"Hello"- Edward hearing thoughts

Orion was squirming in his seat. He was just so excited to see Edward that he couldn't stay still. Excitement. Anxiety. Orion could feel Edward and it was getting addicting. He normally has a lot of trouble with his empathy and wished he could get rid of it, but not now. Feeling his soulmate in his chest is something he wouldn't trade the world for. He thanked magic for blessing him with a soulmate. Someone that could ground him and make him feel safe. Orion was tired of making everyone else feel safe and he just wanted the comfort for himself. This was his chance. His chance at a new beginning.

Coming out of his revelation, he saw that his dad had pulled into the driveway of the Cullens. Orion admired the well-built and beautiful house. It was painted a soft white and was 3 stories tall. He could see that the porch wrapped around the first floor and was hit with a sense of comfort. He knew that whoever built this house was gifted.

"Ready pup?" his dad smiled.

Orion rolled his eyes. "Dad, you know they could hear us, right?"

His dad just smiled. "Of course. I'm just making sure my only son is alright."

"Let's just go dad," Orion said. He could already feel the faint blush in his cheeks. "Edward, please don't judge me by my father."

Amusement. Joy. Orion and his dad walked to the door and before they could knock, a graceful woman opened the door. She had brown hair with caramel highlights and was about 5'6. From the amount of love and care she has in her, Orion could tell that that was her gift. He's never felt such a motherly presence before, even with Molly. It was very welcoming.

"Hello, I'm Esme. Edward and Alice have told us about you." Esme smiled. "Why didn't you tell me about your mother's gift?"

He felt confusion coming from him, but replied to Esme. "This is my dad, Sirius. Your home is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for welcoming us."

The love Esme was projecting got stronger. Orion inhaled sharply and let out a shaky breath. "Are you alright?" Esme asked. Orion could feel the concern coming off of her in waves and it just made him stare at her wide eyed.

Edward came up from behind his mother and cupped Orion's cheeks. "Ry! Are you okay?"

Orion snapped out of it and looked into his mate's eyes. Reaching up to put a hand on his cheek, he responded. "I'm fine. Why didn't you tell me about your mother's gift? It would've been a good thing to tell me."

His dad came from behind him. What do you mean pup? What happened?"

Orion pushed past Edward and his dad and went to Esme. "I've never felt anything like it before. I don't know what it is exactly, but your gift is amazing."

Everyone stared at him. But Jasper was frustrated. "What are you talking about Orion? Your emotions are all over the place."

Esme grabbed Orion by his hand and that snapped him out of the haze he was in. "Wow. If that's what I feel every time I'm around her, I should come here a lot."

"I don't have a gift dear. Only Alice, Jasper, and Edward have one." Esme smiled.

Orion frowned. "Of course, you do. All of you do. Jasper should be able to feel it since he is also an empath."

"Feel what?" Jasper nearly shouted.

Sirius held his wand threatening in his hand. "I would appreciate if you didn't shout at my son. Especially if it isn't his fault."

Jasper froze, then nodded. "I'm sorry Orion. It's just we have no idea what you're talking about."

Rosalie came forward with Emmett. "What do you mean we have all gifts?" She asked nicely.

Orion looked around the room and he just now noticed a blonde man who was about 6'2. He was also beautiful like all the other vampires.

Orion blushed. "I'm sorry. It's just Esme gives off very strong emotions of love and comfort. It's like being embraced and it's so welcoming. Esme could compel the most hardened man and make him soft. It's so... addicting. Especially since I don't have any... nice experiences with my guardians."

Hearing a growl, Orion turned and saw Rosalie being held back by Emmett. "What's wrong Rosie?"

That stopped Rosalie, but it didn't stop her glare. "What did your dad do to you when you were younger."

Orion put a comforting hand on Rosalie and felt her concern for him. "He didn't do anything. In fact, I've only found out about him just a few months ago. Him and my bearer were... separated from each other and I didn't know about the both of them."

The blonde man stepped up. "Bearer?" he paused a moment before smiling. "I'm Carlisle, Esme's husband."

Sirius was the one who responded. "It's nice to meet you and yes, bearer. Orion's other parent was a man. He gave birth to Orion."

