feel it. He didn't get any sleep. He was exhausted. His body hurt. His skin felt disgusting.
"Shanks, you are our Captain." Benn started, "This never should have happened. I'm going to find out what happened with night watch and how he managed to get on the ship."
Shanks choked, reaching out and grabbing Benn's arm. "You can't tell them what happened. They can never find out."
Benn sighed. "That… that is something for you to tell, but we need to figure out how he even got on the ship without being spotted." Benn stated. "We have to make sure, so this never happens again."
Shanks nodded. Benn was right. Teach had gotten on his ship. Went after Ace. Assaulted him. They would need to figure out why night watch was unable to detect Teach getting on the ship in the first place.
"But first, let's get to Akito."
X
His heart was pounding as he went into the infirmary, Akito in his normal spot. Breakfast was long over now. Ace was with Yasopp and Lucky. They were the only ones aside from Benn and Akito who were aware of what transpired throughout the night. The two vowing to make sure to notify him if Ace wanted him. Ace had slept peacefully throughout the entire night. Shanks was thankful for it.
He was barely able to tell Benn and Akito what had transpired. What had happened throughout the night. They were patient with him. Sitting and listening. Being a comforting force as he recounted the events. The thought had came back to his mind. Why didn't he fight back the second that Teach had thrown him to the floor in his room? Why didn't he try the second Teach had put Ace down? He could have done more to prevent this from happening. He knew it. He had felt numb from the moment that he had just sat down. Unable to move or breathe properly since.
Why couldn't he breathe? Was it because Ace was no longer in his line of sight? That the fear was coursing through his veins?
He clawed at his shirt, heaving as his heart raced. Pounding in his ears. Teach's face was before his eyes again. The smell of his scent and pheromones in his nose. The feel of his body pushed up against his. The sounds that came from Teach's thrusts. His lips pressing against his own. His heavy breathing where Shanks felt like he couldn't breathe at all.
Benn's hands were on either side of his face, forcing him to look up, bringing him crashing back into reality. The tears were still falling out of his eyes. Almost uncontrollable at this point as he tried to force himself to breathe properly again. Unable to actually find it in himself. "Shanks, I can't even imagine what is going on in your head, but you have to rely on us." Benn muttered. "Let Akito do his job. Let us help you, just like you do for us. You don't have to talk to anyone. Hell, you don't even have to do anything. Just let us in long enough."
Shanks choked on the air in his throat just for a moment before he was nodding. "Do it." He whispered.
"I'll be right here. I won't leave." Benn stated.
"If we need to stop, just let me know, Captain." Akito added, a soft smile on his face. "Alright, Captain." Akito muttered, "I'm going to draw some of your blood just to test it. I also want you to take these." He added, handing a cup of pills over to Shanks. "Just to make sure that bastard didn't give you anything. There is also an emergency contraceptive in there."
Shanks nodded. This was starting to feel more real. Each passing second telling him how he failed to protect himself. How he had all but submitted to Teach. He didn't even really fight back. He could blame his exhaustion from his heat and his injury, but could he really? All he managed to do was get Teach away from Ace.
Akito was already working on drawing some of his blood. He just watched as his doctor worked. Humming softly with a gentle smile on his face. His hands barely touching Shanks. Only touching him long enough to do what he needed to do. Being careful with his movements to keep from causing him to jump or flinch. He had noticed it all morning. Even though he was surrounded by people he trusted with his life, he kept moving away from them almost subconsciously. He hated it.
He froze as Mihawk's face came before his mind. "What am I supposed to tell Mihawk?" Shanks questioned. Both Benn and Akito had stopped moving, their eyes lingering on him. He shook his head, throwing back the pills and swallowing them without the help of anything, crushing the cup in his hand. "How am I supposed to tell Mihawk that not only did Teach threaten our son… but I let him attack me?"
"You didn't let him." Akito replied.
