The new normal:

Ten months passed easily. Many changes had occurred and the old scared abused Harry along with the annoying know-it-all Hermione Granger, were now non-existent.

For Harry, the most important changes were his health. After the first two months of regular weekends being spent at his mother's house, most of the major healing to his skeleton was complete. All his broken bones had been reset properly but it had been a painful affair. As the various potions did their work throughout the school term, Harry would often feel sensation returning to his nerves. His sense of taste became very sensitive, and his nose could discern smells accurately. Priya had been nervous as she had never tested many of the spells. However, her ideas to design spells around biological systems that she had studied via medical anatomy textbooks, allowed her to truly target specific systems in Harry's body.

Priya wondered if she should undertake Mundane Medicine as an official course of study. Perhaps more intimate knowledge of the human body would serve her well? She laughed as she realised that perhaps the age-old joke of "Indians being medical doctors" was going to come through for her. Exactly what she had attended Hogwarts to avoid, was now on the horizon. Fate was strange, sometimes.

As Harry's appetite increased, he became more curious. He began to eat everything that he could find. Harry had become a renowned visitor to all the takeout vendors in London. Chinese, Thai, Latin, Middle Eastern, Mexican – it did not matter. Grace and the Elves for providing transportation got some of the food as a reward. Harry also made it a habit to frequent decent but not necessarily overpriced restaurants to experience continental fine dining. Naturally, his company included his entire extended family. They all ate, and they laughed. The family dinners at Priya's house continued, when possible.

As his Magic began to flow in his body and the exercise increased his general sensitivity, his body complained less as he pushed through the pain. Harry soon became responsible for his routine and William was now a supervisor, as he asked about his improvement or problems. He began to put on muscle mass and height. William was now running with Hermione, to experience some father and daughter time and it was a competition.

May had arrived and Harry continued to read vicariously. With internet access, Harry found himself quickly learning large amounts of knowledge as he watched tutorials, videos and anything that interested him. To learn at an accelerated pace his method was simple: He would teach Invictus at least three scientific concepts every day by trying to explain them with the simplest language possible, with the most minimal amount of words. The idea was to develop conciseness and deep knowledge about the world quickly. Invictus caught in quickly by accompanying Harry all over the neighbourhood, and London.

At school, he did not display the full capability of his talent. He always left something deliberately incorrect so that the school administration would believe he needed improvement. Harry had decided to deliberately ramp his performance very slowly. The reason for this was simple – he wanted any observers to infer that his increase in intelligence was proportional to his growth spurt. They would assume that his initial problems at school, were because he was not developmentally ready. His main notebook which he did accelerated studies continued to be private. Harry also began working through Occlumentic exercises present in Lorna's binders and the books he had purchased in Diagon Alley. Often there were done before his sleep, and it aided his memory.

At the end of May, all the individuals involved in Harry's life received a pleasant surprise. As the Peverell trunks had been unpacked, Harry found fifty-three prototype wands that Glaucon had produced. From this set, Harry had found a prototype wand that was a forerunner to the famed death stick. His thirteen-inch wand featured a Fenrir hair core matched with a mixture of Alder and Rowan wood, along with an internal gold sleeve for enhanced conductivity. It was extremely flexible and the wand felt comfortable, like an old friend.

The wand recognised Harry as a descendant and a rightful owner.

Hermione had found a wand that had been made with Pearwood and Silver Limewood that had been fused into a singular material. The dual-core wand consisted of a white river monster spine that had been stabilised with Chimera talons. The wand was short at mere nine inches and inflexible. To Hermione, this wand represented fearsome things in small packages. The wand seemed to love Hermione's curious and highly ordered mind when she first held it in the Null-box the tip glowed slightly. She knew immediately this was her wand and Priya had confirmation that Hermione had to pack a lot of power.

There was no question about if Hermione was a witch now. So Harry did have the ability to sense magic.

