Chapter 10: Drew's Escape

It was about 11pm, Dingo and Townly were having a meeting with a large majority of the spies and special units in the lower level where the surveillance system and meeting area was. "The Tazmania government has been officially liquidated!" said Townly, "In order for things to go accordingly, we need you guys to take over certain government positions." "This is so it can look like the government is still up and running," explained Dingo, "We can't have the public know we run this island yet, nor are we prepared for their reaction. For now, here's where you guys need to work and just blend right in until it's time." Dingo handed out papers for every spy and unit which told them what position they needed to work and how to blend in.

Once the spies and units left, Townly went to a closet and brought out Drew who was still tied up in the chair. "Now you can talk to us without having to interrupt our meeting," said Townly. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THE ONES I LOVE?!" bellowed an angry but devastated looking Drew. "You don't deserve to know," snorted Townly. Dingo then took out his gun with poison darts. Drew noticed this. "A lier who lost everything and goes out like a fool," Dingo said, "What a reputation to leave behind." Unknown to Dingo or Townly however, Drew had untied himself during the meeting and was just pretending to still be tied up. Dingo aimed his gun at Drew but was suddenly caught off guard when Townly's cell phone rung.

With quick thinking, Drew leaped out of his chair, grabbed it, and threw it at Dingo before he could react quick enough. Agent Townly attempted to grab Drew but Drew slid under him and ran out of the room, down the narrow hall to where the elevator was. "SON OF A BITCH!" shouted Townly, as he bolted out of the room. Drew ran for the elevator but Townly grabbed him. "Your in big trouble now," the agent growled. Drew bit Townly on the arm, before he was set free and continued dashing towards the elevator. He got in it and the doors closed before Townly could reach him.

Dingo got up and Townly came back. "He's taking the elevator!" said Townly. Dingo quickly ran to where the camera screens were and pressed an alarm button. He then picked up a phone nearby, put it on intercom and said, "We got one of our suspects on the loose! He's taking the elevator up to you guys! Get him!" All spies who were in the building heard this and ran as fast as they could towards the elevator. Drew could hear the alarm going off. "Oh great!" he said to himself. He looked around to see if there was anywhere he could hide or escape.

The spies were waiting outside the first floor. They had their weapons out and ready. When the elevator reached the first floor and the doors opened, they fired immediately. However, nobody was inside. "What the hell?" one of them said. "Where did he go?" asked one. Some walked into the elevator but didn't see anything that was out of the ordinary. Above them though, Drew had gone out the exit hatch on top and closed it right before the elevator doors opened. He was looking where to go next. He then saw a ladder to the left of him that was attached to the shaft itself. Drew went up it and could see a window from the top. The spies were trying to figure out were Drew went, but then heard a noise from above. They smirked, knowing where the devil was at. Drew hit the window many times in an attempt to break it. He then heard something, and noticed the elevator coming up. The devil knew he had to break that window fast, or risk facing one on one with that elevator. Drew kept hitting the window, this time much harder than before. With the elevator getting closer and closer, Drew hit harder and harder! Finally, it broke! Just as Drew went through, the elevator reached the top where Drew would've been flattened if he hadn't broke it by that point.

Drew looked down and saw the parking lot. "That's a long way down," he murmured, "How am I gonna be able to get down from here?" The devil looked around to see if there was any possible way to get down. It didn't look like there was any possible way to get down without falling. Unknown to him however, the elevator went down one floor and out popped a spy from the roof hatch. Drew looked behind himself and noticed the spy. He was in such shock that he lost track of how close he was to falling but by the time he realized it was already too late. The spy saw Drew fall, much to his surprise.

Down bellow in the parking lot, two spies just inflated a bouncy house. "You sure this will be good for the festival outside of Hotel Tazmania in the next few days?" asked the first one. "It'll be good," replied the second one, "Someone could fall hundreds of feet and be just fine!" Just then, Drew came into view and fell onto it. The bouncy house deflated in seconds. "See? I knew that retailer was sketchy and you didn't believe me!" said the first spy. "Oh shut up and check to see who fell on there!" yelled the second spy. The first spy checked but before he could get a good look, he was trampled over by Drew. Drew ran and noticed one the spies black cars with it's windows down. He jumped and crawled into it, then tried to hotwire the car. The second spy ran towards the car, in an attempt to stop Drew but was unsuccessful as Drew started up the car and swerved out of the parking lot. He smashed through the gate and drove off as fast as he could. Dingo, Townly, and multitudes of other spies came running out. By the time they saw Drew driving off, he was quickly out of sight.

"YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE DREW!!!" Dingo screamed. "Uhh, do you want us to go after him?" asked a spy. "Obviously!" Dingo replied. The spies ran off to the parking lot. Agent Townly's phone went off again. He picked it up and said, "What?!...Before you get to the news, your call destracted me and the chairman from something important!...Well the past is the past now I suppose, what do you want?...Okay?...Your at the airport and I should care because?...Oh? Well, I guess I'll talk with the chairman about this." Dingo looked at Townly wondering what was going on. Townly hung up the phone. "Mr. Chairman," he explained, "The whereabouts of Taz and his siblings have been discovered. We officially don't need to worry about them!" "What's that supposed to mean?" asked Dingo, his facial expression slowly turning into a smile, "They're found dead?" "They took a flight to California!" Townly said grandly as he continued, "They are unlikely to come back here! Plus, the city they're going to they won't stand a chance in anyway! Sure they're alive but they're far away from us now! Looks like we don't have to worry about them anymore!"

Dingo was silent as he stared off into nothing. He snapped out of it and looked Townly right in the eyes. "WAIT WHAT?!" He bellowed as he grabbed onto Townly's coat. "Uhh...I guess it's not really a good thing?" he asked, seeing the clear anger in the Dingo's face as it turned red.