Benn growled slightly, biting down on his cigarette. "You didn't let him do anything to you. He placed you in a situation where it was either listen or Ace would get hurt. You chose to protect your son. Teach assaulted you. That wasn't letting him."
Shanks shook his head, the anger coursing through him now. He should have done more. Hell, his own body had even reacted to it. How was he supposed to tell Mihawk about all of that? "You don't understand."
"And I won't because I've never been forced into a position that you were." Benn replied. "What that bastard did to you was not your fault."
The Omega exhaled sharply, "Benn… I didn't even really fight back. I was just… I could have done more."
Akito sat down in his chair; the knowing look on his face. "I've seen my share of survivors of assault in the past and almost all of them say that same thing." He paused, setting his clipboard to the side before he was looking back at his Captain. "Each person is different. Each situation is different. You complied to his demands because he was threatening Ace. No one will ever fault you for that and if they do, I will personally put them in the ground." The doctor sighed. "I want to do an examine on you. Just to check and make sure. Then you are free to go bathe, get some fresh clothes and some food. Go to Ace. Whatever you please."
Shanks nodded, leaning back onto the bed. He placed his hand over his face as Akito set his legs up and got to work. It felt like he was being assaulted all over again. He forced his mind to be anywhere but there. He just wanted all of this to be over. He just wanted to move on and forget that Teach had ripped his dignity right out from underneath him.
He wasn't even sure how long he had been laying there for before Akito stated that he was finished, standing back up and slipping the gloves off of his hand and disposing of them. "You do have some trauma, but it would appear the remnants of your heat kept the damage to a minimum. Just take it easy and it will heal up on its own." Benn reached out, helping Shanks sit up as Akito turned and jotted down some notes before he was facing the Omega again. "I know you didn't want to tell me about this, but I'm glad you did, Boss. We are your pack. You can rely on us. Even the Captain needs to lean on his nakama. If you need to talk, even if its just to chit chat, you always know I'm available. Don't bottle this up."
Shanks nodded. "Thanks, Akito."
Akito smiled at him, "Now go bathe and get something to eat. Then I want you to go get some sleep. I'm sure Benn doesn't have an issue running things today and the others will be happy to help out with Ace."
The Omega pushed himself up, curling his arms around him as he gave his final thanks before he was disappearing into the connected bathroom. It was only white noise in his ears as he started up the bath and stripping out of his ruined shirt. The door only opened long enough to Benn to step in with some clothes and place them on the counter. Benn kept his eyes off of him. The Omega mentally thanked him for it.
He slipped into the water, keeping the temperature a little higher than what he normally set it as. Scrubbing at his skin. No matter how many times he cleaned at his skin. He still didn't feel clean. Like Teach's hands were still on him. The bruises were even darker now.
No matter how much he scrubbed at his skin. He still felt dirty. Still felt as if the unwanted touches were on his skin. The fluids on his thighs even though he washed it away. Nothing helped the feeling as he curled back up.
It would all be okay, wouldn't it?
This feeling would go away?
It did before. It could now, right?

He had finally felt like had gotten some normalcy back in his life. There were some changes. Such as Ace being brought into his room at night instead of being in his. Shanks was having nightmares. Ones that would jerk him right out of his sleep, heart racing, and breathing picking up as he reminded himself that he was completely safe where he was.
The crew had been told about Teach managing to get on the ship and not one person could say how it was possible. That each corner of the ship had an eye on it at all times. Night watch had been upped. More people offering to keep an eye out at night. It was almost tense. No one did tell the true extent of what happened that night, but he could see the looks he received. Shanks was sure the others had figured out what happened, but he couldn't bring himself to actually tell any of them the truth. Thankfully, not one of them actually asked him about it.
It had been almost two months since that day. When everything seemed like it was going just right, it all fell apart again.
He had started having the cravings first. More so wanting meat more than usual. Getting sick whenever he tried to eat his kimchi fried rice. Then came the exhaustion. He knew exactly what was going on.