The null-box had become an informal 'hang-out' location for Hermione. Grace would apparate Hermione directly to 'the box' and they would spend the evening doing homework and reading whatever magical textbooks they desired. Grace had become a sort of courier – she would pick up items from the Singh or Granger household. It often included snacks and food and Harry and Hermione slowly began to eat more and more as their Magical cores grew.

Grace did not mind one bit as she loved to apparate with her lightning. She was aware that both of her young wizards were pushing themselves. Grace had seen some trouble with flying long distances, so she decided to be as active as possible to develop her strength. Hermione's exercise and conscious attempt to practice Occlumency allowed her to access her magical core, not necessarily to do wanded magic but to learn faster and to improve her recall ability. Hermione Granger and Harry Potter became the rising stars of St. Grogory's Primary and it had not been unnoticed that they were a pair. This cemented the idea that both of them were meant to be great academics.

The most hilarious thing that had happened was when Jean Granger awoke to Hermione yelling excitedly:

"Mom! I can use magic to style my hair. Harry taught me how! No more messy hair!"

Jean considered this one of the many blessings that magic provided as she would no longer have to help Hermione with her hair. That brushing was something that Jean honestly dreaded. Many times, when Mipsy and Tipsy were finished at the Dursleys, they would come over and take care of things at Hermione's place. Jean often found herself only responsible for cooking and she made it her business to thank the House Elves.

"Miss Granger and Sir Granger have magics in their blood. Miss and Sir can't use wands, but we elves can feel the magics when you thank the elves. Master's grandparents are just likes Miss Hermione's parents. Gratitude helps elves magics to be strong, that is why we likes to works here!"

This had answered many questions for both of the Granger adults as they were informed that they 'almost squibs'. Hermione had been quite concerned if the House Elves were 'enslaved' but the elves soon explained that slavery for them was only if a wizard refused to give gratitude after they had given of themselves. As long as magic was exchanged for their physical labour, it was fine.

"So, slavery still goes on in the magical world when it comes to House Elves? It depends on how they are treated by their masters not so? Such barbaric people, some Wizards."

"Yes, but we elves who works for Harry Potter gets magics. Master Harry Potter and Miss Hermione and their entire family thanks elves. Full of lots of love. All of us are strong. Some of us are beginning to grows hair back."

"Could we transfer magic from ourselves into the elves? Would that help with your health?" asked Hermione.

"I don't knows Miss, nobody has never tries that before"

"We will work on it. I will talk to Harry as he has a talent for it. I promise we will find out more."

Tipsy and Mipsy hugged Hermione and said:

"We elves are very lucky. Many of the others had unkind masters before. We know the greatest Wizards ever!"

Hermione blushed scarlet and said "From now on, it is Mione for you. We are friends. Friends have nicknames, don't they?"

With all the hard work that had been going on, Harry also made time to relax. Their academic performance at school was excellent, and studying for both Harry and Hermione was now a matter of personal enlightenment. Hermione and Harry began to have regular movie nights and Harry finally got time to enjoy the various movies that had spawned from various books. Harry and Hermione also got into computer games and would occasionally play with each other on the same team – whether it was Halo or Warcraft it did not matter.

Harry continued to take notes of ideas that he thought were interesting, and he committed them to his scrapbook.

It was the beginning of July and the school term had just finished. Harry and Hermione had gotten a small celebratory party as both of them had finished at the top of their classes. While Harry was very aware that his effort was towards more long term goals, he considered this gesture to be rewarding.

Harry often sorted through his mindscape to review his personal store of his memories with a fine-tooth comb. He often desired to see his mother and father and he would rewatch his memories regularly. Harry also concluded that Uncle Remus and Uncle Sirius loved him to death and that they utterly adored him. He began to reconcile information about his family along with what he had read in his parent's journals. He had promised himself that he would work towards reacquiring Remus and Sirius.

It was during this time that Harry celebrated his first birthday party on July the 31st. It had been a big bash and Harry enjoyed himself thoroughly. Priya's humble home was filled with magical decorations and the elves along with Amba had prepared all the food. Harry was forced to unbox all his presents in front of the entire crowd and Harry found the affair embarrassing, but not unwelcome.

