Hello- thoughts & Emotions

"Hello"- Edward hearing thoughts

...

Once Orion walked into the Biology room, he froze. The gorgeous bronze haired vampire was the one that his magic was reacting to. He slightly shook his head and walked to him. When he was settled in his seat, he turned to the vampire.

"Hello. I'm Orion," he said shyly. The affection he was feeling from the vampire was making him blush. Oh Merlin. Why is my magic reaching out to him? I've heard of it reacting, but not reaching out. Can he feel it? Wait... he tried to think back to his DADA classes and his eyes widened when he remembered Professor Lupin talking about it. I'm his mate he thought.

Shock. Fear. Hope. "Can you hear what I'm thinking?" Orion asked quietly. His grey eyes widened even more when the vampire nodded.

"Yes, I'm sorry if it makes you uncomfortable. It's not a gift I can control," Edward rushed. He's worried that Orion won't give him a chance because his ability is privacy invading. Before Orion could respond, Edward gripped his desk and stiffened in his seat. He let out a low growl when the appetizing scent grew closer.

Orion knew that the girl that just walked in was making Edward react like this. "Is that your singer?" he asked in his head so that he won't be heard.

Edward gave him a jerky nod, not trusting himself to speak. Orion didn't know how to help, but he scooted his chair closer to his mate and grabbed the hand that was gripping the desk. "It's okay. Focus on my voice and my scent," Orion said soothingly.

Trying to distract the vampire he asked, "You know, I don't think it's fair that you know my name and I don't know yours. Care to share love?"

Relaxing a little, Edward let himself soak into his mate's scent and answered. "Edward Cullen," he said gruffly.

Orion smiled and squeezed his hand. "Edward," he tested. Adoration. "Your ability doesn't bother me Edward. My own ability is invading. I'm guessing you already know."

Edward was fully relaxed at this point. His mate's scent and voice were helping him. That girl's scent wasn't anywhere on his radar. "Your ability doesn't bother me either,' he said as he leaned towards his mate. 'My brother is also an empath. He can help you."

Orion was beaming at Edward. "Really? Do you think he would? I've been having so much trouble with it and I've only had it for a little over a year. It's gotten better since my 18th birthday but it's still terrible and -" Orion was cut off at feeling Edward's emotions. Amusement. Happiness. It was so strong and he realized that he wasn't feeling anyone else's emotions besides his. Orion thought this was weird. Even when he focuses on one person, he can still feel other people's emotions. It's just muted. He figures that it's because he's Edward's mate.

Edward let out a little laugh. "I'm sure he will. How about you come over later tonight? I'm sure my mom and dad will love to meet you."

"I would love that. Is it okay if I bring my dad?" Orion asked.

Edward instantly said, "Of course."

Orion looked at Edward adoringly. "Great!" Before they can talk anymore, the bell rang. The teacher came in and took attendance. Edward's singer's name is Bella Swan. The rest of the class was long for Orion. He was trying to pay attention but he was lost will all the words and references the teacher was spouting. Not only that, but he was distracted by Edward, who kept rubbing his thumb along his hand. Edward's desire and his were almost getting to be too much and he didn't know what to do. Before Orion could do something stupid, the bell rang. He let out a sigh and relief and began packing up his stuff. Hearing Edward chuckle, he turned red. He momentarily forgot he could read his mind. I just met him and I'm already embarrassing myself he thought.

Edward ran his finger along Orion's jaw. "I think it's adorable."

Orion's face got even more red and he tried to stammer out a goodbye. He turned around and quickly made his way through the crowd to get to his next class. This is going to be a long day he thought.

His next class was English and it just droned on. Orion was too distracted to pay attention and he wished he can see Edward again. The pull he felt towards the vampire was addicting. The peace he felt when his magic reached out to him, left him feeling euphoric. He may have only just met him, but magic doesn't care. Once the bell rang, he navigated his way to the lunch room. He missed a few turns, but finally made it. Before he could attempt to find Edward, Jessica stepped right in front of him.

"Orion, right?' she didn't give him a chance to respond before she carried on talking. 'how do you know the Cullens? Did you know that everyone is already talking about you and Edward?"