He had gone to Akito almost immediately, the words ringing through his head, "You're pregnant again, Boss." He didn't even need to be told an estimation to know when the conception fell. The issue, it could be either Mihawk or Teach.
What the hell was he supposed to tell Mihawk now?
It was one thing when it was just the assault but now a baby was involved. A sweet, innocent life who had nothing to do with that night. Yet, that unsettling fear was in his veins. Was he carrying Teach's baby?
The second the words had fallen from Akito's mouth, confirming what he had believed, he couldn't breathe all over again. The panic going through him with each passing second.
What the hell was he supposed to do now?
The second that he managed to calm himself down, he placed a smile on his face. Even if it was a forced one. He refused to let the lingering thought be there for the time being. He still needed to talk to Mihawk, and he would face it then. For now, there was another life forming. One that he refused to allow to know about how they could have possibly come into this world. It was his baby.
He walked out of the infirmary, his nakama looking right at him the second he came through the cabin door. With that smile on his face, he announced, "It's official. We're getting another nakama."

With the news, Shanks had decided that they would go to the East Blue. More specifically, Dawn Island. A part of him wanted to return to the South Blue and back to Baterilla where they already had a home. The rest of him was screaming to head to Foosha. He couldn't place exactly why, but that is where he went.
He wanted his mother. He wanted Rouge to be here with him to tell him that everything would be okay. He would have sought out the Whitebeard Pirates like he did when he was pregnant with Ace, but the thought of possibly running into Teach again immediately had him changing his mind. Rouge always seemed to know when things weren't right. He would see her soon. He knew that much.
His face was already healed up and the stitches removed. Bandages gone. The area was still tender, and he had three new scars on his face. It had given him an idea as he looked at his temporary jolly roger.
He could send the biggest screw you to Teach. Tell Teach that even after everything he had done, he couldn't break him. With a smile on his face, the jolly roger was redone for the Red Hair Pirates. Revealing what would be their permanent mark. One that had his very scars as the sign that this crew was his.
He hadn't been at Dawn Island long before Rouge had showed up. His scars and pregnancy weren't the only new developments outside of his new jolly roger. He had assigned Benn and Yasopp as officers of his crew. Benn, Yasopp, and Lucky had taken to staying by his side wherever they went. He wasn't sure if it was strictly because they knew what happened or because they wanted to. He never felt more safe than he had been before. Even on the time of being on Roger's ship.
He knew the second he saw Rouge, that she was already questioning what what happening to him. He still involuntarily flinched away from someone's touch. He wasn't even sure if his words sounded believable, but she never did fully question him. He could see it in her eyes, her concern was there.
In the end, she never did ask him, but she stayed by his side without him even asking her too. Rouge was here with him. That's all he needed for now.

Mihawk had shown up not long after Rouge did. It was roughly a month later, the curve of his stomach was already starting to show. Ace adored his stomach. Placing his small hands against it with a happy smile on his face as he shouted about his sibling. It never failed to bring a smile to his face. With each moment, it reminded him more that this baby was his. To hell with who the possible father could be. Even if he lost Mihawk because of it, he would raise his children to love this world. To see the beauty it could hold even with the darkness that tried to reign through.
Mihawk had stopped dead in his tracks the second they came face to face. It wasn't his stomach he was looking at like before. It was his face. He had seen the anger come within seconds. The flash of red that came over those beautiful golden eyes.
He knew immediately what was going through Mihawk's head as he didn't say a word, instead turning on his heel and starting back towards his ship. "Mihawk, wait!"
"It was that Teach bastard." Mihawk hissed. He couldn't even place how Mihawk would possibly know who in fact scarred him. Did this to him. But he couldn't let Mihawk go through with this. It was a death sentence to try and fight the Whitebeard Pirates alone. "You don't have to say a word, Shanks. I know what he did."