Hermione and her family had bought him many of his favourite science fiction novels in hardcover format. Lorna had given him a black cactus leather jacket and pants along with a pair of stylish all black boots. Priya had insisted that he try it on, and when he had returned from his room, he looked like a rockstar. Ved and Amba as religious Hindus had given him some Indian clothing and various religious trinkets that had been blessed. Harry was only too happy to wear the Lord Ganesha pendant around his neck. While Harry was not sure if he was religious, any gift from his adoptive grandparents was certainly treasured.

But Priya's gift had been the most precious of all. She had given him an album of pictures that were evidently taken from her memory. It showed Harry as a young and abused young man on the first day they had met, and how much he had progressed in five months. As he tenderly examined the album, Harry could see a much happier and much healthier person. On the last page, there was a note.

"A good teacher will always have your back - Love you, your mother."

Harry gave her the biggest hug and told her that it was the best present he ever received.

Grace began her missions around the beginning of August and she soon found out that according to the pet tracker, she could only apparate one hundred kilometres, inclusive of a return journey. Then she needed a half-hour of rest to top off her magical core to apparate again. Snaggletooth was the best travelled, and he would apparate Grace to and from the coastline in Dover. Grace would use her magic to apparate as far out as possible and glide to Calais in France, before resting and returning. While it was unlikely Azkaban was there, Hermione had suggested that controlled flights would build Grace's stamina and the phoenix considered it an adventure.

Harry continued to read his parents' journals. It was here that Harry finally grasped most of the story. Harry learnt about Lilly Potter as Lilly Evans – a muggleborn girl in a Pureblood world, trying to survive. There was no lack of talent but the cultural customs of the wizarding world generally provided for either a committed lady of the manor or a single woman who was an expert in her field. He learnt that Severus Snape was a childhood friend who lived a little bit after the grocery that he currently shopped at for his snacks. Eventually, a stakeout was in order.

He continued to read, as his mother related through the inked pages that she had liked Severus very much, but he could only insult her upbringing and insult the Muggle world. Lilly had noted that Severus could never see anything good in the muggle world because his father was abusive to him as a boy, and he had already made up his mind. He had hoped that Lilly would come into his world, and they would live happily ever after. Lilly often recorded in her journal that she was tired of his comments and his behaviour but still considered him a friend.

Harry encountered the Marauders from Lilly's perspective and the arrogant James Potter, the spoilt child who was the bully of Severus Snape. The other members included Sirius Black the womaniser and Remus Lupin the bibliophile. Peter Pettigrew was essentially the fourth wheel in their group – appreciated by the other three, but not necessarily the most confident or talented person. He was often a lookout during their escapades. The teachers of Hogwarts came alive as he continued to read. McGonagall the stern transfiguration mistress, Flitwick the eccentric excitable charms professor, Babbling the Runes Professor and all the others were soon spoken of in passing because Lilly had opted to take all the subjects. He also learnt about the Hogwarts houses and the rivalries between Slytherin and Gryffindor as Severus and James exchanged volleys regularly.

He also learnt about Ophelia Pinegrew, her secret Slytherin best friend. He encountered Horace Slughorn the socialite and many others. Madam Pomfrey was the injury specialist and all-round Head Healer of the Hospital Wing where deadly accidents seemed common in the Wizarding world.

He began to understand the Pureblooded arguments that Lilly often heard about Muggles, and the rise of the Death Eaters. Lilly had surmised that Lord Voldemort was a student from Hogwarts. He understood the culture of Wizarding England world too intimately and his vendetta seemed personal.

Finally, Harry understood the 5th year debacle that Petunia had spoken about. When his mother had been insulted, Snape's hidden thoughts had finally come out. Lilly was merely an exception to the Muggles for him, but as far as he was concerned, they were still animals. When Lilly's heart was broken by the fiasco in the fifth year, Lilly decided more drastic measures were needed, when it came to dating. She set up a simple litmus test to filter out the morons, by the time she had reached her NEWT years and it was a rather simple affair:

Any pureblood or halfblood guy who was interested in her had to be willing to go through a couple of dates in the muggle world. Movies and popcorn. If it got more serious, a Star Wars movie date on an old TV that she had at the back of the tool shed was the next step. If no frowns or insults had come about until this milestone, then things could become more relaxed.

