"Come now Autobots. Surely you won't let a mere Decepticon wait with precious organic lives on the line, will you?" the strange bot on the TV taunted.
Tyla flinched as she turned her head as if it would somehow help her see inside the train that currently held Sari and Bumblebee captive. A flare of red hair gave an indication that Sari was still up and running, so to speak, but there was no sign of Bumblebee.
The news drones were so focused on the train that she couldn't even see the rest of the Autobots. Cursing to herself, Tyla began to dial the frequency number the Autobots had given her in case of emergencies. She was about to press dial on Highdrive's frequency before she stopped cold.
What if he was in the middle of a rescue? What if her call distracted him at just the wrong moment? Cursing to herself, Tyla rushed to the break room, swung open her locker and grabbed her bag.
Her boss nearly came rushing after her, demanding to know what she was up to. As much as she would have loved to fill him in that she hung out with giant robots in her free time, she simply pushed his whining tone aside as she grabbed her things, slung her backpack on and started running.
I n the distance she could hear the man complaining about how her actions would reflect on her permanent record, but right now, she couldn't really give a damn. Her only priority right now was to find the shortest route to the town centre and hope there was something she could do to help.