Shanks rushed forward, trying to catch up to Mihawk. The Alpha kept his pace quick. He could hear the growls leaving him every few seconds. Mihawk was seething. Even more angry than he was before. "Mihawk, there's more to it, but you have to promise me you won't do anything." He huffed as he gained no response from Mihawk. The Alpha still heading for the dock. "Mihawk, he raped me!" The air caught in his throat as Mihawk froze completely, turning his head to look at him. It was the first time since that night that he had admitted to what happened. The first time he actually said that word. "It's not worth it. I'm fine. Ace is fine."
"What happened?" Mihawk hissed.
Shanks let out a shaky breath as he muttered, "The day that we fought the Whitebeard Pirates… he tried to in the forest and I got away… but—" He choked for a second as he stopped moving, looking down to his sandaled feet. "He somehow got on my ship, and I found him in Ace's room." The deep noise from the Alpha followed again, "He… he was going to hurt Ace, and I did what he wanted. Just so he wouldn't."
Mihawk started walking again, the dark look on his face as he hissed, "I'm going to end this."
"Mihawk, please." Shanks muttered, arms wrapping around Mihawk's torso. Stopping the Alpha in his place. "Please, don't do this."
"I'm going to kill him." Mihawk growled, a low rumble in his chest. One that Shanks could feel even underneath his palms. "That bastard doesn't deserve to breathe even a second longer."
"You will declare war on them." Shanks whispered. "Please… I just want to forget."
"Shanks, this isn't something that can be forgiven or forgotten." Mihawk replied. "I don't care that they are your mother's crew. The vile and heinous acts cannot go unpunished."
"I'll be fine." Shanks shot back. "I can't let you do this. Not for me."
Mihawk growled again, gritting his teeth. "Shanks, he threatened to kill our child. He raped you." The Alpha hissed. "I cannot allow that man to live."
"I can't let you go on a vengeance streak, Mihawk." Shanks snapped. "Whitebeard will kill you before you ever can touch Teach. Just please… listen to me on this one."
Mihawk turned to look at him, that sharp glance leveled on him. "This baby…"
"I don't know." Shanks said, knowing exactly what Mihawk was asking of him.
The Alpha paused, hands landing on his stomach. Eyes looking down at the curve as he muttered, "This baby is mine."

Their conversations were almost tense after that. Shanks had managed to talk Mihawk out of leaving and hunting down the Whitebeard Pirates. Mihawk never did bring up the possibility that the pup he was carrying wasn't his. Each time saying that the baby belonged to him. Even without the confirmation that they were.
Shanks couldn't understand how Mihawk could so easily accept the situation the way that it was. The last time they had spoke about it, Mihawk had questioned the possibility of testing the baby's blood against his when they were born, just to give Shanks a sense of relief. No matter how many times he told himself that he could get some kind of closure by doing it, he couldn't bring himself to agree to it.
He would not only have to admit again that he was unsure of the paternity of his unborn child, but there could be the chance that it came back as Teach's. He would rather not know than carry the confirmation around with him.
He wasn't the only one who was having a baby. Yasopp had made the point to return home and see his wife. Returning with the news that she would also be delivering a baby. Shanks was ecstatic for him. Even with everything happening, there were so many good things coming their way.
He was fine just the way he was. His nightmares were slowly going away. Becoming far and few between. With Mihawk around, he finally decided that Ace could sleep in his own room again. It was getting closer to the time that the baby would be here. They had gotten a new wardrobe of baby clothes, having some of Ace's old ones still on hand that he hadn't given away over the years to mothers in need. The baby would be set up with their brother. Staying close to Shanks. For the start of it, they would be in Shanks' quarters until the moment they were ready.
"What about Lucy for a girl?" Shanks questioned, laying on his back in the grass. His head settled on Mihawk's thigh. Ace was running around not far from them. Playing with some of the crew and Rouge. His giggles brought a smile to Shanks' face. Out of all of them, Ace seemed the most excited for their newest addition. Shanks couldn't even lie, as the days past, the more he wanted to meet his baby. The more he wanted to hold them. First, they needed to think of a name.