For muggle guys, this run around would not be necessary. However, muggleborn boys avoided her because she represented a muggleborn who could run with the purebloods in terms of magical capability. This sometimes made her a pariah - too good to be muggleborn, not good enough to be pureblood was the general description of Lilly Evans. Of all the men who did not survive the challenge, James in his 7th year was the only young man who had managed. It began when he had explained to Lilly in the Gryffindor common that he had liked her enough for the idea of 'being muggle' not to be of any consequence. He was interested to find out what it was like, as a young man who had been raised as a pureblood.

That had won him three dates in Hogsmeade and suddenly after some questioning, James had realised he had learned rubbish in his Muggle Studies course at Hogwarts. When James had visited the Muggle world for their fourth date he had been scared out of his wits.

Cars? Billboards? Electronics?

It was at this moment James understood that muggles had literally outshined and out engineered magicals with only their wits. When he saw the Star Wars movies for the first time, instead of frowning, he yelled afterwards

"That is the most amazing thing I have ever seen!"

That was it. James immediately acquired a Credit card and begged Lilly to take him to stores. He bought all the merchandise and decorated his room. Suddenly to the surprise of Charlus and Dorea, James' room began to sport Darth Vader posters, Tie Fighter Models and even had a Chewbacca plushie. They became acutely aware that a girl had been involved.

Obi-Wan Kenobi was the greatest of them, according to James.

James slowly began to understand muggle advancement and openly enjoyed the more luxurious things. He never complained about anything. If Lilly liked it, it was good enough for him as far as James was concerned. Lilly would become enamoured with his acceptance of her, and it would be the catalyst of their marriage. While it had been a beautiful love story and Charlus as Head of House Potter adored Lilly, at the same time the journal entries became darker as the Death Eaters made their appearances. It started with Muggle-baiting and then slowly escalated into deadly skirmishes. Sirius and James would join the Auror academy as the situation became dangerous, rather quickly.

The Wizarding War of England had arrived.

Here, both of them would meet the Prewitt Twins and Molly Prewitt by extension. With the ongoing terror attacks, Molly had decided to marry Arthur Weasley rather early and there was much celebration when William Weasley had been born. Alice Fortescue and Frank Longbottom would soon marry each other afterwards but held off on having a baby with the ongoing Death Eater attacks. Lord Voldemort had openly revealed himself and he began to attack random buildings.

St Mungo's had not been spared. Nor was the Ministry of Magic.

Sadly, the Prewitt twins were killed by Death Eaters later on. The tide of the war had turned, and the Aurors could not deal with the large numbers of Death Eaters. Bagnold had been forced to step down and Cornelius Fudge had taken up the post. However, he mostly chose to ignore the intel reports that suggested that the number of Death Eaters numbered between 2500 – 3000 individuals. Why would he acknowledge that? It would imply that at least one-fifth of the Wizarding population was sympathetic or was equally afraid of the Dark Lord. The Dark Lord had three thousand at his beck and call.

Lilly was now pregnant with Harry and she began to have visions which she could not explain. Nonetheless, the stakeout missions under Dumbledore's Order of the Phoenix failed to yield any useful and actionable information and Lilly became dissatisfied with the soft policies that Dumbledore insisted on using when dealing with Death Eaters. Harry smiled as his mother spoke affectionately about his birth in her journal. His birth had occurred at a hospital and Neville Longbottom was born one day after.

His mother, Lilly Potter gladly took up the role of being Neville's Godmother. Conversely, Alice Longbottom had taken up the role of his Godmother. This once again confused Harry. Why Alice had not bothered to adopt him? Unless…

Harry began to suspect that something terrible had happened to the Longbottoms.

