"Thank you so much Doc!" The green haired boy practically snatched the release forms out of the moustached doctors hand with his right, then hurriedly scribbled down his signature with his left.

"Your welcome my boy, but are you sure about this?"

Izuku gave a reassuring smile. "It's no sweat doc, I'm at a hundred and one! Really! Besides, I'm just burning someone else's hard earned money by being here."

Izuku demonstrated by flexing the right arm that was previously cut through by a katana.

The doctor solemnly shook his head. "The Ingenium agency pays for it's fair share of medical bills, this is merely a drop in the ocean for them. Besides, it wasn't much with how little treatment it took to actually heal you. But that's not what I meant, you know that right?"

Izuku looked down to avoid the doctor's gaze.

Yesterday when Midoriya Izuku had awoken, the doctor had notified everyone close to him. His family, his school, but what he informed was just merely that.

He hadn't taken note of Izuku's amnesia until after his brief checkup.

So before he could include that in his detailed report Izuku stopped him.

Because that's not all that happened yesterday.

Izuku had a certain visitor.

A certain visitor who cried in despair.

Despair that the Midoriya Izuku she knew and loved was gone from this world.

Despair that became one of 'Midoriya Izuku's' only memories.

Despair that he wished not to bring upon everyone else that cared about Midoriya Izuku.

So he told the doctor to tell everyone that Midoriya Izuku was awake and well.

The only people who knew the truth of the situation were the two people currently in the room, and Uraraka Ochako.

*Knock Knock*

Speaking of which…

"Oja shimasu."

The girl in question had arrived.

"Ah your girlfriend is here."

"Eh! R-Right…" Ochako began to blush once again.

"Well, then I shall take my leave, I wish you the best in this endeavour of yours my boy."

The doctor left with Ochako looking confused.

"Endeavour?"

"It's nothing." Izuku brushed the comment aside.

It would be a difficult task, but Izuku was nothing but determined.

Without any prior experiences the boy was pure as can be, naive and inexperienced.

He did not know how hard it would be to keep his condition a secret from everyone around him.

But at the very least he wasn't alone.

"Are we set to go?"

"Yeah, I didn't have much with me." Izuku patted down his clothes one last time before they left the hospital building.

The way he instinctively told the receptionist 'See you soon' was not a good omen at all.

On the train back to UA, Ochako took the time to brief Izuku on his 'Origin story'.

"Wait, so why was I living at the dorms instead of my mom's place?"

"Well, UA has 3 trimesters a year. Usually 1 out of 3 trimesters is a break, but students can opt for extra courses, leave for exchanges, or take internships during that period. For the Hero course we use the third trimester of our first year to do our internships, that's why you stumbled into IIda-kun that day in Hosu."

"I see, so was I doing an internship at Hosu too?"

Ochako sweat dropped. "Uhh, kinda?"

"Do I even want to know?"

"So there's another kind of attachment called work-studies, where students can be attached to work while they study during coursework trimesters. Since the Hero Course is more like a military academy than a normal college course, we usually take those instead of internships since we get no breaks after this one."

"Wait a minute, why was I doing a work-study during a break trimester?"

"You… kinda… had to do a couple of make up courses."

"Oh…"

"And by a couple I mean… basically a whole trimesters worth."

"Oh… I'm that bad a student huh?" Izuku hung his head gloomily.

"Eh? Oh no no no!" Ochako flailed her arms as she tried to explain.

"I-It's just that you get into a lot of trouble and had to cut a couple classes that's all!"

"Oh… I'm just a delinquent huh?" Izuku remained depressed.

"Eh!? Ano… Ah! You were also doing it to make some extra cash!"

"That's… ok I guess? Wait am I in debt or something?"

"…"

Oh…"

"B-But for good reason!" Ochako interrupted him before he could be depressed again.

"Eh?"

"You have a little girl you have to take care of!"

"…EH!? I'M A TEEN FATHER TOO? WHAT KIND OF FUCKED UP LIFE WAS MIDORIYA-SAN LIVING?"

"Ch-Chigau desu! It's just umm… It's kinda complicated…"

"C-om-plicated?…" Izuku robotically turned to stare at her, then lowered his gaze to her stomach.

"SUMIMASEN!" Izuku forcefully bowed down to Ochako.