Orion tried and succeeded to calm his magic. It wouldn't end too well if he lost control. "I've just met them today and I could care less about people talking to about me. I'm used to it," he said.

Frustration. Bitterness. She tried a different angle to get him to talk."I wouldn't bother with trying to go out with Edward. Nobody here is his type," she said bitingly.

He reveled in her bitterness. When Orion went to respond, Bella came up to them. Orion didn't notice it before but Bella was really plain looking. She had brown hair and brown eyes. Nothing about her stood out. "Hey! Who are those people sitting at the table over there?"

Orion looked to where she pointed and saw the Cullen Clan. He tried to go to them, but was stopped by Jessica's arm.

"Get your arm off me before I remove it," he proclaimed.

Orion quickly glanced at the Cullens and saw that Edward was subtly being restrained by the big vampire and the blonde vampire. He assumed the latter was the empath because he was starting to feel the emotions double. It was like he was feeling people from Jasper's point of view.

Jessica quickly removed it and responded, "Those are the Cullens. They are all like together."

Orion quickly understood. They're all mates. "What's wrong with that?" He asked. Bella nodded her head, but she didn't remove her eyes from the Cullens.

"Well it's weird because they all live together. You see, Esme and Carlisle Cullen adopted them," she said. Orion could tell she was trying to talk bad about them.

Bella turned to Jessica and whispered, "What about the guy that's sitting next to the small girl?"

Without turning, Jessica answered. "That's Edward. Isn't he gorgeous? Too bad he won't date anyone in school." Jealously.

Orion smiled at the jealousy coming from both of the girls. "Why is Bella jealous? Did she see us in Biology?" The question was directed to Edward. He frowned and shook his head, indicating he doesn't know.

Orion changed the subject back to why she had such a problem with them living together. So, he repeated his question, "What's wrong with that?"

Jessica rolled her eyes. "Isn't it obvious? It's weird because they're together and they all live under the same roof. I also heard that Esme can't have kids which I think is pitiful-" She was cut off by Orion slamming his hand on the table.

"I would watch my tongue if I were you Jessica. It's not anyone's business but theirs. You're lucky you're a girl or else you would've felt my hand," Orion whispered dangerously. His magic was begging to be let out and he knew he had to release it somewhere. He glared at Jessica before grabbing his bag and running outside. Breathe. Calm down. He made it to the edge of the woods and slammed his hands on the ground. Orion didn't know how he knew how to do this, but he learned long ago to trust his instincts. His magic released into the ground and he felt all the magic that he built up, be released. It was an odd feeling. Even though the excess magic was leaving, he felt his magical core tighten as if it was building up more. He had a feeling that he's going to be releasing magic quite often.

When he collapsed on the ground, he sat against a tree and closed his eyes. A couple of minutes went by and he felt an onslaught of emotions. Without opening his eyes, he said, "Jasper I would appreciate it if you didn't come any closer. I don't have a handle on my gift and your ability is doubling mine."

Concern. Relief. Pride. He felt all these emotions and with the way they were overlapping, there were more than 2 people here. Feeling defensive, he jumped to his feet and held his wand by his side.

"Hey what are ya doing with that stick?" The big vampire asked. Orion raised an eyebrow and looked at the rest of the Cullens. Rosalie facepalmed herself while the rest of them were shaking their heads.

The small vampire spoke up. "Do you not remember me telling you he was a Wizard? I literally told you about my vision 2 months ago!"

Vision? "Are you a Seer?" Orion asked. Merlin help me if she starts predicting my death everyday like Trelawney.

"Yes I am. My name is Alice," she said kindly.

"I would introduce myself, but it seems you already know me," Orion stated.

He heard a snort and turned back to the muscular vampire. "I'm Emmett, Rosalie's mate. It's nice to meet a real wizard Orion. Do you really ride on broomsticks?"

Orion laughed and the vampires looked at him with awe. He had such a beautiful laugh and his power seemed to radiate off of him. Orion composed himself. "Yes, we do. I will bring it to your house when my dad and I come over later. I'm sure you'll be able to ride it since you are technically magic."