Naturally, he asked Lorna to dig up some information and Harry was soon acquainted with the name Bellatrix, Rodolphus and Rabastan Lestrange. Also, Barty Crouch Junior had been involved. Frank and Alice Longbottom had been tortured into insanity with the Cruciatus Curse. As Harry explained this revelation to Invictus, he explained:

"Sometimes it is necessary to kill, especially in the name of defending your nation, your home and your family. If this is the way Dumbledore dealt with the issue the last time around, should another war arrive, the innocents will lose good people and the Death Eaters will fall back into society unnoticed. Study hard and train yourself. You will eliminate all of them. One by one."

Harry continued through the pictures in his mother's album book and connected the faces and events. He saw pictures of Ophelia Greengrass nee. Pinegrew, along with Cyrus Greengrass and their daughter Daphne Greengrass. He understood from the explanations provided by his mother that the Greengrass family were a Pureblood family that was neutral – they had not taken any side in the war. While it seemed that Ophelia loved Lilly and would gladly fight with her, Cyrus had not changed his stance. Harry decided that with regards to the Greengrass family, he would get in touch much later after he was sure of their allegiances.

Lilly had commented that James was not sure if he was capable of killing whether it was magical or muggle. James had always banked on Dumbledore fixing the issues as long as they knocked out the Death Eaters with stunners. Lilly had even suggested that they at least purchase firearms but James trusted Dumbledore.

Harry realised that hesitation had cost his family.

The situation escalated to rumours, that the Dark Lord was after the Potters. The hiding, the safehouses, the Fidelius and Sirius' plan to switch places with Pettigrew came to the forefront. As the war began to get desperate and Voldemort pushed into magical England with renewed vigour, Cornelius had authorised through the ICW, foreign Kill Teams to deal with the issue. When the Dark Lord was attacked, he regenerated limbs and replied in kind to his aggressors. When he had finally been killed, he returned a week later looking even more inhuman as he proceed to systematically hunt down the wizards who had temporarily maimed him. As Harry read on, he understood why people had feared the Dark Lord – Lilly suspected that Voldemort had preserved his soul somehow, but she had no idea how a person would go about accomplishing something of that nature. The claims resounded as he considered even King Ragnok did not want to immediately speak about this issue.

This was when Harry realised that Lilly had decided to sacrifice herself. She researched and combed the various world cultures looking for a ritual that would protect her son. She found it and enacted it on Harry. Harry realised that his mother had been willing to sacrifice herself for the greater good of Wizarding England – but not without taking a piece of Voldemort out. Voldemort had been destroyed as the piece of Nordic warlock magic combined with a Druidic ritual had done the job.

"Grandpa?"

"Hmmm?"

"Do you think the magic that mom did, perhaps brought out the Peverell Warlock Magic? I am descended from you through Lucretia not so? I get the feeling perhaps mom had Druidic lineage? The Muggles do not know much about the Druids, however. She had a lot of visions while she bore me as a child?"

"I suspect so – you see there was homage to the ancestors. The paternal and maternal line was honoured and she sacrificed the life of herself and her husband for you. It is a powerful magic that protected you even when you fought off that piece of filth from your scar."

Harry was now deep in thought that evening as Invictus continued his suppositions:

"Magic is sacrificial and you have spent most of the protection to beat death. Only minor gifts from your mother's original enchantment remain. This is why you must develop countermeasures for what will eventually come. We will plan accordingly."

Harry also dug into his father's journal. James had never been a fan of keeping a journal regularly updated, but he did keep notes of his pranking plans and sometimes wrote occasionally. From the scribbles, he learnt much about his father. As a young man, James believed that Lilly would fall for him if he was cool. Harry also received some insights into his grandfather and his grandmother.

From what he understood, they were considered a controversial match because Dorothea 'Dorea' Potter was formerly Dorothea Black. House Black had been notorious for producing people that delved deeply into Dark magic and had traditionally been supporters of eliminating Muggles from the wizarding world. Dorea Black on the other hand had been a healer and never seemed interested in any of that nonsense. This put Sirius Black into perspective – he was easily a "Black Sheep" no differently from his grand-aunt.