Mihawk hummed, fingers combing through red strands. "I like it." He replied.
"What do you think for a boy's name?" Shanks questioned. "I picked out the boy name last time."
Mihawk leaned back, bracing himself back on his arms. He sat in silence for a moment. "Luffy."
"Luffy?" Shanks smiled. It was a nice name. He liked it. "Perfect."

Going into labor had taken him completely by surprise, this time he didn't even feel the pain like he did last time. Not even realize that he had been having contractions the entire time before he was standing with Mihawk and he felt his pants getting drenched and the innocent statement from Ace, "Floor is wet."
Shanks could almost laugh as Ace had grabbed a nearby towel and placed over the puddle of water as Mihawk placed a kiss against his cheek. "Looks like they are coming today." Rouge had laughed, walking over, and pulling Ace away and instead cleaning it up as Mihawk pulled Shanks back.
"Boss, why didn't you say anything?!" Akito exclaimed.
Shanks shook his head, feeling the stronger cramp now that his water was officially broken. "I thought they were just cramps."
"To the delivery room. C'mon, let's go!" Akito stated.
He had been ushered away almost immediately, taken into the room, and being handed something to wear for the time being.
Everything had all came crashing back to reality. The flood of nerves and feels racing through his body. It was finally time, but it left him wondering now. Pups would normally have slight scents when they were born, growing more and more into them as they grew. A part of him wondered if the pup's scent would tell him what the truth was. That idea cemented into his mind that he might pick up a woodsy, licorice scent or if it would be forest like and sangria. He wished for everything that it would be similar to Ace and get the sangria.
"You have this, Shanks." Mihawk whispered, pushing some of his hair from his face.
Shanks nodded. "Yeah." He said. Did he really? Was he prepared for this moment?
As the time passed, Akito finally said it was time to push. Shanks didn't need instruction this time, just doing it based off of muscle memory. Mihawk never left his side. Just like it had been with Ace. Nothing was different. He had the slight fear in his mind that this labor would end the way it happened with Ace. How he had almost bled out.
Now he also had the possibility that Mihawk wasn't this baby's father lingering over his head. He couldn't focus on that now. He could only focus on the fact that his baby was coming.
Even though he knew what this pain was, it was more manageable compared to when he was giving birth to Ace. With each new contraction, he pushed for the ten second count before he was repeating it. He had lost track of the time, keeping all his focus on delivering. He let out the breath of relief as he felt the release and the loud cry that came next.
"It's a boy, Captain!" Akito exclaimed, getting everything ready before his son was being handed to him. He had caught the forest and cherry blossom scent immediately. Only further cementing that he was only dreaming in thinking he could figure it out without having to check their baby's blood. Teach and Mihawk both had a wood type scent factor. Not much difference between the two. This was his baby. He was innocent of the sins of his parents. Even if he was Teach's, that didn't matter to him. Even if now seeing him reminded him of that night. He would never hold that against his baby. He had nothing to do with it. Though, he couldn't find it in him to actually seek out the answer.
Despite the uncertainty he had, he was already in love the second he laid eyes on his child. "Luffy." He whispered.
X
He had remained on Dawn Island throughout his recovery. Waiting just like he had with Ace until his son was six weeks old before he was announcing that they were heading towards the Grand Line. They would be making a stop at Syrup Village to meet Yasopp's new son, where he had been just before he had returned to Dawn before Luffy's birth. After that, they wouldn't be returning for a while.
Shanks had to finally get stability in his life again.
He was going to travel around the seas. Get even stronger than he was before to keep from what happened to him, never happen again. Have enough strength that his name alone would be enough to detour anyone from thinking they could try anything against him and his crew. Against his children.
This was going to be the start of the beauty that was in this world. There was more ahead for him, and he knew it. He just had to find it.
