I return to school a month later, dreading the scorn of my fellow classmates. Not only was I disfigured and ugly, but i had caught the attention of the most spectacular boy on the planet. Girls and boys alike glared at me with seething jealousy as I walked down the hall to my homeroom. I'm a few doors down when I pass by the trophy case. I come to a halt. My eyes drift downward to the heart I engraved. It may be vandalism, but it was true love. It is true love.

"Something wrong my love?" a warm hand slips into my right, and I instantly smile. Suddenly the scorn of the school seemed so distant. My Atti was there, guarding me like the angel he is. I glance up at him, a bit embarrassed.

"I-its this carving" I whisper, gesturing towards the initialed heart on the case. "I may have had the tiniest crush on you, for the longest time… and I carved our initials into this heart, in hopes that you would notice me, like the senpai you are."

Atticus looks down at me, grinning at my bashfulness. "That's so cheesy," he says in a hushed tone, "but it's the most romantic and stalker-ish thing anyone has ever done for me."

We stare into each other's eyes for what seem hours. My heart still races around him, as though a single word could shatter the wonderful relationship we had built over the past month. "Atti…"

He just smiles, and swoops down and claims my lips.

We are startled out of our embrace by the first bell. "I should get get going…" I say quickly shielding my face from his in a futile attempt to hide my blush.

I scurry down the hallway to Room 875.4, my homeroom. I made it in time, thank god. Getting detention is not apart of my plan for my first day back. Besides, I wouldn't be able to meet up with Atticus after school ends.

A scolding voice interrupts my thoughts "OooooOOOoh look, the crippled pansy is back! Nice of you to join us! Hopefully you didn't lose any of those brain cells while you were out cold in the hospi."

Bob. He's back from suspension, and he doesn't look happy.