All of the vampire's eyes were wide except for Alice. She just had a knowing look. Edward was the one to respond. "You mentioned earlier that male and female vampires can get pregnant." Edward put a hand on Orion's lower back and Orion was hit with a strong emotion of longing.

Orion blushed and with the help of his dad explained everything. Orion tried to skim some details about the Dursley's, but his dad wouldn't let him. When he got to the part about the beatings, Edward and Rosalie started to growl. He calmed Edward by holding his hand, but Rosalie was seething. Orion understood because of her desire to have a baby. Orion told them everything about his Hogwarts experiences and how he was betrayed by those he called family.

"Yeah, and that's everything," Orion sadly said. Edwards's arms were wrapped tightly around him and he was glad that he couldn't feel their emotions. From the looks on all of their faces, he for sure would've been going into am a magical rage.

Esme frowned. "How could they treat a child like that? And make him go through all of that?" If she could cry, then she would be.

Orion glanced tentatively at Rosalie. "It's over and done with now. All I want to do now is get to know my mate's family."

Carlisle spoke up. "Going back to what you said earlier, you said we all have gifts. Can you tell us what other gifts we have?"

Orion looked to his dad who smiled encouragingly. "Well I thought it was already known. Rosalie is beautiful beyond compare. She's more alluring than a Veela." Seeing the confusion, he added. "Veelas are very beautiful and can make you very attracted to them. They draw you to them."

Rosalie just grinned widely. Orion continued, "I'm not too sure about Emmett, but his size suggests that he's most likely stronger than all of you individually." Emmett was now smirking proudly. "And like I said before, Esme has a persuasion gift that focuses around a welcoming love to make people feel comfortable."

Esme looked proud, but there was something about them that made him think. "Why are you surprised? Surely Jasper or Alice have told you? Alice is a seer who sees subjectively right? And Jasper is a natural empath like me."

Everyone looked to the pair of them and they didn't respond. "Did you know?" Carlisle asked.

Orion focused on Alice and Jasper's emotions. Jasper was surprised, but Alice was stunned. "Alice, why didn't you tell them?"

Alice looked at her mate and tried to respond to his question, but Roslie shot off the couch. "Why did you let us think we are below you? That we aren't as powerful as you Alice?"

Jasper moved away from her and stood Orion and Edward, who were both sitting on a loveseat together. Sirius, was sitting on the arm of the couch next to Orion.

Alice looked sad, but Orion could tell how she really felt. There was some sort of haze on top of her emotions that suggested that she was forcing herself to feel this. Orion was surprised. "How can you control your emotions like that? You can't hide from a natural empath Alice."

Jasper sharply turned his head towards Orion. "She's faking her emotions?" He turned to Alice and demanded an answer.

All of a sudden, Alice shouted at them. "Because if I did, my vision of there being a baby in the family wouldn't come true. Edward has to be with Bella not this... Wizard," she spat.

To everyone's surprise Rosalie jumped to Orion's defense. "What are you talking about Alice? Orion literally said that vampires can have babies. Even men! What's wrong with you?"

Alice was fuming. "No! Orion ruined everything! Bella is supposed to have a baby and be turned into a vampire! The little girl will help so much in the future. This.." her eyes seemed to glow brighter before she said the one word that would hurt Orion. "Freak! Is not going to do anything besides tear apart everything! I may haven't seen it yet but it's bound to happen!"

Before she could say anymore, Sirius whipped out his wand and stunned her. He turned to Orion who looked stunned and he knew his son was back in his memories. He grabbed Orion and hugged him to his chest. Sirius heard a growl and he saw Edward growling at him. He hesitated, but motioned his head so Edward could comfort his mate. Edward didn't waste a moment to wrap Orion up in his embrace. Orion took some deep breaths and burrowed into Edward's chest. When he was of sound and mind, he wondered about something. "Why doesn't your body feel rock solid to me?"

Edward's arms wrapped around him tighter. "It's because we're mates. We're made for each other."

Orion blushed and was startled by his dad's laughter. "You're just so cute pup. I know your future babies will be absolutely gorgeous."