"Eh!?"

"I'm so sorry for making you pregnant!"

"EH!?"

"PLEASE FORGIVE THIS USELESS MIDORIYA-SAN! I PROMISE I'LL FIND A REAL JOB AND TAKE CARE OF YOU BOTH!"

Mummers could be heard from around the train.

"That young couple is…"

"This is why you use protection…"

"And from UA too! I swear those…"

Ochako grabbed his shoulders and dragged him back up.

"That's not it!" She screamed at him, blushing red with embarrassment.

"EH!? SO IT'S ANOTHER GIRL'S CHILD!? FORGIVE ME FOR BEING SUCH AN UNFAITHFUL PARTNER!"

"Adultery at that age? For shame…"

"Can't wait to see the mess these two grow up to be…"

"I feel so sorry for the girlfriend…"

"THAT'S NOT IT EITHER!" She yelled, looking like a ripe tomato.

Ochako started to shake him violently.

"Then -WHAT- do-YOU-mean? "

"Now domestic abuse too?…"

"Serves that cheating bastard right…"

"But in public? Really…"

The commentary from the commuters was starting to get to her. "It's uhh… It's uhh…" Swirls started to form in Ochako's eyes again.

"stop-SHAKING-me-PLEASE!"

Ochako finally let go of him and calmed herself down.

"So whose child is it?"

Ochako sighed.

"You took in Eri at the start of freshman year, around the end of the first trimester I think?"

"Eri? That's her name?"

Ochako nodded. "You never told me all the details, just that you chanced upon her one day and saved her from a… bird man was it?"

"Bird man?"

"Details, blame past you."

"Right…"

"She sorta became attached to you, or you became attached to her? Honestly it looked like both, and then you started feeding her, caring for her… basically being her dad."

"Does my mom know?"

Ochako shook her head. "You said you didn't want to burden her."

"I see… So that's why I'm living in the dorms… besides the work that is."

Ochako nodded in confirmation. "Well, that and you owed Midnight-sensei a lot of favours for pulling you out of repeating the whole year."

"Midnight-sensei?"

"Your Academic Mentor."

"Ah."

"And dorm supervisor."

"Ah…"

"And technically your boss now."

"Ahh…" Izuku sweat dropped. It seems that it was going to be hard to avoid him, hopefully he doesn't realise Izuku's 'change'.

"Ah but it's ok! Midnight-sensei is nice!"

"Really?"

"But maybe not to you after everything…"

Izuku became depressed again. "Such misfortune."

Hopefully he would be able survive the end of the year at least, if the old Midoriya-san could do it he could do it too. Probably?

*Ding*

The train announced that they were close to arriving.

Izuku and Ochako alighted and made their way from the station to the front gates of UA.

"Wow…"

"Yeah I had the same reaction the first time I came to UA, pretty grand huh?"

Grand was an understatement, the gates seemed like they belonged more in a palace than a university. But guess that was Japan's most prestigious school for you.

"Yeah, thanks by the way."

Ochako tilted her head in confusion. "For what? Picking you up? It's no big deal, we're i-i-in a r-r-relationship dummy."

Izuku sweat dropped, it seems Ochako-san was still embarrassed about being in a serious relationship.

"No, I mean thanks for catching me on the way in, remember at the enterance exam?"

"Oh that!" Ochako nodded. "I-It was no big deal, I remember you were shaking your nerves off that day! But I guess that was to be expected."

"Expected? Why what happened that day?"

"What? Don't tell me you've forgotten about the…. entrance….exam…"

It was Izuku's turn to tilt his head in confusion. "Ochako-san?"

"You remember how I caught you that day?…"

"Well yeah? It was pretty hard not to, you just held your hand up and tried to catch me with your quirk, but it didn't work so we both toppled down. Now that I think about it, that was so embarrassing."

"You remember how I caught you that day?…"

"Umm, Ochako-san didn't you hear what I just said? Yeah I re-….member."

It just hit Izuku.

How exactly did he remember?

Didn't he lose all his memories?

Didn't he lose all his experience as 'Midoriya Izuku'?

He couldn't recall what happened before or after that particular event.

But he could remember it now, clear as day.

He could remember the memory of how he and Ochako met that very day.
