As Scott ran towards the Hale house, he noticed too many cars. He recognized his mom's Corolla, Stiles's dad's cruiser, was that Angela's Prius?, a BMW he thought might be the Whitmore's, Mr. Argent's massive SUV, and Dr. Deaton's clunker that Scott swore was held together by pure magic. What were all of the adults doing together? He saw he was the last Pack member to arrive. He immediately went over to kiss Allison.

The Argents, Mr. Stilinski, the Whitmores, Angela, his mother, Dr. Deaton, and Derek filed out of the house in that order and stood on the porch, looking over the children. Derek stepped forward and announced, "The first treaty was built on flimsy trust and only tolerance. The second treaty was built on more solid ground, but was just short of avoiding each other. The treaty we made today is built on communication and acceptance." He took a step back.

Mr. Argent stepped forward and proclaimed, "starting next month, we will be running joint training operations between the pack and hunters bi-weekly. Isaac, you, or should I say, Camden, had experience performing joint operations, correct?"

Isaac said loudly, in an unusually military fashion, "Yes, sir!" His arm twitched as though it considered saluting.

Mr. Argent said, "While Allison will continue to be the official liaison, I would greatly appreciate you becoming the point man for joint operations from the pack side. I will select a hunter to be your counterpart."

Isaac said in a military fashion, "Thank you for the opportunity, sir!"

Mr. Argent stepped back. Dr. Deaton stepped forward. "My time in Beacon Hills has come to an end. I cannot effectively be an emissary to a pack so much my junior, and the town itself craves its child to take up the mantle of her guardian. Angela has graciously agreed to become the emissary for the pack. Not a perfect fit, but one that will suit your unique needs. Daniel, the Nemeton touched you and immediately desired you to take up the mantle of protector. Is that something you would be amenable to?"

Danny said, "The local kupua wish me to be their voice. Who am I to disagree?"

Dr. Deaton said, "I will walk you through the bonding at 11 AM tomorrow, releasing mine after yours is in place." He stepped back.

Scott's mother stepped forward. "I will be departing from working at the hospital. The Whitmores, the Argents, and Derek will be assisting me generously to finish my DNP, which I have under a semester left on. From now on, I will be your primary medical point of contact. I will legally be listed as an employee of a doctor who the Argents have brought to town to handle supernatural injuries. He is not a hunter, and was unwilling to work directly for hunters until he was told of the treaty." She stepped back.

Mr. Stilinski stepped forward. "I will be forming a task force or unit in the sheriff's department. I haven't decided how to select officers. They will not be getting in your way. They will redirect other officers, kill cases, set up yellow and red tape. You don't need to know this, but I decided it was important for you to know how many adults will be in support of you." Isaac carefully raised his hand. "Yes, Isaac?"

Isaac said, sounding more like his age, "I…" he gestured with his hands indicating he was having trouble explaining something, "set myself up to interact with one of Camden's friends. And he just about straight up told me that he knew about werewolves. And implied most of the old families of Beacon Hills did as well."

Mr. Stilinski smirked to Mr. Argent, and said mockingly, "Oh, didn't I say there had to be at least some people on the force who knew something? Guess my idea doesn't necessarily put more people in danger than necessary." Mr. Argent grimaced. Mr. Stilinski looked at Isaac and asked, "Can you tell me exactly what Camden's friend said?"

Isaac said, "'Hales stay near, nothing to fear, Hales away, demons soon to play.' Then he said to run perpendicular to Hales if the Hales are running. And then he said that the Hales were sheepdogs."

Danny said nervously, "That's, that's a prophecy."

Dr. Deaton said, "Good ear, Daniel. Knowing another's prophecy immediately is a good skill to have."

Derek said, "The local Catholic priest called us sheepdogs too."

The sheriff said, "Maybe it's a code word I can use. Thank you for sharing Isaac." The sheriff stepped back.

Angela stepped forward. "In addition to taking over as emissary, I will be instructing the magic users on what I can. Your magic is different from mine. But the basics I can start you on. I have a number of texts available, as soon as a friend of mine ships them, and the Argents have a better library than most would give them credit for. Dark mages still have the basics, and the Argents know knowledge is power. We will meet at the ley line convergence, the Nemeton, tomorrow at noon to begin training." She took a step back.

Mrs. Whitmore stepped forward. "I will be appearing to be doing the least, probably. But this is how I can help. I will be involved in every piece of town gossip. Everybody talks, all it takes is knowing what to listen for. A stray comment here and there that I like strange stories, I think I can manifest an information web to assist you. Knowing problems as they arise may be sooner than you catch them." She meekly stepped back.

Mrs. Argent stepped forward. "What was done to stop Ragnorak was a choice that was made." Her tone indicated her displeasure. "Every monster you can dream of will want a taste of that power that is within you. A Nemeton and a god are up for grabs. You will be tested to the lengths of your abilities. It is not within our power to stop. We would quite literally need to withdraw every Argent on the west coast to do this without you. We are still pulling a lot of favors to make this a safe place. So train hard. Understand this is only the beginning!" She stepped back.

Derek said, "We will start our regularly scheduled training after everyone else has a chance to leave."

The adults filed away and drove off.