Orion's eyes widened and he started spluttering. "Dad! What is wrong with you? Remember what we talked about?"

Sirius just continued laughing, but stopped when he saw Rosalie giving him a small glare. "Aw come on Orion. He's your mate. I'm not going to have this chance again. Hey! Why is she glaring at me?"

Orion looked at Rosalie in surprise. Emmett laughed and said, "She's a bit protective over Orion."

Sirius smiled. "Why?"

"He doesn't need a reason, but I can tell you that he's absolutely adorable. More adorable than any other of my brothers. And he can help me with having a child."

Sirius laughed again. "He is adorable isn't he." he looked at Orion and laughed louder. "Look! He's even pouting."

Orion scowled. A signature Severus Snape look. Mumbling under his breath, he sent a hex towards his dad that would make him turn into a cat. When Orion saw his dad, he broke down laughing. He laughed so hard; tears were coming out.

Esme smiled widely at cooed over the cat and Carlisle was watching the scene with amusement. Emmett, was in a similar position as Orion and Jasper was in the corner next to his stunned mate. Jasper was confused as to why she was being that way. She seemed genuinely honest earlier, but he guesses she was just faking her emotions like Orion said.

Edward ran his finger along Orion's cheek. "Why is it so funny?"

Orion had already stopped laughing as he felt his mate's love for him grow. "His animal form is a dog so I turned him into a cat. He hates cats."

Edward chuckled while wrapping an arm around Orion's shoulders. Orion simply smiled while leaning further into Edward.

Esme and Carlisle smiled at the scene. Orion looked at Esme and wondered about what they do during the day, so he repeated the question out loud.

"I am a doctor and Esme stays at home and keeps a cover of a housewife."

Orion frowned. "Why do you stay at home Esme?"

Everyone noticed how he directed the question at Esme specifically and Edward smiled fondly at him.

Esme smiled sadly. "I can't be around humans too much. I don't have the greatest control over my bloodlust."

Orion nodded, but asked Carlisle a question. "How can you work at a hospital?"

"I have always had a very good control over my bloodlust. I've never had blood in all my years of being a vampire."

Orion's eyes widened. "Compassion must be his gift." Edward nodded.

"You know, I can help you with your bloodlust Esme. My friend has a potion that will tame it. And it can help you to Jasper."

Esme gasped and Jasper gaped at him. "You can do that?" Esme looked so happy that he had to take another deep breath to control all the love going through him.

"Of course. You're family now," Orion smiled widely. Love. Adoration. Excitement. Edward's emotions were so positive and Orion practically preened at how he made his mate happy.

Jasper looked unsure. "Are you sure you want to help me? Even after what my mate said?"

"Of course. It's not like you knew anything. I think we can teach other about our shared ability."

Jasper nodded in agreement. Orion looked at the cat and turned him back. Sirius ran to Orion and grabbed him in a hug. "You're amazing pup."

Orion melted in his father's arms. "Thank you dad."

Sirius discreetly wiped his eyes and turned to the Cullens. Clearing his throat he said, "Well I think we should start to get going. It's getting late and Orion has school tomorrow."

Edward looked hesitant, but relaxed when Orion reached up and kissed him on the cheek. "I'll see you tomorrow morning okay Ed?"

Edward kissed Orion on the corner of his mouth. "Yes. I'll see you tomorrow Ry."

Orion turned to say goodbye was caught off guard as Esme hugged him. His eyes went wide but then they closed as Orion let himself be pulled into welcoming love she was broadcasting.

Orion thanked her for the pleasant evening and shook Carlisle's hand. He turned to Rosalie and she didn't hesitate to give him a hug. Orion whispered, "I'll get in contact with my friend for that potion for you Rosie."

Rosalie tightened her hug and gave him a kiss on the cheek while Emmett pushed his wife out of the way to hug him just as tightly. "Thank you so much for giving us this. We're forever indebted to you."

Orion wanted to decline, but held his tongue. He and his father walked out and Orion gave Edward a smile. "I'll miss you."

He felt Edward push his emotions toward him and he welcomed it. He was already getting antsy with seeing him. He shook it off and headed home with his dad.