James had welcomed him warmly because his mother had been a Slytherin and James did not necessarily think that all Slytherin students were Dark wizards in training. Eventually, as the years passed on, the discovery of Lupin's "Furry Little Problem" would play a role in one of the biggest decisions that the group of friends would make. They would become Animagi or Wizards who could change into an animal form at will. Suddenly the names made sense. Prongs, his father was a deer. Padfoot was a Grimm – a big shaggy dog. Wormtail was not surprisingly a rat and Moony was already Werewolf.

One of the heirlooms that Harry was soon introduced to, was the legendary Marauder's Map. Harry laughed as he realised that a map with the ability to show every individual present within Hogwarts, truly allowed his father and his group of pranksters to be an absolute terror. This impressive piece of magic had been made in their 5th year.

The story continued until some of the more defining moments had occurred – Sirius Black running away from home, James saving Severus Snape from a transformed Lupin the Shrieking Shack, and James and Sirius joining the Auror academy at Hit-Wizards. The journal updates then changed their tone, as the war arrived – James Potter was now an Auror and was fighting Death Eaters with Sirius regularly. He now considered meals at the leaky cauldron with Sirius and time spent with Lilly at home as a blessing.

His father's time at the academy had been interesting – the recollections detailed his training, meeting Frank and Alice and how they had gotten out of a lot of bad scrapes because of Frank's creativity and Alice's ability to barrage the opponents with an almost continuous stream of spells. Finally, James was going to be a father, and Frank was also in the same boat. The journals talked about Harry having playdates with Neville after both of them were born. Next on the list was supposedly a playdate with Daphne Greengrass, daughter of Cyrus and Ophelia Greengrass.

The journal now was filled with blank pages, and Harry suspected this was when the Dark Wanker had shown up.

Harry began to look forward to the rest of the year. While it was early August, Hermione's birthday was on September the 19th. Amba's birthday was on the 24th of October and his Mother's birthday was on the 4th of November. Three birthdays within three months. Harry had enjoyed his birthday party very much and was hoping he could celebrate the birthdays of people who meant the world to him. He continued to study the politics lessons with Lorna as the rest of August proceeded. Lorna had provided him with cultural etiquette classes and even explained the significance of the Sacred Twenty Eight – a group that the Potters were excluded from, based on their acceptance and support for Muggleborns.

Later in August, both Hermione and Harry had a shared success that changed everything. Within the null-box, Harry had managed to produce Lumos after attempting it several times with no success. Sure it was not his first spell, but being able to cast the note-making spell was not much of an achievement. Hermione had then put herself under pressure as she consciously guided the magic in her body to produce the spell. She managed to produce the spell, one hour later after Harry's successful attempt.

This milestone was very different from most other first-year students at Hogwarts. Purebloods generally had access to advanced magical theory but never cared to study it extensively. They naturally believed that their political connections would assure them of their continued supremacy. Meanwhile, Harry and Hermione were already actively guiding their magic with their intent.

"Are we using magic to excite electrons? Isn't that how light works?" asked Harry.

"Supposedly. We can watch a video about that and retry again tomorrow and see if there is a difference?" replied Hermione

The next day in the Null-box, Harry and Hermione found themselves producing the spell with approximately twenty per cent of the required energy.

"So, do you think the language makes the magic happen? I think it is the idea of what we want shapes magic. How else did science help us with the spell? I can feel the spell pulling less energy!" Hermione commented.

"Maybe we can look into how language works. The study of language – what is that? Not Grammar and those other things, like how it works?" asked Harry.

"Linguistics. We will have to do some digging," answered Hermione.

Little did both of them know, that they were openly exploring an area of magical study that was considered the equivalent of university-level study or as the Magicals called it – Mastery Level studies in Magical Theory.

The political classes continued and Lorna assured Harry that many other Pureblood houses did not necessarily have issues with muggles. There were approximately twelve families that were truly dark in the Wizengamot. Lorna went on to explain that the Wizengamot worked on power and alliances and if Harry showed up as Lord Peverell, a House that had equipped the founders with implements, that alone would cause a scene.