Orion saw Emmett's mouth drop open. Excitement. Happiness. Orion couldn't help but smile widely at the vampire's emotions. I haven't felt this much happiness in years he thought. He saw Edward frown and grabbed his hand.

"Did Alice tell you why my father and I came to Forks?" He asked.

Edward was the one who answered. "No, she didn't. She just saws you coming here and what you were. Also, that you are my mate."

Orion hummed. "Well that's going to be a long story. Good thing you guys don't need sleep," he joked.

Rosalie let out a small laugh and said, "I'm glad you told Jessica off. I would've ripped her throat out if she kept talking."

As if he needed the reminder of that girl. "I didn't like what she said about your mom. Even if it can be fixed, it's not any of her business."

This got everyone's attention. "You do know vampires can't have kids, right?" Edward said slowly.

Orion's eyes widened. "Who told you that?"

"Well, the lack of results did," Rosalie sniped. This surprised Orion. Longing. Bitterness. Anger.

Orion looked at everyone and saw that they were tense. He felt confusion and longing coming from each of them. "Vampires can have kids if they have the right potions. Even male vampires can get pregnant."

All of the vampires were stunned. He let out a pained gasp when Rosalie ran up to hug him. "Rosalie be careful! He's still human and you're hurting him," Edward growled.

Edward put his hand on Orion's back and rubbed soothingly. Orion melted against his hand and gave him a smile.

Rosalie quickly softened her grip and let go. "I'm so sorry, but are you sure? You're not just saying that are you? Because if you are, I will kill you, "she threatened.

Edward growled. He heard Orion's thoughts. "Stop. She doesn't actually mean it." Edward stopped.

Orion looked straight into Rosalie's gold eyes. "I'm telling you the truth. Vampires can have babies,' he leaned closer to her and casted a small silencing spell around the both of them. 'I can feel your longing Rosalie, and I can help you. I can help you get the baby you desire."

He got rid of the silencing spell before stepping back into Edward's arms. "What did you say to her?" Edward questioned.

Orion just smiled at Rosalie in reply. All of the vampires were shocked, but the excitement was stronger.

"If you want, I can help each of you,' he expected to feel everyone's emotions, but once again all he felt was Edward. Longing. Excitement. Worry. Orion will have to talk to Edward about this later.

Before anyone could ask him any questions, he turned to Jasper. "Do you think you can help me with controlling my empathy?"

Jasper gave him a nod and a small smile. He was glad that he didn't have any urges to drain Orion of his blood. "Yes, I can. I can also teach you how to manipulate emotions."

Orion's eyebrow raised. "Manipulate emotions?" He didn't know what it was but it sounded exciting.

Jasper nodded in confirmation. "Yes, I will explain it to you at another time."

Edward loosened his arms around Orion and said, "I think lunch is almost over. We should be getting to class."

Orion's sparkling grey eyes widened. My dad is going to kill me he thought.

"Why is your dad going to kill you?" Edward asked. Orion felt amusement coming from him, but he was genuinely worried about his dad.

He didn't want to other vampires to hear so he spoke in his head. My dad told me to eat lunch because I skipped breakfast. My weight has finally gone to a healthy number and he doesn't want me to skip any more meals.

Edward shook his head and led Orion inside. Without looking at his siblings he said, "You guys go ahead and get to class. I'm going to take Orion to get some food."

Orion looked at him in shock, but couldn't help the adoration that rose up in him. He doesn't know what possessed him at the moment, but he stopped Edward in the middle of the hallway. He felt confusion coming from his mate and Orion kissed him on his cheek. "Thank you," he said sincerely.

Edward gave him a kiss on the cheek in return and laughed at the blush on Orion's cheeks. "Adorable," he said. He grabbed Orion's hand and led him to the cafeteria to get some food.

A/N: How did you guys like this chapter? Anything that doesn't make sense? Read and Review! Also, I will now be posting every Monday for this story. Would anyone like to see another crossover with either Harry Potter/Teen wolf or Harry Potter/Avengers? I'm leaning towards these two the most at the moment.