The Peverell House had preceded the formation of the Wizengamot, and they would be forced to acknowledge the lineage of the house as a Most Ancient and Most Noble house. While the Potters while not considered part of the sacred 28, House Potter certainly was a Most Ancient and Most Noble house based on its cultural heritage. The Potters had merely chosen not to brag about it. Harry got stuck into both the Potter and Peverell grimoire as he desired to find out more. Invictus translated the Peverell Grimoire slowly as he worked on understanding the magical theory.

Hermione's birthday party had been not too dissimilar to Harry's party. Harry had bought a high quality calligraphy and paintbrush set as she occasionally dabbled in painting and writing. Lorna had chosen to give Hermione a little basket of rather expensive cosmetics and hair care products which Hermione had loved. Priya had bought her a collection of Cal Newport's books – How to win at college, How to become a Straight-A Student and How to Be a High-School Superstar. Hermione had been so pleased that she tore into the set and began to read immediately before her father had spanked her playfully behind her head with some newspapers. Ved and Amba had chosen to give Hermione a beautiful all blue sari and Hermione was now anxious to wear the entire affair with Diwali coming around the corner.

Finally, her father and mother who had been impressed with her academic performance gave her raw cash. Five hundred pounds was her reward. Hermione who had been saving towards a new laptop was only too happy to combine the money with two hundred pounds of her savings. The next day, Hermione was now rocking a ThinkPad just like Harry and was no longer using her father's laptop to entertain herself.

Harry and Hermione continued to practice the spells as they explored how language had developed throughout human history. They considered that magic was related to energy production in mitochondria. Clearly, their physical exercise continued to provide a far better magical core for casting spells - Lorna and Priya had commented that many young people often struggled to produce spells when they entered Hogwarts and that nine year old children producing such a bright 5th-year equivalent Lumos was no joke.

Lilly's notes on what spells looked like, along with illustrated and animated purchases from Diagon alley helped fill in the blanks. With a lot of the annoying Hogwarts assignments out of the way, Hermione and Harry began to work through Charms and Defence against the Dark Arts material. Soon enough a magical mannequin had been purchased through Lorna, and it suffered regular abuse within the Null-box. Harry and Hermione often examined their spells via recorded video clips and began to tune them to perfection.

Suddenly tragedy struck as Amba's sister in India had passed away. Naturally, a flight was involved and the Divali and birthday celebrations were put off. Harry understood that Amba's sister Devi had provided a lot of comfort to Amba when she had first arrived as an immigrant and things were a bit rough and uncertain. Priya considered 'Aunty Devi' to be her favourite and the family in accordance with religious tradition and partially out of sorrow, held up on birthday celebrations.

The elves continued to fix Peverell Manor and Harry had visited occasionally with Lorna as repairs within the Elves' capability were made. Harry also began channelling magic directly into the elves as he finally learnt how to push magic through his fingers with constant wandless practice. Soon enough, the elves began to possess much softer features and many of them began to look like small pixies. Harry began to wonder if their degraded looks had been because of lost knowledge. Even the Elves were surprised by the changes brought about by the 'magical therapy' as their intelligence and complexity of their speech slowly but noticeably increased.

Christmas was now approaching and Harry had established a comfortable routine. During October, Harry had begun to experiment with 3D printing and CAD/CAM software. Fusion 360 tutorials, microcontrollers, general electronics and hardware development – he dabbled in it all.

Invictus began to appreciate Muggle engineering. The muggles or 'mundanes' as he preferred to call them had developed an entire ecosystem where any individual could buy jellybean electronics and put them together. That together with free code from the internet? It was possible to build complicated devices with basic knowledge. Invictus had named the process "Supermarket Artifact Creation" as he exercised his newfound knowledge of the Mundane world. Harry who understood the reference had laughed until he cried.

"See grandson – I can be funny!" was the reply Harry had given that evening.

Harry continued to read his mother's research as a particular question bugged him to no end, at the beginning of November.
